Reviews of London Chinatown Restaurant
I. W.
Good dim sum spot. Really enjoyed the steamed Chinese sausage, mushroom and chicken rice. The other dim sum dishes were tasty although the fried radish cake could have been better. The food comes from next door, Gerard’s Corner so it actually might make sense to just go there since the food would come out faster and hotter.
J. S.
had the roast duck and chow mein. both dishes were very well flavoured and the quality justified the high prices of central London. I wasn't keen on the interior setup. felt like a overly cramped carpeted living room. This is a good place to eat if you want a quick and flavoursome bite and don't really care about the atmosphere
R. h.
This is my go-to restaurant for Dim Sum in China town. There's plenty of seating with larger tables for groups, and a few booths. The food is consistantly good, served quickly and hot. Fairly priced.
A. H.
When I was looking for the restaurant on Google Map, I realised that most pictures uploaded by users are not this restaurant, people might this this page is for "all the restaurants in London Chinatown", but actually the Chinese name of this place has nothing to do with the English name.
OK, let's talk about the food.
Both crab and dim sum are good, the crab noodle has super huge portion, even people who are sitting across the room were shocked by it and asked waiter what I was eating, I packed 3 boxes when I finished meal.
Price is about £15~20 per person.

chinatown restaurant is a place I came across while visiting london and was almost impressed. When you first enter inside, you will be greeted with the smiling face and kindness of the staff. My wife and I went with my child and the food and desserts we ate were quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a beautiful day.
R. B.
Lovely place. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Additionally the food was delicious. 12 hungry people all went and we left fully satisfied. Family had the peking whole duck, which happily served 7 people.
Chilli Beef was a favourite. And also the very cost effective vegetarian meal went down a treat. Would recommend

They have a separate vegan menu which is really good - has many options however the service is really bad i had to wait about 1hr 30 min to wait just for the appetiser to come which was spring rolls and then food came 20 mins after that. Food overall was decent

We ate here not having read any reviews of the restaurant and were very pleased with our meal and service too. Was surprised to read some of these reviews where they said they had to pay up front or had rude service. We had the fried seaweed and fried squid to as appetizers. Our main dishes were the crispy duck with braised vegetables and sizzling beef with vegetables and a side of morning glory. Everything tasted great and the service was very friendly too. Not sure if some of these other reviews are for a different restaurant but never noticed the waiters being rude to anyone. Give it a try if you’re in Chinatown.
L. R.
Great food but extremely slow service. After the starters it took 20 mins to get the waitress's attention and we were then told the main course would be a further 45 minutes. We left
K.
Dim sum is decent! Roast meat portions are quite generous (3 roast meat rice). They sorted a table for us (6 people) pretty quickly. Only negative is lack of staff so service was very rushed. Also the cups were a little dirty but they changed for us without a fuss.
K. G.
Dim sum is gr8 - recommended! Friendly service, used to be a reasonably priced Chinese restaurant - now moderate. Decor is not the best in the world (simple white painted walls) but food makes up for it! Nice little cubicles for upto 4 people each at the back of the restaurant if you want to get cosy! One of my go-to places in Soho for dim sum!
J. L.
The inside is a little cramped - could do with one or two fewer tables but the food is excellent. I normally come here for dim sum and am always bemused by the huge queues next door when the dim sum at London Chinatown is just as good! But maybe I am less fussy...
M. L.
So far one of my favorite places for Dim Sum in Chinatown. Come at 11am and experience some authentic delicacies made to order. I recommend 3-4 dishes and especially the sticky rice in lotus leaves, spare ribs in black bean sauce and freshly prepared Cheung Fun.
Note: some of the photos for this place on Google feature the general shots from Chinatown, not from the "London Chinatown" restaurant. There are no pastries, hanging roasted ducks in the window, or all you can eat buffet here.
R. H.
Been a few times and always been pleased, expect the service charge pretty standard for London. This time food was OK but service was soooooo sloooow. Think they over stretched themselves with extra tables outside.
K.
The food was ok, I’d say tasty...
but the bill didn’t have any prices on it and after reading these google reviews about the Billings, I feel that we might got be fooled 🤦🏼♀️
They also don’t accept contactless or Apple Pay
P. P.
Food was great, but it was super busy and we needed to wait 10 minutes for our table. After all, stuff was pretty rude and we felt that we need to leave quickly our table because there is a pressure from people waiting for the table. I didn't feel that welcome at all.
r. b.
Lovely meal great menu- friendly staff and very knowledgeable- toilets were up 2 flights of stairs and were not nice smelly and dirty not cleaned in ages- apart from that we had a great meal we chose the set meal for two - there was plenty of food for all of us - the food was hot and cooked to perfection very nice location just inside China town
l. g.
Fantastic. Food, food stores, and people. Ask for credit card conditions before ordering. If crowded, you willl have to wait.
P. W.
Food quality was better than expected, while those seasoned waitress ladies were not so nice to the restaurant customers.
S. C.
Fast service, tasty food, very popular and clean environment. Not expensive. Good selection of Chinese dishes available. Credit cards accepted including American express.
Y. Y.
Always come here for delicious food when I miss home in London. Such a vibrant and nice community. Always worth for a trip if you want to experience south China culture:))
E. W.
amazing food. best calamari I've ever had. nice staff and atmosphere. central location in Chinatown with affordable prices. would highly recommend.
A. E.
Service was friendly the waiter advised us alittel on to what to order, food came quickly.
S. S.
Great choice of Dim Sum . Fabulous food service was quick and pleasant. Will be returning soon.
c. r.
Had a lovely meal here. Food was really good and service
N. H.
Clean and bright restaurant with very friendly staff and good food.
S. T. (.
Crispy aromatic duck was of great quality.
Service was satisfactory.
Overall a good experience!
A. P.
The food is good I don't really like Chinese and I'm scared to try new things but this was the best food ever but the minus of the restaurant is that your orders get messed upb
T. G.
Massive vegan menu! Delicious food and friendly staff x
N. A.
China Town located in the central part of London next to Picadilly attracts both londoners and international tourists with its numerous and varied restaurans. Havind at least one meal in China Town is almost a must for a visitor.
d. w.
Always buzzing with life so many Restaurants & Chinese Supermarkets to choose from. it feels like your actually in China
M. T.
Typical Chinatown restaurant, food okay, service okay, neither outstanding.
M. M.
The street atmosphere was lively. Many restaurants to choose from. Will certainly visit again.
A. T.
We ordered several dishes including g squid and dim sum. Unlike most places, you will be asked to pay upfront, but I find it more efficient so I was ok with it. We didn’t wait long for the food, which came in batches. Because all the dishes were not served at the same time, we were able to enjoy every single one of them while they were hot. All the food I tried was delicious!
B. P.
Good food, service bit hit and miss, but it was very busy.
S. N.
Fabulous food and good service.
M. B.
Really tasty food - we had the dumpling platter, Malaysian fried rice and Mo Po tofu. Fast and friendly service to top things off. Will be back!
N. C.
Great dim sum! Comparable to dim sum found in Hong Kong restaurants!
c. y.
Good quality of dim sum, fast speed service but a little bit rude.
A. S.
Well, I am a chines food fan but to be very honest one can find better chines food at other places then so called “China Town” but yes should visit once & have experience of your own.
O. R.
Chinatown in London is small, only two/three small streets. But its nice to see it and eat in some cool restaurant.
D. C.
Very nice food and quick service too.
T. Y.
It is a super area to try different kind of Chinese food and enjoy an oriental atmosphere in London.
M. W.
Great place to visit, you can expect good food but you are paying Chinatown prices.
J. A.
Had to wait long for food. But the food was nice.
B. G.
Great dim sum selection. Freshly cooked, all reasonably priced. Smallish restaurant fills quickly. Friendly staff.
K. H.
Really enjoyed the meal we had here
W. C.
Was an amazing place to visit. Like being in a different world. Lots of different shops and restaurants to visit. Will definatly be going again.
P. M.
My favorite steam Fish simple pleasure
S. S.
Decent food. Good price.
T. L.
This is an absolute must to visit. The food is good, not overpriced and plentiful. Service is fast and efficient. The charm is in the seating, the tables are large and you sharewith whoever is already there so you can end up sharing with several different groups. I have been many times and met many interesting people whose willingness to chat with strangers has been fun and have made a pleasant meal into an exciting experience.
M. W.
Great place to visit, you can expect good food but you are paying Chinatown prices.
N. A.
Great place to eat and hang around
B. G.
Great dim sum selection. Freshly cooked, all reasonably priced. Smallish restaurant fills quickly. Friendly staff.
C. W.
Loads of great deals
K. S.
Great place to eat. Very friendly staff
C. D.
A strange restaurant. The food was really nice and the prices were quite cheap for what we had (the set menu on the inside cover with courses). 5 out of 5 for the food.
A good turnover of customers even though we were in late afternoon.
On the downside the service was really curt and not friendly in the least. Eg. We had only just finished eating / were still drinking our drinks and the bill was just slapped down.
J. M.
The food and the wine was great but the service was poor (the table next to us provided much entertainment with the service they got). The dim sum was a little expensive, there were only 4 veggie options and a lot of that menu had sold out.
M.
I ordered via uber, everything was utterly delicious and very generous portions and fresh products used. Thank you 🤗
W. S. H.
Food was okay here. The rice portion was small compared to the last time. It was a plate size, this time a bowl. Some food delivered not ordered and what we ordered come later.
As for the bill. Well there was a service charge not indicated on the bill (as always a means of getting more money) and the waitress asked for a tip on top, to add to the credit card bill. I wandered and asked the waitress, who received the money from the service charge...Not the waitress. I paid a few pounds in cash. This tactic of asking a credit/debit card payer to add a tip seems common now. It can be uncomfortable and pressurising after already paying 10-15% service charge.
As usual I don't like London Chinatown's restaurants... this experience has done nothing to endared me to them.
Place seemed to have a change of staff from when I was around here a couple of months ago. The staff looked pretty much the same people as the next door restaurant. I wonder if the management or owners are the same. Has there been a take over? One person seemed to work in both outlets: coming out of one and straight into the other!
D. H.
Very nice interior. We had the £10 set menu. But were not offered this initially; we had to ask. Except for the duck & pancakes (duck very dry) , the rest was very nice. Portions a bit small for 2.
A. P.
Ok place with ok food. Staff are very friendly.Spring rolls were nice. We also had dim sum and lemon chicken. Dishes are OK in taste, nothing special, lemon chicken wasn't that great. The bad things : bill at the end comes with no detail and price breakdown, really in 2019? Prices on the outside are 50% off what you get inside as this is for prior 5pm. Deco has stopped in 1980's and you can see wholes in walls. I'd say try Chinese food outside of China Town.
P. L.
Great food set menu was perfect for us £18.50 pp for 2x ribs, 2x prawn toast, seaweed, lemon chicken and 2x spring rolls. Good plate of duck 6 pancakes, chicken in black bean, special fried rice, sweet and sour king prawns and mixed veg. Very nice. Can of tango £2.40 which was disappointing but the food was nice. Small toilets that were a bit grubby. But still 5 stars.
F. C.
Many Chinese restaurants here, but not sure which one is good.
D. W.
Always excellent food and service.
C. F.
Great food. Decent portions, good slection of food. The service not so great. Very pushy staff. Once we placed our order and our food arrived. The staff was gone, with no one in sight. We waited a while to have someone come over. In the end, walked up to the counter ourselves to ask if we could have the bill.
Z. C.
The food was delicious and had halal options too
M. N.
Just returned from a family meal at London China town. The food was served very quickly and found it to be very tasty. The place was kept very clean and the service was very good. Only thing I would say is that you can hear the staff talking fairly loudly at the bar but when they stopped the place was lovely and you would forgot you were in the centre of London
Five star service and will definitely recommend
T. C.
Good restaurant with great location most of the time is full but for sure you will find a free table. The food is amazing and cheap. The portions are massive so don't order a lot of things, you won't be able to eat all of them. The staff is great and they will give you a lot of attention.

Food came bit by bit and in most places dim sum always come together. When it finally did arrive it was nice. Tables perched on a stage we're left stranded for about 20 minutes before they could catch the eye of the waiter. They left after half an hour of starvation and boredom.
K. C.
Expensive, will trick non-Londoners with the high tip. Dimsum is better in Philly.
R. C.
Great food, setting not the best.
A. S.
Let us be honest it Chinese food, but this food was fresh tasting and enjoyable. How ever it was not as hot on reaching the table as it should be. The service is good once you are noticed, l visited on a Saturday night so can live with having to wait a touch longer. I overheard a couple complaining when we were served before them and rightly so, because the were forgotten having consumed the starters. However once pointed out apologies were offered as well as a free chicken dish for two. Beware of sitting close to the door, a cold breeze greets you every time someone enters. Overall a good night out, truly worth the visit.
G. M.
Value for money, but nothing special, buffet has no test after food can stay for hours waiting till it's Finnish, and bring New cooked food, it's good whenever you are hungry, it's eat as much as you can.
X. Z.
My favourite restaurant in Chinatown. Best service; one of the few Chinese restaurants that does not rush you to finish the food and pay. Price very reasonable. Dishes are healthy and not too oily. I come here to eat almost every week!
r. f.
Food was ok service a bit slow and food came out at different times so we all ate separately
m. m.
Open and full menu. Authentic Cantonese food and Dim submit pricey.
Good service again the premises need a coat of paint and new ccarpets
V. J.
Nice yumcha (dimsum). They didn't have any greens though, like Chinese broccoli or choy sum that I have had at other yumcha. Even though the restaurant said to ask about dietary requirements the waitress was annoyed and inconvenienced that I asked about gluten free options. I found some things, but I wasn't sure that they were 100% gf. Good food but not great.
C.
Not bad, dim sum where of good portion size - a bit too salty though. The stir fried Beef ho fun had good ‘wok hei’ but the noodles were too dry and needs a bit more seasoning.
B. R.
Loved it here. Great atmosphere and good food everywhere.
m. m.
For me, this is the best place in London to find any kinds of Asian food. Even if not for shopping, this place is my favorite to just walk around and have a feel of 'China'. If you are visiting or happen to be in London, spare a few hours to just wander around this place and you will have a story to tell your family or friends back home. Bring some money to buy some souvenir, though.
A. B.
Absolutely delicious brisket and tendon hotpot and amazing they are open so late, but sneaky staff prompt you to order more than you mean to by making it seem like noodles or rice are a part of the meal when it is actually a separate dish! Always ask if it is included before accepting. Rookie mistake on my part ha ha but otherwise delicious food.
D. B.
Fantastic food and friendly staff!
This place has a terrific menu, lots of options something to suit even the fussiest eaters. We visited when it was really busy and still got our food promptly and the staff were very attentive.
Some of the best Chinese food I've had! They get the little things just right. Would absolutely recommend this place, even if you need to go out of the way to get there!
J. B.
My recent visit on monday bank holiday was fantastic. The food was so tasty. I could identify each piece food by it,s taste. I can recommend the London Chinatown Restaurant to anybody. John Barry
n. b.
Nice restaurant, good service....
R. T.
Not bad, went on a Monday lunchtime and it was quite quiet. Shanghai dumplings are better at Jade Garden and generally the food is good but there's nothing outstanding. Even though it wasn't very busy there never seemed to be any waiters around when we needed. The booths at the back look cosy.
W. G.
Great food section. Amazing atmosphere. Great vegetarian menu. Food was delicious at great prices. I went there for lunch with my friend. Great services.
J. T.
Fantastic Japanese food at relatively reasonable prices and a great selection of sake, we had a sparkling sake that was easily the equal of a good champagne. The bar downstairs is pricey but refreshing quiet for a Friday evening.
E. S.
Nice place... Good restaurants that serve real Chinese food
S. K.
Chinese buffet resturaunt eat in or take away, very small shop. Very cheap prices for London, not the best but worth a try. If you are looking to spend less, then this is the place to be. Many other shops around worth a try. Congested seating, don't have to pay first as with some other Chinese resturaunts. No parking around. Will recommend you try it.
C. D.
A great environment, full of great places to eat, from cheap buffet bars to more upmarket restaurants. Super market sand corner stores selling Chinese food to take home. The cakes next to the Kowloon buffet are great but you don't want to eat them as they look cute wit the hand made pandas sat on top!!
S. R.
Cool place, litle expensive but so beautifol..
I went to restaurant to dinner and prices was around 20£.
M. W.
Good prices, enjoyed the chefs special. Food was tasty but nothing to write home about. Service not bad - a bit perfunctory but they were BUSY. Not a romantic spot. Lots of locals and families. Always a good sign.
L. O.
A reasonably priced restaurant for central London. The food is tasty and plentiful. Staff are a little brusque but allowed for a small change in their set menu, so I was happy with that.
U. K.
Been going to this restaurant for years. Usually have dim sum about every 6 weeks. Love the siu mai, kai lan with garlic, prawn toast, stuffed bean curd rolls and yam croquettes.
K. K.
very good. thank you.
A. N.
A very busy but exciting place to visit. Chinese food here is different (but delicious) from Chinese food served in the USA.
Example, Chinese fried rice in New York is fried with soy sauce to give it a distinctive light brown color. In London and France the fried rice was white.
M. M.
A great place to visit in London, easily accessed by Leicester Square tube station. I love how easy it is to navigate as the streets are pedestrian only. So many restaurants to choose from - a fabulous choice of dim sum from 12 noon onwards.
A. F.
Excellent! Nice food, good service and friendly staff. Reasonable price. Highly recommended restaurant in China town.
E. H.
Filled with a selection of the best (and worst, admittedly) Chinese restaurants in London, plus shops, hair salons, herbalists and all sorts. Most of the food in this area is fantastic - well, it would be, the competition's pretty stiff - but I always cringe when I overhear westerners order things you'd get at the local Chinese takeaway. You have the opportunity to try good food, why not take it??
B. E.
PERFECT, me and my gf went there for twice until now and we have tried many more before, i can confidently say that this is the best chinese food i have ever ate, thanks to everyone who works in there, they are very kind and knows what they are doing, and we are real fan of Chinese tea for sure and i am advertising it to everyone i know. We appreciate their great taste of food which they are supplying everytime.
E. F.
At the London Chinatown Restaurant you can find fresh, handmade dumplings!! The place is correctly famous for its fried dumplings, which are pretty delicious. Don't get anything else, it's not worth it. Bad customer service, but hey, that's part of your Chinese experience!
K. S.
Great place to eat. Very friendly staff
d. t.
Delicious food! Wonton mean, fried squid, chicken curry, ha gaw, sky mai, and Shanghai dumplings were all enjoyed by my family.
S. C.
This is a very vibrant area in the center of London. Probably the most beautiful time to visit it is after the sunset, since all the lanterns are creating a very beautiful atmosphere. There is a great deal of Asian restaurants with different specifics: Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, etc. Apart from this, there are various super markets selling Asian specialties which are worth visiting for cooking ingredients, interesting snacks and drinks. You should expect the place to be very crowded though, given that it is so central, right by Leicester Square.
A. S.
Always busy, always crowded but i love it. You can choose fron a lot of restaurants. And also in love with the food stores. I bought a lot veggies and fruits to my thai dishes. Bit pricey but absolutely worth it.
S. F.
Chinatown is definitely the place you have to visit if you want to try either Chinese cuisine or buy Chinese food. Various food choice, dim sum, hot pot or common chinese cuisine. Most of the restaurants are good, however the services of some of them are really bad, and the food was way below my expectation.
S. H.
If you're accustomed to American "Chinese" food, get ready for a real experience. This is like nothing you've tried, and as authentic as you can get outside of China. I love London's Chinatown restaurants and eat there every time I visit
Z. L.
I just believe London Chinatown is unbeatable and nice. It is a place to gather great people, bring oriental elements and share traditions and cultures. Food is amazing, try Four Seasons and those Chinese cakes if you ever visit. There is also a Chinese Library around the corner where you find Chinese cooking books and nice frictions etc.
S. B.
I guess it requires renovations, a bit more cleaning and a better distribution of tables. We were all packed in a tiny place - but i was there for chine NYE -. Food quite good
O. K.
Great idea of all inclusive restaurant in combination with Chinese cuisine. Disappointed a bit that price at the entrance is different than inside (guess higher or lower)
B. C.
Great food. Kids left clean plates for all dishes. Was a return visit and have not been disappointed.
S. O.
Absolutely tasty food, can't get better. Staff are lovely. Won't be disappointed if you come here
E. R.
Nice food.....poor customer service... please don't go to this restaurant after 8:30pm ....the staffs are hurry to take the plates for cleaning. eventhough thr is food in the plate
D. O. d. L. M.
Some good dishes, good service. The ambience is just fine. The sweetsour prawns where very tasty and also the crispy duck. It was also good the starters plate and the won ton
C. B.
Well I always check out Chinatown when I visit a city and although it is small in central London it has everything you expect, little alleys that lead to fish markets and a huge range of restaurants. It is right near Leicester Square so great for meals before and after the theatre. I ate in Dumpling Palace and had some of my favourite dim sum cooked perfectly, servie was minimal, they do not like sole diners
N. G.
China town is a must visit area of Soho, try to head down to chinatown during the Chinese New Year festivities for a really good time.
Lot's great restaurants (not so good if you don't like oriental food I guess!) and some excellent shops and bakeries.
Z. Q.
Very good food, need to improve their service. Also, majority (not all) staff is a bit rude
C. M.
China Town is found amongst all the good things that are to be found in London. In the heart of touristic London it is energetic and colourful. It also has high quality and incredibly affordable food. Choose anywhere, you can't go wrong.
B. T.
The food here was amazing, I want to go back! Best Chinese food I ever had, staff were helpful and welcoming.
P. J.
Great food hear. Very busy. Constant supply of fresh food to the buffet! For the price I personally think that it's great value for money!
T. R.
All major cities have a Chinatown and London's is better than most. My favourites include the Plum River (which is very contemporary and has very good food) and New World (which is traditional and prompt service and white table cloths). Not far away from Gerard Street is the XU Restaurant which offers Taiwanese food in a contemporary modern style. You need to book in advance for the Plum River and XU to avoid disappointment.
J. C.
Me and my wife have been going for 10 years and we are never disappointed. They are famous for their dimsum but mains is also delicious
V. K.
Didnt feel like you could relax here as I felt the staff were in a rush to get you out to get the table filled for someone else to eat but the food was great all tou can eat buffet
J. Q. R.
One of my favourite places to be, all those Chinese restaurants provide my country's food, some are with original taste not the kind suitable for British, heehee, if you like to try the real Chinese food-new china is one of them.
J. R.
Speedy service, very friendly helpful staff, delicious food, huge helpings!!! Very reasonably priced. See you in April when we are back!!! (Review by the teachers 😂)
K. C.
A strange restaurant. The food was really nice and the prices were quite cheap for what we had (the set menu on the inside cover with courses). 5 out of 5 for the food.
E. D.
Amazing food. Good portions. 10 pound special for crispy duck set. Would recommend for great British Chinese food
K. G.
Food is delicious, but smaller portions than I'm used to, and higher prices. Very nice Asian ambiance.
N. S.
Lovely food, but waiting staff seemed like it was a chore to work there. Would come back, but front of house staff let it down
N. W.
Food was average for a Chinese in this area. Staff were not attentive and quite dismissive. A little on the pricey side if you order individual dishes instead of a set menu.
v.
Great food, some have also good prices. One of the best Chinatown's for sure. Everything is pretty high quality
J. C.
Been coming here for years. Great food and staff and in my opinion the best place to eat in China town.
N. A.
Great place to eat and hang around
D. M.
It's is easy to get around Chinatown on foot, as it is a relatively small area and some streets are pedestrianised. Tastes from the Far East by exploring London’s Chinatown. This bustling neighbourhood is home to a large East Asian community, who gather together for events and activities throughout the year, in particular during London's Chinese New Year. The nearest Underground stations to Chinatown are Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. Its worth visiting after sunset as the colours, lights are truly amazing.
S. J.
been here for dimsum and had a good time. but mix hot & cold in balance so you can lighten up your afternoon for a fair price :)
J. J. G.
I spend a lot of time in and around this area when I go to London. It's always bright and vibrant. A shame I haven't got the money to comeback and live in London. Lots of happy memories of the west end!
C. C.
Ive ordered won tan soup and fried won tan...
The fried won tan was ok but not something you expect to get in a chinese restaurant...
The won tan soup was ok too but still not that good...
Friendly service and ok prices tho
V. C.
My favourite dim sum restaurant in China Town but only if you want traditional dim sum. Might not be best for people who are not used to having traditional dim sum.
M. I.
Very busy place. No halal restaurants. Had a nice time with family members. Children love the bakery and toy shop and nice shops for presents.
E. A.
THE place in London to have real Chinese food and ambiance.
P. N.
Not much atmosphere, food served very quick as is rather simple.
It was all well cooked, but a little over priced.
D. A.
Really nice fresh food dim sum galore super markets with loads of fruit you have to taste from Asia..restaurants are busy WELL the good ones so get there early..
C. K.
Love the foods and good price too
I. W.
Very nice place. First tried it with a spontaneous crowd of my own followers, the staff were very helpful, food was great.
V. H. W.
Tasty dim sum place.

I personal feel that most of restrauant in London Chinatown are not that good, but few other places are very worth to try. For example if you like to buy triditional Chinese food or sanks, See Woo supermarket is a good place to go, it sells products on a reasonable price, compare with others. If you would like to try Chinese Cakes, I think most of the cake house are worth to visit, I usually buy one or two every week, and the types of cakes would be enough to keep you going for a while.
F. D.
very nice cultural place absultley love the duck its very nice and crispy with bbq duck sauce its absulteley to die for love the people who work there so friendly. the toliet was very nice and clean strongly recommend someone to go there for a date or to go out with family
E. Y.
One of the nicest, my Chinese friends go. It's most vibrant China town than others. Chinese shops and many other restaurants as well.
D.
Decent prices and the food was very nice and plentiful. Its not the best in terms of decor, but it's not a dump.
J. F.
Their £10 set menu is great value and the food served was above my expectations. Prompt and polite service included.
A. L.
Having seen a few Chinatowns around the world I have to say this one is not bad. It's got a number of grocery shops, Chinese medicine, bakery, shops with a bit of everything and Asian restaurants peppered throughout. AND it's right amongst it in the West End.
M. G.
London's Chinatown is a wonderful place to be, with genuine quality Asian cuisine spread over a couple of roads. Favourite restaurants include the Lotus Garden or Dumpling Legend
M. M.
Not the best Chinatown that I've been to, but it does celebrate events such as cny (Chinese New year). The amount of restaurants and grocery stores catering to food from the far East is vast.
S. L.
Great selection of food. My only issue is when there is a sign saying 'Street food here', which points you inside a restaurant. If the food is off the street, then its not street food.
J. S.
First time to Chinatown and a great first experience! The chicken dumplings + chicken fried noodles was exceptional - will definitely come again!
T. C.
I'd like to take this opportunity to raise a relatively new concept which owes its heritage to this street. Head out for dinner with friends followed by a few bars in the local area. Once everyone is starting to wear and look a little tired head to Gerrads for a second dinner at one of its many great Chinese restaurants! Crispy duck for everyone! Also worth mentioning is the 'Experimental Cocktail Club' or ECC which is hidden along this street at an unmarked door. Make a reservation by email (given on their website) and speak to the guy who's looking a bit suspect holding a children's reading book at the door (its a list of bookings names). The 2 floors of bars upstairs offer some crazzzzzy cocktails.
K. H.
I will often eat here when in London. Food good, service fast, one waitress a bit direct and comes off as being a little rude but a good place to eat overall.
D. C.
Great service super quality food, highly recommend.
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will go again.
T. H.
Excellent food, great service, good atmosphere and comprehensive menu. One of the better ones in Chinatown.
C. W.

m. m.
Food was served quickly and efficiently. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice food
D. K.
The choice of food exceeded my expectations. There is a lovely walk around and a good selections of restaurants ...Try more than one place ...
J. R.
Located close to Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown is teeming with people and activity as expected. If you're looking for good Chinese fare, this is definitely a place to visit.

S. M.
Found reasonably priced nice food here, and it came fairly quickly. It was fairly busy but they still managed to find space for us.
R. D.
Tried Chinese Noodles + Roasted Duck here. Superb taste. Can't guarantee on other items, but you can definitely try these.
T. O.
Great dim sum, a little more expensive than others but probably better taste - really surly ungrateful service. Go for the food forget about the experience
R. K.
The set lunch at £18.50 was great. Lots of goodies and far better than any other place in chinatown at that price.
医.
The food is good, authentic Cantonese with a good choice of dim sum as well as main dishes. Reasonable price and decent size helpings
C. S.
Nice restaurant, nice food
K. P.

C. K.
A fun place to be, and great area to find inexpensive food in London (if you look at the menus). Just watch out for tourist traps!
E. V.
I prefer Paris, New York or San Francisco chinatowns... but if you are in SoHo and desperate for some Asian food (not the best) then here is your place

C. K. M.
London Chinatown is amazing! A must see when in England.
D. G.
Is Chinatown does it need any more info
P. A.
Chinese cuisine was really nice, but a bit overpriced. Rates on the menu were confusing.
M.
Their vegetarian noodle is good so is their tea. Their wc is not clean.
T. p.
had a great da today at Chinatown it was fun and exciting the only thing that could have made it better if restaurants sold sushi and ramen
A.
Strange place. Not so clean. Many chineese restaurants. But I have been advised to visit it during the night. Let's see!
A. L.
Friendly, central, excellent value. Sat in a booth - bit cramped, but fun!!
Z. M.
Great place to go if you're looking for traditional chinese food as there are loads of places to eat here
E. D. B.
The real deal. Prices reasonable. Not strong on spicy Chinese cuisines.
H. W.
Excelent food, quick service, lacking atmosphere due to busy location
M. B.
Try the New World dim sum at lunchtimes and enjoy the Trolley Dollies. Not a beauty parade to be sure, but interesting trying to work out what the food is sometimes
S. L.
Chinese New Year is always great in Chinatown even when it's pouring with rain. Lots of food and entertainment on offer.
G. B.
Cheap and cheerful. Food is not amazing but it's fairly priced and the service was good.

The main street of London China Town is Gerrard Street with a Gate at each end. The surrounding streets of Wardour Street, Shaftesbury Avenue and Lisle Street is also part of China Town and is worth exploring too, with supermarkets and restaurants, and lovely bakeries. Nearest station is Leicester Square Station.
S. M.
Good place for meeting up but never the best option for trying authentic Chinese/Cantonese dishes
L. S.
Wong Kei, is Wong Kei. You don't go there for the best customer service or the Michelin stars, you go for a cheap and cheerful meal.

Well worth it!
M. S.
Rather cramped and queuing for food takes a bit of time.
That said the food was good
I. M.
There's something about this place that defies what it actually is. There's an electricity to the atmosphere, and feels like it's constantly on the brink of a celebration.
J. N.
Always fantastic, order off the menu for some amazing dishes!
