Reviews of Savoy Grill
G. T.
Loved the food, really tasty and well cooked. Although we had a voucher, the staff treated us with 1st class service. Nothing too much trouble and very attentive. We knew we would spend more as the voucher didn't provide drinks etc (apart from our glass of champagne) but you pay for the experience. Wonderful place to visit and would definitely be going back!
K. J.
I've really enjoyed my experience here. Food was good (dessert was REVOLUTIONARY! 10/10), customer service was perfect, but the atmosphere was a bit 'hotel from the 80s' in my opinion (probably more suited for older folk). I think Gordon's seafood restaurant next door would be more my vibe. Verdict: good place to check out once, decent experience, but probably won't come back as the atmosphere isn't for me.

So special! We had this experience gifted to us for our wedding and most of the food was just delicious! The pumpkin starter was gorgeous and the two meat courses of beef Wellington and duck confit leg were cooked to perfection. We did not personally rate the creme caramel (there was a smokey tone that was far too bitter) or the espresso martini (not sweet enough for me) in taste but service and presentation was also exceptional. Such a lovely ambience to the restaurant too. Definitely one for a special occasion.

Beautiful Xmas decor and a real elegant heir as you would expect from such an establishment as Savoy. The staff were very friendly and attentive with re-filling drinks and they really put effort to engage with customers which made the experience more memorable. I chose the pumpkin soup to start. The presentation and flavour was good though I felt it could have been slightly warmer. The beef Wellington was succulent and smooth. I opted for the cheese for dessert which was also very good but I was hoping for an assortment of cheese rather than 1 block. I celebrated my 32nd birthday and I had a good time. Overall 7-8/10

Birthday best eating place
My family and I went here for my birthday meal and we thoroughly enjoy. The level of service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and accompanied you to and from the restroom. We would visit this restaurant again.

I definitely loved the food and the staff were polite and kind. Everything was perfect. But I believe that I wont revisit because I didn’t like the ambiance and design of the restaurant. It was very dark and depressing. I would return to the Afternoon tea at Savoy because the ambiance is really vibrant and lovely.

After staying for 3 nights it was everything and more. Impossible to fault. Service , staff , food and cocktails amazing. The American bar was worth the trip itself, understated, classy but very welcoming. The food in the Savoy grill was served as well as it was cooked , intense flavours and the Beef Wellington was to die for . The breakfast although expensive had to be the best I've ever had. How you can extract so much flavour from a tomato or a mushroom is beyond me, and the pastries ...so light and buttery . The whole place is special, a world many people can only dream of but a place we were welcomed with open arms and treated as any other guest. In a word, memorable
A.
The service was attentive, and the tarte tatin exceptional. However, the rocket side salad was very salty, and the rest of the food quite average. The restaurant decor was nice, but lacked any kind of atmosphere or ambience.

We were staying at The Savoy and wanted to try the Savoy Grill on our Wedding anniversary. From start to finish everything was excellent, Carlos our waiter , what a lovely chap, Masahito the Head Sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly, a real education for me in wines. The chap who prepared the Rum baba at our table, sorry cannot recall the name but equally engaging and a delight to watch. As for the food, we had The Taste of Savoy men and all courses were excellent. Special mention for beef wellington and haddock souffle.
Will be back for sure, go for the taste menu.

We went there for our 30th wedding anniversary. Ambience was fabulous, staff was helpful and service was good. Food was good but pricy. Soda bread was excellent, we really enjoyed that. We were given a congratulatory treat, which was very nice of them. Overall it was a great experience.
S. M.
Totally blown away with this restaurant and the Savoy. Service was 1st class and more and the food and drinks are also 1st class. Can't wait to return 🥰
j. s.
We had a champagne lunch booked through virgin days out. I guess it's everything you'd expect and more. The food was exceptional and the service way beyond anything we'd experienced before. My only gripe was that all the staff spoke quietly and as I'm hard of hearing I had to constantly ask my wife what was being said.
But that apart. I would definitely recommend 👌

Gordon Ramsay's restaurant at the Savoy is outstanding. Went for breakfast. We had X2 eggs benedict, X2 orange juice, toast each, X2 pots of tea and still water. It came to around £65. I can honestly say that's the most I've ever spent on breakfast, but then it is the most important meal of the day 😂
But you buy the experience of London's finest dining.
While we were there, they had cameras up ready to film a table for "The Apprentice". That added to the experience 😁👍
Definitely recommend
A. B.
Great breakfast experience - even with 4 noisy children. Food was superb, service impeccable - could not do enough for us to make our experience the best. Yes, it's expensive but it's not the every day. I've Been to so many of the Gordon Ramsay associated restaurants, and never had a bad experience. Well worth every penny! Thank you for a great experience!
K. G.
Definitely a dining experience that must be sampled once in your life. The staff are excellent, always on hand but never too invasive. The food is of the highest standard and delicious to the last bite.
S. M.
Wow! What an experience its a must do for anyone who wants the taste of luxury surrounded by timeless beautiful decor and amazing staff. We took a tour of London in a chauffeur driven Mercedes as an add on and it was worth the extra cost. If you're gonna do it! Do it properly 🙏😃👍🌺😍 Gordon should be very proud of his chefs and staff 👍

We have arrived at the restaurant hoping for an amazing experience. You know, hearing all of those amazing things about Gordon Ramsay, best restaurant in London, and possibly one of the best in the world, you come with certain expectations.
The only excellent thing about our visit was the service. Very polite and to a top notch standard.
The food… the duck was hard, I could barely cut it with a knife. Whole lobster good in taste, but definitely not worth £80.
Overall, there are better restaurants in the same price range if you want to experience a luxurious meal. Most likely won’t be returning…
A. N.
A first class experience. The food was outstanding and the service was second to none. It was expensive but you get what you pay for. We would have stayed longer except my husband found the circular seating very uncomfortable, like cinema seats.
K. S.
Slightly disappointing!
Like another review suggested it depends on what dishes you've order relates to how good it is.
Firstly service started a bit slow as we waited for a waiter, then we was approached asking what dishes we'd like to order, we asked would it be possible to order a drink and see the wine list first.
The wine list is extensive and you will need 5-10 mins to breeze over its 44 pages!
Didn't really like too many of the starters so not all of our party ordered them. Pumpkin Veloute was ok.
For Mains we ordered 2 pork and a dover sole.
We found the pork average and the fish a bit over cooked for our liking. All mains were a good size and side dishes were excellent.
Apparently the beef Wellington is amazing here and the signature dish but unfortunately it's only served for two people.
Staff polite and professional.
Also the back ground music playing didn't really suit the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Would revisit and give the beef Wellington a try.

Tonight I was treated to a birthday meal by my son. Wow! What a beautiful experience. The restaurant, the food, the impeccable service. I could go on. I started with the chicken liver and foie gras pate, followed by the beef Wellington and finished with the Rumbaba. I was treated to the experience of watching it being prepared for me by our table. Delicious!
Earlier on, I had told Fabrizio, our waiter/server that this night was my birthday treat and was given a wonderful surprise after our meal of a soft chocolate mousse with Happy Birthday written in gold on a slice of chocolate. My heart ❤️. I was told I was going to have a great night and that was what it was. I've never felt so spoilt as I was. Thank you for the best time. A night I shall never forget.
P. W.
Setting is absolutely Lovely,
The food for me was a mixed bag for me, the starter wasn’t fantastic, duck was amazing, but the desert lacked texture.
The salt mill on the table fell apart, whilst in use and hit on my plate, which had sauce on and went on my shirt.
Not a massive complaint If I had been in a Harvester.
Not the end of the world, but don’t expect thing like this to happen in Gordon Ramsey restaurant. Only pointing this out so you can improve. Probably get staff to double check these before settings.
So unfortunately has to be a 3 star this time round. I won’t let this stop me coming back, as I’ve been to Gordon Ramsey’s at the Claridge’s back in the day and loved it.
EDIT: I’ve got to be honest I’m shocked and surprised that management don’t reply to this reviews. I find it extremely rude and ignorant.
G. E.
Bring your bank manager with you. I was charged £12 for soup whe. I asked if I could change on the menu as I didnt like cheese.
Instead of swapping they charged extra ... naughty!!!
But a fantastic experience despite this.

I visited here on 03-03-22 with a good friend of mine for lunch.
The food was delicious and well presented. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Staff were warm, friendly and only to happy to engage us in conversation to put us at our ease to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, catering for our needs and being attentive.
Thank you to all the staff that we came into contact on the day, you helped make our day feel special, it was an absolute pleasure to have visited. We hope to return in the not too distant future.
C. C.
Lovely lunch in a very lovely setting. Food was amazing and service very attentive
Y. N.
The food was tasty despite I started having an upset stomach afterwards, perhaps it was me have a slightly more sensitive stomach. There is something more I would like to share, we had an interesting waiter that he suggested I should have a side dish with a lunch set because he said the portion IS quite small. Turned out I couldn't finish it at all, so I told him the foods are great but I hardly can finish them, he said very amusingly to me- Couldn't you FINISHED them?
NO! I HAVE TRIED MY BEST!
I personally would recommend another restaurant if you are not keen to have beef Wellington.
S. K.
We had a meal at the chefs table. Possibly one of the best meals iv ever had. We were looked after so well and was such a pleasure to meet everyone. We will be sure to be back soon. Thankyou for such a memorable evening it was truly magnificent
C. C.
Fantastic service, servers were brilliant, very knowledgeable and recommended the perfect bottle of Champagne to go with our meal, catered extremely well to my diary allergy, honestly cannot fault in any way at all, highly recommend.
C. E.
Absolutely brilliant evening. The food was 10/10 (we had the beef Wellington experience). Relaxed and professional. The staff were fun and great with us, especially Fabrizio. Great service, great venue, great food.
J. B.
Loved it could have done with more sandwiches, the waitress and waiter were lovely they looked after us.
The food was good so was the champagne
J. A.
Absolutely wonderful food and service. Obviously it's quite an expensive restaurant but everything was just so good. We had the Chateaubriand which was exquisite
C. K.
Definitely a must. The service, food, setting just excellent. Love the art decor, with the booth seating all around. Loved it
S. W.
Thank you so much for a great evening. The staff were very welcoming and of course Thierry being the amazing friendly host that he is made it even more of an enjoyable experience. The Beef Wellington was exquisite… will definitely be returning again and again
J. S.
Yesterday I had a lovely experience. We start we the hostess very polite and professional to take our coats off and save them in a special place. PETER made our night so nice. He recommended a lovely wine for the food that we had. The service and timings were excellent. Francesco also looked after us, we had a lovely chatting. About the food this is something super, we were expecting something big, but with this level? It was from another world. They also maintain the cleaningness of the table, doesn't matter if you are in startes or deserts, they will keep your table tidy and clean. Another fact that surprised me was the runners, they made a great job. My suggestion it would be to put a badge with your name to be recognised for. You all have a great staff and happy, nice environment and after all the staff it's the one that makes the experience.
Thank you all for everything and for this great service. It's something that you need to be proud!!
E. C.
Absolutely delicious, first class service and Christmas dinner to never forget!
M. K.
English Breakfast, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent as expected. Faultless.
J. M.
Very good place to eat, beef wellington a mist, not cheap but you get what you pay for
D. G.
Exquisite dinner. Had the 3 course set menu and wow!!!! What amazing value and service. A*****
A.
Truly exceptional dining. Only took 1 photo because we were so engrossed in the experience the duck a l’orange was the best I’ve ever tasted.
R.
Brilliant experience, great service, fantastic food and courteous staff.
The decor and ambience was tops!
M. C.
Beef Wellington was very tasty and tender, I really advise to try this!
W. J.
Great ambiance, the service is exceptional and the food is so well presented its almost too good to eat, but when you do you know why this is such a great place to eat.
i. u.
The venue is world renowned and a fantastic experience. Service is second to none. The food is fantastic. Designed by Gordon Ramsey, and prepared by top Chefs. If I could have given it 7 Stars, I would have!
A. M.
Amazing service amazing food would recommend highly to anyone will definitely be going back ! Well done to the fabulous staff x
J. T.
Treated for my 50th what a amazing place. You just can't fault this place. A return is definitely on the cards.
E. S.
Very sad to advise that after a long Covid delay and much anticipated Wedding Anniversary meal we can only give this just three stars. Exceptional food and wine totally as expected but a very disappointing service. We were totally forgotten after main course which appeared to be a staff shift change. There was nobody around to even try to ask if we could order desert. Eventually someone arrived after an unacceptable delay and acknowledged we had been left waiting but no apology and on looking at the bill deducted the cost of just two coffees. We were really looking forward to this dining experience. Totally surprised and left flat and underwhelmed with no desire to return. Not the review I had anticipated to write before dining.
S. K.
Lovely restaurant, fantastic service, brilliant food, a must if you're in town.
H. F.
I wish this place was better, deserves it.. food feels corporate.. Wellington seems like it's bought from a production company, the layers were too compressed.. probably a sign of being stored at low temperatures for a long time..
Desserts were ok.. feels like the chef isn't emphasizing the flavours of the dishes. Good luck, I can't see Ramsay holding onto this for long (or Savoy holding on to him)
Lovely hotel, lots of potential in that restaurant..
M. D.
Dined here for breakfast last week. When seated, it took a long time for anyone to give us a menu. Once the menus were provided, we attempted to catch eye contact for about 10 mins just to order coffees. Coffees turned up 10 mins later. The breakfast itself was delightful - incredibly tasty. Shame the service is so slow.

My daughter is a big fan of Gordon Ramsay after watching Masterchef Junior. She has learnt so much just from watching Chef Ramsay! So for her 8yo birthday, we surprised her with dinner reservation at his famous Savoy Grill for his very famous Beef Wellington!
We were told that Chef Ramsay was just in Savoy Grill that morning, 27th July (OMG!). It would have been a perfect present for her if she got the chance to meet him!
The experience was at first fantastic. The beef was a melt in your mouth experience, soft and juicy. But she very quickly concluded that she didn't enjoy the pastry as it was soggy and mushy. We later realised that it appears that the Parma ham might have been missing thus causing the pastry to soak in all the moisture. Sadly, didnt get the best experience of Chef Ramsay's Beef Wellington.
We also had the Duck a l'orange and it was delicious! Another check off the list of entrée that she really wanted to try.
All the staff were super friendly thus making our 1st visit to the Savoy Grill a memorable one. The Restaurant Director made his round ensuring we were all comfortable and well looked after. He took time to talk with us, especially our daughter! Took our dining experience to a whole new level. Thank you Savoy Grill team!

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday, and all I can say it’s the best meal I’ve ever had. From the amazing service to the food, I couldn’t recommend it more. We will definitely be back!

Excellent 3 course lunch received as a gift. Would definitely recommend.

We came here for my partner's birthday meal. The interior presents, a wonderful "Art Deco" style, and pure opulence as we expected. However, we were a little disappointed with our first point of contact in the Savoy Grill. The lady booking us in seemed a little vague as to what we should do, as our table wasn't quite ready even though we were on-time. She gestured for us to sit in the lobby somewhere and wait. It just didn't feel like the kind of welcome we would have expected. This could be improved, such as showing us where we could wait or direct us to one of the bars to wait there so at least we could have a drink.
The main course (Beef Wellington) was wonderful, the staff very attentive and accommodating. We would definitely come back again to sample more of Mr Ramsay's menu. Please think about making your guests feel more welcome when they first arrive though.
My only other suggestion for anyone booking is to try and acquire/request a table next to the wall looking into the restaurant. Due to the design and layout, the central tables feel less personal as you have diners looking at you from the tables next to the wall. However, this is entirely dependant on the other diners.
M. N.
Excellent. We come back here every year for my birthday. It is the best dining experience in London. The ambience is beautiful. We always feel welcomed, well taken care of and the food is simply exquisite. Highly recommend.
Y. C.
The service and environment were beyond great. Staffs were very professional and welcoming from start to finish. We came for the Beef Wellington and it was absolutely amazing, did not disappoint. Was delighted to be one of their first guests after their reopening. Will definitely visit again in the future.
A. A.
Such an elegant restaurant inside the famous Savoy Hotel. The service is excellent and the dishes taste great. I highly recommend the Savoy Grill if you have a special occasion or if you are inviting friends or business acquaintances.
S. D.
It's not difficult to describe this place and two words will sum it up easily, pure class. Firstly, the staff were amazing very attentive without being overbearing which sounds an easy thing to achieve but I have been to restaurants before who fail to get this balance right. The restaurant itself is almost like a time machine with pictures of the stars of the past staring back at you as you eat and the art deco style taking you back to roaring 20s.
The food was unbelievably good and my wife who has a gluten allergy was looked after very well indeed. I had a glass of wine which I can honestly say was the best Pinot Noir I have ever tasted and as we speak I'm trying to track down a bottle for myself but not having much luck.
All in all a very positive fine dining experience which we will remember for years to come.
E. F.
Nice experience and great service but disappointed by the non exceptional food.
Expensive (had prix fixe lunch) for what it was.
Pork belly was a bit bland… I expected more..
The setting and the hotel itself make it an exceptional experience, but Ramsey should not need to rely on that for it to be worth going….
C. L.
Attentive service & amazing food. Would love to go again for afternoon tea as that area of the hotel was especially beautiful
D. A.
Food is absolutely phenomenal and the services matches. Robert was fantastic shared a lot of knowledge of the venue. Made for a great start to the day. The Eggs Escoffier was delicious.
S. D.
Food good but limited as bought a voucher through red letters . 2 starters .4 main and 2 deserts to choose from and champagne to start with . Nice room and helpful staff .
S. H.
Felt a little bit in inadequate and awkward at first but after having the fine wine started to enjoy it tremendously. Would recommend and have another visit. Staff was so friendly and professional but not stuck up which made the whole experience perfect. Thank you.
L. G.
We went on an experience that was a 3 course meal for £45 plus service .. of you were fussy it wouldn’t suit .. but I thought my three courses were delicious especially desert! It’s a shame the sides are not included I would rather pay all in, in the first instance. We wasn’t hurried and the service was fabulous.. a little back ground music would be a suggestion
M. C.
Great experience, felt like we were going back in time . Food was good but not exceptional. Service was OK. Price was about what you would expect for the location. All in all a good lunch experience
S. H.
I had breakfast and it was exceptional service and the breakfast was very good. It was definitely a treat to myself and really added something special to my London trip.
H. C.
From the moment we stepped through the door we had a fanrastic time - from the excellent service from everyone to the wonderful food - such a treat. Loved the decor and ambience too. Would love to go back again - anytime!
B. W.
A great experience and well worth the visit. The service was excellent and very attentive, I wish we had left it until our wedding anniversary, or a birthday!
The food was 1st class and tasty. The Confit Of Duck was very tasty and the taste of the Orange sauce had a sweet but a taste of Oranges which did not overpower the dish. The Roast Cod was perfect and just fell apart and melted in the mouth.
C. B.
My special birthday present! What a treat made to feel very special! I loved it 😍
A. F.
What an amazing lunch we had. My husband and I and my 11 year old son had a great time. We had a Virgin experience voucher for a three course lunch for 2, and I was thinking the set menu would be a bit limited and the service for those with a voucher would be different - but not so, the fixed price menu was limited in choices but the food tasted great. Chicken and black pudding terrine and cod for main, it was so good. My husband had the duck and that was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. My son had a dish from the children's menu, and an amazing chocolate dessert from the main menu, which he loved. The staff are so friendly, we will definitely go again. I mentioned that I was starting a new job and a beautiful chocolate mini dessert appeared at the table. My son said he is ordering from the main menu next time, maybe we will go without him! I have to mention the soda bread - I couldn't let it go, the waiter was wanting to clean the table and was joking with me about the bread -it was so good I wanted to finish it but I couldn't. We left very full and very happy.
C. L. (.
We had a buyagift voucher for a 3 course meal with champagne that we were finally able to use last week and the Savoy Grill didn’t disappoint! Whilst the options on the prix fixe menu were somewhat limited, the food was good, service excellent and the setting luxurious and rich in history which we found to be a wonderful combination! Although the next time we dine here, we’ll definitely be checking out the a la carte menu. Also, service charge wasn’t included so that and extra drinks were payable. We were staying on Park Lane and got a Taxi to The Savoy (paid £16) but then decided to have a bit of an adventure on the way back and caught the number 6 bus back to The Dorchester which was great fun! All in all, a fantastic day out and perhaps whilst not being Michelin star food, the ambience and setting made it a very special day indeed.
D. J.
Lovely meal for my 40th
Also top service from the waiters
Gave me a free little birthday cake
А. К.
One of my favorite places! Tasty food, great atmosphere, super helpful and friendly stuff. Definitely recommend for everyone to visit!
S. B.
Very disappointed on my last visit to the Savoy Grill.
Celeriac Veloute was not warm enough although very tasty. Beef Wellington again not hot enough but tasted ok. Our table was opposite the entrance to kitchen even though the restaurant was empty because of Storm Eunice.
Eaten there many times in the past this was the not one of my best visits. Staff as usual were excellent.
P. L.
Had a wonderful lunch here with my girlfriend this week. We were one of the early ones and shown to a great table, a corner booth with a view of most of the restaurant. Service was fantastic, professional but friendly. An amazing Humphrey Bogart cocktail was a great way to start and it was smiles all the way from thereon. Food was excellent accompanied by a fabulous Chardonnay and we felt in no way rushed, just totally relaxed from start to finish in the wonderful surroundings. You'll need your big boy wallet here but for an occasional and indulgent treat this place takes some beating.
C. W.
An absolutely amazing experience. The food was excellent the service was five star would definitely recommend. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and was given a little treat after dessert. The wine list was endless and what we picked was lovely. Will definitely be returning
L. B.
Amazing as always. The food the atmosphere doesn't get much better. What makes it really amazing is Fabrizio. I have never had service like this before. Informative, helpful, engaging without being intrusive. Personal, funny he is one of the reasons we keep coming back.
Thank you and happy holidays.
J. S.
A belated valentines lunch with my husband after buying him a voucher for 3 courses and a glass of champagne each.
The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant really welcoming and cosy.
The only negative was the sommelier's attitude when I questioned the glasses of champagne as he said he had no knowledge of them. He snatched the voucher out of my hand and walked off, he was gone so long I had to ask someone else. When he returned and served our wine he was grumpy and didn't speak. He conversed with others so it must have been us who were a problem.
The rest of the staff who looked after us were fantastic, particularly Fabrizio and Thierry.
Everyone looked after us so well it was not just going out for a meal it was an experience.
My husband is a chef and very fussy, our meal was outstanding. I think that is the first time he has eaten out and not found a single fault.
We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
M. R.
For a birthday treat we visited the Savoy Grill for the first time. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and looked after. The service was exceptional. The legendary restaurant director Thierry Tomasin personally welcomed us as well !
The hotel is decorated beautifully for Christmas. This year with a wishing well in the central foyer. The Grill itself is a spacious dining room tastefully designed and with comfortable seating.
We chose to have the fixed price festive lunch. This was to be spectacular. Each course was full of flavour and uniquely presented. The "theatre" was completed by wonderful drinks and artisan bread and the service was perfectly paced.
I had the chicken liver parfait. The taste and texture was simply the best starter I have ever had. The main course was a turkey roast dinner but with unique twists. The desert I had was Christmas pudding ice cream, a brandy sauce, and with a pain perdu. It was perfect.
The cost was very good value. It is the ideal place to go for a special celebration. We will be returning and can't wait to try more of the excellent dishes on the menu. We returned home happy, full and with a wonderful memory. Thank you to all the staff.

Went for Lunch after receiving a Virgin experience day gift for my birthday. And it definitely lived up to my expectations. The food, service and stuff where all top notch. I’ll definitely go back… one day!
A. M.
What a fabulous experience. The food was amazing, the service first class and the atmosphere just perfect. The staff, well you'd love to go for a beer with them they we such great fun.
J. P.
Went for lunch. Warm friendly welcome from all staff. Lovely comfortable table. Great ambience and fantastic food.
S. G.
My partner had been given a voucher for the fixed price lunch menu back in March on his 60th. As soon as it reopened, we booked.
From start to finish, service was impeccable, all the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, there for you, but not all over you. We were given a friendly greeting at the door, our voucher taken, sanitizer offered & shown to our table. Water offered, champagne poured & time given for us to take in our surroundings, toast with our champers & decide on our menu options. We ordered a very nice bottle of Chablis, having considered a Sancerre and our choice was good. I had the veloute and my partner had the terrine for starters, followed by us both ordering the Cornish pollack. Deserts, hazelnut and chocolate Paris - Brest and Cashel blue cheese and walnut bread. Excellent choices, we had 2 sides, mash and the Cornish greens, only actually needed the mash to complete the mains. The flavours, the textures, the sauces were exemplary, absolutely delicious. On check back i told the waiter, the only downside was that the veloute, the mains & sides were luke warm, even the mash in it's metal server was only warm. Had the plates been hotter, maybe the food may have stayed a little hotter. But in NO WAY did this change the fact that the whole meal was just lovely, our compliments and thanks to all of the staff working lunch Thursday 8th October.
We finished with a glass of red for the cheese and I had an Espresso Martini there as the American Bar was closed. We finished the afternoon with a photo of me outside the ground floor lift, which was once the public phone area and message desk where I worked all those years ago ! Looking forward to a return visit to the Savoy Grill before Christmas.

Fantastic dining experience you don't have to own a Rolls Royce to dine here great for that special treat for your loved ones.
Food, service and ambiance could not fault it and will definitely be booking again.
Was glad to be one of there first guest after the current situation closure.
Dined 21/09/20 7pm
Thanks again to all the staff that made my partners 40th birthday one to remember.

Honestly one of the nicest dining experiences we've ever had. I bought mum the virgin exeprience for a meal here and despite being on the fixed menu I felt like we treated equally to all the other guests. Some of the most wonderful food I've ver eaten. And the service was exemplary, I've never seen such professionalism. 5 stars...no complaints. Will definitely be returning.

We had an absolutely fantastic lunch, the food, wine, service and ambiance were spot on.
If nothing else, this restaurant understands that they only get one chance to make every aspect of your experience enjoyable and the implications to the customer if they get anything wrong. That approach makes it a winner.
I can’t wait to return.

Iconic. Bastion of elegance, ambience and service. Grilled Sole, perfectly cooked. Nicely paired w/ Sauvignon Blanc. The experience is not cheap but well worth the expense.

Came here for breakfast on fathers day, setting was lovely and staff very attentive and could not do enough for you.
Breakfast menu though was pretty limited with nothing special or out of the ordinary on offer, pancakes were very nice and great value, however the full English was just average, certainly no better than the one I had the day before in a Bognor Regis Cafe for £5.

6 of us have just returned from lunch at the Savoy Grill.Four of the party ordered duck as their main course. Each plate had just half a breast together with a small sauce boat of jus. We're not complaining about the price {£45 ) side dishes extra, but to visit such a grand British institution one expects a higher standard .As a desert I ordered a Rumbaba which was flambed at the table ,???? I write not in anger but in disappointment. The service was pleasant if not highly professional

20th wedding anniversary lunch 21.10.21. What an absolutely fantastic place to spend a special occasion. Food was absolutely delicious, staff were lovely and really attentive and the Savoy has a beautiful atmosphere. We had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be going back. Thank you to all the staff who made our lunch date so magical.

A wonderful treat....Great service, as you would expect, from the lovely Robert.

Been in the UK for nearly three months, having watch so many videos of hell kitchen and kitchen nightmare on the YouTube, I finally had the chance to get a taste of Gordon Ramsay’s hotel.
Start with the appetizer, the lobster bisque has a strong sense of sea flavor and lobster scent. Kind of too strong for me though. My fiend ordered the oysters, and he really liked them, saying they are extremely fresh.
Next, the signature dish of Gordon- Beef Wellington. Note that the dish was shared by two people. The fillet in the middle is so tender, and because of the nature of fillet which doesn’t has fat with it, you won’t feel strong scent like the normal steak. The flavor would be mostly from goose liver. The texture of the meat along with the flavor was intriguing, and very nice. However, for me, I still more like the scent of steak and some chewy texture it. Therefore, I think next time I’ll order rump steak or rib eye.
Any way, the overall experience was fantastic, I really like the food and also the dessert. The service was nice, and the surroundings is comfortable. Even saw Nicolas Cage in the corner. Definitely give it a shot for those who have never try beef Wellington before.

We had breakfast here whilst staying at The Savoy and everything was as expected. Service was top notch, all the staff were very polite, attentive and pleasant. We could not fault them at all. My wife wanted to substitute a few items in her breakfast and this was no problem at all. My wife also noted her egg yolks looked golden as opposed to the pale yellow ones we get from the supermarket, I wonder if Gordo ensures no 'wimp' eggs get through. My Omelette Arnold Bennett was exquisite, rich and full of flavour, I am sure the man himself would have been proud. Everything was spot on and for £50 for breakfast for two it was also good value for money. Definitely worth visiting and despite some negative press we only have good things to say about The Savoy Grill and it's staff.
A. W.
An excellent dining experience all round. From the cocktails on arrival to the delicious food and wonderful service . The smoked haddock soufle and steak tartare starters were so flavoursome. Our mains of Lobster and guinea fowl were equally delicious. An excellent choice for that special occasion.
R. N.
Not many choices only 2 main courses for prepaid and 1 for additional cost
Food nevertheless was good as were the staff.
Early lunch however meant little atmosphere
Thought a little over priced
J. S.
Excellent service, great attention to detail and helpful advice. That day they were about to serve halal Fillet Steak and easily the best steak I've ever had
j. d.
What can you say? Before you even got to the restaurant the drive up the iconic savoury hotel driveway blows us mind! The restaurant itself doesn't disappoint at all! Beautiful art deco design with all the original fittings! Intimate lighting and colour just adds to the ambience of the settings! The food is unbelievable, we had the beef welington and it's every bit as good as it's made out to be and more! They really can't do enough for you, fantastic service and attitude of the staff makes the night! Bravo
A. H.
Absolutely loved this place. We had cocktails in the American Bar before proceeding into the Grill for our anniversary meal. Service was attentive but not overly so and the food superb. As one of the premier places in London it ticks every box and you can see why it's so popular. Highly recommended and we will return.
K. O.
My son paid for 3 course champagne lunch for my birthday, absolutely outstanding service and attention to detail, topped my a celebratory birthday treat.
S. T.
I’ve tried The Savoy recently, their food is so tasty and it has nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
S. C.
Dined at The Savoy Grill to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. Food, ambience etc. was good but his birthday was not acknowledged and after our waiter finished his shift two thirds through our meal, things went downhill rapidly. Meal was expensive, compounded by being charged for two courses that we didn't have. Not what I expected I'm afraid. Rules and AquaShard werebetter all round.
S. W.
Food was sublime! Juiciest steak I have ever eaten. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was grand. Will definitely be coming again.
H. D.
Very nice interior with a nice atmosphere. We went on lunch and tasted seasonal menu. As this was our first time we were very nervous. Staff was lovely and very welcoming. The waitress that was helping us throughout the orders was quick and very warm-hearted. The food looked like as beautiful as a painting and it was also delicious. The drink’s menu offered the best champagnes and wines. It was an unforgettable experience.
H. P.
Couldn't be more pleased with my experience, wonderful food and absolutely amazing service! The whole experience was excellent!
M. H.
A night to remember!
Took my boyfriend there for his 30th birthday, as it was a dream of his to try the legendary Beef Wellington.
We were not disappointed.
The food was absolutely delicious!
I had a Frogra for a starter and honestly, it ruined all future pates I ever tried, it was just SO good!!
Then we had the Wellington, my boyfriend enjoyed it very much.
And for desert we had Mille-feuille, a favorite sweet treat of mine.
Fine dining at it's best!
P. S.
Very friendly service and delicious food, We got a virgin experience day as a present. The signature dish is beef Wellington and it was delightful.
A. h.
Savoy was stunning, staff were so nice, food was to die for and even had our picture with Gordon and Sean and both took time for us
N. C.
We had breakfast in the Savoy grill to celebrate our joint birthdays. Fabrisio who served us went over and above to make our experience memorable. Fabulous setting and staff we can't wait to come back for lunch at the grill
N.
Decadent dining experience. Visited on a busy Friday night with a friend and wow what a night. We had a table from 21:15 and received the best service I've ever had.
The food was incredible, timed perfectly. While it is expensive, it's worth every penny. You're sat for at least two hours and get everything you need. Amazing free bread and butter, attentive wait staff and gorgeous drinks.
Please take the plunge and visit the Savoy Grill. It's an unforgettable experience you'll relive over and over again. We had the taste of Savoy menu - fully recommend!
W. C.
This was our first time and definitely will not be our last. The decor was amazing, the service was second to none and the food was out of this world!
I actually proposed to my now fiance after the meal in the posh lobby area so this was an extra special evening for us.
Thank you Savoy for making it such a memorable night.
G. J.
Food is incredible if you order the right thing 🙂
A. S.
Amazing food, with great service. Our dining experience was beyond exceptions.
L. C.
What a wonderful experience my husband and I had at this restaurant. Reminded me very much of The Ritz. Very classy and fantastic place. Lovely buzzy dining room. Staff were all fabulous, helpful and extremely friendly. We had the 7 course tasting menu plus the wineflight. The whole menu was amazing, very well put together menu. Great balance of flavours and great fresh ingredients. Would love to return again. Highly recommend for special occasions
G. W.
Amazing night at The Savoy Grill! We went for the Taste Of Savoy menu and each course was delicious. Thierry and the rest of the staff are really friendly and fun and enhanced the experience too. We'll worth a visit and I'll certainly be back!
E. S.
I loved the whole experience at Savoy grill. The food was delicious, especially the beef wellington - it was the best I've ever had. Also, customer service was brilliant. Fabrizio took care of us and his manners were outstanding. Thank you Gordon Ramsay :)
J. S.
Missed Gordon Ramsey by five minutes! GreaT experience and the beef Wellington 😍
S. A.
I went here as a present for my sister's 50th. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were excellent. We had Sunday lunch and had to pay £20 each supplement for the beef. As this was bought from an experience web site It was a set menu but not much to choose from. So as we are not vegetarian and we don't eat fish that was the only other choice. The food was nothing special to be honest and it cost £200.00 for the two of us with two drinks each. I won't be going back. For the cost I think I could of got her something which would of had a better memory.
H. d. G.
We had the Kitchen Table Experience and it truly was a unforgettable evening. A private room watching the chefs work their magic, 7 delicious courses explained in detailed by the chefs themselves, wines paired by the Somalia and our lovely host (Anna) answering all our questions and treating us like royalty. We even got to look around the kitchens after service and chat to the team, who really couldn’t have been more accommodating. An experience we will treasure for a long time. Well done Savoy Grill! *****
M. C.
My wife and I went for lunch today (27th Aug) and we had an amazing 3 courses with drinks. The food was so delicious and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was Robert and he added to the experience by being very friendly and great with his service. Will definitely dine there again.
A. S.
If you want to taste and experience a classic British restaurant with excellent cuisine then definitely visit The Savoy Grill.
The staff were friendly, cheerful and really looked after us on a busy night.
The chefs are highly skilled, wow the steaks are just perfect.
Amazing drinks selection.
Look forward to visiting The Savoy Grill again.
P.
A magical fine dining experience in delightful surroundings with wonderful staff, divine food and excellent wines. Unhurried and feeling pampered, we opted for the cheeseboard and a dessert and savoured every moment! A truly wonderful evening!
A. H.
What a treat. Went for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Possibly the best oysters and beef Wellington ever! The only reason 4 and not 5 stars, is the turnover and bookings mean you get moved off the table quickly( albeit very discreetly and professionally!) But worth a visit
J. J.
My second visit ( last time was about 2 and a half years ago) Lovely art deco surroundings, staff excellent. Food delicious, I had the duck with an orange BBQ sauce followed by an apple tart tatin. However if your looking for value for money this is the Savoy after all and you pay a premium for that alone. Hence the 4 stars. But it's worth spoiling oneself occasionally.
a. S.
Absolutely beautiful meal in the Savoy. When in the Savoy grill I had to have the Beef Wellington,it was perfect. Fabulous staff, extremely helpful and very friendly. Can't wait to return on our next visit to London
K. S.
Great place. Reasonable price to service. Food just amazing and so delicious. Thanks for all of the waitress and stuff helpful and friendly. Definitely come back.
D. W.
The hotel is exquisite.
We had dinner in the grill, the food was unbelievable, cooked to perfection. Very expensive but worth every penny.
On the down side, there is no dress code. My son and I arrived in black tie and my wife in an evening dress,we felt overdressed compared to the other guests but right for our surroundings.
D. B.
Beautiful restaurant, staff were great, food quality was excellent. However, beware of the hidden extras!! We had a Virgin voucher which cost £99 for the set 3 course lunchtime menu, for two people, including a glass of champagne on arrival (which was literally two small sips). What’s not included in the deal was the side dishes at £7 each for a small dish of posh mashed (purée) potatoes, small bucket of chips or a salad. The house wine was £9.50p for a very small glass of either red, white or rosé. Bottles of wine started around £60. A bottle of still water was £6, and then to top it off, they slap on an “optional service charge”, which in our case was £20.70p!! I have read other reviews claiming that if you question this service charge and pay less, then the whole attitude of the staff changes completely towards you!! Overall, a very enjoyable experience, however, the 3 star rating is completely down to the issues previously mentioned. If you are thinking of buying this deal for loved ones, please make sure that they are aware of the additional charges involved!!

Celebrated my Mum's birthday early (6:30pm) on a Sunday evening. Service and food both excellent. We had the Cornish Crab and Lobster Bisque appetizers and then Lamb Chops and the Beef Wellington for main. The Beef was particularly good. Some champagne and red wine rounded out an enjoyable meal. The restaurant was quiet (nice) even when it became more busy towards 8pm. We sat at Winston Churchill's regular table next to the fireplace. Recommended.

Best meal I have ever had. Really was quite special
l.
We visited for an early Sunday dinner. Given how difficult it was to get a booking, it was not a surprise to see that the restaurant was totally full, even though it was before 6pm. Myself and my wife tried the Arnold Bennett soufflé and pumpkin veloute to start, followed by the signature beef wellington for mains, finishing with the apple tarte tatin and chocolate delice. We were dining with our young kids, and the kids menu had a decent selection. The food was pretty good on the whole, we enjoyed all the items we tried. Desserts were probably the highlight, but the beef wellington was very nice as well.
Service was very quick, which we prefer, but perhaps it was due to the 1.5 hour time limit on tables before 6pm. The bill came to £313, of which £100 was spent on drinks. The drinks prices did seem a bit high, even for hotel standards, but the food was as expected.
This place gets a surprising amount of bad reviews. I would conclude that it was a pleasant meal in nice surroundings, we enjoyed ourselves, but at this price point there are certainly more exciting venues you could go to in London.
N. O.
What a great experience. 10/10 for all the meals on the tasting menu (the beef wellington is worth every penny). I've got to commend the service we got from Francesco. Top notch! Best I've received so far.
C. M.
Went on Thursday 29/7 @ 1200
Would definitely recommend. A bit of luxury to treat yourselves too.The food, service and experience was excellent. Even remembered I was a lefty when I changed the cutlery when we first sat down. We both throughly enjoyed our afternoon dining experience and would like to thank all the staff for making it a perfect day.
A. G.
We came for lunch for two. This was our third time and it was absolutely sublime. The qualty of the service is probably the finest in England and it is so pleasing to be looked after by skilled, professional and welcoming staff. The food and wine were excellent as always and we look forward to another dining experience at this wonderful place .
J. G.
Me and my wife went for afternoon lunch and it was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The service was first class as was the lunch.
Spotlessly clean.
Thanks to everybody who made it a great experience.
J. D.
A delightful champagne lunch with our family. We were treated to a delicious lunch. The staff whilst professional, were friendly & attentive. Fabulous experience in a stunning setting. We will return.
A. M.
This place has been on my bucket list for years and I made reservations months in advance to ensure I could get in. We decided to do the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was great and the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. The sommelier took the time to explain each wine and how they paired with the individual courses. Out of all of the wines, there was only one that I did not like (the port wine). The glazed omelette Arnold Bennett was everything. At first, I didn’t understand how it would fit in the meal, but it was very well done! The beef wellington is the main reason I wanted to eat here and it lived up to my expectations. I drowned it in the accompanying red wine jus lol. We even got a special treat during dessert. The Restaurant Director personally made our dessert tableside. Apparently, that’s very rare. This was an unforgettable experience and I’d love the opportunity to do it again.
k. r.
Well worth the wait lovely lunch
N. H.
Amazing food. Had the virgin experience days so only had to pay for drinks and sides. Expensive, but expected here. Staff were very friendly and attentive
D. L.
We chose the 7 course set menu for our visit and enjoyed the company of our waiter (Remy) and the presentation and care that was dedicated to the whole dining experience. The service was attentive and between all the portions you certainly have more than enough to eat. I would say that the vibe felt a bit touristy (perhaps not really a foodie destination, but high end / iconic dining for people who visit London), and that the courses were all very classic-- which isn't a criticism, but a note that the culinary approach perhaps isn't as imaginative or experimental as other flavour combinations that you would get from other restaurants at the same price point. All in all, a great classic meal for people who want a curated classic British dining experience. Staff also all were attuned to making it a special experience!
c. r.
Great location in the Savoy Hotel opposite the Savoy theatre as well, so great place for a meal and trip to the theatre. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with huge chandeliers and round tables. Food is well presented and prepared , though a little expensive with smaller portions
R. S.
Fantastic experience with great food and ambience to the restaurant area. Our waitress and waiter where very attentive and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you so much.
T. A.
I had a birthday dinner here and I highly recommend it. The service is just the kind you want for a special occasion, excellent! The ambience is lovely and with the good food makes an all together wonderful dining experience.
M. S.
Had a wonderful graduation dinner here last night - wonderful food and service and the congratulatory treat at the end was the cherry on top!
R. C.
A really memorable experience.
The grill was busy but the staff were really attentive. Food was outstanding. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Z. E.
Wonderful Easter dinner! Sit back and being pampered by deliciousness. I would have lick my plates clean if I were at home. Thank you Savoy grill team. Service was great, friendly and professional.
M. N.
Absolutely fantastic food, and the service was excellent.

I have had the pleasure to visit the Savoy Grill Sept 29th with my mother. My mom’s favorite chef is Gordon Ramsay. She loves everything Mr Ramsay does and so do I.
My mom’s other dream was to see and visit the Royal Albert Hall. Doing this got us almost 45 minutes late our reservation. I tried everything to get to the restaurant on time but I am not used to traffic in London unfortunately. When arrived at the S. Grill I apologized for being incredibly late and the lady at the reception was very kind and understanding. The other gentlemen working with her were making jokes so I wouldn’t feel as embarrassed. I felt welcome!
After taking our coats, the waiter took us to our table and heard me speak French. He then quickly sent us another waiter who spoke French. Before getting into my experience I want to acknowledge the space around a table for two. If you’ve just been shopping you’ll absolutely have enough space for your bags.
Our lovely French waiter made conversation as he handed us our menu. What I appreciated the most was the selection of side dishes. It is a detail that makes the difference.
Since I wanted us to try the famous Beef Wellington I ordered immediately and decided to skip the entrée. The preparation takes about 45 minutes. Our waiter said he would check with the chef if he had a little something for us. He asked if there was anything he should know about food allergies. I mentioned my mom’s dislike for fish. Everything felt so organized like we were the only one in the restaurant.
He came back with two little cups. He explained that it was a little soup made with so many ingredients I wouldn’t even be able to remember what they were.
Our Beef Wellington came and we had decided to go with Truffle mash potatoes. I would like to add that you’re eating with actual silver forks and knives.
You get two pieces of Beef Wellington which is quite big for one person to eat. I asked one of the waiter if it was possible to have my leftover wrapped to take it home. No dirty looks were given to me !
We felt like desert would be too much so I ordered 2 cappuccinos. When the cappuccinos came our waiter, Rémy, congratulated me for getting married and moving to the U.S. I looked at him quite shocked and asked how he knew. He politely answered that he knew everything and put a plate in front of me with the cutest little pie and the word “Congratulations” written with chocolate. It was the most elegant thing I had ever seen. My mom explained that while I was gone to the bathroom Rémy came to her and said he felt like this was a special day for us. My mom explained why we were in London for the day and he asked her what he could do to make a little more special.
I absolutely had the best time at The Savoy Grill. When you look around while waiting you see the staff running around like musicians playing a symphony. Nothing is left behind. You won’t see a waiter give a dirty look to another one. It’s like they read each other’s mind. I’m a middle class woman who was treated like a Duchess.
But I have to give my gratitude to where it’s due. Rémy made our experience as best as it could possibly be. He was so kind and made us feel at home. I was so grateful for his kindness, patience and attention to details. He didn’t have to go out of his way to make us happy. He could have just smiled and done the minimum.
Thanks to Rémy I will absolutely go back to the Savoy Grill. I will never go to London without stopping by the Savoy Grill or Hotel. It is a must!
If you go there following my comment, whether you speak French or not, request Rémy you won’t regret it !
K. S.
A lovely evening. Great gluten free options and very accommodating staff. Robert, our waiter, was very friendly and showed excellent knowledge of the menu. Will certainly be visiting again soon!
L. C.
Visit 3-Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant - Savoy Grill, the Beef Wellington and aged-rump steak are quite nice. The atmosphere inside is great as well!
A. H.
Never tasted such amazing food, and wonderful service.
K. M.
Fantastic dishes and good services. Personally like the Savoy Grill better than the Petrus. Savoy uses the grill by Jasper which is one of the best. Steak from their Jasper grill is awesome. Famous Gordon Ramsay beef Wellington is fantastic. Definitely would come back in the future.
M.
Had the tasting menu which was absolutely fantastic. Great portion sizes and each course was amazing. The beef wellington really is to die for. Pricey, but highly recommended.
D. C.
Went for a belated meal for my husband’s birthday, we arrived early, so sat and had a drink before being seated , lovely but the back of the banquette was really dusty ! Which I found surprising , as they pride themselves on little details, we both had beef Wellington, mine was delicious and melt in the mouth, my husband’s piece less so ..not helped by the blunt steak knife, the food was delicious and tasty, but lukewarm 😩 which meant you had to eat it quickly, which was a shame, as would have been nice to eat it at a leisurely pace , to enjoy the food and the ambiance of the grill , I did mention it to the waiter , but he just repeated what I said and walked away, desserts where ok .. Mille fuielle was without much filling, so difficult to eat , and not much flavour, my husband’s lemon tart and raspberries were unremarkable, we weren’t offered coffee, but we’re given some tasty lemon madeleines, the maitre D was extremely pleasant, but the rest of the staff were really miserable looking, no smiles at all ,so on the whole it was ok , would I go back? Probably not , sorry 😞
D. T. G.
This is an amazing restaurant at a legendary locale. If you have a chance to go, it’s well worth it.
H. Q.
We tried the Sunday grill set menu. I wished there was more meat. The Yorkshire pudding was great!
S. M.
When we arrived our table was not ready and told to wait not even offered a seat. Service was very slow to ask for drinks or even give us the menu for dinner to look at .
We ordered the Lamb and Saword fish . The pomme Puree was cold and I asked for more , the 2nd one was luke warm at best. The sauce for the fish never did arrive!. I asked for a jud of water and was given half a glass and did not come back to refill. The lamb was beautifully cook as was the fish BUT felt let down by the lack of attention on the sides and service. Deserts were amazing.
We have been to the Grill quite alot and was very disappointed yesterday. I am not sure if we will return .
C. A.
Went for breakfast while staying at The Savoy, very disappointed with the service. Slow & unattentive. The eggs benedict was quite dry, not nearly saucy enough. The cooked breakfast was nice, but was missing either black pudding or haggis. Breakfast next morning was in the savoy foyer and was outstanding, showed us exactly what 5 star service and did should be. Sorry Gordon, you have a lot to do to make 5 stars.
P. S.
Lovely food and setting. Great staff. Pricey but so is all of London. Only thing, service was very guick, just felt a bit rushed.
M. M.
They raise service to another level. We broke the habit of at least a year and had a fillet steak each. Well, it was my birthday. This world famous watering hole is reassuringly expensive!
M. D.
Stunning meal with out-of-this-world service. From arriving to when we begrudgingly left the restaurant we had a perfect experience. From the impeccable beef wellington to the great Valpolicella Ripasso the food was to die for and the Maitre D' made our evening.
We were lucky to have visited between Christmas & New Year so we had the joy of the christmas decorations still; and a wonderful way to spend a Sunday in great company and beautiful surroundings.
K. S.
Absolutely amazing anniversary/honeymoon dinner. Our server Dragos was phenomenal. Thank you guys for a great last night in London.
C. M.
Honestly the best steak I've ever had. And some of the best service as well.
Me andy family felt doted on from start to finish.
N. A.
Pre theatre meal. We had heard great things and were not disappointed. Great dinning experience from start to finish👍the staff here really look after you. Thank you
B. L.
We came for lunch to celebrate my partner birthday and we were treated to a fantastic experience. We chose the Escoffier menu and what a delight from start to finish. The service was impeccable, the meal sublime, an absolute desirable experience throughout. It was pouring with rain when we left so as an extra treat I took the opportunity to hire the Savoy's Rolls Royce phantom to take us back to our hotel. Amir our driver, was the perfect host and took us on a slight detour passing Buckingham palace and Knightsbridge. Thank you Amir for completing our day. Enjoy the photos and video clips everyone
D. D.
Great evening superb service and excellent food made special with a nice surprise birthday desert for our daughter celebrating her 18th birthday. Iconic location which has not lost its appeal or standards.
K. B.
Great service, food pretty good too. Worth a visit even if just the once. Naturally not a cheap experience
M. M.
Fantastic food fantastic wine and service is superb nice to have a fantastic time there!
S. C.
If you ever get the opportunity to experience the chefs table, do it! You sit in a private room in the kitchen and the chefs come in and introduce each of the 7 courses. You also get to go and cook your own steak and send it to the pass!!
B.
Incredible experience. Wonderful service from Thierry and the rest of the team as we were looked after for my wife's 40th birthday this weekend. From the second we walked in, through every course and until we left, we were looked after beyond any expectation. At one point my wife started to pour some more wine and the Sommelier (I'm sorry but we didn't get his name) had his back to us and was looking after another table, Thierry could see my wife pouring and spoke to the Sommelier who apologised for not looking after us. Please please please, do not let this get the chap in trouble over this, he was not to know and neither were we, we have not been in this environment before! Thank you all and hope to be back soon!
L. H.
Absolutely amazing food and service! Great place for a birthday celebration or any special occasion! We were there for pre theatre dinner and it was perfect! It's a must!!!
C. V. (. E.
PERFECT SERVICE!
Awesome food.
Price include that of course!
I'm really happy and will be back here.
Thanks to Marco the service guy...
He do all perfect. I am in love!
Again and again!
Cheers from a French guy!

Delicious! The food was really good. The service is the best I have ever seen. The restaurant is expensive but It worth the price. #savoygrill #gordonramsey #london

We had a fantastic experience at the Savoy Grill. The staff were wonderful, amazing service and great food. We even got a behind the scenes tour of the kitchen and got to meet the chef. Highly recommended!!!
D. W.
The very best in fine dining, the attention to detail was unbelievable, the food was at its very best and the service first class can't wait to go back.
C. G.
Beautiful restaurant, food was very good, we couldn't fault anything we had. Service was excellent, only issue was when choosing the wine.
The first sommelier we had was good and helped choose a very good red. The 2nd younger sommelier who helped with the 2nd wine, kept ignoring the budget we asked for and seemed insistent on trying to make us buy one more than £100 over what we asked
J. M.
We had food here a few years ago fkr our wedding anniversary. Unforgettable experience. We look forward to returning.
O. D.
My birthday dinner was fantadtic. Only downfall was that the 'mini' birthday cake given to me Savoy was not what I was given in my takeaway box. Instrad I got something very disappointed. Thats my only let down. Would recommend it.
G. D.
Impeccable service, great food with prime ingredients. An experience worth a try!
E. D.
An amazing restaurant. Coming here was one of the best experiences I had during my trip to London. Every dish was wonderful and tasty, but I would say there was too much butter on everything. We ordered the Beef Wellington as main course and it was delicious. If you have the chance you should come here.
H. L.
Nice service and breakfast is fine. Fancy hotel.
C. L.
Lovely dinner last night. But amazing Breakfast this morning. Eggs escoffier and champagne. Amazing staff. Robert was so friendly and good at his job. Would have been a 5 but my lamb last night had to be returned as it was lukewarm. But, it was replaced by a brand new plate of freshly cooked food n not bunged into a microwave. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return
S. M.
Absolutely amazing! Fantastic food and service, and to top it off we met Gordon Ramsey! Would highly recommend xx
C. T.
Excellent venue and service but.. This old institutions may have to improve the kitchen ... The foie gras was not cold enough and not that tasty. The scallops were great but for 28 GBP at least 4 pieces should be instead of 2! Even if the clientele don't seems to care about the price it looks to me overpriced if u compare with other Palace in London.

What a great restaurant. Art Deco furnishings, a beautiful reception from the staff, with service that continues to be high quality all the way through. Then of course there is the food. The real star of the show, you won’t be disappointed with anything you order. The drinks selection is good, but could be slightly better. Of course I refer to the rum selection here and that’s a personal thing. Wines are abundant. Do book, this is one of my fav’s in London. Sorry was enjoying the food far too much to take photos.
S. H.
Felt like a movie star! Treated like one too! Service outstanding and delicious dinner! Not a fault to be had thankyou ☺
P. M.
Late review....but I expected more from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. It was just ok. Would have probably rated it better if it didn't cost so much.
J. B.
Incredible food in a beautiful setting with impeccable service to match. A special treat worth every penny
D. K.
Lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and simple dress smart casual dress code. As you would expect, the staff are extremely helpful and the food really very good.
Don't be put off by thinking it's the Savoy try it.
S. M.
Some of the best food in London!
A. W.
Unbelievable food probably the best I've ever had , service from all the staff was 110% wow is all I can say
M. G.
What can you say, Gordon Ramsay love him or hate him he knows how to serve up excellent food along with excellent service. A 5 star experience. Excellent grilled meat!
L. R.
So good to be back at Gordon Ramsey grill savoy its been a while and it didn't dissapoint food was excellent 👌 and the service was 5 stars and got to meet some of the staff from the it show a great night all round
P. B.
Waited 15 mins beyond reservation time to be seated. The Souffle starter was light and tasty. The Beef Wellington main was not as tender as I would have liked. The interior was refurbished at the same time as the hotel but not sure it quite hits the mark. Service was good.
B. T.
Had dinner here Wednesday 1/5/2019 with a college roommate and his wife. The food and service were exceptional! Oysters were marvelous. Had the Dover Sole sautéed that was outstanding! Highly recommended.
V. N.
Perfect restaurant. The name says everything. Excellent service, big thank you for the staffs! 🙂

Friendly staff, excellent service, everyone treated brilliantly. The food is always exceptional and the sommelier gave us some excellent wines to go with each course. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a special meal in a stunning room. Been a few times and service has never been anything but incredible.
Z. K.
A place that service is the key. The staff are absolutely incredible and make you feel like royalty whether you have just bread and water or a five course meal.
The food is always great if not exceptional, but the service is what stands out and keeps us coming back. Their attention to detail and friendliness is second to none ! They make you feel special no matter who you are and that's half the battle won when you are having a nice meal outside.
g. t.
Beautiful dinner experience. Our 20th anniversary and we where not disappointed, such a beautiful evening and as always so welcoming and accomadating.
L. S.
Wonderful dinner tonight. The food was excellent - especially the truffled mash. The service was brilliant. Highly recommend!!
L. A.
It was ok. We had the 5 course taster menu at £75 each, (the soufflé was amazing but did not like the rum baba pudding, just my taste)? Fabulous service and we were made to feel very welcome.
T.
It was such an amazing experience. First time at the restaurant for me and my boyfriend.Fine dining food exceded our expectations. Our waiter, Robert, was 10/10, very polite, friendly and paid attention to every detail.
Thank you. Definitely wanna come back.♥️🇷🇴
N. F.
Food was stunning, the flavours were just bursting out of the food. I got this as an experience and thought this was really out of my depth, i was not treated any different to anyone else. They looked after us so well.
If you want to taste food try this.
Thank you for a great experience
A. M.
Went there with my partner for my 25th birthday for a great meal - ordered the beef Wellington alongside 2 sides and drinks. The beef wellington was a hearty posrion and cooked to perfection, rivalled only by the one I've tried in Bob Bob Ricard. Definitely recommend for a celebratory meal or when in the mood for a splurge. I would recommend booking in advance though.
Ps: The bread was absolutely delicious as well - and while that comes gratis with a meal and isn't a factor when picking a restaurant, it was definitely a treat!
g. t.
Fantastic staff .Amazing food. Won't be able to afford it again but really enjoyed
A. K.
Overall it was an amazing experience but was let down by the few staff outside who completely ignored me and my girlfriend while I approached the place while speaking to everyone else that walked past. Maybe because I'm young or a different reason? Who knows.
The food however was great, the ham hock left me craving more and the beef Wellington was exactly how I'd seen it on Hell's kitchen all these years. The raspberry custard tart finished the 3 course meal nicely.
Definitely one of my bucket lists ticked off.
I would also like to thank the waiters and waitresses inside for being so kind and understanding of us. Huge thanks to Matteao especially for such a nice welcome and service. I hope I can come back and receive the same good service.
The hotel staff outside should be asked to treat everyone equally no matter their age or colour.
M. B.
Wow! Expected great service and food and expectations exceeded! Oysters and Wellington the best I’ve had! x
G. W.
Myself and my husband dined here on Friday 13th August for lunch.
The overall experience felt as though we were on a conveyor belt with dishes taking only 10minutes to come out between courses. I asked for my dessert to come later due to the fact that the two previous courses came out within record time. I was told it was take 20mins but 5 mins later I was eating a dessert.
The food was a complete let down. The Wellington was nice but lacked seasoning and duxelle filling. Dessert was a cold hard pastry tart filled with lemon. I understand the pastry needed to be made ahead of time, but it was so cold it was almost frozen.
My waitress was extremely friendly and that I cannot fault however the sommelier forgot to bring my red wine with my wellington. A shame considering we was charged on top of the bill for a service charge.
This was my first time dining at The Savoy and I can't say I would return. Food was uninspired and I've eaten better in local high street food chains.
M. C.
I had a Voucher for 3 course lunch bought by my daughter for my 71st birthday. I have been to many restaurants in my time but I will say that The Savoy Grill was about the best I have ever been too. The atmosphere was fantastic, The Staff were friendly attentive, respectful. The food was amazing every mouthful. I loved the interior decorations absolutely perfect. The only thing I felt doubtful about was the Carpet. It didn’t seem to compliment the interior design.HAHA. I would whole heartedly recommend this beautiful restaurant and hope I can make a return visit soon.
P. U.
Had higher expectations from a Chef Ramsey restaurant. The appetizers ended up being the highlight of the meal (both the lobster bisque and Dorset snails). The Beef Wellington was bland and the beef was not as fragrant as we had hoped. Even the sides were sub par, the garlic mushrooms and truffle mash potatoes. Might be willing to try again but will go for the normal steaks next time.
C. F.
I was not very impressed by the food or service here. I had set a high bar considering the restaurant and ambiance, which I believe is fair. I had been to another Ramsay restaurant in Las Vegas, Hells Kitchen. In comparison the service there was outstanding and the food excellent. We ordered the classic Wellington, cooked medium rare to rare, the steak had a little marble. But overall it was not special. The steak tar tar was delicious but I was sad to learn it usually comes with house made Parmesan chips (as seen on their Instagram page) but we had house made potato chips. Big difference if you ask me. Also, I noticed the Wellington on their Instagram has a different crust. That is misleading and I’m really disappointed the images on their Instagram do not reflect the food you receive. Terrible way to run a business.
J.
Melt in the mouth beef wellington and lamb. Staff couldn't have been more attentive polite and friendly . Wasn't keen on the basil courgette side. Starters mains and desserts were out of this world.
S. G.
Was my first time at The Savoy and all of the staff from the entrance and all around the hotel were so lovely. I really enjoyed the food and they had great vegetarian options. It was a lovely atmosphere, I could have stayed there all day! Would definitely go again 😊
C. R.
Amazing. Thank you all for the excellent service, fabulous food and great atmosphere. What a brilliant night out.
S. G.
Absolutely 1st class, service, staff, quality, there is literally not one criticism, amazing. Just missed the theatre of some f'in and Jeff in out of the kitchen but guess Mr R has better things to do!! Superb!
L. H.
Absolutely delicious, service was great, and the best beef Wellington I have ever had.
J.
The staff were very pleasant and made us feel very welcome, they were attentive but not overpowering. Very professional - you wouldn't think restrictions were in place
The food was delicious and the Italian white wine was just right not too dry.
Even though it was really hot outside the restuarant was comfortably cool.
Wonderful experience-champagne lunch in an art deco style restuarant.
S.
Food was good, but not Michelin star and the service very good.
C. T.
Absolutely first class..Came here for my 60th today. Went to the Shangri-la yesterday.which was good. But this is another level. Simple menu but so much taste. Tonight made my birthday. Well recommend this place and I've eaten all over the world.
B. C.
We had a amazing experience for our anniversary lunch, the food is out of this world and the service is excellent! (We had the beef wellington) Thank you so much for making our special day extra special. :)
P. W.
Superb service... high quality fine food... great experience... must go place...
R. S.
This fine dining establishment lives up to expectations. Excellent delivery on all things related to a great romantic night out.
S. N.
Amazing service, delicious food. Couldn't fault it at all. Definitely worth a visit
V. K.
The Savoy has a timeless elegance you just breath in in entering , very helpful staff, lovely beautifully presented food.
B. W.
No dilly dally here absolutely delightful I must say. More Mr Ramsey more I was awestruck by the whole experience as was madam Wollage who admired the decadence more so than I.
A. B.
Lovely lunchtime meal, attentive staff( to be expected), fantastic venue. Arrived in smart attire, what a pity others didn’t. Surely jeans, T-shirts and trainers are better placed down the road in MacDonalds? Will come again!
M. F.
Was taken to the Savoy Grill by my son as an early Christmas present. Whilst the food was absolutely amazing, the service we experienced has led to a 4 star review. Despite asking for drinks twice, my glass of wine did not arrive until after I had finished my main course. After a change in shift mid way through our meal the service did improve and the cost of drinks and the service charge were deducted from our bill. Will definitely return.
T. P.
You get what you pay for. 10/10
D.
What an amazing experience!!! From start to finish I was blown away . We visited the chefs table for a celebration after our engagement and it definitely didn't disappoint . The food is literally amazing out of the 7 courses I could say there wasn't any that wasn't enjoyable . I would also like to say I'm not a huge wine fan but Mr Masahito Suzuki the sommeliers choice of wines couldn't have been any more perfect for me . He has opened my eyes to wine and now have a taste for the better quality. Of course the food is amazing but I would also like to thank Laura our host I do believe that the experience wouldn't have been impressive with out her so thank you .. we also got to meet the very funny Thierry who came and congratulated us and spent some time with us ... honestly I can only recommend you trying the chefs table it's 100% worth the money we will be returning
c. f.
Very pricey but great food and wonderful service from staffs.
J. H.
A late dinner - 9:45PM - found us in this elegant dining room where the food was truly imaginative, delicious, and meeting all expectations - eclipsed only by the warmth and affability of the staff!
A. T.
Tasty food & nice ambience. Service was slower than usual. I ordered smoked ham hock terrine for my starter, confit duck leg with orange sauce & minted new potatoes for my main & cheese with walnut bread for my dessert. The cocktails were very nice to.
A. P.
Superb! First class food and first class service! Highly recommended.
E. S.
Excellent staff , food was amazing
C. F.
Disappointing Starter, Beef Wellinton superb but Lukewarm and got cold waiting for sides, Rum BaBavery average
P. R.
Absolutely perfect - everything you would expect. Best steak of my life (ribeye medium). Caviar and oysters for starter - immense. And swordfish schnitzel - try the truffle mash too. Absolutely best lunch ever.
D. N.
A really luxurious restaurant and an amazing meal. We had the taste of savoy set menu - each course was better than the next - oysters, soufflé Arnold Bennett, beef Wellington and rum baba - the pastry on the Wellington was super light. And friendly service too.
R. M.
We came as treat from the children and had the set lunch and glass of champagne. The food was really delicious; the staff were very attentive and even kept my food warm when I had to pop away for a moment.
The atmosphere and décor of the dining room was great and I would love to have another experience here again (hint, hint).
D. A. P.
Fantastic service meal was fantastic and the staff made you feel welcome would go back again 👍

Amazing arrive! Amazing food! Everything's amazing. Only downside was it's a little dusty.. sat down in chair all dust came out and had a sneezing fit.. embarrassing but still will return! Loved it there!!

The food was as good as expected. The waiter and sommelier were helpful and friendly.
S. A.
Had the most amazing time. The food, presentation, staff were excellent
A. F.
How can a world class hotel create such a warm friendly atmosphere, where you feel like the most important person is you, and theres nothing that's too much trouble ? Its incredible, sell your home and just go !
D. T.
We enjoyed a truly amazing evening at the Savoy. We look forward to returning soon
M. B.

S. M.
Fantastic service and food, nice to see people dressed appropriately 🙂

Elegant London meal. My dish was topped with pork belly, so delicious.
M. W.
Iconic restaurant that lives up to it's reputation. My wife, daughter and I were treated properly throughout the visit. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Simply had to try the Beef Wellington and it did not disappoint. Will be a pleasant memory that likely lasts a lifetime.
R. D.
Always a pleasure to experience Savoy grill restaurant. Extraordinary service. Delicious food.

Beautiful building and location off The Strand.
A great experience to eat in The Savoy Grill.
E. W.
Wonderful food, excellent service, just hit the spot!
M. P.
A special occasion requires a special location. The food and the ambiance are just pure luxury. Some things are just worth the extra cost and this is one of them.
S. G.
Best meal I've ever had. Service was so good, food was 10/10. Would definitely go back.
e. s.
The best beef Wellington in London. Did not disappoint. Will definitely come back. Excellent service of staff as well
J. K.
First class food and service. We had a great time!
J. J.
Amazing food and great service. We had the 7 course tasting menu. Every course was delicious and the service was attentive. Savoy all decorated for Christmas looked amazing.
G. K.
Burnt soda bread, tasteless beef Wellington, overall disappointing, and a waiter who thought he was Mr Deeds butler, sneeky sneeky!! We were expecting much more.
Best was the Arnold Bennett souflett
V. T.
The Beef Wellington was amazing I felt like my tongue was singing and dancing. The service was exceptional thanks to Alex and Rocco. Wow
B. M.
We visited for an early dinner on Saturday 10th October 2020.
We had selected the taster menu which was from start to finish exceptional, every single course was sensational.
The wine selection complimented very well and I finished with an Espresso Martini cocktail which was the best ever.
The service was friendly, informative but discreet and a special mention for Thierry who was charming and he made it a very special evening for us.
B.
Was given water for the table and menus, then nobody followed up to check on us or take our order, ‘our’ waiter was tending to others around us however never came back, and was left to us after we had enough waiting for 15/20 minutes, to flag down another member of staff to take our order. We were then seemingly assigned a different waiter from there on as the original one never returned. Starters then came very quickly once ordered however our drinks still hadn’t arrived which im led to believe is a basic rule in hospitality; yet more waiting for them. Food was delicious, however the initial experience once sat down seemed to leave a sour taste making us not feel like valued diners, as nobody senior even apologised for the incident and especially as the venue is supposed to uphold such high standards.
D. D.
Lovely ambience and stunning food. The team looked after us exceptionally well.
w. M.
Very nice place obviously very expensive but a place worth visiting service great but you pay for it
p. m.
This restaurant is an easy 10/10 from the food to service! The food is Absolutely mouth watering! I loved the experience that I had here! Visiting this location to eat was one of my favorite and best choices that I have ever made while on a vacation! If you have not been here yet then you are definitely missing out because not only the staff, the food, but also just the whole environment was so comfortable and friendly as well as clean to the max! I am definitely going to be coming back to this location in the future for more dining experiences and I will be telling all of my friends and family about this restaurant and how wonderful it truly is! Do not expect for any items on the menu to be “cheap”, this is a high class dining restaurant that uses only quality and fresh ingredients that are not cheap! So although the price may be a little hefty it is most certainly worth it due to how spectacular the experience you receive will be! Parking is a little tough to find but if you just use the valet everything is much easier which is very convenient! As I said whether you live within the area or on the other side of the world this is the restaurant that you absolutely must visit to fulfill your dreams of having some of the most creative and delicious food in the world!
S. H.
We had Lunch for two yesterday and had the most fabulous service with most fabulous food in an incredible environment… Thierry came and spoke to us to just about top the day and put the cherry on the cake… Keep it up… We will be back…
C. V.
Beautiful food and fabulous staff. We had a fantastic time for our anniversary and were made to feel very welcome.
M. R.
Excellent, it was our anniversary and they looked after us, even chatted with Thierry..
E. C.
Pretty good traditional English breakfast... not 5* like Kasper's, but a decent 3*. Nice for something a little "special"..
Covered all the bases but lost marks for charging full price on a second round of toast when we didn't require all the butter/jam/marmalade blah blah & same again for coffee/tea refills... if they could rectify this, I'd go all in for a solid 4*
B. M.
The food was great but the service and atmosphere was not necessarily there.. You SHOULD have elevated expectations, which is why if you are ready to shell out serious coin on a dinner you are better off to go to one of his better rated places. If you are about to impress might as well go for the flagship!
P. G.
What an amazing experience! The food was just just what you would expect from Gordon Ramsey and the staff make the experience even more special. Highly recommended to people who enjoy life!
c. d.
We had a fabulous breakfast kept us going all day
S. N.
Excellent food, Staff and facilities. Would highly recommend.
S. S.
Best experience...there is nothing to fault...everything perfect ..wonderful treat..
C. S.
Had a lovely lunch and it was very busy. Staff always attentive .
J. V. D.
Excellent food only matched by the service. They were very kind and helpful. They made it a great experience. Thanks!
J. G.
I booked 2 Virgin champagne lunch for 2 packages. The 4 of us arrived on a miserable, rainy Sunday in late January and were welcomed into the warmth and comfort of the Savoy. What a treat! The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. The decor and atmosphere were special. Thank you for a truly enjoyable experience. :)
K. L.
Such a pleasant evening at the Savoy Grill. We had a gift voucher and that didn’t change the way we were treated at all. The waiters were so friendly and kind. They looked after our every need and went above and beyond. It was a brilliant experience and I would return again just for the atmosphere and company.
A. M.
Great tasting food. Great service
T. H.
Loved ever min of it food fantastic staff lovely
G. M.
Absolutely marvelous, a nice way to cheer your self and have a special lunch be alone or with friends
V. P.
My family and I went to the Savoy Grill for my son's birthday

Great food and service. A classic dining experience
M. G.
One expects a certain level of decorum at a hotel as prestigious as this - we were not disappointed!
P. D.
Excellent staff. Excellent menu. Relaxing atmosphere. What's not not like. Very enjoyable. Thank you.
e. P.
The prices are a little off the top but tastewise it was very good.
R. C.
We had cocktails and they were very tasty. Pictured is the #nomakeup. Worth the money!
D. B.
Super meal. Steak tartare was excellent with an exciting new way to eat it and it's not bread. BW fabulous and service perfection.
M. H.
Food Fantastic! However if you are visiting with a voucher be ready to feel you are not worthy. The staff were kind however very over the top with trying to sell you addition items not on the voucher. At one point the server actually said "of course" when we turned down an item (in a manner of snobbiness). We are always happy to pay a tip but when we finished the meal, the server presents us with a bill solely for tips, once again we are always happy to tip as standard, however when you are given a bill with the only item being a tip it doesn't feel like genuine service
D. S.
Absolutely amazing way to celebrate my birthday evening!!
M. O.
Firstly, would like to compliment the staff on there attention to detail, humour and efficiency. The friendliest and loveliest staff I've been served by anywhere. Very attentive and polite.
Secondly, our wine and food were delicious. We ordered the Beef Wellington and it was magnificent !! One of the highlights of our trip was eating at the Savoy Grill, can’t wait to come back again!!
N. S.
This was a 50th birthday present for me ..The food was Amazing and the Staff were so attentive..Loved every minute of it .
I. S.
Not much to add. We split the Wellington and it was amazing as expected.
M. P.
Not as good as one would expect, Great service poor food, very expensive
D. W.
Great service nice food a bit pricey
A. V.
The food was absolutely delectable. All the food was perfect, except for my mother's steak was served as a medium instead of the medium rare she asked for. But, aside from the slight mistake that would've made this review a 4 star, they have wonderful service! They immediately took the dish and remade it within a matter of 10 minutes. They even offered to take the mushrooms and sauce so that when the new steak comes back the mushrooms and sauce are warm and fresh with the steak. We automatically forgot about the mistake in the steak because the customer service is amazing, unlike our one server who barely wanted to wait for our order; I guessing that's where the mistake came from. The food, although expensive, was worth the money. Maybe this is just me and my family being picky, but we were sweating inside the restaurant. It was really warm and made us a bit uncomfortable. But I won't let a little problem with the temperature ruin my amazing time there.
D. A. H.
Very good cooking. Service on the sedate side
L. M.
Dinner was lovely. Our sommelier was on point with her wine recommendations. The cocktails were fabulous. We were lucky enough to be sat at the same table Sir Winston Churchill used to frequent. This place has it all. History, great food, great drinks and helpful staff.
m. t.
Great service, and my favourite place to get beef Wellington when In London
b. e.
Fantastic staff great experience thanks
J. R.
The service here was outstanding; unmatched by any other establishment I've visited. The entire staff was attentive, very funny, and genuinely cared if you had a great time. The food was delicious. I wish I could have ate more. We had beef wellington with sides. I would advise anyone looking for a nice night out to visit this place.
m. C.
Well what can you say Amazing staff Amazing food my Husband really enjoy his late Christmas present thank you we will be back. X
R. S.
The best Wellington beef in town in an historical site. Compliments Gordon!
M. A.
The food was delicious. Was a bit shocked that they tried to cram us into a corner of a table but they sorted it after asking to extend when another table next to us was free. Not sure about the bizarre cutting of the apple pie desert but the fillet steak was perfectly cooked and I couldn't fault anything food wise.
I recommend all of you to eat and experience such a good restaurant...
j. D.
Wonderful staff
D. C.
Good food and reasonable price too.
M. G.
Excellent place, beef wellington is to die for, along with awesome service from Laura and Fabricio 👌
O. E.
Fantastic service. Excellent knowledge and superbly friendly staff. The gave us a new table with absolutely no fuss and indeed said pick one. The only thing I will say is that the bottled water is not complimentary and at £12 a bottle soon makes a statement! But it's from Talsarn so you English are lucky to get such good water.
R. R.
The Savoy Grill is well worth a visit if you want good food in an interesting location with lots of history.
Service appeared to become a bit "cooler" when we asked to see the set dinner menu even though our total spend came in at well over £500! The sommelier was great, offering excellent service throughout. However, when the "surprise" birthday mini-desert was served the waiter simply put it in front of the guest and walked away. This is very different to the experience we had at a Jason Atherton restaurant a few weeks before where the waiter made the Birthday guest feel rather more special.
Overall though still a good experience, but could have been outstanding.
l. g.
The service was on a whole different level. However, the food was great but nothing amazing.
Our table ordered various combinations of the three course dinner menu for 40 pounds and it was well worth the price. Even though the food wasn't exceptional this was probably one of best restaurants experiences I've ever had.
If I lived in London I would go here every once in a while for the service and reliable quality of food.
B. M.
Great food matched with excellent service - superb location for a special dinner
K. A.
Great food... exceptional experience.
A. S.
Great restaurant. Food and service is excellent.
P. N.
Was truly fabulous, service was excellent.
Couldn't ask for anything else
Food was delicious , cooked to perfection .

Excellent restaurant - its not cheap but the service, staff & food is superb. Very friendly and made very welcome. I would definitely recommend a visit.
C. T.
This place was amazing! Between the ambience and the attentive staff everything was excellent. The decor is so elegant you will feel like you’re in a Ted Baker jewelry box! I highly recommend the Beef Wellington. We will be back the next time we are in London.
M. S.
Excellent meal and service in the River Restaurant.
R. M. F.
I delivered some chocolate from my store for an event there and as I never visited it before, I was impressed! Professional, friendly, efficient and elegant.
C. S.
The staff are well co-ordinated and polite. The service is very good. I had Gordan Ramsey's signature dish "steak and ale pudding" it tasted fantastic, the only complaint about it was one part of the pastry was hard, leading to me thinking, it could have been 'microwaved' which is why I only gave it 4 *s.
A. H.
What a wonderful experience for my belated Birthday, food as you expect was first class and the service even better particularly Antonio our waiter would highly recommend
K. J.
Had a great pre theatre dining experience. The fish dishes (both the cod loin and fishcake) were particularly good and I also liked the sorbet which was beautifully presented. The meal was fairly priced for the quality and service provided. The waiting staff were very attentive and paid careful detail to food allergy information. I have taken a star off because the side dishes were over salted for my taste, which was disappointing, especially as the main dishes were so good. The atmosphere was also made a little unpleasant by the arrival of a large group who were using flash photography. Despite this we did have a great time and look forward to returning soon.
D. B.
Service excellent, food outstanding. Just the best before a show.
B. C.
The service was impeccable and the restaurant setting itself nice, however we felt the meal was overshadowed by the fact that some basics hadn't been covered as well as we would have wanted. Eg. the complimentary bread was tough and stale and the mackerel mousse was too large with nowhere near enough bread for the amount of mousse.
The chicken dish was delicious but serving size was too small we thought.
B.
The Somelier was excellent. Her wine recommendations matched our dishes perfectly. The wait staff did not rush us out at the end and were cordial throughout. Fhe food was delicious, especially the snail entree. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce and horseradish combination made the Beef Wellington spectacular

The food is good don't get me wrong. Yet does not really match the very high price you have to pay for it. The dessert was very sweet and very boring. We had the tasting menu and on overall we stayed there for close to 2.30h

I haven't been to many 5-star restaurants, so this was a rare experience I was greatly anticipating. The atmosphere and ambiance were very impressive. The facility was just about perfect - small enough to feel intimate but not too small to the point it felt crowded or noisy. Conversation was very easy and we didn't worry about our neighbors overhearing us. Menu items were diverse and elegant. The food quality itself did not disappoint. Exceptional flavor to all dishes and sides. The ribeye, pork chops, and fillet were all exquisite. One of the best pork chops I've tasted. The mashed potatoes, skinny chips, and cauliflower were all very delicious as well.
**What prevents this 5-star restaurant from a 5-star experience is the very disappointing service and overall value. While the staff was very friendly and welcoming, we felt quite neglected throughout the meal. The waitress came by a few times to check on us, but it didn't feel like a 5-star service experience. I've experienced far better and more attentive service at casual chain restaurants. We hardly heard a "farewell," "good evening," or "thank you for coming" as we left. The staff wasn't rude, simply inattentive, and certainly not what you would expect at a 5-star, Gordon Ramsay restaurant. That being said, overall, I felt the price was too much for the subpar service. The food was great, but the average-at-best service made this whole experience disappointing. I was a bit upset looking at how much I spent for this so-so experience. If you're looking for a comprehensive 5-star restaurant experience, I wouldn't start here. This was my first time to London, and I was a surely unimpressed with this first meal, as I was looking forward to a memorable dining experience

Food was great but lacking in atmosphere.

Lovely setting, adored the Art Deco! The staff were very attentive and the service was excellent. We got the pre-theatre menu but everything was absolutely delicious and decent portion sizes too. We had our table for three hours and not once did the staff rush us or try and move us on. A great night and would definitely go back!

Wonderful food. Beautiful service. Very accommodating staff.
One downside - the most uncomfortable seats in England. The Tower of London has nothing on the savoy! I do have a back problem but I’ve never sat anywhere this uncomfortable. Seats are far too low. Table far too high.
Very accomodating staff moved us to another table but that had very loose chair.
Yum food though. Really amazing service. And kind staff.

The tasting menu was really crafty and tasted delicious. It was a voyage of nice flavours which took you to many great tastings out of the ordinary. It was familiar, yet better tasting and inovating.
The sommelier was very friendly and down to earth , knew a lot about the wines - both how they tasted and how they were made. He guided us through and helped us make our evening very pleasant.
The waiters and crew were really attentive and nice, they had full awareness of how our evening went and always helped us, without us having to call for them. They showed up exactly on the right time and they really lifted our experience.
Overall we could not ask for a better place to spend our evening. It was the best evening spent in London.

Wonderful! The lobster bisque and the beef Wellington made my day. The dishes illustrate the effort put by the kitchen staff. Waiters were very attentive and service was just great.
Will go for the tasting menu on my next visit.

Spectacular meal and service equal to the reputation of the owner.
My wife and I got the 'Taste of the Savoy' menu. All of the choices were delicious and well-presented. The service was attentive, from the moment we sat down to the tour of the kitchen at the end of the meal. We had some great meals on this, our first trip to London, and this one was at the top of the charts.

First time at the savoy and won't be my last the food is absolutely amazing!!!!!

Michelin Star level. Above and beyond service. Champagne glasses topped up before they even hit below half. Everysingle bit of care has been taken into consideration from waiting to be seated and given complimentary drinks to having several savoy staff constantly keep the table clean and the meals consistent in their arrival and the removal of empty dishes. It is an experience to say the least an unforgettable one.

we had the beef Wellington among other dishes. It was better than I imagined it to be. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is unbelievable, and after dinner we were offered to take a tour of the kitchen. We were brought directly to the Wellington station and the chef there gave us a quick run down of the two day process to make the dish! Unforgettable experience!!

I treated my husband to dinner for his birthday and I have to say that we experienced a wonderful time. We have never been before, but could not fault the staff or the food. Staff were so friendly and easy to chat to and ask for their advice on the menu and we both found the food we had was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. I would defiantly love to go back and enjoy another wonderful experience. Thank you so very much for making our evening.

Went for a celebration lunch. We had the tasting menu. Everything was perfectly cooked. We went for the recommended wines to go with each course. The staff were attentive and charming. In particular, thanks to the sommelier who chose fantastic and in some cases unusual wines and explained well why they had been chosen.

Savoy Grill serves you some of the best Sunday Grill in London

Most amazing restaurant and staff in London. Love it here.

We had the most amazing time, the food was incredible, the staff lovely. It was a Sunday and so we had smart beef, it was the best smart meal I have ever had, it was so expensive (we had lots of lovely wine) but it's a treat place to go and we enjoyed every mouthful and every second.

Spent a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with our family at the Savoy Grill. The beef Wellingon never disappoints, and the service is just perfect - kind and knowledgeable staff who always make sure you have a wonderful evening. Our only regret: the crepe suzette, a favourite of ours and a staple of the Grill, has been removed from the menu. A real shame, as this was a real highlight to look forward to at the end of our meal. We hope it comes back very soon.
