Very much enjoyed the food here. Good amount of meat, loads of options, nice potatoes and the sauces were good too, although the chimichurri was too spicy for my liking. Nothing absolutely blew me away but if was a very pleasant meal and I would come back I was in the area. Very spacious inside, not too noisy and a nice outside area too.

Walked by on a Saturday evening after a long day of touring. Was delighted that the had openings at a high top for dinner. Even more delighted that they had a happy hour. Two drinks for £15 I believe. We had multiple servers for our meal. We ordered a steak that he loved. Came with a salad and potatoes. I have a califlower steak and even though I don't remember the sides per day I do know it was delicious. The food came quickly. The environment especially outside is beautiful but a little chilly for the evening that night. Stop by this one if you are in the area.

Wow, this is a wonderful restaurant. My friend and I have visited this place many times. Whenever we come we get good taste. On November 6th, 2021, we had a most enjoyable lunch at the Stoke House. We didn’t book, but got a nice, spacious table to sit at. Our waiter, Piotr, was quick to bring us Last of the summer wine during the happy hour. This is a cocktail which was a little sour for my taste, but my husband was happy, as there was more for him. I opted for the house red instead which went down smoothly with the succulent lamb shank and mashed potato I ordered. The cottage pie was fantastic as well. I loved the eclectic decor and friendly vibe of the place, and will definitely recommend it.

Delicious burger 🍔 with really tasty new potatos to go with it! The Mac & Cheese was a great additional side if you’re feeling extra hungry or ready to share with someone. The decor and the lighting in the place creates a great vibe for an enjoyable evening with friends! We will definitely plan a return visit on a Sunday to try the Sunday Roast menu. Overall a great time!

The service wasn't the best we waited 40 mins before I had to ask another waiter to take our order because the original guy just left us. Food wasn't bad, we had the meat plater which they said they had no chicken left, then they came back and said they did. Cocktails was nice though.

Had a lovely meal with some friends here, and the service was quite quick for a late lunch. But I felt the meat was very chewy, so not sure about the quality of it. I left some of my flat iron steak behind which is very rare for myself. I love steak houses so for me meat is usually in first place. For the price it was I was not impressed.

Very clean place with nice selection of offerings at reasonable prices. Had a combo meal that shared with one other and the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned as we asked, the chicken and short ribs were a little dry for our tastes. I would definitely come back again and get another steak!

The cocktails are good but we were asked 10 times in about as many minutes by 4 different people if we wanted another drink and staff were too keen to pounce to grab nearly empty glasses. Not a particularly relaxing atmosphere though staff were pleasant and helpful. Will give it one more try.

Just stopped in for a cocktail before going to the theatre nearby. Great cocktail menu and many on 2 for 1. Only down side is when you sit in the sofa area by the door it's really cold as the door doesn't close properly after people so it's constantly a foot open with a really cold draught coming in. We could see them others sitting near us were also bothered by it. Staff did keep going over and closing it, but it was a losing battle with people in and out constantly! Wouldn't go just for drinks again for this reason, made it unpleasant. 🙁 Shame, as the drinks were great and it looked a nice place.

I ate this entrée and loved every exquisite mouthful. The huge chunk of pork with Béarnaise sauce on top was delicious. The shoestring fries were crispy on the exterior but over fried on the interior. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. I didn't have room for dessert. Excellent place.

Great value for money here! We got the bottomless Sunday lunch which included lunch, dessert, and unlimited drinks! The drinks were filled very well, the lunch was piled pretty high, and the dessert was delicious! Highly recommended.

Chicken wings barely okay and very far from the best I have had. Had a burger that was also okay only, actual burger dry and over cooked for me. Also had a few hard bits in it that could break your teeth if chewed upon with a weak tooth.

My friend and I visited The Stoke House on Saturday. We were glad that we did. The food was great - I had the chicken and pancetta pie which was delicious and for dessert apple crumble with cream. Staff were very friendly. I had ordered a side of macaroni cheese, however, the waitress forgot to order it. She apologised profusely and brought over a side of potatoes as an apology. Overall though I felt the food and ambience was great and I would definitely visit again. Many thanks!

Awesome modern carvery in the new development in Victoria. A good selection of cocktails (241 happy hour before 7pm 😉). Always busy so it’s recommended that you book in advance. Attentive service, hosts are friendly and very approachable. We each had a different meat dish and they are all delicious. Remember to order gravy with your food. Good spot for a casual dinner with friends / family.

Tasty cocktails and great bartenders (SHOUTOUT ADRIAN) I love coming here sitting at the bar ordering food and a couple of drinks (they have a great happy hour 5-7pm). Bartenders and staff are super friendly. The Italian Baked Alaska is AMAZING! A great atmosphere here, suitable for intimate dates and group dinning. It gets busy but it’s a good space with loads of seating so you usually don’t wait long to be seated and served. It is wheelchair accessible

We rented a flat right access the street for a trip to London and this was the first place the showed up on the mall that had steak. We were greetedted quickly and seated right away. Or wastes was great. The food was excellent. The girls shared a meat feast, I had the dry aged beef, and the other daughter had the smoked salmon with a side of Mac and cheese. All of the food was great. The Yorkshire pudding a were a little large and mine had some oil it absorbed from the plate of veggies. We all ordered non-alcoholic cranberry mojitos which were great. The paper straws, while good for the environment, wilted fairly quick though. For dessert we had the hot chocolate cake with ice cream. It was pretty hot (temperature wise). It was a little bitter, but when we mixed in the ice cream it was better. The restaurant was clean as we're the bathrooms. We would definitely go back. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible

This place is conveniently located across from Victoria Station and beside the Victoria Palace Theatre. They had some nice lunch specials available on Saturdays, so we took advantage. My husband had the flank steak with salad, vegetables and potatoes. Flank isn’t his favorite cut but it was nicely cooked. The veggies were fresh (far superior to what you normally find in America). I had the same reaction to my lunch special salmon salad, which I enjoyed along with a Thistly Cross strawberry cider. The combination of greens was different than in America, and better. The salmon was perfect, moist and flaky. I felt like I was being healthy and indulgent at the same time.

My friend and I were planning a quick stop here for their happy hour cocktails and ended up staying till late. Grabbed the bar seats as they're the best seats in the house. Great interiors, layout and staff are lovely. We were served by Adrian all night at the bar with his personal red head and mark your day cocktails. Both delicious. For food we shared the short ribs, lamb, and roast potatoes. All delicious, the smoked short rib especially were divine. Nothing to fault at all on a Friday night when it's especially busy. Highlight recommend and my friend and I will be returning.

We loved the beef! The roast and the flank steak were delicious. The sides were nice, but the new potatoes were completely unseasoned. Some of the best beef we have had in a long time. As others have stated, it was very warm, almost hot, in the dining room. Not enough to keep me from going back, however.

This superb restaurant has just opened up Nova Victoria, they have an amazing smoker that gives the meat a subtle woody flavouring and cooks their meat perfectly. I would strongly suggest a visit - no need for reservations just pop in and enjoy the meat feast. From beer can chicken to the most amazing short rib - this is one not to miss.

Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday while in the area. We were greeted by a lovely, smiley waitress who allowed us to choose a table as it was still fairly quiet. A different waitress served us after that and she was a little prickly. For example, when I said I would like the lamb belly she cut me off with 'but you need to order sides with that!' in an exasperated tone. I calmly told her I knew and which sides I had chosen. After that she was more polite but certainly not friendly, and she didn't smile once. My meal was delicious. The lamb belly, perfectly seasoned and tender, arrived with a really good salsa verde and, together with the macaroni cheese and coleslaw sides, made the most amazing plate of comfort food. My boyfriend's meal, which he chose from the Sunday roast selection, was a bit hit and miss. The roasted lamb leg and yorkshire pudding were great. However, the gravy and potatoes (my favourite elements of a roast) were disappointing. The potatoes needed a proper roasting as they weren't even slightly crispy, and the gravy lacked body, both in flavour and consistency. For dessert we ordered a warm plum and almond tart with cream and some sorbet/ice-cream, which were pretty tasty. The total bill was £59, which I wouldn't think unreasonable if the quality of the roast had been better and the service more cordial.

Visited here before seeing wicked on Saturday night for my girlfriend's birthday. I booked on open table and requested two glasses of prosecco upon arrival which were promptly delivered just after we sat. I had a pint of house lager and my girlfriend had a two for one cocktail which she really enjoyed. We shared the platter from the smoker, which was amazing. The everything was cooked perfectly, served with roast potatoes and two sauces of your choice as well as salsa Verde. The chicken was moist and fell apart, the pork full of flavour and the lamb was one of the best I've tasted. The server was friendly and attentive and nothing was too much of an ask. Highly recommended and will return if I visit London again

They are quite generous with their cocktails and they were well produced. The meat dishes are nice but lack a little bit of flavour, I was hoping for more distinct smokiness and flavours when ordering the meat platter. The desert was nice but a shockingly small portion hidden by a thick-based dish. Overall a good meal for the Victoria area.

Not too loud which is a bonus in these kinds of places. Feels cosy and not industrial. Recommended for a business lunch.

Stoke House Modern British Carvery was a fab place to visit in Westminster. Dining on a Thursday night, the place was full of people after work enjoying themselves over some great cocktails and excellent food. If you’re looking bars or restaurants with great atmosphere then add Stoke House to your list! Stoke House prides itself as a modern take on the old classic carvery and it does this extremely well. If you go then you have to try the Meat Feast, because, well why not? All cooked in their on-site Smoker, the Rump, Small Rib, Chicken and Lamb were cooked to perfection. Not one mouthful chewy and every mouthful ridiculously tasty! Everything on the menu looked appealing so it was great to have a good choice for sides and we opted for New Potatoes, Honey Roasted Carrots and Stoke Spicey Slaw, with gravy and Stoke chilli sauce! The dessert menu was just as appealing as the main – it was really hard to choose but in the end we opted for the Chocolate Mousse with Honeycomb and the Baked Alaska Sundae. The sundae was extremely good, so creamy without being too rich. The chocolate mousse was incredibly indulgent so the honeycomb crunch really complimented this cute dessert in a mini jar. Calling all meat eaters – if you’ve not checked out Stoke House yet then you’re missing a trick. Plus the service you receive is awesome – we had one of the loveliest waitresses ever!!

However the beef brisk was dry and when we told our waiter Nicholas, he apologised (even though it’s not his fault) and offered complementary desserts. The Stoke House is just another restaurant. They have food, they have drinks and they have staff. Nothing out of the ordinary. When we visited it was way to hot in the restaurant, it was above 26 degrees at the table, which made it hard to enjoy the food and drinks. The staff also forgot one of our meals, but that might just have been a one time thing. The margaritas where good though 🤤

Visited for lunch the other day and sat outside as the weather was nice(ish). Seating area is nicely sheltered, and very clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The leek, squash and goat's cheese tart was fabulous and was, I thought, good value for money. I would happily have ordered another one. The ice creams were excellent as well. Halfway through lunch the weather changed and it started to drizzle and the waiting staff hurried down to help me move to another table under an umbrella. A very pleasant lunch and I am happy to recommend the Stoke House.

This was a random pop in for an early lunch, so we weren’t able to get an outside table under an awning so we got one on the edge of the terrace. No problem, the sun was shining and it was nice and warm. We ordered and just after our food arrived it started to pour. Enter our hero, the jovial, convivial Australian manager who held a golf umbrella over us and the table until we’d finished. And during our meal we all had a nice chat about life in the UK and in general. Most entertaining. The food was excellent as well. My flat iron steak sandwich with caramelized onions was perfectly cooked and oozed flavour. My companion’s burger was excellent even though they could only do it well done and not medium rare.( I’ve never discovered why some restaurants are able to cook their burgers as requested and some are only allowed to serve them well done). The Garlic & thyme roasted new potatoes (included in the price of the burger, extra for me) were soft and squishy and went down a treat. Nice one, Stoke House.

Great place to grab a steak dish. I visited today for a work lunch and had the flat iron steak sandwich with bearnaise sauce. One of the biggest sandwiches I've ever seen - full of flavour, delicious and highly recommend if splashing the cash for lunch. Waiters were friendly and there was a great range of blankets and heaters so felt warm despite being outdoors. Service was a tad slow but this was overlooked because the food was so nice! I thought the sandwich I had was reasonably priced for Central London but also for the portion size. Will visit again!

Nice place with good food even if it is slightly over priced but I'm downgrading the rating because of their poor people management throughout Sunday 11th July when the football was on. Terrible placement of the TV had it knocked at least 2 times, one of which was 1 person fully tripping over the stand. It was located in the best place for viewing for most people too aswell as the originally advertised screen that was to be set up outside never did get set up, not even once.

I was looking forward to the reopening, the cocktails are as delicious as ever (I recommend the Whisky Sour) & the staff is still lovely and knowledgeable. Things have changed a bit with COVID but it's all well organised: More space between tables, online menu with QR code, one way system, etc... Cocktails are reasonably priced if you take advantage of their 2 for 1 deal. Layout is OK if you get an outside table. Tables in the middle look a little cramped. Overall ok. Cocktails are lovely although quite pricey. Went for happy hour and waitress came to take our order but asked to excuse her. She disappeared for a while and when she came back it was past happy hour and wouldn't apply the offer anymore. Also for some reason paying for our drinks was a nightmare as we wanted to pay separately and that seemed to be a problem. They also tried to charge my friend twice for a pint. The food and cocktails are excellent. I ordered the Cornish roast rump of beef and my friend had the slow roasted Cornish lamb belly. Both were perfectly prepared. We ordered the garlic and thyme potatoes and smoked cauliflower cheese as sides and they were delectable. As drinks, we had the Maker's Old Fashioned, a Pisco Sour and the Eastern Promise and all were perfectly made. Also our server Lindsay was extremely friendly. My only improvement would be that the food arrived at different times with the cauliflower taking a bit longer than the rest. I will definitely be back.

Some of the service was good and friendly - but we were slightly irritated to see that we weren’t offered all the menu choices when ordering. (We noticed people next to us were given an additional menu.) The menu is fairly limited, the goats cheese salad was great, but the chicken was disappointing. The dessert was very slow coming with no apology for delay (it was a mousse) The vibe is cool and contemporary, and the restaurant has great potential - but for us felt disappointing and we wouldn’t chose here again when there are many other restaurants to try in the same vicinity. Paid the added service charge - but to be honest would have preferred to chose how much tip we wanted to leave ourselves.

Mixed experience overall. Very good food, reasonable prices - but service could be pared down a little. The menu comprises of small plates and the stars of the show; deliciously smoked, carefully sourced meat. The vibe is surprisingly buzzy, despite its location in the soulless new Victoria food district. Food was very good indeed, amazing lamb belly, bone marrow plates. The 'small plate' beef shortrib was gigantic, and would have been perfect with some BBQ sauce, sadly not available (but they did have a slightly bizarre selection of lovage pesto, salsa verde, chimichurri...) It also loses points for our fresh mint tea - we were given a trickle of hot water with 8 mint leaves, and the same trickle again when we asked for a top-up, which seemed unnecessarily stingy... If it weren't for the excellent quality and value, I would have rated it a three star for the service. We were constantly pestered and hurried through our meal by the staff - we had to have been asked if we wanted to order upwards of five times, and when contemplating dessert, the same again. Some of the staff members were exceedingly friendly, but sadly I think they are instructed to turn the tables as quickly as possible, which definitely loses something.
