This is one of best oriental Indian cuisine I have had, the quality of food was exceptional. The curries were full of flavour. Service was very good! Will definitely be coming back !

Fantastic little Indian restaurant where you can dine in or take away or even pick up your delivery. They make a lovely curry depending on what you like whether it's a korma or a vindaloo. I've been using them for over 15 years.

Delivery was on time and the portion sizes were very generous. We ordered the chicken and lamb biryani with bombay potatoes. It tasted good but a little plain for those who like their Indian meals spicy.

I was very happy with my last order with Shish Mahal. I had issues with my food and after phoning they sorted everything out, which involved a gentleman named Miah making a second journey to my flat. Dealing with my issue was done in an apologetic and efficient way and showed outstanding hospitality skills, something that I think is missing from the industry these days. Of course all of this wouldn't mean much if the food wasn't great but it was perfect! All the dishes were spiced exactly as I'd requested, it wasn't oily and the ingredients tasted fresh. As someone who cooks a lot of Indian food and who has eaten them in their homeland I can confidently recommend the restaurant as superb. Thank you for sorting things out, you now have a loyal customer. Qaasim.

Best takeaway I’ve had in a long time, ordered the takeaway over the phone was told it was going to be about an hour for delivery, however the driver turned up with piping hot foot with I. 30 mins. The food was very tasty and flavoursome, my favourite was the garlic king prawn sag, which had loads of lovely fried garlic in it . Highly recommend this restaurant/takeaway.

Our friends introduced us to this gem of a restaurant. Great food well cooked and prepared. Really tasty meals and some we have never tried before at an Indian restaurant make it all worth a visit. Good food is worth the wait. So make sure you order a starter. I am on a low carb diet and was able to pick several meals from the menu and still stick within my daily target.

After reading the great reviews I was quite disappointed with the food. Although it was fresh it was too bland and too oily for me.i only enjoyed one out of the 5 dishes ordered. It probably would appeal to people who cant handle spicy food. *The chicken curry was ok The aubergine curry was good The mixed veg curry was ok The aloo saag was bland The daal was too watery and bland Wont order again as I like my Indian food spicy and the way it is made in India, not westernised. I only ordered from here as Tiffin Tin in Wanstead was closed today.

Recently moved to the area and have already been here many times. So happy to have found this gem. The BEST curry that we have ever had. We normally cannot make a decision about what to order so, happily, leave it in the hands of Syed, Aki and the team...we are never disappointed! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Have been coming here for years. Best Indian restaurant in Waltham Forest. Staff very friendly. Due to Covid got a takeaway. Just as good as eating in. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had a very nice evening in Shish Mahal (we've also had their takeaway). Both times, the food was excellent - really recommend. The only downside of eating in the restaurant was the distinct lack of atmosphere.

Great food, great service, great value for money. I have been going here on average once a month for at least 12 years and have never been disappointed. Aloo chat for starter and the crab curry for main course particularly recommended but everything on the menu is good

Great Curry house, good service and very reasonable price. The chicken tikka jalfrezi and king prawn puree are great. So is the mushroom rice and naan bread.

Absolutely amazing. Portion size is great. Best Naan bread I've ever had. Cannot recccomend the king prawn korai enough! Definitely a must for anyone visiting the area. Prices are great too. Will be returning before going home for sure!

Very nice Indian place. The Shashlik chicken tandoori is excellent and I highly recommend it. It's one of the few things I've tried there but I think everything else would be that delicious. The guys there are very nice and it's a real pleasure talking to them while they get your order.

I was treated with outstanding kindness by this restaurant when I fell ill during a meal there recently. I suddenly developed Labyrinthitis (infection of the inner ear, which affects balance) whilst waiting for my food and had to be taken to hospital. Whilst we waited an hour for the ambulance, during which time I was in enormous discomfort and quite worried, the staff did absolutely everything they could to make me as comfortable as possible, including making me a bed from the seats and fanning me constantly (I was sweating heavily). They never once expressed any concern for the trouble I was causing them, the mess I was creating or that having a man clearly ill in their restaurant wouldn't have been good for business. Sadly I never got to eat anything more than one popadom and a mouthful of beer, but what I had was excellent and the rest smelled good! I will be back one day to have a meal, even though it's a 200 mile round-trip for me.

The food was fine, however I was the only customer and was told point blank I was not allowed to sit a a window table as it was a table for four.
