It's a spectacular looking restaurant with food to match! The portion sizes are great which provides good value for money. The food was excellent and there are some Royal Specials on the menu that elevate it above the standard dishes. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I can't fault it and we'll definitely be going back!

Third time's a charm. We had the waitress we had on my first visit and all went very well and this time there were 16 of us, she was patient and ensure our orders were correct and our meal was enjoyable. I recommend you visit this place and see for yourself as I had 2 fantastic time here and one poor. Upon my second visit within weeks I have to say I was rather disappointed as the first was very good and the second was poor. The service from our designated waiter was poor and to top it off before our service started he was speaking about us to his colleagues as well as lying to our members who wished to pay separately, he said he could only accept one card payment and later backtrack as we pointed that were were able to pay separately on our previous visit. Some of the drinks had to be returned as well as two dishes (taste and cold respectively). It felt like the service came with the crowd you have with you as we could clearly see the difference in attitude he had two other table in his section. If not for the service and food the first time. I would have given 1☆. The waiter at the front top corner of the restaurant should take note of the lovely waitress' service and attention to customers.

Ordered Mattar Paneer and breads, chaach and brownie. The mattar paneer curry was delicious. Although there were lesser chunks of paneer in it. The service needs to improve. Water wasn't served for a long time and while serving food they kept it really far that couldn't reach it. Ambience was a bit cozy and noisy with children running and yelling. Overall, a nice dining experience. It's definitely got better taste than other sub par Indian restaurants in London. Masala zone should take notes :P

We did our Wedding Reception party at Royal Mahal Restaurant. We had to book the whole restaurant. They allow us to decorate the restaurant our own way. They even opened the restaurant early morning for decoration. They helped us every single way and the staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is so posh and gorgeous. Our guest liked the food very much. Finally I would like to thank RONI who is great guy and I am so thankful since day one I met him. He made sure that everything runs smoothly. He always present there whatever needed. We highly recommend this restaurant. Even restaurant owner came around to make sure everything is okay and if needed anything extra. Thank you the whole team of Royal Mahal.

Good food and great atmosphere. The dynamite prawns were very tasty. The samosa chat a delight. The Afghani chicken is one of my favourites together with the Peshawari naan. While the food was excellent, the service was disappointing to begin with and the starters were late. It did improve as the waitress picked up the pace as we went to the mains. Hence 4 stars.

This is the 3rd time we are returning to Royal Mahal and I have never been disappointed. As a starter, we had the fried fish (came out a little dry but tasty 👍) and the lamd samosas (👍) . For mains, I would definitely recommend the lamb shops(👌) or/and the "mixed grill"(🌶️) . The "butter chicken" and the "chilli lamb curry"(🌶️🌶️) were also delicious. The waiter mixed our order once and misunderstood us a few times but was always attentive to us and had a good attitude, a smile would have been tip top... I would have given 5⭐ but a few flaws in the food and service but nothing deal breaking, we will come back. R.M. Lovely family orientated restaurant, with a nice atmosphere and a good choice of food. The service was excellent with fabulous attention to detail. The food was delicious, we had chosen a three course meal set menus for my brothers 60th birthday.Tahir and Amna assisted throughout the duration of the party and made our family and guests feel very welcome by attending to their every need. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff and customer service is outstanding. Thank you very much Tahir for all you help advice and assistance. We will definitely be visiting again.

Great service (Masud was our waiter) who was very attentive and provided info on what to order and what was nice. We ordered the mixed grill, masala chips and butter chicken. The food was very tasty and fresh, portion was extremely good. Decor of the restaurant is WOW! Only down side is no free parking on weekdays in the afternoon which was a slight let down and on the side road it was £3 an hour. Other staff very friendly, food was a 8/9 out of 10. Would definitely go back in the future :)

I just had some amazing food at Royal Mahal today. Not only was the food amazing. One of the team by the name of “Kanal” was amazing. She made the visit much better. Such amazing service and good energy. Will definitely be coming back again and recommending this beautiful restaurant to all my friends and family. Someone please promote Kanal. Went there for the first time. Nice decor and lots of waiters standing around. Good service and courteous. Food is average. Fish masala, was basically what you would get at a fish and chips shop. Salad was disappointing. Dishes / drinks are greatly overpriced. Enjoyed going there, but wont be going back in a hurry(!) unless I am not paying the bill.

Came across this restaurant whilst visiting St George’s Hospital and it did not disappoint! A very busy Friday night, we decided to go for some of their specials including the dynamite prawns and Shahi Haleem. Both were outstanding! Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.

My family recently used this company to cater for an event at home. Booking and organising the food was efficient and catered without any issues to our requirements. The food arrived in a timely manner and was enjoyed by all of our guests. The food was amazing and packaged so it was kept hot which is always so important. From booking to having the food delivered this was a great experience. I can honestly say the food tasted like food from home and the service was first class! Recommend 1000%! The mixed grill starter was probably one of the best mixed grills my mates and I have ever had. The lamb chops, tikkas and kebab were bursting with flavour! The chicken tikka karahi and chana daal were also a 10/10 and a must try! We had a lovely attentive and friendly waiter, didn’t catch his name, but one of the best services and food we’ve received at a restaurant. Will definitely be back!

Went Royal Mahal last night and the whole experience was excellent. One of the best Mix grills Ive had anywhere - meat was flavoursome and succulent. I went for the Lamb Balti which was tasty and had the right amount of spice - went perfectly with the Naan Bread. To finish of the meal I had the Falooda for dessert which was really authentic with the Kulfi. Wife went for the Brownie which was enjoyable. Highly recommend Royal Mahal and will be visiting again.

Great service. We booked for a medium to large size event (55 people). Everything was managed very well. The staff were very attentive and the food was really delicious. The food is always of good quality and we always come back. More recently we tried the dynamite chicken which was really tasty! Visited from Ireland, tried many Restaurants but we found Royal Mahal at the top of the top. Ate BBQ PLATTER, Haleem, Chana, Fish, faluda. Most delicious item was Dynamite Chicken. So delicious and tasty. Mango lassi was amazing. Service was exceptional. Excellent sitting and environment. We wish to have the same restaurant in Dublin so we can enjoy more often.

The food here was very tasty but customer service was a bit poor. It was a very busy Friday evening and despite making a reservation prior to going there, they weren’t as attentive as I hoped for them to be. A lot of the staff were not listening properly and it was very cramped. They did play a song for the birthday which was nice but food took very long too. Could say it was worth the wait but its always really busy and the staff are slow.

I truly believe Royal Mahal has the best quality and best tasting food in Tooting. We had arranged a birthday party event which could not go ahead - The managment - (Adil) was very understanding. It was very apparent that keeping the customer happy and their reputation is something they cherish highly. They truly went out of their way to accomodate us. We went to the tooting restaurant - Great service, great food and great ambience!! Azmir in particular is a fantastic and friendly person and waiter! There was a slight delay to our main course and the boss very thoughtfully brought us strawberry mocktail drink on the house! So thoughtful. They didn't even add service charge to our bill but the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited first time on a Sunday as part of a family celebration. First impressions were it was clean and well presented, I like places that are organised. The food was of good quality! Authentic Pakistani cusine. It wasnt the watered down rubbish you'd find in other restaurants. The internal decor was great too. A hidden gem in Tooting. We visited this restaurant for a 60th birthday celebration for my brother in law. There were about 15 of us and we had a really pleasant experience here. Food is fresh and very tasty and the grill is very very good. Organisation and timing of food delivery by Tahir was excellent and we would also like to acknowledge Amna who served us. Nothing was too much for her and she was very helpful - great member of staff. We would highly recommend and will definitely revisit.

I am absolutely amazed by the kindness, warmth and dedication every single staff member had. I had the privilege of hosting an event as part of a society from St. George's University of London and was truly taken back at how much the evening exceeded my own standards. Everyone was extremely professional, patient and cordial in their approach to an event that catered to 99 people. Taahir is a fantastic and accommodating manager alongside his colleagues Islam and Adil who was a great help in organising the event. Thank you very much and we look forward to coming again soon! I'd highly recommend the seekh kebabs, chicken tikka and Chicken biryani! The seasoning on the biryani was incredible!

The Royal Mahal restaurant has a gold and black decoration throughout. A good size for a restaurant. Seats We were part of a birthday celebration group. Food was really good and quite a large selection. As part of the birthday group there was a set menu. Because my dietary requirements I opted for a different menu. Service was ok. There were a couple of errors with our order which was rectified but had to wait a while before receiving my dishes. On a negative note because we had overrun our apparent alloted time we were asked to vacate as another party had a booking and were waiting to be seated. As they had made errors with our original orders we only thought it would he be fairer to let us all have at least 15 miniutes as not all our group had not received or were in the middle of their meal. Manager was informed but unfortunately was not very diplomatic. He insisted that we should leave. In the end we all came to a satisfactory conclusion to our evening as we were eventually we were all able to finish our meals. Lessons can be learned from staff regarding group bookings and what the booking entails for a better restaurant experience.

Went to Royal Mahal tooting bec yesterday for the 1st time with my wife. Wow wow wow. What a perfect place that is to be honest. We were greeted by a lovely suited and well behaved young man. He guided us to the table in no times and the lady,infact young tiny girl who served us was extremely hands on. She was quick prompt decent and exceptionally professional. Our food, what can I say. Lamb curry and chicken curry was out of this world. And raita was from a heaven. Totally in love with this place with the staff and with the food. I can drive down from Manchester to royal Mahal every day if I could. Well done guys. Top shot and well done tiny girl. Thank you for your great food and outstanding service.

After visiting Royal Mahal yesterday I must say the quality of service was excellent. From the moment we entered till the moment we left there was nothing but exemplary customer service provided. We ordered many starters with the Lamb Chops and Dynamite Chicken being personal favourites. The main course was thriving with flavours and really sat well with the garlic naan. Desserts were again top notch, we couldn’t complain at anything. It was lovely meeting the team and getting what we believe is the best Asian cuisine is London ATM!

An absolutely divine eating experience. I’m originally from pakistan and I know how hard it is to find a good Pakistani restaurant in London. Royal Mahal exceeded my expectations in every way. Even in the pandemic they were very efficient when I went there for a take away. The food portions were also extremely generous, not to mention the great taste, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try some good traditional Pakistani/Indian dishes.

I would rate the food as 6/10. My concerns and ratings are based on customer service and restaurant set-up. First of all the music was too loud! And when politely asked to turn it down the answer given was we turned it down already. Staff were very rushing and demanding to clear off the table as quick as possible. Leaving us less time to enjoy. Space and social distancing a major issue. There was hardly space to walk im not sure how many people were seated! Nonetheless i wouldnt want to go back as the mood and environment was draining and had an effect on the food.

My wife ordered us the Crown hamper to help make my lockdown birthday feel more special and this definitely did the job. The customer service via email was brilliant and they happily allowed us to scale down the box size for the 2. The actual meal itself was brilliant. I love curry and have lived in Tooting for 7 years now and this is easily up there with one of the best I’ve had. Great starters, karahi dishes with well cooked meat (and lots of it), dhal, biriyani, naan.... well just everything was super tasty and great spicing. We’ll definitely be back, although need to finish the leftovers first. Thank you to the whole team at Royal Mahal.

Brilliant food and service. Recently had gol gappas 🤩 absolutely fantastic, not stingy with the ingredients like most places, especially with the pani. We also had biryani, and I think it's the only place where I can say that they actually put too much chicken in 😂 so again, not stingy. Also had lamb curry, which was very tender and the mandala was delicious. Naan was also nice and freshly made. Chicken seekh kebabs were lovely and juicy, even the next day! Great food and at a great price. When they reopened after the first lockdown, I was very impressed with their COVID safeguarding too. Would highly recommend 👍I've been coming to this restaurant since it first opened and was worried it would change when it became Royal Mahal but it's actually gotten better!

I placed a order for my family during Ramadhan and with lockdown rules we couldn’t spend ramdhan with family as we normaly do and arfan went a extra mile and made everything amazing,their packaging food attention to detail is amazing. The prices are very reasonable and big portions too, food is very nice as it always has been. We have had food from royal mahal a few times during ramdhan and it’s been amazing each time. Thankyou so much arfan and Tahir my family loved the packaging and the food and we will be ordering again soon.

Royal Mahal is my go to place every time I’m craving grill and curry’s. The food is exceptionally cooked to quality showing that the restaurant takes good care of customer satisfaction. Even though the name has changed the taste of food is the same. This is one of the finest Indian/Pakistani restaurants in the UK. Today I went with a friend for my birthday and ordered the new Dynamite Prawns, as well as Tikka Fish Kharai and some rice. The service is nothing short of excellent, and the food is phenomenal, prepared by chefs who are evidently highly experienced in that field of cuisine. The ambiance and setting of the restaurant has been meticulously curated. Our waiter, Dawood, was also highly attentive, efficient and charming. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an explosion of authentic South Asian food in the heart of Tooting. You won’t get better than this.

I was a regular customer when the restaurant was Spice Village and could never fault it. However having eaten there last week under the new brand it was really disapointing. The Maitre'D informed me that it was only a name change and the dishes would be exactly the same, nothing at all was the same. The curry, the naan and every dish we ordered was different in taste and appearance and was not to the same standard and flavour as it previously was. The service remains great, the staff are friendly and attentive as always. Not sure if I would return after this.
