I have been to several 1* restaurants and Myrtle is way better than nearly all of them. Flavours are simply sensational, neat ambient and bright venue, service is top-notch without being too formal. At lunch you will also have the chance to choose a great value fixed set menu. Fairly quiet atmosphere so it feels like you have landed on another world. A tasting menu is highly recommended for anniversaries or a meal with a very special person.

Wow. Just chanced upon this place tonight after watching Belfast at the cinema. It was meant to be. It was serendipitous. Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic and talked us through the menu and each dish as they arrived. Food was all very well presented and delicious. Great food and great service.

Fabulous, what a fantastic little restaurant. We went for a Saturday lunch to try food before thinking about an event hire. Everything about the meal was wonderful, the service was on point, wine recommendations excellent and the food sublime. We had 2 starters and a signature main each. It was a hard choice to choose the best , fish cake that had a fillet of monkfish running through the middle and oozy pork brawn croquette. We had the hake with oats for main and that was cooked perfectly, the beef with a little beef boxty on the side was a taste explosion. Highly recommend giving this place a go :)

Absolute Gem Visited Myrtles on a Saturday night. This was a birthday treat for me as I had wanted to visit for a long time. From the moment we entered Daniel and the team made us feel so welcome and at ease. My wife and I had the tasting menu, and with each course came a story of the food and where it was from, which added to the whole evening. Juts a delightful experience from start to finish. Never rushed and nothing pretentious about this restaurant. Probably the best food I have ever eaten. We will return soon.

We have had Myrtle on our list for quite a while but with the “loss” of most of 2020 into this year, at last we had our chance! We chose a lunch time, ahead our our trip home. Such a nice warm welcome on arrival. We were orientated around the tasting / a la carte and lunch specials. Such an incredible and imaginative menu bringing out the best of ingredients from Ireland. We opted for the tasting menu, with wine pairings. Too many highlights to mention! Fresh flavours and wonderful food. Enjoyed chatting to Ziggy and the other staff about the food and wine served and they even went to the effort to hand write the list of wines we’d had. Highly recommend for any occasion and we will be back very soon!!

So deserves a Michelin star! Irish food perfection We visited this small venue with its stunning food. The courses were beautifully presented with sensational flavours! I find myself lauding two vegetable dishes, the carrot and the vegetable soup! To be honest all the courses hit the mak! The lemon posset was almost beyond words! Popped into the kitchen sadly Anna had gone home, as she has a 6/12 baby that’s not unreasonable. What a superb venue with great staff and lovely food, toilets down steep stirs but clean and nicely appointed Well worth the trip into London. Michelin, why aren’t you extolling this superb restaurants virtues?

As two country mice on lowly wages, we saved up to visit Myrtle. Pretty much sold by Anna's appearances on Saturday Kitchen. She seems so sweet and unpretentious, we hoped it wouldn't feel intimidating. We had the tasting menu and the food was sublime. The staff are super friendly, not a hint of rude waiter syndrome. Every dish was a little gem, sensibly portioned so you don't peak too soon. Couldn't recommend more, top experience of our London trip.

Such a gorgeous restaurant, it's no surprise it has such amazing reviews! The food is exceptional and each time I've been and there's always something new to try on the menu. The staff are all so friendly and make you feel very welcome and relaxed, especially Daniel the manager with his dulcet Irish accent, lovely! The tasting menu is the best way of sampling the best Myrtle has to offer but if you're in for a quick bite don't go home without trying the Clonakilty black pudding or Anna's famous beef boxty. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Never knew Irish cuisine is so tasty and elegant !!! Food and service beats some of the pricey 2 Michelin stars restaurants in London, that Ive been to. Probably one of the best dishes in terms of flavour, I have ever had. Definitely one to visit. Fine dining at brasserie pricing. Just perfect!

It is so wonderful to be able to dine out again. Mrytle Restaurant was an amazing return to a perfect dining evening. The food was outstanding, loved the Irish influence. OK, so I'm Irish, but this quirky menu was so much fun. From Colcannon to Clonakilty Black Pudding, it's all wonderfully thought through and beautifully explained & presented. Fantastic food and wine with great service in this lovely intimate restaurant. We had a couple of cocktails to start which were delicious - strongly recommend their take on a Black Velvet (Guinness and Champagne). The black pudding roll for starter is a must try and don't miss out on the boxty cake either, the panna cotta and cinnamon doughnuts were incredible. We will be back again soon!

I often think the sign of a good restaurant is when you find so many items that you struggle to pick which you want and on this Myrtle more than delivers. Irish super chef Anna Haugh has assembled a menu that leaves you struggling with not which dish to choose, but which dish to leave behind. The glutton in me would have gladly eaten every last thing on the menu and I can honestly say, the pain repaying the debt in the gym would have been well worth it. Mytle is without a doubt one of the most anticipated and hottest openings London will see in 2019. The front of house team offer a polished service from start to finish, proving both attentive and discreet all at the same time – no mean feat (and I say this as a former restaurateur myself). The Irish touches flow throughout every inch of the restaurant, from the beautiful pewter water goblets complete with wonderful Celtic depictions, to the marble the butter is served on, to the ingredients, lovingly chosen from Irish suppliers (most of whom it turns out are women), to the menu itself which has a wonderful Irish lilt to each dish. The restaurant feels like everything 2019 needs – a strong female voice, a menu that is all about quality and enjoyment and nothing to do with tricks and fireworks. That's not to say that the restaurant doesn't hold any surprises – the exceptionally well made cocktails and the incredible twist on the world's best Boxty cake (more on that later) hit all the right notes, but in a comforting and reassuring way. The food itself kicked off with a superb soda bread and some salted Irish butter. We began with a selection of dishes, Heritage carrot salad stuffed with pickled raisins and Mossfield cheese was a dish for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The contrast of the sweet raisins the perfect foil for the cheese and the carrots adding the textural elements to the dish. Clonakilty black pudding rolls, wrapped in a crispy potato spaghetti, accented by Wendy's apple chutney proved almost too good to eat, the sausage one of the finest specimens I have ever eaten and proving it is certainly much more than a breakfast item, and finally, trout with a cauliflower volute that was light and airy and for me the perfect starter. The chef treated us to an intermediate dish of salmon with pearl barley, asparagus and an asparagus sauce – a dish whose relatively humble ingredients belie its complexity – like so much of the restaurant, a true reflection of Anna. Main course was a stunning Irish fillet steak with parsnip puree, hispi cabbage, boxty cake and a tarragon beef jus. This particular boxty cake lifted this traditionally peasant dish into the realm of the gods – light as air and filled with a delicious slow braised beef. Anna explained that boxty cake will be making various different appearances on the menu over time – in dumpling form like this, as a pancake and the traditional potato cake. However it arrives, if it is a reflection of this, you will not be disappointed. We went for a clean sweep of deserts, partly because we couldn't pick and partly because at least 2 of us are greedy! Everything that arrived continued the theme of the rest of the meal – measured excellence. The Buttermilk panna cotta, rhubarb jelly, cinnamon doughnuts was a touch of genius – the perfect amount of wibble with the acidity of the rhubarb and then to finished the tiny, cloud-light doughnuts. The chocolate tart was rich, luxuriant and frankly, everything you would want from something so indulgent, the pastry thin and short and a wonderful ice cream to boot. To complete the quadruple finish we had a fluffy passion fruit posset with crisp biscuits, a touch of mint cutting through the creaminess and accenting the bitter sweet fruity flavour. Overall, Myrtle delivers everything it sets out to and more. It has the comfort of a well-established neighbourhood restaurant with enough flair and "wow" moments to make it both memorable and worth of return visits – truly a reflection of the soul of the chef. I for one am sure to be a frequent flyer
