Proper local chip shop with friendly neighbourhood atmosphere. Chips are cut smaller than usual, which gives it a distinct character. The lady behind the counter seem to know most of the people ordering from around the area.

Cod fish was delicious and fresh tasting, the batter was amazing. Chips were yummy. We tried the mini spring rolls, 12 of them. They were pretty nice. The only thing is the curry sauce, it was better than others I have tried from a chip shop, but my mum thought there was a backtaste. I thought it was nice, it tasted like there was some "Thai" flavouring. But overall, a delicious meal from somewhere 10 minutes away. I would order from here again!

Old reviews are old and don't apply to the friendly new management. These guys are great! A stonking mother lode of hot, satisfying chips (with salt and vinegar of course), two pieces of fresh, delicious cod and 8 chicken nuggets, all cooked before my eyes in 5 minutes, and all for £13. Total bargain! They threw in some curry sauce too. I'll definitely be back - thanks Lee's!

Their chips are the best in South and I've tried a chip or ten! Sausages are all Halal beef too, cleaner and tastier than the usual pork stuff. Mrs Lee will even sometimes offer your dog a sausage, unfortunately my dog had to politely decline as she is on a strict diet. :) Thank you Mr and Mrs Lee, keep up the fantastic work!

I was craving for some fish and chips and the reviews looked pretty decent. I was pleasantly surprised. Good quality chips and cod coated in a nice batter. It’s hard to find good quality fish and chips highly recommend. Also good price for what you get. I’m not based in the area but will make the trip worth the travel

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this fish and chips here having walked past the place quite a few times but originally overlooking it. Perhaps partly as there are some mixed takeaway shops next to it that aren't that great in terms of food quality. The shop front and building is quite humble but the food was really fresh, tasty and hot, actually the best fish and chips I've had in a while. The service was good and the Chinese couple who run the place are super friendly. There is also a TV and a few tables if you want to eat in.

Over the time the new owners have been running this fish and chip shop, the fish and chips are cooked properly - and importantly they are consistently good, the shop is open at convenient times and the accept plastic. I always get a cheery smile which, with the good food, makes me want to return.

Lee Fish shop has taken over from a very poor service from previous owner to which I never used. By chance visited Lee Fish & Chips ;looked impressive what a surprise, very warm cheerful welcome, shop exceptionally clean,. staff very cheerful and professional and more important you see your order being cooked, so is fresh and not just kept warmed up. Good longer opening hours. Word of warning you seriously need to be hungry, both fish & chips come in over size and exceptionally large portions. Have revisited Lee Fish shop, and will do on more occasion. Give them a visit, promise you will not be disappointed.

Vegan chips...yes please! 😋 Since Lee and her husband opened the shop they have always accommodate me when it comes to vegan chips and I am extremely grateful to both of them for that 💖 It is not easy to find nice yummy vegan chips as chips are usually fried in the same fryer than meat and fish but Lee always goes out of her way to make vegan chips for me. All I have to do is ask her for them and every time she makes them for me which takes a bit more work for her and her husband as they have to heat up new ‘vegan’ oil in a separate fryer. Thank you Lee and thank you to your husband too for being so accommodating and lovely. May I enjoy your super yummy chips for a very long time! 🍟🙏😋💃🏻😁🍟

Really good lunchtime visit. The menu is good and all the portions are generous. The price makes it even more tasty! There is seating for several people of you choose to eat in. No customer toilets though.
