Z.The food was very good but they lose stars for two things: the man who greeted us at the door was subconsciously holding the groin area of his tracksuit bottoms; the same man did not bring the change due from the cash payment (service was included in the bill). Yes, I did give him ample time to bring the change (we were the only customers) and he was very aware we were leaving. I didn't bother raising it with him as the amount was under £5 and I wanted to test his/their honesty.

S. M.I feel biased writing this because Montys is such a regular place for us whether it's for take away or eat in. It's our no-brainer Indian restaurant. You are always greeted by a friendly smile and accommodating service throughout your meal. I love the flexibility when ordering too. Great atmosphere, great food, great service.... what more could you ask for?

F. I.There are many reasons why I will come back. This is a small jewel in Ealing and if you haven't tried Nepalese food, then this is a must.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They will make good and useful recommendations if you ask.
I wouldn't say potions are huge as someone stated in a previous review, but they are decent. If you are after amounts then you will have to choose wisely and for some cases you will need to ask for rice or naan bread.
The food is very tasty and the menu is full of varied options.
Food will be served in a timely manner.
The place itself isn't outstanding but still has some charm. Price is also very reasonable according to Ealing standards, although drinks are be slightly overpriced.
m. b.Had big hopes for montys .but order my food at 5.30 on Sunday night for 7.30 ,arrived 1 hr late ! Missed out one of thing from my order so didn't get that! And I paid for it ! I think not cheap for what you get not size of food that's fine it's the dishes themselves they are run of the mill! Same as 90% of curry houses just nothing to remember other than ,well I'll not bother with that again. So I'm going to keep looking for a decent Indian restaurant. Any ideas ?? Shame really after all the great reviews it seems to have !!

Great atmosphere inside and an excellent choice for takeaway days. Cannot recommend enough. Outstanding customer service is a pleasant bonus.

That aside, the food is great and appropriately priced. Service in the upstairs room is not gteay but the staff are lovely and at least the decor upstairs is pretty.

We have been dining here for many years,any celebrations, we dine here, bring our families, relatives,guests from overseas .
We love(our favourites) the grill/clay oven of mixed meats, fish.. they are divine.

The pickle tray and popadoms were also fantastic! Very fresh and vibrant tasting pickles.

S. E.Superb food, our go to treat spot. Montys special kebab has to be tried, it's wonderful! Generously sized naan bread also much appreciated. Can get extremely busy very quickly on a Friday and Saturday, so get in soon after opening. We've also found the service surprisingly slow on Fridays, with what appears to be pretty inexperienced waiters, when you'd expect the A team to be serving quickly to get customers out and in. It's not a major issue, but maybe plan some extra time for a Friday visit.

I had a really nice lamb samosa to start and the Special Kebab which came in a hot plate - diced chicken thigh meat in a delicate blend of spices - with roti (a slightly crisper chapatti). Really enjoyed it and will be back. We were give a complimentary brandy when we asked for the bill which was a nice touch.

D. T.This place is authentic! It is a must try if you are ever in Ealing and want some flavor (or spice) to your meal. Came here on our first night in the UK on the suggestion and I am so glad we did. The lamb jalfrezi (medium) was a good blend of spices & smokiness and melts in your mouth. The special kebab is delicious and a must try. The sizzle plate makes the difference when they bring out the kebab. Last thing to add was the tandoori butter chicken (hot). You won’t be disappointed. Of course order naan and some rice to soak up all the leftover sauce. Food and wine was so good I had to come back again before we left to go back home.

P. G.An Ealing institution, Montys has been there for as long as I can remember. I had my first ever proper curry here and I am still coming back over 20 years later. Great Nepalese food washed down with some Khukuri lager, what more could you want? Be sure to try the momo!
L. S.This is located nicely in the heart of the acton town. Iighting and decoration suites the asian style. I had the most hottest vindaloo here dont try it! :-) food is tasty and staff is friendly.
P. S.We had the Executive Lunch. At £10.50 this includes a starter, a Rogan main (beef, chicken or veg) with rice & chickpeas plus a nan, a drink - beer or fruit juice, and a dessert.

s. h. m.Monty's is one of the oldest Nepalese Restaurant established by Mahanta Shrestha. He is so passionate to serve the customers as his own family members. The food is so delicious and full of nepalese aroma. They used special ingredients in the curry that makes distinct their curry than their rivals. Restaurant was so elegant with nepalese traditional artefacts which remind me was sitting in the Nepal. I really recommend to visit with family and taste the food of Nepal.
