The name does not lie, this place is the best. The staff are very professional and nice and when it’s busy they serve food very quickly. It’s always clean and they are clearly very proud of their business and the food they serve. I usually get a falafel wrap here and it’s amazing. They serve it with home made chilli sauce, fresh veggies and great falafels. I’ve tried other wraps in the area and this is the one I’d always recommend.

For doner kebab lovers it is indeed the best. It has little fat and dripping oil. However, as giro spit based kebab it's still well below Lebanese shawarmas. The meat here is still minced unlike shawarmas where meat is layered, chunky but soft. It's still good but would say relatively good.

This is my favourite doner kebab shop. The portion sizes are very generous. Meat is always moist and full of flavour. Find it fascinating to watch the robotic doner cutting machines in action. Staff are a lovely friendly bunch. Always have smiles on their faces. Burgers and wraps excellent too. You will not be disappointed.

Staff are very welcoming and have a well oiled machine because service is extremely fast no matter how long the line is. (And it can be very long) The kebab is portioned up in handy containers which helps to keep things tidy and at prevents sogginess. The flavour and quality of the meat is quite decent without blowing you away and the portions could be a little larger considering the price. However I think these are the kind of compromises you can expect when a shop garners the sort of reputation this has. Quite good, but not head and shoulders above some other establishments in the area.

Been coming to this place for years and even though I don’t live close by and it’s a bit of a drive, it’s well worth it as it’s always top quality and you can’t go wrong Exceptional service by the team too as you don’t have to remind them of anything and they ensure that they give you all the salads and sauces without asking The prices are actually fairly reasonable, £7.50 I believe for a large donner kebab, which comes with 2 pitta breads, separate tub of chilli sauce and a seperate box of salad, not to mention that the portions are very generous too! Price + quality + generous portions + service = 10/10, no fault to think of whatsoever!

Whenever I get the chance I have to hit this place up, it’s not local to me but the food is worth the journey. Just as the name says it in fact is The Best Turkish Kebab. Fresh donner with a array of salad, the donner in particular tastes much better and of a better quality then usual local kebab place. Took my Mrs for the first time a couple weeks ago and she could not stop saying how good it was and when we can go back again, she’s very particular about donner and this hit the spot for her. Highly recommended as a wrap or in a pitta.

Anyone that has a true palette for Turkish food will tell you that the lamb Doner Kebab at Best Kebab is by far the best you can get in the UK. And the reason for this, is the recipe for the lamb Kebab that is made in-house, that has been around for decades. If you want the true taste of a lamb doner kebab this is the place to go, the queue outside says it all. The fact that the locals aren't deterred by the wait just to get their kebab fix, which they could easily get from the plethora of kebab houses in North/East London says a lot. The size of their doner kebab is the biggest in the uk & a testament to their popularity. I also recommend their chilli sauce, truest to the authentic Turkish chilli sauce you're going to get. THE BEST TURKISH KEBAB, they really are their namesake.

Maybe I'm being harsh but this place is too overrated. Food is ok however they are busy at peak times. ‘The Best Turkish Kebab’ is a small unassuming take- away café on Stoke Newington Road in Hackney that unquestionably is still living up to its names reputation. The long-standing family run shop sells kebabs and burgers and has no indoor seating. As I stood waiting for my turn in the queue, I watched an eager team of men prepare burgers and kebabs for their regular clientele at impeccable speed. As they expertly shaved thin slices of cooked lamb from rotating spits, my turn arrived and I ordered a typically traditional turkish filling lamb doner that came with very fresh salad ingredients, a home-made sauce and French fries inside a pocket of flat bread. The waiter told me the lamb deliberately didn’t come with any yoghurt sauce so that the taste of the meat would not be overpowered. It tasted tender and succulent. I devoured it with an enthusiasm that would gratify any chef. With burgers between £2.00-5.00 and doner kebabs at £5.50-£6.50; the price is more than decent. Although I won’t be dishing out the dirt on my cheap and greasy night out last weekend, I certainly will be spreading more than just a juicy piece of gossip on this little gem.

I tried the large lamb shish, it was succulent and cooked well. The salad looked tired though. I feel 3 stars is fair as it was slightly overpriced for an average kebab. This is one of the great Turkish Kebab places in UK. The consistency of meat trimming (as you would expect with machine), customer service, quality of chips and fresh salads are beyond my compliments. They remain so calm under pressure in such a tight space, there are 5 or 6 of them serving and maintaining their composure. Doner Kebab itself was well cut, had no dodgy smell or cheesy taste. Portion looked small for me at first but it actually will fill you up once you get to the final few pieces. Chips remained crunchy and crispy. Chilli sauce was quite unique, it was not crazy hot but had this delicious sweet taste to it, very subtle. I would highly recommend this place Kebab hotspot avoid the other's in Stoke Newington, there is a string of Kebab shops there. Also, try to order Meat & Chips with Salad and Chilli sauce, keeping it open. Nothing beats eating this fresh and open.

Best Kebab has a great reputation. They proudly display on the walls, all their awards and photos of celebrities that have visited. Popular with the local police and pub goers. Almost always very busy, especially at weekends and evenings, meaning you will likely have to wait a while to make your order. Their menu isn't the largest, most varied, nor the cheapest. Many years ago, they used to serve a unique chicken kebab which set them apart from other kebab shops, but nowadays it's just the same old chicken shish that you'll find everywhere else. I haven't stopped here for a couple of years since I became vegan so I can't comment much more than this. Other friends and family still use Best Kebab frequently, though I'm sure it's more out of habit and local convenience rather than standard of quality.

Probably the best takeaway doner wrap I’ve ever had. The doner was full of flavour and fresh but not greasy,which is amazing and it was well wrapped. The chilli sauce is also very delicious and has the perfect level of spicyness however, I was surprised they did not have garlic sauce, which is not a dealbreaker for me. Their chilli sauce is to die for, the food is fantastic, their customer service is exceptional, they're friendly, efficient and go out of their way to serve each customer to the best of their ability. I used to come here alot 15 years ago. Quiet recently I rediscovered it as I come to the area more regularly. The meat is shoulder meat only, hence the minimal to zero grease. Its not like other donner kebabs where you can taste the grease, this is pure meat. We the British public consider donner kebab to be synonymous with extremely fattening food, however this is a world apart, think of this as 'LOW FAT DONNER KEBAB', infact I probably wouldn't even call it donner kebab simply because of the lack of grease dripping down or accumulating at the bottom of pitta bread. Though it's not exactly cheap, £7 for a large (at time of writing this review). I must say, this is something out of the ordinary. I can understand why this kebab shop keeps winning Best Kebab Awards, as the closest competitor, Archway Kebab or Super Kebab don't really come as close.
