Reviews of New Loon Fung Restaurant
J.
This place is absolutely delicious. We went here on a Saturday night and we were very quickly seated and served. The restaurant looks deceptively small from the outside, but is absolutely enormous when you go in. I’d recommend any of the set menus for two, they are very good value. They also do good beer as well. The crispy chicken was a personal favourite of mine, as was the crispy seaweed. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely restaurant in Chinatown with nice, clean decor with plenty of seating and friendly staff. We always go back here for the wide variety of dumplings. The prawn and pork dumplings, yam cake, egg tart, steamed cake, soups are all made fresh and taste delicious! You are given a sheet of paper to mark the items you want and the quantity and it's best if you place your order completely before handing over the paper. Repeat orders may get you a few frowned looks and took us by surprise. Once the order is placed, food comes out quick and with precision and the whole process is pretty efficient. They keep the pot of tea topped up every now and then (it is chargeable) but it all works perfectly and we always have a good time here. Their chilly oil is irresistible and I can't stop dipping into it every time. They have a supermarket on the ground floor and we pop by every time to pick up some snacks or chilly oil.

Amazing dim sum. I had dishes that I have never tried before. Very reasonable prices. Welcoming staff. Book in advance especially if going on the weekends. It is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in China town.
M. T.
Went for dimsums which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The place became packed very quickly, yet the service continued to be a quick service. The longest we had to wait for our next batch of dim sum was 3 min max.
Only issue is that we were missing one order.

Had a lovely dim sum experience at New Loon Fung. Really quick decent service, no issues with our order, and excellent prices for the dim sum! Some other places in Chinatown you will be looking at £6+ per dim sum, here none of our items were over £4 each which was amazing! I also like that the dining area is inside and upstairs. It was very busy around lunch time when we were seated but still did not have to wait for a table.
Will definitely return, this is our new favourite in Chinatown now

Taste of life... East in West...
Brought Sea bass, Chicken gizzards, Red and Green Chilly, Kai Lan, Red glutinous rice, Dates home ... and taste not less than upstairs...

This restaurant is linked to the New Loon Fung supermarket that is underneath the restaurant and I ate there with four others today. The staff are friendly and the surroundings are spacious and bright especially so because you’re on the first floor of the building which gives better light and nice views of the Chinese lanterns and looking down onto Chinatown is a different experience. You enter the restaurant via a large staircase on the right hand side of the supermarket and you do need to be lucky and get a table by the window to experience this of course however the food is high-quality ingredients cooked properly and tasted very good. The prices are reasonable for a central London Chinatown location and five of us ate plenty of food with a bill that came to £107 and that includes a 12.5% service charge that is automatically added. We had multiple dishes and I have posted a photo of a bill and some of the dishes to give you an idea of cost and what it looks like. I highly recommend the salt and chilli deep-fried squid as they use fresh squid which makes the experience completely different to when they use frozen squid in restaurants. The whole experience was good the staff were efficient clean friendly and non-intrusive.

Absolutely lovely restaurant, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food was of a very high standard, one of the best Chinese meals I have had, we ordered just some spring rolls and prawn toast for starters and then sizzling lamb, stir fried fish with vegetables, duck with ginger and pineapple and an egg fried rice for main. The food was served quickly and the staff very attentive topping up drinks and clearing plates away. There is a bewildering choice of restaurants in China Town and I've eaten in a few of varying quality in the past but this one I would highly recommend and I would say the price is reasonable for the location and quality
J.
I have mixed feelings on this place.. to start with the positive, the service was quick and efficient, the waiters and waitresses were very helpful. The starters , crispy duck and vegetable spring rolls were really tasty too.
Now the mains were not bad but not great, the chow mein had burnt a little and the chicken fried rice was very plain and didn't seem to have any flavour to it.
The soft drinks were cans of coke being sold for £2 that weren't even chilled. They poured it over ice for you but still meant a warm drink.
Then there's the restaurant itself, it really needs a little TLC, just a bit of paint and a little love. It was just a bit unwelcoming but doesn't make any difference to the meal itself in all reality.

Nice Chinese restaurants located on the upper floors over the loon fung supermarket... Quick and efficient service with nice food...
Z. J.
Decent dim sum in Chinatown, reasonably priced and comes out quick and hot. Very busy at lunchtimes and can get quite loud and chaotic.
G. E.
Just one lovely restaurant.
Staff were so firendly.
Dim sum was served very fresh and hot.
Lovely choice of dim sum.
Very easy to choose as the menu was in English as well as Chinese. Do you can understand what you are ordering. We had 14 dishes for 4 of us and it was more than anoth. And was so so tasty. So yes five stars from us...
W. L.
Good selection of dim sum. Very busy place on weekends. Delicious food.
A. H.
A place serving authentic and delicious dim sum and other Chinese style dishes at affordable prices. There is a Chinese supermarket next to the restaurant as well.
E. S.
Very good dim sum, one of the few remaining authentic Hong Kong restaurants in London’s Chinatown, courteous and fast service, highly recommended.
K. C.
Been here twice. Me and my little sis will always eat here from now on when we go chinatown. I'm in love with their homemade lemon ice tea and the food is great, abit pricey but me and my sis share the dishes so portions are reasonable. The staff are lovely too they work hard to be prompt and tentative.
R. M.
We went for the £17.50 per person meal. There were 4 of us but we asked for 3 people amounts. It was perfect for what we wanted. Every dish was delicious, served very efficiently. The staff were very polite and helpful. Would highly recommend.
E. W.
Great dim sum here! It was very busy so it’s a good sign the food is delicious! Each dim sum came separately and we’re freshly made. It was good as we could pace ourselves and the food was hot! There’s a wide variety of dim sum available and reasonably priced! The staff were friendly and were constantly topping up our tea. Will definitely be back again!
K. K.
Extra delicious food here. Loved the quality and outstanding service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
G. A.
Now my favourite dim sum place in London! Perfect to have lunch with friends. Food is so authentic and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back again and again!
T. Č.
Well hard to rate. Food was ok and service kinda aswell but.... i wanted pidgeon from menu and was rly excited cuz its my favorite dish but lady told me its out of menu for 3 years. They split my drink on the table and not even offer me new one so i paid for 3/4 drink but full price. Also that Asian feeling its not there. Its more changed for London customers and sadly enviroment look for me kinda cheep.
C. H.
Excellent ambiance, quick service and great tasting food. On the night we went, they were operating a one-in, one-out policy however we didn’t have to wait long at all and it’s a fair system. Food wise I’d highly recommend the crispy duck. Will definitely return soon
S. C.
Food
Went here for dim sum and I have to say the food was hit or miss. Some dishes were good tasting but others lacked flavour. Also quite a number of the dishes were tiny! Ordered a dry rice noodle dish and it was quite oily.
Service
A lot of people told me that the service was rude but I found the service to be very friendly and helpful.
Price
It’s probably standard for London prices but I would say it’s pretty pricey given how much we paid and the small number of dishes we ordered.
Ambience
The restaurant itself is nice, bright and clean. Washroom was a bit dark.
A. M.
Fabulous vegetarian set meal. Everything we would have picked for a set meal: mixed veggie hors d’oeuvres (seaweed, satay sauce, spring rolls, sweet & sour sauce, tofu kebabs); awesome mock duck pancakes with you sun; v good sweet & sour veg, ma po tofu & greens, plus good fried rice. Pleasant service and a better price (£18 per head) than nearby restaurants. Highly recommended.
M. N. P.
My husband took me for my birthday lunch he looked on trip advisor and this got one of the best reviews...the restaurant was buzzing when we arrived and waited only a short time for seating staff very welcoming. Decided on the set option meal which was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will return and try smaller dishes like dumplings & dim sums next time
T. B.
Amazing food experience! Staff is so friendly and helpful, food is delicious and portions are so big (mine was twice bigger but I forgot to take a picture before eating). Recommend!
W.
Lovely food here, service was amazing. Overall, it was a great outing. Would recommend!
M. R.
3.5 Stars.
Food was good, environment was quite packed, the service was good but slow at times.
The price for portion was good compared to other London prices.
To get into the restaurant you have to walk up stares so don't see it being good for any wheelchair or baby pushchair friendly.
Other than that nothing special but also nothing bad so a Okay good restaurant :)
L. W.
Fantastic place, clearly marked vegetarian items, good selection, tasted delicious and friendly service. Also cheap! Will definitely be returning. Their iced lemon tea was great too.
A. F.
3 floors, many tables, airy environment, good value with good taste & service👍
A. G.
Lovely Cantonese cooking - very tasty and healthy
d. d.
Authentic Chinese food!!! It's very fresh, cleanly and deliciously prepared. Price is reasonable, too. Their dimsum selections is a must try. We were so hungry after so much sight seeing. We consumed all the food we ordered and forget about documenting it for Google. So sorry guys.
I. F.
All our dishes were great. Service friendly and efficient.
D. B.
Slightly chaotic as ever. I'm clearly not a natural shopper as it takes me ages to find anything. Experience not helped by idiots standing still in aisles on their phones (not the shop's fault to be fair). Otherwise, extraordinary range of products at unbeatable prices.
I. v.
Fantastic meal, never been there before. Would definitely go back. Reasonable prices. Toilets very clean. Would recommend
J. P.
You can pick up all sorts here great of you wish to get the right authentic ingredients for some Chinese style cooking
P. G.
Lovely place to have Cantonese food especially dimsum. Little parcels of delight are so tasty 😋
y. C.
It is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Soho for the price you pay. Place is unhurried and good service, with tasty (mostly Cantonese dishes).
K. T.
Best restaurant in Chinatown, food is fantastic and service is amazing. 100% recommend
H. G.
Amazing selection of dumplings and super friendly service
L. P. E.
Love this place, great service, great food and staff are just so nice
Y. M.
I went today for the first time with my brother and we loved it, Very recommended!! The food was delicious and good quality. It is my favourite Asian restaurant in London. We will definitely come back
m. b.
Really nice if somewhat crammed food store in Chinatown, lots of fruit you would expect like Longan or Chinese Litchee, etc Very large area of frozen food 😀 , also found some nice Korean Kimchi 👍. The prices are Central London prices however if you look for the reduced price products you'll find some good bargain. This store can be extremely busy, so try to get there maybe in the morning or lunchtime to avoid the crowds.
S. F.
Great time at New Loon Fung! We ordered the Set Menu C (it’s missing a picture of the Hoisin Duck Wraps). Amazing!
C. R.
Good service, everyone wear masks so I felt safer than in other places. Food was good and also the prices.
E. F.
We had a Dim Sum lunch and found the food to be very tasty. The service was very efficient and the prices very reasonable.
S. K.
Spotted the good reviews on Google Maps and popped in about an hour before closing. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is nice and clean and a lot better than most of the other restaurants we took a look at in China Town. The food was excellent. We chose a selection from the set menu and a medium sized bottle of Sake. Prices were excellent too for a London eatery and we would definitely go back.
S. G. K.
Since it's mooncake festival time so had to try the moon cakes. It was my first time trying one. I think I may have had very high hopes so when I tasted it I thought it was an Okayish moon cake.did not try other items but this one was passe
M.
It was ok.... ugly room, very standard Chinese takeaway food but served to your table, nothing of interest, would never in a million years go back. Quite disappointed we picked this place....
T. T.
Great as always - good food, lots of vegetarian options and friendly, helpful staff. Good value and delicious
Z. L.
Great mart selling asian items. They also have a section selling fresh seafood such as fish and prawns. Will recommend here if you are looking for asian products
A. U. R. E.
Really good Chinese food and very understanding staff in catering to your personal preference of dishes. Highly recommend. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
C. D.
very good trad Chinese. Super clean Great and friendly staff
R. N.
Yummy dim sum and service is excellent.
B.
Excellent food with wonderful customer service. One of the best dim sum restaurants outside my hometown in Asia.
J. J.
Very nice food and service! Well priced too, would definitely be worth a visit.
E. R.
The food is delicious and the service is similar to what I've experienced in much more expensive restaurants. Great place for dinner!
P. K. L.
A bit tight but useful brand store selling the essentials and more. Nice Durian fruits too.
Doubles as a restaurant next door
K. T.
Best restaurant in Chinatown, food is fantastic and service is amazing. 100% recommend
K. Y. L. (.
One of my go to places for Oriental goods. Plenty of stuff to choose from. Only bad thing is the lack of space for people to manoeuvre around.
P. K. L.
A bit tight but useful brand store selling the essentials and more. Nice Durian fruits too. …
T. W.
New Loong Fong is open again. Yay! Proper social distancing in place between tables, hand sanitizers as soon as you walk in, all staff wear face masks. Felt safe and hygienic. The dim sum is fresh and reasonable and they were doing a £15 for 6 beers deal and the government 50% off on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays
S. G. K.
Since it's mooncake festival time so had to try the moon cakes. It was my first time trying one. I think I may have had very high hopes so when I tasted it I thought it was an Okayish moon cake.did not try other items but this one was passe

One of the best Chinese restaurants that I've been to. I've been here a few time now and I've always enjoyed the food. My personal favourite is the Singapore noodles
S. W.
Attentive, not pushy service. My guests and I enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Lobster spring onion and ginger was exceptional.
M. S. K.
Great place for dim sum, always space it's a big place, good service whenever I have gone. The only thing is if you are Muslim, be careful of hidden pork even in the food that says there is only seafood, the person who took our order didn't say anything but luckily the waiter that served us the food was really good and told us.
A. C.
Came here for dim sum in July, a couple weeks after covid lockdown rules were relaxed. After not having dimsum for so long, we went a little crazy and ordered waay too many dishes, but everything was fresh, delicious and really reasonably priced. The restaurant's covid precautions felt safe, and the service was impeccable. Will definitely come here again soon. Highly recommend it for dim sum!
D. S.
Lovely restaurant. Tasty food. Very popular so long waiting times. Reasonable prices.
G. N.
One of the best Chinese restaurants that I've been to. I've been here a few time now and I've always enjoyed the food. My personal favourite is the Singapore noodles
A. T.
Great food , also has a lift as it's on the first floor
A.
Excellent selection of the very best Chinese products. I visit often and it is always well stocked and with the odd surprise. Along with a huge selection of dry ingredients, sauces and vegetables they carry Hong Kong specific classics like cheung fun and even pineapple buns from the nearby Chinatown Bakery. Highly recommended.
R. G.
Accompanied my Chinese buddy for a spiffing lunch ordered by him. Mainly Chinese origin diners. Highly recommended. Thanks
G. H.
An old famous restaurant with many locals that always return to sample the varied menu full of 😊 😃 😄 delights.
k. f.
All your Asian cravings fulfiled in one place. Great selection of fresh, dry and frozen foods + cooking equipment. Staff is super nice and friendly, if you don't know your way around your Asian cuisines, they will help you out. Very clean and friendly! Extra perk, massive selection of dim sums to cook at home 😍
C. H. K.
This is a Cantonese Style restaurant located in the Chinatown of London.
It is located on the first floor of the building.
The dishes are mainly prepared in Cantonese style. The Lobster Noodles and Roast Pork are recommended. Their other dishes are good.
Service is good. Waiting time for food is also reasonable.
Cleanliness is acceptable.
Prices are reasonable. Cash and cards are accepted.
The restaurant is located on the first floor and without lift service, handicapped patrons on wheelchairs cannot patronize this restaurant.
D. G.
Average for Chinese supermarket. Virtually no steamable dim sum items like har gow, Siu mai. Small selection of buns and pork in black bean.
Virtually no fresh seafood or meats.
Some fresh veggies like Kai Lan.
Lots of packet stuff. Some Japanese stuff.
More tourist oriented than true shopper for Chinese.
Some items a tiny bit cheaper than Wing Yip but, nowhere near for choice.
R. T.
In a crowded little China full of choices we got in with the kids just my luck. The decor may be a bit outdated but the service and the food made up for it. From the clean plates to the friendly service and quick arrival of food, everything was great. Kids loved the chefs special scallops and all the items we ordered were excellent. A good choice if you want to try authentic Chinese.
M. S.
Had an amazing time with the family here during the (tier 1) low stage of covid. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive.
The food: Very tasty, fresh and well presented.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Delicious !!
S. P.
Haven't had dim sum in years. There was enough of a selection of vegetarian dim sum here to tempt us in. We really enjoyed our meal. Fresh, tasty food, good portions and attentive staff.
R. M.
I had the Malaysian crab, was excellent and very tasty. Service was quick and polite.
S. E.
Always on point. Never disappointed. Excellent service and tasty food
B. R.
Fast service and good food.
T. S.
Delicious food. Great service and good value. Simple decoration in the restaurant but the rest makes up for it.
m.
My go to place in London for Chinese groceries. Always great stuff to buy. Queues can be hideously long during busy periods
D. R.
Great food, good service
A. A.
They catered for our guest in a private room at the back. Great service and delicious food.
Z.
I always go to this store when I want to buy a bulk box of noodles. They have these very high on top of the normal shelves of stock & have to ask a staff member to get one down. Staff usually easy to find and stop what they're doing to help before returning to what they were doing before.
K.
Great selection of food and vegetables, fresh fish and meat. Overall always has what I need and is easy to navigate. Also love that they have temperature checks before entering and is very clean
B. T.
I occasionally come here with my parents. The space is nice and the service is good. The food is 7/10. Chinese food in the UK is usually poor quality; this restaurant is better than that, so it's good enough for us.
R. F.
Really enjoyed both my dim sum and dinner experience here. Food was authentic, service was great and tables have been spread out. Definitely one of the more spacious restaurants in China town.
M. D.
Excellent food, highly recommended
B. N.
Great selection of vegetables and spices , frozen fish , as well as fresh , squid , chickens claws , duck meat , and Tofu . Different types of pot noodles ; pastes for making curries and stir-fry . House hold items , such as woks , dust pan and brushes . I like this busy popular store . Worth a visit if you are in Chinatown . I never seem to be able to come away empty handed .
G. P.
Was clean quiet food was good service was ok
J. A.
I have been coming to this Chinese supermarket for decades and the selection and quality has gone up. They even refurbished it. I buy my soft drinks from my childhood here, fish balls, noodles, jasmine rice and comfort foods. Prices are good and selection just right. I support them as a supermarket. Thank you.
M. P.
Average looking restaurant but food and service great!
Fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back!
B. V.
Small grocery store that provides a lot of foods and ingredients for Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian and Korean food. Our most famous Asia Store in London.
K. M.
Great restaurant! Lovely staff, great food, good portion! Highly recommended!
r. w.
Great food, service friendly.... unlike some other Chinatown restaurants
D. L.
The service is good, clean, the food are delicious and the waiter is mindful for us not over do our order which we cannot finish the food..when it can be an advantage to them for us to pay more..thats why i gave 5 stars..
K. W.
Great produce at affordable prices, various selections in all categories, in house butcher, frozen foods, ready-made and frozen seafood and meat dumplings manaus. A patisserie paradise for ingredients. Also in Chinese bakery
J. C.
Love love love their dim sum!
C. H.
Great chinese, brill location, highly recommend
A. L.
Best dim sum restaurant in Chinatown. I have been going here for years and after trying many different restaurants in the area I always come back to here. Their dim sum is of a really high quality and is always delicious. I highly recommend the har gau and har cheung fun!!
M. L.
The set meal for 4 was easily enough for 7 persons! But the set meals were not a good example of fine chinese cooking, unfortunately. The lobster noodles were reasonable but does not compare with those served in Mandarin Kitchen, Bayswater.
Service was pretty good but the waiters will want to ask if you want to tip extra even when the 12.5pc service charge is already added to the bill. They have no hesitation in reminding me that customers often want to top up the service charge with additional tips.
S. Q.
We went here after waiting for so long in a queue in front of a hyped restaurant. This restaurant is slightly hidden upstairs, the decor is typically Chinese. The food was so good, especially the main dishes. Service was very friendly, helped us ordering and kept us from ordering too much.
A. D.
Love this place. Went to Harbour City for years and they moved here a while back, food as good as ever, good service and prices.
C. S.
Great selection of Chinese food, as well as Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Indian and other East Asian cuisines. This is my go-to Asian specialty store when I want to stock up on food. They also have a good selection of fresh Chinese vegetables. Staff is usually quite helpful. The value is not bad either.
B. T.
Hi there . Loon Fung is a good supermarket to visit and buy products, fresh fish , fresh meat ,fresh vegetables loads of dry goods from bottled sauces to dried pulses to dried noodles really it's a supermarket well worth taking a look for provision. The prices are not heavy, they are well within reach of most budget. Also I must say , the quality of all products is very, very good. I give 8 out of ten overall.
C. B.
Best Chinese food we've ever had. The staff was very friendly. The placed filled up within an hour if opening but they were very quick with our order.
R. L.
Excellent food, delicious. Noisy busy atmosphere, very friendly good if you have a family and children, clean toilets friendly staff
U. 1.
Visit a few times a year good
A. L.
Nice quality Chinese food. Polite and efficient service from staff. Reasonably priced menu for the West End.
S. L.
Very good attentive staffs, good atmosphere, spacious, nice tasty foods. Had a very good dinner. Reasonable price.
P. G.
Very good quality food, there was so much as part of the set meal we had to take it away with us!
S. L.
Lovely food, friendly staff and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
C. C.
such good prices and portions, efficient service and friendly staff! My go-to place every time I go to Chinatown
M. H.
We had a really good experience here, food was excellent, turned up quickly and although the waiting staff didn't smile very much they were not rude! Excellent value for money from the set menu
K. T.
Ate here based on reviews and was not disappointed, really good food and big portions, we were absolutely stuffed. Would definitely come again
D. K.
Great food, great service. Perfect for groups and really reasonably priced. Can't fault them
T. W.

This Chinese supermarket claims to be London's oldest supplier of oriental foods. I don't know about that, but they do have all sorts of exciting Chinese goods, from noodles and sauces to exotic fresh fruits and vegetables as well as their famous 'wing wing' sausages. They also have in-house butchery and a fishmonger.
C. H.
Yes! Been looking for an alternative to Longdan for when I'm more central than Elephant and Castle or Shoreditch. This place is great. They have absolutely everything you'd need and the prices are totally reasonable.
T. T.
The place is packed in the weekends. The aisles are very narrow and you have to squeeze yourself past other customers so feels quite stressful and isn't conducive to a good shopping experience. The queue to pay is quite long too but it moves quickly.
C. M.
Lovely food. Reasonable prices. Look forward to them opening again after lockdown.
L. T.
In the heart of China town this supermarket has nearly everything you can think of and would be difficult to find elsewhere.
Get place to discover a new favourite snack or to stock up tastes of home or travel.
Good staff and a well organised shop but can get a bit tight at times.
Y. C.
Food is good and service is quick as expected for Chinese restaurants. Got my dim sum fix!
K. C.
Great place for dim sum in Chinatown
N. L.
Great selection of Asian food. You can find here almost anything. There's cooking utensils, fresh veggie & fruit, meat counter and frozen ding dings. (one thing is to check the expiry dates, as noticed freezers full of ice, meaning they don't defrost them and could contain food for longer than able to sell, but I'm not an expert, just been shopping there over 10 years now and greatly satisfied with their stock. In need of more check out's as you cannot shop at hurry.. You will experience a lengthy wait to pay. Small price to pay when it's Central London and seems, priced products properly, affordable. I do love my frozen Siu Mai dumplings. They are to die for. Enjoy with some mango juice in a can, real stuff.
A. Y.
Busy, well-stocked supermarket specialising in ingredients for Chinese cuisine. pricing reasonable. a good place,
S. V.
Awesome supermarket in the heart of Chinatown and a hidden gem for lovers of good meat since it's in a very touristy area, many Londoners may miss it. The selection of Asian food products and a few household items for a good Asian meal makes this place a great location for your s grocery shopping endeavour.
A. S.
Fantastic selection of products - good choice available. Found what I needed straight away. Inexpensive and queue to pay wasn’t too long. Popular with locals and tourists.
R. a.
Good dim sum. Service is better than most Chinese restaurants. Competitive prices.
N. L.
Good dim sum choices, dinner dishes acceptable, medium price range, worth trying
C. D.
Always consistently good food here
A. M.
Very good food and reasonable price and the staff are excellent

An excellent shop to get snacks from and they're not expensive.
A relative gets soy sauce, oyster sauce and ho fan (flat shaped noodle strands) from here but there's a huge variety of Chinese ingredients and produce that it's difficult to decide what to get!
There's a variety of noodles - fresh and pre-packaged; fresh vegetables including pak choi, Chinese cabbage and coriander as well as a variety of fruits; fish and other fresh meats; alcohol for cooking and for drinking; a good variety of biscuits and cakes and various oils and tinned stock.
Always extremely busy and although larger than a shop there's so much in each aisle that it's not easy to move around!
The store used to smell of Durian (a fruit that although smells unusual is very expensive!) as soon as you enter the front entrance.
Very helpful staff are busy working so there's always someone to ask where items are and the service is very good. This store has been around a very long time and over the years 2 or 3 Chinese supermarkets chains have been established around London.

Amazing food really enjoyed portions are huge on the set menu ended up talking some home
H. T.
Every Oriental food you can think of in one place!
S. M.
Plenty of space and an authentic feel. But food was only ok and customer service was average at best. After payment totally ignored by staff when leaving.
A. 7.
Fabulous food at a reasonable price. All dishes tasted excellent, wine v good also. Would recommend.
d. t. t. h.
A nice greeting when we arrived. Well spaced tables and chairs. Menu has lots of pictures and all explained in English as well as Chinese. Fast service. Food was very tasty and plentiful. Good value for money.
Y. C.
Impressive food and brilliant staff. Would recommend to others.
L. S.
One of the few Chinese supermarkets that have their own fresh meat counter and an excellent range of seafood and pork and beef for all recipes. I would have given it 5 stars for the fresh meat counter and range of fresh/frozen/cupboard items, but this is one of the most crowded supermarkets with very narrow aisles, so at times it could be a stressful experience especially around the till area. The smell of raw meat from the meat counter could also be off putting for some - my vegetarian friend was mortified!
N. M.
Fabulous food.. Good service.
Crispy duck and salt n chilli squid to die for 👌
d. b.
Great supermarket in the heart of Soho that carries an extremely wide selection of foods. I don't know a better shop. Always busy but with s good atmosphere.
D. W.
Staff are very attentive and are trying to meet customers’ needs, they are polite and in good manner. My daughter is very impressed with their service. Price is very reasonable among other Chinese restaurants nearby. Food is delicious. One off point is the tables are a bit close together, but possibly most Chinese restaurants settings are like this.
R. 1.
We had a great dim sum lunch here. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would certainly return when I'm next in Chinatown.
S. H.
Yum.. 2 bottles of Lingham's Malaysian Ginger Chilli & Garlic Sauce, gluten free Soy Sauce by Yutaka, 2 kg of Pak Choi & 2 packets of Rice Vermicelli & Rice Noodles. My kitchen is going to be busy today! Allow time for your shopping as Loon Fung are always busy.
V. S.
It has everything you could possibly need. But could get really busy in the evening. Sometimes you might have to queue to pay for more than 10 mins along extremely narrow aisles of products. Staffs however are nice and friendly.
a.
Best and largest selection of Asian products and groceries in London. There are 3 floors dedicated to different countries and cuisines so you know it’s extensive. :)
A. E.
The shop itself isn't very big, but through some warping of space-time it stocks pretty much everything you need for Chinese cooking. That said, because of this, it's probably the most crowded supermarket in Chinatown. Much effort has been made in re-designing the layout of the supermarket since last year, but the long queues still remain, sometimes even stretching towards the sauces, and on one memorable occasion, the frozen goods section and nearly out the door.
Loon Fung has its own butchery counter, and it's probably the best place to get cheap bones for soup stock in central London. A loyalty card programme was also recently launched, and it's probably worth picking up the free card if you go there on a regular basis.
D. H.
Great food and very friendly staff. Would recommend
M. C.
Enjoyed the food and the service. A good value as well.
D. G.
Better than most Asian grocery stores in terms of inventory, but still limited selection of Japanese products. Poor selection of sesame oil, for instance. The meat section stinks something fierce. Prices are cheaper than Tesco but not as cheap as they used to be.
W. C.
good food, good price, excellent service. will go back again.
C. H.
Extremely good and polite service! Especially for a dim sum place, as that usually gets busy and hectic.
Food was also very good, not keen on some of the new recipes/dim sum - but I guess they are trying to keep everything new/updated and not have the recipe become dull and out dated. But still prefer some of the old recipes regardless how much time has passed!
L. H.
Good food, good time. Slightly upscale Chinese.
D. J.
Friendly Chinese restaurant, good value, great food.
d. d.
Excellent food and service
M. L. P.
Excellent food and service but some staff can be rude
A. “. S.
Great. Pleasant staff, attentive service, authentic food
U. P.
Better than it was. Prices have become more competitive than they were. Service .. there is some now.. that's an improvement. Stocks a slightly different range of brands than competitors. We find ourselves in Fung a lot more frequently than a few years ago.
Maybe I'm paranoid but .. the hygiene standard of the butchery could be better.
S. C.
Excellent dim sum, long standing Chinatown establishment. Good prompt service. Reasonably priced.
J. D.
My favourite Chinatown supermarket; great selection from many countries. It's almost always busy, I've been there when the queue was right around the shop but the staff is super efficient so it moved pretty quickly
R. B.
Super food and quick efficient service. Great value for central London.
D. M.
Food is top notch. House white wine was grand. Service is quick. Couldn't recommend it more.
The tofu/bean curd is delicious. 👌
R. J. W. C.
Very nice... food, staff, tables etc...
R. 1.
We had a great dim sum lunch here. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would certainly return when I'm next in Chinatown.
T. S.
Loon Fung tends to be my go to supermarket in Chinatown. Anything I can't get at LF I pick up at one of the others. It has a good range of fresh produce. The aisles really could do with being wider, so you can move around easier.
K. B.
Very popular- expect to queue a while but great selection - much better to buy dumplings from here than your typical supermarket
A. L.
Nice quality Chinese food. Polite and efficient service from staff. Reasonably priced menu for the West End.
d. d.
Excellent food and service
J. Y.
Despite the deceivingly small shop front and cramp isles, this supermarket offers a wide range of ingredients needed for Chinese to even Indian cooking. You'll find all sorts of fresh and dried ingredients such as herbal soups, fresh meat and noodles or alcohol. If you can't find it at Loon Fung, then you probably won't be able to find it in China Town. There is also a restaurant upstairs which is well worth a visit for some afternoon dim sum.
J. W.
Well stocked Oriental super - great for those homesick expat Chinese. Packaged soup bases are a godsend. The exotic veggies dept on the ground floor are worth exploring
B. S.
Decent selection, but higher prices than outside central London. Good meat section. Way too crowded much of the time, try to come midday.
A. T.
Not a bad Cantonese dim sum restaurant. It serves quite a good selection of dim sums ( perhaps a bit more variety than others equivalent ones in China Town ). Each dish's quality is generally good. Pricewise, not particularly expensive. I don't like the restaurant deco though it is neither modern or traditional looking.... just doesn't feel right. Main complain is it's toilet that is so dark, maybe using fewer bulbs to save energy bill?! Or try to hide the fact it is dirty?
V. P.
Had a nice meal after the lockdown. Not too busy and felt comfortable sitting indoor.
u. o.
A very busy and small but this supermarket is one of a kind. All Asian foods and you can have most stuff from here. Good costumer service as well....
R. N.
I've been here twice for dimsum and enjoyed my experience. Going again soon. The service is excellent. Friendly and warm staff who are helpful.
A. S.
Great selection and wide variety of products. It is usually a bit crowded so I would recommend visiting in the morning or before closing time.
M. “. T.
One of a few Chinese supermarkets in the area, Loon Fung is generally better for fresh foods, having a large butchers counter stacked with beef, pork, and delicacies like chicken hearts. Others are better for dried, frozen or snacks though, as their selection here is pretty small.
J. P.
Traditional Chinese restaurant - the proper stuff, not like your local take away👍🏾
T. A.
I've been coming here for years and always enjoy the food and service.
I.
This is the best Chinese food I have ever tried. Try the dimsum menu. It may be a little pricey but definitely worth it
J. J.
Quality of the food is consistently good. Few vegetable dishes but there a number of vegetarian dishes. Environment and crockery are mediocre but having visited a number of other restaurants in the area, I keep coming back.
k. k.
Good spot for dim sum!
J. Y.
Despite the deceivingly small shop front and cramp isles, this supermarket offers a wide range of ingredients needed for Chinese to even Indian cooking. You'll find all sorts of fresh and dried ingredients such as herbal soups, fresh meat …
E. A.
For years now this has been my go-to supermarket for Chinese and Asian food - fresh, frozen, dry - and always carry a large selection of items...
E. W.
brilliant service...always welcomed warmly....great food and a wonderful place to bring family. Our toddler loves it!
E. C.
Great selections of product but narrow aisles made it extremely crowded. Only one person’s width.
H. S. Y.
The largest Chinese supermarket in London China Town. There is even a butcher within this store. Be aware that it also means the smell in this store may not be pleasant. the price is reasonable and customary. You can find almost all the ingredients you need for preparing your Chinese cooking.
C. F.
The food was OK I have had better and the portions were a bit small. They have a good atmosphere for dinner and good for chatting and have a good time with friends and family. Round tables and high back chairs.
As we had a large group they forgot to get a few dishes and when we asked they said they had made the wrong dishes and were remaking what we asked for.
s. Z.
Best yumcha in London I've tried
N. G.
I went there for a Christmas party. The food was good. We had a private room with karaoke. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall I enjoyed it and would return.
C. L.
Helpful and friendly service. Grrat tasty food and large varieties to suit all taste.
C. B.
just the best food and service..worth going up the stairs
M. T.
Well priced, authentic service (!), Proper Hongkong taste. It's good. Big menu and always busy - book if you want to come at peak time
T. S.
Loon Fung tends to be my go to supermarket in Chinatown. Anything I can't get at LF I pick up at one of the others. It has a good range of fresh produce. The aisles really could do with being wider, so you can move around easier.
M. W.
BEST dim sum in Chinatown! Even better than most of the restaurants in Hong
Kong. Love it!
J. Y.
gotta hand it to this place, with a storefront that can barely fit 40 people there was about 20 people in line at any time. the selection of produce is defintely cheapter and fresher than other places but its no `US sized asian food store.
but it serves its purpose right? fresh asian food and good prices. can't complain
C.
Great dim sum and service as always. A bit crowded but that's expected in Chinatown!
S. W.
We usually get fried tofu, fresh tofu, Enoki mushroom, Chinese leaves, dried Beancurd, Korea hot pepper chilli paste, Nagaimo root(Wai Shan), fresh pork ribs packed, dried seaweed, Fresh durian packed...etc.
Here sells fresh meat and seafood too.
Great and fast check out service. Very Helpful staff.
I registered the reward card to get 1p per point.
Y. F.
Great to have good Chinese food. Good taste
D. S.
Fabulous food, best in Chinatown in my opinion!
B. K.
Taste dishes, authentic, good service. But the overall hygiene of the eating area could be better, e.g. seats, carpets, toilets, stairs, etc
T. V. H.
Good selection of foods divided into countries. Great frozen section and good service. A little expensive compared to other supermarkets
J. W.
Well stocked Oriental super - great for those homesick expat Chinese. Packaged soup bases are a godsend. The exotic veggies dept on the ground floor are worth exploring
B. O.
Good food and good service, the set menus offer a good choice of dishes at reasonable prices for central London, or there are some more exotic options on the a la carte.
M. T.
A random find due to a friend knowing London very well. This is a large place but easily missed. If you have a chance use it, the food is excellent.
c. m.
Yeah alright place, foods ok, staff do the basics. Not a place that screams wow
K.
Returning customer, great customer service and quick!
Yummy food and value for money.
Covid safe.
K. B.
Very popular- expect to queue a while but great selection - much better to buy dumplings from here than your typical supermarket
R. S.
After all these years I wonder if they're owned by the same people.
Generally more squeezy, but prices are strangely 5-10% less than across the street!! Yes. For the same soy sauce or frozen dumpling, it'll cost less. So just squeeze abit, and know what you want.
B. B.
Great restaurant, reasonably priced. Well worth a visit
A. C.
I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, huge selection of Chinese food, vegetables and drinks fresh fish and meat, and some kitchen ware too. They now also stock some Japanese, korean, Malaysian and other oriental foods.
T. R.
Excellent service and fabulous dishes! Highly recommended!
M. D. P.
Great variety of fresh & packaged Chinese ingredients, despite always being super busy, the staff are always smiling & incredibly quick to serve you. Always loved this place, make sure to pick up a loyalty card!
B. S.
Decent selection, but higher prices than outside central London. Good meat section. Way too crowded much of the time, try to come midday.
C. B.
Great Chinese supermarket. Lots of choice at good prices.
D.
Very large selection of Chinese goods. However, at peak times, this little store becomes so packed it is difficult to move around especially when the isles only fit about 1 person.
M. C.
Great service. Great food...very friendly
R. M.
Absolutely gorgeous food! Clean, food is super tasty. Staff are friendly! Defo come and visit! Best place in China town
B.
Not too expensive, service and surroundings and food was ok
J. L.
Fresh dim sum. Really quick services and packed with people. Prepare to wait for a while for a table and food.
B. E.
Great Chinese food. Loads of great dishes to pick from.
A. L.
Malaysians take heart! If you're missing Bah Kut Teh, you can find the A1 Bah Kut Teh spices here. A1 is a superb brand, a combination of dried roots and a herbal powder. They retail for GBP3.80 each and well worth it. You can also find the Ibumie Har Mee instant noodles here, a rarity amongst the normal Indomee and Mama brands that are more common. Amazingly they also stock Cheong Chan Cooking Caramel (the thick dark sauce great for claypot chicken and marinades), retailing for GBP2.50 and sometimes on sale at GBP1.50. Wish they also stocked Cincalok, but they don't!
H. T.
Good food ,, staff very friendly
C. N.
Good, tasty, sizeable portions of food and loved the seaweed. Sadly, the food that was served was mostly lukewarm. A little warmth would have made the food taste even better.
C. S.
Superb Chinese food. We had a set menu (3 courses) and every dish was delicious and plentiful.
W. H.
Food are fresh, tasty and attractive, but the waitress, who served us, lack some polite gesture. It costed 20 pounds per head excluding tax and service charge when we ordered set menu. Fair price for large amount of food.
N. N.
Good range of Oriental products, at a competitive price.
Would recommend.
L. L.
Sells a good variety of mainly chinese products/produce, but they also have other asian foods; Korean, Japnese and Thai. It is quite cramped for space, so avoid busy times.
J. B.
Friendly service and decent dim sum in Chinatown.
J. K.
Really, really reasonably priced and a fab selection. Great place to get different tofu, chilli sauces, noodles, miso and interesting ingredients - like sesame sauces
m. B.
More than enough quality food for everyone. Well done on looking after all of us in Rogers party .
n. s.
Busy restaurant with delicious food which is served pretty fast.
w. g.
Great food and friendly staff.
J. d. C.
It was my first visit to ChinaTown in London and we decided to give this place a try for a Chinese course meal. The interiors of the place are alright, but it was very loud and noisy. The food was excellent! We relished the dishes put before us. But had a bad experience with the waiters as they were very rude, especially the waiter named "Kein". It was our first time there so we decided to try only two dishes to check them out. And he gives us a mocking laugh and later when we order for more 'rolls his eyes at us'. If I ever visit the restaurant again it'll be only for the tasty food. We tried the Marinated Jellyfish, the Vietnamese spring rolls, the prawn and bacon dumplings and some steamed Momo's.
P. L.
very good environment and friendly service.
M. W.
A popular place for dim sum, in nice and bright surroundings. Can get awfully busy on the weekends, but the service is usually quick despite of this. Good range of dim sum available so can find the usual favourites along with a few others that are worth trying if you're adventurous!
P. S.
Very wide selection on South East Asian groceries including fruit, veggies, meats and some alcohol. I shop there regularly. Recommended.
s. w.
Fantastic dim sum lunch. Staff excellent despite it being busy on arrival.
Y. C.
Enjoyed the Dim Sum. Staffs are great and friendly.
S. M.
My favourite Chinese they must have moved the chef from harbour city ( they have merged) as the food is as good as ever
R. T.
Fantastic service and some of the best Chinese food in London.
J. K.
Reasonable food and price
Good service
A. B.
They have the best dim sum in town!
A. H.
Great array of Asian products. Reminds me of living in Asia whenever I visit this place.
r. r.
Been to the place a couple of weeks ago . The dim sum were the best so far I have tried in China town since the last 20 + years !!!!
Food was excellent and the service was really friendly and customer focused . They step into suggest the right portion to order so we do not waste any food . Mixed fried rice was really good . One nice thing I noticed , that the manager himself goes to each and every table for feedback and if something is not right upto your taste he will change it without any fuss
I am not going anywhere else now :-)
E. W.
Meh... if you're looking for a delicious selection of dim sum after 5pm, keep walking. This place serves OK dim sum. We also ordered beef ho fun and it was not overly tasty - maybe even a little bland. I would revisit during the daytime to test the full dim sum offering before I completely write this place off
H. F.
Such friendly staff. Give them your support in these terrible times.
S. H.
Not bad resteraunt, clean and good food.
V. V.
Mentally overcrowded and extremely cramped so unless you arrive at a quiet time, don't bother. Good fresh vegetable selection, however.
B.
Lots of things here and they accept Apple Pay or contactless unlike the other Asian supermarkets in Chinatown but the aisles are very narrow and gets packed during the evening
J. S.
Busy as a they had a funtion on but good service and good food and plenty of it
S. G.
The dimsum is superb quality and value. I don't think you will find better cuisine for the price anywhere in London
Authentic Cantonese restaurant - just like being back in Hong Kong - from the food, to the fast, no-nonsense service, to the mainly Chinese custom (another good sign I guess).
Looking forward to our next visit already!
C. G. D. S.
Great selection, can pretty much find any Asian foods here. The isles are quite narrow and busy so try not to arrive with a big backpack on
V. L.
Very tasty selection of Chinese food
P. S.
Great food and good service.
L. M.
price is reasonable for tim sum, but some items is very salty fish cake
B. N.
Food is superb beer was opened at the table as duck. was shredded at the table well worth a visit especially if your on a time limit
J. P.
👍
C. G.
I've been to 3 Asian supermarkets in China town and I think this one is the best. A great selection of noodles, frozen dumplings and alcohol.
T. H.
👌
D. P.
I would love if I could talk to someone in the market to check some receipt tips! Really good to find everything you need for a Chinese dish.
S. M.
Food is great, but take care with the "offered" but shamelessly overpriced jasmine tea!
m. b.
Whenever I need to stock up on my Chinese food then I go here. The staff are always very polite and helpful
a. s.
My best Chinese food in China town. Try Hefen (rice noodles with beef), hot an sour soup, aromatic duck (Hong Kong style)
J. L.
We were hesitant to come here because of some of the reviews. We thought we had nothing to lose to try it out since my partner is picky and I'm an American who misses beef that doesn't taste off.
I don't know what establishment the negative reviewers went to, because it's not this one. It's probably one of the best meals we have had and will have in London. The service was nice and prompt. It's clear, like in most (if not all)London establishments, that you will pay 12.5% in service.
Do yourself a favor and dine here.
A. J.
Good food, reasonable prices
M. L.
Huge variety of supplies. Strongly recommend their mooncakes, top quality and cheapest in Chinatown!
J. J.
Outstanding service and the food is exceptional
L. J.
Authentic cuisine and friendly staff.
D. A.
Got loads of nice produce and veg at very good prices and its in the best area for Asian food dumplings noodles etc..and most are busy.
C. R.
Nice place in China Town, but the duck was not tasty. Expensive!
M. W.
This place is not in the same league as See Woo and it’s pricier as well.
P. G.
It's a small place and always crowded, but somehow they manage to have variety of things, good prices and fast service. Loved it, would come back again!
s. d.
Lovely food reasonable prices
k. v.
A standard Chinese restaurant, nothing special or bad either
A. L.
Good supermarket but small space can get really crowded it smells bad and be aware of pickpockets in the shop and on the town.
B. B.
Best frikkin chinese food ever
D. F.
Very good Chinese food ( Hong Kong style ) really worth having a try. Not your typical tourist trap
D. W.
One stop shop for all your Chinese groceries. But it's become a maze with narrow aisles and packed to the brim with shoppers so not really convenient for a large shopping trip with full shopping baskets.
V. P.
Good selection of Asian groceries. There's also a Chinese butcher which is hard to come by in London.
G. S.
Well stocked oriental supermarket. Fresh meat, fish and a a good variety of veg all reasonably priced.
W. T.
Excellent food!
D. L.
Delicious event lunch eg BBQ pork and fried duck
A. H.
Superb fresh Dimsum with a friendly service.
B. C.
It's filled with Asian goodies of all kinds. It's also small and cramped inside.
T. L.
Cheap prices if you can find what you need. Narrow halls though so make a shopping list beforehand
r. r.
I have been going to chinatown for over 25 years and the food and supermarkets are one of the best in the west.
I. M.
Nice selection and prices.
Still, I have had an issue paying with my non-UK credit card, like being triple charged (they promised it'll be reversed)
W. T.
Great Chinese supermarket, lots of food and ingredients found here, but always busy as very popular
j. c.
very nice food, good menu
B.
My favourite Chinese supermarket
But is to expensive 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🙈🙈🙈😱😱😱
L. C.
Tasty food, quick service.
M. W.
Varieties of South East Asian food. Fair price and good service.
C. J.
Great dim sun, friendly staff and colorful clientele
S. G. H.
Supermarket is great but I don't give it 5 stars because they don't accept American Express
J. B.
Excellent service and very good value
C. P.
Chinese food not so cooked as in european style
C. D.
Good place to buy chinese style foods that u cant get anywhere else. Does get a little hard to move around sometimes
C. M.
Nice food
A. M. D. O.
Always busy but really good selection of Asian groceries!
H. K.
Very nice food and well decorated
P. P.
Best place to have sumptuous Chinese meal in London
J. K. E.
Excellent dim sum, Xiao Long Bao particularly good. Also roasted meats. Friendly service.
L. D.
Another great, classic Chinatown establishment. I'll be back
d. c.
Yummy. Better than most round here
K.
Excellent place for Chinese and oriental foods
M. C.
One of the few places that does the duck pancakes. Took the opportunity to put some in my freezer as they are a hit with the family.
T. K.
Very cramped. Feels like Asia again. Excellent! Although in this case not covid safe :(
Y. H.
Rarher nice chinese. Chinatown is the place to go.
L. M.
Great variety and quality. Very reasonable prices given central location
P. S.
Sells a good range of Asian foods etc but definately more targeted towards tourists than locals
T. M.
Was really lovely very down to earth not fancy by any means but the food was amazing choice wide and not expensive at all
M. S.
Good service, and the food
A. M. (. p.
Environment is bright and comfortable. Many kind of dim sum. Foods are up to requirement.
A. S.
Retailing humble Chinese foodstuffs, New Loon Moon's Gerrard street store has expanded exponentially since it opened over 40 years...
J. T.
Traditional Chinese dim sum as from Hong Kong. Excellent facilities with baby change on the first level
S. M.
First visit, great selection of food
T. C.
If you are stuck in the area and need to visit a Chinese supermarket this is a good place to visit but realistically you are probably better off visiting one further out of the city.
D. H.
Great for Chinese food supplies but beware there is que from hell when you want to pay for your goods.
R. W.
Great food and great service
M. T.
Food is really good
R. R.
A good selection of Chinese food and ingredients. Can be long queues at checkout.
A. T.
Good dimsum, well priced. I like to eat lots of fat and glutinous things but no carbohydrates and what real stood out here was the slow-cooked beef tendon in five spice. 5 dimsum dishes and tea for less than 20 pounds is a great bargain. Many Chinese eating here so always a good sign. I will go again.
C.
Always packed, never able to find anyone to help you or answer questions. But it has a ton of products and the prices are very reasonable.
M. N.
One of my favourite Asian markets. It does need some refurbishment though. Always very busy.
F. H.
Decent selection of essential Asian ingredients and snacks. It is, however, really crammed inside
C. M.
Good dimsum, the service is a little bit poor sometimes
M. S.
Lots of people, especially in weekends. Have to say cashiers are really efficient, will go buy things again
G. L.
It's a nice place to shop some oriental food, but it's always crowded and sometimes it smells so horrible.
A. T.
Not a bad Cantonese dim sum restaurant. It serves quite a good selection of dim sums ( perhaps a bit more variety than others equivalent ones in China Town ). Each dish's quality is generally good. Pricewise, not particularly expensive. I …
I. _.
A wide range of Asian food, ingredients, and goods. Very cramped for the amount of people visiting daily, very crowded in the weekend.
J. B.
Superb for all things Asian and more besides. Very busy and isles narrow so not the place for small children or buggies!
M. G.
Good food and service
k. n.
Tasty fooodds! Asian supermarket nearby
K. .. F.
Authentic dim sum place, great for group innings
J. P.
Awesome shop! They have stuff you really can’t find anywhere else in London!
C. H.
Very authentic and loads of choice. I love coming here for fresh food (vegetables, meats, fish).
S. L.
Good Dim Sum, nice duck
N. R.
Just fantastic shopping, so many great smells, just go and try something new
A. F.
A favourite Chinese restaurant
K. S. A.
Probably the most well known Asian supermarket in London as they carry products from all over Asia
S. P.
I think this restaurant is the best by far in Chinatown. As a Londoner, this is my go-to when in the area. The food is just delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful. Love the gold dragon against the red background inside and the carpets are so cute. My favourite dishes as a vegetarian/pesciterian are marinated jellyfish and the salt and chilli battered king prawns. The waiters are so friendly and the service is amazing. I have been to a lot of restaurants around the world, among them Burg Al Arab, Claridges, Blue Bird and Shangri-La restaurants. I'm not saying that New Loon Fung is on that level. But it is definitely the best in the area, as a casual restaurant.
S. W.
The food was very nice
E. G.
Good authentic Cantonese food
W. M.
Has a lot of authentic Chinese necessities you can't get.
A. F.
All about Dim Sums! The best part? The price.
s. m.
Good Oriental grocery , fast lines and they have Durian !
A. U.
I LOVE LOON FUNG
THEY ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO SERVE YOU AND HAVE A HUGE VARIETY OF PRODUCTS
D. K.
Very enjoyable meal
M. T.
A great variety of Asian groceries. Be aware of long queue.
F. M.
Amazing asian supermarket! Where you can find many things! Love it.
e.
Very good
T. F.
Superb Chinese supermarket selling everything possible from fresh eels to dried mushrooms.
