Hmmm so tasty! Amazing food! Two lovely well mannered young staff! Well spoken and lovely to chat to after a long days work. To be topped with an amazing brown stew chicken curry, with rice and peas! And a sticky jerk chicken with white rice ! Highly recommend will definitely be coming back!

OMG my tummy couldn't be happier. Incredibly tasty, fresh, divine. Can't decide what was tastier, the chicken, the plantain or the rice and peas. Delicious! Perfect portions and amazing service. Go, go, go!

Visited here a few times now and never disappointed!!! Takes me about 30-35 minutes to drive here but definitely worth it, Although they do get busy and sometimes you have to wait a little longer(started ordering whilst on my way to avoid the waiting time) the staff are always chatty and friendly. My usual order is the fried chicken in jerk sauce 😍 and pepper steak, although I will definitely be trying more of the menu overtime. I would say that they could give extra piece or 2 of plantain as I do think 1 isn’t enough for a meal. Other than that I really can’t fault them! Lovely restaurant, lovely staff and it’s always a good atmosphere…highly recommended

I never leave reviews, but I just had to take 5 minutes out to say how wonder the the food is. We have ordered three times, the first time they ran out of an item, a lovely lady called to suggest alternatives. The alternative was fantastic. The next time we ordered different foods to explore the menu. It tastes like home cooking, seasoned so well and full of flavour. The food tastes like its made with love. My personal fave are the pepper prawns, my partner doesn't eat prawns, so more for me haha. Well done to the box. This is the best Caribbean cuisine we have ever bought. Keep it up, we can't wait to try the Sunday dinner next, yep we have our next order planned out.

Picked up a lunch box from here. The ladies at the counter were really helpful. I ended up ordering a lunch box to share with my partner. It was a really good price for a meal that we couldn’t finish in one sitting! I think the meal was £9 or £13, so not bad for two people. The food was really good! I’m no expert on Caribbean food, so I won’t insult anyone on that. But the food tasted good, the fried chicken was cooked to perfection. The plantain was delicious and the rice was nice. The weakest part of the meal was the rice, but this was only because everything else was so good! By no measure was is bad. We’ll be visiting regularly 😍

All I can say is wow. At first when you enter the restaurant it seems small, but there is a outdoor seating area at the back, nice and clean, also a drinks bar. Food is full of flavour, presentation brilliant, portions are larger when you eat in. Staff are so nice an friendly, polite, constantly asking if you need anything or to top up your drinks. I don't normally buy caribbean takeaway because it doesn't taste that nice . But this food taste like home food . Definitely recommend 👌 Also congratulations as this is a family business. Well done.

My fave Caribbean restaurant eveeeerrrr! The food is absolutely to die for. Beautiful decor. Outside space is a wonderful add with a mini bar, absolutely amazing. Great value for money, portions are fab. Sweet, friendly staff. 5 star everytime.

First time trying Caribbean food and have to say it was very delicious. Lots of flavour and the amazing thing is that you get a lot for your money. Loved the simple sleek & clean deco. Would recommend for sure 👌

I wasn’t keen on the dish I got but I am fussy however none of my family liked theirs either. It seemed as though the meat was over-cooked or left for a very long time on a hot plate as it was quite hard and burnt in places. I did however like the plantain and the coleslaw. The portion sizes is a bit off in terms of meat to rice ratio I would say less meat more rice.

Food was delicious & staff were so friendly. I really recommend the jumbo combo! What more could you want curry goat, peppered steak and sprinkle cake for dessert😍 and their homemade fruit punch to top it all off. Can’t wait for the restaurant to reopen.

Food was ready to be picked up within 15 minutes of placing the order, staff is friendly, decent prices and good food - what more do you want? We'll definitely order from The Box again.

Tried a few local caribbean restaurants/takeaways and husband really fancied curry mutton so tried The Box for the first time, this is definitely the best we have had, I agree with a previous review which said you get a lot for your money.
