Reviews of Meraki Restaurant & Bar
G. K.
Outstanding food and service! Everything that we ordered was exceptional - grilled octopus, smoked aubergine, lamb chops and grilled beef fillet. We celebrated my brother’s birthday & graduation and the chef sweetly prepared 2 different plates of congratulatory messages which was a really nice touch! Also, the dessert that the chef prepared for the celebratory plates was really yummy and should be added to the menu!

AMAZING FOOD . Meraki restaurant is the place you want to be if you love nice quality food. The chefs are doing great job! The customer service was excellent. They speak Greek too so they can help with all the details that you might want to know about the menu.

Honestly one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in London. I loved it so much I went back twice within the space of a month for lunch. It's officially a favourite and one to tell everyone about.
The service is impecable, the team are so attentive.
The food is to die food, from the starters to the desserts, and the portions are very well served!
Highly recommend the lamb chops, lobster pasta, cherry tomatoes salad, ROSTI Greek style with black truffle, and the baklava *chef's kiss* - even the ice cream is amazing!
The only thing which I wasn't a fan of was the aubergine side, but that's just not to my taste as it's a bit bitter and chargrilled flavour - but nevertheless, didn't sour my experience at the place :)
Looking forward to returning to try the rest of the dishes ♥️
D.
It is good, but not great. Put aside the long hair in our long dish, and won’t count it in criticizing the food (cause if I’d include the hair it would of been 1 star).
Food is good but not great. Selection was wide and staff was great and welcoming. But, if you’re looking for Greek food there are much more exciting places such as Opso and Millos.
Long story short, if you’re next door and hungry - give it a try. Otherwise, don’t make an effort.

Very creative Greek cuisine!
The food is pretty good and service is quite alright too. Somehow the big menu is a problem and also not a problem in the same time, but it anyway leaves you with some FOMO.
The place itself is quite nice, a bit too loud to my liking. The fish display is very fresh and brings a market vibe. The dishes are authentic and also creative. It’s not cheap, but if you are in for an upscale Greek cuisine, this is the one I would go for in London.
The lamb chops, olives and chips were the highlight courses, while the sea bass ceviche doesn’t fall too much behind.

I love Meraki bar! Great cocktails & the ambiance. I have been there many times & keep coming back for more! This place never disappoints me: great music 🎶 and you can have delicious dinner at their Greek restaurant before heading to the bar. Definitely best Greek food in town and🔝 cocktail 🍸
S. G.
Always a great time at Meraki. Buzzy quality place with an upmarket, yet local feel. Fab menu and delicious cocktail list. Staff are friendly and on point- lively on Fri/Saturday evening. Must try the roast chicken thighs, bbq Octopus and tomato salad.
A. T.
My boyfriend booked this restaurant for our anniversary & we had the best time & food. The cocktail Hades was lovely & the ambience made you feel as if you’re in Mykonos. Definitely the best Greek I had in London - coming from a Greek🤗
T. B.
The food, service and atmosphere were great. We came with our toddler and he had the children menu that includes a salad (he didn't touch), pasta that was simple and delicious and a dessert for 15.
If you book the table through their website it offers the eat out to help out discount, which is exclusive to their website booking and was a nice surprise!
You must have the scallop carpacio, yes it's expensive, but WOW was just amazing.
C. C.
It was ok but can't say I particularly enjoyed it. The food was very average and the price wasn't at all justified. The waiters kept coming every 3 minutes asking us if we wanted to order anything which I found really stressful. The wine was exceptional but feels like the wine list needs a bit of choice.
M. B.
Beautiful restaurant, exquisite food, truly wonderful service. 10/10 I have no higher recommendation. A must visit.
S. S.
No complaints at all, food was lovely and fresh, staff really polite and made great recommendations. Decor so simple and tones would go great with any outfit for a photo if you’re looking to capture the moment.

My hands down favourite restaurant and bar in London. The food is consistently divine upstairs in the restaurant and also in the lounge. The staff treat you like family - rare in a city like London. Excellent choice business or family dinners, and always an insane party night in the lounge (i've done 2 birthdays and hosted some friends birthdays too). Would highly recommend to anyone.

Very good! Had Lunch with a good friend and from the moment you walk in there's an air of professionalism. Very good attentive service without being to over the top. Had a couple of salads to start, which were very tasty, followed by the bass baked in salt, potatoes and spinach. Followed by baklava and a lovely helping of ice creme. The restaurant manager Javier,a colourful character reminded me of a certain "Jack Sparrow" a wonderful, kind hearted guy, a great addition along with the staff. Definitely worth going, great food, great people, Whats not too like!! Treat yourself you won't regret it !

Looking for authentic Greek cuisine with style, you’ve found one of them. Make sure you book ahead as they are quite popular. We initially thought (from the other reviews) that the portions were small but in fact they are actually considerate and value for money. Just choose approx. 3-4 cold/hot dishes. You can always order more later should your belly and tastebuds want more. The service was amazing and really did cater for dietary conditions and special occasions such as birthday. Fantastic place. Do try out their weekly menu and also their special (with a taste) Sunday option too.
J. S.
One of the best places in London! The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The food is simply amazing and always cooked to perfection. On the bar side they are extremely innovative and and have and amazing selection to choose from. The club downstairs is also very boutique and they often have well known guest DJ's.
D. L.
In a nutshell: Great food, bad service.
Had meat for mains a nice starters, everything was very good, especially the lamp chops. The restaurant have an open kitchen which is fun to watch, they work in perfect harmony and very quiet.
Unfortunately the service we got was pretty poor, rather long wait time between the starters and the mains, had to ask for the bill 3 times and then it took another significant amount of time until they were back with th card machine, so long we had to stand up to get attention. Too bad, because everything else was really 5 stars
K. W.
Great night at Meraki’s, from the food, to the extremely friendly staff and amazing vibes! The menu is super interesting, loved it all
J. J. M.
Amazing place! Excellent greek food and lovely staff.

Nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia, Meraki has a lovely menu that tastes of the soul of Greece. 🇬🇷
There’s something for everyone here, and the most important thing to know is that they do all the important parts brilliantly. The Mediterranean flavours are big and powerful. I would definitely recommend saganaki prawns and octopus bbq from the starters and grilled sea-bream served with wild horta greens and lemon oil sauce or charcoal grilled lamb chops served with aubergine caviar and hummus.
While nothing can replace dining on a balmy evening on the Cycladics, Meraki has everything you need to be transported out of London and to the stunning views of the Greek islands.
Definitely looking forward to returning for more of this exquisite Greek cuisine.

I visited Meraki on sat the 26th of feb. I have to say the food was amazing and the service at the restaurant was outstanding. After the restaurant we decided to go to the bar. A table was given to us but unfortunately the service didn’t meet our expectations. Our waitress Leana had an unpleasant attitude toward us.
Liana was taking away our drinks prior finishing them. After 30 min she asked us to give back the table and move to the bar. I asked for a stool as I am heavily pregnant and her response once “No offence but I don't have any” After that, she walked away and we decided to leave the place .
On my way out I saw some available stools . I think some of the staff needs to be trained a bit more on how to treat customers specially the ones with special needs.
I. J.
A blend of modern styling and traditional menu items but with a clean, urban twist. Greek, but somehow global. Food was fresh, immaculately presented and really tasty. Portions are reasonable and ideal for sharing. Items
Arrive as they are ready rather than as courses so it’s ideal for sharing and informal meals. Wasn’t overly full on a weekday lunch time. Service was attentive and friendly.
N. K.
The best Greek food in London!
This is one of our favourite restaurants in London
We absolutely love the atmosphere and food here.
The service is always quick and great
I can only recommend
Т. Х.
Alright greek with typical dishes at quite high prices. This was my first time at un upscale Greek restaurant and I was curious if such a simple and ingredient based cuisine could be significantly improved to bring in something new. In my opinion Meraki served just the normal Greek dishes without any twists or additions to them, so the price wasn’t really justified.
A. E.
I can’t say enough how much I love this place but it’s my new favourite restaurant and go at least 3 times a week.
Greek food is nice but here they’ve raised the bar so high it has to now be the best in London!
The food is sublime and the staff are always happy and friendly.
W. N.
I have now eaten here twice now and it’s been great both times. The food is sooooo good and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
L. A.
ROSTI GREEK STYLE WITH BLACK TRUFFLE is insane. Feeds two. Really tasty. Amazing atmosphere restaurant with great service.
G. H.
This place was brilliant. Really tasty Greek food served in a modern way, perfect for sharing. Everything tasted great, and it was a fantastic opportunity to try lots of different things. I highly recommend the spinach and feta pie salad (yes, that's a thing) and the Santorini tomatoes. I'll be back!
A. V.
Lovely dinner this evening! Really tasty food, with big open kitchen. Brilliant vibe (quite loud) with great cocktails. Modern and premium feel. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, really made our night. Will definitely be back!
r.
3 stars for the food. Great value set lunch and small plates perfect for those times you feel like grazing or are being indecisive.
The bar downstairs is a disappointment - way too cramped to begin with and they then allowed in a raucous work party when we visited.
E. K.
Great food, even better atmosphere. We had an incredible bottle of wine which could not have been a better match for the food we chose. The staff were very spot on with their wine recommendation. The atmosphere is very cool and despite being a "Greek" restaurant, they did not have any of that traditional Greek music going on which helped to intensify the cool vibe of the atmosphere and you could actually hear the person sitting in front of you. The decor and the clothing of staff were very carefully chosen. The food was incredibly fresh and even their tomatoes were very tasty. By far the best lamb cutlet I've ever had and make sure to try the Trahana. The portions are not very generous but they're enough. As 2 people, we ordered 3 starters, 1 side salad and 2 mains and 1 dessert and we were incredibly stuffed! The service was very quick but I have to agree that they are distractingly overstaffed. I understand they want to focus on service and be speedy but sometimes they were too eager to take the plate in front of us away. Their lemon ice cream next to loukmades was an unexpected yet an excellent touch, definitely recommend it. It is pricey but definitely worth it. Overall 5/5, thank you Meraki!
S. R.
We went here for lunch which got recommended by a Greek colleague and we were not disappointed. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, well presented, great in portion size and were served quite quick after ordering. I can recommend everything, but definitely try the oxtail ragu with the pasta (see photos)
L. L.
Delicious food, attentive service and greater ambience.
To start with, we ordered some pita bread mix and beef tartare. The beef tartare oddly did not taste raw at all, it turned out to be much tastier than I expected!
Other dishes that I particularly enjoyed are the pork gyros, chicken souvlakia, lamb chops and smoked aubergine.
The gyros was served with grated cucumber, which gave it a refreshing taste with a dash of lime.
Chicken souvlakia was so juicy with crispy skin, simply succulent.
Lamb chops - By bar the best dish! It was served medium but wasn't bloody at all! All lovely meat juice was preserved in the meat, making it exceptionally tender. Have this with the grilled aubergine and hummus on the side of the plate, it is a must-try dish!
To finish, the four of us ordered a bougatsa to share. We were planning to order a second dessert but was alerted by the waiter of the large portion. Thanks to him, we stuck to just the bougatsa, it was way too big even for the four of us... especially after all that food beforehand...
The bougatsa had a slight twist, different from a traditional one which is served with cinnamon and icing sugar. A caramel infused chocolate sauce was drizzled over the pastry. Unfortunately, the chocolate taste was rather faint and we all prefer the traditional bougatsa.
Anyhow, in the entirety of the outstanding experience, this was a small flaw.
D. K.
I love food, I love wine, I love space, but ...
Why staff is always rushing to order more, why stuff is always pressuring?
when you paid nearly £300 bill, server is trying to take a half empty glass of wine out of your hands, we haven’t done it yet, no rush please, we are not in Mcdonald’s!
With all respect I think that’s our last visit...
D. P.
Gorgeous. We went to the bar which was more than just a bar. They gave you an experience alongside with your drink. Of course, this can backfire as not everyone finds the stories behind the Greek gods interesting. Well, I did so I'm keeping that!
H. W.
absolutely love the food! great combination with black truffle and eggs. the service was attentive. tho the portion might be a bit small, but who comes here only for filling the stomach?
Z. A.
Spacious Greek restaurant in Fitzrovia with an eye on design above all else. Recently opened, it still has some kinks to work out. They are evidently focused on service but are distractingly overstaffed. The food presentation is impressive but the portions seem more determined by the dish they're served in. Taramosalata came beautifully served in a large glass cone resting in ice. Despite the large portion, it was only accompanied by a few pita chips. Likewise, the freshly toasted bread was delicious, though scarce. The monkfish was a highlight as was the spicy squid ragout. Walnut cake to finish. In short, it's still finding it's feet with both the ambience and the food. Worthwhile a second try.
I. T.
A lovely cozy Greek Restaurant with authentic Greek flavors. Try all of the spreads(tzatziki, melitzanisalata, kopanisti etc) All the hot mezze we tried were super tasteful( saga Ali cheese, pastitsio, myconian greek salad etc) 🥗🧆 Salt-crusted sea bass 🐟 is a must!!
R. K.
One of the best restaurants in London. The presentation is impeccable and there’s something for everyone. At the time, I had a vast array of dishes including octopus which can be hit or miss depending where you go, but everything tasted fresh and top notch. Their desserts are amazing too.
E. L.
Smoked aubergine 10/10, other dishes were really good too. However the serving size left more to be desired, especially at the price point
O. T.
Great Greek restaurant. The selection of wines is fantastic, the food is really well made and the attention to small details and taste of ingredients is fantastic. Courgette pasta, fish of the day and lamb chops were amazing 😉
J. N.
Food was generally well cooked and tasted good but a couple of dishes were perhaps not worth the price. Still pretty good.
D. S.
We found this place as we were walking back from soho to kings cross. Got juat a drink and some appetizers and except the greek wine, everything else was top notch.
We had the lamb kebabas, oxtail pasta and chicken souvlaki for food and all of them were excellent.
I got the passion fruit cocktail which was awesome and my friend got a whiskey based cocktail which was also good. Another friend got a greek wine which was expensive and meh.
G. M.
Great venue and quality of food. Service top notch and intimate lounge downstairs makes it the perfect one stop place
C. S. M.
Best Greek food in London ! High end restaurant the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The food was absolutely fantastic!
You will not be disappointed with the experience
E. K.
The best greek in town! I can't wait to be back
D. O.
Greek atmosphere, good wine and a good but also fast lunch with some nice plate. Lovely wine and good service.
M. M.
I love Meraki! Maybe the best Greek restaurant in London! Service exceptional, ambience very cool and taste that travels you to another world.
W.
Food was tasty but a bit expensive for what it is although you do also get a whole fish. Set menu includes a lot of food. Don’t eat too much of the pita unless you have a big appetite!
F. F.
Went for anniversary, it's a special place...the food was absolutely gorgeous and we enjoyed every dish: the lamb chops and the beef kebab were to die for! Our waiter wasn't the most attentive one however it didn't ruin the experience because the rest of the staff truly made it great overall! They even sent us a little treat as courtesy...Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!
S. F.
This a new cool “hang out” restaurant and bar in central London. Great food, especially if you take the fish of the day to share! If you are more of a drinker/nibbler go down to the Meraki lounge, an you’ll be serviced by the best host - Alistar!
J. K.
Amazing food, friendly and helpful staff, great ambiance, definitely coming back
C. G.
I am genuinely in love with this place and I don’t say that often about London restaurants. Vibe is great, service is fantastic and even better the food is incredible! It is a bit pricey, hence the 4 stars as I came as a couple the first time. I would totally recommend coming 4+ so you can share and try more things on the menu, my top faves being:
Smoked aubergine
Courgette and feta makaronaki
Salt crusted sea bass (can share between 3-4!)
Love this place and the food- will be back for more!
G. C.
really disappointed. the staff were ok, but the food was bland and tasteless. the potatoes had hardly any sauce on and seemed like they’d been reheated at least four times. tiny bottles of diet coke for £3, i know it’s london but that’s a joke. way too expensive and the menu on the website is annoying as you have to keep
scrolling up and down. really really disappointed.
P. M.
Great food and good atmosphere, portions not very generous considering the prices. Wine a bit expensive but service and staff impeccable
A. E.
Delicious food, lovely ambience and excellent service! Highly reco.
j. t.
Amazing service and value for money
F.
Octopus and Horta was delicious, fries were bit overcooked and hard to chew.
d.
The food was OK. Some dishes were greek with a twist. The one thing that surprised me though as it never happened to me before, was that we ordered "lukumades"(as called on the menu) and we got cold mini doughnuts!! Unbelievable that when I raised it, they had to ask the chef to confirm the obvious! At least they removed the coffee and the cocktail from the bill to make up for this "mistake".
C. G.
We had dinner with 10 colleagues and friends here. Great to have the bar for drinks. Good list of cocktails. Food was amazing if maybe a bit pricy. Really delicious food and lovely fresh interiors. Not sure whether lobster needs to be on the menu though. Service was sometimes a bit sloppy and staff a bit to occupied with being cool. Overall, loved it.
B. A. S.
Very good food, I would highly recommend it.
The service is good.
Everything from the starters, salad, maza, and mains is delicious. But the desert is amazing.
A. C.
Very interesting Greek cuisine and a great Greek wine list. I recommend sharing a collection of dishes, try a little bit of everything. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and nice decor. At the pricier end of the spectrum.
P. S.
Meraki is a beautiful restaurant with amazing staff, brilliant drinks and food, like the best Greek taverna you could imagine, grilled bream and that tatare plus the smoked aubergine - wow!
J.
Great service, excellent cooked and prepared food. Huge selection of wines.
T. S.
Really beautiful restaurant. Went there on a recommended, and will definitely go again. The food was incredibly tasty, had the moussaka for main and that was so wonderfully cooked. The atmosphere was nice, it felt like a family run business and our server was able to have a joke and was very kind. 100% recommend this place.
M.
I love the atmosphere, decoration and the staff are friendly
The food was amazing ❤️❤️
Every dish has its own unique taste with different presentation.
The portions are quite good and enough to share 👌🏼
M. N.
Food was great. There were 7of us and all mains and appetizers were great. One dessert was not enjoyed, the olive oil ice Cream and chocolate mousse. It was not a mousse and we didn't like the ice cream. They brought out a birthday treat and candle for the birthday person. Service was excellent. The only reason for a rating of 4, not 5, was that two bowls had notable chips in their edges. Those should not have been in service.
Z. A.
`Such incredible tasty greek food, fun vibe and great staff
m. m.
Expensive £100+ for 2 food okay ,atmosphere electric outways the food experience, missed dessert, due to delay in service!not due to lack of staff
J. C.
Quite a good selection of food and wine. Definitely get a few dishes and share them among the group. The staff is quite attentive.
S. A.
Great food and nice atmosphere, highly recommend the lamb kebab 👌🏼
Y.
Excellent food, warm service & atmosphere! Will be coming back again soon!
J. W.
The food here was fantastic and the quality of the service matched or exceeded that standard.
B. g. A.
Nice place delicious food 🥘🤤
N. G.
Incredible food, all dishes were delightful, delicious and very different. Loved it!! Very professional and attentive staff throughout and cute little atmosphere inside, you can almost forget in London. Loved the mushrooms, lamb chops and donuts at the end!
S. A.
The food was delicious 👍, but really noisy atmosphere 😅
S. B.
Very understated on the outside but this is a fabulous restaurant once you’re inside! It’s got a really modern, clean and smart interior, and from the moment you enter oozes class. The open kitchen directly behind the entrance, complete with the live fish counter, demonstrates clearly that everything is fresh and cooked with pride. As a group of seven we were shown to a round table at the far back of the dining area, surrounded by the extensive wine display, which in itself is nice to admire. There’s plenty of other tables suitable for large groups so they can cater for every occasion.
Rather than going for main dishes our whole group opted for a number of tapas dishes, being served continuously throughout the stay. There was an extensive range of dishes on this part of the menu. Each dish from the well presented professional staff was served to the table really well but unfortunately didn’t always come with the description from the waiter you’d hope for, especially since everything was arriving at different times. Ignoring this though, everything was really tasty and a good size. The octopus dish was particularly memorable and I’d recommend.
I’d love to return here and sample their main menu. For a special occasion it’s ideal and the fact it was really busy when we left is well justified, so make sure you get a reservation in.
D. M.
Really really great. If you're expecting traditional Taverna affair this isn't it. This is a modern approach to Greek cuisine and shows that you can take a fundamentally rustic and simple cuisine (but also delicious) and elevate it to the next level. The food is cooked superbly and the dishes are light whilst still leaving you full. The Saganaki is probably the best I've ever had. Mains are a generous portion so probably one between two if you get a selection of meze. The Bougatsa was really great and despite having a chocolate caramel sauce and cinnamon sugar it wasn't overly sweet and hit the right spot. The mastiha ice cream is also super. Service was great right through from the front of house, sommelier wait staff and kitchen staff.
Ευχαριστώ πολύ για μια άψογη βράδυ
J. T.
Really good. I enjoyed the vegetarian dishes we ordered. Well seasoned and delicious.
Had the mocktail called Olivia. Was nice.
At £40 per head I thought it wasn't cheap. But we did order a lot of food I think. Was a good lunch, had a good time.
I. F.
Delicious plates and ambience, very good service. Very tasty lamb chops, sides were not included in the dishes tough, that makes the experience a bit out of price. Also, we did not find the greek variety in the menu.
L. H.
One of the best meals I've ever had! Amazing food, delicious cocktails and really friendly waitstaff and chefs. We ordered 5 different mezze plates to share and it was just the right amount of food for 2 (with bonus free tasting plates from the chef!) Absolutely worth the price. It was really interesting sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen run. I really can't think of anything to fault, I just wish we hadn't found this place on our last night in London!
S. B.
Planned a surprise birthday for my boyfriend with 11 guests which last minute turned to 12. Staff were absolutely amazing and SO accommodating from the initial booking service to the actual event. Some service was a bit slow but they constantly kept us informed of the delays (they were very busy!) the food is amazing and I would seriously recommend!! Loved it, thank you to all of the staff there that made the evening as perfect as I imagined :):)
E. M.
Literally the best takeaway we have had in 3 months of lockdown takeaways! The flavours are exquisite, the meat was amazing quality and by far the best Greek in London. We called the restaurant to tell them how great it was and they are an amazing team who really care about making excellent food for their customers. Thanks Meraki, we can’t wait to visit when lockdown is over.
G. M.
Excellent quality food and good ambience. One would expect more generous portions for the price tag.
E. G.
We had a great experience at Meraki. We went for the tasting menu as it was our first time there and we wanted to get a feel of their style and try as much as possible. The dishes were very tasty and authentic with great presentation. From the taramosalata and the octopus, to the sea bream and lamb chops, I would not alter anything a in their dishes. Their desserts were also to die for. I can't wait to go back.
L. G. C.
I recently had my birthday celebrations here and the whole experience was perfect.
Lovely food, amazing cocktails and great service!
The staff was incredibly friendly and I throughly enjoyed my night here.
We ate downstairs, which has a really ambient mood, with great music.
Would definitely recommend!
R. H.
Excellent menu and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.
A. G.
Upscale Greek cuisine that was spot on. The lobster and the veal cheek are particular favourites.
D. W.
I organised my birthday at the Meraki lounge and it was just amazing! The host Alastair welcomed me and my guests and made sure we enjoy the night and we’re looked after. The food and cocktails were delicious. The service was super friendly and attentive. I also loved the music and the fact that after dinner we could dance without going anywhere else.
I recommend that place and can’t wait to go back myself.
H. T.
Amazing food and Greek wine! Went as a group of 6 and we ordered a bit of everything from the small bites menu. The prawns were particularly delicious. We also ended up ordering the doughnuts for dessert and were shocked by the amount we got! Took some home for later.
Wait staff were helpful, especially considering the volume of orders we had, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Would definitely go again.
A. U.
Nice bad with interesting cocktail menu
P. D.
Tasty, fresh and innovative presentation of Greek food. The dishes are coming as small portions on individual platters. Every dish is a kind of a surprise, because they are so different to heavy traditional Greek dishes. Good value for money is the lunch menu during the week. Two courses for £ 21.50 and three courses for £ 25. They have a few tables on the street with hearing. Restaurant is suitable for visits with friends, partner business partner and family.Prices between medium and high, that's what you would expect for a nice restaurant in that area.
F. A.
Good Greek food but bit expensive for the portion
C. C.
We had dinner at Meraki last night, and the experience was most definitely an interesting one. I'll keep my review short and sweet.
Food: Pretty good, but a bit overpriced. If you're Greek, or have ever visited Greece, you'll know what I mean. Their excuse would probably be that the food is refined Greek food at London prices.
Staff / service: Very efficient, almost military style. If the staff / management don't know you, or you're not a regular, it's difficult to get a smile. Oh and they did a pretty good job of hiring people that look Greek, but are actually not Greek at all.
Space: Aside from a few tacky chandeliers, the lighting is very pleasant. As is the overall decor.
Management: Sub par. Too many issues to go into on a Google review, but this is something the restaurant needs to deal with. Again, if you're Greek, you'll know exactly how this restaurant is run.
Standout dish: The salt crusted sea bass - it made us feel like we were back home.
Things to avoid: The club downstairs.
S. B.
Delicious Greek food whether you are having seafood or sharing the giant “celebration leg of lamb” amongst a few people (highly recommended.) Highly attentive staff.
True to the cuisine, the seafood appetizers are not to miss.
True to the neighborhood, it’s on the pricier side.
K. M.
Lovely atmosphere and food :)

We came here as we had been for a walk and fancied a snack. My partner - who is Greek - had a Greek bottle beer which cost about £6. I had an orange juice, which, when the bill came, was priced £5. I think it was cordial. The prices for soft drinks were not to my knowledge in their menu. I was shocked they could charge so much for a soft drink. The drinks also arrived late and came when we were eating.
We had the feta pie salad, which was a modern twist on spanakopita. It cost £10. It tasted good
and was something different. The food menu is quite pricey. They add 12.5% service charge onto the bill. I didn’t feel the waitress was very friendly. I don’t think I’d visit again and left feeling disappointed.
E. P.
Having been there quite a few times now and the food and service have been exceptional!
All the dishes were delicious and the tastes.. just amazing! The ambience was great too which kept me and my company happy all evening! The place it self is very nice and elegant but casual at the same time too.
Definitely a must visit, proper Greek tastes with modern twists!
Is my favourite already 👌🏻
M. B.
This place is just gorgeous! I keep coming back.. the food, the crowd, the secret VIP bar and the music, just the whole package really is perfect. They've got it just right at Meraki.
The wonderful Alastair makes you feel right at home the moment you arrive, beaming away with his infectious smile and warm welcome every time. I literally take all my friends.
Highly recommend a visit to the restaurant if you haven't been. Must tries on the menu are the sea bream carpaccio and the beef tartar: melt in the mouth heaven!
A.
Nice restaurant. Visited for a lunch with a friend.
Very good quality food, good meze choice, fresh fish, surprises from the chef and carefully selected big list of Greek wines (not Greek wine is also presented well).
Size of the portions are fine - what you'd expect form meze.
M.
Excellent restauraunt, we had a selection of meze dishes to start, all were very tasty and beautifully presented. All four of us decided to share a catch of the day. What a great idea, it is fresh fish and just grilled. It had a small jug of sauce on the side but the flavour of the fresh fish without the sauce was great. We all had desert, probably should not have, but they were delicious. We will go back again.
P. K. P. T.
Wonderful service, beautiful food. Can’t recommend enough.
C. A.
This is not the usual greek restaurant. The food is familiar with greek food but with a twist. Excellent taste though! Make sure you try the lobster pasta. Removing one star as last time the waiter was a bit lost and they forgotten one of the items also we got food we did not order (we sent it back ofcourse, i believe it was ment for another table or something)
A. G.
We were impatient to visit Meraki given all the nice reviews we have heard.
Don't expect the typical Greek food cuisine. Meraki offers a very different approach to all of its dishes. And some of them are quite successful.
The atmosphere is nice but a bit dark for our taste.
There's a wide range of Greek wines to choose which is a great plus.
Our objections / concerns had mostly to do with the portions and the prices. Of course we weren't expecting a Greek taverna but surely mains like Pastichio (photo below) for 16£ was too much.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our time in Meraki.
S. L.
I used to come here when it was Efes which I loved. I came along to try out this new place and really liked it. The service could not be more attentive. The food was great. Loved the Greek salad and the hummus. Wasn't too crazy about the baby chicken though.
O.
Food is ok- modern European/ Greek. Very expensive for the standard of meal(£155 for two people). Tapas style meal but some of the tapas dishes are £18 each. For the price the experience felt rushed by the waiter
Enjoyed the meal just not worth this price.
J. R.
Having only a single set of stars with which to judge Meraki (well, for judging anything on this platform) is reductive and unsatisfying.
The first thing to say is the food is convincingly good. Not epiphanical (however, should food ever be framed in this way?) but well executed, neatly presented and not egotistically fussy - that was the preserve of their barman/mixologist.
Dishes of note were the; grilled octopus, the leg of lamb, taramasalata and the wild horta greens.
However, the service was, sadly, inadequate. We arrived early so that we could have a drink. The bar area is narrow and cramped (on a Saturday night) and therefore, it's not a convivial a precursor to an enjoyable meal. The drinks were very nice, but I'll never reach the level of sophistication that sees £15-£20 as a reasonable price for a single cocktail.
Once we had cleared their weird system for calling tables, we were attended to by the delightful and patient waitress. We ordered food and drinks. The starters came in a timely fashion, but the drinks came intermittently. Trying order more drinks (presumably something they'd like to sell?) was very difficult indeed, so that we eventually gave up. The wait between starters and mains was too long and so dessert, at 11.30pm, just wasn't desirable.
The staff were delightful under trying circumstances, but unfortunately when one is paying pretty high prices, the service should be commensurate with that. Were that the case, I'd have given Meraki 4/5.
I would definitely go back, and hope that the service issues have been fixed
N. D.
Excellent service and great food with charming outdoor seating. Highly recommended.
S.
Superb Greek Restaurant. We were treated by some good friends one of which is a delicious Bubble (bubble and squeak = Greek) and what a treat it was. Selection of starters just woofed down all of which were delicious. Then we had the lamb main for 4. My partner in any a lamb fan but went with the flow and she loved it. It’s slow cooked in a delicious marinade then rested and then put in oven on high for X mins before serving. Really yummy. Not cheap but for a special occasion or if your well off it’s a MUST.
N. K.
Simply amazing high-end Greek place in London with excellent wine list. Ambiemce is chic yet cozy, not pretentious but you feel in the zone. Quite small portion for the price tag- if you are hungry you will drop some pounds.
T.
Food was very delicious - a five star in terms of food. The lamb hot mezze, the mushroom hot mezze, the sea bass tartare and the aubergine is a must! Nice modern ambience.
Only reason it's a 4 star instead of 5 is becuase (1) it was very loud and echoy so made it difficult to talk across the table and we had to shout (we were only a group of 4 with a small table) (2) the service was not perfect - I guess it was a busy night but we were rushed a couple times, some of our drinks were forgotten, and when we were ready to order we struggled to catch the waiter.
T. S.
This place is really expensive for the AMOUNT of food. However the quality and taste is excellent. The environment is stunning and really comfortable and the service is good, if a little rushed. Cocktails weren’t great but could have been poor choices on my part. Would definitely recommend and return.
K. L.
Starters and mains were delightful. Definitely a go for the cocktail (greek god themed) thou on the pricier end. Had the cheesecake and mille feuille for dessert and did not meet expectations relative to what we had for starters/mains.
Lovely atmosphere and met with good service throughout.
F. L.
One of the best Greek restaurants I have visited in London! Very nice, modern decor with a wide range of choices. I would recommend following the traditional “meze” way of eating by sharing many different plates among the table.
J. D.
We booked a table at Meraki for my girlfriend and I to celebrate our joint birthdays - and it did not disappoint. Exquisite food with fantastic attention to detail, and the service was outstanding. Couldn't recommend enough!
Y.
Staff is extremely friendly and polite making you feel at home straight away, something that is part of the Greek culture so top marks there. Beef and veal were delicious so again, top marks. And it ends there I'm afraid...
The starters are extremely small and pricey, £8 (or was it £10, I can't remember) for 2 small meat balls and a dip the size of a pea is outrageously expensive. Same with the rest of the cold or hot starters. Serving 3 different dips with 4 tiny pieces of pita is laughable. And then the intrusive service, asking to take our plates whilst eating...And what's with the loud music after 9pm making any kind of conversation impossible? This is a restaurant (or is it not?), if we wanted loud music we'd go to club. And last but not least, bill arrived without being asked for as they had to free up the table for the next customers, no mention of slots on booking. We would leave anyway as we couldn't stand the loudness of the cheesy music but I'm sure others might have not liked it.
The place has great potential but not really there yet.
A. W.
Delicious food , nice service.
J. P.
Ambience was great and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the menu and also the wine list.
Portions could have been a bit larger but the food was so delicious and the ingredients super fresh that it didn't matter.
Overall a very pleasant experience and I will be going back since this is a very new restaurant I would like to see how they keep their consistency going and how they will better themselves.
L. N.
We had a selection of mezze all of which were absolutely delicious. The ambience was also lovely. Will definitely be back here.
J. D.
Really nice decor and attentive service. I found the appetisers really tasty but some of the mains were overpriced for what they were. £54 for the salted sea bass for 2, could barely feed 1 and only included a small amount of spinach as a vegetable, other sides were extra. Food on the whole was good quality but the prices were too premium for what what it was.
E. S.
Delicious, great options. Rather unclear on the GF options but got there in the end.
M. B.
This place is amazing. You dont find a high end Greek restaurant very often but this place is just that. Really friendly and helpful staff. All of the food we had was fantastic. They have just opened a bar in the side which looks like it could be fun. Go and eat here and you will not be disappointed.
G. V.
The food was delicious and the selection of wines. There is room for improvement on the service as we had to remind our waiter to pour us from our wine bottle. The calamari could be improved as it was too crunchy.
M. A.
Always happy to be here.
Great atmosphere at the bar and delicious food in the restaurant.
I. S.
Excellent food and very well presented but don't except your typical Greek dishes. All the dishes are based a Greek dish but prepared with a twist and imagination. All flavours are very well though. It has a nice selection of salads, dips and other cold appetizers such as octupus carpacio, as well as a wide variety of hot starters that are great for sharing. Strongly recommend the lobster orzo and the courgette feta spashetti for mains. For dessert make sure you try the 'mpougatsa' but order it in advance as it takes about 20 minutes to prepare. Service is good. Strongly recommend.
E. S.
Had a great time at meraki, went in with a few mates after stumbling around looking for somewhere to eat. I have to say that I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, the food was amazing reminiscent of the great food I had in Greece. The staff were extremely helpful and quick to help, even in picking some of the best food I’ve eaten in a while. Definitely reccomend it to anyone who wished to eat there.
C. D.
Absolutely exceptional! The food was fantastic and who knew Greek wine was so good?! A great experience and ever greater cuisine.
J. S.
I love Greek food but wouldn't consider this restaurant to be Greek, its a "modern med kitchen w small portions". the room, is nicely decorated and the manager tries his best to make it up for his waiters lack of finesse.
A. A.
Great bar/restaurant for date nights or events.
F. C.
Wow. So cool. So relax. What a great place to be. Gently noisy and friendly, great food, so sincere and natural. a joyful good use of our mother nature gifts to us, fish, veg, meat to be cooked with a discipline, passion, by some talented and humble chefs. Keep on going!!
D. G.
I can easily place Meraki amongst the best Greek restaurants of London even if It won't be my top choice.
The restaurant is very spacious and well decorated.
It serves traditional Greek dishes prepared and presented in a modern way.
If you go for a selection of mezedes as we did their cold ones were all very tasty.
From the warm ones I'd definitely recommend keftedes and pasticio but I would avoid souvlaki.
Overall the restaurant is a bit pricey but offers a positive dining experience.
S. J.
Amazing food, ambience, and staff incredibly friendly. Now that lockdown is over, I cannot wait to book and enjoy an authentic taste of Greece!
J. R.
We had an absolutely fantastic time here last night ( wednesday). They happily accomodated 10 of us and as we kept ordering more wine and more small plates the service was fast , efficient , friendly and the food fresh and delicious. The bill was very reasonable too. Brilliantly run and beautiful food
F. T.
Very very tasty, a bit pricey and really salty food! But good for a night out
N. M.
Excellent wine selection and sommelier. The food is hit and miss. Loved the smoked eel starter, but the Greek ceviche was a bit disappointing, and the Tuna tartare was unoriginal. On the mains the Kritharoto was amazing, well executed but the lamb chops were definitely more mutton like than greek paidakia-like.
N. W.
I don't want to rave about it because I want it for myself. Need I say anymore. Cannot wait to go back soon. Well done all. Amazing
D. O.
Great food! Nice atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
H. E.
Great restaurant. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. The bbq squid was amazing, as was the lamb kebabs. Would highly recommend the spinach and feta dip also
J. A.
One the best Greek restaurant in London, if not the best. 🔝
J. Y.
Really good cocktail
G. M.
Such a great bar and the food was just DIVINE. The best food ive had in London so far!! Highly recomended for a cute nightout with friends or a date 😊 thanks so much to the team who where so friendly and made me and my friends very happy and catered to every need and also allowed for social distancing.
D. P.
Excellent service. Octopus was delicious
J. H.
Food was generally good , starters were all tasty, but portions small and pricey- however service leaves a lot to be desired - you have to always search to catch the attention of the waiter several times in the evening - also must mention that the lamb kebab was inconsistently cooked - and more rare than medium !
B. d.
One of the coolest bars in town! Super cool vibe, amazing music and great cocktails! We will be back!
C.
Dined at Meraki on 14/7 and had the most amazing service! As a local we dine here regularly as the food is incredible but the customer service received from each staff member that night made the evening all the more enjoyable! Specific shoutout to Norman who went out of his way on several occasions and also the charismatic Jord.
The tarama dip is also out of this world!
Many thanks to the Meraki Team!
Y. S.
Authentic Greek food served in a modern and chic setting. Especially recommend the oxtail ragu, koftedes, taramasalata and Greek salad. Better make a reservation as they get very busy.
Z. G.
The best Greek food in town! The cocktails are excellent and all of our waiters were outstanding! Can’t recommend this place enough!
A. D. K.
My favourite Greek restaurant in London. Michalis the chef is most professional and a creative talent. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great.
P. K.
Lovely pub but expensive even for London
G. A.
Visit the bar downstairs. Amazing vibe and great cocktails! Great job guys!!
V. A.
Dishes are served in rather gourmet style - absolutely delicious and looks good. Deluxe Greek food (as much it might not go together, but it's true!)
J. T.
Great vibe, insane cocktails and decor. First stop whenever I get back to London 🙌🙌
T. J.
Good atmosphere but overpriced for what it is. The starters and mains were lovely but the deconstructed apple pie should have been put back together and the coffee was undrinkable.
Also what kind of place serves 200ml mini bottles of coke as a main drink if not trying to rip off its customers. Overall slightly disappointing.
P. I.
Really good Greek food with a great atmosphere. Amazing decour and impeccable staff. Can't recommend it enough. On my London must visit list.
E. C.
Very good and tasty food and very kind and fun staff.. but portion were too small and very expensive.. lovely atmosphere I defo recommend but be prepared to pay loads:)))

Amazing creative Greek yummies
M. L.
Simply good. Lots of tapas. So tasty. So good. Little expensive but is worth it. Definitely I be back. Service was excellent
D. P.
The food was good but far too expensive to be a good Greek restaurant. Portions are tiny. Not impressed. Service is attentive but intrusive. I wouldn't go back
V. G.
Fantastic food and well maid cocktails. The menu is sort yet the quality of the food and the service is perfect. This restaurant is not for vegans.
H. M.
Some good dishes like the rosti, lamb kebabs & pitta/dips but a bit overpriced. Food service good, but drinks were slow.
J. S.
Great food, staff and music!
N. M.
Great cocktails but pricey
J. G.
The food is delicious there 👌🏼
L. L.
Excellent food, incredible staff

Solid food but felt it was overpriced. I'm happy to spend a lot of money on good food but didn't feel it was special enough to justify the bill.

Fantastic high end Greek cuisine. Beautiful decor and ambience. Excellent cocktails and wine list.
J. S.
Good food (the starter was huge!) but the service was very slow. And our meals came out at different times.
s. w.
Great food, really delicious lamb! But the service was plain rude! That killed the experience completely.
A. R.
Amazing service, vibe & some of the best Greek food we have had! Awesome job guys keep it up & cant wait to be back 🙏🏽
S. D.
Really excellent food, nice atmosphere felt very warm on a cold winters afternoon and our waiter was very fun and attentive
A. S.
A little in the pricey side but one of the best Greek meals I've eaten. Betroot carpaccio is a must eat.
K. B.
Best described by my friend who said "you are always guaranteed to get a table". Food is probably 4 star but price, service, and ambiance bring it down a notch.
e. k.
Meraki was a night to remember, food was great along with the service. We couldnt stop laughing the entire night as the atmosphere was electric. A+++

Delicious lunch menu, but do expect to stay there up to two hours
R.
Best Greek place I've been to in London with a great selection of wine.
K. P.
Without a single doubt, my favorite spot in all of London.
The music is consistently fantastic and never fails to make the vibe more electric than it already is. The decor is top notch, but the staff is out of this world. By far the most attentive and fun group to run a place like Meraki. On top of my mind -- Julianna, Giovanni, and Alastair are the perfect people to hold the reigns. Every time, I have the impression they get the best of crowds ending up at Meraki.
E. D.
one of the best greek places in london!!

It's a nice place. I can say a little bit posh but a bit pricey.
You can see the kitchen which is quite interesting.
The waitress was very nice and polite!
The average amount we spent for lunch for two was £150

Came in today (Saturday 12th March) thinking we had a booking - which we didn’t. However, Alessia and Alice (in reception) were lovely to accommodate us, making us aware of the Out By time since they were fully booked for the night. They were extra nice to let us stay extra 30 minutes as they’ve moved bookings around to make us stay longer and enjoy the rest of our wine and desserts. Thank you ladies, it was lovely service from you, to the point that I didn’t know where my ticket for the cloakroom was but they remember which one it was. Also, Alessia suggestion was amazing and we took her word, and even double order that.
Dimitrios and Jacob were very nice as well, giving us good suggestions and pairing our wine perfectly to our order.
Thank you Meraki team,
We will definitely come back.
G. S.
(Translated) Very cozy and nice place. Offers tapas-style dishes to share or complete dishes
It minus the cost compared to the quantity (in 4 we spent about 35 pounds each) and the wait to receive the order.
Octopus BBQ delicious!
(Original)
Posto molto accogliente e curato. Offre piatti stile tapas da dividere o piatti completi
Punti a sfavore il costo rispetto alla quantità (in 4 abbiamo speso circa 35£ a testa) e l'attesa per ricevere l'ordine.

(Translated) The dishes are good including shrimp. On the other hand the quantity / price ratio is rather disappointing, that the portions are small considering the prices.
But much too noisy space.
In the end a good experience, but a little expensive
(Original)
Les plats sont bons notamment les crevettes. Par contre le rapport quantité/prix est assez décevant, que les portions sont petites vu les prix.
Mais espace beaucoup trop bruyant.
Au final une bonne expérience, mais un peu chère
