Nice restaurant in the top of Tate museum, we were surprised about the food quality to be honest. They have different menus and courses to select and the food is elavorated and tasty so it’s a good choice if you are visiting the museum. Service was excellent and the views are amazing, we were next to the window in front of St Pauls Cathedral, perfect lunch. It’s true the price is a bit expensive for a museum, around 45£pp but still recommendable!

was pleasantly surprised by the experience. the food and drinks were pretty decent, and the view was phenomenal on a beautiful sunny day.
the space felt oddly like a school cafeteria though; the restaurant could def do with a more refined interior.

Attended the Yayoi Kusama exhibition which I was quite disappointed by how underwhelming the display was although it was an interesting experience there wasn’t much to it.
HOWEVER, dining upstairs afterwards made up for the disappointment, the view was amazing with large windows allowing you to see over the Thames & the atmosphere was airy & welcoming. The staff were very friendly as well despite how busy they were!
The food was great too, I tried a new starter: chargrilled leek & romesco sauce, it was lovely light on the palette and flavoursome, the portion was small but worked out in my favour in the end as I was stuffed after having the main.
I had the confit duck for the main which was beautifully done, the vegetables & bacon were a nice touch and packed a lot of flavour. Far better than expected.

The reason for eating here is the spectacular view across the Thames of St Paul’s. The food is ok, nothing special (scone was stale, but the server changed it for something else immediately). So, have a coffee and enjoy the great view.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Gluten free and allergy aware as well. Their gluten free bread is the best I've had at a non dedicated gluten free restaurant.
The food was delicious, innovative, and really nicely presented. The view is really nice when the weather is good.
We ordered two starters and two mains. The only remark is that my main, cauliflower with cashew puree, the puree was a bit too sweet. Otherwise, it was delicious.
I think this would be a nice place to take visitors to.

The overall dining experience was ok, nothing bad. We were here for lunch on a weekday. There was a large group gathering. Our service was painfully slow. Food quality was good, but below our expectation for a fine dining restaurant. Space between tables was quite narrow. Our table was in the center of the dining room, and has no view. Try to reserve a table by the windows if you decide to come here.

The amazing and speechless view! It should be very lucky if you see this specracular Thames river view, as you know, it is quite rare to experience very sunny day. The food is quite average but it is worth a vist definitely

A fantastic part of the Tate Modern experience. Good selection of food and beverages, with wonderful views over the Thames.

Great set menu for Olafur Eliasson! Such fresh and interesting flavours. A real treat.

Nice view from the bar area. Good place to stay for a few hours to read, study, chat or for some quiet moments.

Amazing food. Good value for the quality. Staff are lovely but THE DECOR. It looks like a Littlewoods or BHS canteen from the 80s.

Overall my party and I had a great time at level 9. The food was definitely great and had an original side to it too. Wine list was also pretty good. Only reason for 4 stars is due to the dishes not being generous at all and the price which seemed a bit too much for what they were proposing. Overall great, probably won’t return soon, but worth a shot if you’re looking for a business or casual chic dinner!

Service was friendly and helpful. Shame that you kind of loose the wonderful views once you’ve sat down (the windows are a little too high for it to work well when sat). Tables are well spaced out and comfortable. It lacked personality for me but I don’t think everyone will feel that way. Food was good. Creative and interesting menu. Unfortunately our mains too much longer than we’d expected so we had to miss out on some lovely sounding desserts as we needed to rush off. Nice treat if you’re at the Tate anyway and can get a table, not sure if I’d travel across town for it though!

Food was really good and worth the price. And nice view on St Paul 😉

We have been to London twice in the past two years and both times have enjoyed an excellent lunch at this restaurant. Both times it was one of the highlights of our UK holiday. The staff on both occasions were excellent and this time the head waitress remembered us from 12 months earlier. The food both times was great and it was also wonderful to see some English sparkling wine on their wine list (you would be surprised how few restaurants in London have English wines on their wine list). If we are ever back in London we would definitely be back for lunch.

I came here after I proposed to my fiancée for dinner. The staff could not do enough and made the experience an absolute delight.
They decorated the table in advance, make sure the fizz was on table and chilled, offered wine suggestions, made food modifications but also gave us the exact amount of space we needed.
Great vegan & veggie options and an amazing wine list. If you can get the corner table for the views.
I'll be back again and would recommend it to everyone.

Food served was good.. Credit to the Chef😊Service and welcoming of customers can be improved by the staff. The bar has high chairs which provides a very good view of the River Thames and the dining seats are designed a bit low, hence you get the view only if you stand up.

I was treated by a friend visiting from another country who fortunately benefitted from a good exchange rate as I felt it was very expensive for what we received.
The food was fine, we had no complaints with the staff or service and the view over the river was good. It doesn't feel like a high end restaurant but if it weren't in the Tate I doubt there is enough to really make it stand out. However if you are visiting the Gallery and money isn't an issue then it's definitely less congested and a better option for a cooked meal than the cafe.

Good view over the city (even when it's raining cats and dogs like yesterday when we visited), very attentive and professional staff, perfect meals and drinks. I had a Polenta and from now on every Polenta I eat will be measured on this one ... it was a great flavor experience. Definitely a must-go if you visit the Tate Modern.

Three of us had lunch at the Tate Modern Restaurant during the Martin Morales Ceviche take over weekend. The meal felt like a real event thanks to the wonderful flavourful, vibrant food that was so lovingly cooked and presented, the service provided by the delightful, charming and patient staff and the atmosphere created by the art works on loan from the restaurant, music and themed cocktails. We were all blown away by our meals and my husband said that his lamb dish was the best lamb dish he had ever tasted. To top off the whole experience the warm and gracious chef Martin Morales stopped by at our table to talk to us and gave my sister (we were celebrating her 60th birthday) a copy of one of his books with a signed message in the front. Now that I have met him, I can see that his food is an expression of his personality. Thank you Tate Modern Restaurant, Martin Morales and the staff for an unforgettable lunch at a very reasonable price.

Very nice restaurant, with fast and polite service. Dishes were very good. We enjoyed it, had a wonderful time and we will come back next time visiting London again.
Enjoy.

Busy restaurant on the 9th floor of the Tate Modern. There is only a set menu £29 for two courses. Had the onion and cheese tart as the main course but nowhere did it mention that pear was an integral part of the dish! Service was very slow particularly for drinks some of which came after the main course. There is music in the background which is unnecessary.

Had a wonderful meal . Tasty, delicate and not fussy. My wife is non dairy and chef thoughtful enough to prepare a special dessert for her. Waiting service excellent. Thanks for your kind attention, Bart!

(Translated) Not bad. Impeccable service. Kitchen a bit messy. We feel the will to show it again. It's a bit baroque. But overall scented and with quality ingredients. Avoid the scallops as a starter: no interest. The view is disappointing as the windows are a bit small if you are sitting at a table.

Pas mal. Service impeccable.

(Translated) This is the best modern art museum I've been to, the best example of the transformation of an industrial building into a cultural building - you can find.
I recommend to everyone, from the artist to the architect, it is MANDATORY to visit this museum, set aside at least 4 hours, and preferably the whole day, to get around it from the lower level to the site itself.
Not to mention the fact that after the commie block, this kind of museums are a break in the mold, but so far this is the only museum where I have been twice and twice was impressed as if from the first time in my life, and even managed to doze off on the couch "digesting" the cultural food!
(Original)
