Excellent food!!! For quality..you not always have to pay a lot... I am in the hospitality industry for more then 25 years. Especially in the restaurant areas.. Usually I'm very critical about the food. I have to say this little grill restaurant is all about the authentic and quality food!! The steaks were absolutely amazing. Well prepared, well sized, very tasty and well served. The sides, the sauces and drinks also excellent! The only downside is there was cold in the restaurant... But apart from them....100% Steve

I remember thinking, what just happened? I’m sure you can relate. How many times have you gone to an establishment and they boast about a secret recipe? Only to dine at the restaurant and each morsel is reminiscent of something else you’ve tasted just down the road. Not here, they definitely have a secret recipe, each morsel was an experience. The marinade and the tender chicken is something un paralleled. This place is a must try, I’m still struggling to relate the culinary experience, it’s not like any other chicken i’ve tasted! Aside from food, the service was great and cleanliness was great too. Will visit again soon. Had to visit again and they didn’t fail to deliver. Food and service was exemplary!!

Last night we had food there, the food was great. Chips and wedges were good as well. The whole family loved the food. The price of main dishes was very reasonable. To get to this place you simply walk through the Westfield shopping centre to the other side of it, pass the church on you left and you're there. I would suggest they create platters without sausages. Also that Mushroom and chilli sauce we had was really great. Not your usual chilli from a tub, but way better. I took pictures of the menu as well.

The food came really quick. Unfortunately the spicy rice was not at all spicy. The sweet potato fries were very tasty and the chicken was good. Its my first time here, because I live local, I hadn't been. My friend told me the food was good so I thought I'd try it. Staff were friendly, but left us to get on with it, which I like. I would like to try some other things on the menu. There was nowhere to sanitise your hands. But they did have a toilet so I suppose you could wash your hands. I would recommend it.

I've got say my expectations were pleasantly surpassed. When you approach it doesn't look like much, hidden away in the shade of Westfield Shopping centre so don't be misled by first impression. Service was super fast staff were on their toes all night ready to respond at a moment's notice. Unto the food..... great value for money and that seasoning very nicely done, great rub on the chicken. If you fancy a good grill, at a decent price I think look no further, great flavour and great service! Truly a gem tucked away in the busy streets of Stratford!

The steak has too many things going for it. Some might like it but I personally prefer my steak plain. The steak itself was nice. I'd suggest to get rid of the bread and cheese on top. The pina colada was nice but the blue lagoon kinda tasted like cough syrup. The chilli cheese stuff was really good. The rainbow cake thing was good, wish the cake was a little bit soft and fresh but the drink was nice. Service was good too. Overall a good restaurant and its worth a visit.

The Grill Stratford is one of the hidden good places to eat in Stratford. Outside of the The Grill Stratford does not look attractive or expect it to be of great service. Entering inside was an element of a pleasant surprise and excitement. The waiters were professional in taking our orders, serving and packing after enjoying the lovely meal. Just visited this place with my wife, it was our first time going out after this lockdown. The food was absolutely amazing and our waiter Shorif was 10/10 the whole experience this evening was incredible because of Shorif and his attention to details. My favourite restaurant! I love it! My favourite has to be their frango steak with hot pepper sauce and steak chips. They do everything from gourmet burgers, sirloin steaks, to whole grilled chicken and pasta dishes. They have a range of sauces to chose from and tasty sides and starters (got to try their grilled chops platter!). Really can't go wrong. I've never had a bad experience here. I would highly recommend. The staff are very friendly too and always try to accommodate no matter how large the party of diners.

Always lived in Stratford never been here, new owners. Nandoos was closed due to chicken shortages 🐔 thought I'd give it a try. Was surprised by the high ratings. Very very surprised. Really hard to find good man & cheese in London but this was nice, too much Bechamel sauce for me but was still cheesy. Wing were grilled and the sweet and sticky sauce was really nice, the buffalo wings were OK. The also do steaks, but steakhouse is right around the corner and I wouldn't really chose this over Nandoos, especially as this costed £13, slightly more than Nandoos. But still great food.

Fantastic service. I went here with my friends and kids. The person who served us went out of his way to accommodate us. Whether it was to customise the dish or move us so we would be more comfortable. He had good knowledge of the food so I was bale to make an informed decision and really enjoyed my food. Went for a bday so we were a big group. Grill got full with other orders so had to wait for "batch 2" which meant i was eating 10 mins or so after the first batch. Very annoying. But staff were apologetic and informative when asked. Lamb burger was absolutely divine! Would have that again! Pina colada was creamy and lovely! Would defo recommend! Coleslaw was nice but a bit bitter. As was the dressing on the side salad... But it was also sweet, a bit like honey. The chips were standard. High chairs for the little ones. Would go again but not in a big group.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST RESTAURANT IN EAST LONDON!! The Grill East Ham I'm so glad I discovered the grill last year this is literally my go to spot Im a regular customer and they are so welcoming. The service is amazing all staff members are so friendly . The food wow I don't even know where to start. The quality of the food served is amazing literally top quality food for such an affordable price. Visited today and ordered the 8oz Medium Sirloin Steak and the Mega Feast Platter. The meats in both dishes retained their juices, and were marinated uniquely and cooked to perfection. Understandingly the restaurant had a queue but this order arrived within 15 mins. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating....well worth a re-visit.

Been too many times and i think they deserve a review! Few mins from Stratford Westfield!! They are currently going under some interior changes, the difference in service has noticeably improved (if u had any unexpected experience, give it a try now !!) But i must say 1 thing that remains unchanged, is their delicious foods with variety of sauces. As a chicken lover i believe no one should stick to herb and lemon or Peri peri sauce!! Extra spicy marinated grilled chicken with creamy mushroom sauce is my all time fav!!! But u won't be disappointed with lamb chop or double decker!!

The service is good and the interior looks nice too but the food, and I cant comment entirely because I have not tried everything on the menu but I can speak for what I've ordered and the Lamb chops are rubbery but the flavour is good enough and the platter is too small for £30, even for half the price which is what I paid, still not worth it. I'm glad I went during "eat out/help out" 50% off. Everything is great other than the food that I ordered bad texture and small portions. I may visit again and if I like the food I may change my review to 5 stars.

I went to this restaurant to quickly grab something for lunch with my partner. Upon entering The Grill, we was greeted by a well mannered gentleman who, being the host of the restaurant, ushered us to the table next to the fish tank, setting up a romantic scene for us 👍. (extra points here) As soon as I looked at the menu, another waiter walked passed carrying a tray of sizzling lamb chops, without hesitation I knew I had to get me some of those bad boys. Once the food arrived, my partner and I looked at each other, and automatically knew that we've found ourselves a gem within Stratford. We ordered the buffalo wings, lamb chops and spare ribs for starters but the portions were a lot bigger than we expected, but this didn't stop us. We still managed to demolish our mains, which was Frango Bomb and the Double Decker Stack. Everything had such great flavor and was cooked to perfection. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!! Will definitely be coming back to try other food in the menu!

Absolutely delicious food. Ordered the sirloin steak medium well which was cooked as ordered. Not one bit of fat on it which is what I like. The steak sauce I ordered wasn't to my taste however the steak alone had so much flavour it didn't need any sauces with it. Mojito was lovely. We went as a group of 10 for iftar and all our food arrived within 15 minutes although we did order ahead. Lovely atmosphere and nice staff. Will definitely go again.

Mixed feeling, a moderate food and a weird service quality. It was our first time went to Stratford to visit West Ham United Stadium. Originally, we wanted to have a dinner at Nando’s but they had closed their queue and this restaurant was the closest halal restaurant from Nando’s. At first, all was fine. The place was busy because of the eat out to help out scheme but the staff worked fast while still being responsive and friendly. A half an hour later, we were told our orders were sold out. From this, the service was going down. First, fifteen minutes after changing our order, we were given a bowl of chicken wing. We thought that it’s a part of our order that came separated (my husband ordered meat feast, chicken wing included in this menu) as other tables were also given the side dish 15 minutes before the main menu served. But, when we found chicken wings on my husband’s plate, we assumed it was a complimentary for had been waiting for an hour. Second, our bill came without eat-out-to-help-out discount (and no extra chicken wings). The male waiter said they could only give max 10 pound out of a 27 pound bill. When I asked further about a 10 pound cap per person, he suggested to split our bill. The lady at the cashier agreed on this. However, the manager looked irritated by my request and said the extra chicken wing hasn’t been included in the bill. I even didn’t say anything and let her to include this extra, but then she tried again to prevent me from splitting my bill by saying that they only accept card for this scheme to work while the customer before me paid with cash. In general, everything was nice except that incident.

I went with a couple of friends, they ordered chicken and they absolutely loved it.. I ordered pulled beef.. I wasn't prepared for the strong smell, wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that or not.. The head waiter was very kind, gave me buffalo wings and bottle of Halal champagne to take home to make sure I didn't leave disappointed. Went that extra mile for me. What a nice and pleasant chap.

The food and service is always great here whenever my friends and I go. The atmosphere is lovely: simple yet classy interior decoration, and a large fish tank placed in the main dining area, perfect for kids to be amazed by. The one thing I absolutely love to buy at The Grill is their milkshake. It is thick, flavourful and lasts a while - definitely worth the money (I recommend bubblegum, strawberry shortcake and snickers). The prices are moderate for a restaurant but can get expensive if you go for items like steak, as expected. You can get a decent burger meal for £7-ish. Pictured is one of their 8oz beef burgers I ordered. Improvements: - Give more wedges! I love to buy their wedges as opposed to steak chips but I've noticed they give a lot less wedges than chips. - When I ordered the T-bone steak a few years ago, it was extremely chewy and well done, I felt like I wasted my money then. Maybe their steaks have improved now.

Came here with my wife on a Friday night- the restaurant wasn’t very busy and we had ordered when it was relatively quiet. The food took 45 minutes to come which was disappointing and the food items came in staggered. The waitor who took our order seemed to forget parts of what we ordered and required prompting eg. Told us we didn’t order two drinks when we did, had to remind them to give us our drinks or asked us to repeat parts of the order again when all the food was delivered. Despite the slow and inefficient service, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the food. The prices were reasonable and there is a good variety to pick from. We both enjoyed the starters, main and drinks and if not for the poor service, would definitely have included this as a restaurant to return to.

My husband ordered a half chicken, and he could choose from a variety of sauces on top of the chicken. However the service is really poor, we sat down, nobody even noticed us, we had to go, get the menu ourselves, and had to ask somebody to take our order, but we were very hungry, and it was snowing, so we stayed. Came for a small baby shower celebration with friends and family and we were running late( past the kitchens closing time). The staff stayed back and prepared our food and tailored to our needs. Shared starters here instead of a meal as was going low carb, consisting of: buffalo wings, lamb chops, king prawns. The buffalo wings were good 1 portion is 5 wings sauce was buffalo sauce correct proportions of butter and hot sauce giving that tang, lamb chops were 4 excellent and cooked med rare as I prefer, king prawns were 6 and served on a bed of roasted veg consisting of aubergine courgette and onion. All well presented, service was attentive but they perhaps should be wary of being overly intrusive overall I would recommend on the basis of the starters caveat for this review being I haven't tried the mains.

Customer service 6/10 - Improved on my second visit(tried to avoid). Got a complimentry drink. Decor 6/10 - Its good, lighting is good to match colors - New Tables and chairs now. But theres a massive clear window looking out to an ugly view. Blinds or frosted desinged windows perhaps. Lamb Steak well done 6.7/10. This was not dry and the spices were very nice. Half Chicken 6.2/10 - Nice flavours, but I was expecting grown chicken not baby chicken as theres another portuguese place nearby who do grown grilled chicken for a lil more money. The Chilli sauce is great 7/10 I asked waiter more description on the scampi, he could not communicate properly and I was left disappointed with cheap deep fried breaded scampi 3/10. Im not sure if this still on menu and if the waiter is still there. Oh they don't accept card payment so had to walk 150 metres to atm through a dark quite road..

All I can say is the food was amazing as always I've been going to this restaurant for over 5+ years now and the food keeps getting better and better. Today I was served by a staff member named Erik at the East Ham branch can I just give this guy a huge thanks for the way he served me and my family from the moment we arrived until we left the restaurant this guy was amazing. I visited the restaurant yesterday with my friend as a dinner meet up. Our waiter named Erick was very very helpful and very considerate. Food was amazing and service was also very good. We had ordered a full chicken which normally comes with one sauce , however me and my friend decided that it wasn't enough for the both of us. Erick was kind enough give us another cup of sauce being on the house as well. Honestly recommend this place for the great food and great service. :) thank you Erick for your services last night.
