Reviews of Jones & Sons

Vibrant and buzzing spot for brunch, hidden away off Dalston Kingsland High street. Fixed price all you can eat brunch with unlimited caffeinated and soft drinks, so if you fancy an eating challenge this is the place for you. Food is amazing quality and staff were lovely too.
J. A. L.
Amazing all-you-can-eat brunch, you can order your next order when everybody on the table has finished, reservations required. The waitress were warm, so the service was brilliant. I will recommend this place. We chose the £44 which included alcohol.
C. G.
The place looks the nice and they manage tk create a nice ambience. The bloody Mary was decent but the Sunday roast was quite disappointing. Very plain I would say. The potato were dry as well as the meat. =/ would not recommend it

Fabulous birthday lunch with my son. I had their vegan and he had the lamb Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious. Great service, plenty of waiters, good atmosphere. My son wasn't keen on the music - standard pop background stuff - but I just blocked it out. Definitely going back!

Amazing all-you-can-eat brunch. We went with the £34 non-alcoholic option and the service was brilliant. Anna, our waitress would come over the moment the dishes were cleared to take our next order. We ate our fill and tried all the dishes/drinks we wanted. Definitely recommend and we will be coming back!
Note: it starts at 11am and ends at 1pm so last orders are taken around 12.45pm, so make sure you arrive as early as possible.

I’m in two minds about this place. it’s a stunning restaurant, an appealing menu and a really chilled out atmosphere.
However, in its current format I believe it is missing the mark. The taste of the food was relatively good however some dishes felt incomplete or lacked care + the food was too cold.
I will definitely be back as this place has a lot to offer but didn’t quite hit the level on the night.

5 stars almost not enough.
Had my eye on this place for a while and the brunch seems to be popular but we came here for dinner a couple of weeks ago and wow. Outside dining but plenty of heaters and such a good atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, our server Pier was so approachable and helped us make choices when we asked. Food is first rate, some of the best I’ve had in London - photos don’t do it justice thanks to heater lamps! Burrata for starter and my partner went for the crab gnocchi. Both so well put together in terms of taste and presentation. We had fish and lamb respectively for main, both to die for! Wine and cocktail selection also very good.
Thanks J&S and can’t wait to return soon!

Great vibes for younger clientele brunches. Always busy so don't expect to linger beyond 90 mins and go mob-handed if you want a good table. Crowd pleasing menu but, chefs, season that buttermilk chicken! Try the chain Patty and Bun's for a taster or at least salt, pepper, paprika!
N. M.
Amazing roast, great service, the dessert was spectacular. Honestly, it's hard to find a decent roast these days, for the prices you pay but this was the best I've had out in years.
S. S.
Favourite London bottomless brunch! Relaxed atmosphere, food was tasty, and also bottomless…! Didn’t feel rushed at all like I have at other brunches, overall great service & very generous with the drinks too!
S. R.
Fabulous bottomless brunch. Effortless, great food, friendly attentive service, relaxed and cool atmosphere. A must!!!
D. P.
The food was amazing! Probably the best bottomless brunch I have been too. Our server Julio was great, he was really attentive and made sure we got the best out of our visit. We both had bucks fizz and they left the prosecco and orange juice on the table which I have never seen before and really appreciated. Thanks so much for making our brunch so special!

I have been for both a roast dinner and breakfast (I'd recommend the roast over their breakfast). Unfortunately, the service is their biggest let down. Despite having a lot of wait staff, they forgot a lot of our order and didn't check back in so we couldn't remedy it or order new drinks. Completely understandable that the restaurant is busy, but their priority is to get everyone in and out exactly to their two hour slot despite (as far as we could see), other table availability. So just be mindful that the time limit is enforced and further drinks orders are not taken close to your two hour limit.

Nice place in Dalston. Quite a large restaurant with a cool vibe. The food was very tasty and drinks as well. However, it was the worst service I've had in a very long time in London. The waiter seemed to be really unhappy to take our orders and when asked to explain a dish merely said 'i don't know'. Really killed the vibe of a nice Saturday brunch with friends.
J.
Lovely food, very attentive staff. We came here for a birthday celebration and had a great experience.
Some things to be mindful of: the acoustics in the room for groups isn't great and the noise level means that you'll have to shout to be heard by your table.
Timekeeping is also important, we had an open bottle of prosecco removed once we hit our time limit. These were the only negatives, otherwise a really enjoyable experience
J. A.
We ordered a Sunday roast for Easter and were so impressed with the quality of both the meat and vegan options! It’s our first roast dinner delivery during the pandemic and we couldn’t have been happier. We’ll definitely be coming for an in-person visit when the world opens up again.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Though very busy the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were both friendly and professional. The food was marvellous - the miso Ice cream was a revelation! - and service efficient but not pushy. Would definitely recommend
K. M.
Had a bottomless brunch here for a friend's birthday. Food choices were good and you can either choose an alcoholic brunch or a non alcoholic version. However one male waiter gave us some very rude service and insulted one of our party's intelligence as well as a colleague who had previously served us.
It was a shame as the food was wonderful after that interlude, the service was quick and efficient and we were kept topped up for drinks.
S. J.
Went for Sunday roast and the food was fantastic. The wait was a little long but if you're ok with that then it's worth it. Front desk was super welcoming but the service after that was a little cold and took quite a bit of prompting to bring everything we ordered. Might have been because it was busy but could improve.

Must get over to eat in your restaurant - on the basis of Mr Jones' interview on Sky News today. Absolutely brilliant - you told it like it is, we need to pressure the media to hold the lying fat boy to account. Oh and the menu and the restaurant look fantastic.
J. H.
Weak crab starter but lovely seabass as a main. Maybe the sauce wasn't perfect but good flavours and well cooked artichokes. Service was spotless.
A.
Delicious food and cocktails. Service was attentive and friendly. Incredible monkfish and the mac and cheese to share was great.
F. D.
Whilst there were huge problems with bookings (had not updated sites), once rebooked and visited Jones & Sons was fantastic. Amazing food and one of the only places I'm aware is all you can eat, not just all you can drink. Elevated brunching at good prices, the sweets and savouries complemented one another well, and you left feeling stuffed. The only downside was the wait times, two of the tables we were next to felt the same; whilst busy it shouldn't take over 40 mins to serve a dessert, we'd asked for the bill and forgotten about that particular course before it had been served.
A. Y.
Had ordered a Sunday roast during the lockdown and was lucky enough to have dinner on their re-opening night, and both were fantastic. The food is always great but the overall vibe and team really stand out. Was the perfect first restaurant meal after three months of home cooking and takeaway.
M. L.
The bottomless brunch was top notch. Service was slightly slow because they were so busy, however all of the staff were really friendly. The Canadian host saved the day when we hasn't seen a waiter for a while, he made sure our drinks were topped up and we had a great time.
You can have unlimited Prosecco or Bloody Mary however you do have to stick to one of these. You can eat as much as you want. We were told 5 dishes was the record so I made sure I had 5!
M. J.
Excellent Sunday lunch. The giant Yorkshire pudding was a bit dry but this was soon remedied as we asked for an extra gravy which arrived steaming hot.
Would definately recommend and will return.
P. G.
Not bad but didn't live up to the hype. Not even close to the best roast in London. They didn't have beef on a Sunday either
S. A.
We had a fantastic Sunday roast at Jones&Sons. The place is buzzing and lively. The service is very friendly and helpful. The food is simply divine, the beef and lamb were cooked to perfection. Well done guys!!! We'll be back soon!!
s. h.
Ordered vegan pancakes and eggs and avocado! Wee were in a hurry but our server took that into consideration and tried to get out order in as quickly as possible. Loved the service, the food was flavoursome and filling.

Delicious, a great bottomless brunch

Amazing place to go if you're looking for a place for brunch. Especially for bottomless drinks and unlimited food for 2hours.
Good value and taste of food. I went on a Saturday with a booking for 4 and managed to have 4 serving plates of food with 4 drinks lol.
Recommed booking in advance.
L. G.
Great experience with a surprisingly good food. Very nice and cozy ambiance hidden in Dalston.
British design with excellent finish.
Simply amazing!
A. J.
Went for the bottomless brunch, which was delicious and well worth the price. The only downside was one particularly overworked staff member, who was consistently short with our group while serving and was actively rude when we asked for clarification on the bill. Many other really friendly staff members though, and the food is so good it's worth visiting at least once!
M. G.
Amazing food, drinks were flowing. Definitely Recommend the Belgian waffles. Would thoroughly recommend to friends.
M. L.
Hideen away in dalston- it's a lovely restaurant with great atmosphere. It's huge inside - can imagine it being very good for a party. We went for a roast this time, but it was average - gravy was very strong, lamb was too rare. I think the food is better from a la carter rather then roast on Sunday!
But I would still go again
S. S.
I absolutely loved this place. Awesome roast (if you can eat them their Yorkshires are the size of your head). Great roast potatoes, perfect amount of beautifully cooked veg and also *the best mint sauce* I've ever had to go with the lamb.
Finished off with this amazing chocolate puff (I think that's what they called it) and I rolled myself out very happily.
All the service we got was delightful and really helpful to my mum and I's ridiculous dietary requirements, also special thanks to lovely Kaleb! Looking forward to going back soon!

Had dinner and Jones & Sons yesterday, had a great experience, the food was really tasty and looked beautiful aswell. The cocktails were all really good. The restaurant had a very good atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and hardworking and looked like they were enjoying it.
Would definately go here again
M. K.
Amazing vegan options at the bottomless brunch, really good value for money. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion.

Great place for brunch - eggs done in all ways (Benedict, Royal, scrambled etc) as well as some more American style dishes (pancakes) all with great flavor and presentation. Highly recommended to anyone who lives out east and wants some good food with friends.
T. P.
Really lovely vegetarian Sunday roast. I was looking for something more traditional, just with meat, and this was the only place still taking reservations on a Saturday night that didn’t have weird sides. Good service, too.
E. P.
Good Sunday roast here but the service wasn't quite efficient enough to justify the time limit they'd set for the table (at least for us, it was certainly efficient for another table seated at the same time as us who got their food and drink before our wine had arrived). I also subsequently noticed I was charged for a dish I'd ordered and they'd then told me was unavailable. Would be tempted to return but difficult to offer an unqualified recommendation given service and bill issues.

This place. AMAZING! I have arrived here for a boozy brunch with my friends and omg was it boozy.
Firstly the staff are very kind and generous, they attend your tables and you do not have to call them over.
The drinks get topped up, no need to request them for it.
Secondly, the food. The vegetarian food is sometimes hard to nail down as little thought is given in a lot of places but here it is not. The eggs Florentine were one of the best eggs I've had in a while!
Portion sizes are big, you only need about 2 bottomless brunch plates to get full.
Oh and did I mention, bottomless brunch for food too?
This place has it all!

What can I say, great bottomless brunch food and drinks. The vibes from the host Chyna makes this place. She is a legend ❤️
J. M.
Had a really nice family meal here. Waiter was a really friendly geordie, he gave us brilliant recommendations on food and drink, looked after us well all evening. Highly recommend.

Not quite up to the usual high standards on Valentine's Day. Generally good but main courses took a bit too long to arrive and were lukewarm.
L. S.
We had a great time recently at bottomless brunch. The food is lovely and very good quality considering it’s bottomless! The staff were friendly and attentive with refilling drinks. Would definitely recommend for a fun day out.

Fun to have a bottomless brunch, and the service was very attentive. Food and drinks came out quickly. Classic brunch meals executed well.

This place is seriously good. Food/service was spot on and the vibe/ambience was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning soon. All the best. S.Seagal x

Nice place for a Perfecto bottom less brunch..especially if you look out for a just pure English kind of brunch..just too amazing n best is their presentation of food n of course the colourful brunch is as yummy as it looks colourful n antising to eat..Overall awesome!

Ok food but will not come again. The staff were annoyed with me having questions about the ingredients and was not helpful at all. Ended up ordering something from the menu I didn’t really wanted because they were stressed about me not hurry up ordering (we were a big group) after refusing helping me in the first place. Very strange - I’ll go somewhere they like people ✌️

Exceptional service, the staff are so friendly and attentive. Absolutely amazing food! One of the best spots in London. Must try. Fandabidosi. Staff were best of the best. That meat tho 😋😋😋

Probably the best Brunch I've been to. Great quality of food and options . I don't line prosecco , so was great there was 4/5 other options!

Went here with a group of friends for a Sunday roast. Great atmosphere, good food and wine. Really friendly staff too, highly recommended.

I had my wedding reception at Jones & Sons last year and it was absolutely perfect execution on every level.
We also had our Christmas dinner from them this year after covid measures meant we couldn’t see family. It saved our Christmas as we had nothing in. The portions were big (perfectly big) and everything was delicious - so convenient, we just whacked the pre-prepared tray in the oven and it all came out marvellously. The cocktail, starter and desert that came with it were all excellent. It was actually (surprisingly) very, very good value for money at £160 for 3 people.
Thank you Jones & Sons - your amazing venue and incredible menu is a major perk to living in Dalston.
E. M.
Fantastic brunch. Definitely worth the money. They are not stingy with the alcohol either. Great for any occasion. Food is also lovely. Always my go to place for brunch.
S. Z.
Great place for bottomless brunch. Plenty of food options to choose from and all unlimited so can try a few. They left two bottles of prosecco on our table and were really good with replacing them when finished. Perfect for groups.
J. A.
Came for brunch and the food, atmosphere and service exceeded my expectations! It’s a lovely restaurant with reclaimed and eclectic furniture. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the bottomless brunch was exactly what we were looking for. I managed 3 meals and one of my friends had 4 (she had the mushroom dish twice because it was just so darn good!) I wish I’d taken photos for you to see but sadly I was too busy enjoying myself! Definitely give this place a visit!
P. W.
Went here with my sister and we have a few dietary requirements but Ben our server was brilliant and helped us out with everything we needed. Would 100% go back there just because of his service.
Thanks so much Ben

Really great. Cool setting/great internal decor and large outside area. Prix fixe menu two courses for £23. One of us had all vegan (beetroot salad & roasted cauliflower), the other had all meat (steak tartare & duck cassoulet). Both looked/tasted great and good portion sizes. House red wine decent; a bit pricey but not terrible (£22). Service was absolutely brilliant: attentive but not fussy, with a smile and personality. All round would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

I celebrated my bridal shower this past Saturday at Jones & Sons, I booked the bottomless brunch from 4 to 6 for 14 people. I had late comers and we were over time but the staff were nothing but gracious, kind and helpful. Since we are South Londoners my friends kept asking how I found this place - they were amazed by the great atmosphere and wonderful food. To find a place that does bottomless brunch with food not just drinks especially for us who are mostly teetotal - I couldn't have found a more perfect venue. Just thank you to all the staff for the wonderful service and care I can't wait to go back!
L. R.
Ok food but will not come again. The staff were annoyed with me having questions about the ingredients and was not helpful at all. Ended up ordering something from the menu I didn’t really wanted because they were stressed about me not …
l. h.
The meal started off well, the waiters were nice, the cocktails were good and the starters were good too especially the steak tartare. The main course was very disappointing, to pay that much for what would be essentially a small plate anywhere else. The piece of lamb was the size of my thumb. The macaroni cheese side was cold and pretty tasteless. We have previously been for a roast that was great but this felt like a very different restaurant. None of the food we ate looked anything like the photos on google or trip advisor, what has changed?
Yes, we came last night.
M. B.
Delivery was absolutely outstanding. It is clear that the people running this place have decided they want to put as much love and care as possible into the delivery service they offer during lockdown. The food was very well presented and totally delicious. Thank you for a great meal!
M. M.
Ate at Jones and Sons last night and had the 3 courses for £26 menu - it was the absolute best food I have eaten this year! Considering the beautiful presentation and wonderful taste it was incredible value. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is terrific, it is so beautiful inside and it was an absolute pleasure to be back.
J. G.
Came here for a bottomless brunch at the weekend, really chilled vibe and great service. The staff were incredible and so accommodating. I have a severe nut allergy so I'm used to (and expect) establishments to brush me off as an inconvenience, but these guys went over and above to accommodate me. Which I have never experienced before! They even took some money off my bill as I was unable to have certain items - what babes! They were all a real laugh and really quick with service, most of the time I didn't even have to ask for a refill they just done it!
R. M.
Exceptional service, the staff are so friendly and attentive. Absolutely amazing food! One of the best spots in London. Must try. Fandabidosi. Staff were best of the best. That meat tho 😋😋😋

One of the best bottomless brunch options in London. Unlike most other places the food is bottomless as well as the drinks.
Lovely location for sitting outdoors in summer. We had a great time.
J. M.
Food was amazing, the space is very cool. Have been and enjoyed it here many times. However, the management team and customer service are exceptional. I had a remark that I passed onto the owner via instagram, he came straight back to me and was extremely apologetic and kind. Would 100% recommend.
M. C.
A really great restaurant. Never been disappointed. Been for the bottomless brunch twice (unlimited food AND drink people!) and dinner a few times, including the night before our wedding. The food is always EXCELLENT and the staff are incredibly friendly.
M. D.
I booked a large table for my birthday on a Saturday, for bottomless brunch, and had a fantastic time. The service was slow to start up but they were absolutely rammed with people so it was understandable, and once they got going it was seamless. We ate and drank our weight in food and bucks fizz! Food was delicious, especially the BBQ beans. Would recommend to anyone celebrating a special day.
M.
First visit, recommended by a friend and well worth the visit. Casual dining unhurried with enjoyable food. The building is a disused warehouse and I personally like this type of place. The food is averagely priced with attentive service which makes for a great evening out.
R. P.
Came here for the roast as I’d heard good things about it. The restaurant was busy but the maitre d found me a seat at the bar which was fine. I ordered the pork belly. After nearly an hour of book reading it arrived with apologies. The plate was a beast of a meal with attention made to the fresh vegetables, crispy roast potatoes and that giant canopy of a Yorkshire Pudding. But the true test was the crackling. It cracked. Apologies accepted. Amazing food. But you’ll need to wait for it on a Sunday afternoon. Minus a star for that.
D. W.
Great dining experience from start to finish. Walking through the door, the place smelt amazing (first sign that the food was going to be really good). Wasn't disappointed - the seasonal dishes were tasty and well executed. Good wine list (enjoyed the organic Rhone). Friendly, attentive staff. We had the set menu which was terrific value for money. Definitely returning
M. A.
Loved the place ! We had Sunday roast and drinks there and we really enjoyed the experience. One of their staff members was hilarious :-))

Amazing bottomless brunch, generous top ups, great service and really tasty bottomless food. Will 100% go back!

TL;DR: If you haven't been here for Sunday lunch, I'd strongly recommend it.
Great roast, and decent value. The best roast I have had for the price in London (I had the beef), and I consider myself a bit of an expert on the subject. Potatoes were nice and crispy, the Yorkshire was great, the carrots were nice, as was the onion. The greens were fine too (I'm never particularly enthusiastic about greens, but wouldn't want them to be missing). I liked the restaurant, and the service was fine too.
Now, for where they could improve: The gravy was a little on the salty side for me. The cheese board only came with a few crackers (though they were happy to provide more), and the chocolate tart didn't come with a fork (just a spoon). The bill could have arrived quicker too, though they were busy and service was fine. I'd have loved it if they gave you a little jug of gravy without having to ask for more (there was quite a bit already, plenty for the person I was dining with, who has asked for more in other places we have been). These are all relatively minor (even the gravy saltiness isn't too bad - it wasn't very salty, just a bit more than normal/ideal I think).
I personally like the beef a little thicker and a little rarer, but it was rare enough for almost everyone I think and probably as think as most people like it. In other words, I think it is ideal for most people, but perhaps not perfect (though better than most) for people who like a nice think rare slab, like me.
The restaurant, menu and the roast were reminiscent of the Hawksmoor to me, and while a touch less good IMHO, much better value. The people running it could give this highly successful restaurant a serious run for its money if they were aiming for the same thing.
As I said, if you haven't been here for Sunday lunch, I'd strongly recommend it.

We booked a Christmas party here for 90 people last week and had a great experience. The team handled all the various dietary requirements dutifully and without complaint. Tara, the manager was absolutely wonderful in the run up, willing to do whatever worked for us. Epic set menu with gorgoues steak and truffle dauphinoise. Food was highly rated by all guests and service. Would definitely book again! Thanks Team! x

Reliable, good food. Standard doesn’t drop.
Ambiance is great. Space is vast so can always get a last minute reservation.

Fantastic food and ambience. Our server was outstanding. The only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars is the manager at the Fine was so eager to get us off the table it made our party feel uncomfortable. The server however was amazing and the food was so delicious. The açai bowl was divine. Will visit but stay a little weary of the manager..

I've visited Jones and Sons twice. The first time was last summer, and honestly the experience was mediocre. It wasn't bad, it was just super busy and the staff were not as attentive to our needs as we would have liked (had to wait a long time for topups). However, my most recent visit was exceptional. The food was divine. Staff were super friendly and attentive, and kept our glasses full. I'll definitely be back again very soon!!!

This is probably the only time in my 4+ years in London that I have got solid value for money 😂 The bottomless brunch here was absolutely amazing. Me and two other girl friends came on May 11th for the £39 all you can eat/drink brunch. I am gluten free and was so delighted of all the options on the menu - I say all the options because this bottomless brunch method is bottomless for both food and drink of choice. They come around and top up your drinks so often, you will definitely get your money’s worth. The staff are also so competent, responsive and happy it’s such a huge change to London hospitality. It was so impressive I’m taking my other girl friends here on June 8th.
K.
Lived next door to this place at their original location and always wanted to try but the price tag looked a bit steep and the venue at the old spot felt a little sterile. When I saw they moved to Gillette Square, I peeked in one day to see it felt way more welcoming than the old spot so decided to book a table when some friends were in town and I'm glad I did. The food was fantastic - not only was it super well presented but actually tasted great (a tough achievement in Dalston). The service was good, although a little scatty but everyone was friendly and helpful. Still feels a bit on the pricey side so probably more a special occasion place but I would definitely go back.
E. M.
Wicked all you can eat brunch for around £30 (or £40 with alcohol), good for birthdays and one offs. If you go with a massive group everyone gotta finish their plate before your allowed to order again which was abit of a pain. I would recommend though
D. F.
Best brunch place ever! Such a variety of food, reasonably priced and a lovely set up
J. T.
We did our wedding with Jones & Sons and it was great! Not that I can offer much for comparison as this is only my first wedding - but it surely doesn't get better than this - and I'll be back again if I need to have another one.
Firstly talking about the service -it was great from front to back. Tara was awesome in talking us through our options. A seasoned pro she bought up all the bits that we hadn't thought of and laid out the options in a pragmatic and simple way. Was very responsive in the build up and prep - and allowed us to put our own spin on it where we wanted. The tasting menu was great and it was difficult to slim it down to the options we had in the end ... but thats what you get - a wedding with awesome food options for your guests. Not many can say that. On the day the service was spot on, friendly and attentive. That was something that a lot of the guests made a point of messaging me about after - how nice the staff there was ... nothing was said about the ceremony earlier (not at Jones & Sons)...just that they loved the evening, staff, food, entertainment etc.
Also worth talking about price. They were by far the best value that we found. Always worth doing your comparisons but I will bet my bottom dollar you will go back to Jones & Sons. And what they tell you about up front in that first meeting is genuinely what you pay. No hidden costs and no sharking around trying to find additional stuff to charge you. Its just honesty - its as if they want you to enjoy the day as much you want to.
Anyway - review over. Thanks Jones & Sons for making my wedding such an enjoyable day.
R. A.
Booked a table for bottomless brunch, the only time they could offer was 15:15. We expected to have 2 hours of food and drink, however this was cut short at 16:45 as the ‘kitchen was closing’. This slightly ruined our time spent here as we were missing out on 25% of our booking.
Apart from that the service was good and the drinks and food arrived quickly. Expect to pay around £42 for the alcoholic bottomless brunch.

What a wonderful Sunday lunch at Jones & Sons. The afternoon was started off by a round of expertly made Bloody Mary's, and things only got better from there. Our waitress Katie was friendly and funny and made some great recommendations from the menu. The food arrived promptly and the roast portions were monsterous. The quality of food was all of a high standard, particularly the lobster mac and cheese 🧀 which was packed full of lobster.
We were sat outside in a party of 10, the wine was flowing and we will definitely be returning soon.

Came here for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. As one might expect the place was busy and vibesy with good looking slightly below par staff and really great food. We ordered beef and pork roasts, monkfish tails with bernaise, lobster mac and cheese and cauliflower cheese. All of the food was really really fabulous and can’t be faulted. Enormous billowy Yorkshire’s, beef that melted in the mouth, lashings of soft fatty pork, a thick creamy tarragon enhanced bernaise. Couldn’t fault the food. The service was ever so slightly below par in that we ordered drinks that never showed up, this wasn’t a problem we weren’t charged for them just asked the next passing staff member. They did try to charge for an extra bread that we had ordered but had never arrived thinking about it but that was quickly rectified. Two of our party had ordered Bloody Mary’s which were wildly inconsistent one large and beautifully presented and well seasoned and one, not so. When my partner ordered one he asked quite specifically if he could have one like the good one, obviously and the waitress indicated that would be fine before bringing over, you guessed it, a sub standard Bloody Mary. The place was packed and so I’m happy to concede ever such a slight drop in service, you simply can’t do your job well when you’re worrying about that volume of customers I feel, however we then had to wait as some coffees were forgotten off the order and then were informed that our table would be needed back in ten minutes which was a little silly as we had asked the self same woman for the bill ten minutes ago and were still waiting for it.
The ambience and decor in the place is nice, and the food was top notch, I simply wouldn’t return at such a busy time or with such a large group to get the full experience. Wish I had taken pics of the food for you but was far too busy diving in face first.
H. S.
Staff were amazing. Food took quite a while to come out. Vegetarian and vegan options didn’t taste so great. The veggie roast was full of cheese, was a bit sickening and vegan roast was just cauliflower- so you ended up with a plate full of veggies. Would have been nice to have a nut roast or something more substantial

Fantastic food and friendly service
We were 4 adults with a 3 year old child and it was lovely that we didn't feel uncomfortable or like we were putting them out- which can be the case when dining with a little un.
We had a new to dinner service waitress and a really funny and friendly waiter- the food was amazing, I'm quite fussy and I was genuinely surprised at how good the food was. The scallops, buratta and sharing steak were great and all the pudding were to die for.
Highly recommend Jones & Son Dalston
M. P.
Food is good but we had to wait 25min for our cold starters and our drinks sat on the bar for ages while the barman was not doing anything. They refused me a discount I get as member of an organisation - last time I got it so don't know what happened there but didn't feel like arguing with the not very friendly manager. It was fairly busy outside but completely empty inside when we got there. It's a shame cause we loved it the first time we went and the food is very good, but it was just too slow and generally unpleasant this time
S. D.
Warm and attentive service, inventive cocktails. Portion sizes could be improved though - crab starter and sea trout main were both light on the said protein. Good value on weekday evenings and overall the restaurant is a welcome fixture in a large space that’s historically had quite some turnover.
P. W.
On arrival our group was warmly welcomed and service was impeccable. There cannot be enough words to praise the quality of food either, except to say that you leave the restaurant feeling that it's the only place worth going to especially when celebrating an event.
Jones & Sons is indeed an unforgettable experience. Thank you.
D. L.
Went for my partner's 30th here. Good food, plenty of booze during the bottomless part and they were very efficient at topping up the glasses.
The front of house man was very pedantic, not allowing us to sit down at our table until bang on the reservation time (it was raining outside, and 2:57pm - our table was booked for 3pm, and we had a group of people waiting outside)
However, once we were in, all the other staff were very attentive and friendly, helping bring out a birthday cake and generally being good fun.
Would recommend for the bottomless brunch, good to be able to choose different things from the menu and you're never far from a drink either!
I believe that my partner had some issues prior to the event with the booking, going back & forth over tables and finalising details too.
H. K.
Great lively venue for bottomless brunch. Good value and food and drink are included in the offer.
A. M.
Excellent dinner, extremely friends staff and a happy hour on cocktails all made the evening into a wonderful experience. The set menu is well priced and contains a wide selection of options. I'll definitely be back.
D. A.
The brunch deal was great but the glass for normal ice tea is quite small so refills kept having to come every 15 mins which was a little annoying. Aside from that the food is delicious and the waiters/ waitresses make sure the prosecco is always topped up so it's great value for money!
A. C.
Great food in a gorgeous location, slightly overpriced but overall a nice experience!
m. s.
Just wanted to say what a great interview you gave on Sky tv this morning and the disruption, stress and financial hardship being caused.
H. A.
Excellent Sunday Roast, I finished up every last bit. Bonus points for not being stingy with the gravy
L. S.
Bottomless brunch is very loud and a bit rowdy ..be prepared not to be able to hear each other!. That said the food is good and the staff do their best to keep you topped up with drinks. It's a difficult place to be a waiter I think.
A. P.
The Easter Sunday roast we had was exceptional - cannot fault it. Just missed the brunch crew so the atmosphere and service was calmer - the staff were friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. Definitely bringing people here next time.
D. A.
The vegan brunch options were delish!
a. t.
Went for bottomless brunch and the food was good. Love the eggs royal and the Belgium waffles with toffee (so good) lots of different dishes on the menu for you to choose from.
The only problem I saw was the dishes started off with a good serving size and towards the end the servings got smaller and less attentive. Examples were Belgium waffles I got had 6 or so banana chips, friends on had 2 small ones another example was the truffle mushroom toast started off with a muchroom coving the entire sourdough and afterward only covered half. Also comments like 'you are still hungry' didn't help.
I don't know if they were running out of food but it felt like they were subtly telling us that we are eating too much. I don't know if this was the case but there were too many signs to be coincidence.
I guess don't advertise bottomless if you are worried people will eat.
T. K.
Had our anniversary in the private dining area. Was great. Friendly and relaxed staff. Lovely space. And I'm told the food was good (I was too busy Chatting with guests and listening to toasts).
S. I.
This is a great local "grown-ups" restaurant - a rare treat in USA junk-food orientated hipster-ville. Sunday roasts are divine with good quality meat, whole roast chickens available to share and home comforts like cauliflower cheese. The wine list is decent and cocktails are good.
G. C.
Great for a bottomless brunch or a Sunday roast! Vegan option for the roast was impressive. Super friendly helpful waiters too
A. H.
Good service. Amazing selection of food. The bottomless brunch is amazing!! Only con is, your reliant on the speed of service. If you eat like a king, you better order your next plate of food before you finish your current plate to prevent having to wait a bit for food.
C. W.
Holy crepe, what an eggcellent Brunch!
I discovered the concept of bottomless brunch recently. Being a intensely greedy person, it made me excited and nervous in equal measures. I wanted to make the experience perfect. I set to the creation of an unbiased scorecard of London bottomless brunch venues against the following criteria;
1) variety and quality of food
2) variety and quality of drinks
3) price/ value for money
4) venue
5) sense of customer service experience from reviews and during initial e-mail/ telephone conversations.
Jones & Sons came out with the top score out of 20 different London-based venues. I am delighted to say that the experience was even better than I expected and I URGE YOU to visit.
There were 14 people in our group. I booked via e-mail. Some other venues I spoke to asked for credit card details (one place charges twenty pounds per head for anyone who does not show up!) and requested that a form was completed. Jones & Sons simply take your booking and you turn up. Perfect booking experience.
The venue is bright and airy with a lovely, relaxed vibe. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs making your food - always a reassuring sign.
The staff are friendly and the standard of service is excellent, particularly considering how much food and alcohol they need to serve. Our waiter was Irish (a good sign at a boozy brunch) and he did a great job of making everything run smoothly.
I chose bottomless prosecco and was surprised that it tasted great. They serve little pots of orange juice on the table so, even though the menu states that you have to stick to one drink throughout, you can mix it up between prosecco and Bucks Fizz.
I went in hard with a cooked breakfast, followed by Eggs Royale, pancakes, granola and french toast. The quality of the food is excellent; fresh, good portions sizes, well presented and delicious. The menu states that everyone on the table must finish before the next course is served but they were pretty flexible, serving fast eaters while slow eaters finished their food.
Honestly, one of the best experiences I've had in London. I love you Jones&Sons! We will be back soon!
E. D. R.
Had a romantic dinner with my boyfriend and loved it! The food was delicious and the vibe was trendy. And the prices were quite reasonable for such large portions! Definitely recommend
C. N.
Our favourite restaurant in London! The most amazing food (try the Lobster Mac’n’Cheese!) beaten only by the amazing service. Big thank you to Brendan who always go above and beyond. Jones & Sons is a true gem of a place that deserves all the success in the world.
C. M.
Amazing starters and roast. Staff are wonderful and attentive and so refreshing!! Highly recommend especially after several disappointing roasts in London recently! 5 stars all round
L.
Was actually a bit disappointing. The food was average but really tiny so definitely order multiple course. Staff were friendly and attentive but the manager on the day was rude. Divided our bill by four and automatically added a service charge. I should choose if I pay a service charge not him.
M. M.
Bottomless Brunch couldn't have been better. Staff were very attentive, our glasses were rarely empty of Prosecco (the way we like it ;) ) ! The food was delish and we'll definitely be returning.
O. A.
Staff awesone under busy circumstances. Steak burnt and not seasoned. Lobster served as crayfish which was unexpected. BUT having made manger aware of issues our food was removed from the bill. Top marks. We’ll
Come again and review again. End of the day atmospheric and enjoyable.
J. H.
We went for bottomless brunch and it was delicious. Our waitress was so helpful and attentive, making sure we were kept topped up with drink and food. Recommend the French toast and waffles!
S. N.
Hip, noisy place for brunch on a Sunday. I have been here three times and they have not got it quite right yet. On each visit a variation of the wrong order was delivered. The modern layout is great, music is loud, and I suspect when they get it right it is a perfect hang-over/hair of the dog/large group eaterie. Not cheap.
D. A.
Top cocktails and dinner. Really friendly staff and a great setting.
A. T.
Went for bottomless brunch. Food was delicious. Service was awful. They were clearly very understaffed which meant our server was constantly flustered about any requests we gave her. Not her fault, we were a big group with lots of different orders but she shouldn't have been looking after so many tables. Obvious management problem.
k. S.
First time I visited Jones and sons was the Angel site and I remeber the service was amazing. Second time we visited the Dalston site where the service was a little more chaotic until the amazing Sammy took over our table! What an awesome human being, s you totally changed our whole experience! You made our visit, and when we come back it will be for your customer service 😊
B. H.
The king of bottomless brunches. Unlimited booze (prosecco for me), unlimited food (within a two hour time limit). Fortunately, I am able to eat and drink very fast. All the food is brilliant, too, but the Belgian waffle is amazing.
R. R.
Good value great quality food and generous hearty portion sizes . The Torched Mackerel and Trout Ceviche was divine, so too was the Iberico Pork Shoulder. Nice vibe for a relaxed social occasion with a group of friends.
F. T.
Great choice of food, we all had roast beef and it was delicious. Staff were lovely and provided a good service. Will defo be back again very soon.
V. B.
We got a Sunday Dinner delivery from here a few weeks ago whilst in lock down - and wow! It made our week. Food was delicious and delivery staff very friendly. Thank you!
S. G.
Had an unforgettable chargrilled lunch. Ingredients are top quality and service is casual, maybe slightly too informal.
Seems to pride itself for being 'affordable fine dining' which I very much agree with.
Visit soon, your tastebuds and belly will be pleased.
S. D.
Top-quality neighbourhood restaurant in this ex-theatre, with simply one of the best puddings I've had in years; a sliver of salted caramel tart that married most gorgeous rich pastry to salty, thick caramel (no wonder it's a small piece). My main of avocado on toast (I went at brunch time) was equally thoughtful; grilled sourdough, lemony rocket, heavy slices of avocado - a simple dish done really well, and a good counterpart to my friend's delicious pork belly and apple sauce sandwich (nothing more to say about this other than ORDER IT). £42 for two courses and two drinks each, Bellinis for £5.50, unassuming and really nice staff, cool decor. Love it.
I. L.
Brunch is unbelievable. Lovely shabby chic interior combined with the chef’s magic touch will leave you thinking about it for the rest of the day.
The restaurant sits off Stoke Newington Road nearly opposite the popular Mangal Turkish restaurant, meaning you’re close to the hustle and bustle but sheltered from the mayhem.
s. i.
Go for weekday special 2/3 course set menu. Great service, menu, reasonable price for all 2/3 courses and great hidden restaurant! I went 3 times, with friends, with kids, with disabled, each time we were accommodated well and had great time.
N. B.
Bloody good brunch!
I had the eggs with avocado and bacon, delicious.
The bottomless brunch is a decent price too and a lot of selection, both options for alcoholic/coffee only.
F. B.
Amazing Sunday roast - one of the very best in London. Also great weekday food - 2 courses for £21. Great vibe, very friendly staff, pup friendly. Highly recommend
M. F.
Was such a yummy brunch!!! Amazing choice and just to say our waiter Cam was so fab, friendly and helpful. Will defo return xxxx
J. S.
Josie & Co were the most fabulous waitresses/waiters. Attentive, personable and most importantly added a little spice to our drinking games. Highly recommend Jones & Sons for their fantastic bottomless brunch.
S. J.
Finally went back for their roast after having a cracker there about a year ago. It lived up to the memory - cocktails and food all amazing! Get the pork belly. Genuinely sad I couldn't manage dessert.
A. K.
Absolutely loved this place! The bottomless brunch is awesome, great food, great vibes and efficient service. Will definitely be back!
G. O.
Great service .. The waitor was very helpful. The food was fantastic very tasty.
m. c.
The place is very nice and staff friendly. But the service is so slow! I've waited almost an hour to get a simple English breakfast...
So I'm not sure how much you can actually eat in the 2-hour slot of bottomless breakfast....
B. “.
I would love to write a horrible review so it doesn't get any busier than it already is but the service and food is such good quality I just can't! We've been there 3x's for Sunday lunch and despite being incredibly busy, the service has been so friendly, plus for £25 you get a whole roast chicken for 2, plus all the trimmings, great value and more than enough for two.
J. M.
Great bottomless brunch. Great food, cool venue and quick service. Our waitress Ivy, was super friendly and entertaining. We'll definitely be back
H.
Went for Brunch, was really good.
I. M.
Nice spacious restaurant tucked around the back of the normally frantic Dalston. Food wasn't the best I've ever eaten but it was a part of a group booking for approx. 20 people which can often lead to food being a little underpar.
N. W.
Absolutely excellent roast. Amazing sides. Amazing atmosphere. Delicious time!
S. S.
Really upbeat & nice. The food, the service by Alex, the fact that Tues to Thurs there's a £19 set menu with 2-4-1 cocktails! It's all good.
E. G.
Bottomless brunch food and drink 38 pounds
For 2 hours you can drink and eat as much as you want, but there are a lot of rules, you have to wait until everyone in the table finish, just one dish per order, maximum 2 hours in the table, and the food is quite average.....this is the perfect place to drink more than eat!
M. R.
Fantastic Sunday roast in a great atmosphere. Very generous serving size - even the sides are huge!
K.
Great staff, nice food
L. J.
Amazing food, Went here for bottomless brunch which is great value, didn't quite reach the 5 (maybe 6?) courses that are included in the brunch but it was hard to pick a favorite of the courses that were eaten
M.
I’ve been here twice and the service is excellent. The staff were extremely attentive especially when I was pregnant. I love this place and look forward to visiting again ♥️
B. M.
Excellent food, casual and relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and good service. They serve good vegetarian options, but it's a meat eaters paradise! Try the venison haunch or the rib eye.
A. M.
Nice big postindustrial space in Dalston, perfect restaurant for a sunday roast with a big group. Waiters may be forgetting about things you've ordered, but after all good experience!
V. T.
Fabulous food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch 👍🏻
J. L.
The buttomless brunch was absolutely amazing. Every dish was on point, the orders were quick so the 2 hour time limit is more than enough.
F. A.

D. C.

J. G.

M. B.
Really solid breakfast/brunch restaurant. We had the full English and avocado and poached eggs. Both delicious
L.
Great Sunday roast. The beef was so tender and the roasted veg was so sweet. Loved my meal!
L. W.
Always LOVE this place, everything is great, the food, service, wine, lighting, music and atmosphere - absolutely nothing to complain about! Plus I can take my pooch - which very few restaurants let.
N. V. D. K.
Nice atmosphere but we were rushed out. The food is good but not amazing and ours was a bit cold too.
S. M.
Loved it! Amazing roasts and great cocktails. What more could you want?!
E. S.
Amazing bottomless brunch - food was delish and good drink options! Great vibes

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a f--kin' big television. Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchased in a range of f--kin' fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the f--k you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sittin' on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing f--kin' junk food into your mouth. S. T.
An incredible breakfast- fantastic quality and loads of choice, bottomless feasting for the gluttonous- I’d thoroughly recommend it

Delish food but somewhat unapologetic about 50% of veggie menu being off by 7.30pm and slightly curt staff.

Hidden gem!
R. N.
Super good.
D. j.
The food was pretty expensive, good quality but nothing stunning or very inventive, the dish sizes were a little confusing, the cheese ravioli was SO (too) cheesy, the steak was nice, the monkfish too salty, three best thing was the side of lobster/crab Mac and cheese which for some reason was HUGE, you could just order that and be done. But they let us sit there all night and we had a nice time,. The wine list left a lot to be desired, but it wasn't too expensive.
D. O. B.
Best Sunday roast I've ever had in London. Recommend the pork belly.
