Reviews of Tanner & Co.
T. F.
Thanks for being dog-friendly and for serving so many vegan options. I had a shepherd less pie and mash and was great (just very tiny, so I would recommend ordering some sides as well). The restaurant has beautiful decoration and the staff is friendly. It's great for dinner with friends or a date. The outside area is great too.
P. S.
Good sociable and rustic bar and restaurant with friendly atmosphere and staff. Family friendly and Dog friendly place, a lovely experience even though we only came in for a couple of drinks. Very relaxing and sociable place to have food and drink in
V. G.
Went for my birthday for Sunday roast. We took the sharing roasts, all well amazing. The chicken was so tender and juicy, the lamb was melting in your mouth, the beef so flavoursome! The sides were good too, service great. We sat outside and on that day was playing amazing 80s music. Overall nice experience
Update. Went after 6 months and it was totally different, no sharing roasts and the individual were all quite horrible, very dissapointing and unfortunate
A. M.
I really enjoyed choosing amongst the large variety of cocktails. Everything I ordered was sophisticated and well measured. The food was interesting and it made for great pairing with the cocktails and wine.
G. A.
Lovely place!! Our waiter, Kadaisha did a really great job and ensured we were satisfied and she did so with a smile on her face (really cheerful lady). The fries were bomb and the pulled pork was yummy (way better than I expected. If I must say). Great spot! I was also able to get bomb pictures outside by the flower booth.
R. J.
I must say this place feels so much more welcoming compared to my previous visits! the new beer selection is great and my partner enjoyed trying each of them! a great bonus is that they are extremely dog friendly!, so max was greeted with his own water bowl, a lovely blanket and plenty of doggy treats!
a great way to spend a lazy afternoon!
L. P.
Nice atmosphere, sausage roll was awesome. The lady who served us (i believe her name is Atene) was lovely and really good at her job. A credit to the place. Limited menu but well executed, especially for pub food. Nice to see 2 of the 5 mains were vegan aswell. A pleasant experience.

We came for a bottomless brunch for a friend's birthday. Members of our party had visited numerous times before and had a fantastic brunch previously. The staff were told not to serve us until each glass was empty which was fair enough. Our party drank quickly when told this, but even still we were waiting over 15 minutes whenever we ordered another glass, quite unsatisfactory considering the time limit (90 minutes). If it wasn't for our server Peter, we would have left the establishment feeling disappointed. Peter listened to our complaints and was really attentive, he went out of his way to efficiently bring us drinks when we finished them to ensure we had a proper bottomless brunch (as advertised) and because of this overall we had a lovely time thanks to his service and communication. Food was lovely, even if they forgot our chips initially.
S. T.
Lovely location, wide drink selection. Set menus for meals - limited options for nibbles/bar snacks.
Staff- host was delightful unfortunately the same can't be said for the other severs.
With so many wonderful options on Bermondsey Street I wouldn't reccomened this one.
O. L.
Great brunch, the vegan option was very tasty and we loved the aubergine dip. I would recommend to order a side of fries too as they were perfect. The moonshine and gin cocktails were delicious too. The only negative was small size drinks and service was quite slow. Otherwise the staff were great and we enjoyed our meal.
B. D.
They have an interesting cocktail menu and the service was nice and friendly.
P. M.
Went for a work day out the back. Great staff. Photos are from a park just down the road. Community sculpture made from stone recovered from the Thames.
F. S.
Went here for food after work and it was poor. The BBQ pulled pork burger wasn't great for the price and was luke warm. The service was really bad. One member of our party had no food until everyone else had finished. The wait for service was long. They brought the wrong wine twice. They did take off the wrong bottle of wine but then had the cheek to keep the service charge on the bill. This place might be good for drinks but I wouldn't recommend food, especially for larger parties.
C. L.
Visited with a group of friends last night and i love this place!! the drinks where great and the live music was outstanding! such a fun and happy vibe from everyone, this is the first place to make me really feel like normal post covid life is back and i want more of it! this place will be seeing me and my friends alot more!
A. K.
Absolutely brilliant venue, atmosphere was great the whole evening. I had my friends over and staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Service on both food and drinks was quick and food was great. we would definitely go again and recommend to friends.
C. B.
Beautiful bar/restaurant, very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and lovely food. This place is right up my street, and will visit when in London again. Thank you team Tanner...P.S. Ice Crusher 🧊😉
P. C.
We visited London for a birthday surprise, and to watch Cheryl run the half marathon. This place has a fantastic atmosphere and great staff. The food was delicious. Well worth a visit.
K. K.
The staff were extremely sweet, we were served by Kadesha and Destiny, and when I ordered onion rings, but they ended up being really burnt, Kadesha and Destiny brought a new bowl of calamari for me free of charge. They were so nice throughout our meal and made our whole experience amazing.
R. X.
Came here with a friend last night and will definitely be returning! Nabir and his colleagues were most polite, welcoming and their service was so smooth! Love the Kiwi and Vodka cocktail! Thanks Guys!
J. A.
This is a great spot to do lunch or dinner with those work colleagues.
A couple of things to be aware of, dogs are allowed so if you don't feel comfortable with animals this is not for you. But if you have got an office dog then they can join the party. Secondly make sure you check closing times.
The overall experience was ok, the food was great but the service was slow, the only real disappointment was the apple crumble, which was not made from crumble. We sent it back and got something else.
A. R.
Very good Sunday roast, great service and vibe and kind staff.
Would be great to see more gluten free options on the menu, or the ability to cater for celiacs, as one of us could only order from the starters as a consequence of the lack of options
T. P.
First time at this bar. Fabulous welcome and service from Destine and Daisha. Nothing was too much trouble. Even brought fresh mint leaves to the table for my Moscow Mule. Will visit again!
M. H.
Cool vibes, great live music which was a nice surprise. Friendly staff. The burger using a chibatta bread is not a good choice, just use a normal burger / brioche bun.
M. C.
Love this place. Swift and friendly service from everyone (Sybil was a great host!) and a great atmosphere for a few drinks / some food after work. Great outdoor space for when it’s warmer too.
P. S.
Cool and funky space for cocktails! Came with my friends was looked after by the amazing bar tender mihar ! Couldn’t have asked for a better evening ! Would recommend highly
B. P.
Amazing service: super friendly staff who checked in on us regularly without over doing it. Tasty food: had the 3 course brunch menu with brie burger, hash, plus a scotch egg add on. Everything was fantastic! Great atmosphere: right level of music so you could still hear each other but enjoy the beats. Would definitely recommend to others!
J. T.
such a lovely little hidden treaure! i visited with friends and was greeted by a freindly young lady who couldnt have done more to help with my picky eating ways! this place seems to be a real family friendly spot, i was lucky enough to sit next a table with a beautiful dog who had his own blanket and treats, which was a lovely little touch! we couldn't find any faults at all
E.
Amazing vibes. Great live music. Best amaretto sour I’ve ever had. The bartender Mihai is a legend :)
N. F.
We had lunch at Tanner & Co. All the food was delicious, especially their veggie scotch eggs and chicken pie. The service was amazing but slow. Highly recommended.
D. J.
Cute restaurant, great ambiance and classy cocktails.
B. T.
Best gals night out, love Daisha who served us. she was so much fun, we had great drinks and service!
F. T.
Been there last Thursday for drink with a friend, such a great place, seems very well managed, all staff super helpful, been served in the bar by 'diamond' that's how's she's called, very knowledgeable, friendly and neat with drinks, definitely coming back again!
B. M.
Very nice bar with beautiful interior but drinks are pretty expensive so we could only justify staying for one! Can't comment on the food.
J. C.
We had a really enjoyable meal here; we ate outside by choice - as well as the big interior they have lots of outside tables for the more Covid-nervous amongst us. Excellent food (My burger was grand, and the chips were superb; my companion had a couple of vegetarian options) and the service was brilliant - special mention to Deborah, who was helpful & funny. The only (minor) downside was that I couldn't add a bit extra to the tip.
M. C.
Came here over the long weekend and the place was buzzing. There is a large outdoor space and room for large groups of people. Both myself and my partner had a Sunday roast which was good. The verdict is still out about value though, and the kitchen could have been slightly more conservative with the salt.
j. b.
I enjoyed a light lunch here. Overall I'd rate it very high with little details like advice on where toilets are, complimentary table water. Yes I'd definitely go back. Quite spacious too
D. L.
Really great space with some incredibly interesting cocktails. The bartenders take their time crafting and garnishing each drink, with many made from homemade infusions that are beyond innovative (think venison and truffle cocktail-- mind blown!) the environment has a great vibe and is the sort of place you can happily stay with friends for a couple of hours.
P. P.
Buzzing atmosphere on a Friday with fun games such as Jenga and Who’s who to entertain yourself with. Big shout out to the manager Deborah for helping us out with a sticky situation and rolling her sleeves up to help us out! Thank you soooo much :D
C. C.
Great modern English food, delish cocktails. Especially the Tanner Cola! Lovely staff and an all round friendly atmosphere
H. S.
Discovered this place while wandering looking for a nice pub to get dinner at, I'm so glad I found this place!! £16 for a burger is pretty steep but it was so tasty and wouldn't hesitate in coming back to have another. Not sure why people are so critical, the waiter was lovely and the service was fine, not noticeably slow at all. Would definitely recommend and go back when I'm next in the area
o. c.
This place is so cool !
Super dog friendly, staff are lovely !!!!
Just a shame its not busy right now.
Next time I promise I'll try the Sticky toffee pudding :)
K. L.
Nice decor, loved the outside seating area. Baby friendly with high chairs and baby changing facilities, the manager is great with babies. Yummy non-alcoholic drinks but Saturday lunch menu was limited. I ended up having a steak as the other options were a burger, fishcakes or salads.
L. M.
We visited for my sisters birthday on Thursday and we had an amazing time! the staff where sooo sweet and couldn't do more to help us which made theresa feel really special after a very tough year for our family, the cocktails where great and the tall blonde haired man (We think he was in charge but we were all rather drunk.. so it is possible he was just a handsome stranger!) really made her birthday after wishing her a happy birthday.
i wil be bringing my puppy next time!
M. S.
Food and drinks are perfect and the team are lovely, Kadaisha was fantastic and really helpful
S. G.
Wow, what an amazing evening. The cocktails were to die for, the bartender Mihai was just incredible! Thank you
G. D.
Kadaisha was amazing, complete legend. Whole experience was good, bottomless brunch.
N. P.
Great find on Bermondsey Street. Highly recommend the bottomless brunches - but make sure you book in advance as they are frequently fully booked on weekends.
S. S.
Good was exceptional. Service was friendly and efficient. We were outside for a while. The shelter only partly effective at stopping the rain. Inside is very nice. They have changed the layout since I last came, pre-pandemic. We did have an issue with our booking but they sorted it out, so it did not spoil our night.
M. K.
Shareese was the best, really cute place and they do the best whiskey sours!
C. T.
I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars. At first it would have been 2 stars as the amount of meat on my Sunday roast dinner was only 3 slices of beef. But upon telling them of my dissatisfaction, they supplied me with another complete dinner. Hats off to Akira (server) and Alexa (manager), they were the best! They both showed me that it's all about customer satisfaction. Bravo!
H.
Good food and super dog friendly!!!! They have dog blankets, bowls and treats!!! Will definitely be coming again!
P. R.
Was ok for a quick bite. Slow service and you can tell they are struggling with the staff shortage. Portions were ok. Avoid the pork belly if your hungry though as the portion was pretty poor.
London prices. Which if your not from the area can be hard to swallow.
Chicken burger with two rum and cokes was 59 pounds.
C. S.
It's amazing! On your first visit, we definitely recommend a guided tour. One visit is not enough!
V. S. M.
In general things look pretty nice but the food is not too good and neither is the beer.
We've had the Sunday roast. They look absolutely fantastic. The Yorkshire pudding is gigantic and very pretty. The taste overall is a bit disappointing. Their lager tastes pretty watery which is not to my taste too.
J. D.
Classy on trend bar catering to the needs of the local urbanites. Wild fig and ginger moisturiser in the loo!
N. A.
I live on Bermondsey Street and have been trying all the local places for a while now. Compared to others in the area, the size of the cocktail is abysmal for the money you pay for it and they put unreasonable amount of ice cubes in it. The cold courgette starter was pretty disappointing and the king oyster mushroom ciabatta was nothing to write home about. However, shout out to the staff - good service!
V. R.
Fantastic food, great staff, reasonably priced, good vibe
G. H.
We had our wedding reception here last year. It was the perfect venue! The whole place has such a cool feel to it, but its also really laid back. The staff were fantastic. A special thank you to Miles and Gatis who made the whole process so enjoyable. I think when you are spending a lot of money on one of the most important days of life you want to feel like you have people you can depend on. We were really taken care of and Tanner worked closely with us to make sure everything was perfect on the day. We could not have asked for more! Thank you

Local lager not a bad drop. T&Co burger was filling, but nothing stunning. A good place to hang out, both inside and outside courtyard seating.
C. L.
A very popular restaurant located on a very trendy road. Expensive food but quality is good. If you want to feel you are at the heart of the party, this place will not disappoint.
T. G.
Good for watching the Rugby, but was very empty, not much atmosphere!
T. B.
Food is decent, but now that they're no longer dog friendly there's no USP to come here, just the same as any other place in the area now.
Also not a fan of the new Brunch menu - it's more lunch than Brunch.
S. F.
Absolutely brilliant Sunday roast. Really was one if the best I've had in a long time.
Given this is the first week after lockdown, the staff were on the ball, friendly and efficient.
We really enjoyed our visit. Thank you.
J. M.
Went the day after reopening and was really impressed. Tables were spaced out and everything felt very safe. The staff were welcoming and excited to tell us about the new menu - loved the s’mores pot dessert!
W. K.
Nice place with good choice of wine and the truffle chips ....devine ☺️
S. X.
Decent bar and nice to sit at the bar having drinks, have never had food but has a bigger seated section as well
D. S.
Beautiful bar, decor is amazing. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. Beautiful outside area too. Staff can be a little rude sometimes and the drinks are very expensive. Food is good though, although they do not cater very well for Vegans... Other than that, a nice place to go on a date or to celebrate a birthday.
S. J.
Breakfast was perfect, great service from Daniela
L. P.
We had such a delicious roast on Sunday which also came with a tasty dessert. The place was buzzing and is located in one of the best parts of London. What made it even more special was that our lovely waitress offered us a free bottle of fizz to say thank you for waiting as it was a little busy. We hadn't even waited very long! Appreciate the wonderful service, it makes for such a great experience overall. Thank you, Theresa, for looking after us!
O. W.
Good gastropub but mainly for a drink. Nice atmosphere in the evenings. Wouldn't go there for food ( I prefer healthier options).
V.
Nice environment, we only had drinks. Service was a bit slow, as it was a work meet up we didn't mind so much, had a been there for drinks with friends I would have been frustrated. The toilets are not well laid out or looked after, a mix of men's and women's and unlabelled doors. They facilities needed some love from toilet seats to fixing the leaky taps!
S. W.
Came here for a work lunch. Impressed with the waiter who took our order for 7, with plenty of customisations, without writing anything down and everything arrived as ordered with no issues. Food was hot and tasty; portion size could have been a tad more generous, especially re: fries.
N. D.
This is very stylish vibrant place on Bermondsey street. We had two cocktails, which were decent, priced £10 (normal London price) and we had 5 plates of shares, mostly meat. It was really tasty, portion sizes very decent. They have very nice terrace with lights and heaters. It is definitely worth a go!
M. K.
The food was alright and expected price range for that area (breakfast/brunch for £8-12 for Eggs Royale, Benedict and such) but service was really slow even though the place wasn't busy at all. The waitress wouldn't even look in our direction or walk past to the point where we actually had to go up to the bar and pay our bill there.
Otherwise the atmosphere is good for a business breakfast - good size tables and quiet so you can have a conversation easily.
G. C.
I've had breakfast here several times. Friendly staff with a nice atmosphere. There menu although limited, offers enough to be interesting in the morning. They often accommodate morning group meetings/breakfasts from some of the local businesses sin the area. I'd recommend this restaurant if in the area.
A. M.
Restaurant or a modernist version of a pub? Not sure, but I liked it. The place is very pleasant (slightly retro) and the seating is very comfortable and spacious. The food was very good, the salmon I had for late lunch was very tasty. Prices are on the moderate side, not very expensive but could be better. Service was a bit slow, but it was a relatively slow time of the day, early afternoon. Worth paying a visit.
J. M.
Enjoyed the all day breakfast and the drinks on offer (cocktails pretty good). Bar at the front very busy on a Friday night and quite cramped. Staff have a job trying to keep the place tidy on the few times I've visited.
R. T.
vegetarian option was very poor. had the bean burger and it was so dry. Was a very lively atmosphere in the restaurant however, but did go during a bottomless brunch period so this would have helped. all in all would go back if offered a wider range for veggies.
F. E.
Nice deccor great food nibbles n drinks...help all staff are on point ☝️
I. R.
Staff were lovely and the burgers looked great but at £15-20 they were expensive!!! We settled for 5 sharing plates for £25 with some chips on the side instead of mains - enough to scratch the eating itch but not filling. The meat sharing platter was ridiculously expensive and actually not very nice - the bread and salami were the only nice bits!
J. A.
Kiss my Art Event was amazing. Highly recommend Kiss my Art
L. D.
Lovely garden for when the weather is good. Had to wait for our table to be cleared before ordering even though it wasn't that busy. Ordered the chicken burger which was fairly tasty but not worth the price tag. My husbands drink was as flat as a pancake.
H. M.
I am always bemused by Bermondsey Street. In my 20s I remember being walked to London Bridge by a male colleague as he was convinced it was "well rough" 20 years later it's well chi chi with loads of hipster eateries like this place. The decor was rather blizzare and the drinks menu presented in a small Russian novel as an insert. See what I mean by hipster silliness? There was so much choice it was overwhelming. Thankfully the food menu had a manageable number of options to consider and both my friend and I had really great burgers - his a beef and mine a chicken. Good fries - crispy but soft on the inside. It's too achingly trendy for my taste and far too loud but everyone around us was having great fun!
J. J.
Loved the interior. The food was very average. I'm not sure they have an experienced chef at the moment.
K. Y.
Food is amazing. Being a vegetarian, they have splendid option from ricotta scotch egg to one of the best spicy bean burger. Always a go to place to hang out with friends. Although service may be a little slow during busy hours. Location wise is pretty convenient with London Bridge station about 5 minutes away.
Y. Z.
Cool casual spot that caters for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Industrial chick decorum and lively atmosphere that suits group outings. The food was decent but my Sunday roast did come out somewhat overcooked. Recommended more for the setting than the culinary experience.
D. D.
This place knows what they are about. They are quick at ordering and serving drinks during the bottomless brunch and are nice about letting you finish up outside after they need the table back. The food however was a disappointment, the starters were shared crisps and dip, burger was soggy and dessert was an unappealing shared bowl of eton mess. Bit of a shame really as we paid £48 each (including service)
C. E.
An entire toilet to myself? An entire toilet room, no no, not a cubicle an entire toilet room, in central London nonetheless. Completely exquisite 12/10 would go again, you could genuinely swing a cat in those rooms.
Also the food was fantastic, service wonderful and the atmosphere was great. Big kudos.
M. D.
Nice bar with decent food. Bit pricey and a bit loud for a bigger group but good atmosphere
J. K.
Only visited during lunch but a great experience all the same. Extensive menu with a good lunch offer set menu available. Quirky decor and food with s great selection of drinks. Portion sizes are unexpectedly big, you definitely won't go hungry!
S. H.
Really nice venue we had a staff party there. The staff were helpful and the drinks were really nice the only issue and this would not normally be an issue but it was a party were that the canapés we had were so large it was difficult to eat in that situation
R. D.
Nice staff and a decent menu. Went on a Saturday night and the place was pretty busy and had a nice level of chatter but the played the music a bit too loud, which did make it difficult to have a conversation. I would avoid on a Saturday night if you don't want to have to talk loudly over a lot of noise. Been here on a separate occasion for drinks. Would recommend for that.
D. R.
Decent enough pub food and okay prices. Nothing overly special about this place. The wait staff were polite and the meal was decent without being amazing. Crispy chicken sandwich was a little dry and the bun was a bit flaky but still tasted great.
A. M.
Nice pub for a quick drink. Pint £5.50. Friendly bar stuff. Can be a long wait at the bar - 20 minutes or so to be served in the evening or on the weekend. Good toilets and nice outdoor area with lights to stand in in the summer.
D. B.
Seems pleasant enough place for drinks on a Saturday night, however, having gone back there on Mon night, it was a bit disappointing experience - with the speed of the service as well as the knowledge of their drinks amongst bar staff... also, I'd NOT recommend their steak tartar, if you're a connoisseur of the 'real deal'!! It came covered in some sort of a spicy sauce, without it being mentioned on the menu!
L. P.
Lovely food. However the bottomless lunch is only worth doing if you can drink over £42, which is the price of the bottomless lunch, also not much of a choice of food and pudding was just a table spoon of chocolate moose
J. B.
Really good place, no idea why it has less than 4 stars minimum. Very fun atmosphere full of good people. The waiters/waitresses were all very attentive and generous with the boozy brunch on Saturday.
Great experience and can't wait to go back
A. L.
Food was 3* for me - I tried their veggie salad, it was OK and I'd say it's on the slightly pricier end (I added on the halloumi too). But they've got the 4* from me as they have very very friendly staff and they cater for mummies and babies (and the 4 buggies we had). We went mid-week around 2pm ish, so they weren't crazy busy and we could sit comfortably for 2 hours. Lots of business meetings happen here though, so if you do happen to bring screaming tots... you may just get a few eyeballs but that's not the restaurant's fault of course!
T. H.
Absolutely amazing bar. The cocktails are amazing. Although a bit expensive, the atmosphere is great. I came for an event in the back and the staff was really friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in London. One of the best spots here to visit! #Oktoberwurst
C. B.
It's an awkward bar. You can't order at the bar... or it seems like sometimes you can and other your can't (in the same night). Very confusing. They are not entirely sure if they want to run this place as a bar or restaurant and that makes the experience a bit weird. Otherwise the place is nice and staff is nice too. The brunches are good.
P. S.
Nice decor and vibe, but the service was terrible - waited ages at the bar for barmaid to finish while 2 others stood and polished glasses 10ft away - not impressed
E. C.
Underrated place, would definitely go back.
T. S.
My visit to Tanner & Co was under sub-par conditions as the kitchen was being refurbished.
As a result there was only a reduced menu available with few choices which led several of our group to order the 'bad boy' burger: this is an astonishingly calorie-packed concoction which starts with a serious burger, adds bacon and then adds a patty fashioned from their dense and flavorful macaroni cheese and of course is served with chips.
If you are ever tempted to order this then ensure that:
a) you've not already eaten anything that day
b) you're not going to eat anything else that day.
So, with the proviso that you may have to choose wisely from the menu if you're going for lunch and want to be able to function in the afternoon, the restaurant is worth a visit for its relaxed ambience and quirky furnishings which appear to be mostly salvaged old school gym equipment complete with climbing frames, ropes and pommel horses.
When I've recovered from the several thousand calorie burger I'll pay another visit to sample the full version of the menu.
F. V.
A great place to go to for a casual drink.
D. O.
Came for drinks and the bartender didn't seem to be paying attention while taking our order, but the drinks were nice (don't know how you can go wrong with virgin cocktails and tea) and the atmosphere is open and inviting. The place is huge so you shouldn't have to worry about not getting a table, and there's free table tennis if you feel you suddenly want to knock a few balls around.
J. J.
While the service was quick and friendly, the vegan falafel burger was definitely very ordinary and not worth £15! The falafel had no substance and the whole thing was devoid of taste. I had originally ordered the 'Vegan Pie of the Month', only to be told that the pastry wasn't vegan! Laughable.
V. R.
Had a Christmas party there. Nice place, food is not bad. The music is too loud though, was very difficult to speak to each other.
A. L.
Stumbled across Tanner last weekend whilst visiting London. What a great little gem! Absolutely loved the bottomless roast, food was amazing and the bubbles went down well too. We even got to meet the chef 😊 definitely worth another trip to London.
C. R.
Had an great evening here with friends last week.
Food, service and atmosphere were perfect. Try the rib of beef for 2 it's amazing!!
This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the area, worth a visit, will be coming back.
D. J. M. L.
Interesting restaurant and pub, with outdoor seating and areas for events. The menu is great with healthy option as the roasted squash salad. The food is ok, the place is a bit noisy but with awesome cocktails
E. Z.
Decent spot, I had vegan brunch and it was delicious. The sausage was oozing smoked paprika and the flavour was great, one of the best. Lovely decor and jolly vibes.
A. S.
I was here on a corporate lunch so we splashed out on lot of the menus with a bottle of St Emilion red wine and a load of beers and other drinks. The service was very slow and the food was gastro pub with fine dinning prices. It was also very quiet for a Thursday lunch time with only a few tables filled. Not sure I'd return again unless being taken out.

Generically trendy with nothing particularly interesting about it. The food was acceptably mediocre - beef cheek was tender but bland, burger was edible but dull, pork crackling was out of a plastic bag. Service was very pleasant, but slow and forgetful. Left feeling full, but disappointed by the wasted potential of the place.
P. P.
Nice atmosphere, visit was on a Sunday evening. Service was a little slow, we were offered food twice but we just wanted the drinks we ordered not someone else's meal. The drinks were then taken to someone else's table so there must have just been a mix up of the table numbers I assume.

The decor is incredibly invoking of the 50's and 60's without feeling old. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The portions were very reasonable and the food taste was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a nice cheerful and relaxed environment to have dinner.
R. H.
Superb venue in the heart of London. Really enjoyed the event I attended in this setting and the catered food was excellent! Would definitely recommend to anyone considering hosting a corporate or any other event.

We went here for the bottomless brunch, so my review specifically relates to this.
Decor - OK, staff - very friendly and helpful. No issues there.
Its just the food that is really hit and miss.
Starters were croissants and granola/yog pots with coffee and orange juice. Totally fine.
For the main event, I made a poor choice with the Chicken and Waffle. There's no way that was 'Buttermilk' fried chicken - it was more like a fried breaded escalope. The waffle was inedible and flavourless. Overcooked and incredibly dry - impossible to tackle with cutlery. Not even a good soaking of maple syrup helped. I suspect they had been pre-made and left to stand. The slaw was nice though!
Others in the group had a better time with the burgers, fries and the hash with poached egg and the cauliflower cheese burger.
The deserts were pointless shot glass sized versions of Angel Delight and Rice Pudding. The coffee 'Angel Delight' was fairly pappy and overly sweet. The rice pudding was crunchy. Sad times. Would have been so much happier with a chocolate truffle or mini brownie instead of baby food in a glass. Nearly everyone left the dessert.
The booze seemed to be decent enough - although staff could do with chilling the prosecco before bringing it to the table. Lukewarm prosecco is not the greatest. Some of our group enjoyed the cocktails as well.
I was going to say you'd be so much better off just ordering from the main menu and swerving the bottomless brunch - but if this is the standard of Tanner & Co's food then you would be better off not visiting at all.
The nice staff, decent service and lively atmos made it a plesant group outing, so I wasnt too gutted about the hit and miss food. Sometimes its about hanging out with friends in an friendly place rather than outstanding food.
A. S.
Excellent vibe on the weekends! (Largely carried by the bottomless brunchers). Menu is very small to eliminate too much choice stress - but sufficient. Sunday Roast very tasty. Value for money 3.5/5 - satisfaction 4/5 - Ambience 4.5/5 (Warm / easy)

A really eclectic restaurant equipped with old sports equipment and bar with a fantastic space that feels cozy and funky. You can belly up to the bar for some quality brews, or choose to sit in the restaurant. I really like this place for brunch with a small-medium sized group, since it has a nice relaxed vibe with friendly staff and you can lounge there quite comfily (Spoiler Alert: your bill comes in an old antique book, which is a cute touch). I've noticed it's gotten more expensive lately and sometimes has prices similar to the West End rather than Southwark--the food just isn't good enough to justify such high prices.
D. S.
What a gem of place. The best in Bermondsey street. Close to London Bridge but far enough from the tourist beat. Great food. Superb staff and best of all serves its own brewed beer. Why are you wasting time reading this. Get down there!
E. S.
3 starts just because of the good atmosphere and friendly staff. I had an eggs royal and it was a disaster: egg (just one) overcooked, the smoked salmon was cooked (??) and also the hollandaise on the top (???). I think they put it in the oven after... The cappuccino was just fine.
L. O.
Sami was a great server and very accommodating to our group of 9. We had bottomless brunch for £40 each and whilst the alcohol was bottomless, the food was not very impressive and did not justify a £40 bill.
B. P.
Tanner & Co is a great place with a lovely atmosphere. The food is good but overpriced for what and where it is. There is a large room at the back that you can rent for catered private functions. The alley outside is no beer garden, but it's a surprisingly nice place to sit.
A. L.
This place is always heaving so finally decided to check it out over Sunday brunch. It was busy but wasn't full and has an extensive menu but I focused only on the brunch options and I liked what I saw. To start we both ordered a strong flat white with soy. Which was strong! My friend ordered the ham hock spinach whole grain mustard and honey eggs benedict while I ordered the vegetarian option (which is served with no bread of English muffin) being the simply titled pumpkin hash and spinach eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached Burford Browns which when pierced oozed out gently flavouring the dish. We both polished off our brunch and ordered teas to wash it down. Service was prompt and friendly and even though we didn't make a booking they seated us in 2 people booths which was a nice touch! I'll be back to try their cocktails and other parts of the menu - I hear they do great scotch eggs, if only they made a veggie option...
M. M.
Had a great bottomless brunch here during the August bank holiday. As it was a bit of a slow day the staff gave us an extra round of drinks after our time was up.
C. C.
Delicious food and drinks. Not too cheap but quite a good deal
M. S.
Not an extensive menu, brunch options lacking. Nice drinks and decent service.
E. K.
Cocktails are fantastic, food delicious and service was amazing. I will definitely come back!
L. “. E.
Great, super, terrific. We visited this place 3 days running as their breakfast menu is very very nice. Something for everyone including vegetarians. Well cooked and super service
H. S.
I was very disappointed to see that although Tanner & Co try to give the illusion that they are environmentally friendly by using paper straws, it really doesn’t wash when you just see the bar staff dispose of all the bar cans and glass in domestic waste bins. In this day and age that is quite shameful and regressive for an organisation of this size. When I challenged them on this the bar staff just shrugged their shoulders. 🤷♂️
D. D.
Great service, great people, great drink... by god do they feed you the drink.. would highly recommend to people looking for a bottomless brunch that gets a bang for its buck.. and great food also
Hat tip to our server Dani Ricardo
P.
Plenty of space outside to sit down and have some pints or any drinks. Amazing atmosphere
C. J.
Amazing food and service! Bottomless brunch recommend and you can change your drink order too! Also staff so nice! Cannot wait to go back!
C. J.
Could not fault this place. Had the bottomless brunch and it was amazing, service was fantastic nothing was too much trouble and we constantly had drinks on the table. We’ll definitely be going again
a. b. (.
Very expensive, food is not all that. Waiter was nice.
J. O.
Really enjoyed our experience. Food great, good and friendly service and plenty of space in the restaurant.
Z. P.
Nice venue but cocktails have this odd premade feel to them that did not sit right.
C. B.
Nice vibes but as mentioned by other reviewers no brown sauce with sausage rolls. I mean come on!
R. d. A.
Attended a wedding reception in the event space in the back. Lovely staff, great food and all-in-all a fantastic space for a big party. Would definitely be back for the main bar/restaurant area on the back of that.
R. L.
Jamie the server was lovely for our bottomless brunch. Then Matt - the incredible bar man- gave fantastic service. We will be back, love this place
J. W.
Nice food and okay value bottomless brunch which includes 3 cocktails
T. M.
Decent place but one big problem ... You can’t serve sausage rolls if you don’t offer brown sauce
S. N.
Couldn't say enough good things about this place! The ambiance is great, there is a spacious patio area, the restaurant itself is spacious as well, the staff is AWESOME, the waiting time for food is under 15 minutes, and the service couldn't be better. The food is a little pricey but worth it for as good as the rest of the experience is.
D. S. H.
Really enjoyed my evening at Tanner & Co. Came with a large group of friends and we all had a great time. Bar snacks of Scotch Egg and Truffled Mac N Cheese balls were ace.
We'll be back to try the Bottomless Brunch soon!

Fine roast, good place overall
D. B.
I have eaten and drunk here many times now and can't understand the negative reviews. No where is perfect but this place offers great posh pub food, stellar service in a lovely atmosphere. Try it and make up your own mind.
V. V.
Decent place...they don't have some of the basic bar drinks like JD and instead offer substitutes which are mostly fine. Food is ok, bit pricey.
M. W.
The food here was amazing. Their dessert was to notch. The service was very slow and that's why only 4 stars.
J. R. W.
Visited here for bottomless brunch, the place is clean but the food and the service could do with a little work. It is also very crowded with tables and chairs which restrict access to the site and the disabled toilets sadly ...
J. A.
Visited the bar last night. The bar staff were great. Very professional and engaging. Great bar with a friendly atmosphere. Can get loud though as it has flat concrete ceilings.
C. S.
Tanner & Co is a pleasant enough bar and restaurant experience and the burger is certainly worth having if you find yourself there. Perhaps a fair comparison could be made between Tanner & Co and All Bar One - a more upmarket bar that offers better quality food but a slightly higher price tag to go with it, together with some interesting vintage decor.
A. S.
Decent food and a nice setup. Some staff were great, others not so.
S. C.
Lovely food and drink. Big courtyard with lots of tables. Not in the sun but perfect for a summer's day
M. U.
Lana, our waitress was amazing and she made our bottomless brunch so seamless as we were a large party! She was so attentive and so efficent! Highly recommend!
T. A.
Great place to visit. Outdoors area was incredibly cosy. Staff also friendly
E. A.
I've never been a fan of the decor and atmosphere and the bar was too close to the restaurant + was always cramped.
That being said the location was great and the scotch eggs were always great.
L. O.
Great place to get a beer!
J. M.
The service from Naomi was brilliant considering we had such a large group, but the food was a let down for such a high price (£15 for a dry beef burger!).
C. P.
Great boozy brunch. Food and drinks were tasty and staff were really friendly, attentive and accommodating, I was really impressed. It's a relaxed place too.
G. B.
Nice decor but food is way too overpriced. £15 for a chicken pie?!
No mash, no greens, no gravy, no salad, just an expensive pie on a plain white plate.
Slow service as well.
G. P.
A really nice pub, very stylish deco. Haven't eaten there yet but it's inviting. And coffee for £1? Fab!
c. b.
Easy atmosphere, good beer and food, perfect fit for Bermondsey St.
G. R.
Brunch here is amazing, unlimited prosecco for 2hrs and flowing expresso Martinis, had a stylish wrap that looked pretty sweet and tasted great. Definately get a decent amount of prosecco as well!
C. W.
Although it will never take the place in my heart that is reserved for Delfina (which used to occupy these premises), Tanner & Co is pretty good: good beer, tasty bar snacks, a fairly interesting menu and friendly staff.
I should point out,to those that may not know, that the review above refers to Simon the Tanner which is a different place all together.
N. B.
Great venue, convenient for trains and tube. Awesome food!
A. M.
A great, laid back spot for drinks, away from the bustle of borough market tourists. Service, while slow, is very pleasant and the drinks are nice every time.
M. C.
Great bar, bigger than it looks from the exterior, it goes back quite far with nice seating indoors, a venue space out the back, and an outdoor seating area. Nice selection of food and drinks. Really laid back and chilled.
J. P.
Lovely, lively ambience. Cool alleyway bit with dangling lights (technical term).
S. H.
A spacious modern pub where you can get good drinks. It's good for groups and dates. They have a good Tanner and Co beer of their own.
J. B.
Decent venue for corporate events. The catering is good and it's close to london bridge station.
A. C.
Love the warehouse-style venue. We came here for the office Christmas dinner, but didn’t find the food all that great. Confused, since all other reviews seem to rave about the food. Maybe it was just a blip.
A. G. M.
The place is quite expensive for what you get. The decoration is very good. If you go with quite big group is mandatory to ask for the sharing board for meat and cheese.
L. W.
Great food service and ambience
Quite loud so not great if you're looking for a quiet romantic evening.
Otherwise very lively atmosphere and helpful staff
R. A.
Good food, average service. The day we went the place seemed understaffed. The cheese and bacon burger was really good though.
G. P.
Had a great time at a business event, the venue is cool and the atmosphere is great!
K.
This use to be a local fav but last time we went, the food was disappointing and very overpriced, service was average and it just seemed very run down inside. Sad that this was the case and won’t be coming back anytime soon.
D. B.
Vibrant, clean, busy - week before Christmas - service was good and the food excellent. Atmosphere and surroundings great.
B. H. (.
Food is okay .. brunch is great value ... but the biggest win for us is that it is dog friendly ... the staff there are super friendly too .. give it a go especially if like me you can’t beat to be separated from your pooch x
G. E.
Very nice food and staff. It was a hot day this time and the sheltered outdoor area was ideal. All in all a very nice lunch.
A.
Nice atmosphere with decent (not cheap) prices. Offer is okay for the size of the joint but saying that - they have funny times when they actually serve food.
A. P.
My birthday was a nightmare- orders were forgotten multiple times and were confused with those on other tables. After I complained, we were invited back and we're treated v well. Hence the average score of 3.
M. W.
Great venue for a celebration!
We recently had a bottomless brunch here and the service was fantastic, along with the food and drinks.
M. H.
I went for the bottomless lunch with a group of friends recently and wasn't disappointed, I had the burger as the main and tried all the drinks and was very pleased with all of them, great service in a busy venue, I'll happily go back.
S. “. C. I. N. C. I.
No frills burgers although a bit pretending about reservations claim that you'll only get an hour's sitting without one, but the colour of your money speaks volumes 😂😂😟
K. P.
A really good place for a corporate do, the space is nice with a funky walkway and seating area. A bit echoey inside
A. H.
Great Sunday roast and the staff made my visit a real Sunday treat!
M. L.
A big pub/restaurant with all the usual staples and a bustling and loud vibe. Not exactly fine food, but perfectly good if you're after a pub meal in Bermondsey.
J. G.
I took the photo's here for a private Christmas party. Great venue and service
G. F.
Decent boozer with outside space for Friday night drinks... Can get very busy. never eaten here but the food looks good.
A. C.
Give it a miss. The decor is quite cool and funky but the food has been subpar every time I’ve been there. I just don’t get why they can’t improve.
D. B.
Would highly recommend, food was lovely and the bottomless brunch was very generous. Never left with an empty glass.
Ps Daniel Ricardo is a bloke
c. m.
Went there as a group of 8 and they sat us in a room at the back. The food was geeat and the service was excellent. We had 2 children with us and they couldnt do enough for them.
C. T.
A really trendy pub which i visited before an event at the Distilled headquarters nearby. They have an excellent selection of Whiskys, interesting maritime decor and a lively atmosphere
M. H.
I can't beliefjr it wda botjdless!
Told the waiter I was a Gemini. He only went and double flipped the bird. Come for the drinks, stay for the banter. Would come again
K. M.
Fantastic venue. Great staff, had a 30th bottomless brunch there. Great value for money and the team were very accommodating.
P. S.
Cool drinks! The bartender wasn't happy with our Mojito, so he threw it out and started again. Respect the attention to detail!
R. K.
I was really taken aback by the customer service here, handling two hungover people and suggesting what was best to cure our hangovers. Food was great and the restaurant décor is appealing
P. Y.
Great garden area on a warm evening. Drink selection is good. Food is quite British but steak was delicious.
T. R.
Nice enough place, service was good, menu is a little uninspired but good quality food. A little more choice required.
E. A.
Nice place to meet up for dinner. Close to the London Bridge station. Awesome service by waiters.
I thought the music was too loud though.
F. A.
Went for the bottomless brunch. Food was pretty good and the drink choices were impressive. Service was unbeatable!
K. L.
Tasty but expensive for what is, at its heart, gastropub food. Nice atmosphere and decor but doesn't stand out in the array of other pubs and restaurants on Bermondsey Street.
A. K. J. B.
Very nice interiors but food was a bit bland
S. S.
Tis a gastro pub in Bemondsey; i.e. it is clean, well lit and trendy. Great for an informal first date/gathering.
A. R.
Nice roast! Nice service.
S. V.
Great place to go for drinks and food, quick service, good value, friendly staff, didn't try the food but it looks great, oldish décor from 30s/40s I think.
J. W.
Good atmosphere but the gas was off with their beers and despite being £6 a pint were disappointingly flat!
T. C.
Decent food, drink and atmosphere. Slightly pricey, and often extremely understaffed at weekends and in the evening.
N. K.
We treat the Tanner as an extension of our office and often hold business meetings here. The staff and WiFi are both excellent for this reason.
S. I. R.
Lovely decoration, friendly staff and great food!
A. C.
Very pleasant, inviting space, great staff and attracts good customers. Can get very, very busy. Nice courtyard for the milder evenings
S. K.
Lovely place near London Bridge Station. Nice food. Good selection of beers. Highly recommend.
N. H.
Only had a beer but looked like some cracking Sunday roasts being served.
T. B. S.
Really good service from the staff.
A. &. S. D.
One of the few places in the area where you can get to the bar on a Friday without injury.
Not that it isn't busy... its just a BIG bar.
H. H.
All inclusive lunch is v good, esp if you are VERY hungry. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff
S. N.
Little hard to find, but the food and service was excellent!
T. D.
This is a really cool place on Bermondsey Street. Decent drinks selection, excellent vibes and a large outside area.
C. D.
Excellent sunday roasts but service a bit slow
a. b.
Good ambience and puka staff very efficient
J. T.
Good spot for bottomless brunch !
The only thing that could have made it better is the choice of alcohol; very limited selection.
K. M.
Great bar but the food is completely lacking. Enjoy a drink (or 3!) but head elsewhere for food.
M. N.
Saturday brunch was brilliant. Best waffles i have ever had.
L. H.
Decent but I won't go back for my Saturday afternoon bunch.
Food quality is so so, if you don't consider how much they charge.
R. F.
Decent food. Nice terrace and layout. Barman need to work on their attitude.
H. M.
Brilliant for brunch, gorgeous food and a choice of drinks, not just prosecco!
J. S.
Great food, packed with people, but quick and friendly service. Back room (for events) looks cool too.
m. c.
Great food. Cool decor. Amazing atmosphere. What else could you ask for.
T. D.
Good atmosphere, good food, good service. Always a safe bet, either for brunch or evening drinks!
A. F.
Well, what can I say. Of all the reviews I've been writing for our wedding this one is the one where it is most important. From beginning to end, Richard and Gratis were incredible. We had an incredibly fun, involved food tasting, and on the day everything went absolutely flawlessly. Richard is a complete professional, a gentleman and a lovely chap. I had the best day of my life and the Tanner team made it incredibly special in every way. Their attention to detail, their hospitality, the food, the service- everyone commented on how good it all way and I honestly cannot thank them enough.
C. T.
We hosted our wedding reception here. We wouldn't recommend it for a number of reasons, on the day some of our guests complained that the food was cold and although they gave us champagne to apologise it was still embarrassing. They also were difficult about entry times for our florist and made them wait to gain entry. When we had our tasting the events manager got up half way through and showed someone else around. The worst thing, they discarded our flowers that night which we planned on collecting as we spent a great deal of money on them. We also asked that the light bulbs and loo roll holders would be fixed and despite reassurance they hadn't been. Probably a good venue for a party but I wouldn't risk a wedding.
D. H.
Decent event space but in need of some TLC. Toilets in a poor state of repair.
O. M.
Love this place, warm vibe, great food, attentive trend staff... the only place ever seen eggy bread on the menu, it was a real treat
N. K.
Good food, drinks, prices and atmosphere. The service was excellent.
Z. R.
The new breakfast menu is great - just a little pricey for what you get but definitely a nice breakfast
P. S.
Fantastic Christmas meal with very good options from Turkey. Salmon en croutons particularly tasty
L. M.
The atmosphere is great but the barstaff are abit preoccupied with looking good whilst tending the bar and and the service ends up being slow
D. F.
Had the bottomless brunch. Food and drink were nice but the service was slow.
B. A.
It's a place where you can have a quiet time with your friends and family. Service is quick and the staff are friendly
D. G.
Informal with good food cooked well. Nothing a bother, attentive staff and reasonable prices in an interesting building.
N. M.
Really enjoyed the bottomless brunch.
J. G.
Great buzzy spot for weekend brunch especially bottomless booze. Eclectic decor themed like an old school gym.
M. R.
Great selection of cocktails and they've got their own locally brewed beer.
L. B.
We were due to get married and have our reception at Tanner Warehouse this year, but sadly have had to postpone due to COVID-19. The Tanner Warehouse team (especially Darren and Emily) have been incredibly helpful, kind and understanding during this time. We were able to change our wedding to another date next year, which really made the whole situation less stressful. Thank you so much!
M. T.
Mediocre drinks, mediocre service, too expensive for what it is
B. D.
Events space in a nice little area of London. Last time i was there was for a Nintendo Switch event.
M. H.
Quite loud. Surly service. Interesting menu. Well prsented tasty food. Not inexpensive.
N. B.
Lovely building with friendly staff who were very helpful for my friend's birthday... And delicious wine!
C. A.
Beautiful venue, the waitresses are lovely and not a afraid to crack a smile.
C. B.
Very slow service when busy. The waiter was all over the place and had to come back to ask for my order.
R. W.
Great bottomless brunch! A bit stingy on the bottomless boos but at 35 quid you can't really complain!
M. E. O.
Great bottomless brunch deal, definitely not stingy in the alcohol
P. T.
Nice place, we wen't there for a cider and meal. The price isn't low but the food is good and the place ist nice.
T. M.
Great place for a Sunday roast or after work drinks. Burger and fries are perfect
D. J.
Good brunch and nice outside seating, but often very full inside
S. S.
Nice vibe and great food and service
A. C.
Fab service from Salma!
S. N.
Brilliant service...the all you can drink brunch is sooo yummy!
O. B.
Great atmosphere and service, nice food and good selection of beer and wine
R. S.
Decent food bit overpriced. Scotch eggs are good. Avoid the salad.
J. G.
James the waiter was incredible. He dealt with everything we threw at him with consummate ease.
S. J.
Attended a wedding here and the food and beer selection were really good.
D. G.
Lovely service excellent roast beef.
D. C.
Overpriced brunch food in small portions. Good quality but not worth it.
I. H.
Grand decor in the front room and good beer, table tennis sometimes available out the back.
N. P.
So good, the goodest thing. I know good when I see it. And this is the goodest. Hilary is crook. Take news. I love Ivanka. # maga
O. J.
Fantastic spot for brunch, try the banana bread. Usually okay for walk ins if you haven't made a reservation.
T. F.
Best fish and chips. The mushy peas were well flavored.
S. P.
Wonderful atmosphere and great food. Staff are kind and helpful.
L. P.
We ordered few starters from the menu and the boards doesn't worth it. Too expensive for the size.
M. G.
Delicious and good service.

Really good food and excellent location
S. S.
Great place for drink or some food, firm favourite of mine, food is good, atmosphere is great.
G. B.

Not great for lunch but try their boozy brunch! Lovely.
T. R.
Own brewed beer is not as good the second time you try. Atmosphere is great and location too
M. A.
Quiet on a Saturday, overpriced, small portions and overcooked poached eggs. Was alright.
Y. B.
Amazing decor, food and staff. Love it! Definitely recommend it
