Came here for a dinner on a Thursday night with 3 others and had a really nice time. Lovely place, intimate but spacious, full of dark wood and brick and artwork. We ordered some starters to share, which were the Houmous, the Shakshuka, and the Halloumi & Sucuk Shish. All of these were very tasty, especially the Shakshuka. For mains, we had the Islim Kebab (okay), Iskender (good), Kleftiko (bland) and Chicken Casserole (good). And for dessert, we shared a Chocolate Brownie and a Rice Pudding (both good). Ambiance and service were excellent. Overall, I'd go back again, though probably to have mainly starters/ sharing platters, but I'd happily try more dishes from the menu, which is extensive. Drinks were also good, and they were happy to make mocktails for us too. Very convenient location too, right outside Limehouse station.

Kirvem should be the best Turkish restaurant in London, it has the ambience and delicious menu options. It’s also a lot easier to reach than it might first appear, being just two stops from Bank on the DLR. Prices are also reasonable considering the good portion sizes, with one notable exception which is so un-Turkish and disappointing… Unfortunately something as simple (and important) after a Turkish meal as Turkish tea is a whopping £2.35 per tiny glass. Now yes this is London, not Türkiye - where it would always be free, but even in the UK it will often be complimentary and part of good Turkish hospitality. It’s mind-blowing that for four people dining together, a post-meal glass of çay for each person will increase the bill by over a tenner once service is added! Also, if you are a fan of lahmacun, you will disappointed by the minimal amount of mince on top. You will find much more generosity in other London Turkish restaurants. I do recommend Kirvem, but culturally it’s a bit hit and miss.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience here! The staff were perfectly attentive and were really friendly, always smiling and made us laugh too. The food is incredible and they even gave us a small dish on the house to try which was a nice touch. Perfect place for a catch up with friends or a date night - I would definitely go back.

Food was exceptional! I went with my husband and 2 kids (10 and 2), we all enjoyed every dish, calamari we ordered second time, it was that good! We thoroughly enjoyed our quiz team meal here. I was a bit early so sat and had a lovely g&t and it is a very pleasant place to sit, loved the decor. The staff were very professional and friendly. All the starters looked and tasted great. Turkish sausage, haloumi ,falafel, tabouli, kebabs and salads were very good. Main courses were all good , and sizeable. Various kebabs, med chicken, seafood and mixed grill all looked and tastedvery good. Quality produce was used. We were all too full to have dessert. Highly recommended, .

I’ve definitely had better Turkish food in more standard and cheaper places. Really nice ambience and very cosy. There was live music the evening I went (Wednesday).

Visited yesterday, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. The staff are amazing! Everyone is very welcoming, I cannot fault the service, it's up to a high standard, but at the same time so friendly. The food I have tried (lamb ribs- excuse the messy rice as I couldn't stop myself from trying) absolutely amazing, succulent, perfectly cooked, and in my opinion a big enough portion to satisfy any hunger. Highly recommended to visit next time you are in the area, it is a true gem there!

Went here as a Group of 10 as we were near by. It was a cozy restaurant and waitress was very attentive. It isn't the cheapest Turkish place I have been but the food is definitely one of the best I had. The mixed grill was soo delicious, every piece of meats on the plate was tender and juicy! My favourite restaurant! The ambience the staff are just amazing! Ali the owner provides himself on his service, professionalism, cleanliness and above the food and the quality! I'm going to have to leave these guys another five star review again very soon however in the meantime; amazing service - the two young women running the restaurant this Friday 10th September were just perfect. Perfectly attentive, perfectly welcoming and perfectly polite. We had delicious food, from starter to Turkish delight, which was unlike any we've tasted before. And we've both been to various parts of Turkey btw ;-) we are already planning our next visit.

Lovey. Came for a late lunch/early supper and were please by the cozy atmosphere and great service. They even agreed to serve their Turkish pizzas earlier than they normall would for us. The Yakut Turkish wine was excellent. The Lahmacun and vegetarian Turkish pizza were lovey as well. The fresh backlava surprised us with the side of ice cream. We ordered one Turkish tea and Turkish coffee to end it all off.

Nice restaurant with good character inside. I had lunch with a few colleagues. The quality was very Good, so was the service. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the portion was a little on the small side and the rice wasn't the authentic Turkish rice that I'm used to having in other Turkish restaurants. Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. This is just a great restaurant around the Limehouse area; regardless of if you are looking for oriental food or not. The staff will make you feel welcome and they usually try to serve you well. Prices are reasonable for London standards. A place you should try and a place you will probably go back again. Excellent menu with varied options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Starters took a bit of a while to come out considering there were only 2 tables in the restaurant, but once the food arrived it was worth the rate. Fairly priced too. I would recommend visiting for an affordable, tasty Turkish dining experience. I’ve come here a few times being a local, and the quality is good and has not changed since their opening a couple of years ago. The atmosphere’s good, friendly service and nice food.

We found this place by chance completely but truly truly delicious vegetable meze and delicious lamb dish on marinated bread chunks - so tender. The food is so flavorful which exceeded any expectations I had. I had this Turkish wine which was fantastic. My friend ordered the lamb dish and Insisted that I try it. I’m not a fan of lamb but I tried it with severe reservations. I had shocked at how delicious it tasted. I don’t know how they prepare it but I ended up helping my friend finish his plate as I could t get enough !! The decor it open and comfortable and could challenge many restaurants found in San Francisco and New York. If you are in London do yourself a favor and have dinner here. You will not be disappointed!

My big sister and I celebrated our birthday at Kirvem. We dined in the company of friends and family of about 30. From my own experience the customer service from querying about the event to the end of the actual event as been exceptional! Thumns up to lead staff member Sam. Sam's approach is professional, friendly and customer focused. My nephew who is only 10 told his mum (both him and mum are very fussy about food) "Mum I already checked in and gave Kirvem a 5, they were good. I enjoyed my meal." All who celebrated with me said the food and atmosphere was good, including decor. Except for a slight wait for meal (which to the end I understand was the process and effort put into ensuring food was thoroughly cooked and presented). All good***** Thank you! I am planning to eat there again.

I will admit we only ate here once and it might have been a year ago. Food was definitely good, but not amazing given what they were charging for it. Beer selection was poor. All of that would have been fine, if it weren’t for the fact that the service was simply shockingly slow. We were there for an hour longer than we would have thought ever possible. Very good food, one of the best Turkish experience in London. Had the Mixed Meze, Calamari and Seafood Pasta. Everything was rich in flavour. Staff were amazing with their on hand service. This is an informal Turkish/Mediterranean informal restaurant in eastend of London. One of its attractions for me personally is that it's an independent business; ie it's not - to the best of my knowledge - part of a bigger chain (something which sadly is becoming increasingly rare in London and other large UK cities). Service is fast and attentive, and always comes with plenty of smiles and cheerfulness at no extra cost! Prices is very reasonable too. Just two points that prevent me from giving them 5 stars: 1) variety of food on the menu. Yes, there are lots of Turkish dishes, but apart from a couple of pastas, steaks and one or two Greek dishes, there's not much else from the Med! There are at least 2 more Turkish restaurants (both part of big chains) within the walking distance, and you can get everything Turkish there! So a more creative menu please. 2) portions are probably as big as similar establishments, but they feel smaller because they're not preceded by the "traditional" bread/olives/etc as a free starter while you're waiting. All in all, however, I've eaten there 3 times in e last couple of months. So it must be good!

I love this place. Firstly their service is always so good, the owner and the staff are incredibly attentive and treat every customer like their guest. Great find - we’re local and for some reason have only just discovered it! Spoilt for choice with the menu but staff were happy to recommend options - mixed meze was a good starter, with a selection of flavoured dips, pastry and halloumi. had a midweek evening meal here. Starters were excellent - the Albanian liver was particularly good. Two out of the four of us had meat main courses, lamb chops and mixed grill. Both these were very good indeed. The other two had seafood. One sea bass on the grill (fillets) and one grilled king prawns. Both the seafood dishes were rather tasteless and given the fact it was seabass fillets, I would assume frozen. Made a comment to the staff on collecting our plates, this was noted with gratitude but no offer was made. Had dessert and one Turkish coffee which was a bit weak. Overall not bad, slightly spoiled by the seafood. I would go again, but would definitely stick to the land and not venture into the sea.

Food was good, however service was an absolute shambles.we were told we only had an hour, food came at 25 min in, had to wolf it down and felt like we were being watched the entire time. The place is instagram ready and the staff are at hand and ready if you need them. The starters were great and filling and the main meal was too. The wait for the food however was quite long .. we waitied about 20mins for the startes and after we were done eating which took about 10-15 mins, we waited another 20 mins for the main (But because we were with friends we didn’t actually notice the time at the beginning). But price was good for the food. Overall I would maybe go again for an occasion, and would recommend to others! 😊

Truly an oasis of good food and high standard service on a traffic'd road full of dodgy peri-peri's and kebab's. I went with a large group of friends and ordered few mezes to share and a main dish each, we turned out being super full and satisfied at the end! I visit from time to time and the super-polite staff welcomes groups, couples, small groups of business mates and families. Quality of ingredients: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 both meat and vegetables are freshly prepared and properly cooked. Mezes come with lovely soft pita slices with sesame seeds. Variety: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 After a long list of hot and cold mezes, the menu offers a nice list of lamb and chicken traditional mains and specials ("recommended by the chef") and a whole section of vegetarian dishes. All come with a slice of pita, a bowl of rice and a bowl of salad: you don't leave the restaurant hungry! Bravo! Environment: 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐ Nice looking restaurant with brick walls throughout and raw décor. I personally prefer restaurants where I can clearly see what I'm eating, and Kirvem is a bit too dark to me. Staff is always graceful, polite and professional. Quality/price ratio: 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐ Mains averagely from 10.95£ to 14.95, vegetarian mains averagely cheaper, mezes around 4£. Overall, it's a reasonably London-priced menu that offers generously sized dishes.
