Reviews of Le Pain Quotidien
E. W.
Came on a busy Saturday afternoon and we got a table inside straight away. The staff were welcoming and took our order quite quickly. We ordered a selection of small plates. It was 3 for £15 which was pretty good value. The smoked salmon was amazing and had plenty on the plate! The king crab was equally as delicious! Great location, friendly staff and efficient service!!
L. k.
Tasty food and coffee! Good ambiance for getting work done. Their wifi was down when I went, but I was able to connect to Covent Garden's without any problem.
M.
delicious, the staff was so good i’m not from london but in the 3 months i’ve visited twice and both times was amazing, there’s seating inside and out which was amazing for someone who likes to people watch, the staff was so friendly and the food was so good we all found something we liked and the homework lemonade was amazing. they was very busy but very quick and very accommodating as it started to rain, they have heaters so you can sit outside which i did both times the last being in december.

Food great, we had the pumkin soup would recommend.
Service is absolutely awful, being served took ages seemed like a chore, we weren't asked if we wanted drinks, just handed a menu, tea came with no saucers or spoons, honey came with no spoon, which lead to everything being sticky. We were handed the bill without asking for it.
At no point did anyone engage with us, we initiated every conversation.
Having said that everything we asked for came very fast. It's a lovely location.
R. C.
Great little restaurant / coffe shop, loads of tables upstairs, good service, and lovely food. Recommended.
L. R.
It’s nice being somewhere that I don’t get recognised, being part of the dance group homage 2 rhythm and a famous DJ does have its downside too! But this quaint coffee shop sells quite literally the best scrambled egg! However not too sure about latte being served in a glass! I’m too traditional I guess!

We visited today with our 2 young children. Krystian our waiter was absolutely fabulous. We recognise that the hospitality sector has been impacted by staff shortages, but our visit today was the best customer service we have had in years. He took the time to help us and made the whole experience enjoyable. The food was wonderful and sensibly priced for London.

I absolutely love Le Pain Quotidien and visit their Covent Garden branch pretty often.
Super helpful and friendly staff and a great menu. They have some very tasty Vegan options and amazing coffee.
I highly recommend.
PS. On my last visit I had a non alcoholic Mohito (No-Hito) and quite enjoyed it.
S. R.
We had an amazing time! Food was 10/10, service was 11/10. Our server, Krystian, was an absolute delight and made our time here even better. We will be back soon! Would 100% recommend a visit!

The bakeries are super good and highly recommended. I tried the Pain au chocolat and regular croissant and both were so good and so fluffy. The coffee is also good, the staff is a bit overwhelmed and they got us the wrong coffee but it's okay. Try the indoor seating area, it's pretty cool.
F. D.
Walking through rainy London we were looking for a tasty lunch. Krystian made sure we had a heated dry spot out on the terrace. His great service made our lunch experience wonderful with great food!
C. H.
First time in Le Pain Quotidien and I would like to start off a hats off to the staff. Very attentive, polite, friendly and engaging. Which can be rare for a venue in central London with a high turn around of tables. Food was great, the Croque monsieur was pretty big and could have done a lunch for 2of us. Will be back. Impressed.
K. B.
Krystian was the most thoughtful server we’ve experienced! My and my freind came for lunch at LpQ and stayed to work. Krystian noticed we were crowded with all of our things and because it wasnt busy offered to move us to a bigger table! So thoughtful and we were so touched he thought of that! He also broke down all of the amazing vegan options they have here !
The whole time we were here the service was incredible, so quick and everyone wasn’t just polite but lovely to chat to. We heard the people behind us laughing at Krystians jokes.
The young lady who served us initially was also a star! We just didn’t catch her name.
Food was incredible and the vegan options were insane! They now have about 6 vegan pastries!!! Would 10/10 recommend for atmosphere, service, and food!
Thanks so much guys! We will definitely be back soon !!

Lovely little cafe in the heart of convent garden. Lovely atmosphere with a great menu and the chicken Caesar salad is one of the best i've had in a while! Highly recommend
M. R.
Had a wonderful lunch with my parents visiting from Canada at Le Pain Quotidien. The presentation of the food was amazing !!! Very impressed. It tasted great. Healthy selection of many sandwiches, wife had the soup but did state it was a little bland. Overall a great experience and worth the visit :). I loved the smoked salmon avocado dish!
C. P.
Such a lovely lunch. Beautifully presented. Tasted amazing and Krystian was a superb host and made us feel really welcome. 🥰
m. z.
Came here for the first time with my best friends who are visiting London over the weekend. Came for a nice welcome brunch and Krystian welcomed us and made it a great experience with a nice atmosphere, incredibly good food and the best service! 🐝🐝🐝
A. A.
Fabulous place and delicious food. Even my fussy 8 year old rated it 10/10. Great service by the friendly and efficient Krystian! We will be back
A. B.
Very friendly, lovely food. Had scrambled eggs, bacon, bread and cheese with drinks, eggs were amazing! Can't see why this place has any negative reviews, everywhere was clean and tidy, food spot on!
C. T.
Had a great meal here..staff very friendly and efficient. Food was amazing.
K. T.
Since the restaurant was quite busy I waited long time to get served but the food was delicious and fresh.
H. b.
Our waiter was Krystian, he was very polite, welcoming and attentive - Food and drink was amazing and made our trip to London that extra bit better! Highly recommend!
J. C.
Lovely brunch. Well presented and tasted great!
A. B.
Excellent service from our waiter Krystian, gave us great recommendations as everything on the menu looked great! Would definitely come back
L. C.
Great service and very welcoming staff, in particular Krystian S, who took care of our party of 6 very efficiently and friendly, on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Worth going for lunch, brunch and breakfast, for quick snacks or longer meals.
D. K.
I totally enjoyed my brunch. Great service. Krystian S. at Le Pain Quotidien Covent Garden was brilliant, very kind and helpful. Well done!
V. V.
Superb lunch in the sunshine. Lovely wine, great food and thanks to Krystian for his brilliant hospitality. He made such a difference to our lunch!
N. W.
Krystian S was such a lovely server who made sure we were comfortable and happy. His sunny personality and smile truly made our day a lot brighter. Thank you!
D. P.
The customer service was not that great in my opinion. The interior very interesting, different.
There are also vegetarians options if I'm not mistaken. The prices were normal for the type of food they serve. Very different and more special. Also, being in such a beautiful location, gives it some extra points. Have been there twice and difinitely will be going back!
M. H.
Great place in the heart of Covent Garden to people watch and have something to eat at the same time. It's busy but worth waiting for a seat outdoors in warmer weather to feel part of the bustling atmosphere.
A good few vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Ideal place pre the Royal Opera House or other local attractions
M. A.
The location and outside seating is great but the service is bad and chaotic they need to be more organized. Food is average, if you order baked food like croissant then it’s very good. If you order something cooked like scrambled eggs it will be cold and will taste okay but I got stomach pain and nausea after eating scrambled eggs. So short story come for the location and order croissants.
T. E. G.
My visit to Le Pain Quotidien was good, but it's not the best meal I've had. A bit expensive for what you get, and the olives were not quite as firm as you'd like them. The lemonade was very fresh, a bit to sour for my taste, but again, very refreshing on a warm summer day. It was quite busy when I arrived, but staff were quick and professional. With my ordered drinks, I also recieved complimentary glass of water, which is a nice touch. Overall a nice experience, just expected a bit more.
j. d.
This place was great for breakfast. Nice and hot, scrambled eggs better than mum's.
Best coffee I have had over 3 days in London.
I will be back and do recomend it
C. N.
First time in London and first stop here at Le Pain Quotidien. Food and service was great. Krystian was super friendly and made the experience here even more better. Thanks a lot ❤️
A. A.
I came along for a quick lunch with my family. Nice portions, food tasted great. Service was fast and friendly. Our server was very helpful.
We will be back soon !
E. S.
Very good for the price. Amazing food. Polite staff
L. C.
Krystian was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Service was very quick and will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.
S. W.
Popped in for lunch on the off chance, staff very friendly and accommodating, French Onion soup, and Croque Messieur were very good. Worthwhile having lunch there.
T. K.
This is one of my favourite places in London. The food was fabulous and our weiter Krystian was just amazing. I am already looking forward to coming back!
N. T.
Krystian S was really helpful in explaining the cocktail drinks menu to us, really knowledgeable and great service - lovely place for a drink in covent garden - cheers!
C. A.
Wonderful food and amazing service from Krystian S, even though busy, he served us quickly and with a smile and made everyone feel welcome.
M. H.
Food was great. Liked the ambiance. Coffee cups are a bit difficult to hold when they're hot.
When you order vegan breakfast, you shouldn't get non vegan spreads, butter and cow milk though.
Service was also very good!
S. H.
I visited this Covent Garden street cafe for lunch. Delicious fresh food including a vegan baguette which I really enjoyed. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere - a great place to visit in between enjoying the shops in and around Covent Garden. Thanks for a nice lunch. Recommended!
H. H.
What a little gem we found in COVENT GARDEN London !
The server named JULITA was so kind and helpful with our order !we loved her recommendations with coffee and the croissants ❤️
Thank u!
D. L.
Nice place inside Covent Gardens. Very popular and on the day had to queue for a table. Choice of upper or lower floor. Food was very good with broad selection of organic, vegetarian and vegan selections.
N. K.
A really accommodating lovely place to have brunch or a coffee. The manger (Julita ) was so professional , kind and arranged a table despite our large number. Super service. Will come back again.
P. C.
Loved the casual relaxed environment. Food was good. Service was fast despite covent garden being extremely busy.
T. K.
Came from Cambridge to covent garden today recomend going to Le Pain Quotidien should be proud of Krystian S ......brilliant service, friendly and has been recognised for his excellent service and customer service skills by his manager and many of the customer.....He should be in charge of training staff regrading customer interactions for the company.
. I will be back again with mu wife next time I come to London.
L. T.
Arrived in London, first stop - wonderful breakfast & start to our trip!!!! Krystian was so great & welcomed us perfectly into the city 💛
R. M.
Always a delight to come here for coffee and almond croissant!
C. R.
Wonderful Breakfast and top service from Krystian S who went above and beyond to deliver a fantastic customer experience despite being exceptionally busy
X. P.
Such a good find in the centre of convent garden, the top floor had such lovely ambiance! Food, drinks and service was outstanding- thank you krystian!
E. H.
Lovely food! Lovely wine! And krystian S was fab! Made our Sunday lunch in the sun ☺️☀️
S. I. H.
my absolute favourite place for breakfast in London : classical music, real bread, rather nice staff (but don't show up before their opening times or you'll be treated like dirt).
Just went back... Always a treat....
Just went back: still wonderful (try the big table upstairs)
Just went back: probably because it's summer, bug the big room upstairs was closed and unpleasant beat music was playing instead of the classical music I enjoy. Still the strawberry forever toast was gorgeous. Plenty of vegan options. And sunshine on my back.
D. G.
Amazing service from our waiter Krystian S. Very friendly.
Food was amazing and tasty.
C. m.
Joseph was a lovely waiter and food was tasty. Was accused of jumping the queue so nearly lost our table, would recommend a better system for seating people.
B. V.
Went in late for coffee, staff were helpful. And let us finish our drinks even though they were closing
D. K.
Great service! Reasonable prices. From outside you would not see how big actually this place is. Highly recommended for taking a little break from sightseeing here
A. M.
Krystian was very attentive and great at helping to choose off the menu. Food lovely and great vegan choice. Highly recommend. Especially the service!!!
R. G.
Warm welcome, busy restaurant but efficient service in taking order and both drinks and food arriving. Food was delicious. Really impressed!
S. B.
Great service and food at the end of a busy day in London. Thank you Krystian in Covent Garden for making us so welcome
K. T.
Served by Krystian at Covent Garden. Absolute star! Fantastic Service. If you are ever thinking of visiting, I hope you are served by him.
G. O.
Service was not great, I went yesterday with a friend in the early evening and the waiter, threw the menu's on the table and did not show good customer service or interaction. Apart from this the food was nice. I did expect more from Le Pain Quotidien considering the last one I went to over two years ago in Brussels Rue Dansaert, was better by far.. Apologies but I have to only rate 3 stars
G. D.
We went to Le Pain Quotidien, Covent garden. The vibe was really good. Our attendant Oscar was very quick and attentive to our orders. Would definitely recommend people to try out this place
D. B.
Really helpful and hard working staff. Meal portions are quite big, very nice food. No faults
A. W.
Krystian was amazing, very quick service and friendly. Food and drinks were lovely, highly recommend !
C. C.
The food was awesome and the service was even better- we loved Krystian! Highly recommend
A. D.
Nice place, food was good except the salmon. It's crowded, service could pay more attention. Overall not the best choise to eat. Time we had food was 12.00.
D. L.
Like all the chain , they serve good quality, and fresh food. The location of this branch is nice , and divided to some rooms.
É.
Lovely place for drinks and pastries in Covent Gardens. Our server Krystian was wonderful
K. k.
Very nice atmosphere, Our waiter, Krystian, was very helpful. Great service. Yummy brownie
E. C.
From my perspective the best Le pain quoditien in London. Nice place, the usual nice and cosy atmosphere, value for money food, not so good service in the specific place but it’s the most crowded so it’s acceptable. Try breakfast options for sure. Not so good coffee as the most shops in London.
G. H.
Very pleasant, bustling cafe in the heart of Covent Garden. My wife and I enjoyed Tea/Coffee with Sweet & Savoury pastries.
J. D.
My service by Kristian was excellent and made us feel very comfortable, and the food was also excellent.
L. D.
Thank you to Krystian for exceptional service with a smile! The food and wine was divine!
I. L.
Great, friendly service. Great coffee too, I had a Latte.
J. H.
Nice setting in the market, really lovely soup and bread. Coffee was great too. Really great value and service was excellent.
R. T.

n. w.
Baked eggs and coffee.
Great location.
Heated seating.
E. L.
Great atmosphere, and decor at popular eatery in covent garden.food is different, beautifully served, hot and tasty.fab u lous.
H. M.
Disappointed - our fave hot chocolate is no longer a special treat (still the same price tho). Too crowded and hectic to be enjoyable when we visited.
L. D.
Very nice! Had baked eggs with avocado , nice presentation and perfect for a quick bite, lovely building too.
S. B.
Lovely drinks and many thanks to our waiter Krystian S!
R. H.
Our waiter Krystian was wonderful, friendly and very attentive :)
L. S.
Great food, service with a smile. Very attentive even during a busy lunch period.
A. N.
Amazing service, had a lovely time. Krystian our server was extremely helpful and welcoming.
J. D.
Food is nice but expensive. Service is terrible though for a place like this. Atmosphere is nice but not thanks to the staff. Waiter could not be bothered and clearly does not like his job, do this place and him a favour and let him go.
R. H.
Perfect place to enjoy Covent Garden. Thanks Krystian for going above and beyond to look after us 😊
f. c.
When I lived in London I went here regularly and standards have not changed after 2 years still great coffee and pastrys
R. C.
Lovely find on the morning of our departure. However dont go near the place with luggage. The stairs are tiny and it did feel a little cramped upstairs. The food though is great, the coffee as others have said.. questionable.
L. W.
Krystian was great even during the busy afternoon time. As always great drinks and pastries 🥮
P. A. C.
It's LPQ! Amazing every time.
F. W.
Good value. Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. Quick service.

J. S.
The food was quite nice although my toast almost cracked a couple of my teeth 😳. The staff are not the friendliest
E. F.
Delicious scrambled eggs, really friendly staff. Very good value.
A. G.
Great Atmosphere. Excellent taste of calming music. Ordered hot chocolate and got to experience mixing it myself! Kudos to the waitress for smoothly splitting the bill!
D. W.
Served by Krystian very helpful and chatty. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back soon.

A. S.
Amazing coffee and hot chocolate with lovely attentive staff!
(Soy caramel latte)
B. 8.
Excellent place to eat ,we came for breakfast and had scrambled eggs with salmon my partner had the muffin BLT with avocado the food was beautiful and the setting is relaxing ..just perfect 👍🏻
N. R.
Stopped for breakfast - Very expensive - but was nice food and obviously great location. £65 for breakfast for 4 is a bit much, but there weren't hidden costs and service charge was only 10%. The fruit juices are very over priced and small for what they are.
C. B.
Krystian was very nice and the place was just lovely. we’ll come back for sure.
R. D.
Pumpkin soup and matcha latte were fantastic, would reccomend soup of the day
i. t.
If you love to relax while having food then this place I can recommend all food made fresh so you are expected to wait but we'll worth it
M. T.
Lovely atmosphere and great service. Krystian was very welcoming and attentive
S. W.
We got a breakfast there on a Sunday, the location is pretty nice and the food is also good.
A. B.
From the vibrant flavours, to the amazing service. Christian delivered when it mattered most, highly recommend this place!!!!!!!!!!!!
J. F.
Good find in Covent Garden, went for lunch. Try and sit upstairs by a window for the best spot. All the drinks come in bowl like mugs and food was delicious.
B. S.
Very nice service from Krystian with plenty of seating.
D. T.
Thank you very much for the kind service you provided us Kristian!! Fully recommended
R. W.
First port of call when we are in London. Great coffee and a lovely lunch. Thanks. Cheers Bob
A. B.
Go to for breakfast/brunch in Covent Garden. Never disappoints
O. B.
Nice and cost as usual. The personal is very friendly but at times a bit unorganised :)
M. H.
We received great service from Krystian. Amazing place!
J. B.
Been here every time I'm in London for a day or longer, amazing breakfast
l. m.
Cosy place to have a chat with a friend and eat something. The carrot cake wasn't the best to much raisins and really sweet. Not for me. For the rest is ok.
a. r.
IT'S A nice place with lovely staff and the food is good, if you're after a good hearty eat it's probably not for you, more style over substance.
B. D.
Good food and good service. Recommended!
N. W.
Very nice meal here, the service was great, pleasent and not too much chit chat.
A. J.
Had the most amazing breakfast served by Christian, what a delight!
l. a.
Loved the food and the service .. very kind waiter Wahed!
Y. L.
It is a Belgium cafe. Nice place to have a tea time and relax.
L. R.
Not a bad place for lunch / brunch, can be quite busy due to amount of tourists. Massive issue with pigeons which use any opportunity to grab whatever customers left on the tables outside, hence why the staff needs to pay a bit more attention to cleaning the tables after customers right after their departure. Regardless - great avocado on toast with salmon and mushrooms, just like in every other branch.
S. S.
Flat white was lukewarm and the orange polenta cake was mediocre; dry, hard and not very appetising. Venue was clean and Covid rules were being observed at least.
L. C.
Excellent service, drinks very good too
P. G.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious bread and great variety.
A. A.
Had a lovely time. Great food and coffee.
H. W.
A very nice place with nice coffee and confectionary items with great ambiance. Heating is available even outside so you can enjoy it even in winters.
K. V.
I live in New Orleans which is a food mecca, so I am very critical when I travel. This place served us heaven on a plate in the form of a chicken and leek pie that was just plain unbelievable! OMG, my mouth waters just to think of it. It was packed with locals - a very good sign. The service was excellent although it was packed. It was very cold and they could not seat people outside. One caveat is that it is part of a chain. We discovered one near our hotel, ordered the chicken and leek pie and it was not nearly as good. With that in mind, the Covent Garden location served much the better meal. Price was very reasonable, too.
R. A.
A fantastic restaurant with a variety of delicious small dishes to choose from. I ordered the avocado toast and it was great! The waiters are also very nice.
k. w.
Krystian great waiter and advice about cocktails!!
D.
Food was lovely, tea became cold rather quick. Service was not that great, no ‘hi’ or ‘would you like to pay?’ When trying to ask for the bill, the answer was (10m away, that is) ‘bill?’. In the bill the optional service charge is included in your total amount. When paying with your card, you’re not asked if you wish to tip. Food was nice, but because of the service I would not revisit.
J. D.
We had travelled from Norwich to see 42nd Street. Having arrived around midday we decided to have a wander round the Covent Garden shops and stalls and have lunch when we saw somewhere we fancied. Around 12.30 we saw Le Pain and it appealed to us because we could eat outside and the menu looked OK. We chose a place to sit, not very busy at this point. A waitress soon approached us with menus. Then a charming young man took our order. I ordered a large latte and the chicken and leek pie with veg, my friend had the vegetable broth with curried chicken and a cider. Our drinks were served quite quickly and my coffee was very good. When our food arrived I wished there were more veg and my friend thought her soup would be thicker as it was a main course. The taste of the food more than made up for anything else,it was full of flavour. We were so happy with it that we ordered desserts, that also didn't disappoint. The waiters were very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere very relaxed, and it was a joy to sit outside in the November sunshine enjoying delicious food and people watching. I would definitely go there again.
T. A.
Very good place! Really enjoyed the waffle, one of the best I have ever eaten. One star goes away due to the high prices and the bad behaviour of one of the people working there... But other than that, really great place, amazing location, and the table with the view is great! Really wanted to have one of their shops in my city... Will definitely be back here for more.
G. J.
The service was lovely from Krystian, very happy with this place!
N. C.
The staff here are wonderful and the food is always 5stars!!
M. M.
We took breakfast there. That was good and the atmosphere and view was beautiful!
L. M.
Very nice place to sit and have some heathy food in the heart of Covent Garden.
N. S.
Great fresh food. Try a tartine!
Servers were quick and kind. Food and the masala chai was delicious.
T. A.
Small portions but tasty. Location great so gets 4 starts but otherwise nothing special.
J. L. R.
Visited during lunch hours. The main "living room" was pretty cool and I would definitely try to get a table there. The service was fast and efficient even if the place was packed. Had their version of a club sandwich. High quality ingredients - but the portion could be larger - and more complexity could be added.
N. S.
While the coffee at this place is nice, the cups are completely impractical! There's no handle on them so you drink coffee like you're sipping from a soup bowl! The food and drinks are quite over priced for what you get, but the food tastes great.
F. D.
Food ans service were both lovely, one of the best places to eat I have been to in london
m. s.
Great food, great service by Joseph K
E. G.
Good food good coffee and a great location
R. K.
Very nice for brunch but the portions where small the Prince was OK
A. G.
Its an average place to eat. I had avocado on toast and my friend smoked salmon salad rocket salad. As i said it was average! In terms Of service quality, ill say it could improve but not that bad as well!
C.
Delicious hot chocolate, nice food. They mixed up our order with the neighbors' but since we were crammed shoulder-to-shoulder we all realized right away. Great location. A bit tight tucked in to their space, but they are right in the center of things. Restroom is on the top floor.
C.
Very busy and full! Chicken pie was good , came with veg. I wouldn't say it is the cheapest place but a seat upstairs by the window overlooking the singers/players is worth it.
A.
Le Pain Quotidien is pretty much the same across the board, which is a great thing! The Covent Garden location makes it one of the most affordable locations to eat in what is unfortunately becoming a highly gentrified area. The team are always friendly and the service also quite prompt. If you want a table outside for more than four people, just ask and the team will be more than happy to assist.
C. B.
Great coffee. Lovely place to stop and listen to music while on a coffee stop
F. M. (.
The sandwich was very tasty and got a couple of pastries too 👍
B. P.
Really lovely staff and coffee but the food was disappointing. Avocado on toast- didn't taste fresh, toast was burned and half raw... not good value for money. But really nice staff!
m.
Atmosphere was amazing. Last time, when I came to Covent Garden, there was an opera singer performing, but was not there this time. They have good selection of sharing food. We took special charcuterie, which had lots of variety. Service is also quite nice.
J. M.
Really good - had the mushroom toast with a side of roast potatoes. Decent prices, the wait wasn't too long. It was a bit noisy and crowded, but the food was very good. Wouldn't hesitate to return!
A. D.
This is a relaxed but somehow also buzzing cafe within Covent Garden market. The decor is French farmhouse, and service may be slow but is always good. Food is quality and tasty as with all Le Pain Quotidien and there is a small but also quality wine selection. Recommended.
C. v. G.
Le Pain Quotidien is always a nice place. This one in Covent Garden looks small, but has rooms upstairs with lots of space.
We usually come here for breakfast, with "bakers breakfast" being my favorite. Boiled organic eggs taste great, too (really).
Staff was friendly. Free WiFi. In summer, you can sit outside.
T. F.
Smoked chicken hot tarting and berry tarts are to die for. L have them most times, but everything else is great too. Excellent baguette. Only downside is the price... not for everyday but I love this place!
G. W.
Early morning (10ish) visit to Covent Garden so we were looking for somewhere for breakfast. We decided on this place as both myself and my wife love our bread, so both opted for the petite dejourney. Luckily, as it was fairly early we were seated at a table for two (we are not fans of shared dining tables) and the food was good. By the time we left business was picking up and I would imagine that this place would be really busy come late morning / lunchtime.
R. S.
Good food, mostly disinterested staff.
Beautiful architecture.
t. r.
when I was in this location it was very crowded. we didn't sit at a table on the terrace
s.
The ultimate place for French cuisine. Start off your meal with a basket of freshly baked organic bread paired with absolutely yummy spreads- Brunette being my favourite! A wide selection of authentic French food is served here. It is the place to go be it for a light breakfast or a hearty dinner.
P. H.
Good value takeaway
M. C.
Coffee a little cold reaches the table
D. G.
Long wait to get served and for the bill to be brought to us.
C.
Very busy and full! Chicken pie was good , came with veg. I wouldn't say it is the cheapest place but a seat upstairs by the window overlooking the singers/players is worth it.
D.
Food was lovely, tea became cold rather quick. Service was not that great, no ‘hi’ or ‘would you like to pay?’ When trying to ask for the bill, the answer was (10m away, that is) ‘bill?’. In the bill the optional service charge is included …
J. L. R.
Visited during lunch hours. The main "living room" was pretty cool and I would definitely try to get a table there. The service was fast and efficient even if the place was packed. Had their version of a club sandwich. High quality ingredients - but the portion could be larger - and more complexity could be added.
T. J.
Coffee and food were pretty good, but service was shotty. Not sure why they have some tables upstairs set up right next to an open kitchen, but it was very loud and distracting so that took away from the "brunch in covent gardens" experience.
L. T.
Huge warmed scone, tiny daiquiri. Expensive.
H. S.
Friendly service, just a bit slow. Would not recommend the coffee at all, worse than McDonald's coffee!
Food is nice, but be prepared to wait for it; and pay. Milk jug was full of dust so had to send back.
G. T.
Excellent place! We really loved the service. Our waiter Ivan was polite, helpful and made our experience ve enjoyable. I recommend the detox lemonade!
A. B.
Nice place, some delay in service
A. A.
The place is very calming and nice. Friendly staff and good choice food and drinks from the menu, hot and cold. The long table situated upstairs in a room with brick walls is very beautiful.
A.
One of the best places I have seen around. Extremely friendly staff who know what they are serving, extremely tasty food & especially desserts. Must go again...
S.
Great staff, good food hearty portions, good wine great ambience.......
Our waitress think her name was Olive was good humoured and attentive, great evening
C. L.
Used to have really nice and warm scones but not so much any more. The restaurant food and service are just average now.
T. H.
Great place to sit and people watch, whilst drinking coffee from a bowl! Good location, and always busy, which is a good sign. Can be a little noisy at times, though.
M. P.
The food was nothing really special. We ordered the tartins but they were just open sandwiches. It's ok for a quick snack and a coffee.
K. H.
Swift service. Lovely to sit out even in January. The gluten free options were vast and tasty. You have to tolerate the pigeons. Recommended
G. S.
average
A. H.
Lovely food and atmosphere
C. W.
Excellent setting in the heart of Covent Garden.
The French take on a 'Full English Breakfast' was a welcome and tasty change.
My partner's vegetarian options were similarly good.
H. C. (.
The upstairs room is one of most beautiful coffee room I been to in London! I didn't know existed yesterday. They should advertise it more! :)
T. M.
Fine breakfast menu though the bread was on the dry side to my tastes. The Granola Yougurt and the coffee was excellent, though.
S. S.
Great breakfast great staff!
D. G.
Always a good experience. Service could be a tad better, it needs to be mentioned: Knowing one's menu better, being more professional, etc. But, food is good, decor is nice, well posioned, etc.
W. L.
It's always crowded here but we manage to get a corner table. Great scone and coffee! Service was okay. There is a communal table on the 1st floor.
C. H.
Breakfast was served quickly and I had a steamed 'nutella' milk and mushroom toast. It was very nice indeed and will know to come back next time I'm in the area.
M. Y.
Nice spot with patio in the square. Food is decent for a chain. Baked goods are quite delicious. Friendly staff and fast service.
R. A.
Amazing breakfast, Christian was extremely nice to us and provided us with exceptional service! Love to come here every time we are visiting London.
S. D.
Kristian provided good service.
C. U.
They have the perfect menu that is both healthy and filling, always a very relaxed environment. Great for brunch and catching up with friends😊
S. A.
Food was nice service was very slow
B. G.
Great chain, however it is difficult to find a seat outside in the afternoons at their Covent Garden branch. Give their blueberry muffin a try for something light and sweet with your afternoon tea.
S. S.
Worth visiting for its tea and homemade scones.
J. F.
Chilled vibe with great coffee! Will be back
P. P.
Krystian had great service
C. T.
Lovely cocktail and food, friendly helpful staff
H. S.
Simple food but delicious. It did take some time for them to finally come and give me seat but other than that their services was lovely
A. G. M.
Too expensive for the quality of the food. Is not bad place but also it isn't amazing food. The service is alright (can be better) and the speed serving is good.
l. v.
Lovely place and fantastic people working in Pain Quotidien Covent Garden. We were served by Kley, who approached us promptly, was friendly, professional and definitely made our experience unforgettable and wonderful:) Thank you Klei ! We will definitely come back and advise our friends to visit Pain Quotidien Covent Garden!
J. C.
Perfect place for a quick meal while visiting Covent Garden. It doesn't have a lot of options in the menu, but you can have some great salads or soups.
R. T.
Fresh baked bread and pastries, with a good choice of meals.
The quality of the food was superb, and the service was very good.
A. L.
Great place for lunch or afternoon coffee, meet up place or to do a bit of work. Tons of space over multiple floors, rare in Covent Garden. Free Wi-Fi.
K. F.
Too expensive and upper class, too pretentious for my liking. Quite good coffee. My cup was dirty and the table also.
N. M.
Service mediocre. Don't order the expensive brownie or risk waiting 15 mins for something that has come straight out of the fridge.
A. T.
I really liked their scone a lot, they use the best Jam ever. It is a great place for breakfast.
E. B.
Charming and welcoming design on the first floor. Unfortunately, even though it was not busy at all, service was very unfriendly and unwelcoming.
J. B.
Excellent food and service
Y. G.
It is my go to in Covent Garden area for pastry and decent coffee. The toasted sandwiches and quiche are great too.
B. C.
I will try next time I visit London . The Avocado toast is must try.
K. M.
The food was great as usual but the staff were distracted and sat braiding each others hair which meant we sat for 30 minutes waiting for our plates to be cleared and get the bill.
V. C.
Can't go wrong with their pastries.. I had their salad this time and it was pretty tasty.
p. a.
All I can say is marvellous
M. A. M.
Thanks Roberta for warmfull welcoming !
P. p.
Amazing food, terrific service
X. L.
It is always nice to visit this chain. You know what to expect. Compared with other companies Le Pain Quotidien is always better.
P. L.
Overpriced food, small portions. Okay for breakfast but not worth going here any other time.
E. G.
One of the best place for a rest or for a meal. The food is delicious and everything is fresh! The coffè is delicious and also the scone with cream!
J. C.
Enjoyed a light lunch here and the food was lovely. Amazing hot chocolate!
A.
It's a restaurant located in Covent garden. Customer can sit indoor or outdoor. The restaurant serves drinks and brunch.
T. L.
Really loved it here the coffee was fab 😍
J. B.
A very expensive place to grab a quick bite and drink some coffee. Not recommended on my behalf.
R. A.
Fresh pastries, I would recommend the cheddar cheese & mustard scone! They have a sit down option or grab and go.
B. R.
Been here a few times and like this place even though it can be crowded at times. Good coffee, hot chocolate and pastries!
R. S.
I often go here for weekend breakfast. If you get there before 11am you will probably get a seat. After that and you will have to wait up to 15 minutes.
P. D.
They offer gluten free bread. But we have ordered but didn't get
C. L.
Fresh bread and cakes
L. S.
Great service great hot chocolates.
Slight wait on the orders and bill to come. Overall great place
C. W.
Wonderful filled rolls, fresh and with a great selection of fillings at a good price. Very friendly staff.
J. D.
Service is not incredible but it is probably hard to deal with so many tourists. Food is excellent!
R. K.
It is nothing special, prices are high, it is what you should expect for Covent Garden. The staff at our time of visit were rushed and it took time to pay the bill, order
B. D.
Loved getting Baker's bread basket and great coffee.... Highly recommended!
