Reviews of The Ivy Cafe Wimbledon Village

First time here. Nice vibe to the place. Staff very attentive and top up drink frequently. Food was served at a good enough speed with good space between courses. Food was very good too. Prices are fairly reasonable we paid £250 for two people but for what we got it was money well spent. We will return again

Took a friend for a special treat. Food was ok though not outstanding but it was very cramped. Additionally having had two courses we decided against dessert but my friend ordered a coffee and I ordered a glass of wine but we were told that the table was reserved for someone else. At the time of booking we were not informed we had a limited time spot so it was really annoying. For that reason alone would probably not go again

Food was great and the portion sizes, they were slightly busy which I appreciate but seating took a little while although staff were apologetic, service also took quite some time to get our drinks and food in but again no real complaints, just make sure you leave plenty of time when going there to eat, drink and enjoy. Oh and cocktails were absolutely delicious 😍

A grand restaurant - delicate food, good service, a little bit pricey.
We came for a brunch. Ordered a main each, a drink and a side to share. The food was amazing and the service was great (the waitress came to check whether everything alright a couple of time and we never left waiting). The bill was on the pricey end, as one course with a drink came £28 per person.
Recommend to come for a good occasion!

Had a great time with my family for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Table was well-prepared in advance of the time of our booking. The wine list and menu offered great variety. The food presentation and quality of food were superb. Whilst the prices were not cheap the quality made everything worth the price.
S. L.
Gorgeous restaurant, keeping in theme with all the other Ivy restaurants there is a beautiful botanical theme. The menu is extensive with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The cocktails are amazing, I especially liked the Ivy special g&t. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I loved the shrimp tempura, zucchini fritters, chicken Milanese and thick cut fries.
M. K.
We had Afternoon tea and they did a fabulous job catering for our dietary requirements (gluten, dairy, vegetarian). We did call ahead, so I recommend doing the same, if needed. The alternative food was good but occasionally a bit dry.
Apart from some longer waiting times, the overall experience was good with kind service.
K. S.
What a great venue in the village. They had a couple of faults but the food and the atmosphere more than made up for it. Instead of 3 stars, which I would have given for the reason below it saved it to 4. The food is very good and the menu is extensive and caters for vegetarians with a separate menu. On the downside they run out of bread and a certain beer, plus turning up 20mins before the reservation we were asked to leave and come back at the right time..... why not allow us to wait at the bar. So overall a good experience.

Let the Ivy climb
The joy of travelling into Wimbledon, London, meeting ex-work colleagues from The Imperial War Museum, drinking, eating and chatting all within a gorgeously decorated private dining room.

A gem of Wimbledon.
We went for tea time - our third time in 2 years and although it was always a pleasant experience, this last time the has elevated their game to a different level.
We say in the back garden which is always a treat. Their service was impeccable - always courteous and and tending to our needs.
What was really impressive was the attention given to our children. They gave them free refills for their babycinnos and also hot chocolate at no cost. And when the sun went away and it was a bit chilly, they offered a blanket for the children.
We also ordered food and the liver parfait was incredible especially the display. Order it if you go- I won't ruin the surprise.
The tea time tray was also excellent and loved the variety.
Overall, it was an excellent experience where an establishment from the top down understands the needs of their customers, especially families with children. The servers were excellent and a testament to this great place. We will be coming again soon!

Fabulous food, fabulous service and a fantastic evening had by all of the team. This was a real treat for us all and the team at the Ivy did everything they could to make it special. I would highly recommend you eat here, all

Good food, good atmosphere, need to improve kids menu, 9/10

Does exactly what is asked of it. Staff are always helpful and the food is a decent standard. It may be a chain but it’s always a nice experience.

Very enjoyable Friday lunch as friends. It was quite busy, so we were glad we booked! Both of us had fillet steaks with chips and mushroom sauces. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Service was very good.

I have been to The Ivy Cafe in Wimbledon Village a few times and it continues to impress me.. The staff are attentive, but not intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu and nothing is to much trouble.. The menu is extensive, lots to choose from, prices are as expected, not super cheap, but reasonable for where you are and what you will eat.. Highly recommended..
As we left (lunchtime) the afternoon tea's had started.. I think I will have to try one of those (looked very impressive) with my wife.
M. P.
Delicious food, attentive staff. They go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied.
K. I.
A friend took me here and we had lovely overall experience. Victoria took care of us - she was attentive, helpful, friendly and pleasant.
Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of the place or food, but I would say everything we ordered was presented well and tasted good.
B. C.
Great food prepared to a high standard.
We'd have liked to stay on a bit longer but had to vacate our table after around 2.5 hours as it was booked by another guest.
It's a busy place and this happens every time.
Definitely recommended . One thing to note is that it gets very noisy. Don't go if you want a quiet get to know you date.
E. T.
Excellent food and service. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance. Clean, and so-so cosy! They really go above and beyond to make you enjoy your time! Highly recommended!
k. k.
Nice varied menu of food and drinks. Attentive service and nice atmosphere/ambience. Tasty food. Had the scallops to start and lobster linguine and both were very good and tasty.
M. O.
Cute afternoon experience at such a decent price! Good portion size too and lovely fresh mini scones. Small let down on how some bread products was stale and dried out.
T. G.
Afternoon tea here was absolutely wonderful! The food is great and the set is is even better
A. C.
Beautiful interior, fabulous food, atmosphere and service. I have been back many a time and the last time we had Orlando looking after us and he was wonderful.
B. I.
Very good first time experience. Delicious food, very polite and professional and lovely waitress. Only 4 star because the price is very high for what it is worth. I'd pay more to eat there but not at their listed price
C.
We went for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. The sandwiches and scones were lovely but the cakes very disappointing. Overly sweet, a little tasteless and one was a smoothie which is not a cake! The cakes should be full of flavour and delicate but they just tasted of sugar. I’d go again but really I just want the sandwiches and the scones.
J.
Great service and delicious food! They give a nice sweet for your birthday!
T. K.
Beautifully decorated place with very attentive staff. The prices aren't too crazy either. We had the Eggs Royale and the Eggs Benedict and were massively impressed.
If you're in Wimbledon and are happy to walk up the hill you'll be pleasantly surprised.
N. K.
We had a lovely 3 course dinner with courteous service.
G. B.
Always a delight..
Monkfish and prawn Thai yellow curry.
Flavours Devine. Aye slow to save the flavour ;)
Followed by the wonder and famous chocolate bomb. Never disappoints.
Service exceptional. Friendly, helpful and nothing seems to be any trouble. X
T. B.
First time here. A pleasant and warm welcome from all members of staff. The food was very good, well presented. Will definitely come back and sample other parts of the menu.a pleasant experience.

Wonderful birthday lunch at the Ivy in Wimbledon Orlando’s service was perfect: attentive and discreet we got what we wanted before we knew we needed it
T. A.
The Ivy, whatever the location, is a London gem. The Ivy Wimbledon, however, is my favorite. It was the first one my wife took me to, but it is also just a classic. The food is amazing, the service exquisite. It is not a cheap venue, but will not break the bank. If you have never been, take your spouse on a dinner date there...or just for drinks at the bar. The place is pure class.
W.
Lovely elegant place 😍
Had a delicious brunch with some friends
Staff are super nice
Covid safe and very clean
I had egg royale and it was great! Friends had burgers and fish and chips and they said they were great too!
Highly recommended and would come again 👌
O. B.
Really enjoyable evening with very attentive staff. Great atmosphere too. I had the blackened Cod which was delicious but the highlight of the evening was the Chocolate Bombe. The hot caramel sauce melted the bombe which sat on a bed of milk foam. Each spoonful was a delight and a surprise as you met chocolate, a cunchie honeycomb and finally the cold vanilla ice cream. It was a wonderful experience of flavours and textures and I'd have it again in a heartbeat.
t. o.
Cocktails were nice, food was OK. Would recommend the fish and chips and the duck salad. The venue is very pretty
M. L.
Lovely afternoon tea....excellent service. Thank you.
V. S.
Good location and great atmosphere. Service overall attentive, polite and quick.
Food was good but nothing extraordinary especially the portions could be slightly bigger. Parmesan and truffle fries and the salmon with the Tortellini and champagne sauce were pretty good.
Prices on the higher end for Wimbledon bars/restaurants but they do provide a lunch and dinner set menu.
M. S.
Great food and service. Always a pleasure to return here, nothing is too much trouble for the very attentive staff. 10/10
M. F.
Having lunch at the Ivy Cafe was an absolute wonderful experience. The place has a lovely, tasteful decor - we were lucky to get a table in the garden and enjoy the sun. The food was simply amazing, I got the salmon fillet with baked sweet potatoes as a side (not pictured here unfortunately as I was too busy munching them). The potatoes were definitely a show stopper! We were served by a lovely waitress called Holly who was so kind and always open to fulfill our requests. Will definitely go back next time I'm in London.
S. G.
Oh what a beautiful evening I spent with my friends enjoying a much desired margarita in the town I love under the soft lights and laughter of lovely company. Following the lockdown this was my first girls night out...and we couldn't have selected a better place than Ivy to treat ourselves. Everything was spot on. The drinks, the Zuccini fritters and the mains. Our friends got delayed...and only regret I have is the booking was limited to little over 2 hours. So we did get dessert menu but never got to taste them. Other than that mains from the la carte menu were delicious. Fish of day...sole with lemon must try. Also do not underestimate the humble shepherds pie...it really was mouth watering. And top it all ... blood orange margarita...served my hand so.e man with a great smile 😉
S. S.
Sat in the terrace area which was beautiful. The duck salad was lovely and the service was excellent, and took extra precaution for my hazelnut allergy. Make sure you leave space for the chocolate bomb (if you have a sweet tooth, was a bit heavy for me but perfect to share!)
S. K.
Amazing experience, the food was deliciously gorgeous, the service most excellent and a great atmosphere too. Good value for money too.
P. A.
Very classy and polished venue for all times of the day. We were there for brunch and really enjoyed it. Good selection of meals including plenty of vegetarian options and a nice environment to enjoy it in. The service was also fantastic.
H. L.
Really fancy and great staff. Love the atmosphere and the service. The food was amazing but just too heavy for me.
K. D.
Good food. Menu never changes though. Gets very busy and this chain is a bit over-hyped. Nicely decorated and with a lovely covered garden at the rear.
U. K.
Had a last minute decision to visit for dinner. The decor is classic and the staff are on point. We didn't have a reservation but the found us a nice table before the evening rush. We had two different fish dishes, they were cooled beautifully and were moist and tasty. The desserts were amazing and we would love to come again for more.
K. N.
Fantastic service as to be expected. Social distancing measures were in place, temperatures were taken as you entered and the public areas were cleaned methodically and religiously. Food wise - fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the eggs benedict with gluten free bread. Love that there is always gluten free options and they can cater for coeliacs.
T. U.
A beautiful restaurant that has a relaxed vibe. I went on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was great. Vibrant but relaxed. The staff were ultra professional. The food was amazing ! From the starters of tempura prawns which were seasoned to perfection to the Malayan curry. Full of flavour. The chocolate bomb dessert was pure theatre....video cameras at the ready. The only minor thing was that the menu felt limited . On the plus side it was still varied and catered for all. I will be back ! 👍🏾
J. W.
Very good food ! The only problem we had was trying to book a table for 8 people. We were told a max of 6 per table and if we wanted more we would have to book upstairs, which is a minium of 12 people.
That being said the food was great the scallops were amazing, steak was cooked very well, Creme brule was disappointing however.
The menu I found difficult to navigate but not a huge issue.
Service was very good, very good drink service and the wine was very nice.
All in all I would definitely go back again.
W. S.
Went here for a girl's lunch on a Sunday, but think this place is better suited for families and yummy mummies. Food was great and a main from the brunch menu can keep you going for the rest of the day!
D. A.
Lovely atmosphere great service. And the food was good too!
J. F. -. B.
Opened. Two weeks before Wimbledon fortnight 2016 the Ivy Cafe Wimbledon has become THE place to dine at and to be seen doing so
Putting Wimbledon Village on the map this very upmarket venue dose not come cheap, expect a minimum £50 coverage each ( Three course with wine) but then the detail to each item on offer is par excellence. even down to the iced lemon water.
I Arrived on speck at 13.55 on a Saturday to find the place full.
Spaces were opened up at the bar on high chairs which added to my experience dining here for the first time in less than four minutes of having requested if a placing for one was possible.
The Staff were very attentive and Helpful. letting me take my time to choose rather than hovering the moment you pick up the menu.
What I ordered was prepared fresh arranged artistically, and was pleasingly to the eye on arrival.
The Mirror decor surroundings gave the place a French circa 1890s-1930s touch, while the depth to the restaurant itself gave surprise as to how far back it went.
Upstairs are where the private rooms are and where you could freshen up.
You will need to book way ahead of yourself to used one of them
Open just over the year, this former bank, transformed is a hit. and rivals its namesakes in Covent Garden and Richmond.
I will certainly be back.
D. W.
Never anything other than superb. Our third visit, and they can do no wrong. Everything we have had has been the best example, with home favourites and comfort food sitting alongside finer dining dishes. Always save room for dessert.
S. M. S.
Beautiful interior with a lovely looking menu. The food is average and though service is very efficient, it could certainly be friendlier. We were thrown out politely but promptly (even before we had fully finished coffee) to make room for the next round of brunch guests. Given that this is the kind of place you go to in order to enjoy the ambience, it felt like rather too much of a factory-line for my liking.
A. P.
Oh how lovely. Met a couple of girlfriends for a pre Christmas brunch . Staff so welcoming , polite and efficient. Beautiful food ( catered for vegan option) . A warm and enjoyable experience. We will return.
a. s.
The food is great with many choices and beware regarding the size of the food. The choices of food are vast and takes time to decide. The staff are amiable and helps you to decide. Might be a good thing to preview the vast dishes!

This place is a really stunner!!! Absolutely 5** food, service and interior design. I loved the arincini balls starter as well as the duck liver parfait and tempura shrimp and prawns. Creme brulee pudding was also divine!!! Only reason for 4* was because of my main of the osso buco shepherds pie, was a lovely version but small and some greens could come with it for that price!!
D. H. W.
Lovely staff. Smiley &friendly. Food was great. My lit one has a children menu you which is handy. Restaurant is well decorated inside.
T. M.
Superb! The staff is so professional.
B. N.
The cafe had a nice and cozy feeling with wonderful interior decorations. Even though the waiters and waitresses were well dressed the service could be better for the cost of the meal. In addition, the hostess was a bit cold and indifferent. The food was decent, and my wife enjoyed her cocktails very much.
J. A.
This is a lovely Art Deco style restaurant at the heart of Wimbledon Village. I had scallops to start, grilled sea trout, then sorbets to finish. All of the dishes were top notch. My dining partner had tuna carpaccio to start, and the rib-eye steak for main course - both were also superb from the mouthfuls I tasted. The staff were extremely helpful.
L. A.
Amazingly tasty food and excellent service.
N. M.
Good service, good food, nicely thought out desserts (christmas themed when we went)
One confusing thing was individual fries were added to everyone's meals (not requested by us) which was an extra cost for each.. we only realized they were separate once the bill came. Didn't have the energy to say anything so just went with it but not nice to see a surprise like that. Apart from this a great experience!
A. S.
My friend and I visited it with our little ones today. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks were delicious too.
S. P.
Superb as always. My first time in this ivy and happy to see the food quality is amazing.
L. D.
Love the Ivy! Been a few times to different ones and this was the first time I've been to the one in Wimbledon Village. Had lunch there with my sister and mum and had a wonderful time. Had fish and chips and they were amazing, the staff were so nice as well and attentive. Can't wait to go back
A. H.
Really pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a catch up with friends. The service is spot on as they leave you to enjoy your meal and have a natter, but are still around when you need them. There's plenty of choice on offer as far as the menu is concerned. I had the crab linguine and would recommend it (more crab would have been nice). Do try to book as it is very popular with the locals.
M. H.
Lovely place to dine, great selection of food, attentive staff, wines were good. Not cheap but you would not expect that though. Plus we met some local Actor celebrity who was a gentleman to say the least.
N. V.
Amazing, staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Food was delicious, however the ribeye was extremely fatty. Other than that good.
L. H.
Friendly staff (especially Kat who was very attentive, thoughtful, polite and friendly), good wine and cocktails and tasty food. The crab salad was amazing. Highly recommend.
K. S. T.
Was the perfect way to end lock down out out restrictions. Relaxing, great quality food and drink. And an amazing hospitality team 👌♥️
R. B.
Upscale dining with delicious food and excellent service. Pricey but worth a visit.
J. A.
I went there for my Mum’s birthday with family, everything was excellent! Service, foods and drinks. Special mention to Andonis who served us, he was a star!
N. R.
Great place for breakfast. Courteous attentive staff. Lovely coffee. 5 stars
C. R.
We had a delicious breakfast(the vegetarian option was great as well)
R. F.
Pretty restaurant that's very busy.
For me, sadly it doesn't live up to the reputation. The food is decidedly mediocre and lacking in flavour. For the price I expected a lot more. Two of us had the pea risotto and we both felt the same.
However, some of my party were perfectly happy with the sour dough bread, chicken salad and zucchini fries.
I will say the desserts look pretty impressive.
The booking allows about 2-3 hours but as it's a busy place, once you're done you will need to relinquish the table, which is understandable, but if you want to take your time say with a bug group just be aware.
For me, there are preferable places to eat but it's a nice experience.
E. H.
Perfect gem in the heart of the village. Food was lovely and the staff were attentive but not intrusive.
M. V.
Great for breakfast and brunch, separate menus for morning and evening and service was excellent
S. B.
Manage to be squeezed in all food lovely. Not a great fan of sweet potato pudding
R. G.
A very pleasing atmosphere with wonderful decor. Food and drinks could have been warmer
C. B.
Absolutely lovely. Food was delicious and the cocktails were great, I'd definitely recommend the rib eye. X
L. B.
Delicious brunch in gorgeous surroundings.
We both loved our brunch, and the service was excellent. Perfect place to have brunch when you are keen on being able to eat good food and talk. One of those magic finds where it is bustling and lively, but you can hear what the other person is saying and you don't have to shout (I'm happily coming to grips with being a grown up)!!
P.
Afternoon tea very classy staff very attentive great location food was outstanding a fantastic dining experience 😁😁😁😁😁
D. P.
Lovely place and the waitress was polite and friendly. We had the afternoon tea set which was vastly overpriced at £19.75 per person. The food was good but there wasn't enough to justify the price we paid. We could have had a decent lunch for less.
B. K.
Never disappoints lovely visit, excellent food excellent service💞💞💞

Was a lovely lunch ... waiters were amazing .. food brilliant throughly recommend going

Good service, delicious food, great decor, reasonable pricing.

As always, friendly and attentive service, delicious food and reasonably priced. We had the zucchini fritti - a must have!

Beautiful salmon on the daily specials, very well cooked and waitress was brilliant, well informed, excellent service and atmosphere is fantastic.

Superb family birthday lunch
Great service and lovely food thank you
Not too noisy
So much better than the ivy soho
S. S.
Parents 50th wedding anniversary, lovely meal, staff paid lots of attention.
K. H.
The food was gorgeous. I had the pork cheeks and my partner the filet steak. Waiter was not familiar with wine menu and could not offer a suggestion other that most expensive wine option or a "neutral" pinot noir. Wait staff are never the same! I would go back though...the food was great!
D. K.
The best lunch I ever had, friendly welcoming staff, nothing was too much bother and top food hygiene!
Will definitely visit again soon|
L. L.
Went out Friday night for dinner with family. We rang ahead to say we would be running 15 minutes late. Response was that would be OK.
On arrival seated quickly it took us over 10 minutes to decide on what we all wanted, in the interim we ordered drinks.
Food arrived my father who is 92 didn't enjoy the chicken it was dry and burnt uberneath and around the edges. My father is a slow eater. Plates cleared asked if we wanted tea or coffee told couldn't have desert because they needed the table. Not Good!
R. G.
Amazing food and a great atmosphere. Couldn't recommend enough. Portions aren't big but it's worth the money as it's really very good. The Bellini is also very good
T. K. -. T.
Starters were fantastic! Mains weren't quite at the same level. Staff were friendly but a bit too eager to continue returning to the table, repeatedly pouring water just tended to interrupt the flow of the conversation.
d. q.
An absolutely stunning display of culinary excellence combined with opulent surroundings come together in a splendid crescendo. Attentive yet unobtrusive staff make for an enjoyable experience.
I can wholeheartedly recommend, without doubt!
S. L.
this is a great addition to the village restaurant scene. the food is good, desserts fantastic and it's very reasonably priced.
N. W.
Afternoon tea that is amazing in look and taste and well balanced with price. Service was friendly, great waitress but at times the wider service was a little hectic and at times there were signs of disorganisation, not to be unexpected after 18 months of interrupted openings. Would have been nice to see the senior management team, who were visible but did not seem active, i.e. helping with simple items such as payment or checking in with tables.
N.
Fab place! Great espresso. Staff courteous and attentive
M. C.
Loved the food, staff were very attentative and lovely decor. My only complaint is like all posh restaurants, I still feel hungry when I leave as the main courses are not big enough. Nice little gesture at the end with the little cake, it was our anniversary. Thank you.
C. J.
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff nice well presented food.
W. R.
Fantastic ambience and vibe. Great food and service. Can get a little pricey.
D. N.
Excellent food and service. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, couldn't fault anything.
p. r.
Loved the food, service and ambience. Very vibrant and lively!
P. J.
Lovely service, great food.. very complicated menu
D. G.
Staff friendly and professional. Monk fish curry good, orange liver pate good. Parmesan truffle fries good but a fair few inedible shards at the bottom of the cup. Ordered a non alcoholic cocktail but was so full of ice with so little actual drink I sent it back. Three sips with an igloo of ice. Main dining room characterful with interesting corners and cubby holes but extra room up 2 flights of stairs a little disappointing but comparison. If looking for atmosphere you might resent a table there but otherwise might appreciate the quieter space. Music just on the verge of being too loud but not quite a problem.
R. W.
I absolutely loved it, best hospitality ever and food+drinks were amazing
D. C.
Food is really good but the service is definitely letting it down now. When it first opened the service was excellent but now it has lost the friendly and attentive service and it has been replaced with a cold and almost pretentious feel. Not welcoming or warm at all. Food is excellent though so if you don't mind the treatment then all good
P. J.
Always a pleasure to eat here be it breakfast lunch or dinner. Familiar menu (a more frequent update might be an idea) but good quality food and lovely service in this light and airy dining room.
M. k.
Wonderful lunch - we had blackened cod with parmesan and truffle chips. Perfectly cooked and delicious
Service was fantastic - attentive but not instrusive and ambience was great.
M. F.
Nice atmosphere, good quality food, excellent service and very reasonable price. Highly recommended
M. W.
Fantastic food and brilliant service!
M. S.
Exceptional service
Some places make you feel unwelcome as a mum so it was such a breath of fresh air to go to the Ivy (there was an exceptional female manager on duty). She was kind, considerate - gave us a table where we could park the pram out of the way and went over an beyond to make us feel welcome. I will be recommending the Ivy to my friends for all the upcoming brunches we will have on maternity leave...
P. a.
Managed to get in on 3rd time only without Bookikg table
M.
Great food and fantastic service in lovely surroundings. Worth treating yourself.
S. G.
I fell in love with the place. This is my second time visiting and first time dining. Lovely cosy back terrace with opening roof, excellent food (I took salmon with truffle mashed potatoes and frozen berries for dessert) and outstanding service. The truffle taste on mashed potatoes was too strong for me, so I couldn't finish it and our waiter offered complimentary coffee! Very nice! Dessert as well as coffee were great. Very clean and spacious bathrooms too and in general great atmosphere and feeling about the place. Already booked my next visit. <3
J. C.
Very busy (as you'd expect on a Friday evening). Excellent food and drink, the menu being identical to other Ivy franchises. Pleasant staff. Definitely worth visiting.

Great staff, and tasty food.
D. G.
Good friendly service and well presented tasty food.
R. S.
Its an amazing place good food and great atmosphere delicious English menus
T. D.
Great ambiance to enjoy brunch and coffee. Beautifully decorated
A. B.
Lovely staff; food was also amazing. The music and atmosphere really made for a great evening. The only thing I would point out is that there were no paper towels or hand dryer in the ladies bathroom which means you can’t dry your hands - not ideal. Apart from that a lovely experience.
D. W.
Busy smart and great service, very reasonable menu prices. Only drinking so couldn't comment on food but a really lovely place in good location.
M. M.
Pre pandemic we visited this restaurant several times with family and for romantic dinners. The food is always exceptional and service excellent. Wide choice of meat based and vegan meals which makes a change from other places. We have struggled at times to get good vegan meals and good meat based meals, it’s usually one good one and the other an afterthought. This place has got the balance just right. Cannot wait for the day we can visit again!
I. A.
Great food, service, ambience and experience; top marks!
j. s.
Excellent friendly service and food.A real treat.

Lovely afternoon tea, particularly the scones. Vegan tea very much enjoyed by my daughter. Pleasant, attentive waitress, Julietta.
D. G.
Had a lovely afternoon here. Staff are really lovely, polite and welcoming.

It’s the Ivy, what more can I say! Same high level service, and great staff and food.

Nice cafe!
Also good foods and tea coffee, especially I like IVY special gin tonic.
Beautiful and delicious taste, great!

Amazing food lovely ambience beautifully designed restaurant

Monday 14.09.20 Birthday meal out - not been before but it looked rather swish. Met promptly at door of this impressive facade , C19 checked on door and comfortably distanced in the rear dining area. Am not a lover of rowdy restaurants, so, this night is was pleasantly busy and lively without being intrusive. Waiter attention was spot on with detail to table setting very good . Luscious range to the menu , but I stayed with their traditional - but inventive dishes ( Sheperds Pie - Smoked Salmon to start ) very well presented with a stylish twist on ingredients . Drinks range was impressive to my eye, but the food is why you come -
Much better than dragging yourself into Town , these days ( 10 minutes on 93 Bus from Wimbledon Rail station , and am glad I did ) K

Love the Ivy but Wimbledon is my favourite branch.food is fantastic and the service is amazing
t. s.
Fabulous brunch! Elegant atmosphere & very substantial courses.
M. D.
Nicely decorated, love the silver coffee pots & cream jugs. Civilised atmosphere. 4 stars because a) my English muffin was soggy & not toasted, not pleasant with an otherwise delicious poached egg Royale brunch b) new staff in training. They were excellent. But the manager who publicly admonished a waiter for misplacing a pepper grinder should be mindful that his scolding impacts not just the poor member of staff concerned, but also those sat in the vicinity. A Sainsbury's top up shop being carried through the swanky lounge in plastic bags was also a slight puzzle.
J. H.
Beautiful breakfast in design led cafe. We ate in the garden out the back which was most pleasant with friendly professional staff
A. S. L.
Lovely cafe and restaurant with just the right old English atmosphere.
N. H.
Really nice food and a great experience. Feels classy without being too expensive
B. A.
Good food, but nothing amazing. Great setting and location, and the staff are very friendly.
S. D.
Great service. Food was excellent .
P. G.
Excellent place with outstanding food and service. Will be returning
S. T.
Delicious breakfast in Ivy Cafe, attentive staff highly recommended
H. D.
Had a wonderful evening here with my partner and family. Even though the restaurant was busy our food arrived quite quickly and we all loved our meals. I had the crispy duck salad to start which was refreshing and tasty, I thoroughly recommend it. The fish and chips were excellent. I adored the decor in the restaurant, and the staff were so helpful and really nice to chat to. Hoping to be back here in the future!
J. B.
Food and service always impeccable, I've dined at several restaurants and the experience has always been great.
A.
All the staff were outstanding, the premises clean and tidy.
J. L.
Friendly efficient staff. Good sized food portions...very rich. Thermometer check on entering. Hand sanitizers on table. 4 people cocktails, two bottles of rose, £230.
S. T.
Lovely restaurant decor, nice food, excellent service from entering till leaving.
Amazing charming guy served us called Jasper his service was impeccable, profesional, very attentive, polite & very educated..ON POINT.!
My wife and I will definitely return but with family and friends next time and on Jaspers shift..
Thanks to The Ivy cafe team @ wimbledon for making our day complete.
Hope you enjoy 'Mercedez world' as we did Jasper it's worth a visit.

We came in on a Saturday lunch time. We booked last minute as a nearby venue that we had previously booked decided to stop serving lunch due to covid, but did not alert us. We were celebrating a big event so we were beyond appreciative when The Ivy was able to fit us in last minute. We got to sit upstairs, which we LOVED, as it is quieter and more private than the rest of the restaurant. The staff was so kind and welcoming to us. We also were gifted a small congratulations desert from the staff, which was not expected but very appreciative.
The Ivy Cafe is a lovely place in Wimbledon and the menu is tasty and very moderately priced. A really, really wonderful celebratory brunch.
The Zucchini frittes are AMAZING.
we will be back!
N. K.
Great service and food.
A. H.
We had a great experience last night at The Ivy Wimbledon. Holly looked after us so well. She was super lovely and really cared about us having a great experience. Food was delicious too! Thank you for a great time. See you soon!
L. D.
Really lovely brunch, nice atmosphere and friendly staff
N. P.
Good food, great service.

Extraordinary place, friendly staff, amazing apple tart
D. B.
We used the upstairs room here for a private event. The food was delicious and thank you for to the lovely waiter who was so sweet with the kids!
F. Q.
Chic atmosphere, nice food, friendly staff. Highly recommend it.
A. M.
Popped in for lunch on Friday. No idea why they call it a cafe. Same menu as Chelsea.
Beautiful space, solid quality food, great drinks. I suggest they relocate the asthmatic waitress to ground floor duty to save her running up and down the stairs to get food and drink all the time. Sweet little thing.
J. B.
Food was excellent but say too close to other tables and noisy
A. P.
Lovely decor and very nice food. The monkfish curry was delicious!
Staff are very polite and prompt. Well recommended
S. F.
Amazing food. The lobster pasta was, according to my wife and daughter, the best they've had. My very picky 2 year old finished off 2 starter portions of the prawn and calamari. The only disappointing item was, surprisingly, the chips. But maybe that was because everything else was of such a high standard. The service was unobtrusive but ever present.
D. T.
Not as good as the one in Soho. It retains the great decor. Dishes did not blow me away as much, which was a shame and I found it odd as it is the same group. Waiter forgot our aperitif standing on a trolley with us chasing him to say it was ours, and did not follow our request not to bring starters straight away. I think the staff is a bit too stressed out and you can feel it when your table is next to the point where orders are recorded and plates brought from the kitchen (location to avoid). We may go back for a better experience but circumstances of the evening were not amazing and for what you pay.... You can do better!
M. B.
Excellent food, with great service.
A. S.
Really good food, lovely friendly staff and overall a wonderful atmosphere. The only downside is some of the items on the menu are priced more than they should be to be honest. Apart from that, great place to eat out with friends and family!
F. T.
Celebrating my daughter's exam results. We had a very attentive waiter. He was fab.
With out our knowledge even got her a little cake with "congratulations" on it. Couldn't ask for better service.
Although my coffee in silverware was warm not hot and my salmon was warm not cold as you would expect it.
Apart from that my daughter enjoyed her experience.

Had booked breakfast here before heading to the Tennis, very nice setting and reasonable prices. Unfortunately things started to go awry when the poached eggs that arrived were rock solid. To their credit they quickly replaced the dish with eggs that were cooked to perfection and still runny. The food and drinks itself was very nice, however we did have to wait quite a while for our coffee's and had to remind the waiting staff. Once our bill was presented we weren't happy to pay the suggested service and asked for it to be removed along with the poached eggs. The waitress seemed a bit miffed by this and returned with a new bill with the service removed. Long story short we ended up speaking to the manager who agreed that it hadn't been handled in the expected way and ending up refunding all our meals to ensure we would visit again. Had it been handled like this from the start by the staff then there would be no complaints. No harm done but all a bit of a faff in the end.
k.
Lovely food but very average service... definitely NOT worth the 12.5% discretionary service charge. 30 minutes to clear our plates and once we had the dessert menus another 25 min wait to be asked if we wanted anything - this despite the waitress walking past the table five times and looking at us without reacting. Service? not in this case.
N. D.
Excellent service superb choice and quality of food. Delectable choice of wines. Not a single empty table. However a disabled friend found negotiating the stairs to the rest rooms difficult and required assistance.
J.
We visited this Ivy Cafe for lunch and were lucky enough to eat in the small area outside after requesting a change of table. The food (we had set lunch menu), staff and service were all excellent, we will be back!
C. S.
Perhaps choosing The Ivy Cafe during Christmas party season was not the best idea. Unfortunately this was not the best experience. When we arrived outside the restaurant, there was litter all around the entrance, not what we expected. Our table wasn't ready inspite of booking 3 weeks in advance so we were seated at the bar. Just before our drinks were served our table was ready and the waitress remembered to ask us for our coats to put in cloakroom (this should have been done at the welcome). We were then informed the black cod (my favourite) was not available. The noise in the restaurant was unbearable - really loud cackling women - as was the music which was stuck on a repeat beat and none of the staff noticed until we pointed it out to them. The food was delicious although one of the main meals was missing the rice as it fell to the floor with a crash before it reached our table. It did eventually arrive shortly before the end of the main course though. The service was excellent but the busyness of the restaurant did affect the overall enjoyment of our meal. Overall too busy, too impersonal and too rushed, surely not what we expected from this establishment. Sadly disappointing.
A. E.
Great food and service. One little thing. I often arrive on my own and I'm quite happy sitting on my own waiting for my friend but it would be nice to be offered a drink! Last visit I felt like I was ignored til my friend arrived, no-one came to offer me a drink as I waited which made it feel less enjoyable. Be extra nice (or even just as nice) to people who arrive on their own!!
P. W.
Went for breakfast which is served up to 11.00 at the Weekend before the brunch menu takes over. Brunch is lunch with one or two concessions to a late breakfast. Weekdays breakfast is until 11.30 - I wonder if they should either make breakfast last longer at the weekend OR have a more hybrid menu as the place seemed to empty between 11.30 and 12.30.
The breakfast options are quite wide-ranging and good quality and not that expensive - what really makes the Ivy Cafés good is the exemplary service - other chains aspiring to greatness should learn from that. A really good experience.
P. P.
Had a fabulous time today. Our waiter, Melvin, was superb. A really happy celebration.
D. H.
I've always liked this place. Good location, always beautifully decorated for Christmas and Wimbledon tennis. Busy. Trendy crowd gathers there. Modern British cuisine. Very delicious dishes. Friendly staff. What more can you wish for? I suppose it is a good idea to book in advance.
C. R.
The location for this restaurant is fantastic, it seems to be very popular so it's very hard to get tables at 'peak times.' The 'front of house' staff at the door and those walking around in red attire seem to give off slightly snooty attitudes. The waiting staff are mostly super friendly. It's rather odd to see individuals struggling awkwardly in floaty dresses, tottering in heels, brandishing their bowling hats to eat a meal on a saturday afternoon in a location that is not 'The Ritz.' The ambiance and interiors are excellent, reminiscent of a 90's French cafe. The food is pretty good - the shepherd's pie - excellent but rather small in portion size. The burger - quite decent too but not worth the hype.
S. S.
Beautiful restaurant. Attentive staff (just enough). Great food. The duck liver parfait is smooth and creamy goes perfectly with the toasted brioche. The cod in banana leaf is also nice with pink juicy flesh. Definitely will come back. If you need to park, lots of pay&display parking spaces 5hrs max in lancaster road.
R. N.
Excellent food and friendly service
M. F.
Really cozy place. You can have the menu for a reasonable price. Very attentive and professional waiters (some of them native Spanish speakers).
You better make a reservation before you go, even though we were lucky and have a table without one 😊
It's my favourite restaurant in Wimbledon by far 💕 You cannot miss it
S. D.
Lovely chicken dish very large and tasty. Will defiantly be back again.
W. H.
I normally really enjoy going to The Ivy Cafe for brunch and last Friday I went there for dinner for Valentines with my partner. The food was really nice, no complaints about that, but I was made very uncomfortable at the beginning of the evening by the waitress making a comment on that we didn't need a boyfriend there with us on Valentines and that she thought it was good that we just go with friends. It made me and my girlfriend very uncomfortable and I don't think you should make these assumptions a la 2020. The whole evening we were very aware of our surroundings, and acted like we were friends, because it became so awkward.
K. G.
Lovely eggs royale, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Decor is amazing (especially the toilets!!) Would definitely return.
V. J.
We attended on Sunday 7th August for a birthday afternoon, champagne-tea. There were a number of issues which did not go smoothly, though the food was excellent. The manager listened and made every effort to put right the difficulties we encountered without fuss or embarrassment to us. The decor, ambience and food are 5 star. Else we had a great time on the terrace which is prettier and quieter, in our eyes. We were spoken to politely and enthusiastically by all the staff.
S. S.
Great service as usual by Ivy, my black cod was delicious, green beans with almonds was fresh and crunchy. Nothing is too true for the staff, will visit again !!
L. P.
Amazing food and well priced .
I. A.
A pleasant experience overall.
Food was delicious and the service couldn't be faulted. An ideal venue to meet friends or work colleagues at day time. Reserving a table is wise as this place gets busy especially at day time.
J. A.
Lovely decor & friendly atmosphere. Just had a birthday lunch here. Service & food impeccable & cocktails amazing. Would recommend
Y.
A lovely restaurant outside and stunning interior. Staff seemed to meet and greet very professionally but rushed and judgemental. Food was okay.
I had the tuna ceviche for starters which tasted great, my only comment is that they put this horrible crispy vegetable thing on top which had an awful taste and texture. Would have been better without, and for something that isn’t the highlight of the dish, there was a lot of it.
Had the crab linguine for main, which tasted good. Doesn’t quite hit the spot , it’s like it’s missing a kick. Crab was boiled and shredded on top, was okay. But I’ve had better in places like Al forno and Carluccios for a cheaper price.
The wine was great, had the Merlot which prices at I believe £35 a bottle so it’s an average wine for a slightly steep price for what it is.
We were seated opposite the bar on a side table which was very square, quite small, and the walkway was uncomfortable to sit at because people were walking past all the time. I had gone to have a catch up dinner with a friend I haven’t seen in a while, and it was incredible distracting to have people walk past constantly. I guess when you book a table for two, they just throw you anywhere instead of giving you a table that is comfortable. Any space is money right? The waiter we had was quite grumpy, he seemed to be rushing us to order and rushing us to get dessert and leave. Even though we had a whole bottle of wine to go through. He even spilled the wine on the table whilst topping up our glasses , didn’t return to clean it up. Which I thought was very unprofessional. I think about 5 waiters asked us what dessert we wanted when we had already told our main waiter that we needed time as we were full from mains. Me and my friend look quite young and we were dressed quite casually for the restaurant vibe , but we did feel like they were judging us and just wanted us out.
In the end we finished our wine quickly through dessert and left to go to a cosier bar, as the waiter who gave us the bill told us “you have this table for 10 more minutes”. By this point it was 9pm maybe ? I thought it was quite rude. I wouldn’t go back to be honest. There are plenty of other restaurants in wimbledon worth your money and won’t kick you out ..
J. M.
One of the most amazing food experiences I've had in a long long time! I was so overwhelmed by the great service since we entered that I went for pre-drinks, then we ordered nibbles, more wine and we ended up having a full blown 4 course meal. Everything was remarkable- the quality and taste of the food, the attention to details, the overall experience. Absolutely fantastic!
M. S.
Not sure what happened with the previous reviewer, but the entire staff was friendly and accommodating, despite the fact that we did not have a reservation. Our waitress was warm and pleasant.
In terms of the food, we enjoyed the ribeye steak, chicken breast, zucchini fries, peas, broccoli, and the Chocolate bomb--all was great!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place--it was great, even for a picky American--like me!
A. P.
I would have given more stars but the receptionist was incredibly rude. We were there for lunch on Saturday. The receptionist must have got out of bed the wrong side that morning as she has no idea how to be polite to customers!!! Another downside was that we had to wait for 15 minutes for our table. However, the food was excellent - a little hot in the conservatory if you get to sit under a heater! It was a great shame that the receptionist was so miserable and our waiter was not particularly friendly either! Oh well!
L. P.
To give a picture of dining during covid. Temp taken at the door, sanitiser on the table, tables reasonably spread out. However staff not in masks, which I'm aware isn't the law but they weren't distancing to make up for that. Menus weren't single use. My water glass had someone else's lipstick on it which was particularly concerning! Food was nice but 5 things weren't available. Had to ask to see the set menu. Disappointing though food was nice.
G. M.
Absolutely marvelous, both service and food are always top. Inexplicably, better quality, bigger portions and lower price than Megan's down the road! A must go if you are in the area and looking for a meal.
B. C.
A wonderful place to go for brunch or dinner. Delicious food, beautiful decor and attentive staff. We recently brought our 6 month old here and they were very accommodating. Thoroughly recommend!
C. S.
Very nice place with the staff being very efficient and pleasant, the food I had was very fresh but the burger meat was a little dry. But overall I didn't let that spoil the enjoyment I had! The wine is very nice as well!
N. B.
Beautiful venue, amazing menu and attentive staff. Only thing that let's it down is it did feel a bit like we were stuffed in like sardines, particularly with the current pandemic they could have done with leaving some empty tables around .
J. F.
This is a nice place for a celebration or bit of self indulgence. Certainly not cheap, but food good and service attentive in a sumptuous environment
J. R.
Great food, but not really vegan friendly - despite calling in advance to check and being reassured that there would be options. If this isn't a concern for you then the experience should be a good one. Great service, tasty food and not too crazy expensive.
A. C.
Fabulous food, service and buzzy atmosphere the perfect place for a Bank Holiday brunch
T. S. B.
Despite the pub's menu, I have to admit, the fish pie was really something exceptional and can't be found in a pub. As usual, the service has been excellent. So why only 3 stars??? Well, we had the misfortune to sit in the extended part of the brasserie, where the table was like a kids table, and the heating system was the typical electric patio heaters very popular within the pubs. To save our heads from being burnt, we asked to lower the electric heater and we end up eating with cold feet and legs... if you position your business within a certain level, you shouldn't have these sort of tables....
M. C.
Gorgeous and very friendly. Highly recommended
J. K.
Good food, great staff but surprised they actually close early.....well 11pm..ish I suppose is reasonable but when you have your drinking head on and your no trouble it's usually a nice earner for the restaurant.
That said we had a lovely evening but please don't expect to come out with less than £50-60 per head.
M. P.
Exceptionally nice. Had a fabulous evening there. Just a little pricey. Would of been 5 stars but for the VFM
S. D.
We've been going to the Ivy for breakfast for long time, and the service has always been good, only thw last time we went there that wasn't very good, cold coffee, cold food, long wait.
O. H.
Our go to place for a spot of breakfast/brunch in the Village. Zucchini Fries are amazing, if you visit you have to try them! I had the Fish and Chips here last time as well (not in beer batter which is perfect for us!) and I really enjoyed it! Lots of other options too. Most breakfast items are nice and overall great quality.
N. A.
A pleasant experience overall.
Food was delicious and the service couldn't be faulted. An ideal venue to meet friends or work colleagues at day time. Reserving a table is wise as this place gets busy especially at day time.
J. Y.
Lovely food in a beautiful restaurant but the service was a little indifferent. Still recommended but you'll definitely need to book at busy times as the unreserved space at the bar is limited. Great cocktails, too (best Espresso Martini I've tasted).
R. C.
Visited on 30th December, around 18:30.
Greeted when we entered having not booked and were seated at the bar due to no tables being available.
After a short wait, we were shown to a table at the front of the restaurant which was nice.
Service was fairly good and attentive, atmosphere was also nice.
We both had rib eye steak, chips with a bottle of red wine.
The majority of the meal was great, however my steak was poor quality and contained about 30% grissle making it inedible. I wasn't offered a new steak as had finished rest of meal by the time I got to mention the issue.
Deserts were great, couldn't complain about those.
At the end I was given a desert free to compensate for the steak, so around 30% discount on steak itself.
Definitely not a bad place to eat... But very pricy for what you get, and would have expected a bit above and beyond for the steak issue when you're paying £30 for a cut.
V. C.
Went for my birthday for a Tuesday lunch. Had champagne, the butternut squash main and ice cream for pudding. Loved the experience and food was amazing. We would have been the perfect people to keep the bubbles coming but weren't offered anything, only to drop the food off - thus 4 stars
N. เ.
Nice decorating - great food
J. T.
The meal was very nice and enjoying. The service was great to. We had someone go out and try to get us a black taxi but no one came.
A. G.
Went here for the first time and although the food smelt and tasted delicious I felt that my friends and I were made to feel like we were lucky to be here rather than the other way around, I can see why it gets so busy but with any establishment I think that everyone should be treated the right way from the point of walking through the door till the time they leave. I would also like to say that the manager was very helpful. Having said that I would recommend the Ivy cafe in wimbledon to others, and hope they get a better service.
n. “. h.
The venue was very arty and relaxing. The food was a high standrard in quality and flavour. The prices for Wimbledon Village were very reasonable and competitive.
The staff were extremely helpful, attentive and very friendly. I will have to go again
A. S.
Great meal in very comfortable surroundings
J. C.
Utterly superb. A masterclass. Wonderful service, delicious food, great value . Tremendous atmosphere. The cocktail waiters at the bar are a blast, really good chaps. Utterly brilliant.
A. P.
Brunch for the second visit to the Ivy cafe. Expectations were on the high side and were duly met. Service could be better but it's splitting hairs.
The food is top draw & attention to detail leaves you understanding why Gordon Ramsay's reputation for quality is deserved.
J. B.
Excellent 👍. Lovely meals and drinks. Very nice and helpful staff.
M. Y.
Decor is interesting and fresh, service is attentive as expected of the Ivy brand. Food is average but better than most all day dining in Wimbledon Village. Surprisingly difficult to book for Friday lunch so book early or sit at the bar. Impressive place to entertain elderly guests or teenage children for special occasions. Otherwise it looks to me a place for ladies who lunch or ex politicians.
J. S.
Very nice food & a lovely atmosphere too. The staff were lovely.
K. O.
My partner and I visited on a Saturday evening for a date night. The food was exceptionally good and the service was the best we have had in London for a long time. Our waiter was very attentive and bought a smile to our faces. Highly recommended.
J. H.
The last time I visited The Ivy in Wimbledon Village I had the most delicious brunch with a friend. It was so enjoyable over the two hour time slot you are allowed. Great choice of breakfast items both for non vegetarian and vegetarian customers all served in a relaxing atmosphere with very amicable and attentive staff. A little more pricey than say Cote for a similar experience but if you want to rock the boat out then well worth the extra pennies. I love the decor in their restaurants. It is very chic and the food is of the highest quality. Would go again at any time of day.
J. M.
It kills me to say it but this restaurant is a terrible representation of The Ivy, l would hope that the HQ will step in at somepoint.
Its so convenient that I have gone quite a lot in the last year and the service is shocking.
Anytime we have had problems with the food the staff just do not care. I complained about my burger being dry and overcooked three times and there was no offer to exchange it or take it off the bill. Each time you get waited on by anything from 3-7(! Yes actually 7) people.
If it's busy you are rushed through your meal, if its quiet, you have to go to the bar or front door for service or gesticulate wildly, even then they will generally make ypu feel bad for inconveniencing them.
We went there around 8 times in July including twice on one say as it was my birthday and everytime treated like a stranger, compared to our local italian who when we went in for the first time in 3 years, remembered us and were pleased to see us, it makes a difference to the atmosphere massively.
I will probably stick to The Ivy City Garden or the original from now on. But in saying that... when they get it right the food is brilliant.
K. M.
Beautiful place, lovely art deco design. It also has a conservatory with heaters. We went here for a birthday lunch. The food was really nice. we had the calamari and arancini for starters. Wr had the fish cake which was yum. We also had the french dip sandwich was bigger than we thought it would be and was very nice. Recommend booking as it is often busy.
L. C.
Very nice looking restaurant. Nice food... not bad at all, but I was expecting the cuisine to be a bit more elaborated with a bit more taste and not only based on presentation. I would go back and take friends there but more for the place than the food.
N. F. (. O.
Delicious food, friendly stuff, beautiful location
J. S.
Lovely place. Great service and wonderful food. Chef was kind enough to make a vegetarian salad on the go. If you are looking for a venue to host tea and scones type of birthday it is a definite yes.
H. D.
Amazing lovely Afternoon Tea on New Years Eve and they brought out a mini cake for my sister's Birthday . 100% recommend this lovely cafe and the staff are lovely and so attentive xxx
g. b.
A pleasant experience and great service. The only critic is the monkfish curry lacked a little bit of flavour.
K. J.
Highly recommended for lunch or dinner. You will almost certainly need to book as it can get busy. Wheelchair users note that there is a ramp available to get up the steps at the entrance and staff were trained to use it correctly.
J. L.
Had a dinner in the private room for a surprise birthday last night.
I must say from the organisation side from the events team ( Charlotte) to the staff on the night Julien and Carl. They were so attentive and everything went really smoothly! Really good experience. Highly recommend for a group dinner!
C. G.
Excellent food, good portions and the prices aren't too bad either. It can get busy on the weekend so plan for that. The staff are generally friendly although they can be brusque.
Y. C.
Our first time at the Wimbledon ivy food great service good lovely place will be back
K. M.
Had early dinner here and food was good. I'd recommend but beware of the skinny bartender. He was a little intrusive and nosy. Our waiter on the other hand, was good.
M. G.
Very impressed at their efforts to provide a COVID safe environment. The staff were super attentive and we enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with our family.
A. B.
Great food and atmosphere.
The service from Andonis was excellent and much appreciated by my family
M. E.
So this was an impromptu visit to this venue offering British cuisine. We were enthusiastically welcomed by the front desk host and quickly seated without a booking at 0915hrs. The menus were quickly down at the table as we were tended to by a very positive waiter with lots of Medeterranian character. We ordered the mandatory Americanos with hot milk on the side which didn't take long to arrive. The flavour was full bodied and aromatic, in summary, a morning joy.
As we waited for our breakfasts to show up it was interesting to observe the clientelle: predominantly West coast American with Californian intonation, or the British "yummy mummy" variety. This was no surprise considering the location, and the venue type and offerings. The decor was quaint, with several dog paintings, had me wondering about the history of the space. It was very well naturally lit. It was also apparent that The Ivy and Côte had effectively displaced Cafe Rouge in the market. There was a similar feel to the two former venues, which led me to think as to whether they have the same owner.
The breakfasts landed, and surprisingly the hollandaise sauce was light, not inducing a rush of bowel movement which it has potential to trigger. The eggs were perfectly poached, the yolk delicately soaking into the English muffin. The service continued to be attentive, but not intrusive.
We were fortunate to be concluding our meals and drinks just as the bulk of patrons were arriving for their 1000hrs reservations. A very favourable experience overall.
F. G.
This place is lovely. Great service, friendly staff and delicious menu. I am giving only 4 stars because my poached eggs was over cooked and not running I was was expecting to be.
I do recommend this place if you are looking for something special!
T. W.
Lovely place, service is great and the food of a very high standard.

Wonderful food and service. Lovely restaurant and great for a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

From the time we walked into the Ivy to the time we left we could not have asked for better service. The food was great, & we were looked after by the waiter very well. We would definitely visit the Ivy again & recommend it.

I just had the best breakfast I've eaten for years! On top of that, the service, setting, attention to detail, and prices (taking all those things into account) were excellent. I can hardly wait to go back!
M. G.
Expensive - 2 coffees, 2 pastries £30.00

Classic Upper end Sunday roast environment. Very good service and reasonable prices. The bread is great, tuna tartare amazing, roast beef sandwich delicious. You cannot be too casual.
E. T.
Our server Jasper could not have been more delightful or accommodating. We just had a light afternoon cream tea with scones. Food, service, and atmosphere were all charming.
J. H.
The Ivy is a bit like an English version of café rouge. The food is good quality well presented and the service is attentive without being too intrusive. We only went for breakfast but are planning to go back for an evening meal.
T. R.
One of my old time favourites in Wimbledon. They serve my favourite Champagne, Laurent Pierre! A lady can't resist a glass or two of LP 😉
D. C. C.
the staff there are really friendly with you and the service is quick. There food is seriosly good quality and the place has a nice atmosphere. this is a excellent place to go for a meal with friends or family. Recomended that if you want to come you need to book quite early because it is very hard getting a table there because it is very good. I am rating this place 5 star which is very good for a restraunt and i hope it doesnt get shutdown.

Got taken here for brunch. Very nice food. Great service.
C. T.
My first visit to the Ivy in Wimbledon. Absolutely superb food and staff. Hope I visit again soon
D. H.
Fabulously surprised by the whole experience, the food was excellent and our waiter AJ provided the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. I can't recommend it enough and will be returning regularly.

The food was lovely and the atmosphere was great however (apologetically) they made us give up the table for another party even though we were on time and still within our allotted time ... we still had our drinks to finish so went to the bar which was way too rammed to even stand at. A bit disappointing I'm afraid!

I was generally disappointed with my experience at The Ivy Wimbledon: food and staff, although decor and ambience was lovely. We booked a table for four people for a 30th birthday at 9.30pm. On arrival we were shown to a table which we asked to change for a nicer setting, but was told that was where we were to be even though there were plenty of free tables. We ordered our starters and mains from the waiter, which although were delivered in good time we're extremely salty. From the moment we arrived, the general feeling was, quick quick as you can, so no one dared complain after the check back was done incase we might not get our food in time. As our mains were served, the waiter said that we should order deserts immediately as the kitchen would be closing shortly, although we were lead to believe it closed at 11pm. Not ordering anything else as we weren't sure how we would feel, once mains were cleared we finished our drinks. At half 11.30pm we were promptly told we had to leave. Being a restaurant manager myself, I asked why. "Because by law we can not have people here after 11.30pm, you all have to leave"!!
Having been in hospitality for almost 20 years and living in Wimbledon Village too, I was shocked and also have never heard of this law.
Normally for a birthday, the restaurant would produce a dessert on the house, or something with a candle at least. Unhappy looking staff, sour notes and a show out of the door was not what I expected, least of all from the Ivy.
What a disappointment as we could have gone somewhere else and felt more comfortable

Lovely cream tea!

Nice, bright, interesting wall art. Very courteous service. Nicely presented food. Nice atmosphere. Look forward to my next visit.

The ivy burger and beer are fantastic and the service is as good as expected. You certainly pay for it, but compared to the average pricing in the area, its not that bad at all.
T. S. B.
Despite the pub's menu, I have to admit, the fish pie was really something exceptional and can't be found in a pub. As usual, the service has been excellent. So why only 3 stars??? Well, we had the misfortune to sit in the extended part of …

Had booked breakfast here before heading to the Tennis, very nice setting and reasonable prices. Unfortunately things started to go awry when the poached eggs that arrived were rock solid. To their credit they quickly replaced the dish with …

Excellent lunch

The location for this restaurant is fantastic, it seems to be very popular so it's very hard to get tables at 'peak times.' The 'front of house' staff at the door and those walking around in red attire seem to give off slightly snooty …

We attended on Sunday 7th August for a birthday afternoon, champagne-tea. There were a number of issues which did not go smoothly, though the food was excellent. The manager listened and made every effort to put right the difficulties we …

Really great, worth it for a special occasion and the service was great. Food was amazing!

As expected having visited the Kensington Ivy, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service impeccable, the ambiance was relaxed, and I was transported out of my busy day into a very welcome escape. Thank you to the team at Wimbledon Village.

First time here but i was recommended and what a great recommendation it was. My wire and I still have date nights - we could be regarded as a mature couple!!- anyway before the mayhem of Christmas takes over we chose The Ivy in Wimbledon. Great greeting on arrival and a wonderful atmosphere as we were taken to our table. Waitress was helpful chatty and witty. We ordered cocktails fab. Starters of pate and tempura prawn and squid main of Monkfish Curry - very tasty and a steak pudding that was the best i have had down south btw. Brandy instead of pudding as too full!! Wonderful evening thank you and see you again soon.
N. D.
What a great night out. The food was exquisite, cocktails fantastic and service was exemplary.

Best meal I've had in my 2 years living in London!
Absolutely amazing
F. P.
Wonderfully accommodating & friendly. Good food. Toilets ALL seem upstairs, however.
Not so sure I'd take a friend with mobility issues there.
L. 7.
Such a gorgeous place with beautiful decor and friendly staff. Their steak is amazing and the courgette fries are pure genius 👌
A. B.
Really lovely place! Staff was so nice and the food as well! Portions were a tad small but apart from that I have no complaints
A. V. S. G.
The service was great but the food this time wasn't as good as it has been in previous occasions.
h. m.
Delicious! Duck salad and lobster risotto were gorgeous....you must order the sour dough bread .... you get a whole, warm mini loaf which is out of this world. Will def return
R. L.
It was fabulous. The staff were very polite & attentive. We were ridiculously early but our table was ready. The food, ambiance & just about everything was amazing :-)
D. P.
The ivy burger and beer are fantastic and the service is as good as expected. You certainly pay for it, but compared to the average pricing in the area, its not that bad at all.
R. T.
As always the service at The Ivy is great and the food menu is excellent. It is not as good as the real deal, but that is to be expected. However, no complaints about our lunch visit
M. P.
Great food, excellent service, a little pricy (expected), easy to find, no car park nearby (as far as I know) and a 10-15 minute walk from Wimbledon station.
W. I. W.
Loved it. Fully accommodating a coeliac, fantastic gluten free food, impeccable service and very reasonable price. Really worth a visit.
C. S.
A well-established part of the Ivy "Café" sub-brand. And none the worse for it, with the usual very attentive staff, and consistently good food. But this particular "Ivy" is probably smaller than is ideal, and so there is pressure on tables at the weekend etc. And the bar is also smaller than usual, and really acts as a glorified glass and crockery washing station.
M. D.
I had the pleasure to have lunch today in the ivy wimbleton .wow first time it was wonderful so welcoming g.wonderful staff very professional service .
The menu had do many choices .fast service wonderful food. Loved every minute cant wait to return on the 8 th February for afternoon tea. What a special place so quiet and relaxing .thank youu
M. W.
Excellent food that is not too fussy. Even breakfast was perfectly done.
D. M.
One of my favourite restaurants in Wimbledon. Have been a number of times. Over the years. Creme brulee is one the best I've ever had. The cocktails and drinks menu are amazing. Peach bellini you have to try
B. B.
Great dinner and the service is fantastic. Really fun night out and felt very safe with all the extra’s they have put on for COVID.
T. S.
This is a great local place to go for breakfast or brunch. They have a good selection of vegetarian options and it is reasonably priced. My only slightly pedantic complaint is that when it is busy I sometimes find I am slightly rushed.
g. h.
The reason to go to the Ivy was that the premises were Barclays Bank & I worked there as an employee. Wanted to have a look around. The premises were lovely though i was disappointed with the food not the quality but the fact that when I ordered my food I was not offered veg or potatoes. My meal consisted of just a piece of chicken dry chicken. So for that reason I had to mark down.
K. S.
Amazing food and great venue. Well looked after as a coeliac.
S. N.
Nice, bright, interesting wall art. Very courteous service. Nicely presented food. Nice atmosphere. Look forward to my next visit.

Amazing service, gorgeous food.
C. S.
Lovely food, good service and buzzy atmosphere
S. R.
Excellent food and service, and great cocktails.
C. J.
I went to the Ivy cafe for breakfast this morning and received absoulte first class service and to top it all off the food was also INCREDIBLE! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect dinning experience in the Wimbledon Area!!!! Thank you very much! And Alfonso our waiter was wonderful!!
M. D.
Perfect meal cannot fault it
C. C.
Classic! Only thing I would recommend to improve is the coffee, the taste is out of date, they should change coffee beans... many many nice coffee shops in Wimbledon area does better coffee than Ivy.
S. E.
The place looks great the staff are willing and courteous it has all the ingredients to be good..
Sadly for me it's was a bit of a let down ..
Having dined in other uptempo Ivy establishments before there is a distinct lack of atmosphere in this one .(maybe wimblebonians are a shy & reserved bunch )
The food we had was disappointingly absolutely average. Our order of sides /starters zucchini fries were ok but the wasabi prawns & squid were fairly tasteless and cold.
The minute steak ordered was chewy & bland the eggs on top were good though . The roast chicken dish dry but at least had some taste.
So..Just to make sure I mayhe had suffered a one off bad night there
I went for breakfast 2 days later and suffered the fate of almost warm eggs Benedict and warm toast
I don't know what as I was expecting (and of course I only sampled a small part of the food offering) but I think a bit more ..lets hope it's just newly opened teathing problems
D. W.
I love dining here. There is always a buzz. Food is not groundbreaking but everything on the menu is done superbly. This is a relatively inexpensive dining experience in understated elegance.

Vibrant, colourful and exciting setting for beautifully presented delicious Eggs Benedict, Creme Brule and more. Staff are so helpful, attractive and eager to help. as they did as we had no booking. We stayed within our limit and all was AoK

Wonderful food, excellent atmosphere and brilliant service

One of my favourite. We celebrated my friend’s 30th Birthday.. the staff were very attentive and great food as always .
k. a.
Delicious pancake, amazing eggs benedict. So much better than Megan's next door. My go to place for breakfast.
P. G.
The greeting at the door was less than welcoming but, once inside, the food and service is up to the very high Ivy standard.
J. C.
Fantastic place food was wonderful
K. K.
Beautiful food (extensive menu) at fair prices. The terrace - while small - it's gorgeous. I highly recommend this place.
S. M.
Great food and ambience would defo go again.
E. N.
A great place to experience Wimbledon at its best! Breakfast is great and the service is very good. I'm always a fan of Eggs Royale but the English Breakfast is brilliant too!
C. H.
No where near as prestiges as the ivy in london. Staff friendly but we were forgotten on a few occasions. They did apologise. Cakes melted under the heaters in the conservatory, scones dry and conservatory leaked with thunderstorms.
S. N.
Very nice, high quality and attentive service. Food was delicious and reasonably priced considering the quality of the restaurant.
E. H.
Nice venue but staff seem to be slow and pay little attention.
P. A.
As always, great service and lovely food, even personal hand sanitiser sprays at the table. What more could you ask for?!
A. A. C. S.
What a lovely evening spent at the Ivy! I really enjoyed the mozzarella, chicken bourguignon and amazing chocolate bomb! We will definitely be visiting again!
K. D.
Such a lovely venue, great food and service. We had the creme brûlée for desert which was absolutely incredible. Would definitely go again!
C. W.
Really enjoyable lunch as always
C. L.
Attended a birthday party in the private room upstairs. Food was delicious and waiting staff were super attentive, with nothing being too much trouble for them.
I. S.
The food was really good, the staff really polite and friendly with really good service. I really liked the place, cosy and cute.
L. W.
Love this restaurant! Great ambience and delicious food. All four of us loved it. I can't wait to go back already.
P. O.
Food ok. Staff not so. Had a very rude waiter. Was our Golden Wedding lunch with our family. Not made to feel welcome.
p. s.
Cannot recommend this enough - great food, great service, great atmosphere - A crown on the head of wimbledon village. Only downside is the parking! (Not that ANYONE in the village has ever heard that before, am i right?)
S. W.
delicious food with wonderful presentation , attentive friendly staff
L. C.
The food here is amazing. The decor is even better! They have special decor for Easter and Christmas! Recommend to all.
P. S.
A wonderful experience, with a friendly, attentive team looking after you. Always a treat. Thank you
M. R.
What a treat to sneak in one last meal before lockdown. I'm still dreaming about the white onion soup... so delicious
C. B.
Love it! Always very consistent and out waiter was lovely and very encouraging with the cocktails.... that's my idea of great service!
P. S.
The greeter on the door was a little brusque, if not rude, so we nearly walked away but the food was excellent so overall it was a good place for a quick lunch.
C. G.
Steak tartare i cant get enough of. Staff always incredible. Thanks ivy
A. W.
We've been here many times, never a disappointment. Love it here... Staff are amazing and make the place.
M. D.
Nice place for special lunch/dinner. Staff excellent and food good quality and choice. Their shepherd's pie is legendary.
R.
I've been to many good restaurants around the world! I really enjoyed the service & food here! They've kept 'The Ivy Standard'
R. M.
Service was fantastic, food delicious and the salted caramel espresso martini best cocktail ever 🤩
G. D.
Wonderful restaurant cafe with a lovely ambience. The food is delicious and the service impecable. Being very popular, it is very difficult to book a table in the evening.
P. S.
I like this place because of its decor and food but the service is a bit slow. And you have to book in advance. Another problem is parking nearby, only one hour is allowed.
M. B.
Food i feel is fairly normal and probably a bit over priced. Service was good and everything felt clean. Good location too.
S. H.
Had lunch here, not the cheapest but the service and food was worth it. Good gin cocktails. I will try supper here next to see how that is.
S. B.
Delicious food and very reasonably priced... be aware that special requests that are made on opentable don't always get passed onto the restaurant so make sure to call.
A. W.
Food was absolutely delish....
My grandad brang me as he has been a few times...
I would definitely recommend.
S. s.
Really nice place, atmosphere has a nice hustle and bustle ... always welcome walk ins and offers a lovely afternoon tea
E. A.
The place has a good vibe and the service is friendly. Unfortunately the food was not so good and was just ok. Won't be returning soon.
P.
Wonderful food and good service.
R. V.
Awesome breakfast gold service, a bit disorganised in the reservations, called to make a reservation and the guy said yes but the reservation was not there when I visited. They sorted it out and gave us a table anyway but it should not me my responsibility.
T. L.
Fabulous birthday celebration lunch. Good food and drink. Great service. Thank you.
S. K.
Excellent! We really enjoyed celebrating my husband's birthday - the food and service were spot on. Thank you
e. d.
Delicious breakfast, ambiance is lovely, service was a little slow especially as they were not that busy.
F. C.
A spacious and large restaurant. Well staffed and seating comfortably arranged. Very busy and food nicely presented.
A. K.
Good ambience and service, but not matched by the quality of the food in our experience Starters were good but we were both disappointed with our mains.
J. R.
The food was amazing!! The staff were attentive and friendly.
S. N.
Great service and delicious food. We had the shepherd's pie and fish and chips.
J. L.
Just what we needed in Wimbledon. Great for an up-market brunch with friends before a walk on the common. Very attentive service & fantastic eggs Benedict!
S. W.
Beautiful decor, a lovely ambience and amazing staff.
C. B.
Part of the ever sprawling group. Does what it says on the tin. Difficult. To be disappointed but lacks the wow of the original.. Treat it as a neighbourhood eaterie rather than expecting anything truly special and you'll be fine.
N. P.
Great place for dinner with a fantastic ambience. Tuna carpccio starter was delicious and steaks were very well cooked. Will visit this place again
P. C.
Very good food but expensive. Good service. Tables very close to each other, feels a bit packed and noisy.
L. T.
Lovely restaurant. Service good. Food ok but could have been hotter. Enjoyable experience though.
K. G.
Can’t wait to be re open, I will book a brunch date, launch date, dinner date with myself and eat for two :)
G. K.
First class. Excellent food and service
