American style food. We came last Thursday to have lunch here and we decided to go for the carnivore plate. It's minimum for two people and the portions is super big! You get to try all their barbeque meats. They are all tender and tasty but the beef bone was really outsanding. If you don't want to try the whole plate at least order that! I also loved the ribs, chicken wings and brisket. Luckily we didn't order sides cause it was so filling. You could share between 3-4 people if you order sides and maybe an extra dish. Staff was also lovely specially the girl that served us. Didn't get her name, but as I said, we came in last Thursday around 15:00. She was super nice! Can't wait to try their burgers

Just made the 5 stars grade! Firstly the points which made me question the 5* rating. The only chicken sold at the branch is wings or burgers not pieces or tenders which is advertised on the website for the chain, secondly there is no hot wing challenge available yet at this branch either which I found disappointing as I was an eager competitor. Theres only 1 toilet for everyone !! Justifying 5*..... this was some of the best barbecue I've ever tasted!! The beef rib and the pork rib was simply out of this world, succulent and juicy it will leave you craving for more and the brisket is pretty damn good too. Burgers delicious and plenty of delightful side dishes to choose from. Good selection of drinks with draft lager available. Cocktail happy hour starts from 19:00. There are no desserts available but you can get milkshakes here. Staff were amazing! We had 2 to 3 of the team being very attentive and professional but not intrusive. We must have had our table for over 3 hours!! and not once was we rushed or asked to leave our table as our party sat and drunk the Saturday night away after such a banquets of fine BBQ meats. Great place for meat lover and for socialising, fairly priced and definitely worth a visit! Large outside seating area available.

The atmosphere was nice and the service as well. Try the burgers or the sandwiches and from the nibble section definitely the fried pickles nachos and loaded fries. Try to avoid the meat Platters cause isn't worth it.

Food is amazing. Esp the short rib and the burgers. The wings are a hit and miss but the rest is over rated. I traveled 2 hours for this place and was a mixed feeling if the trip was worth it. £106 for 2 adults and a child. Definitely not coming here again. The staff is accomodating esp Antonio.

I don't normally review places on Google maps, but the fact this place is hovering around 4 stars is a travesty. Yes the service was interesting, yes the tables were sticky. But you aren't there for that, you're there for the American BBQ and oh boy do they deliver. Now, I've never had American BBQ in America, coming from New Zealand. But I can tell you this is the best American BBQ I have ever had by an American mile. I have a friend that lived in America and they to were impressed. The burger I had was the best burger I've ever had, narrowly beating out my previous king from a local place in NZ. The pork ribs had so much meat on them. My friends sandwich was divine as well, the pulled pork was good to. Highly recommend, screw everything else the food was fantastic and I will be coming back often. Keep it up. 😊

I'll start this by saying the food was very nice and the front of house staff were very good. Unfortunately I'm having to give this a 3 star mainly due to the fact we only got half the food and had to wait so long for the other half (while other people were getting their food) that we cancelled it in hopes we could go somewhere else. Our server was very good however, she apologised and gave us rest of our meal on the house as it had been prepared by that point. Clearly the kitchen was waiting for more orders as our burger came out with 2 others. The food was delicious, the bourbon peach wings and strawberry cheesecake shake were especially scrumptious. However the choice of a glass with no handle for my tea was slightly odd and there rattan tables weren't the best choice I would suggest people check it out if you're in the area and love BBQ food or excellent milkshakes.

This bbq is simply delicious. There is nothing else to say. I assume this is amongst or if not the best in London. def worth a visit if you love American bbq. The beef ribs is stellar. Well spiced and juicy and tender. Exactly how you want it. The pork ribs were extremely moist and included a nice fat cap on top. I was shocked at how perfectly cooked they were. Perfectly tender but with enough of bite, they weren’t just falling apart The brisket was acceptable. I enjoyed it but it didn’t catch as much attention as the other items. the sides are all tasty. I’d say the mac and cheese is the star of the show. Lots of bacon and jalapeño I didnt have any of the because why would I? Everyone else seemed to be enjoying the burgers but I can strictly for the bbq

The food was great, highly recommended. I bumped it down by two stars as we were close to the door which doesn't close so we had an ice cold draft on us throughout our entire meal and it totally ruined the meal and evening. A meal should be a time to relax, unwind, chat, eat and drink instead we felt we had to rush so we didn't freeze to death as eating in a thick coat is even more uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the great food it would have been a one star. Come on Red Dog, fix the door!

Ignore the reviews. The food is great. Firstly, the two times I've had food from here it's been delivered. Secondly, these are some of the best burgers and chicken sandwiches I've had in London. I've been to a lot of places for chicken sandwiches and burgers in London and this place is in the top 5. They're flavoursome, intense and juicy. Great stuff. I haven't tried their bbq - quite silly I know - but from what I've had it's been exceptional. Keep it up!

Not worth risking your exposure to Coronavirus for. The restaurant is definitely not compliant, I could pick the food off the plate from the table next to me. The chicken burger was ok. Slightly oily, and very little despite ordering a double. The pork rib was dry in places. The food was fine. Chips were good.

I don't understand why your overall rating is so low????? I purposely am describing myself incase you guys remembered me attending today as I want you to know how much I genuinely appreciated my experience. I came today roughly around 1:30 PM ish, the lady in a white top and black trousers and large sunglasses. I showed the lady what I wanted from the Instagram page and ordered the mozzarella sticks because they are bloody heavenly (not even exaggerating). Everything is cooked fresh and you can tell it is made with love. Gorgeously, tasting, comfort food to say the least! The lady who had a slight accent, you were so kind, beautiful and welcoming! Their was an oriental looking Asian man who was so, so kind and was constantly checking on me whilst I was eating to make sure everything was okay. Nothing is artificial which makes everything extra perfect. For anybody who has commented bad comments, shame on you. I've read some of the negative experiences and it's just typical of some losers to be so nasty! I will stop by everytime I get the chance, so I can try something new and different every single time. Oh my goodness! What an amazing selection of meat! We ordered the carnivore platter and that's what it was... the amount of meat was incredible with succulent ribs and juicy sausages. Great choice if you are with lots of people! I will definitely be back when next in the area!

There is an off the menu item for the lovers of spice and heat. It's a six wing challenge: finish the chicken wings within 10 minutes and survive a 5 min afterburn without any other food or drink then you get a spot on the hall of flame! My advice....just eat what's on the regular menu. Trust me

Just happened to walk past whilst looking for somewhere to eat before the theatre, glad we tried as the food was very good. I went for the Gooey Louie burger with chicken and bacon loaded fries, both very tasty and would eat here again. Only disappointment came when we ordered our dessert and sat there for a good 10 minutes before they came back to say that the dessert we had chosen wasn’t available, you wouldn’t think it would take them that long to work out it wasn’t available. Oh well, everything else was good.

Decided to try this place out after we seen it on trip advisor, booked through the trip advisor app with no problems at all. Went in and we're greeted by lovely staff in a small but cosy establishment. We were informed it was happy hour so we had some frozen margaritas which were delightful. We ordered wings to start and they were quick to arrive, they were fresh and delicious. After we had finished it was only a short time until we got our mains which were outstanding. We had the St Louis rib with Mac and Cheese and sweet potato fires, and the California burger with Bacon poutine. Both were amazing. It was a challenge to finish the food and when the bill came we were surprised, it was cheaper than we had anticipated for London.

We asked for a (very) hot sauce for the tasteless wings & were told it wasn't available seperately & were given a sad & unspicy sauce instead... Only 5 bottles of wine to choose from too. Come on!! Not bad. But nothing spectacular. After living in Texas, I’ve got a good sense of how BBQ food should be done and tastes. Don’t get me wrong, it’s obviously very hard to replicate what the lone star states produces in terms of BBQ food. But I think Red Dog can do better. The brisket wasn’t the most succulent, the ribs, the meat didn’t fall apart and was slightly chewy. And the sausage I couldn’t even eat. If you want the closest thing to Texas BBQ food I would suggest “Smokestak” in Shoreditch - that’s the closest I’ve found so far. Will try red dog again one day, but won’t be going out of my way to return.

Had a great meal here and staff were excellent. The burgers are incredible and you can really pig out with a minimum of two burgers going up to a four burger version from the menu. Fries are always a tell tell sign of good or bad and their fries were awesome. Good choice of drinks and good seating. Watch out for one of the waitress's as she has a tendency to just appear and frighten you ( not on purpose but if your old make sure you sit against a wall).

Super quiet on a Sunday which was good . Staff were very friendly and had mistakenly bought onion rings instead of fries no problem as they changed them straight away. A lot of fries for £3.50! Onion rings, coleslaw, pork rib and smoked sausage all super tasty. Only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the burger which is why the 3 stars. The burgers look huge in photos however they are rather small patty is exactly the same in size as McDonald's, they were cooked nice as they were pink in the middle and really soft but just reminded me slightly of McDonald's. Overall good place to eat , friendly staff and tasty food.

Great service, everyone we dealt with was very polite and helpful with it a great bonus. If you like the English take on American BBQ then this IS a place you should visit! Chicken wings were great as was the smoked sausage. Being super picky maybe a tiny bit to much fat on the short rib but this of course isn't their fault and it was still cooked very well.

Service wasn't great, which tarnished our visit (especially as they add the 'discretionary' bill to the bill). The waiter dropped one of our groups burgers, and informed us of this nonchalantly when dropping off the rest of the food. He did however, apologise later on, and offered my friend his meal for free, which was nice. Whilst waiting to pay, four people who had received the bill after us paid before us, and we had to get the waiters attention to pay, which was annoying. I liked the atmosphere and feel of the restaurant, it's friendly and welcoming, even if you do leave smelling of BBQ! Overall, the food and restaurant was good, however the service on this occasion let the side down.

Cosy atmosphere, very kind staff and nice food. The sell a vegetarian burger (which is great in the first place) that is pretty delicious! It tastes fairly similar to a normal (meat) burger, which can be great in comparison to most veggie burgers that are completely different from regular fast food. A small thing that could be better was that the toilet: it didn't feel too clean as it was a little moist everywhere. But would definitely recommend to people who are looking for a nice little place to get a burger and some yummie fries!

The milk shakes were also massive, can def share one between two, but didn't think the extra dusting of chocolate sugar on top of the whipped cream was necessary. The barbecued meats lacked any real flavour except thick charcoal. Didn't detect any seasoning or the tang of mesquite of expect. The macaroni cheese with brisket topping was a mistake: the cheese sauce made with American cheese was luminous and watery, the brisket was chewy. Three stars because the mojitos were great and the waitresses were really nice. Not a bad place to stop in for a few drinks and some loaded fries, but the main food needs to get much better.

The food is nice. The waitress was very friendly. Stay away from the "spicy chicken wings"!! You might think you have experienced spicy food, but you haven't! Trust me! You will be 20 minutes crying/running nose and not filling your lips. Followed by tummy heavy pain for 4 or 5 hours, and finishing with a unique painful experience on the next day doing your number 2! So, unless you really know what you are doing, don't be (another) naive person thinking you _like_ very spicy food :)

Damn they rocked. I am the buffalo chicken wings freak. I've been to million places and can confirm that the Reed Dog Saloon can get them right. They are not 100% original but they taste really good and if you put little bit of that yellow spice sauce on them that you have at your disposal at each table you will have enjoy a great dish. Given the multitude of American BBQ places, each place had to stand out our offer something unique. We couldn't be seated as per the stated time of our booking so we were left to wait, not a great start but this was remedied by some free drinks when we were eventually seated. The food is ok, it's not the last word on BBQ and the prices not that cheap either but that's the Soho way these days. BBQ meat meals arrived with a slice of toast which really added nothing. Apparently a chain owner directive, trying something new. I'd say try something else. Staff are trying their hardest in what is a small and busy restaurant, everyone gets crammed in these days. You also smell like you've been in a smoke house. And one bathroom for the whole restaurant, next to the kitchen downstairs. Hmmmmm.

This place is like an alternative to Big Easy, except they do not serve seafood. If you like American BBQ food, and if you like MEAT, this place is for you. Word of woe though, they have replaced my local fish and chippies :( They are currently doing 50% off the bill until this Weds (18/11/15) lunch and dinner. Takeaways are currently unavailable but you can doggy bag food from dining in. And you WILL need it as the portions are huge. My friends who have visited warned me off the pulled pork and I do not particularly fancy chicken, so I opted for the pork ribs and beef brisket with hot link (sausage) and burnt end pie (think potato mash with meat at the bottom). The pork ribs are sweetened with honey and is oh so delicious. Brisket is very tender (but just not at the melt in your mouth Zelman meats point) and is slightly too salty for my taste. Hot link is amazing tasting but once again, slightly too salty if you do not wash it down with plenty of drinks or fillers like mash. Your plate of food comes with some sort of honey mustard sauce. The burnt end pie initially came too cold (i.e. the outside metal container was warm but unfortunately the mash inside was not heated up properly). I mentioned this and the manager came over and offered to give me a fresh one. I told them I'm ok with them heating up my existing one but they insisted. Nice service overall. Yes, wording are a bit strange in the menu. I can only think that these are what our American parts call them, but in the UK, these weird and strange sounding word combinations just confuse me to no end. Also their drinks menu have milkshakes and alcohol but somehow they do not have soft drinks listed. Trial and error means that we have figured out 1) they do not have fanta 2) yes they have lemonade 3) yes they have coke 4) they will just check how much these are - oh yes, £2.95 each. The sauces on the table were interesting, they all have a slight vingarette twang and most are sweet sauces. Nice but not entirely necessary. Conclusion: Better than Big Easy. But bring an empty stomach to eat here. PS: They do super hot chicken wing challenges here, amongst other challenges.
