Reviews of Park Chinois
D. D.
OK restaurant, nothing special, bad service.
Would not necessarily visit again.
I'll start with the positives:
This is a nice Chinese cuisine restaurant.
The decoration is interesting and the band they had was really good.
We also all enjoyed the food we got.
But:
The food although it was good, it was not exceptional considering the prices.
You had to pay £10 each for the Band extra, I would prefer it if they had a set amount per table to pay for the band.
The cocktails were good.
The service:
Not good.
In the beginning our waiter was helpful but after the starters the service started to get worse.
We wanted toorder water for the table but had to really try to get attention from a waiter and then they forgot us so we had to remind thm to bring us some water. And generally the stuff was not very attentive. After we had finished our main course the waiters cleaned up our table and then basically left us alone. They didn't come to ask if we need anything else and they didn't offer us Dessert. We wanted to order dessert and ask the waiters for a Menu. They had again forgotten us. We asked literally 4 times for it and then were handed out the menus. By that time though we got really bored and we were also frustrated so we just payed the bill and left.

First up, the restaurant strikes you with its dark red and plush interiors. There was a live performance when we arrived for Saturday lunch. The food is a pan-Asian offering, but we stuck to Chinese fare. The veg schezwan dumpling was the highlight of the meal, but we really enjoyed the crab puff and the pork ribs as well. This is an expensive affair, but felt like we were getting value for money. I will return at some point of time to try out the rest of the menu!

A wonderfully unique dining experience, food was standard, but the vibe was wonderful and has overshadowed the quality of the food. Good menu with a variety of exquisite dishes. Good service as well, taking great care to explain the whole menu, giving suggestions and making sure we were well taken care of. Expensive, but you don't really get the same experience anywhere else.
P. J.
I went there on the night that has live singing which made the exquisite food tasted even better. Spectacular decoration both ground and underground level. The roast duck was very tasty and tender. Loved every dishes especially the black pepper beef and beautiful desserts.
A. S.
Amazing experience, atmosphere is on fire. Amazing acts with great service. The food wasn't the best, a few dishes that do have great flavours with some not so good.
S. E.
Delightful evening out 🦚 Live music 🎼 opulent interior, silver service with a smile and delectable elevated Chinese dishes. The music was a double bass, piano and a most talented and enchanting young singer 💃🏽 Gorgeous renditions of old classic crooning. The concept appears to be 1920's London Speakeasy come gilded orient mystique. It's quite posh but relaxed. Very pricey but lovely for a treat. I was there on a Monday so no burlesque and fantasy - just a lovely evening out. The sweet & sour pork was a triumph in simplicity, exquisite ingredients and balance. The steamed bass, sadly, set us back over £50 but had a sauce that was a little cloying. The natural flavour of the flesh was sadly lost. Too much mirin maybe?
V. T.
Nice ambience, live jazz is good - not too loud, not too soft. Apart from that nothing extraordinary or outstanding. But petty on behalf of the restaurant to have charge entertainment cover charge of £10 per head, given the high prices. If you can manage to get the attention of the server to take the order then service of food on the table is fast. We struggled to get his attention for the first 33 mins. We even got the menu when we asked for it after being seated for 10-12 mins.
Food is okay. Service below average. Still a busy place, make reservations in advance. Personally cannot understand the hype.

Park Chinois is my absolute favourite Chinese restaurant in Central London and believe me, I have been to a lot! The interior makes you feel like you are part of a movie set but in the most classy way and the live entertainment just makes this place so so so special!! They also have a great selection of food for vegetarians and I would eat here every day if I could! 10000* from me
P. R. Z.
Amazing ! I have to say, it's very expensive, but the food is delicious and the portions are bigger.
There are a lot of food dishes to enjoy so the Chinese food is not the only strong point of this restauran. The decorations and his atmosphere are beautiful and relaxing.
I have the fortune of enjoy a wonderful performance while I was eating an excellent ice cream.
S. M.
A bit pricey but overall good experience. The food was nice (I especially recommend their apple tart for dessert), the service excellent and there also was a singer in the evening creating a nice Cody ambiance. Just be prepared for the bill at the end 😂. They also have an additional cover charge per person on top of the 15% service fee.

Pricey but delicious asian food. Beautiful decor with a small bar. We went there on Sunday for lunch with live music three piece band
A.
Oh boy! Everything from the appetizers to the desserts and all the wagyu beef and vegetables in between were average or below average. The food was either very sweet or bland. Mostly it was bland and average. Even if the food was cheap, I'd give it 3 stars. If I were to adjust for the astronomical cost, I'd give it 2 stars! Service was good, not amazing. Ambiance and decor were very nice, including live music. But it's the food we went for, and the food wasn't good.
K. A.
Great atmosphere, really lively and fun , yet not too loud that you cant talk.
The service and food where truly delightful especially the famous duck.
R. C.
If you're looking for a not so common restaurant bar in London, this place could be a very good choice. Sensual performances of a diverse genres in a very sophisticated way is something that really worth it to appreciate specially in the amazing and irreverent atmosphere of this bar. Service is wonderful, performances are so great, atmosphere unique, posh people and nice DJ.
N. S.
I booked the Saturday Afternoon Soirée in the downstairs area of Park Chinois for a romantic date for my husband’s birthday and this place certainly delivered! The service was timely and impeccable and the entertainers were extremely talented. Having performed in shows myself I was impressed with the creative use of lighting in the small space and how organised the staff were with ensuring each act was looked after and ran on time. I absolutely loved the maximalist decor and plush furnishings which really added to the luxury experience. The DJ was playing chill out ethnic lounge music, which created a really relaxed atmosphere. The food and drinks were of course very high quality. We could not fault it. Overall it was extremely expensive, but I think it was worth the great memories we now have. The whole experience was just class! Hats off to the people who created and manage this restaurant. My husband is already talking about arranging a gentleman’s night out there with his friends.
F. W.
really amazing duck and the puddings are
so delicate and fragrant and light really amazing a honey evening of sweet delights
T. S.
Visit this place more for the unique ambience. It is so much more than just a restaurant that serves French Chinese fusion cuisine. The interior is lavish but somehow elegant and the dinner shows are extraordinary. Add to that a lovely nightclub scene and a world class bar and you have Park Chinois.
P. K.
Amazing ambience and what a treat it was to hear the live entertainment.
Food overall was great, as a vegetarian I would have expected slightly more options, however there were enough for me to go away happy.
We were treated extremely well by the staff as they gave us a royal feel.
A place you can definitely spend a good few hours with good company.
I definitely recommend the drinks as they were top notch!
C. F.
Really nice cocktails and delicious food!
The bartenders on the lower floor are the best!
N. M.
Excellent drinks, food, vibe and ambiance. The brunch deal is great - plenty of food and plenty of drinks. I loved the dimsum platters and the Hakka paneer. The dessert was decadent and delicious, highly recommend the dark chocolate cake. Service was really good, and they did an excellent job of topping up our champagne without prompting. All in all, an amazing dining experience, and I will definitely be back!
C. C.
Beautiful experience. There was a live band and singer that made the experience that much more special. I am not sure if they have entertainment every night. I went on a Sunday evening
R. S.
Very expensive!!! With the exception of the truffle dish- which is excellent - the food here is good yet only marginally better than some of the excellent and far less expensive dim sum restaurants in Soho. Lunch is a decent value if you go for the set menu. The restaurant and the service, however, are exceptional. The restaurant interior decor is beautiful.
Y. L.
The ambiance and decoration of this restaurant is gorgeous and modern. All dishes are delicate and taste really nice and authentic. The crab soup is bit sweet than expected, but I will still give five-star experience.
During the lunch time they also arranged Chinese Lion Dance, probably due to Chinese Spring Festival.
C. K.
Lovely, superb atmosphere & great food!
Definitely coming back!
We stayed here over lunch - unfortunately there was no live show at that time but we still enjoyed it very much.
M. Y. s.
Had dim sum, was very well executed especially the Cheong fun and the sichuan wontons. I really like their xo carrot cake which is superior to any I’ve had in Asia.
Lost one star due to haughty serving staff (east european lady) who was quite dismissive when we asked for a tea water refill. Not sure why but really quite rude for a place like this.
Will be back again though.
Y. L.
No idea how many times I have already visited Park Chinois. Old Shanghai style decor likes time machine, it brings you back to 1930s.
Undoubtedly, they are serving the best dim sum and Peaking duck in London.
And I really like their meat and vegetables dishes. I believed that they are using the best quality ingredients.Fusion Chinese cuisine is quite difficult to handle it but Park Chinois balance it well. Only thing I am worrying is there are too many choices and limited stomach space, easily to get lost in the menu. And their night entertaining performance is fantastic. If I am earning more, I do love to visit Park Chinois always.
D. K.
Delicious Chinese food? Check. Amazing atmosphere and great mild cabbaret performances? Check. Romantic outing? Check, check.
The duck is highly recommended
S. S.
Will I go back? Yes....food was absolutely amazing.....as in delicious! Entertainment was fab. The only thing that let this place down was the staff. Just felt disappointed with the service....when you're paying £500 for a dinner for two people it would be nice if the staff didn't act like they were doing US the favor. No warmth....was hard to get the waiters attention....even on entry there was no great customer service to make you feel excited to be there....staff can really make or break a business....hopefully it was a one off because after my next try if its the same I won't try a third time round.
B. G.
One of my favorite restaurants in London. The Peking duck is a 48 hour pre-order and very worth having. The service is often an impressive mix of opulent and unfriendly. Cocktails are 10/10. The vegetable dishes are always a hit.
r. m.
I would just like to thank Rita Rosa and her magnificent team - we had an amazing night at Park Chinois. The food and live show was spectacular!!! I would recommend this london to venue as a must go location.
S. W.
We had a grate time.
Definitely come also for the show, so after 20. Sit downstairs. Show starts at 20:30.
Come with a few ppl so you can share dishes. Prices are high, but worth it. Service is top informed and on you.
Reservation needed.

Tried out various dishes, lots of truffle which I loved! The hedgehog charcoaled pork bun was one of my faviourites. The har gou wasn’t anything special though. Overall ambiance was abit dark and the music was abit loud.
c. o.
My fav duck restaurant above 1930s style restaurant below Egyptian style restaurant best for evening again not been since pandemic
V. T.
Hottest new place in town. Crazy decor. Two floors. Both have jazz singers the lower one is a nightclub on the weekend. Food is innovative with twists. Good service.
N. R.
Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere- draped walls, sophisticated, staff was professional and communicative. The dumplings were excellent- fresh and flavorful. The duck salad- what?! Insane. Honestly, there wasn’t anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Not sure if being there for a small corporate event had anything to do with it, but I’ll dream of this place for some time. Downstairs bar and entertainment was on. Beautiful people, gorgeous cocktails. Will definitely return.
N.
It's not sensational but it was enjoyable. It's expensive but the waiters were fantastic. The entertainment was not bad not sure it's worth £10 extra surcharge. The food on the whole was delicious , it's very rich so don't over order.
F. C. M.
We came here for an Anniversary dinner and had a slightly mixed experience. The main selling point of the place is the presence of live music during your meal, inspired by the Shanghai clubs of old. This was clearly the best aspect of the night. We first enjoyed an instrumental set by the band (Four Clouds of Joy - piano, drums, double bass, violin), and then a couple of very nice sets by Diva Amy with the band. It does make it a special experience. Other elements were mixed - not all tables have a good view of the band. If that's important to you, request a suitably located table. We liked a table further away from the band but which had side by side seating for the two of us, giving us both a view. The food itself was not hugely remarkable. The egg rice was similar to the standard you could get from a humble restaurant like Gold Mine on Bayswater - nice but probably not what they were going for! We had that with Japanese aubergine and tofu (the tofu was nice, the aubergine pretty tasteless). The Park Carbonara was visually stunning and reasonably tasty. Service was hit and miss - our main waiter, Alex, was very friendly, but others were less so. It feels like the place had a surplus of waiters, many of which were not too sure what to do. The bathrooms are worth a visit - seriously opulent decor.

Very expensive menu and wine list and then charged 15% service on top. Food didn’t live up to the prices charged; the black cod was a particular lowlight, although dim sum, as expected in a Yau restaurant, were very good. For a 2 course £42 lunch you get 4 pieces of dim sum, about 6 bite-sized pieces of duck and some noodles. The opulent room and attentive service helped soften the blow of the bill.
E. A.
We have welcomed very warmly and shown a table just right next to the restrooms. We sat down for a while but we didn't enjoy it. My friend went back to the host asked for another table. They gave us one of the best tables right in-front of the live jazz band. The staff was very professional. This is how a restaurant should serve. Cocktails were very good and I had the best roasted duck. I can't wait to be back!
M. M.
The service was exceptional! The food was Devine!
K. F.
We had a wonderful experience here. Unexpected performances, a wonderful location and table, great food and drinks and outstanding service.
Recommended!

Where do I start? The service at the door was very friendly and welcoming, the staff are very lovely and professional. We went down to the bar whilst we waited for our table which didn’t take too long. The ambience was incredible, beautifully decorated place and a lot of quality was put into this incredible place! It was very “picture perfect!”. The food was absolutely astonishing! I could not fault it in the slightest, probably the best I’ve ever had and that speaks volumes as I dine out a lot. The entertainment was incredible, very talented performers and really set the overall atmosphere for the restaurant to a very high standard. The service was fantastic, our waiter was very attentive and efficient. Overall, this place is worth every penny! Highly recommend for an incredible night of delicious food & specular entertainment.
A.
I love it when restaurants keep their toilets clean.
Their toilets room was gorgeous and clean.
We ordered Peking duck which was over £90 (I just wish they had a half size). Waited one hour for the duck as we didn't preorder before coming here. However, we enjoyed some dim sum and vegetables dish while waiting, which were pretty good. They had a lot of different kind of spice and delicate flavor.
I really liked Peking duck as well but I'll order more dim sum and different types of dishes next time.
D. N.
Beautiful place, delicious food, nice staff and live music. However the crowd the restaurant attracts can be quite pretentious.
E. M.
Simply amazing experience. The duck was simply brilliant. The recommended wine needed a bit more time to breathe but that was more our fault as we didn't have the patience. The entertainment is brilliant fun and if you are bold enough, you can join in the dancing at the end. Tough to get a booking but you can understand why once you do manage to secure one.
S. P.
Food is good but one thing I don't like here is they charged money for music. And prices is so up high than others luxury restaurant
C. C.
Had a fabulously glamorous evening here! The food was exquisite! The music sublime! We loved our Maitre'd Georgio ❤
M. L.
Went to Park Chinois for my wife's birthday lunch today and it was exceptional. Some of the best food I've ever eaten, let alone the best Chinese food. The atmosphere was good and the staff were excellent - attentive from the moment we arrived. Good selection of wines and champagne to go with the amazing food. We will definitely be going back for dinner some time soon
M. Y.
Fantastic Brunch,
Had a wonderful brunch here on Saturday, food was amazing and the service was very attentive. At the price I thought it was well worth the experience.
J. S.
It’s a cool place for dining and a show but gets bit expensive for what you get at night especially if you get a bad table.
J. J.
Amazing restaurant, super glamorous decor, excellent service, the most delicious Chinese food in London, love everything about this restaurant is definitely top notch
C. H.
Really unique restaurant - we're huge Alan Yau fans so was really looking forward to trying this. Innovative Chinese, great setting and the jazz band was superb.
Y. Z.
amazing vibes and really high standard food. portions are a bit small but nevertheless one of the top chinese restaurant in london
巫.
Over-priced food, nice service, the atmosphere isn’t good as expected. But warm apple tart is amazing!
G. S. W.
This restaurant is on my romantic guide to London. Along with an in depth review at blog "Gone Sun Where".
A. R.
This place has a lovely 1930s decor serving maybe the best Chinese food I’ve had in London. The Wagyu Beef Gyozas are insanely good!
P. P.
In the ongoing battle for the unofficial title of London’s most decadent restaurant, Park Chinois is up there. It opened in 2015 on Berkeley Street, surrounded by swanky neighbours (Nobu, Hakkasan Mayfair, Benares, Sexy Fish), and became an instant hit with Mayfair’s glittery jet set. The bar is the first port of call, lined with red-velvet stools and manned by handsome mixologists in tuxedos. In the dimly lit dining room, Salon de Chine, the walls are covered in thick swathes of red and gold silk and, in the evening, a jazz band sets up right in the middle of the tables. The tinkling piano and glamorous singer make the whole experience feel like you’re on an impossibly smart Twenties train journey where a murder could, at any point, take place. We suspect, though, the music also helps draw in Park Chinois’s long list of famous regulars – it’s hard to eavesdrop through supper over the sound of a jazz quartet. Downstairs, the members’ club atmosphere is taken a step further in Club Chinois, where each evening live dancers and gymnasts perform every few minutes.
FOOD
Dim Sum is the obvious place to start on the enormous, Chinese-inspired menu – the dim-sum platter has impeccably made, paper-thin dumplings filled with scallop, truffle or prawn. Beef ribs have been tea-smoked to give an earthy flavour and a mountain of salt and pepper squid is super crisp. The mains read like a shopping list of expensive ingredients: Wagyu rib-eye is stir-fried with Wagyu salami, roast duck is topped with Champagne and orange sauce and King Crab comes with 10-year-old wine. But we also like the simple-by-comparison sweet-and-sour Ibérico pork, which is sticky and has layers of contrasting flavours. A side of duck-fried rice is a must-order, while the Park carbonara is an Asian take on the Italian classic, made with udon noodles and added sea urchin. Pudding has to be the rich 85 per-cent chocolate fondant, served with glossy Rémy Martin sauce and topped with a gold leaf.
D.
Opulent surroundings that help to create a great atmosphere. Decent live jazz band. Drinks menu is extensive. Food is rather mediocre.
R. D.
Nice restaurant, good ambience and great service. Would recommend for a special evening out or celebration.
A. B.
Amazing experience. Beautiful food and great entertainment.
M. M.
Best lockdown take away meal I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients has really impressed, everything was cooked go perfection. The take away boxes were a work of art - thank you for the amazing dinner. Will certainly try the dine-in when restaurants reopen!
K. M.
Superb roast duck. Needs to be ordered in advance. Good service. Pretty tacky entertainment, though.
S. A.
Very cosy place, amazing service. I was just having drinks, u can also eat there. Seems very nice place.
C. W.
Dim sum was amazing, makes you feel special dining in such opulent setting.
Z. L.
The food was great - tasty, interesting and well presented
The cocktails were very well made by a very friendly bar tender but at £18-20 they seem pricey even for high end Central London cocktails
The staff were friendly but not hugely attentive
The live music was not too loud even sitting close, this was pleasant if not a little ruined by the £5 charge at the end which feels unnecessary on a c. £270 bill for 2
One for special occasions with the decor and music but there is a reason it doesn't have a michelin star yet
U. S.
The atmosphere and ambiance is very nice. Unfortunately the food and price isn’t. Truffle rice felt a little burnt and very crunchy. The Spanish red shrimp, Sakura shrimp fried rice had an awful after taste. Other then that the Australian Wagyu beef was perfectly cooked but over seasoned with salt. The entertainment was really good. Was expecting a bill of 300 for 3 people but got a bill of 388. A bit over priced but a bit me time experience won’t do no harm
M. I.
Went to Park Chinois a while ago ..
great Chinese..
duck is a must..
busy if you go late ..
live music ..
staff are so friendly..
Worth going again..
J. H.
There are some very good places to eat in london and this is one of them. Looking forward to trying the night life one evening. Dim sum best in Europe.
A. J. B.
One of my favourite restaurants. Great ambience, service and food... cocktails are brill as well! Reservation is a must!
S. A.
An amazing dim sum very delicious and worth every penny, will come back again
X. C.
Good food and amazing decadent decoration.
J. M.
Amazing experience
You pay a premium at Park Chinois but my word its worth it.
Three waiters per table, great floor show, amazing food and wine.
One of the best restaurants in London in my opiion
R. P.
For the price I would say there is no wow factor in the food there is nothing special at this restaurant
r. f.
One of the best Chinese restaurants. Went for my friends 30th and whilst the service was slightly slow.. the food was incredible and she had an amazing night!
S. R.
Amazing food.. Everything is very good and tasty. The dessert has been incredible😋
R. H.
My favourite restaurant in London. Special thank you to Mou for giving us the best table
S. A.
Food 4/10
Service 1/10
Atmosphere 9/10
Really overpriced, service was so bad waited 50 mins for my partners drink. The entertainment / music is amazing. Food ok but def not worth the price. Would go again but just for drinks if we get them before 10 🤣
S. W.
If you want upscale Shanghai vibes with luxurious eats - this is the place. If you want quality Chinese food - I suggest its sister restaurants Hakkasan / Yauatcha which are similar in quality and taste. Park Chinois has a dinner room with live jazz band on the ground floor and a club setting downstairs. Cocktails and drinks are great - this is what sets it apart
R. A.
Good food, Great entertainment during dinner but don't count on having a conversation at the table, music was way way too loud!
J. J.
Great service and delicious food. It is on the pricey side but it's not out of the ordinary for the area. Will definitely go back.
P.
Really great restaurant at the epicenter of London’s leisure:lots of bars and restaurants. But this one is so great! They have two floors. The upper floor has all seating tables. The lower one has some tables around a performing space where there are great singers. During our visit, someone was singing Rihanna and it really felt it was just her! But the music is so loud, you can hardly hear the person next to you. It is great to have some drinks after diner. We wanted a little bit quiet diner so we moved upstairs.
Food is excellent. The duck, for 75£ was absolutely great: best dish. Dumplings are amazing, any of them. Black cod. Sumai and gyozas...everything worth a try.
C. M.
Although I love some of the dishes, and I love to spend in mayfair, these prices are nutters. It makes china tang look like nandos. £30 for 4 tiny pieces of dim sum. I come here every now and then but I don’t think this place will last at all, it’s on its last legs. It should really reprice its whole menu before it goes bust for real
J. B.
I think this place has an amazing fusion of high end Chinese and French culture. On a good day, if you choose from the more expensive dishes from the menu and live the high life with the excellent wines and champagne from the menu, this can impress your guest or clients. On the less lavish occasion though, choosing from the weaker dishes on the menu, I have occasionally been left disappointed with the food. The place is expensive but my advice is to enjoy the full experience rather than save a few pounds on the dishes.
N.
Very Posh Restaurant, live music nice interior amazing and authentic food, very pricey but it's in a prime location of Mayfair
h. c.
Dim sum taste like hong kong and dishes are not bad
s. M.
This is a beautiful restaurant but sadly I do feel it is very over priced. We came here for my husbands birthday last Friday night and as it was a special occasion we were happy to pay for a lovely evening. However, although the entertainment in the Salon de Chine was very good, it was not outstanding and did not really quantify the menu prices. Having dined recently in several other prestigious restaurants we were completely shocked by the prices and especially to have an extra £20 added at the end for entertainment. We did have a good evening but I just don't feel a £400 bill was worth it.
G. K.
Went for a dinner, sort of a nightclub experience with loud music and several live performances (dance).
Prices are all right if you are not getting a sea cucumber for £120.
Food was good and served in an adequate time.
I recommend checking out the bathrooms too, as they are decorated quite interestingly.
Dress code is smart / smart casual, although I don’t thing you will get in trouble with casual clothing as this how I showed up.
Overall a nice place but 4 stars for loud music and unreadable menu due to the absence of light.
D. R.
It’s a good vibe, would definitely come back
R. C.
What a restaurant! What an experience! This has to be hands down one of London's best fine dining Chinese restaurants! From the moment you walk in it feels like you've entered a different era, the decor and ambience is designed with a classic and sophisticated feel. The most stunning is the bars (upstairs and downstairs) and the toilets. This restaurant is notorious for having celebrities dine in house, it is one of London's hotspots. The food here is outstanding and is taken care of and carefully thought of. The best is the Peking Duck, it is served in the traditional way (not the gimmicky crispy aromatic duck). The restaurant also has day and night entertainment, whether it is a smooth jazz singer or a full on show. It is quite hard to get evening reservations, but quite easy for lunch. Their set menu is well priced and portions are acceptable. 100% recommended.
P. S.
Fantastic place. we booked a party for 5 people downstairs. The decor is amazing. The entertainment was brilliant. The food was out of this world. It is a very expensive place to go, but worth a visit to celebrate a very special occasion. Drinks aint cheap, but that is expected in a place like this.
D. P.
Was at Park Chinois yesterday for the launch of their new brunch menu, which was fantastic. We went for 3 full courses. The food was absolutely delicious, an incredible array of dishes beautifully prepared and served by friendly and attentive staff. Park Chinois has amazing decor, live DJ and it was busy so there was a really good vibe all round; altogether a really enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend!
N.
The ambience was lavish, service was splendid, and the food was superb.
D. D.
Food 3/5. Service 4/5. Ambience 5/5. The atmosphere is unbelievable and we loved the live music. However, food wise we were disappointed. Quality does not match the price tag.
L. F. A.
Visited recently for starters and drinks only. 6 spring rolls for £12 and 5 dumplings for £13 - expensive but they tasted great! Rich flavours and really well cooked. The mocktails were tangy and between £8-10 - very strong and not my type. Service was average but ambience, entertainment and decor was exceptional.
M. A.
Hands down 👌 London's best Chinese

We went here for a post-lockdown and had a great time. The food and service is top notch while the music and entertainment was one of the best we've experienced - a great day out in all and a fantastic way to spend a Saturday.
E. S.
the live entertainment was an unexpected but enjoyable element to my night here. The food was marvellous , particularly the starters. I was partial to the Wasabi Prawns but everything is top notch. Beautiful decor and mood setting lighting really gave the place an otherworldly vibe.
F. G.
Great atmosphere, nice show, food and service.
H. K.
A brilliant high end entertaining Chinese restaurant. After 9:00 pm they had frequent entertainment from tap dancing, ball room dancing, singing etc. I'm a vegetarian and had a wide range of their selection of food. It was all delicious, not to spicy and still full of flavour. I highly recommend this for a special occasion.

Brilliant Experience!!!
First time at Park Chinois with my wife and a friend of ours.
Read a few reviews most of them were good except a few where reviewers found staff rude and food too expensive .
Completely disagree with that !
My experience was excellent.
Special thanks to Raquel who managed the place brilliantly and despite the place being maddeningly busy was the most courteous and friendly person around. Rest of the staff were very courteous and took care of everything to make us comfortable and well looked after.
During one of our conversations with Raquel we mentioned the adverse reviews I had read (and told her I didn't agree) , she had the maturity to accept them and thanked us !
Was quite surprised at how busy it was even on a weekday evening.
Nice Decor.
Food was well worth the price and one of the tastiest I have had and the same view was shared by others.
The live jazz group was very good.
If this place doesn't get 5 stars then no one else should.
Thanks Raquel and thank you to the rest of the star staff.
L. Z.
rather contemporary Chinese food, nice deco in the restaurant & bar, and the main entrance. Great wine menu altho not many mid entry level wines for the people on budget. service was attentive and food quality/ingredients very good.
a. w.
Delicious food and great customer service plus atmosphere is a plus 👍👍👍👍👍
J. F.
It was a beautiful experience. Book a table ! The food is great ! The performances are even better !! They get cooler as the night progresses.
Over all I had a lovely evening!
A. R.
Drinks are bomb! Always happy, they re perfect, not too sweet. After few times of going to bar I finally went for dinner! Cannot describe, service, show, taste of food and the way they decorate plates ! Its must see❤️
J. W.
What a magical night. I was greeted with a flurry of hellos from every waiter we passed upon arrival and all waiters seemed extremely hospitable and cheerful. We were seated immediately by a very charming head waiter. The service was non intrusive, and very prompt. Food was delicious...the Cantonese duck was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and I recommend the Mother of Pearl as a drink. The decor is so rich, it reminded us of a 1920s theater. Upon leaving, I recieved a goodbye from every single staff member. We were visiting from the United States, and this night is a memory that makes me want to return here and take another trip to London! The staff really makes people feel special.
M. A.
Park Chinois is a great restaurant, the food is delicious, the staff are friendly.
The only thing I don’t like is the loud live band music and the fact that they are implementing an entertainment charge.
I find this unsuitable as I come to enjoy the food and not the music and would hope that they have this as an optional charge instead of mandatory.
Other than that it’s a great place to eat and celebrate and you have to try the Peking duck.
V. F.
The ambiance at Park Chinois is buzzing and lively. When you enter the restaurant you know they care to transform you into the 1930s. From the uniform of the staff to the decor - it is almost like Chinese version of the moulin rouge. Being a very vegetarian friendly place, specially for Indians (as they even offer Paneer) there is more than enough selection on the menu. As we were just two of us, we had to pick our favourites. I am hoping to go back in a larger group so we can try out many more dishes.
A. v. P.
I love this place! The decor is pure opulence. The food is really good. It has an amazing ambiance. It is expensive but you are paying for the whole experience which is worth it! You must try the cocktails as well.
Y. S. (.
Very elite and elegant restaurant! Must book in advance! Don't forget to book their pecking duck. The restaurant is very fancy and they have live band. Dress well if you coming here! Worth the experience!
E.
Most decadent Peking Duck in town. Team it up with caviar if you wish. Gorgeously luxurious ambiance, wonderful service. Spoilt for choice on exquisite Chinese specialties. Extensive wine list. Live jazz music. Quite a fantastic night out!!
N. I.
Uber trendy eatery in London's high-end Mayfair district. The decor is sumptuous and chic - taking design cues from 1930s France and its SE Asian imperial past (think the opening scene in Indiana Jones & Temple of Doom). Food is gorgeous and wide ranging "Chinese" - which tries to cater for all tastes. They made extra special effort for my wife who has some shellfish allergies. Its definitely a "special night out" sort of place with dinner+wine likely to set you back +£100/pp (lunch is considerably cheaper). Live music was a real bonus with a jazz trio adding to atmosphere (evenings ONLY).
A. M.
Visited this place with colleagues. The food was actually very good, none of the dishes were average all good or very good. The iberico pork ribs, wasabi prawns, signature duck (whilst a available on the night you should pre book) and dim sum are very good choices.
We were disappointed in the wines, expected them to be at a better temperature they rectified our issue with new bottle which was good however we had to really push for some action.
Whilst it is in Mayfair and Mayfair are prices to be expected the wine in the £100-200 range wasn't great had much better at other Michelin restaurants for that price.... Or the somelier just got it very wrong...
R. D.
Our friends and mentorees were flying from Frankfurt for a dinner with us on Friday evening and then heading back early Saturday. So we wanted to host them for dinner at a place that would be both memorable and relaxed. Park Chinois not only met but exceeded ours and their expectations! A truly magical evening. Started with Champagne which went down so well with delicious starters like Squid (served on a bed of grated apples and cashew nuts - wow!), Dim Sum platter and Chilli Chicken. Then a middle course of The Chinois Duck (best to preorder to avoid disappointment). We took an hour to finish this middle course over great conversation and lovely flowing wine. Mains were so good with Seabass and lychees being memorable. No one could not resist the lovely desserts (Lychee panacota and Apple cheesecake) followed by liquors. The Europeans were blown away by the ambience, food presentation and quality and the impeccable and attentive service. Well done management. You have created a great jewel in the middle of Mayfair. I am planning the next excuse to celebrate and return to our oasis in Mayfair.
S. O.
Came here for lunch during their soft-launch. The decor is interesting; at the main bar, I felt like I was in a Cafe Rouge, but the dining area was a little better. They have a piano in the centre of the restaurant and during lunch a performer on a guitar which I remember as being quite annoying. The toilets made me think of Liberace's bathroom, with the excessive use of gold trim! Food-wise, we opted for the dim sum which was pretty standard, not amazing (Royal China Club on Baker Street still holds the crown for best gourmet dim sum I've had).
E. T.
The best black cod I ever had! Food is one of a kind
L.
Wonderful decor, lots of ambience.
I would say a cosy, almost romantic setting.
Lovely lounge music being played live, which makes it even more relaxing.
Food all delicious! Recommend wasabi prawns, they were soooo good.
5*
l. t.
Lovely cozy decor and cabaret inspired performance was great that night with live jazzy music. Food was a bit disappointing for my Chinese taste buds but if you are looking for an elegant night out you will love it
J. J.
It's a place full of glamorous people for sure, very beautiful and ornate. The food hits new highs and especially the Kumg Pao chicken and Lamb. Overall my best restaurant in London.
J. K.
Quality personified. Everything you would expect in a Mayfair location, leaving the competition way behind.
D.
We have eaten at Park Chinois before and really enjoyed it - but our experience this week was the opposite. Food and wine excellent as usual. However from Wednesday through Saturday, Club Chinois downstairs (where we were seated by reception - we didn’t choose to be there) stage live entertainment comprising performers singing, dancing and presenting tableaux. One problem is that these performances in such a minimal space is intrusive and interrupted the enjoyment of our evening. Guests are expected to stay put whilst these ad hoc performances are presented. The main problem is that the performances are not particularly good with performers who have no charisma and fragile talent. The shows adversely affected our enjoyment of what was to be a special evening.
A. M.
An opulent swanky establishment with a variety of live entertaining performance acts and music every half hour. Premium pan Asian food choices. Quite a pricey experience, however definitely worth the one off experience for an occasion.
M. T.
Amazing night, absolutely loved it! It’ll be my regular night spot when I have a business meeting or friends gathering .... one of the best club lounges I’ve ever been in the U.K capital ... you will never regret booking there, the food is good too! Highly recommended
N. Y.
Super super super cool place! It is pricey but def worth it! The shows are great and the food is delish... What ever you order from the menu definitely will satisfy your apetite! Its a good occasion for a weekend fancy dinner!
A. T.
Went there for Saturday dim sum, but thing is, I kind of like the music, but I can barely focus even on the menu when the music is on. Their dim sum menu is similar as Hakkasan but with wider variety, more delicate and better presentation. Still the music and the 60s Shanghai deco is sort of a miss. And its odd to have mirror in front of urinal....
S. K.
Great food , great services & great atmosphere 👍
J. H.
Go before it closes down - it is apparently hemorrhaging cash at an alarming rate, probably because there are aobut a million staff emplyed here.
Slightly bemused by the Google description of "elegant live music" - on the evening we went the entertainment was incredibly kitsch cabaret. I enjoyed it nonetheless. The food is reassuringly expensive and had moments of brilliance (the mock fried chicken and the summer truffle dumplings were particularly memorable). I remain unconvinced that wine really goes with Chinese food, but ordered a bottle of Gevrey Chambertin regardless, as I can't help myself when I see it on a wine list.
Overall I really enjoyed the camp excess of Park Chinois.
M. N.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole Park Chinois experience. The setting and atmosphere was so romantic, perfect place for a date, casual people watching, or an entertaining evening for both food and music. I liked that it was sophisticated, elegant yet friendly at the same time. We felt very special while we were there throughout the whole evening. The staff were both attentive and friendly throughout. The interior design and attention to detail completely transported us to 1930's Shanghai. Food and drinks were fantastic. Highly recommend Blood Orange Thyme and Redcurrant Verjus for cocktails. As for food, Park Carbonara, Guinea Fowl and Potted rice were fantastic.
T. r.
After a while felt the Breeeeze Thanks a lot Nikhil you wer Missed cya when I cya soon M8 👍
M. M.
The best duck in London. Another amazing dishes and must try are Norwegian snow crab with noodles, beef short rib in black bean sauce and sea bass.
Spectacular desserts. Great cocktail selection.
M. P.
Such a beautiful restaurant, the live performance of the band and singer made dinner extra exquisite, yet the food disappointed as there was nothing special apart from the brilliant apple cheesecake. Hats off to the waiting staff, best in the business.
H. A.
Food is delectable, but I loved the show the most. This is a place where you should definitely be glam ready with perfect hair and makeup.
Reservations are hard to come by, so book in advance. x
S. C.
Usually really good. The food is good but its more about the vibe. 4 star because last visit they served us on a rush when it wasnt even busy and we just wanted to enjoy the meal
N. R.
"decadent" Chinese restaurant with a French influence. It seems to be more about the decor (lots of curtains, heavy furnishings etc) than the food.
The food is very good, but very pricey for what it is and considering the competition they have elsewhere in London for high end Chinese food.
Staff are friendly and numerous.
N. A.
This is by far my most favourite london restaurant. It is elegant and stunning and the entertainment is superb. The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.
R. T.
Food was delicious, service was excellent and the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere, not to mention the fantastic rich decor and lovely mood lighting. Sure to go back again very soon! Thank you Park Chinois.
I. Z.
Step into the 1930's! Incredible decor and fantastic food. The downstairs features great entertainment if you can manage to get a reservation. Sit at the upstairs bar and talk to Raffial the bartender and mixologist extraordinaire!
J. R.
Nothing to complain, pleasant environment, great service, and portions were appropriate for the price.
T. H.
amazing experience amazing food
one of the most excellent experience
E.
Very cool ambiance. I love the 1930's cabaret feel. Very average food though. Hence my rating. I would give 5* for decor + ambiance
A. T.
Vintage/bohemian style chinese restaurant, i would say ( we had a huge debate over the style of decor). Has live music which is always nice
The food was tasty, especially recommend the pumpkin rice, welsh lamb and the short rib.
Would i come bakc here again? Yes
Did i eat anything mond blowing? Not really
J. L.
Excellent night out, fine dining to perfection especially the lower level that offers live music acts on weekends. Great Chinese food, beautiful atmosphere and very pricey but worth it!
I. N.
Great atmosphere with a different, yet intriguing menu!
G. G.
Great environment jazzy upstairs and club atmosphere downstairs restaurant events dance party and burlesque just ask info before booking! Good service and great prices on certain wines and champagne also friendly staff!
A. B.
The food was all unnecessarily fried and full of oil. I was expecting better quality food and it was very disappointing that it couldn’t match the atmosphere . The show on the other hand was very entertaining.
J. M.
Great service and food, thank you
A.
As much as we loved the atmosphere with live music, the selection of seafood dim sums and the kingcrab and sweetcorn soup, we were disappointed with the service. The waiter we had (old lady with short black hair and glasses) was not professional and knowledgeable as one would expect for the price we paid, she was unable to answer our questions clearly, let alone make us want to order the dishes we asked about... Good to try once but we would not go back!
L. S.
One of the best Chinese meals I have had in a very long time. Food can be a little rich at times but very tasty. Overall an enjoyable evening.
A. T.
Tres chic! Fancy food, delicious flavors in Asian cuisine served elegantly in chic ambiance. Must visit the washroom, the sink and water faucet are pieces of art! Loved it
H. L.
Great place!
Decor and live music really give a great atmosphere. The food was delicious, favourite dim sum had to be the pork gyoza and favourite main was the dover sole!!
D. K.
Best to reserve a table downstairs for a full night out (drinks + dinner). Prices are kind of high although both food and drinks are definitely rewarding. The duck is the king of all dishes, but my personal favourite was the Bang-Bang chicken salad. The "Park Carbonara" is an intelligently Italo-Asian mixed dish with udon noodles, pancetta and sea urchin, brought together with golden egg yolk. Also, don't forget to order the Sichuan vegetable dumplings for starters!
I. M.
Have been quite a few times. Such a beautiful space, service is always so lovely and attentive, plus food and cocktails are to die for. Definitely recommend!
D. M.
Good food and nice entertainment, went their with my wife, daughter and her friends , but we didn't get dinner as the waiter forgot to ask us for the order and the chef left but they compensated by offering desserts on the house.
S.
The kitchen is pretty good, some dishes are amazing! The entertainment starts around 15mins to 8 and lasts for 20 mins just some sparkles on your cake
N. E.
So I think this place could be charming but it's missing something. The food is average when it should be amazing and the pricing is very expensive because it near Berkeley Square. I think they spent the money on the rent instead of the product.
H. B.
A most interesting place, I very much enjoy the food with their ever rotating menu. The price is expensive, but then quality usually is
M. B.
I thought the staff were excellent. The food very good. Atmosphere great. Very nice wines and cocktails.
J. M.
Maybe the best duck pancakes in London... I know they're probably not authentic blah blah blah... but they taste amazing! Probably helped my experience that I wasn't the one getting the bill.
d. a. b.
There are better places in london to eat, but its definitely one of the best places!
amazing theme and atmosphere! I go there all the time!
BEST DISH - Wasabi Prawns!!!
L. O.
Food was only average for the price you have to pay. You can get much better food in Chinatown or Bayswater. Ambience fine but a little too loud to have a decent conversation.
s. n.
HALAL DIM SUM whoopie, finally dim sum dough made without animal fat. The best ever, fresh ingredients and a total balace of texture. WOW
This now our weekend lunch hangout. THANK YOU PARK CHINOIS..... hopefully your attention to halal options will take you from strength to strength
n. h.
Lamb was good, rice with black truffle was not up to my expectation. The ambiance is amazing and performances were beyond.
S. A.
Chinese dishes with an old school English style of glamorous, understated service. The lunchtime fixed price menu is the best value meal in Mayfair
Y. F.
The food is okay ,but the show are amazing
F. A.
Excellent customer service
Our waiter was awesome , he actually gave all the good recommendation
Dim sum, boa, the prawn crispy dim sum
The tufo aubergine is a must
Will definitely come back

One of my favorite restaurants in London.
Great atmosphere, great staff and great food!
Been there countless time and will keep on going!
Must order the wasabi prawns!!!
N. G.
I would give them 3.5 stars. I had just the Peking duck and some dim sum. Both were average. They do give a show downstairs so that's how they got 3.5 from me
s. h.
Sensational place! Amazing ambience and atmosphere! xxx
J. P.
Positives -
Great bar service and staff with drink recommendations
Good food, wide variety and range
If dinning you're guaranteed a great view off the acts for the evening
Negatives -
This will end up being a pricey night so be prepared - deep pockets
Performers change night to night so this is a gamble (First time was amazing, second time was less so)
Bar area can get very crowed during peak times
Dinning area is dimly lit, hard to see what you're actually eating at times
V. L.
Most tastiest, Creative Dim Sum & with delicious Contemporary Chinese dishes. A WOW experience Served exquisitely
S. U.
This was our second visit.
Good food on both occasions but the levels of service seen to have dropped pretty dramatically since our last visit and are no longer in keeping with a high end Mayfair price point.
A. B.
The staff is excellent and their recommendations are at par with your preference.flexible to create dishes for you.ambience is old school and the crowd is glamorous!!cant go wrong going there for a fab time
D. S.
Exquisite dining with very professional, entertaining and engaging staff.
M. D.
Superb hot and sour soup.
Delicious duck de Chine
Exquisite food.
Wonderful but awfully expensive wine list
P. M.
Amazing food and wine experience. Very attentive service and excellent entertainment.
I will definitely go again and again

I don't give many ratings. But wow. This place is exceptional. The music the food. The bar technicians -wow
i.
Great food, very attentive staff
A. M.
The restaurant atmosphere and the band was playing perfect music. The food is very delicious.
Y. X.
Great dim sum and dinner place. Interesting feeling of being Asian to dine in a chinese colonial style restaurant and served by westerners. Reversed
L. A.
Easily one of the best nights out in London! The food, interiors, entertainment, people watching and glamour make this truly unique.
M. H.
Posh restaurant. Great food. Excellent service. Jazz band plays in the evening. Expensive. Enjoyed it
A. M.
What a treat - fantastic food, cheeky entertainment and lovely, professional service. It's not cheap, but you'll have a fantastic time.

Best food in London and the decor is so beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
L. D.
Whats not to like? Excellent food and amazing performances. It was an unforgettable birthday. Will surely be back
y. H.
Best Chinese food in london, a bit pricey but worth it and while eating you can enjoy the music band with their relaxing music
S. B.
fantastic decoration and renovation with a taste of old Shanghai style. the stir-fried cuisines are great
R. H.
Lovely spot. Excellent service. Great food. Compelling atmosphere. Definitely will visit again.
t. M.
So far- the best Chinese restaurant in London, but may look overpriced.
D. R. A.
corporate card type restaurant - food is good but overpriced - atmosphere rather flat at lunch - picks up for dinner given music sets - maybe if you fancy an expensive date its worth it - but not necessarily for food
S. T.
Over the top Deco! High quality Chinese food with quartet performance. Strange mix but somehow works.
N. F.
Brilliant ambience, food and entertainment. Be prepared as this does not come cheap with a glass of wine starting at £29...
P. M.
Lovely good. Personal advise.nice music. Only the sound was to hard. You could not talk. I Will Come back
G. G.
Very busy place, not Chinese more Italian, prices very expensive, they charge for the band 10 pound per person, Not worthy the money you pay, the waiters lots of them a bit lazy they didn't even change the cutlery from the starter to the main
h. a.

One of the best in London! Great chicken and duck.
T. L.
I went here hoping to hate it due to its ludicrous opulence and departure from anything that resembles traditional Chinese cuisine. However, I left with a big smile on my face having had delicious food and enjoyed brilliant entertainment from the resident performers. We opted for the tasting menu which came with Peking duck (please don't add the caviar - it is utterly pointless and doesn't stand up to the powerful flavour of the duck and plum sauce), lobster, some other meat dishes and some delicious deserts. We sampled a couple of bottles of their wine list which, unsurprisingly, was a catalogue of overpriced plonk. Probably not worth the money, but a heck of a good time nonetheless.
