Reviews of Shake Shack Victoria Nova
V. R.
You get the best Beef burger in this place. Juicy, Crispy and absolutely delicious. Fries are crispy and served hot and the lemonade is refreshing. Just about an 8 min walk from Victoria Coach Station. Easy to find.
Definitely Recommend!
F. D.
Bit of a wait for food but it was good. Cheesy fries were awesome. Not just grated cheese on top
S. S.
Was honestly a let down due to the burger and the wait time. Always a downer when 7 orders after you get served first. The frozen milkshake saved this from going any lower l. The fries are pretty good too. If I ever go to a shake shack again, its definitely only for shakes and fries.

From the atmosphere to the food it was a great experience!
Visited on the 28th and had a wonderful time!
Their staff was friendly and took the order quickly, with their order displays making it clear and easy to tell when your order is ready!
The crinkle cut fries are great and crisp, the shroom burger knocks most other store's vegetarian burger options out of the water (incredibly cheesy!), and their shakes are smooth and rich!
Biggest recommendation is their lemonade, refreshing and delicious!
Will for sure be visiting again next time I'm around Victoria Station

Finally decided to go to the infamous shake shack brand. While I haven’t tried the actual food, your ordering system is absolutely broken. Giving this maximum 3 stars because even if the burger would be 5stars, the wait is not worth it for FAST food…
… update: just ate my first burger and curly fries. Gets a 3 out of 5 - tasted okay but nothing special. Sorry shake shack.
C. M.
The lady at the door was pleasant and so welcoming, so was the lady at the till. Deal, here is your place your order and find a table, and they'll gall your name when your order's ready. Nice lush burgers and crisp curly fresh chips/ fries, hotdogs, etc. plus deserts and drinks. Tasty food and quick turnaround. 😋 Bus terminus nearby
A. T.
The menu is at the top of the registers, so it’s a little hard to see the menu, but their food and shakes are really good. Remember to order what you want in your burger because you will just get a meat patty. If you want lettuce, tomatoes and more in your burger, make sure to request them when ordering. This location is usually busy, so you may have to wait some time to get your order.

Moist and delicious burgers! So soft and chewy. I recommend getting the cheese fries as a side! Chicken Burger was alright best to just stick to the beef. (Total: £15.75) The restaurant is really nice and fancy great place to dine but the toilets were poorly maintained, when I visited they were all wet and nasty.
T. P. G.
I left my scarf in the restaurant last night (12.02.22) have been trying to get hold of a member of staff regarding the matter but no one is picking up the restaurants phone. I would be so grateful if somebody would be kind enough to get back to me. Thank you in advance.
A. T.
Went here on May/2019. I ordered 2 burgers, a cheese fries and milkshakes. Those burgers were fine and delicious. The fries are too cheesy. In my POV, you should order another fries and mixed with the cheese ones. And finally the milkshakes are very rich. I recommend ordering it.

Above-average American fast-food chain. Efficient and tasty food. Don't be a moron comparing it with other independent burger shops. Get there to have a good burger and that's it.
J. K.
So basically there is a lot of negative feedback on here but I think it's not deserved. The place is a take away style so yes there is no table service but place kept clean by constant floor staff. The price well for London and made to order style burgers it's on point, if you want it cheaper don't order the most expensive items. Over all a burger chips and drink will be roughly £9.99 which is no different to other chains like 5 guys. The service was great and food came hot which is more that you can ask. Place wasn't to busy and overall kept clean with friendly staff. The menu as fun as it may look is positioned in the worst place(Maybe now it's just decoration); HOWEVER they do have someone standing by handing out easy to read menus. This s9nt my first visit or the only one and feel it hasn't changed service, food and overall is a nice place for what it is.

First time going here so was unsure what to expect. Could have been another member of staff at tills as there was one person taking orders and there was a few people waiting. Our food took a good while before we got it and there was people who ordered well after us getting there big order first.
The burger and chips were nice, the milkshake was great but for the price you pay you only get half a cup full.
Otherwise happy.
S.
Vegan burger is absolutely divine, really good. The fries are above average too. Was very busy when I visited and staff seemed very overwhelmed and a little out of control. My order got forgotten about for a while but overall, it was delicious so would definitely go again!
B. L.
Over priced and fairly slow for fast food... Cold, worn out unloved interior. Burger was great but I would much rather a 5 guys anyday of the week.
R. D.
We were eating there on Saturday evening. It wasn’t crowded as some other places which was nice. However, once we got our food we realized why the place wasn’t packed. The burgers were okay, but definitely not worth the prices they are charging. I had a classical burger and my boyfriend had a double burger with bacon (see photo!) and fries with mayo with herbs to share. We paid around £20 for both of us (you can see it in the first image) and we didn’t feel like eaten really. It’s a good concept, but prices do not reflect quality. You can easily spend £20-£25 per person for a burger, fries and a drink.
Toilets were running out of toilet paper, so make sure you take some tissues when going to the toilet! Maybe that’s why the tissues are situated by the toilets :)
G. K.
Ordered one each of the beef and chicken burger to try! The burgers were a tad on the dry side but the buns were lovely. Also had the chocolate and cookies and cream milkshake which was amazing!
N. V.
Not as many choices as a dairy queen or culver's might have but the custard was good. Went twice. It's vacation & too many places near here close at about 5pm.
A. M.
Good vibe, polite staff (which is rare in London), great burgers.
S.
Burger didn't live up to the hype my girlfriend implied it was. However the gouchang bites were amazingly well cooked and tender and the fries were delicious too.
Couldn't help feel it may have been a little expensive as far as fast food goes but then again the quality of ingredients (at least the chicken) was second to none.
m. m.
Spent £68 for 3 double burger and 2 hotdogs, the burgers are as dry as cardboard and not well seasoned. The Fries however is a slayer..The hype friends telling me seems not true. its an expensive burger chain out there. Burger King will beat them in many ways..
B. M. I.
Great food at a very reasonable price. Daughter loved the cheese hot dog, wife and I I both liked the Chic N Shack. Cider wasn’t great, but it was drinkable. Cheese fries were fantastic as well.
m.
I ordered Chipotle Cheeseburger and Ice Tea. Tea was excellent, just as it supposed to be, without any sugar or overflowing flavour, just perfect. However burger was unbelievably salty. Couldn’t event feel the flavour of the beef, cheese or whatever else that was inside the bun because of that. And I paid £10, that’s very steep... I’m not really sure if I’ll come back. Probably no, because you can get better burger for less than half price at McDonald’s.
J. P.
Good burgers but the service. Is. Terrible. It takes more than 20 mins to get a burger. At a FAST FOOD place. The last time I went in here I asked for a Caramel Shake - was told there were no shakes left - then saw a member of staff walking out with (you guessed it) a Caramel Shake 10 mins later. This place values it’s customers very little. Go for the food but RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN from the god-awful service
e. L.
Yummy burger but portion wasn't too big. Mushroom burger is special but would like to see more choices besides beef and chicken. Like their hot mustard very much, taste like wasabi!
P. M. (. f. P.
Took my cousins for their first Shake Shack experience, and god it was good. Self proclaimed burger conosseuirs were impressed!!
J. T.
Burger taste wasnt bad, but size was pretty small for the price. Chocolate shake was by far the best part of the meal.
Ordered take out, and the wait was pretty long at 10pm which was a bit unexpected.
a. m.
Really nice food, burger could have been abit burger especially with the price, wish they had more halal options as only chicken was halal. All in all lovely place and tasty food.
R. D.
We tend to visit this branch regularly however yesterdays visit fell short. Food took ages to arrive and when it did the burgers were just about warm plus the coke was also flat, even when asked to change it the drink came flat again. Overall the staff are friendly and the store is clean and has ample seating space. Decently priced spent roughly £26 on two meals, usually really pleased with shake shack but this particular visit wasn't great.
M. F.
As an American, New Yorker, who moved to England three years ago. I just happened across this Shake Shack on the way home from a meeting one day! What a please surprise. My all time favourite item from the menu is the shroom burger. I loved it because it’s light and fresh. However I was slightly disappointed to find out that the cheese was yellow blend as opposed to the traditional American version. Nonetheless the burger was delicious and reminded me of Home.
Highly recommend anyone who wants a fresh good quality burger try Shake Shack!
A. B.
Just next to the Victoria station. Simple menu, delicious burgers. Veggie shroom burger is awesome. Battered portabello mushrooms and cheese. Cheese fries are delicious as well. Only minus is the slow service. We musta waited for about 30minutes for the milkshake to be prepared and it wasn't even busy.
J. o.
Average burger, medium wait for a fast food restaurant (although the buzzer waiting system is cool) and soggy chips. The service was lovely however, everyone was keen to help and smile. Just a shame the foods no better than macdo's but 1.5 times the price.
P. D. T.
Update: I went to the shop and received an apology and a refund so I'm very happy with the customer experience overall, but no one will remove the feeling of being discriminated on the first contact.
First time (and last) in Victoria's Shake Shack, ordered a burger with no lettuce, which I repeated twice to the cashier, and received a burger WITH LETTUCE and WITHOUT TOMATO AND ONION... what the???
I hope this is not a homophobic incident as I was wearing a mask with the gay flag and I didn't like how one of the chefs was looking at me.
I will be coming tomorrow to get a partial refund because the fries were fries...
Really bad experience to be the first.
R. A. F.
I visited this ShakeShack yesterday and had the best meal, Natalia was so lovely her customer service was 10/10 what a star
O. G.
Shake shack it was pretty consistent with the rest of the chain. There's upstairs seating which is cool and for those from the States no buzzers just an order board
A. E.
Overpriced for the portion and taste that they give you. Vegan burger tasted sour as hell, they need to work on that. Overrated you could say. But was overall okay.
K. E.
Sometimes when all you need is a burger which isn't cooked into a crisp frisbee, but instead filled with delicious and juicy flavours, paired with cheesy chips....well Shake Shack is the place for you!
D. J.
Have different taste with American ones. They also don't have chicken selection for the menu. The place is strategically located though, very close to Victoria station and its coach station. Seating is comfortable and the views are great. Price is too expensive for fast food.
J. C.
No queues or wait which is great for a shake shack, but it is starting to feel mass produced. The fries were a bit stale and the burger meat was a bit tough. The bread was very good, spongy and a bit crispy outside. The chocolate browny shake and strawberry shake were good. Still better than most burger joints in London, but it doesn’t stack up to its counterparts in New York.
j. i. c.
Tasty food. Mainly burgers, hot dogs and fries. Soft drinks almost £3 but with unlimited refills. Best sitting area is upstairs. Environment is ok to take a quick bite but not too comfortable to stay too long.
C. H.
Food was quick, the person serving didn't mess u around and made sure ur dietary focuses are met also the view is 👌🏼 (good soup)
R. D.
I sat down for lunch twice over two weeks and I do like there food, the problem is the price is pretty high for smallish burgers which are super tasty I can't deny. Also the last time the order was wrong with a broken wooden fork which made the worried I had wooden shards in my chips, not sure why they gave it to me like that.
Z. L. Z.
The 4 of us went to Shake Shack and we loved it! The Managemer Matteo gave us a personalised treatment and all the staff are so friendly (unlike most central London places).
The food was delicious and we will definitely be going back there again!
E. R. M.
Burgers, fries and shakes are great. The staff are nice. The seating in this place is not great though. Bathroom facilities are not so clean.
M. H.
Great food. I would recommend getting the cheese sauce in a separate pot. However, it's not fast food. Waited 20-25 minutes from ordering. It's unusual for burger joints to not offer fast service.
J. M.
Decent food, tried to rip me off by giving me a half full milkshake while my friend got a full one. If I’m paying £5 for a shake I expect it to be overflowing…
I.
Fuss free ordering in the new COVID environment. Love the dog and black n white smoothies. Baby friendly place. Second floor have a great view.
S. T.
Three stars mainly due to my first experience being in NYC and it not living up to my memory, they say everything in the US is bigger I dont think thats the case here just maybe more expensive in London, Staff were quick and organised in the kitchen.
E. H.
Similar to Shake Shack in the US. The exclusive local flavour appears to be fried shallots, it's an nice variation to the ones in California.
R. T.
Not too busy as was near 12pm, kind of seasonal menu available, so let's try something. First time here, more familiar with Covent Garden location. Anyway order to the counter, truffles chips, chicken shack and soft drink no ice. Kind of longish wait for not being busy, but collect my tray and get to the table at ground level. Start with the chips wich are not too bad, but considering they charge 50% more than a regular portion for a little bit of flavoured mayo sauce already topping the spuds stick to the regular version, they're way better! Then I had a sip of my drink and was not carbonated, if you like your drink when they fizz out of a can you'll understand, the postmix as not be checked before service in my opinion, not impressed at all, finally going through my burger, yeah ok, but from
Shake Shack I have a level of expectation that is above ok, so let me say that I have been put off by my experience here today. Last really terrible thing, the ground floor has been cold like, I would have expected if I had to sit at the outside tables, which they don't have, but you could really have the same feeling but not the rain that been falling in London intermittently today. Ciao
R. R.
A good choice when you crave a decent burger. The fries were excellent as was the service.
B. D.
While staying in London we visited this shake shack on two occasions, as expected great service and great food, highly recommend.
G. L.
Waited a long time for two chicken burgers. They were delicious but didn't expect to wait so long. I love a shake shack, great to have one in the UK!
G. H. W.
A great restaurant for burger: Beef, Chicken (hallal) and Shroom (vegetarian) burgers are available. Also available are hot doors, shakes, custards(ice creams), beers, wines and soft drinks.
A great place to work too and I happen to work here!
D. W.
Great Burgers crispy chips friendly staff especially Richie who looked after us well😀
I. E.
My London adventure would not have been complete if I haven't tried their 100% beef burger. I highly recommend this. If you love spicy food then try to add some Louisiana hot sauce which is my favourite hot sauce ever since I travelled to USA.
N. P.
Hi , i came recently for holidays in London. I was walking around the Buckingham Palace and after we decided with my boyfriend to go to eat. We found Shake Shack Victoria and to be honest i really enjoyed. We was served by Eri. She helped us to chose the burgers and the shakes . We visited this shop 2 times . We will come again soon Shake Shack 😉.
D. W.
Because of covid, you don’t order from the counter, instead you found a table, ordered food online, then a staff will bring the food to you. Service is ok in this branch, not the best shake shack I have been to but I suppose the burger still tastes good.
P. V.
I give it 5 stars for the food. I Went with my 2 siblings all had different burgers and they were very tasty, the bun is nice, the meat was nice, lettuce was fresh...we really enjoyed the chips too, not greasy and had a good taste too, kind of paprika??? (I think)
Had a "Yuku lemonade" and it was really nice!
My sis had a pumpkins frozen drink which was amazing!!!!!!!!
You do have to wait a lot for food to get to the table and not much seating inside. That was the down side to it.
D. F. (.
Good tasting burgers, but the milkshake was warm, no cheese on the fries we ordered and painfully slow. 32 minutes I was waiting for a simple order!
t. b.
The £12.75 single cheese
Ok so this was with home made lemonade and fries,
The cheese burger was tasty but at that price it was no jack rabbit slims , they definitely had the £5.00 shake .
But couldn't see Marlyn , or Humphrey ,not even buddy. But I definitely got served quickly. Just a shame I couldn't serve it back. But hey it's the middle of victoria 😳left the lemonade on the table
Please turn the AC down freezing
S. A.
Excited to try the Shake Shack for the first time. Got a Chick n' Shack burger. Flavour was good, but portion was incredibly small. Got some Chick n' Bites (which were basically popcorn chicken) also.
Paid around £20 for burger, 10 chicken bites, and cheesy fries. Pretty pricey for something I feel KFC does better, at cheaper. Again, you're paying for the American Brand experience, in central London, though probably best to go KFC..
u.
The Tiramisu Shake is very special, loved it! The burger is very good as well.
C. S.
I had a burger here the other day, I think shake shack has got to do something to compete with the many other burger specialists as for the size and taste Vs price. I was less than impressed as it was relatively small (I got the double) and overpriced, I could think of many other places for a better burger
k.
Small portions but good quality. Service was ok. Sadly, I spot only one toilet, which was occupied all the time as it was quite busy period.
A. A.
I love the mushroom burger, but the crinkle fries with cheese is soo salty, better not put salt in it if they’re pouring it with cheese spread.
A. C.
The waitress was extremely rude. She shouted and was extremely sarcastic about me taking my receipt. I wear a sunflower lanyard which should be common knowledge to staff to be patient. Food was good though :) 3/5 stars :D
J. M.
Great pumpkin milkshake. No whipped cream needed. Great burger. Double Angus beef no fries. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Pay them a visit. Try something new. That milkshake was the one right there.
Α. N.
I have visited this store several times and I have been very happy with the customer service and more specifically with the tall girl sitting at the till. She is always smiling and willing to help. I think her name is “Eri”
M. A.
Busy place which can't keep up with cleaning up after customers, toilets are a mess, seating is not the best. Burgers and shakes are amazing but chips are a let down
S. P.
Great food, love the burgers and fries and lemonade 👌pity that the toilets were a mess.
K. S.
Excellent service and food! Went above and beyond to rectify an error in the order!
n. p.
Was on the bus and saw the pride shake so literally got off and had one!
Loved it so much
R. J.
expensive for what it is. chicken is currently halal. chicken burger and chips for £10 is expensive. waited 30 mins for takeaway
r. v.
I have been ordering online without any problem.
But these last two online orders were terrible boxes without any security sticker (anyone can open and move) the fries scattered around the inside of the box looks like someone plays football and the boxes before delivering.
Dangerous recipe..... NEVER ASK ONLINE AGAIN (DELIVERO)
J. H.
New online ordering system can be improved.
s. m. r.
great burger but expensive
also there was so crowded
C.
GOOD and expensive....wish the burgers were a bit bigger
J. A.
It was one of the best burger experiences ever. The burger itself was so tasty, even though the recipe of the burger that I ordered was so simple (meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sauce, in buns) it was unbelievably good. The shake and the fries were the best things ever, unfortunately, the portions were a bit small.
The people who take your order are so friendly and helpful, they even try to recommend the burger that suits your taste best.
If there is a higher rating than five stars I would rate it higher, honestly.
R. H.
Nice location, clean and wasn't overly busy when we went. Staff were helpful and even helped clear our table.
F. R.
Great burgers, fast service.
J. T.
Great food which was very tasty. I appreciate its freshly cooked but I felt the wait was too long.
A. K.
The truffle burger is one of the best I've ever tasted, in this case it's definitely worth the money. Soft drinks are some of the most expensive in London and are poor value. Service can be busy as it is in a touristy location, but it's worth the wait!
E. C.
I been there many times with my friends. The staff that was working expo lost my order but thanks to the girl that is working at the till her name Erizelda 😊 i received my order on time. She is really kind and helpful . Thank you🤗
J. P.
Excellent american burger chain bringing their best to the UK. Great specials and guest menu items every quarter.
A. S.
Crazy busy location in London, but it’s Shake Shack so you know the food is good.
L. E.
Great fries. See picture.
Great burger.
Chocolate milkshake could be better.
Good location.
A lot of people.
A. S.
Scanned a code on my outside table to order on my phone for table delivery. Covid friendly and ensures your order is right.
Tried the Herb Mayo Bacon Fries which has spring onions and a mayo sauce. They’re tasty and no real complaints, but the tangy mayo don’t hit the way the classic cheesy fries do. The salty goodness of the liquid “cheese” is what does it for me. Will try to get the cheesy fries with the bacon and green onions instead.
The ShackMeister is a favourite. Add tomato, lettuce, pickles and the cherry peppers for the perfect burger. 🤤
C. B.
Food is typical of the chain, better than the average fast food burger but significantly more expensive (but you know that coming in). The issue with this branch is the speed (or lack thereof). Even when completely empty you can expect to wait 10 mins+ for you order and when busy its more like 20 mins or more - makes it pretty useless as a work lunch venue for me.
C.
Small but tasty burgers and chips
N. A.
Proffessional and friendly service! Mattie was very helpful! She’s the best!
A. C. (.
Great food and service. But the dirty tables, walls and floor were a bit of a let down. Toilet was even worse.
M. J.
I loved the service, I was there on Monday, for a quick brunch and had a chat with his lovely polite staff member I think his name was Steven or Stephane me and my husband loved the food as well 😊
H. M.
Shame it's really nice place to eat in or takeaway, however I ordered 3x burgers with dressing separate including the cheese everything was correct apart from the cheese on the burger was on it and the cheese sauce wasn't in with the order x3 and 1 of the burgers had a hair on it eventhough I had another box from collection to cover the takeaway rather than the order exposed (open) takeaway so there's no way of anything going in the bag.
Not a good experience at all.
But service and everything is great.
C. L.
Mattie and Roxy have excellent customer service. I recommend this place to anyone!
S. T.
Aint much to the burger for the price and doesnt come with chips as standard, had a double because I've been cycling all day but finished it in a matter of a few bites, place doesn't know what it wants to be, its nice restaurant prices with a takeaway vibe. Just feels odd and empty with blasting music. Half a meal really and for the price I'd expect a full one, left feeling hungry still.
N. L.
A burger this good should be criminal!
I don't know whether I was just extraordinarily hungry, however it felt addictive. Very few burgers have left an impression so strong on me.
L. C.
I came here quite a while back, but it’s left a bloody good impression on me - so much so here I am here writing a review long after the experience. Beautiful burger and I’m not normally a cheese on fries type of guy but I thought I would give it a try as I saw another table tucking into them and they looked tasty, and man did I not regret this, especially with the crinkle style fries. Was surprised by the menu lacking any options for kids meals but loved the fact they catered for pooches. Great stuff guys - hope the empire continues to grow and one day you open one up in Horsham.
D. B.
I used to enjoy these in the US. However the burger was greasier than I remember - they also didn't have the concrete I ordered (Gingerbread Ahead) - the alternatives were an offensively named chocolate one or one with a tart which the staff could not describe what it was. They no longer seem to offer the option to build your own anymore. On the positive side, the fries were good and service was quick.
f. a.
Lovely impressive looking building which draws you in. Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there. The double burger I ordered was lukewarm and greasy and the bottom of the burger bun was soggy. The cheesy chip sauce was tasteless and sickly and for an extra £1.00 it wasn’t worth it. However, the milkshake were really nice. Shake shack is overpriced for what you actually get and the portions sizes were pretty small. I would not eat there again.
S. S.
This is a real treat for the burger lover. Double cheese with bacon, side of crinkle cut fries with American processed cheese. Strawberry milkshake. OMDAYZ... This was the best burger I've had in ages, and I love, I mean LOVE burgers. The bacon was crisp and flavoured, the patties where moist and beautifully cooked the bun was slightly overwhelmed by the meatfeast inside but tasted exactly as I wanted. Fries perfect, pot of possessed cheese, again heated and gloopy to smother those fries. Milkshake so full of flavour, not a worry on this beverage. Top marks guys top marks.
s. c.
Delicious food but takes a while to get your food and very limited seating at the moment.
W. H.
Good tasty burgers, although a little expensive. Service was very quick. Unfortunately I noticed that many of the staff here have a habit of chatting to each other while working and I believe this affects their basic communication with customers (the guy at the counter suddenly shouted something to a colleague while I was giving him my order). The upstairs seating area is also like an oven.
G. S.
An excellent burger. Great fries.
D. C. C. D.
We had to ask again for our order as they were not preparing it after 20 minutes waiting. The place was not busy at that moment. Toilet was not much clean.
A. K.
Incredible burgers. The signature smash patty lives up to the legacy with its crispy outer crust and juicy middle. The shakes are also incredibly high quality with a great flavour selection and thick consistency. Don't pass an opportunity to visit if youre in the area, even if you just settle for some fries. Staff were friendly and helpful. Orders came out quick and accurately.
A. H.
The service of the staff was great, passable. Burger and fries did not look or taste old... just the right way of cooking.
C. W.
Americans FYI - rare to medium rare burgers are the norm. If you want it cooked more, tell them up front! Went twice and waited 10-15 minutes for the food both times. Staff was polite. Semi-clean. Once there was no ketsup in the customer prep area. Fries great. Burgers greasy.
Shakes tasted different than back home (I think it's the chocolate). Chicken option was nice to see and not bad.
D. L.
Unfortunately the day we visited the toilets were very dirty. 2 were blocked. Such a shame as staff were quite busy.
E. V.
Oh my goodness!! SO. TASTY. We had the Shackmeister burger with garlic mayo fries and a strawberry milkshake. We loved it. The menu isn't huge, but that just means that they've spent time making sure the stuff they do serve is delish. I would highly recommend.
T. B.
Very tasty burgers, done differently, but the milk shake was completely out of this world. The dessert was huge and only a single size and was incredible. And to top it off it was pretty cheap compared to most places
R. L.
I really enjoyed the food I'd ordered - a spicy cheeseburger, crinkle cut chips and a chocolate brownie milkshake. It was all very tasty and ready pretty quickly. The only thing was that the seating could have been arranged better as it was quite cramped.
V. E.
Quality fast food, lovely beef burger , frise, the lemonade nice and refreshing, staff lovely. It's a small place can be crowd quickly when people waiting for food, but there are some tables upstears as well. It's a perfect place to have a quick but quality burger on your way.
A. C.
Fantastic burgers, super friendly staff, and a very convenient outdoor dining area -it was so nice to finally be able to go out for dinner, thank you Shake Shack, we'll be back!
S. G.
The burgers were absolutely lovely, but we had to queue for 10 minutes to place the order. We were then told to take a seat and given a buzzer which would flash and vibrate when our food was available to collect so another 10 minute wait. Hardly fast food so wouldn't recommend if your hoping for a quick bit to eat
G. Y.
Nice food, but a bit pricey, even for London
E. L.
Amazing truffle fries!! Really taste the truffle and the burger for sure is good!
S. S.
If your looking for something light and quick to eat in London great place to eat
B. H.
The juicy burgers at Shake Shack are among the best in a crowded market. I return here often. Don't expect much in the way of ambience - it is a glorified corporate burger joint - but the service is fast and friendly. The burgers might be on the greasy side for some people but perfect for me - very nicely seasoned and their topping options are well chosen.
A.
Have only been here while inebriated but I enjoyed both times. Ordered the mushroom burger booth times and it was pretty damn good, love the cheese on top! Expensive mind but hey, yolo, am I right guys!
Do not get the iced tea though, it tasted like a really grumpy cat has emptied its bladder into your mouth.
m. k.
Food was tasty enough if not as warm as you might expect. Also quite pricey for what you get. Compared to a similar burger chain price point - say Five Guys - you get less and it isn't as good.
Also saw another guy having his cold fries substituted.
Astounded there are no recycling facilies for the plastic cups and glass bottles.
J. B.
The food is nice here but if you're expecting a big or even a normal sized burger...don't. The burger is the size you'd expect to feed a child not an adult. Fries are good, milkshake was great! Overpriced for what you get though.
B. N.
The burgers are very tasty and fresh. They serve Root Beer!!
E. _.
Good food & service but had no milkshake 😢😅
E. K.
Stopped here for dinner after walking about seeing the sites of central London. All our food was well prepared and hit the spot. The location made seating a bit of a challenge, but we were able to find a table on the upstairs level, which ended up giving us a pretty good view of the action along the street.
A. K.
Really busy when l visited and service struggled as a result, but the wait was worth it.
I really enjoyed the Shroom Burger and regular crinkle cut fries. It came freshly cooked and with a smile when served.
If you like burgers this is a place to find.
S. B.
Burgers are small, especially for the price and only ok quality. Cheese fries have awful plastic cheese melted on them.
Overall not bad food just not good value for money to the point of being over priced for the whole experience. I'll come back when it is half the price or I get table service and more than a tray.
I was going to get a beer but the fact that the staff clearly had no idea how to pour a pint, evidenced by the large line of plastic glasses full of foam, put me right off. The iced tea was weak and flavourless too.
Customer experience is not great. Not sure how this is sustainable.
A. K.
Haven't eaten in here yet but did get a chicken shack burger take away. Service was quick, food was delicious but I dropped a star because I feel it is overpriced for what you get. There are better places out there with bigger portions at much cheaper prices. Would still recommend trying it as everyone has their own tastes.
B. V.
Tourist trap with decent shakes and burgers. Despite being a big operation it is far from fast service, and often with mistakes from a team who act like they don't want to be there. There are better choices and servers across the road at Bleekers Burgers.
N. Č.
Good food I had one of their signature burgers with cheese topped fries. Taste wise it is good, and it is quite filling in regards to portion size. But somehow I have a feeling it is overpriced for what it is a higher and end fast food.
K. B.
We had an absolutely brilliant experience on 6/7/19 delicious food and great service! Aldo was an absolute dream and made our evening by being so friendly! And special mention for manager Andy too!!
We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the capital! Loved my chocolate malt!!!!!
V. T.
Hard working and lovely staff. You can't go wrong with a triple shackburger and a large 50/50
A. B.
Similar to other shake shacks. The shakes are amazing but I feel the burgers are on the small side giving the price (£6.50 for a single and £9.50 for a double).
This location has decent amount of seating spread across two levels. Service is friendly and quick.
K. B.
I would give more stars to the food, as it’s really good, if a bit pricy. However my order was “lost” in the system somehow and myself and three other people had to wait half an hour to find out what was going on. Initially I just got blank looks and an “we are doing our best” which is far from helpful. It really wasn’t that busy. After raising a complaint, we were offered a free drink, and our food arrived. Great food, great location, looks good inside, but they need to work on their kitchen processes a bit.
J.
I had the Shroom burger, which arrived picture perfect and was really tasty; a breaded, deep fried mushroom filled with melty cheese. The cheese fries are excellent, covered in a gorgeous cheesy sauce. I also had a concrete for dessert, and they missed off one ingredient which was a bit of a shame but it was still great. Next time I would go for a plain concrete as it's so delicious on it's own that the mix-ins are almost a distraction! There was always a queue to order, but it moved fairly quickly and I like the buzzer system for being notified when to collect your food. Being a busy fast food place, we grabbed a table when we saw someone leave and no one came to clean it so that was the only thing I'd really change. I definitely want to go back for more! As vegetarian fast food options go, this is my favourite veggie burger in London so far.
Z. C.
Matteo / Mattaeu (from Napal) - great service, kind and considerate. The food first time round wasn't exceptional and for the price this was slightly disappointing, but this gentleman accommodated us accordingly and with enthusiasm. This man has a bright future. Will return.
A. A.
Wow what would appear to be an overpriced fast food place turned out to be a great experience. The cheesy fries are amazing, I went for the shroom burger and it was packed full of flavour, I then opted for a christmas cookie shake which was really nice but took a while to receive from ordering!!
S. H.
good quality food, fast service, decent price. I got the burgermeister + chipotle and cheese crinkle cut chips, very nice. Cost about 13 quid, would give 5 stars if price was nearer 10.
J. G.
The food, the music, the service, the weather... everything was perfect!
L. P.
Fast, clean and organised... Good fast food restaurant
L. F.
Food was ok. Bathrooms were some of the worst I have been to. Extremely dirty. They were gender neutral, which didn't bother me but a male employee left the seat up, didn't flush, and didn't wash his hands before going back to work.
江.
very good burger!!nice place for fast food, but it is expensive😂😂
G. L.
I was a little torn between giving this place a 3 or a 4 star rating. In the end it was a 3 for the following reasons. Limited toppings for the burgers which were incidentally overdone. No free refills. The fries were fundamentally good but the special that I got was topped with garlic cheese, parmasean and spring onions which was a little OTT. This is in comparison with Five Guys and Wendy's
H. #. S.
I had the ShackBurger with Cheese fries. This restaurant knows that everything is better with cheese. The apple pie shake was very cooling and delicious. Brown stuff always looks yummy. Wish I lived closer
R. I.
Great and quick service and delicious food. Easy and safe to dine in. The prices are more than reasonable. I am so happy because I chose this place.♥️
C. L.
The most delicious vegan burger and fries you will ever buy
Z. M.
Place was extremely packed, no place to sit even though I placed an order so I could eat in.
For the 15-20 minutes I was waiting for my food while, I constantly moved around for people to pass by .
I enjoyed the burger and the loaded fries, which I ended up taking out.
P. D.
Food is good. But it's pushing it on price given burger fries and shake will set you back twenty quid. Also tables need wiping more regularly, mobbed at midday and soon as you try and pay with credit voucher from head office ''computer says no"
A. K.
Service was good, I ordered just a milkshake, but it came out rather quickly, and was correct. There is plenty of seating for you and your friends. The place overall was very clean and have clean restrooms too.
M. B.
This review is about the Shake Shack situated near Victoria Station.
Service: 5/5. Everyone was friendly and polite, so I have no complaints at all. It took about ten minutes for our order to be ready and they notify you with a beeping device.
Food: 4/5. The burgers and the fries we ordered were very tasty and went really well with their Shack sauce. The two things that bothered me were the size of the burgers (so tiny!) and the fact that they did not have a gluten-free bun even though their website says it's available everywhere. As a result I had to eat my ShackBurger in a lettuce wrap, which was a bit uncomfortable.
Location: 5/5. The fast food is located near Victoria Station and there are a few others in Covent Garden, for example. The design inside is modern and there are many seats.
Menu: 4.5/5. The menu is varied, there really is everything a fast food has to have. I removed that 0.5 because of the gf bun.
Price: 3/5. I expected to spend much less, instead we spent over 20£ for two (tiny) burgers, cheese fries and a bottle of water!
Total: 4.3/5.
L. S. D.
You can order different tipes of burgers, meat, chicken and veggies, fries & shakes. We try de bbq fries with cheese, bacon & bbq sause & were crunchy, the burgers a little small ( the regular size) and the brioix bread good .They get my burger order wrong & they changed fast and with any kind of problem. You can refill you drinks for free . It’s usually crowded & you will have to wait on the line to order. They are not expensive at all!!
s.
Food taste great! The supervisor was very helpful and gave us a good service. The only problem we had was tables where not that clean and floor was busy.
T. R.
Famous New York burger join which has rapidly expanded into the UK over recent years. Found the burgers to be nice tasting but a bit on the soggy side, and very expensive for what you get. Shake Shack didn't offer anything that special and much prefer Five Guys
F. N.
Good quality of food. Nice place
K. K.
The Hot-Dog 🌭 is perfect. Give it a try , worth it 👌 😉
S. W.
Great place for ice cream, milkshakes, a quick burger or hotdog. Open late, given 4 stars as unfortunately this location was quite messy (which was due to the patrons not clearing up after themselves) and we had to clean up a place to sit down.
R. F.
Honest hamburger chain. Much better than Mc Donald's, hamburgers better filled and tastier. Meat more soft, bolder, tasty.
Maybe too slow, maybe pricey (but as usual in London).
H. A.
Average
They claim chicken is Halal, be aware of herb mayo (contain alcohol)
M. H.
Burgers very tasty, a lot more flavour than 5Guys. Fries - too hard and not hot. Drink, very nice. Atmosphere....good
Y. T.
Best burger I've had in my life!
M. N.
This is my favorite fast food burger in London. Good meat and nice melted cheese in a very good bun. The fries are somewhat simple but very good too. Definitely recommend
J. W.
V slow service. There was a queue of 20+ people but only one staff member on the tills. There seemed to be lots of staff in the kitchen (I counted at least 6 different people) but there was no sense of urgency, they were mostly just chatting and joking despite the massive queue! Think they just need to be better organised and more motivated.
C. W.
Always wanted to try out shake shack and now i had the chance without going to america.
The burgers were nice and i like how they designed and serve the burger. Low chance of making a mess and dont need to worry about sauce dropping onto my clothes.
The place can be cold during winter but i dont really care that much. It's fast food and not fancy dining, atmosphere doesnt matter as long as i get food quickly which was the case for me.
Try the food a shot!
S. N.
Stumbled upon this place while walking around and I was quite surprised. The food was amazing especially the beef burger and the mushroom burger . The cheesy fries was on point. The staff are very friendly too. Definitely returning on my next trip.
A.
Pretty clean and vibrant. Expect to pay around £6-11 for a burger. Seating is limited but they do know how to make a decent milkshake menu is hard to read as it is at a strange angle
K. V. Z.
Beef burgers was good. But they don't have hot drinks.
H. A.
Good price, clean food, and great location.
C. N.
Food came out within 5mins
K. L.
Has shake shack lost its magic since the days when it first opened at covent garden? Yes of course it has. It's never quite been the same since the glory days, and when the franchising went crazy. The thing that suffered the most was especially the burger patties. These days they are pretty much macdonald equivalents. Having said that still an OK treat when you are hungry and out of options. I'd say GBK is a much better shout within the same price range. They have been doing very well and always having nice juicy patties.
C. C.
If I could have one last meal before I die, this would be it.
R. D.
Nice place but very busy. 1 chicken was not cooked very well.
M. E.
The ridged design of the fries offers a superior surface area to regular fries, this results in a crisper finish. The burger could be larger, but it is of a good quality. Finally, the toilets are cramped, wet, smelly and generally - grimey. Room for improvement here.
L. W.
The food was ok. They have quite big portions. The food came quickly, but it was almost cold by the time we got it. With how highly my American friends and family speak of the one in NYC, I think it's safe to geuss that this one isn't as good.
여.
Today, when i was supposed to pay burger , card machine had a something wrong.
Then, one staff(He, i dont remember name) served so kindly.
Great staff ever i seen in london!!!!!:)❣️
I was impressed by him.
Also, burger and fries are so lovely!!!!
Thanks for him:)
-.
With Covid now one can order from one's table with an app.
Honestly, why they didn't think about this before. No hassle ordering.
T. S.
Burgers not as juicy as usual. Good cheese fries. Soft drink refills. Overpriced. Nearly £20 pounds for a simple meal.
E. J.
Amazing burgers, well worth the money
A. A.
Good service nice clean restaurant with plenty of seating BUT the Chicken burger is way too small. Tasted good though.
G. F.
A good burger at a reasonable price (we have come to expect a certain premium from these higher quality burger chains) a good variety and new add on's would recommend the concretes and cheese fries ! Smoke shake is my favourite burger double of course
S. W.
Decent burgers, without being spectacular. The "frozen custard" ice cream is just generic bland soft serve. Perfectly edible, but again, nothing special.
K. A.
Double cheeseburger was nice, fries were too. Lemonade far too sweet. Bit too crowded, long wait time (10 mins) and the portions were too small for the price tag of £15.
T. G.
Delicious Burgers and great playlist!
S.
The young lady that looked after us was so friendly, polite and helpful. The food was so tasty
c. p.
On a rainy London afternoon I popped in for a quick bite with my 9 year old. Whilst queuing I explained to the young man, was it possible to find me a seat as I was disabled. Not only did he go outside in the rain to get a table to bring in at set up for me. He also took my buzzer and collected my food. Well done to the two Ricardo’s.
H. R.
Really good service and delicious, albeit expensive, burgers. However the seating downstairs isn’t enough; many high stools available but only a few normal chairs. Orders do take a while. Family/ disabled bathroom available.
A. B.
this is a good greasy cheats thick cut bacon burger went down smooth I will eat here again. only 4 stars cause the pick up area is small and gets jammed up. but wouldn't stop me from smashing another one in my face
A. C.
ok I admit I am a vegitarian who doesn't eat cheese and doesn't like spicy so basically there are no mains there for me to eat. HOWEVER, I LOVE THEIR CHOCOLATE CUSTARD ICE CREAM. It is to die for. I cannot walk past them without going in for their ice cream. Love it.
B. O.
24th March the staff wasn’t ready for the unit open at 10:06am. They continuously yelled with each other when we were already at the cashier. The food was average and the fries served cold.
S. T.
Right across from Victoria Station. I place Shake Shack just above Five Guys.
K. R.
Amazing. Love Shake Shack and missed it since lockdown. Staff friendly and helpful and was amazing as always.
E. K.
Long wait and uninformed staff. The girl who took my order didn’t know what gluten was and it took five minutes for her to find the allergy information sheet. The shake was good, nothing crazy.
a. p.
Sadly the service here was very dis-appointing, had to wait 25/30 mins for our meal. When we finally got it, the burger was sadly not very enjoyable.
R. A.
Busy, but nice food, handy location
K. W.
The burger tastes nice, but that's about it. Really small burger, not worth the price. I wouldn't go again.
S. W.
Well, I don't know what so good about shake shack, so tried it for the first time. I think it is overrated based on the price vs size of the burger, chips and drinks.
H. J.
Chicken Burger and chips were good....very busy and pretty cold...meaning that food went cold quickly....would return and sit somewhere else.
M. L.
Menu is double price compared to standard high street burger chain. Then again all is very tasty. I see customers coming here only for the shake
V. T.
Good priced, amazing food and helpful staff. They do have a limited menu at the moment but that is understandable. Very close to victoria
P. W.
Love it. Great food and reasonably priced.
The Shroom Burger is particularly nice.
Just.round the corner from the office so I'm sure I'll be back
T. O.
A quality burgers and Very tasty fries, your order is cooked while you wait, it looks the restaurant is efficiently run.
V. J.
Staff friendly, food was nice and tasty but over priced especially ordinary burger but tasty. Chips not hot. Waiting area upstairs cold and music way to loud. Better value else where.
P. K.
Wasn’t impressed with the quality of the food for a price tag almost as much as Five guys.. Overpriced burgers, the buns were weirdly too sweet.
R. C.
Fries were cold, waiting time was 🤬
T.
The food tastes very good, but the portion sizes are too small for the price you pay, also the place is kinda small and it could be hard to find a space to sit, when the place is busy.
R. C.
My favourite for a quick and tasty burger. Was a little greasy but otherwise the best.
C. A.
Lovely burger with a nice sweet brioche bun and milkshake nice and thick very quick on order too!
F. K.
Good food but at a steep price, and the food comes with a long wait 20+ min for a burger and fries... so although the food the good, the waiting time and price drags the rating down a lot
m. s.
Service is friendly but Hot Dog is disappointing (no filling) as is the so called ale (tasted like a lager). Although milkshake is good my wife said
J. T.
The two shakes we got were really good, but that we had to stand in line and wait for them for quite a while wasn't, especially since there were only four people in line. The entire service seemed very disorganized, wrong orders, etc.
S. M.
A Bit pricy, nice mushroom Burger!
a. j.
Food was very nice, staff were approachable and kind. Quick service. The chips with cheese was superb.
K. H.
Good food. Very tasty burgers. I always have the veggie option 'shroom burger' which is delicious. Speedy service.
V. C.
Long queue post-Hamilton. Great service except for getting one of the burgers wrong (given beef instead of shroom!). Cheese fries were good. Burgers felt a bit overpriced.
A. T.
Quick and professional service, with good quality food, you might pay a bit more than elsewhere but definitely worth it. Enjoyed the Xmas Cookie shake
W. B.
The food is great and I'm always a loyal customers. But the staff was not friendly and this is why I only gave three stars.
J. P.
Burger patties are a bit dry compared to the US version. Not sure if it's the UK way of cooking it but other than that, if you're from the US, it tastes the same.
L. D.
Good burger, fries and shake just the waitress seemed a bit passive aggressive to myself and a couple cutomers (the other people where fine).
K. L.
Burgers and shake taste just like they do back in the States. As an American living in Europe they tasted amazing and made me feel like I was back home.
A. K.
The most amazing cheesy fries and this month's (June) drink is incredible. There are better burgers, but they'll do.
C. P.
Busy but food amazing
N. J.
The food was very good and so much better than the normal burgers from the clown. It was a shame that the place was a little cold.
S. E.
Always a cracking burger 🍔
E. C.
Great burgers and fries. Our first time trying Shake Shack (we're Australian and don't have it at home) and we weren't disappointed.
A. N.
Extremely long wait (30 min) but classic Shake Shack food- not as good as the burgers in US Shake Shacks but ok. Plenty of seating.
A. C.
Burgers are very small, and over priced but very nice. We waited over 20 minutes for 3 milkshakes so the service time is not very good. There are much better alternatives
M. J. R.
The staff are friendly, food is 100% worth it.
F. J. S.
Burgers are good. Cheese fries are very good.
Bit expensive and usually a bit of a queue but ok to go once in a while.
