Mega Burger will become the first HMC certified fast food brand in east London’s Whitechapel area to offer McDonald’s inspired Halal burgers. The exciting restaurant is looking to raise the game by also serving Burger King inspired sandwiches when it opens on Commercial Road at noon. Its aim is to provide quality high street burgers at affordable prices with items ranging from £1 cheeseburgers to £7 flame grilled burgers. To maintain quality and consistency, the restaurant has hired the skills of Muslim staff, who have worked at both McDonald’s and Burger King, to prep and cook their menu. The restaurant will also place huge emphasis on hygiene during the entire cooking process with “oil being changed regularly to ensure not a single dirty chip is served”. With a number of mosques in the vicinity, including East London Mosque, Mega Burger has sourced HMC certified, UK Irish beef to make their food accessible to all. HALAL STATUS: Fully Halal

We ordered a variety of their ‘Iconic Burgers’ - Mega Whoopa, XL Double Whoopa Bacon, Chicken Whoopa, MegaMac & Chicken Sandwich! We tried their chilli cheese nuggets, spicy chicken poppers & fries! Nice clean place. Reasonably priced. Decent selection on the menu. Ordered a chicken burger... It was like a peri peri burger. Wasn't too bad and post probably will be back to see what else is on the menu.

Below standard burger joint. Prices were OK however the quality was slightly poor compared to others close by. I was surprised that they only had ketchup and mayo. No special sauces which was dissapointing too! Chips smelt funny like old oil and burger was dry. Service was slow considering they are suppose to be fast food place. 3 stars as they are HMC! Would I go again.........

The food was ok. The patty was too thin. It was over seared so it tasted a little bit burnt. I feel the patty need a little less pressing down and a little bit more meat. Not sure what weight each patty is but it needs to be increased. That way you get some meat in the middle and nice brown sear on the outside. If you flatten it too much and don't have enough meat, all you get is totally seared patty which isn't that nice. Also, since it's so less meat, it doesn't fill you up. Place has potential.

Decent place, good customer service, you get what you pay for. Only concern is about the incorrect menu prices which differs from one TV screen to another. It is important this is fixed ASAP!

This was my second visit in 3 weeks and again it was quite honestly faultless.On my first visit the waiter explained that it was a tapas experience and to order a couple of taster dishes. Not rocket science, if you want a mound of microwaved food go to a Mega Burger I say!!!! Service was attentive, yet personal and really quite delightful that our server remembered us from the last visit! The food was innovative and beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were knowledgeable and rather fun, it's lovely to see people enjoy their job! Food was promptly served and cooked to perfection. A nice selection of drinks were on offer in a lovely atmosphere. Outstanding!!!!

A nice, clean burger joint. Tried the £1 burger out of curiosity, it was decent, quite tasty albeit small when compared to McDonald's and no cheese slice like their 99p cheeseburger (they compare their burgers to McDonald's in their advertising). I haven't tried their other items, but if you're looking for a clean no frills burger joint on commercial road, this does the job.

Burgers are great. Fries tastes really good but Hungry Cow's fries seems better. The whopper burgers are OK but not all that. Mine didn't taste like it was flame grilled. Overall its a really good fast food. The burger patties are top quality. Far better than most McD replicas out there.

Good tasty burgers. Similar to McDonald's. This place and hungry cow opposite the road are more or less the same. I can't tell much of a difference with their cheese burgers except for their sauces which is a little different. But they also do burger king style burgers too, which is great.

Wonderful burgers they Invented, I love their flame grill burgers specially their Amigo burger. This was exactly what I had in mind 💯 halal & delicious taste. By using top–quality ingredients freshly prepared and cooked to order, the MEGA BURGER UK was transforming a fast food staple into some very fancy eating indeed. I went today to try something new! They had a 20 % discount on the amigo gourmet burger. This burger was honestly one of the BEST BURGER I have had in a LONG time. The manager and staff were very friendly and welcoming and I did not have to wait long. This small gem in East London is going to be MEGA !

Being a local resident, this burger store is by far ahead of its competitors. WOW the design is unique and backed up by its kitchen. The hospitality is second to none with people in store very helpful with full knowledge of the menu. These guys are taking it to the NEXT LEVEL! I have already began to inquire about a franchise of this fresh fast food casual, good for kids, halal burger, open plan, take away store.

I just tried it since the place was new and I was curious to see how good it was. Overall it was ok I think the mac beef burger tasted really good and the chicken burger was ok. The fries seemed healthy not too greasy although I was a bit disappointed with the sauce choices and the taste. The sweet chilli sauce in my opinion was a bit too minty and the garlic mayo was ok but need more flavour. The smaller burgers like the quarterpounder lacked sauce although it might have just been my burger. But yh it was a good experience and I do recommend the mac beef burger.

Great food, honestly couldn't differentiate it from the haram versions!!! Great service and prices are very reasonable. Been going here regularly for a while, great that they try out potential new menu options on regular customers for free! If you want McD's, BK and soon to be coming Nandos and KFC type food, with all the taste and none of the haram, this is the place for you!

My brother and I were driving up Commercial Road today and came across this new burger joint. We drove past the place and I quickly Googled them and checked out their menu and told my brother they do Burger King style whoppers! We did a u-turn and went and got a couple of "whoppas". Tasted exactly like the "OG" whopper. Great service as well. Definitely be back very soon

Genuinely didn’t have high hopes for this place because there’s so many halal Mcds/BK burger joints but all the burgers were full of flavour, and so filling! I was so impressed with the smash burger and the zinger burger that I rate mega burger 5 stars because the food was soo sooo sooooooo fresh and the chips are always cooked in fresh oil, nice and crispy and not soggy or oily like majority in the area, mega burger thank you soooooo much for always cooking your food with love … I definitely recommend mega burger 10/10 so nice I could eat another meal , well worth the money

I wasn’t too pleased with mega burgers presentation. I had ordered the Mega Mac burger and my burger was dressed all wrong, I was very disappointed and too far away from the store to even go back and ask for another. However their nuggets and fries were fairly decent. Would I go back? Maybe.
