Delicious chips and cooked really well. I popped in just by chance and chatted to the friendly staff whilst I waited - I like my chips a little crispy! I would like to see more vegan options like fried tofu or some vegan sausages aswell please. I'll be adding this to my list of places to get chips in North London!

This is a great place for the tastiest chips. The owner is accommodating for vegans who are very particular about not sharing oil with other food. My family and I had the best chips and meal from here, the service was quick and food was impeccable. I often see the team giving away free food to the homeless. Keep up the awesome service guys, the community needs you!

Really nice neighborhood place! Just reopened under new management. Cod and haddock are lightly fried, juicy and meaty. Gherkins are a nice accompaniment, crunchy and a bit sour. Get the large chips - huge portion. They also have chicken tenders, burgers, mushy peas and other sides. All reasonably priced. Friendly staff. The high street needed a proper fish & chips place!

I didn't like fish and chips until I tried Trawlerman Fish and Chips. Very good batter, crispy but not too oily. Chips was also really good. Very decent portions. Curry sauce goes so well with the fish, not too strong but very good addition.

This has got to be the best fish and chips I ever tasted!! Everything was cooked fresh in front of you. I had scampi and chips and sausage in batter. My partner had fish and chips. Everything Is made fresh in front of you. They fill the box with the most chips you will not feel hungry at all! Very generous portion and the price we paid was very good too! Couldn’t finish mine all in one go but had the rest later. So good! Clean really fresh tasting food!The staff didn’t disappoint either, they were really nice, friendly and polite. We will recommend to everyone and being local, it will become our regular now we have found this place 😊

I just popped into this new chip shop and I’m so glad I did. The staff was lovely and welcome. We had a lovely chat and the chef told me about the history of the business. The food was great, I had Haddock and chips. The food was lovely and fresh. The portion was very good sized. I really enjoyed it. They have seating inside and take away too. I highly recommend it.

The chips are not the best, maybe they could change the oil more often but you get plenty. Also I had Halloumi and that was generous too. I guess, if you are hungry and not very fussy it's ok. I'm sure I will go back there sometimes 😉

Best fish and chip shop I know of in London! I’m from New Zealand so it’s pretty damn hard to impress me when it comes to fish and chips in the UK. However, the team at the Trawlerman really do tick all the boxes. Non-greasy, large and quality portions, full of flavour and certainly value for money, surprisingly good quality fish, and to top it off - brilliant customer service with a smile. Great for takeaway or eat in! A regular pleasure!

Wow! Of course it was beautifully presented. Of course the premises is charming. Of course the place is intimate. This IS ISLINGTON! (kicks ambassaor down well). This was the best prepared fish & chips I've had this century. The guy up near Archway has no competition, and he closes early because he has sold every scrap of fish he:s boutgh This place is better. These guys have the cleanest oil, thickest hand cut potatoes, most ideally cooked fish - so good I felt duty bound to sit at my table and write a review to wash it down. Nobody else in the place. The people here abs are either mad, blaise, or spoiled. Try it. You'll be glad you did.

It's been far too long since we had a chippy in the area and this is well worth it, and a very welcome return during these Covid19 days. Fish was great and the chips were above average. Service is not the quickest but that's not really a concern right now, plus the fish is fried to order so it's all good. Much prefer ordering direct than using Deliveroo, whose riders are consistently unable to perform contact-free deliveries. -- Return edit: I've been back and I think the quality has dropped significantly. First was satisfactory and chips were kind of dismal. Really wish they would do some basic fine tuning of the main event. They remain popular in the area but could be doing more to establish their dominance.

In my opinion & my wifes we say this is the best fish and chip shop in Islington I done a phone order on the 9/10/2020 and we ordered two large cod and a reg size chips & two pickled onions I walked over to get my order went home and wow what lovely fish and chips fantastic cod and the best chips we have ever had. The two pickled onions was very big and lovely well done trawlerman fish & chips we will be coming back soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍

The dish cost £14, which at first seemed a bit high, but it is ideal to share between two. The cod melts in your mouth and the potatoes were perfect. In terms of improvements, cleaning can improve a lot (it smells funny). I would still come back tomorrow. (Original) El sitio es de los menos animados en la zona (estuvimos viernes por la noche) pero los fish & chips están buenisimos!!! El plato costó 14£ que al inicio parecía un poco elevado pero es ideal para compartir entre dos. El bacalao se deshace en la boca y las patatas eran perfectas. En cuanto a mejoras, la limpieza puede mejorar mucho (huele raro). Aun asi volvería mañana mismo.
