Reviews of The Cheese Bar
R. W.
Absolutely great, all of the cheese and their pairings were delicious. The gentleman serving in the bar as both waiter and bar tender was attentive and friendly.
Sorry my pictures aren't better but the apple butter jam in the middle, alone but especially with the cheese, was so nice.
M. F.
This is a Cheese lovers dream right here!
I bought the "Cheese Fiend" voucher for my sister's birthday, Mozarella Sticks, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Whole Baked Cheese and then Dessert.
I made a reservation and then unfortunately had to alter it- this was no issue and the service even before my visit had been outstanding.
Once at the restaurant the ambience is cozy and the staff are friendly and attentive to your needs.
And then there is the food!!
Whilst eating I was already planning my next visit, usually with novelty/unique dining experiences I am happy to visit once but I will definitely have to come back to try the fondue
A. T.
The Cheese Bar was good. My son loves cheese so he really wanted to go during half term. We ordered the cheddar sandwich, macaroni cheese, cheese chips and the mozzarella sticks. They were all delicious, the only slightly annoying thing is they don't have a toilet on site.

Here's something for both the Melted Gouda Lover to the Hard Cheese Taster to enjoy!
Cheesy Fries had perfect crisp and delicious cheesyness; Five Cheeses Macaroni was juicy and tasty; and the Cheese Puffs was something we had never experienced before.
Affordable and tasty drinks too.
Be mindful how much you order. These three dishes were plenty to satisfy two people. We left with fully expanded stomachs.
Z. C.
Food was very good, but portions sized are quite small for the price. Also as the name suggests, you sit at a bar height counter or table so it's not very access friendly. The hostess was lovely too
S. P.
Blown away!! Staff were amazing. My date was late so they chatted away and kept me company without being intrusive. They were clearly working hard so it was lovely that they had time to be attentive and good fun.
The food!!! Oh wow! I'm still dreaming about it. I had a cheese board (goat, Gouda and cheddar) all came with a perfectly paired accompaniment and crackers. I also ordered the cheese puffs which came with a mini Gouda fondue. I was in absolute heaven.
This place is the cats pyjamas!!! Do yourself a favour and visit
I've booked a day off work just to go back!
C. D.
Fantastic experience at the cheese bar! The food was a cheese fan's dream. While at first glance the portions may seem a bit on the small side, they turned out to leave us very full! The milkshakes are also definitely worth a try. All in all a great place to eat - stop by if you like cheese!

If you like cheese you will love this place.
Mozzarella sticks are excellent, 10/10. A bit sad that they only give you 3 for £7 but they are worth to try at least once.
Cheese puffs are alright. A bit underwhelming as I expected them to be more cheesy and less airy. However for their price they are good for a middle dish.
Lastly, fries with truffle and cheese. I don't need to say much about them, they are exactly what you expect and very tasty!
Overall the place is as cheesy as it gets. Worth visiting if you want something unique and instagramable for your stories.
R.
Absolutely insane this place. Every cheese lover's dream and probably some of the tastiest food I've ever had. The staff were lovely. Would highly recommend.
D. R.
Wasn't quite what I expected as I've been to a few cheese themed restaurants, This wasn't really a cheese bar as it was a Burger/Sandwich joint that had a lot of cheese on the products and sometimes too much... the burger was faaar to rich and the and the other bits we had lacked that special touch to make the memorable. The wine selection (considering the key food pairing) was lacklustre but the staff were friendly even if not entirely trained yet- 1 of our dishes was forgotten. Pop in only if you're near but wouldn't go out of my way to get there or shout about to my friends. Yes there was cheese but no wow factor or varieties you can't get elsewhere. 🤷🏻♂️
N. S.
Very nice bar! You might have to share your space next to someone else. But the service is great and the food tastes amazing
D. R.
We came on a discounted night, and I expected to fill up on what would otherwise be fanciful versions of fried and/or gastropub classics. The grilled cheese was good, the pork belly side was lovely, the honey sauce was excellent. I got the burger as an aside. Why not?
There's a lot that I could add about it... but it would be a disservice. It's probably not why you came here; you came for the fondue, the poutine, the truffle fries, the whatever. But if you're asking me for genuinely sophisticated analyses, and I SENSE THAT YOU ARE: you gotta give it some time... at least 20 minutes. Did that make any sense?
Just goo it.
W. D.
Nestled in the heart of camden in a beautiful Old building, you will find this little slice of heaven. The best fondue I've had, perfectly paired with a glass of white and a craft lager
K. S.
Words cannot describe the amazing goodness I ate in your bar. The most cheesiest food I have ever eaten. Every meal I ate was unbelievable. The cholesterol level in my body exceeded every expectation of any cheese. I can give you 5 or even 6 stars where possible.
K. A.
Simply stunning cheese joint. Trendy, chilled and jovial place. The fondue was my first ever, and it didn't dissapoint
Y. S.
The Cheese Bar was on our list for long time, and it was so worth the wait! Very friendly staff, great wine and loooots of cheese 😎 Will definitely come back again soon!
L. H.
Simply amazing.
Blue cheese toastie with beer chutney and bacon. Side of pickled onion and a honey and truffle small dip.
You won’t get a better toasted sandwich anywhere. First found these guys at the feastival festival. Now this in Camden right by the amy wine house statue.
Awesome service. Guy called max was knowledgable and so passionate about food. That’s what you want. Passion. Knowledge. Service. Experience. Friendliness.
Get involved people.
p.
I’ve heard a lot about this place, so I had to try it out. I ordered their 5-cheese macaroni. It wasn’t what I was expecting, not as dense and stretchy in terms of cheese, more on the creamy, soft side, but the taste was quite good. When the server brought it out, I thought it was a bit small for a main dish. However, it is extremely rich! I cannot imagine consuming a larger portion, it was just the right size in my opinion. The Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. It was great to sit outside, right in front of the Amy Winehouse statue. The service was very chill and friendly. Looking forward to coming back here for a grilled cheese sandwich perhaps.
N. D. G.
My partner, his dad and I went for a meal. There was a Spanish waiter who was lovely and really attentive. The food was amazing. We absolutely loved it. We will definitely come back.
B. G.
Quite possibly the best moz-sticks we’ve ever had, and we’ve had a few.
The fondue was amazing, plenty of everything to dip, and dessert was amazing (so amazing we forgot photos!)
C. M.
A place with a great vibe and the food is amazing!!! Needs to be booked in advance. While we were there so many people were turned away. I had the Mozzarella sticks while my partner had the Cheese puffs to start. We had the fondue for our main which was out of this world. It's the second time we've been here while visiting London and won't be our last. Fabulous job.
S. T.
We went there and ordered four cheeses fondue. It came with breads, pickled cucumbers and roasted potatoes. The taste was a little too salty so it would be better to order something else to eat together. The wine was okay. The seating inside was very quiet. The seating outside was good because it locates in the best view area to see overall market. The staffs were nice and friendly to recommend you everything.
C. S.
Only tried the fondue which was decent. The staff was nice and efficient. Pricing wise it was affordable (14£ pp) but unfortunately I did not like the bread (not soft enough and the taste was not great either). I also found the side order of bacon we paid extra for to be too dry. I should probably have tried the other mains.
l.
Was very lucky to snag a table for a late lunch on a Saturday with no reservations (definitely suggest reserving ahead!).
Amazing mozzarella sticks (who knew the English had their own version of mozz?!) & the cheddar + goats cheese toasties were delicious.
Only small criticism: the souffle / cheese puffs (in the starter section) were really well flavored and delicate, but unfortunately came out on the cold/luke warm side. I'm sure we could've asked to heat it up, but we were hungry :)
Service was friendly and fast.
A. T.
We love it here! So good to be back after missing out last year. Thanks for such a lovely dinner. This place is cheesetastic! Hope to be back soon ❤️🧀
P. J.
Brilliant place! I found this via the Beer for Breakfast YouTube channel who ate there and the food looked delicious. Now having eaten there I was not disappointed at all and want to go back the next time I'm in London. I highly recommend this place for good cheesy food, but try to get there when it's less busy as it was noisy when I went.
S. L.
Fun, outside the box restaurant. If you love cheese, you'll love it here.
L. C.
we visited on a Thursday night for one of their fondue events and it was oh so moreish! we started the set menu with a mixed platter of cold meats and cheeses. we then went for the Mayfield fondue, which came hot, in a huge portion, with tons of bread, potatoes and cornichons (all for just £23 per head). it was utterly delicious. we even managed to share a meringue with cream and cherries at the end. relaxed atmosphere around a communal table and very friendly service.
M. G.
Amazing place for cheese lovers. Good serving size. Fast service. Friendly staff. Decent ambience. A place where you can find raclette, fondue, macroni, grilled sandwich and small bites on a cheese platter all under one roof. Slightly expensive but the experience is worth the money spent. Lots of vegetarian options too. You can sit outside too if the weather is good. A must visit place in Camden market. Enjoy👌

Everybody talks about Italian cheese, French Cheese but, what about English Cheese?
Last night I had the opportunity to try some of the best cheeses made in England and I have to say that I was quite impressed
The Cheese Bar is an excellent place for the cheese fans seeking for cheese with an excellent taste and serves with some of the most taste dishes from modern English cuisine.
If you are looking for new adventures in gastronomy that include a London Burrata with hazelnuts, honey garlic or olive oil and sage pesto or perhaps you're looking for a Patty Melt, Bacon Ketchup (ask for extra bacon) with Yorkshire Beef Patty (28 days aged), smoke mozzarella and milk bread then you are about to experience a whole new world of cheese full of flavour and made in England.
I have to say that one of my best experiences dining here was the "Cropwell Bishop Stilton Sandwich". Once you try that sandwich that's it.
Also, the people working in the place make an effort to help you go through the menu and explain to you the ins and outs of what you can eat because they want you to have a great experience.
M. P.
Friendly staff, nice outdoor seating. Tasty cheese menu and a couple of drinks selections.
C. M.
The mozzarella sticks are absolutely amazing, and the sauce was just a perfect accompaniment! I highly recommend the mozzarella sticks, a must try...
I also have the goats cheese toasted sandwich, which has walnuts.... And a little pot of honey to dip in... Just amazing! Couldn't taste the rosemary butter but the sandwich was so good it didn't matter :)
Fondu fries had a very strong cheese flavour, so if that's not your thing just a heads up but still good...
Macaroni cheese was super yum and the portion size was good as you want to try a few things so you're able to do that! A great dining experience, would definitely go back :D
L. M.
Cheese. All of the wonderful cheese. I ordered their classic grilled cheese and it was fabulous. Strong cheddar, sharp onion, crunchy-buttery bread, and a lovely tart chili jam for dipping. I wish I had been hungry enough to try everything else on the menu. Service was fast and courteous, definitely stop here if you are in the mood for an indulgent lunch!
S. A.
Everything is so cheesy here. And I love it. Came here to celebrate anniversary with my girlfriend. The service was fantastic, excellent suggestions. Food arrived promptly. Pure melting deliciousness. Definitely recommend the fritter and cheese cake.
S. Z.
It's always always a pleasure to be at the Cheese bar! Friendly staff, amazing cheesy food and top location!
N. Y.
My daughter and I went to The Cheese Bar in Camden Market today and loved it all. We sat outside to people watch. Service was quick and friendly. The macaroni cheese was amazing as were the mozzarella sticks. The neopolitan sauce for dipping is delicious. The prices are reasonable for the quality.
A. K.
Loved this place. We had the cheese fondue and it was delicious. It is a great selection of cheeses and some other food as well. The atmosphere was good and our waiter was also very friendly and helpful.
D. R.
Great food, really enjoyed the burger. Service was quick and friendly. Reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.
Only downside is there is no toilet, but there is a public one around the corner.
T. Y.
It was very good but probably a bit short of being 'great', IMO. The grilled cheese was good... but is it the best, or among the best, I've ever had? No. The Halloumi was good... though not sure the honey dressing works. The lemon-ginger-rosemary cocktail was nice. All came to just a little over £20.
L. C.
We went for the bottomless cheese experience, it was fantastic! I really loved the opportunity to try so many different cheeses! - But some of the accompaniment (the one with jam or sauces) can be in a slightly bigger portion.
It would be great if there is a small plate with all cube size of certain category cheese to try! There were few other cheese I haven't try it because I was worried I couldn't finish it and my partner was full! Would definitely go back again! - But maybe ONLY if they replace their stools...
It was the hardest thing to ever do, trying to enjoy the cheese but struggling on the stool. Haha, it was so uncomfortable to sit in! I nearly fell over a few times too (probably my own problem because of my lack of balance).
THANK YOU FOR THE CHEESE #EATMOREBRITISHCHEESE
PS: the one star was knocked off because of the chair, not because of the food :)
A. H.
One of the few places at Camden Market with actual seating! Worth a visit if you're looking for a slightly fancier cheese experience. The Mac & Cheese was surprisingly filling - although the wide range of cheeses involved might have rendered it less flavourful than it could've been.
C. R.
As a cheese lover this is a heavenly place. The fondue is amazing and showcases some very nice British cheeses.
Great place to discover the many wonderful cheeses made in Britain.
Most importantly it is a nice place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
B. B.
This fancy-looking place is not only affordable but also A MUST GO in London. They offer a large menu of cheese-based dishes that constantly varies, to keep surprising the consumer, paired with an alcohol rich options’ list (both of wines and cocktails) and friendly and speedy service!
Placed right in the middle of the Camden market area, the Cheese Bar is synonym of a lactose shrine for those brave enough to surrender to their deepest gourmet urges.
J. H.
Set in the thick of Camden Market's food area, it is a small restaurant with limited seating. I would recommend making a reservation firstly. The staff were attentive and helpful in explaining the simple menu. Our waiter was frank in the portion size of the smoked sausage fondue (not worth it) so we avoided that.
Truffle chips are a definite must as well as the mozzarella sticks; eat them hot! I wasn't too keen on the four cheese rotelle pasta but the rollright cauliflower was decent. We had asked for the food to all arrive at once so that may have caused an extension in the arrival of our dishes.
Overall the service was good and it seems to change up the menu gradually. I wouldn't say it is worth a re-visit until a few months later.
L. B.
Apologies for the pics. Didn't have enough time to take sexy ones as I wanted to try these bad boys ASAP.
1. The queue. Yes, we had to wait for some time to be seated but it wasn't long. The reason being is because there is only limited number of seats inside and the host was probably trying to make the chef's life easier by sending the orders through one by one rather than getting the place packed and then sending them all at once.
2. The staff. The guy who was serving us was very informative. He explained that there is a sequence. So basically dishes made from soft cheese will come first and the ones made from something like Stilton will be the last ones. I also loved the fact that they don't have to wear uniform and had their individual look.
3. The food. Ah... Would definitely go there again. The sandwiches were great! I could be having them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But then I would probably end up living there... Mozzarella sticks were cooked to perfection. The only thing that I thought was missing was a pint of draft beer. Because the bar has launched recently I don't think they managed to get their license sorted. But as soon as the tap is going to be full, I'll be back.
4. Price. Two people can have a starter to share, a main course and a drink each for under £30.
P.S. People who will make comments like: It's too cheesy don't deserve to go there. Mate, you came to the cheese bar, enjoy!
C. B.
The place is really really nice. Heard about it from a facebook video and I stopped by when I was walking in Camden Town. If you are in that are and looking for a place to eat, you should give it a chance. There are few options you can choose from and the food is really cheesy and tasty. The staff is great too!
R. A.
One of the best places in the whole of London to eat.The atmosphere is great, good, unique food, excellent service and excellent location.
This is a must eat place if you are ever in London or in Camden.
A. P.
Cheese galore! If you are a cheese lover, you'll love this place.
We picked a few items on the regular menu from the plates section, and my gosh! The Halloumi Saganaki was to die for and now I cook all my Halloumi like this!
The Five Cheese Macaroni was a bit too rich for me especially as that was my last plate after having so much. Regretted that, but maybe if that was my first plate it would've been different, who knows, I'll have to go back and try!
R. T.
This is a must if you are visiting London!it is hand down the best place to have a wonderful meal that is all cheese. The staff is amazing. Just a really great place to finish a day at the market
T. R.
I have been here twice now and really enjoyed it both times. The food is quite expensive for what it is and the service can be a little slow but on the whole I really like it there.
I've tried:
Sausage fondu - delicious
Poutine - the first time I had it I wasn't impressed but the second time it was very nice
Mozzarella sticks - so good
Cheddar grilled cheese - I wasn't a massive fan of this but this is a personal taste thing.
Chihuahua grilled cheese - very nice
The only thing I would say is that The Tunworth is delicious but don't get it unless there is five of you as it is so rich you'll never eat it. Or - get it with less and take it home with you.
The plates are small but you can't really eat that much as the food is really rich. I wish they had a few non cheese sides so you can refresh your palate as otherwise after a while it all gets a bit much.
I love the decor in there - it's a nice atmosphere and a good place to grab dinner.
W. P.
Had a great time at this place. Was a little worried about not having a booking but there was ample space on a Tuesday late afternoon and managed to snag a table outside.
Service was very friendly and knowledgeable and the cheese courses served were all delicious. Try the blue cheese ice cream, sounds weird but tastes great!
G. T.
Lovely restaurant, good quality food. Nice environment, pricing was ok. Would definitely return for another Lunch.
M. P.
➕Delicious food.
Bill u can see on the pic.
➖Rocklette were overcooked, but still tasty!!
➖Portions are not huge, ➕but Its fine, you will be full anyway!!
➖Waiter didn't let us know, that service pans are hot. My partner burnt his hand.
➕Highly recommend to visit!!
C. M.
Had a great evening here on Monday. The bottomless raclettes are to die for, great on both ham and vegetarian options. Superb service from both Strega and Max. We'll definitely be back to try out the full menu.
K. P.
Just go. Best part of my week in London. The cheese is amazing. The pairings are amazing. The staff are so friendly. Currently in a cheese coma and so happy....
F. G.
I was positively surprised by the variety and quality of the cheese based servings they produce. The toasted sandwich my favourite.
T. H.
Extremely friendly staff, serving beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful cheesy goodness.
T.
If you are after some melted toasted goodness in Camden Market this is the place although I personally found it too much cheese for one meal.
When you first walk in you notice their modern interiors and posh marble top bar. The staff are very friendly.
My companion and I ordered The Baked Bix which was a triple cheese with rustic flat bread and chutney. We also ordered the Keens Cheddar Oglesfield. They arrived sizzling hot and the cheese was melting and gooey.
We then ordered the four cheese rotelle which is a four cheese macaroni that had Lincolnshire and Lancashire cheese with a blackened crust of Old Winchester. It was flavoursome and a real recipe for nostalgia!
By this point, I was certain I had surpassed my daily allowance for saturated fats but nonetheless
we shared The Benleigh Blue, honey and pear ice cream sundae for dessert. It contained ewes’ mild cheese; a rather bizzare yet delicious combination.
Overall the food is appetising. Dishes are around £7-9 and toasties £6-7. It isn’t cheap but they do get their produce from places like Peckham’s Gringa Dairy and La Latteria in Acton, so you can’t really be too ‘cheesed’ off at their prices!
T. M.
Had the cheese fondu voucher as a gift. Great present. Added some crispy pork and it was more than enough for two for lunch. Lovely staff, venue and surroundings.
H. C.
My friend has always wanted to go here and we did it. It smelt very cheesy and it was very satisfying , but I didn’t think it was AS good as everyone says. But i did like the Camembert , called waterloo. That was my favourite.
A. V.
It's a bar that serves cheese. You really can't fault it. I had chicken poutine which was absolutely delicious and the right size portion. I also enjoyed a Jensen gin - very nice too!
Located in the heart of the stables in Camden and ever so lovely.
Staff a delight too.
W. v. O.
When reading the menu it's quite vague what you're ordering. The poutine is a definite recommend with the fries and gravy! (See images) the cheese chips are a must order side! Absolutely amazing!
I. O.
Amazing food and nice drinks. We had the tartiflette, the mac'n'cheese and Bloody Mary. Very high quality food, awesome cheese variety. We will definitely come back next time we are in London :)
I. W.
A magical find situated in camden market street food, everything from a basic cheese sandwich to fondue sharers, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks and lots messy food to tickle your taste buds.
Should be more places like this, a must for cheese lovers where everything is just cheesy.
F. D. P.
Nice place!
The food is very good and convenient. Few gluten free options.
Only little flaw, they were understaffed (I guess) therefore the service was a bit slow. Otherwise, great restaurant!
C. Y.
I’ve been craving for cheese in this cold season for ages but got disappointed after tried a couple of places. Now I find a perfect place here to get the Brie toast exactly as I wanted! Staff are super nice and friendly too! Will definitely come back to try shared plates!
M. F. S. E.
It's just heaven!
Ordered the cheese profiteroles to start, then raclette for two and some baked cheese with sourdough bread (my favourite). Everything was absolutely delicious and the guys on the floor were super friendly too.
P. R.
Amazing concept and, simply put, great food. The atmosphere is sophisticated but friendly. Awesome that it serves British cheese exclusively.
J. S.
You need to try their fondue! I didn’t know a non-swiss fondue could taste so good. Best dish for eating out with friends al-fresco under current Covid regulations
J. S.
Very unique experience, seating principally around a bar which is different to anything I've experienced but it's pleasant. Food is to die for if you're a cheese lover, and the price is reasonable for London.
Y. U.
Located in vibrant Camden, this is a good place for a Friday night out. Good food (especially the fondue), and cozy atmosphere.
B. G.
Huge selection of cheeses on offer. Independent providers and awesomely flavoured variations. There is something here for every cheese lover. Situated at the top end of Camden Market beside the Amy Whitehouse statue and about a 5 minute walk from Camden Town Tube station. It’s a little expensive - but it’s worth it if like me you’re a cheese lover!
T. C.
I being a cheese lover would say it was a lovely experience they go above and beyond and even made an extra special effort of my birthday it's so worth its value deffo would go back again without a shadow of a doubt 😁👌🧀🧀🧀🙌😜😊✔️
S. W.
Fantastic place for lunch in the hustle and bustle of Camden Market. We enjoyed our cheese toasties and the service was excellent!
B.
Excellent!
I took the blue cheese sandwich and it was delicious. It comes with bacon, and I think figue jam. The sauce is truffle honey.
The sandwich was delicious, melting, generous and very tasty. Surprisingly sweet for a blue cheese and amazing.
The restaurant looks very nice and the staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable about British cheeses.
I highly recommende this place and will come back to try out the rest of the menu.
S. K.
Yummy! The cheddar cheese which is used in the cheese sandwich is prefect! Mature, creamy and savory, perfectly grilled, crunchy from outside and melting inside. The pickles and tomato sauce beside are fitting amazing.
Thx for the greatest grilled cheese sandwich I ever had!
Just take a cheese sandwich to go and eat it outside for the whole camden market experience and not having to deal with the fancy staff.
Y.
Great place for a heart attack. Friendly service but the food is meh. To be honest any of these dishes can be made at home. I didn’t find anything outstanding but the cheese mozzarella sticks. They be cheesy. For those of you are lactose intolerant and willing to take a risk to blow fire down south, this place is for you.
S. M.
I came here for Dinner on Sunday night, we didn’t have a reservation but still managed to get in which was good! We had a few starters so we could try the menu out and I have found cheesy heaven!!! Such good food and amazing service. We had a lovely guy who was also the host serve us, he was very knowledgeable and helped us. They had run out of a few things but other than that it was an amazing meal 🧀
J. M. L.
This is an absolute must visit place. Gorgeous plates full of cheese of all kinds, really friendly staff, and cozy place both inside and outside. The chicken poutine is beautiful!
C. H.
Found this restaurant a year ago on Instagram and went finally there today. It was amazing. Such a good grilled cheese sandwich, delicious mac n cheese and the ultimate mozzarella sticks. Definitely a MUST visit in London.
E. C.
Lovely place and people! The cheeses they suggested for our cheese board and the raclette were amazing!
M. R.
Always a great experience and service at the cheese bar!
B. F. B.
First time trying “la fondue” and did not regret it!!!! So delicious and yet very affordable! The restaurant itself is very nice and the staff is so friendly!!! Especially The French guy who served us - Max! He made our experience 10 times more enjoyable! We’ll be back!
K. A.
My first time here. The staff were friendly and the food was good. Except it took them more than 30 mins to cook/bring the food... All the food are with cheese (its a cheese bar!) and the portion of the food might look small but it was very filling. The staff told me to book a table next time because during lunch time it is very busy. Overall, everything except the waiting time for my food was good. Will come again.
A. B.
The food is ok. There isn’t much cheese in the burger, a lot of things on the menu wasn’t available. The atmosphere of the place is quite nice.
T. Y. C.
Got to sit outside on a beautiful day!
London burrata is so fresh and amazing- hazelnut gives a bit of nutty and different pesto flavor to it. We also had grilled cheese sandwich with goat cheese which was great as well!!!
W. Y.
Great fondue pot sharer. Lots of super interesting tastes and flavours. Pretty good prices too for Camden. Book ahead if you’re a biggish group.
A. P.
The perfect place for cheese lovers. Very warm and welcoming service. They blue cheese raclette was simply amazing.
L. M.
Very small and can be expensive to the quantity you get. However, went for a friends birthday and we had great fun with the cheese fondant and dipper everything in. Small measures on alcohol.
A. C.
I've never bothered to leave a review for anything but this place is so good I just had to! Amazing food and lovely staff.
D. R.
If your looking for bland and under flavoured food, this is not the place to go. With strong flavours and amazing atmosphere this is a treat to go for. When you walk in the atmosphere is open seating with the feel of a Swiss pub. There's no where to have a romantic fate but this feels like the place you go with friends or can go on your own. I had the stilton cheese, bacon and pear chutney toastie with a side of cheesy truffle toastie. The flavour is amazing that pack a punch. You can taste the stilton is perfectly paired with the pair chutney. Unfortunately the bacon is not a strong flavour here. The truffle is a good taste with cheese curds and sprinkled cheese with nice home cooked chips. I will definitely be going again to try the cheese cake and poutine.

Oh my goodness, this place was amazing! Friendly, helpful, and personable staff, as well as savoury, delicious, and unforgettable food, make for a fantastic dining experience all around.
L. P.
Excellent food venue, specialising, you guessed it in all sorts of cheese dishes including fondue. Wonderful milkshakes, very good staff. What's not to like?
G. S.
A must go for the cheese lovers. Amazing food for a good price.
S. N.
Great cheese bar! The small plates were fantastic and they have the best halloumi and mozzarella sticks I've ever had. The large plates seem small but in reality, they are sooooo filling. Great vibe in the restaurant too. Loved it.
A. V.
Cheese lovers, this is your place. I loved every one of the recipes , couldn’t decide what to take. Raclette was delicious and the white wine just perfect with it.
J. O.
Staff are absolutely lovely, made my birthday even though my other plans didnt go perfectly. Can't wait to go back for Christmas
M. M.
My most favourite place on earth! Amazing food, not too much either - in my first visit I was worried might be too much cheese, that is not possible Haha. Very informal seating and not massively comfortable, but everything else makes up for it.
N. L.
I absolutely loved my visit to The Cheese Bar. I highly recommend the grilled cheese.
A. R.
Visited today and had the wonderfully tasty Truffle Baron burger. Friendly owners and excellent service.Saw some of the other menu items being served around us and must say they all looked amazing! Cheese lovers heaven!!
N. W.
Fondue night on Thursdays - was epic. The pictures should speak for themselves. I love cheese, fun staff and good wine.
J. T.
Virtual cheese and wine tasting was excellent. 5 cheeses and paired wines sent out the day before, all unusual and well matched. Sam was very knowledgeable. Excellent and friendly customer service. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend.
A. K.
A small amount of seating available outside due to covid19. You may want to reserve but failing you get space then there are takeaway options. It feels like real dining in Camden market and there is table service. They disinfect regularly. Nice selection of cheesy items and a reasonable price too.
s. s.
This place is great with the unlimited cheese offer! The cheese, ham and sides are beautiful! And the atmosphere with the bar around dining makes it all very informal and relaxed. Just think it's a little expensive for the price of a bit of sourdough and a bottle of non alcoholic beer which is nearly the same as it's alcoholic counterpart :/ but that won't stop us from retuning! Mmhhh cheese
C.
Best place for cheeselover! Really good cheese! Prices were okay, nice staff, fast service :)
P. V.
Great food and while not really set up for people in wheel chairs the staff went over and above to be as accommodating as possible.
M. C.
Excellent selection of cheese, great service with knowledgeable staff on hand to help with your cheese selections. You can easily spend a lot here.
D. S.
Cheesy. Mozzarella sticks were superb however a full cheese meal is pretty heavy going. Great for a small dish and perhaps a beer
V.
Really nice place in the Candem Town Market. It is a good place for taking a break during your visit there. The grilled sandwiches are delicious.
G. S.
Outta this world cheesy foods. Staff super nice and friendly! Great, relaxed vibes and great wines 👍
V. L.
Went for the bottomless raclette and it was fantastic. The staff were lovely and ready to help us. They were quick to replenish our dish when we were done, but also gave you space if you needed a bit of a breather! Would definitely recommend and go again!
A. Z.
We didn’t have a reservation (definitely recommend a reservation because they seem pretty popular) but they were super friendly and able to accommodate us. And wow, was it delicious! Had the Stilton grilled cheese and every bite was divine. Cocktail was delicious and of generous size too. And the service was so quick and friendly. Next time I’m in London I will absolutely come back!
B.
Five star service through out, food was perfect couldn't have asked for anything more, highly recommended will definitely be returning thank you
D. O.
We were in the terrace on a Friday evening (in October) and it was very comfortable.
G. D.
Food was delicious and the service was great. Can't wait to visit again
T. B.
Fantastic food, excellent staff, resonably priced, great atmosphere
A. K.
Came here as my friend insisted they serve "the best cheese puff she's ever had" - and can't say she's wrong! It was light and fluffy and really lovely. If you visit this place please do order it! We ordered some bread and cheese which was paired with red wine for those drinking. It actually looks very high end for a place in the middle of Camden Market (not very large, maybe 20-30 seats at most) but a pleasant place to visit.
S. P.
Delicious. Fantastic grilled cheese and mac and cheese. I do not reccomend the camembert and toast however but that's just me.
J. B.
Great food and the staff and service excellent. Can't wait to go back!
R. M.
Really enjoyed our meal at The Cheese Bar in Camden last night. The food was excellent - the fondue was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a simple concept but very well done. And the price was more than reasonable for London!
R. S.
I was looking forward visit this place during months and to be honest it was a bit disappointing. It took ages to get attended. They also forgot my drink and I have to ask for it several times And the food was just ok. Not as good as I was expecting.
J. W.
Amazing! Just great food, friendly helpful staff in a nice atmosphere. Good range of dishes all based on British cheeses at a decent price.
Nice choice of beers to match the food at a high (but normal for London) price.
If you love cheese this place is awesome. If you don't then it probably isn't for you.
B. C.
A great place to enjoy cheese if you're a cheese lover or you are going to become one! This place has lots of varieties of different cheeses, and great drinks! Staff is very friendly and always helpful to explain about the cheeses.Great idea also to use a moving track to get the cheese plates around like in these Sushi-Bars. Each plates has its own side dish to it. so you can get cheese with chocolate , jam, a brownie, and so on... absolutely wicked!
A. B.
Great cheeses, funky venue, well worth a visit!
M. A.
Have to be careful with the fondue...might walk away hating cheese! But in all seriousness, its a good place for cheese lovers
F. P.
My partner said it was the best cheese toastie she's ever had.
R. G.
Having lunch here now. Menu is a bit limited if you don’t like cheese, but for cheese lovers it’s a must. Great selection of cheeses and dishes. Staff were lovely. Warned us not to order too much as the dishes are quite large and they were right. We ordered two starters between two of us and we are full. We sat at the bar which was fun as you could see what was going on. Will definitely come again.
j. j.
delicious, cheese lovers paradise that’s for sure, we had the fondue, and it was a bit naughty, lovely location in the camden market, really nice and friendly staff, could be a smidge cheaper, but a really nice dining experience. Really recommend it, great selection of cheeses and a fun experience
A. R.
The quality and range of cheeses on offer is amazing. Its menu is full of classic dishes that are transformed by a distinct cheese selection. I've never eaten mozzarella sticks or mac and cheese with so much flavour. This place is cheese heaven and I can't wait to go back
A. v. B.
Lovely place to eat!! If you like cheese this is your restaurant! We tried a number of dishes with different cheeses and each one was absolutely delicious. Great for a winter evening when you're looking for something filling with nice wine. You sit around a bar with the staff on the inside giving you a nice opportunity to chat a bit and learn more about the cheeses as well.
J. D.
Guaranteed to satisfy all cheese fiends out there 👍
C. B.
Great place, and a lot of variety in the menu👌🏻 The grilled cheese was *very* greasy - in a good way - and the cheesecake was delicious but the slice was way too thin 🤤😔
Would recommend!
E. S.
Food is amazing. Worth trying at least once in a visit to London
T. C.
Came here for the Bottomless Racclette. The food was wonderful and the staff lovely. Couldn't have enjoyed it more.
S.
Must eat place if you’re in Camden and LOVE cheese! ❤️❤️
R. R.
Solid grilled cheese sandwiches. Also ordered the truffle chips and it was great.
A. M.
Went to The Cheese Bar a few weeks ago with two friends and we had an amazing experience! There was a bit of a wait but the hostess took our number and text when our table was ready so we went for a drink. Once we got in Christian talked us through the menu, recommended some dishes to us and explained that they come out according to the strength of the cheese.
They were only open to the public a week at that point but they were a well oiled machine and were chatting and having a laugh with all the customers.
Food was great, staff were great and its reasonably priced too so really what more could you want?
L. B.
I have been to the cheese bar in Camden twice. First time in the evening and it was lively but cosy. Second time with a friend who bought her toddler and the staff were so accommodating and welcoming. Food was excellent both times. Great little bar!
R. D.
I am a big cheese fan, and was really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately it did not meet myself or my friends expectations. The cheese was either not in enough quantity or was poor quality. The most disappointing aspect of the meal were the truffle/cheese chips (I cant remember their name im afraid) but they were appalling. The rest of the food was decisively average. The staff were very friendly however and the wine was okay. The reason this gets 3* rather than 2* is the speed of service and the staff. It really hurts writing this as i really love cheese and would have loved to be writing a glowing review, alas not.
S. K.
The smell of cheese here is infectious and really really great but if that's not your thing then obviously, stay away. It's a small but beautiful space with a list of cheeses on the board, like a pub, and a small but varied menu with a good list of cocktails, a couple of beers (only in 2/3 pints unfortunately) and a decent wine list. We ordered the fondue, which was good value at £28 for two - but the meatballs were just cut up pieces of sausage which wasn't worth £4 and that was a bit annoying. Service is good, fondue is decadent and really great and I want to go back.
m. c.
Grate idea for a place to have few drinks. We visited with a baby as it was just quick bite for us and there was no high chair available. But highly recommended for a drinking session with amazing cheese snacks. Easy to find, friendly atmosphere .
J. M.
Went for lunch here yesterday and everything was perfect. We had a reservation which is a good idea as this place is not that large. The staff were all friendly and helpful suggesting ideas. We had a starter and a plate each which we shared and finished off with a portion of goats cheese ice cream. If you are in Camden give it a go you won’t be disappointed!
R. H.
Great service and great cheese based foods. Ioved the toasted stilton sandwich
T. C.
The Cheese Bar clearly values quality - from the ingredients they use to the design of the restaurant itself, they clearly take pride in what they do.
Food is delicious, with fresh, locally-sourced and seasonal produce speaking for itself. The dishes are inventive, each showcasing different British farmhouse cheeses that aren’t as well known as the mass-produced stuff we’re used to, but are so much better in every way!
Staff are friendly and more than happy to help you navigate the menu if you don’t know your goats from your blues. Not to miss for cheese lovers!
Y. B.
Yummy cheese sandwiches and mozzarella sticks. Service is nice and has access to bathroom key!
A. L.
Great place! Went to one of their tasting events the other night and it was brilliant! Tried so many awesome British cheeses I'd never even heard of before. Already signed up for tickets for their next event. Nice small wine list that made an effort to include some orange wines too (personal favourite).
Not usually a fan of the food around Camden but this is s cheesey gem. Will come back with my stretchy pants on.
E. C.
Cheese, cheese and more cheese. Good selection of cheese!
Fondue is excellent although in general the portions aren't huge. Definitely a good place for groups as it's quite a buzzy atmosphere and the open plan feel with large sharing tables makes for a sociable night out.
Would like to see a bit more variation in the menu and perhaps some more non cheese options.
Only joking!
T. C.
FAB! Amazing food, wonderful service and team members! Great music! Nice lively setting, a true gem and breath of fresh air in Camden!
It is expensive, and the portions are small, but definitely worth it for a lovely treat if you're feeling peckish. Food quality is fantastic as are the ingredients.
H. T.
One stop place for all cheese lovers.
Tried the cheese puffs, mozzarella sticks for sides
And goat cheese toastie for mains
So so yummy
They had a unique sweet dip along with the toastie which made the toastie even better
D. H.
Absolutely delicious food, saw this restaurant on Facebook a while back and always wanted to try it, we weren't disappointed. Atmosphere is really good, staff friendly and attentive and the service was great as well.
It's a slightly more casual dining experience, perfect for a nice lunch or dinner with friends or just a nice evening out with your partner. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
A. H.
If your a cheese lover like me, this place is perfect. Pricey but work every melted cheese. Great setting, and in the heart of Camden. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not a big place but a small party would fit.x
A. H.
We went there for an anniversary dinner, and were really excited about the place. Feels comforteable, even though an open place ( basically you sit just across or next to complete strangers ). Our server was Byron, and the actual 5 star we are giving because of him. Attentive, polite, just the kind of person you'd want to have in front of you. Was checking with the kitchen for our needs, helpful, quick. Big ups, this place is really amazing.
R. H.
Amazing food and super nice staff. Place is a bit crowded though
C. P.
Nice venue, friendly staff and excellent cheese . The blue cheese raclette is pretty special
M. V.
Do. Not. Miss. Everything we had was top-notch delicious. Many cheesey things - all wondeful
G. M.
Definitely worth a visit.
Myself and two friends visited The Cheese Bar on Thursday 30th March 2017 and we absolutely loved it! We had to wait around 20 minutes for a table but that was fine because the girls at the door took our number and we went for a drink and then got a text when the table was ready. We were seated right at the bar, which was great. Christian, who works behind the bar was such a gem and recommended lots of sharing dishes for us to try- I loved them all! We paid around £35 each but that included a bottle of fizz and the blue cheese ice-cream (SO GOOOOD). I would really recommend this place to cheese lovers! I will definitely be back! P.S. I don't have any pictures as I ate everything before I had the chance to take any. :)
G. C.
Fantastic!! Sonny the manager makes that place... he’s a great host. The food was soooooo good, the portions small enough you can order a few dishes each to try everything.
3 of us managed to try pretty much the whole
Menu!... including goats cheese ice cream! 100% recommend and 100000% will be returning!
A.
This place is great. We loved the cheesy puffs, the baked cheese with sourdough (we also got some broccoli to dip in it), followed by the cheese board. Super tasty if you’re a cheese fan. The only frustration I have is that they don’t have a toilet - you get sent out of the restaurant to the market ones, which seems weird.
L.
The venue was great and the staff were friendly. My feedback was the quantity of food you get for the value of money. I spent £28 on a fondue to share and all we got was the cheese sauce and some bread. We had to pay a lot extra for items to dip in. If you're after nibbles and drinks with friends this is perfect.
P. C.
Great food and the the staff is super nice!
B. D.
We arrived shortly before midday on a chilly Friday but weren’t allowed to enter until the second it turned 12.
We’d booked, which turned out to be essential for lunch as the restaurant became full very quickly. Seating is either at the bar or sharing a long table, all on fairly high stools.
I’d recommend getting a grilled cheese sandwich and maybe sharing one of the plates between two of you. It’s difficult to predict how big sides or the plates will be but everything is delicious.
C. K.
If you love all things cheese this place is sublime!
The food is so rich and glorious on the palette and the staff seriously know their stuff!
I was waiting for my friends for ages and Claudia was so good to me while I was waiting!
Ask them what their favourite dishes are. You will not be disappointed 🙌🙌
J. R.
Really cute little diner with a simple modern decor of marble and wood. I had booked a table for one and staff knew my name when I turned up which was a nice touch. Sat alone at the bar which wasn’t awkward at all, staff are friendly and knowledgeable and clearly passionate about cheese. I had 3 starters and no main which was very filling and really tasty. The London Burrata hazelnut and sage pesto was delicious. Shall go back with more people for a fondue. Be prepared to share tables as the space is small and you sit with other customers, but the atmosphere is nice and informal.
Music? Of course a bit cheesy!
L. B.
This may be cheesy but...we came to the cheese bar after seeing it wildly publicised on social media, and as a cheese lover, was eager to visit.
Honestly, was one of the best dining experiences in London. Sunny and Blair, in particular, were exceptional and so lovely. They made us feel so welcome, we really didn’t want to leave.
Make sure to visit this whenever in London!
Thank you and much love,
The Duchess and her Pauper
L. C.
A MUST go bar in Camden! I love this place. From the moment you get in the delicious cheeses just go into your senses.. please order the blue beef raclette you won't regret. Book to avoid disappointment!
D. C.
Absolutely fantastic food and staff are very passionate about there cheeses and recommended some dishes for us. Great atmosphere and the day we visited was my partner's birthday. They surprised her (and me) by bringing out a cheese cake with a candle in it. Nice touch guys. Have already recommended the cheese bar to our friends. Will definitely be returning. Thanks guys for a great experience. Cheers. Darron & Vicky. From Ashford in Kent.
I. C.
Great place for cheese lovers. Fair prices and great quality food. Their sourdough is amazing too. We went there for a team lunch and had cheese fondue, grilled cheese and various starters. Did not disappoint
O. T.
This place will do you some decent cheesy dishes don't get me wrong. But I can't help but think that is a bit of a gimmick. I wanted it to be all you can cheese, a cheese fest if you will. It turned out being slightly too upmarket for its own good. Dishes were yummy, but small and to be quite honest, a bit stingy on the cheese. It would surprise me if anyone but tourists really came to this place regularly. If not, it is probably a 'go once to try' sort of place.
K.
Absolutely amazing. I cant believe I've not been here before. Anyone who likes cheese will love it. The mozzarella sticks are to die for, the best I've ever had. Very reasonably priced and a small but cosy atmosphere.
N. M.
A very different and fun experience with great prices!
A. H.
It's really rare to eat out in London and have a positive experience with every member of staff you encounter, love the food and drink and enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant all in one night. After all the buzz surrounding the opening of the Cheese Bar on social media I was skeptical about this place but was pleasantly surprised that there was substance behind the buzz. The dishes we tried were all delicious, I would especially recommend the goats cheese toasty and queso fundido. Can't wait to go back!!
R. K.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Great cheesy options, so much to choose from!
Service was good.
The only negative I would comment on was flies hovering around the seating area, not sure if this is the norm.
Would definitely return.
A. G.
My boyfriend and I know some of the locally sourced cheeses from a festival a few months ago, so I can say that the cheeses are some of the best from small British producers. We had the truffled brie, the raclette, and the seasonal cheese board, and everything was delicious. Also, the service at the bar was great - a French bartender helped us with the choice of food and drink, and he really knew his menu and was super friendly. My only remark is that I would have liked to be able to order any cheese from the list of suppliers, which is hung on the wall. Many interesting kinds to choose from, yet the menu focused on the more timid ones. I would also recommend sourcing at least one kind of premium red and white wine, as I found the reds a little bland for the cheesy menu. But - they've also got sparkling mead, so..
C. E.
The atmosphere of the place is nice and it has a very good location, but I did not enjoy the food we were served. We ordered the poutine and the raclette and the portions were very small (you could fit them in your hand). The poutine tasted ok but the potatoes in the raclette were undercooked and the whole dish had a sour, unappetizing taste. Others at our table got some of the smaller plates and those looked ok.
Z. Z. N.
Concept and decor is nice, but service and food are not nearly there. Food was served very slowly and flavors poorly balanced - either too sour or too sweet. Raclette was overcooked so that we couldn't see much cheese at all.
Service staff in general move slowly and are not attentive (although they seem to be nice). Plenty of standing around. Counter tops were wiped with one cloth end to end without even flipping sides!
Not recommended unless it's raining and you are super hungry.
And for sure won't come back again!
L. W.
Enjoyed a great summer day lunch sitting outside at the cheese bar; a friend and I shared 5 dishes between us as we wanted to sample lots of cheesy options! I'd definitely recommend doing this at least for a first visit. As it was a hot day the Burrata was a stand-out favourite for me! Can't wait to return in winter for warm cheese and some red wine!
A.
Great service and enthusiastic advise from our French waiter. We had the fondue fritter with romanescu sauce, poutine and blue cheese raclette. All were fantastic and had a well balanced innovative combination of flavours. The rich cheese bar beer went really well with the cheeses.
b. w.
We came here on a Wednesday night in may for an after work meal. We had previously tried to come on a Friday but no tables were available, and even on the Wednesday threre were people waiting by half six, so definitely book online.
The menu is quite simple (everything has cheese!) but the dishes are exquisite. There were five of us and we shared ten dishes between us, and this seemed like a good amount of food. Our particular favourites were the pouting (bacon gravy!), the raclette, and the "mac and cheese". But thats if we had to pick, everything was great, the amount of truffle in the Brie was just right, not overpowering, the marmite flavour in one of the starters was very subtle but just right, and the toasties were an amazing mix of flavours. The only slightly disappointing dish was the fondue, not to say it was bad, but not up to the incredible standards of the others.
The drinks menu was nice a varied, we sampled a few of the beers and they were all very good. A nice selection of wine (which we didn't try) and some soft drinks.
Staff were very friendly and knowledgable, and always there to help with decision making if we were stuck. Pricing was reasonable, with the total cost 22 pounds a head including tip.
The decor is simple but nice, and all the chairs inside are high stools, a consideration if you don't find these comfy, but there is bench seating outside
We will defiantly be coming back, and if your in the area then pop in. Even if your not, make the trip here especially!!
D. T.
Not sure what others are complaining about regarding the portion sizes. Yes, they are quite small but the ingredients are very rich and even with one sandwich you will be satisfied. In fact even two hours later I am still full and I only had a single chorizo and jalapeño cheese sandwich. Combining cheese, chorizo and jalapeño into a sandwich is pretty much guaranteed to be nice, and it was. The people sitting next to us had some mozzarella sticks with a kind of salsa and I could hear all sorts of adjectives describing how nice it was. The layout of the place is great. The shared bar concept does it for me and it was very clean and tidy. The service was also pretty good, not amazing but not bad. If you're in Camden I'd highly recommend a visit to this place.
K. B.
Absolute cheese heaven... such a great range of options and different cheeses, can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!! Prices were really reasonable too we are a LOT of cheese & with two rounds of drinks it was £35 / head
C. C.
One word: cheese. More words: everything we had was great. The burger was cooked impeccably, and of course smothered in cheesy goodness. The grilled angloumi was maybe a little underwhelming, but still good. The one downside regarding food is that they were out of the poutine, so I had to switch to a raclette. It, too, was tasty, but I really missed the poutine. And the cocktails were pretty amazing.
We were unable to sit inside, but the seats are all counter/communal seats...inside and out. Outside, you get a view of Camden Market and the Amy Winehouse statue. Service was a little slow, but not so slow that we were frustrated by it.
s. t.
Visited here by chance while in Camden today, had the truffle burger, best burger I've had in a long time , literally dripping with brie , messy but mmmm 😋
S. P.
Fantastic place for Cheese lovers. Great selection on the menu with the Malakoff and Blue Cheese Racelette being my personal favourite.
Really well organised bar and communal table seating where the staff keep things interactive and jovial. They can advise you on the dishes and (more importantly) the wine and cocktails that pair with your dishes!
Thank you! We will be back again
M. M.
A slice of heaven... the malakoff was delicious - definitely a case of love it! Especially with the oozing cheese. Service was excellent, Sunny was great at providing recommendations and created a great atmosphere for our group! Will be heading back very soon!
H. x.
Food was amazing!! My second visit! Will deff go again!!!
M. T.
Have just discovered this gem in Camden. If you like cheese and wine and can't make it to Paris to get your fix this is a very good alternative! All the dishes we tried were cooked well, the camembert bake was by far the best I have ever had. Must try if you are coming. Although there isn't a big choice of wine the house red was delicious would recommend that. The cherry on the cake were the very friendly staff.
Will definitely be back.
G. R.
The name says it all, if you like cheese then come along, if you don't stay away. Don't order too much for the rich flavours will smite you down. It's a shame the toilets are a short walk away, but nothing will detour me away from the tasty beer on offer here. Much recommended
N. J.
The staff were a little lacklustre and my dish (Stilton Grilled Cheese) was so rich I struggled to eat it although it was delicious. Having said that, it's certainly a sophisticated yet relaxed spot perfect for cheese lovers!
A. H.
Dog friendly outside seating area next to Amy Winehouse statue. Nice cheese and wine
L. H.
The food is very good, everything is with cheese and although the portions look small they are good because you are mainly eating cheese. The staff was good too. The restaurant is a little small. I recommend to go to have lunch because during the evening ii seems isolated.
E. A.
SO good. Highly recommened. I got the Mac n Cheese for lunch and it was heavenly. My only regret was ordering bread and butter as an appetizer as it was a waste of stomach space when I could have eaten something more cheesy and delicious. Everything on the menu looked amazing.
G. C.
Wasn't very impressed with the starters, the cheese puff pastry that was tasteless
P. S. (.
The cheese puffs are addictive! So light a fluffy I recommend ordering more then you think.
The maccaroni and cheese is underwhelming, go for one of the other dishes.
Update! I went back and had the macaroni and cheese and it is greatly improved!
K. M.
Had a fabulous time at The Cheese Bar, the food was delicious, the wine superb and Alicia the waitress, the best.
C. R.
Excellent service, good quality of the food and honest prices.
R. “.
Went to game a cheese fondue, was amazing.
Thanks
A. S.
Absolutely brilliant! Will be returning although I'm not the biggest fan of cheese the experience is great fun!

THE HONEST REVIEW: This place is ok. The menu offers a decent selection of small tapas style dishes based around various cheeses. The cheese quality is average but the dishes we treid were well put together. The beef rib dish is particularly good. The burrato was weak - just like average mozzerella. The welcome team were not very good, they treat you like an inconvenience. As is often the case in London, the service suffers from the sheer number of willing customers in certain hotspots around the city. There is so much passing trade they don't need to be nice. This takes me to the second negative, this place really suffers from the location. The Stables Camden is always a bit of an over-crowded Euroteen, Chinese MSG buffet nightmare. So to stick this fairly swanky looking little cheese place in there seems odd. Overall... a bit of a miss-placed odd one. Go on a quiet night, avoid Sat/Sun afternoon at all costs.
M. M.
I had the macaroni & cheese and fried cheese sticks with marinara sauce... This place is affordable and delicious! The staff are wonderful as well. The Cheese Bar is a must if you visit Camden.
R. L.
We attended a Bottomless Raclette event and I wasn’t impressed with the way this was done. There were too many potatoes and not enough Raclette.
If your looking for great Raclette in the city head to Borough. There’s a stall there which can’t be beaten (just make sure you have cash).
I might try this place again for the normal menu so an updated review may appear in the next couple of months.
A. T.
Great cheese toasties.

I visited the cheese bar with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the food, wine and service made for a really lovely atmosphere. To start we had the marmite dish which is just so hard to describe but a must order if you are a Marmite fan like myself and we had the burrata, which is a lovely light and fresh dish. We ordered the baked Tunworth with beef dripping toast to share as a main, which is just phenomenal and highly recommend. The bean side dish was a lovely light addition to the meal too. Top marks we will be back.

My girlfriend and I went for dinner. Very nice place to have a lovely evening. The food is great, you can enjoy different types of cheese, maybe a bit expensive but it worth it. 100% recommended.
D. C.
A restaurant where all the dishes include cheese - including fondue, raclette, scotch eggs, and even cheesecake
T. B.
Went here today for lunch and was not disappointed! Amazing food, great drinks and friendly staff, and at really affordable prices. Only sad bit was that we were too full for dessert! We'll definitely be going again!
L. S.
The food was absolutely amazing - the variety of cheese was ridiculous - also, the staff are 100% lovely and even posted my husband's raincoat back to him after he left it at the restaurant!!! Would definitely go back again!
C. T.
If you like cheese you will love this...fondue was lovely...London price
A. F.
Great cheese packed food! The service could be better on the outside area. We had to go inside and call them each time we needed anything. Lovely staff though!
S. T.
Omg yes. Best grilled cheese I've had in a long, long time. Very reasonable prices for the area. Make a reservation because it's tiny. Prepare to be full.

The food is extraordinary! Just amazing and the staff were lovely. Its a cool, new concept of sitting around the bar and having your food there but its really nice having that direct contact with the staff at all times
P. B.
Cheese plate was very nice and well accompanied but service was slow, beer was especially warm even for England, but most importantly why is there a huge sign listing all their cheeses if I can't pick which cheeses I want to try. Disappointed.
J. I.
Loved the cheese fondue..
The Bread, pickles, sausages, potatoes, and brussel sprouts
A £10 per person deposit is required to book a table.
J. S.
Trendy but not too trendy, good prices and a must for cheese fiends. Gets busy quickly. The design of the room itself is poor, there is not enough room for customers and staff to move without being on each other's toes.
A. K.
Amazing food! Must stop if your passing by and love cheese!
P. W.
Delicious:-) very good staff they are helpful
C. I. G.
Cool place and staff, It's a very appealing restaurant you must visit. The food are absolutely delicious so so tasty. Menu is quite interesting. I have to say, I don't really know, if they're loosing a little bit the food-truck concept and flavour ...
C. S.
Staff were lovely and the cheese was amazing!
T. M.
Tried to go there at 5.20pm. Meant to be open till 7pm Sunday. When ordering a drink we were told they were closed despite them having customers inside and out and a waiter outside taking someone's order.
Posted same review on FB and received an immediate apology and explanation (staff sicial) so food on them for explaining etc.
A. H.
Great food. Great service. Great place
T. M.
Friendly service. Very tasty cheesy food. We had the Marmite balls, Scotch eggs and blue cheese dish. All excellent.
Recommended.
J. W.
The food here is fantastic. There was a 2 hour wait though! The best thing was the waitress, don't remember her name but she had grey/green hair. Brilliant!!
J. W.
This place is divine! I would book in advance to avoid disappointment. Lots of great food to choose from, mid to high price but worth it as everything is made fresh
A. G.
If you love your cheese, there is no reason to go anywhere else. A cheese lovers paradise. A little busy and hectic but cool vibe. Worth a visit or six!!
P. P.
Date Night, first one in a while... Was good to be out and about again, and what a great start to it, by wining and dining with cheese... Lots of cheese
L. R.
It's a really cool restaurant with a great selection of cheeses, however far too expensive - even for Camden market! I paid almost £9 for basically a posh cheese toastie.
R. L.
Such a great place, wonderful manager. And superb experience.
S. S.
Recommend the Chicken poutine and the cheese puffs!
A. L.
Probably the best cheese burger I've ever had.
s. S.
Amazing! The guy serving us made us feel at home
T. Z.
Truly a celebration of cheese in every form. The staff were accommodating enough to prepare our fondue without any alcohol on request
A. C.
Nice clean environemt. Very friendly staff. Sadly the food is not anything amazing in my opinion. A must for a cheese lover though. 3.5 stars from me
M. B.
Amazing that I've never tried fondue in my life before. Also amazed that there is a restaurant devoted to cheese 😍. Lovely liltle eatery if you love all things cheesy.
A. J.
The staff were great and helped us out with our large order. Would recommend the baked winslade, raclette and the grilled cheese sandwiches👌🏾
L. S.
Love cheese and love beer, what better place to go?
Z. J.
Great ambience, friendly owners. Bit pricey but don't need to have a lot as the dishes are very rich. Mozzarella sticks are recommended
E. H.
Lovely atmosphere....The cheesy dishes were delicious, especially the Queso Fundido. They have a lovely selection of beers and Cider too
M. F.
Do you like cheese? If yes then definitely go.
A. O.
Very good! I'm not a huuuge fan of cheese, but the different ways they do cheese dishes here is special. Sooo much cheese! 😁 Probably had enough to last me for a couple of months... 😂
P. A.
Fantastic service, very busy which gives it a great buzz, for any cheese fanatics out there I highly recommend this place, a great selection of grills from gooey stringy chedder, to a hard hitting strong Bishop Stilton.. this place is a must try, absolutely brilliant.
P. M.
The food there is amazing! However, I would like it more if it wasn't that packed. I felt very claustrophobic. And the prices could be a little bit lower. Just a bit.
O.
Great cheese bar
V.
My friend and I ordered a fondue and we're really satisfied with the service, portions and quality of the food. Will definitely go back.
C. D.
Just ok. Didn’t really live up to expectations. Sign outside read “Best grilled cheese in Britain” so I gave it a try and I can honestly say that I’ve made better in my own kitchen and that’s on a bad day.
M. E.
Cheesy heaven! The fondue was delicious. We will be back.
T. K.
Excellent wood fire pizza in Camden Market.
J. N.
Amazing concept , if your not a cheese liker avoid. If like me and my family you like cheese it's a must.
Great friendly service
L. A.
Cheese!
Great food, and super quick. Could do with a few more cheese options as well as slightly larger fondue with sausage for the price or sharer portions.
R. B.
Absolutely amazing food. Unfortunately we had a limited amount of time but they fit us in and will definitely be returning
S.
As a cheese lover I had to visiti it and of course- the food and amount of cheese is amazing! But for London standards the service could and should be much more nicer!
G. ..

C. G.
Very nice first time for me, and was impressed. Well worth a visit.
K. R.
Amazing experience, great environment and perfect service. Staff was great and they have a incredible selection of cheeses, nice to see a place like this in town !!
K.
If you love cheese then this is the place for you. It’s in Camden market though, so if you’re driving, you’ll have to think about where to park in advance
K. S.
Just like a drinks bar but with lots of cheeses and cheese dishes to choose from. Cheese starters cheese mains and cheese deserts with cheese finger buffets and the list goes on. Had a really wonderful time here.
b. h.
Fantastic is the only description. This is cheese heaven

R. H.
Very tasty cheese and friendly staff. Good for drinks only or food and drink.
L. M.
The service was brilliant, however the food was extremely overpriced. There are no toilets on site either, and lots of bird poo around the outside tables.
E. N.
Lovely but please note there are two and only the one in covent garden has the conveyor belt!
P. H.
I always hear great things about The Cheese Bar. We are a supplier and we love having them as a customer.
R. D.
Very good
T. H.
Toasted sandwich ok, but a bit stingy on the cheese. Cheese fries also lacking on the cheese

Amazing food and great service! The man in charge in particular ensured everyone was having a good time!

Wanted to be blown away by the eaterie but wasn't. Food was good but could be so much more.
A. P.
Yum yum! Food was very good, fondant was nice
H. S.
I can see why people have said the dishes are quite small, they are. However, the food is so rich I'm not sure you could eat huge portions. Our meal of two starters, two mains and a side dish, two drinks each came to about £70 which I don't think is unreasonable. Very stylish counter seating, great service and a small, but interesting menu. Loved it.
R. W.
Great concept and really wanted to enjoy it but the execution wasn't what you would expect it to be
C. M.
