This place is great. The service was quick and attentive. The food was delicious as always, even if the wings were a bit small. The onion rings were nice and crispy. The waiters were always very attentive, quick to offer you a drink when you were done.

Very distinctive and different. I would call it funky. That's the reason I planned to come here. Looked in pictures like a nice vibe. And I wasn't wrong. Dark, and artistic. Great stuff hanging from walls decor was great. There was even a stage in the place!! How awesome is that!?! Shame there wasn't live entertainment, but a Monday night in September? Probably not gonna happen. The service was great, very friendly and helpful. Attentive without being pestering. Drinks were good, food was great. Loved it, glad I chose here. Would definitely come back next time I'm in London. Ordering through the app was very easy and I'm sure even the less techy people would manage.

Another great experience at this joint. Got a try to quarter patty with four layers of cheese and extra onions. I’m going to get all the goodies including, but not limited to, buffalo fries, buffalo wings, and fried pickles. Come here for some good hearty burgers.

Nov 2021 Interior looks punk and a bid dirty. However, there’s nothing wrong with cleanness. Hamburger is great. beef is succulent and covered with melted cheese.

Oh where do I begin? I’ve been hunting for the best burger in London for a while now and although I’m still in the midst of the journey, I already know this is a strong contender for #1. The “Cheese” burger was incredible. At first glance looks small but once you get into it, it’s two thick juicy, very well cooked patties that melt in your mouth. The monkey fingers were great. Buffalo sauce wasn’t too sour nor spicy like most places tend to make it. Just on-point. The hippie fries are perfectly seasoned and dressed; not drowning in sauce but still full of flavour. Definitely coming back again.

Spotted the Meatliquor sign and thought we would give it a try! Lots of seating, staff very helpful and friendly. Servers wiping everything down in between diners. Salt and pepper fries delicious! Plain Jane burger wrapped in lettuce was great and the hotdog was tasty!

Great service and decor. Food was really nice, fries are better version of Mcds. All chicken is Halal, no cross contamination from supplier to your plate. Beef is halal but they can't guarantee no cross contamination as the suppliers also handle non halal meat. No cross contamination in the restaurant of beef or chicken, bacon is handled separately in the kitchen. Food below circa £60

Recently visited and tried the hippie burger. Also had the fried pickles and hot mess. Funky music and Alot of effort gone into the interior. Nice sized venue. However it is dark and the music is loud, making conversations difficult without shouting. Food really nothing to write home about. The vanilla milkshake was good but the burgers on the other hand were greasy and the sort that fall apart with your sauce and filling falling Out of the bun too. Hot mess seemed nothing more than supermarket hash browns served with siracha sauce, which was disappointing.

While I mourned the demise of the OG meatliquor site This new incarnation is a spectacular reincarnation. With a longer bar with a beautiful surface, this has taken all the best ingredients and added lots of lovely new touches. Longer opening hours,more Dancing, more beers and a giant illuminated pickle. The food is good, the coke was weird (heavy). I didn't like that the waiter tried to make me pay my bill without the advertised discount. Moreover, they included the *optional* service charge by default 🙂

I really do love these restaurants; great atmosphere, great drinks, and better than expected food. The burgers are absolutely fantastic, and I'm so happy that I can still have a cheeseburger due to them allowing to sub regular cheese with vegan cheese! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, especially when discussing allergies/intolerance. Will definitely return time and time again for yummy food! Only downside is that the music (live DJ when we were there) is VERY loud, especially if you're sat right by the stage. You have to literally shout at the servers, and each other, at times just to be heard. Maybe I'm old (!) But I mainly go to restaurants to eat and chat, so maybe it would be worth considering lowering the volume a tad to allow for just that?

Very disappointing - looks like the original Meatliqour on paper but none of the bits that made it unique remain. Dead hippie was cold, the fries taste like cheap oven fries and the service was appalling. We got sat at a table and it was already being used by two people who came from the bathroom looking very surprised! And we got beers without a glass! Had to ask twice to order and to get the bill. EDIT: The restaurant got back in touch and offered me the chance to go again, I’ll update the review once I’ve been but that’s pretty good service! I hope it’s as good as the original Meatliqour was as it was a great restaurant.

I had no idea before we sat down that there was an "optional" service charge added to our bill. Only way to have it removed was to complain. I wouldn't have minded giving a tip as I always do, but being forced when staff are paid minimum wage is a bit unfair especially when not notified.

Shoutout to TopJaw for recommending this place, the cinematography was excellent. Checked out this place during lunch time, can get surprisingly busy, so booking ahead might be helpful. Tried the cheeseburger and the Satan's fingers. The cheeseburger was good, patty was juicy, bun was soft and the sauce was great - everything a good burger should be. The satan's fingers however were rather disappointing. In my opinion, a little too overfried and tasteless, the hot sauce didn't provide much taste to it, just hotness, doesn't complement it very well. Solid choice for a meal, nothing to rave about, might go back a second round to try some crazier options.

It was a really busy on a Thursday night and we couldn't get seated until all our friends had arrived, which was a bit of a pain. But i would still go back there.

A lovely Burger joint with Americanesque bar interior. Red lighting, basic rustic seating in the form of low and high chairs. Burgers are available of beef, chicken, vegetarian or vegan options. We had the chicken fingers, braai chicken wings, cheeseburgers, chili burgers, fries with gravy and cheese, onion rings and slaw. I'd give everything a good 4 stars except the slaw which was average. Our meal for 4 came to £86 and most of us didn't order any drinks so not London's cheapest burger.

Had the green chili burger and Cajun fries. The burger was delicious and had real taste. The dip that came with the fries was also good, unlike any other sauce I've tried before Would have scored a 5 if the fries were hotter - shame.

They have a lunchtime offer that runs Monday - Friday between 12pm - 5pm (recently extended from 3pm). You get any burger + fries + soda for £10.00 which is incredible value for money considering the central London location. Chips resembled McDonald's style but less lard, very decent flavour. The chicken burger was very nice, well cooked and good balance of spice. My only comment would be to upgrade to a brioche bun, other than that it was perfect. Service from one the lady staff was top notch, she was attentive and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. Well done.

Visited the restaurant today, for a quick bite with my flatmates. Quick bite which thanks to the amazing service turned into a proper night out. Our servers were extremely welcoming and friendly, they had a perfect knowledge of the menu e knew how to advice us on which drinks to go for based on what was our taste. They walked us through the menu,which at first seemed complicated due to the fact that it was the first time we were visiting one of the company restaurants. Sergio welcomed us at the door, making a very warm eye contact with us even tho the front part was quiet busy and Mariusz had the best jokes to tell. They both made us feel welcomed and helped us have a great night out. Thank you guys,would be definitely back soon.

I've been coming to Meat Liquor since September 2012. Each time, the food has been consistently good. The burgers are flavourful and the chilli cheese fries are incredible. The coleslaw is also highly recommended. The place has great cocktails and a cool environment though the music can get pretty loud in there. Ask the host to seat you away from the speakers if you're looking to have an actual conversation before/after inhaling your burger. As well, though slower in the summer months, this place can get busy quick with queues down the street so try to get there early in a weeknight or on a weekend, if possible.

One of my favourite guilty pleasures in London. Loud in the evenings, busy almost always but worth the wait. Make sure you try the dead hippie burger, the buffalo chicken burger, their fantastically crispy and tangy wings with blue cheese sauce and almost any of the fries (the green chilli chips it's wonderfully spicy). A place of no half-measures, the portions are big and the flavours even bigger. If you are looking to check out the booze, you need go no further than their house grog which is deceptively delicious for the amount of alcohol! Whether you are dining alone for a mid-shopping break or bringing a bigger party along to start the evening, this is a great place that hasn't lost its attraction despite its popularity and expansion across London and the UK.

One of my favourite burger establishments in London -- an impressive selection of burgers (chicken, beef, and vegetarian-friendly), hot dogs, and sides combined with great service and a venue that definitely aims for and succeeds in giving off a vibe. Personally, speaking the Dead Hippie, Monkey Fingers, and the Chilli Cheese Fries hit the spot but everything on the menu is really worth trying. They're constantly adding great items to their menu which is great to see. They also serve great cocktails, my favourite from here being the House Grog. Love this place and I think the chain, overall, is very good.

Delicious burger spot with hard rock attitude. I had the mushroom burger with the side of slaw & my friend had a meat burger with the hippie fries. My burger was the best mushroom burger I've ever had! It had loads of flavor and it was quite hearty. The burger buns were soft & buttery almost like brioche bread. The slaw is a big bowl enough for 2 to share and the hippie fries were piled onto a nice sized plate. This place does family style servings when it comes to their sides. We ordered two cocktails-the Snoop Dogg & The Pink Chihuahua. The Snoop Dogg was very fruity & sweet and the Pink Chihuahua was dryer served in a martini glass with a bit of froth from the egg white (it was like a twist on a sour served up). I loved the Pink Chihuahua and would definitely order again. Great spot if you're looking for a place with an attitude. Definitely recommend!

Meat Liquor should definitely be on your list if you're a fan of burgers and chicken! This particular restaurant is my favourite of the chain as it resembles something out of a zombie apocalypse, very dark and dingy interior with lots of deep reds and industrial, metal type decoration. The service is reasonable but they do get exceptionally busy and orders start taking longer to arrive and sides and sundries get forgotten about unless you repeatedly remind them. I have tried most of the items on the menu, with the dead hippie burger being my favourite. Food is always bought out hot and the portion sizes are very generous. Perfect place for a naughty cheat meal. Will most certainly return

But this one is pretty good. The room is less interesting, and I miss the dark, dingy dive vibe of the original with its nooks and crannies. The food is pretty great, probably not the best burgers London has to offer but fantastic if you want something dirty, unhealthy and delicious. I also love the fact that they are open until 3am everyday. TBH I'm not confident it will last, London simply doesn't have the late night culture like NYC to support it, but great to know for the time being I could be heading home at midnight any day of the week and stop for a great burger on the way.

Has long been a favorite of ours, but paid our 1st visit last night since the Covid pandemic and was quite let down - namely by the really poor chilli cheese fries. You can see from the attached photos the portion they used to serve up (pic is from January 2020) v the portion we got last night, basically just fries with barely any chilli or mustard at all just a tiny bit of cheese in the middle and some chopped chillis. Really disappointing. The burgers and hippie fries, plus monkeys fingers, were all really good though. Also from finishing eating we didnt have anybody come to take plates / ask if we wanted anything else for 45mins. Luckily we werent in a rush and were OK just chatting, but not the best. Real shame on the let down in the portions though.

Occasional poor service is not really a deal breaker for this casual place, but is disappointing when you know how great some of the staff members are.

Cheese fries and chilli cheese fries were fantastic, we loved them. Cheeseburger was bland. Our server vanished after our food order, even though we asked to look over the drink menu. Took nearly an hour after eating to get our check, pay, and go. Never got to try the house drinks we'd hoped to.

Great place, good service, went on a Saturday night and the wait was not too long at all (drinks at bar expensive ). Food was decent value, and tasted great but was NOT hot, which was a big shame. We had 2 Buffalo chicken burgers, buffalo wings, fried pickles and hippy fries. Wings were good, fries were good, pickles were standard, burgers tasted GREAT but just nothing was hot enough.

Fantastic food, good prices for what you get too. Was only 15-25 min walk in wait for a table at peak dinner time on a Saturday evening because they don't fill up on reservations. Great service, friendly staff. Only negative was the music was too loud so this is a place for party chat and not the place if you want long in depth conversation because you can barely hear over the stereo. Good for groups or couples who are past their honeymoon period!

Well this place is quite special. Quirky, fun and interesting. Every Meatliquor restaurant is different and this one sort of has like a circus vibe. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly.

Absolutely loved the food here as well as the milkshakes. Definitely worthy of the hype. Very busy and they will not let you take a table for more than are with you at the time so make sure you are all present when you ask for a table otherwise you will have to wait at the bar.....not a bad option for some. The bar looked like it had a good variety of drinks on offer. Very cool place for adults I wouldn't personally suggest it as kid friendly due to images and language that is on the walls. The burger which is what it all comes down to was packed with flavour and will definitely return.

Consistently the best burgers in town! Awesome Bloody Mary’s too. The atmosphere is very rock’n’roll, so it’s not really a place for a quiet chat, but I like that. Not particularly cheap, but on par with similar joints. Queues in the evening are the only downside, so I always go there at lunchtime.
