Reviews of The Vurger Co Shoreditch
C. P.
Very nice place. 100% vegan 🌱I was looking forward to visit as it is one of the London vegan institution.
They have a great lunch meal deal that consist in a burger (but you only can choose between 2 of them on the menu), a side and a drink. Very good value for money.
Tasty burger, free sauces like mayo and ketchup, good size and filling portions (my friend couldn’t finish her burger!)
Will definitely pop in again when in Shoreditch!
R. E.
Very nice burger place, being a quiet street from the busy Brick Lane and Shoreditch bustle.
Great seating inside with hand sanitiser station, staff also wearing masks and gloves. Spacious and good seating areas with cute neon decor and plants.
I ordered the New York deli burger with a beyond meat burger. Very tasty and well cooked. You would have to look twice to believe it was a vegan burger. Fillings/sauces were good.
Very nice option for a quick lunch or a casual dinner for vegans and vegetarians, or anyone wanting to try new things!
Cannot wait to try the milkshakes.
*UPDATE*
Tried their Christmas turkey burger and the festive praline milkshake! So delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore fun sides to veganism!

I was a bit disappointed by The Vurger Co given all its hype. Perhaps it is because I didn’t get a burger there although I am not usually a burger type of person unless the bun is also very good. I did try their truffle Mac and cheese and crackling tots special. I enjoyed both . The truffle Mac isn’t your typical Mac n cheese. It’s not that creamy except for the bottom few pieces of pasta. The top of it though was on the drier side. I still liked it because I like anything that’s cheese and pasta and it wasn’t salty either. The crackling tots were quite nice although I would’ve liked to see more crackling pieces. The BBQ sauce was good but seemed a bit skimpy as well.
P. K.
No trip going to London is complete without a trip to Vurger. Delicious vegan gluten free burgers, served with fries which are amazingly seasoned, and the milkshake is to die for. My favourite is super smooth hazelnut milkshake with vegan cream on top. And you can get your burgers cut in half woo
A. D.
New York Burger was great.
Will definitely satisfy the burger crazing even for a meat eater!
A. T.
So it's coming from someone who had more burgers since I swapped to a plant-based lifestyle but OMG! 10/10 on the burgers. Great location so easy to find & it is high up there with the best vegan burgers in town 🙌🏽 I was not amazed by the mac&cheese but to be fair the burger and side is more than filling😉👍🏽 must-visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
J. G.
Seriously delicious! Absolutely loved everything, the new Hunny chicken burger was so good, I even took away a small pot of their vegan honey and it blew my mind! Would highly recommend!
I. C.
Burgers were soo nice, would definitely go back BUT the place smells inside so bad, we left with our clothes smelling like oil.
A. T.
Best vegan burger I've ever had. So delicious. We've shared them and it's just another level. So many flavours and textures. Paradise in your mouth. Decent prices and lovely service. Even if you're not vegan it's worth trying this place. We had the aubergine burger and the buffalo crispy 'chicken'. Next level ❤️
A.
I stumbled upon this place by accident but I'm glad I did! My partner and I are slowly transitioning to vegan and these burgers were so damn delicious! I ordered the buffalo "chicken" burger with sweet potato fries, and my partner got the classic black bean burger with regular fries. If I was local to London I would eat here often!
I highly recommend eating here, vegan or not. The "chicken" burger will blow you away and has an amazing texture!
J. M.
I really like this place. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. I like the simple layout of the place which felt chilled and laid back, a feeling I also get when I visit a Honest Burger restaurant. The menu is varied featuring a range of vegan meals including burgers, salads, macaroni cheese, nuggets and range of side dishes. I had the Kentucky Bites, which is a take on spicy chicken nuggets, which came with a barbecue sauce that tasted incredible. I also the sweet potato wedges that were nice and a strawberry milkshake which is one of the best I have ever tasted. The food is really good if a bit pricey but at the same time portions were really generous. I couldn't finish the food I ordered. So I am a bit conflicted when deciding if it is good value for money It is by far the best purely vegan burger restaurant I have been to. I will definitely be going back again to try out one of the burgers and the Mac and Cheese.
S. K.
Honestly if I was to have any fault with The Vurger Co it’d be the price however the portions are so so big, the flavours are amazing and the staff are so nice so it’s Gucci.
I got the auburger which I won’t lie I should’ve expected to be similar to a vegetable burger (I mean it’s in the name lol) but still wasn’t bad, especially with all of the toppings 😋😋 I’ll definitely try the vegan chicken burger or classic burger OR finally try a salad bowl from there next time!
Oh also those fries yes pleaseeeee
C. V. O.
On my list of favourite vegan places in London that never disappoint. The limited edition Christmas turkey burger was delicious, also love their chicken burger and truffle mac 'n cheese! Not too pricey either for what you get.
M. L.
What an amazing find! As a gluten free vegetarian my options are often extremely limited...but not here. I was overwhelmed with the amount of choice and variety ALL gf & vegan. The crispy chicken burger was divine. I cannot wait to go back and work my way through the rest of this menu..
S. B.
Absolutely delicious. We had crispy chicken burgers with sweet potato fries and tater tots. Well priced for serving size! Texture was incredible, best crunch on anything gluten free I've had. Option to make your order Coeliac friendly is perfect. 10/10 will be back.
W. S.
Another great meat free burger. Everything taste very good.
Z. H.
Vegan fast food except that you get your food delivered at your table after ordering and paying online. Probably not that healthy with the fried part, fries, sauce and all :) but still tasty. Ideal for a quick lunch with friends.
J. P.
Brilliant food! Being gluten free it was so nice to be able to eat something I haven’t in ages, it’s so hard to find vegan chicken alternatives that are gluten free. The crispy chicken burger was insanely good and so were the tater tots! I highly recommend a visit!
F. A.
Vegan fast food.
Place was fairly quite for Sunday afternoon.
Food was fresh and quicky served.
The classic Burger looked great. Tasting fine but the chickpea n red pepper patty was too soft and lacked a solid patty feel.
The sweet chilli chicken was absolutely great. Generous size and crispy 'chicken'.
Price on the high side of fast food.
A. F.
Nice vegan spot for a quick bite to eat. Atmosphere lacking a little bit but can not fault the food. Prices are fair for the volume of food you get.
I had a GF Beyond Meat Burger which was so yummy and filling. With a side of potato chips which were very tasty! Would recommend.
Everything is recyclable and sustainable which is wonderful!
R. R.
Love it here! Perfect for people who love to indulge on junk food! The burgers are perfection and so are the fries! Came here twice already.. dont mind to come by again! 😍😋
I do miss the sauces dispenser 😭although I can see why they took it out.
J.
Unfortunately I found the Vurger Co a disappointment. Prices verge on being high, but for a specialist vegan establishment I wasn't surprised or put off. The oreo milkshake I had was great and didn't taste much different to a dairy oreo shake. The fries were excellent, and the 'mac n cheese' was a nice creamy pasta though not very cheesy in flavour and a bit softer than I'd ideally like. The issue was with the burger. The bun itself and all the toppings were great, including the vegan chilli mayo available in bottles on the tables. It was the burger itself I did not enjoy. I ordered the 'Classic' which is black bean based, and it was exactly what I had a feared; a bland, mushy burger that got squashed into a paste through the pressure of biting into it while holding the bun. As I got more than halfway through it, I started to notice the burger sticking to the roof of my mouth unpleasantly. If your 'classic' burger is no better than the 'veggie burger' option at any pub, that is a big issue for a specialist burger place. It is a real shame as all the other aspects of the meal were really good. The decor is cool, music is great and staff are friendly. Better burgers needed!
R. P.
Really yummy vegan burgers and sides!! Lovely staff as well. Highly recommended if you're looking for something indulgent but also environmentally friendly :)
The only thing I didn't like was the plastic cup I was served with my beer - I thought it was an odd choice for a place that only serves plant-based food :(
N.
5* The best Vegan Burger ever!! Sadly I live too far away to enjoy this burger everyday..I will be visiting the next time I'm nearby!
The Aubuger was super tasty and value for money. We all had something different and everyone really enjoyed thier meal 😋 🍔.
Friendly staff and clean restaurant.
M. R. C.
We had a fantastic meal at Vurger. Everyone was extremely helpful and so accommodating. The food was out of this world good and catered for all food requirement such as gluten free and vegan, which is usually a real challenge! Can’t wait to go back! We’ve already put a date in!
L. M.
Their sweet chilli chicken bowl was amazing! I didn't enjoy the auburger so much, but my friend did, so different tastes I guess. The servers were so lovely too. Would definitely go again!
S. M.
Love this place! Great burgers but also amazing staff, so helpful, friendly and professional - and they do salad options for having the burgers as well as gluten free buns! A great find for gluten free vegans plus I ordered from them on Deliveroo too and it couldn’t have been any quicker. Highly recommend ❤️
J. O.
This place is banging! I talked my girlfriend into coming here she really enjoyed the Mac and cheese with the Crispy Chicken burger, I had the Buffalo burger which was very tasty. The Salted caramel Popcorn shake was probably the best I've ever had. couldn't even tell it was vegan. I will definitely be returning to try the Shroom dippers and the rest of the burgers. Thank you Vurger!
P. C.
Absolutely delicious vegan food, just wish there were more chains. Staff are always amazing and friendly.
M. L.
The New Yorker was absolutely ridiculous. The texture of the burger with the cheese was incredibly delicious. I liked it more than the auberger but perhaps that’s because i tried the New Yorker first. The tomato Mac and cheese was so lovely and paired perfectly with my vegan red wine. Only feedback is to use less single use plastic, despite it being compostable for water and wine.
J. B.
Omg , best burger EVER.
Had the auburger and the big mex along with some 50/50 fries (half regular, half sweet potato)
Auburger had a smoky hint to it which was balanced by tangy gherkins and some pickled cabbage (I think)
And the big mex (we substituted the classic patty instead) was amazing! The jackfruit and the queso go so well together!
Little sad we didn't get some Kentucky bites because they were sold out but maybe next time!
J. f.
Absolutely loved our visit here. The service and the food were amazing. I managed to try a vegan pork crackling burger which was probably one of, if not the, best burger I've ever had
T. M.
Great vegan burgers! It's refreshing that Vurger Co try something different from the faux meat type of burger. Vegetables are the stars of their burgers - aubergines, mushrooms, jalapenos... The fries were very nice, but nothing too special. The Mac and Cheese was surprisingly good and definitely one of the best vegan Mac and Cheeses I've had before. For burger lovers, vegan or not, it's definitely worth a visit!
T. F.
A real nice place.
Limited menu, but in someway that's beneficial.
I got the classic burger, which I upgraded to the lunch meal deal, which is a real bargain.
Fries are your standard American salty fries- tasty.
I wasn't expecting the burger to be so big, and I ended up cutting it in half to be able to eat it. The burger sauce kinda drowns out the taste of the patty, but the patty was still quite nice. The vegan brioche bun was nice too.
Overall, really enjoyed this meal, just wish there wasn't so much sauce in the burger
L. M.
Amazing! It’s expensive, but it’s totally worth it! It’s the best burger in London. And the Mac n Cheese is unbelievable. You can’t even say it’s vegan. You must try!!
A. W.
So yummy. I had the buffalo vurger, the texture was so chicken-y I was scared for a second. Portions are filling too, but still a tiny bit too expensive when you consider that chips are not included. I would at least like to see a little discount when you combine chips with a burger, like a meal-deal.
M. W.
Some of the best vegan burgers I’ve had, recommend for both vegans and non vegans alike
R. S.
The best gluten free vegan burgers and mac and cheese. Last time the chips were cold though. Otherwise I love this place!
H. K.
Honestly the most authentic and genuinely delicious vegan restaurant I have ever been to. The service on the weekend was amazing. The food quality is second to none. You are pioneers!
Z. R.
Service is great however the chicken bites texture were quite rubbery. Burgers are delicious though!
s. s.
Excellent burgers although I would personally prefer an option of vegetarian milk based cheese over vegan cheese. The staff was very hospitable too.
L. T.
Woah vegan food is expensive! £18 for a burger, fries and milkshake - for one! Food is of a high quality however with a lovely not-so-sweet milkshake, and delicious sauce and bun in the burger; only thing is the actual bean burger patty is rather bland.
S. G.
Excellent option if you are a vegan. The burgers taste really good. The service is quick and staff is friendly
P. N.
Went for lunch with friends and tried the Holy Habanero in a bowl and the Classic in a bun. Loved them both, but if I had to choose I would say the classic, was just perfect! One of the best vegan and non-vegan burgers that I've tried. The sweet potato fries are insanely good!
C. T.
As a flexitarian that's extremely picky with meat substitutes my girlfriend convinced me to try a Vurger Burger. It was amazing and I can happily say this is my new favourite burger place. Big, juicy, delicious burgers made with love. I had the New York Melt and it was everything.
K. L.
I am not vegan or even vegetarian my self, and i usually always go for the meat option , but i went here with a friend who is and i didn’t have other choice than trying it this time, i was pleasantly surprised, the burger was really tasteful, the bun was really soft and the vegan spicy mayonnaise was amazing. I would recommend to anyone who want to try vegan food.
I. C.
We loved our experience here, the burgers are ace, the chicken style nuggets super realistic which was a bit freaky but delicious! Nice sauces, cucumber water, lovely staff.
I. F.
Great place for a guilt free burger.. unless you feel guilty for eating too much. Had the crispy chicken (not chicken) burger this visit and it was almost as good as the Korean version below it on the menu. The chips both potato and sweet potato are nice and crispy as well.
L. L.
We loved our trip here. As always the Beyond Burger was delicious, the bun and added ingredients were spot on. Nice spot just off the main road and so easily accessible. Dog friendly too!
C. S.
Insanely good!! I recommend the chicken burgers and any milkshake (especially Biscoff) . Even if non vegan, you won't regret.
M. O.
Fantastic vegetarian choices. I tried the "Big Mex" burger with sweetpotato fries, and it was amazing. They do server desserts, but I did not try any. Wheelchair access is ok, my meal was a take away, so I did not check for wheelchair accessible toliets.
K. H.
Tasty food and not unjustly overpriced. Sweet potato fries were great and chocolate milkshake is sublime. Would definitely recommend to any vegan burger lovers.
M. L.
I went to try the new Christmas burger by my favourite chef (avant garden vegan) and it didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The hamburger itself was delicious, it literally felt like Christmas packed between two buns. I had a side of sweet potatoes which was ok but they could have been more crispy (my personal favorites are the ones in by chloe). Ill definetely come back to try some of the other hamburgers and milkshakes!
M. A. K.
The Classic Burger is actually amazing! I was tempted to order one of the other three burgers on offer, but decided to keep it real with the classic and was not disappointed! I am definitely revisiting and hope more people try this place out (Also the skinned fries and chilli mayo were a great part of the meal too!)
V. C.
A nice selection of burgers, the crispy chicken one was the best for me
D. C.
The Vurger Co's first permanent restaurant is a stylish burger bar that just happens to be vegan. Lovely and welcoming with a great selection of vegan burgers, shakes, and drinks (try the Redchurch Pale Ale!), plus some secret menu items (hint - ask for the Auburger Bites!)
S. P.
Burger was nice, they were a bit dry and needed more sauce. Not the best vegan burgers I would say. They did have an option to cut the burger in half which was good for sharing so I appreciated that!
K. T. M.
London was really missing having a totally plant-based burger. Mostly (maybe all) of the places make seitan burgers. Plant based food is amazing and so tasty! You'll eat as much as you can and won't feel full at all! :P
M. R.
My words could not describe this amazing experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I went there three times ins two days, just because it was so awesome! I came in there 10 mins before closing and they still offered all the food. The plant based milkshakes where so so delicious! I highly recommend this Restaunt! I love you Burger!
J. L.
Honestly the best vegan meal I have ever had. Hunny Chicken is 10/10, praying they keep this on the menu forever!
G. C.
Delicious food, helpful and knowledgable staff! As a vegetarian that do not eat onion/garlic, I always struggled when eating out. This is especially so because front-line staff are often not equipped with knowledge of what is in the food (apart from the usual nut allergies). Was very pleased with the service of the staff here - she was aware of exactly what options I had on the menu and was able to advice me accordingly. I ordered the classic burger (this was the only burger that did not have onion/garlic) together with sweet potato fries. The food was delicious and the portion was generous (I was stuffed!). Someone on the streets even asked me where I got the burger from! Highly recommend this place.
C. W.
Amazing vegan burgers, sides and delicious milkshakes. An added bonus that it's plastic-free too! A little on the expensive side but well worth it.
P. B.
I’ve only been here once so far but will definitely be returning. A small operation, this 100% vegan burger joint in Shoreditch has a small but scrummy burger selection. They also offer delicious vegan milkshakes (I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the Lotus biscuit one.) Vegan Mayo is on tap and the prices are London average.
e.
The beyond meat patty is delicious. Highly recommend. Only criticism is the brioche bun is too sweet. Not sure why brioche is the rage nowadays. Chips are OK.
P. F.
gluten free options for most things on the menu!
J. J. J.
Best vegan burger I've ever had. Actually, the first vegan burger I've ever had. I could almost have mistaken the New York melt for a beef patty burger. Service was great, seating was clean and tidy. Really nice establishment. Very pleased with my first post lockdown outing!!
M. A.
The restaurant is very chic and has a really nice vibe.
The food is amazing!!
The staff is lovely and very nice!!
Will be back soon!!!
s. b.
Expensive but generous portions. Some of the best tasting burgers and shakes we've had since ditching dairy.
J. H.
How can people say vegan food is only bland! The Mac and cheese is rich and full of flavour. Gorgeous meal.
g.
The yummiest food ever!! such generous portion sizes, delicious burgers, gorgeous shakes and a lovely selection of sides, you really cant go wrong with vurger. 100% recommend to anyone in the area, its a must try!!
E. B.
Absolutely love Vurger - they are hands-down the best veggie / vegan burgers I've ever had. Filling, tasty, and indulgent yet wholesome - all of the old connotations of bland, earthy vegan food are completely banished! Vurger is essentially an upscale fast food joint, so you can have your food 'fast', take it away, or order a beer / wine and linger. All cutlery etc is disposable, but has been sourced to be compostable and eco friendly. Friendly, helpful staff, and a real mix of customers - demonstrating the rise, and changing face of veganism.
C. G.
Ordered the at home meal kit for a lockdown Valentines meal. The delivery was really easy, came with all the ingredients we needed for a New York Melt and the beef brisket loaded fries. The instructions were very easy and the food tasted incredible! Was so pleased with my box! Will definitely visit the restaurant in the future!
L. K.
Awww i just love this place!! Food was incredible!! Will eat here again on my next visit to London!! DELISH!!
highly recommend the Kentucky Dunkers!
A. R.
Between us had the Auberger, Crispy chicken, and a New Yorker, all were delicious. Friendly service.
A. S.
Loved it, been to a few vegan burger places but this was definitely at the top of my list
G. A.
Small, cute, little start up. The burgers are big, yummy and good (as in healthy). They encourage recycling with most (if not all) of thier packing. The menu consists of the burgers, sides and drinks (both soft & alcoholic). You don't have to have your burger in a bun, you can make it a salad 😊. If you're wishing to switch from the unhealthy KFC and Burger King, this is your spot. Thier #feedyoursoul hashtag is a bit eh... But hey, it's about the food. Check em out!
J. J.
It's a really nice location and easy to find. I found it quite expensive, but having tasted the food, it was well worth the money. It goes with out saying that the food was amazing - literally the best veggie burger I've ever had, wow! I was totally stuffed, I don't know how people manage to eat a burger and still have room for chips and milkshake. Decor in the restaurant was lacking - not somewhere you'd bring someone on a first date. But still okay - will defo be coming back!
C. N.
Great meal to take away at the Burger Co. Lovely staff who were quick to prepare the collection meals. Burgers are delish.
H. G.
Had an excellent chicken burger (not sure what kind of magic was required to make that) and a salted caramel popcorn milkshake that blew my mind 🤯.
O. F.
Amazing vegan shakes and burgers! Gluten free options available!
H. R.
The food was really good, especially the biscoff milkshake which I would highly recommend, however it is really pricey but definitely worth the try if you haven't had it before
L. T.
Friendly staff food was hot loved the NewYork Burger and Tote Tots with the Oreo milkshake. Everything is VEGAN
C. h.
Good and delicious selection of vegan burgers and chips. But I strongly urge you to have the vegan hazelnut milkshake, so yummmmmmmyyyyyy wow! Staff are super efficient.
K. H.
Amazing vegan burgers. So meaty!! You must go!
M. L.
Great selection of vegan treats, mac and cheese was disappointing but the mushroom strips were a revelation
N. G.
I only had the shake this time, so haven't tried more of the menu but the shake was delicious. Looking forward to trying more stuff. Nice, cosy place. Nice staff too. The location is only in Shoreditch.
M. C.
Great vegan burger bar, lots of options very tasty and dog friendly :)
G. T.
These guys make amazing vegan burgers. They are very filling and always have enough toppings and flavours. The nuggets are great too. But the real treat lies with the vegan milkshakes. They are so so so good!!! They have whipped cream and are a thicker consistency. Definitely worth getting.
H. A.
LOVED my jackfruit burger, very filling and the sauces and vegan cheese packed in a lot of flavour.
D. C.
Decent burgers and milkshakes. The crispy mushroom strips are Godly. Enjoy the habanero burger most
C. W.
Great for a tasty burger. I went with my boyfriend and we have very different tastes which this place could cater for. I had the burger in salad form and he had the burger, both were delightful. The vegan cheese they use was phenomenal! Also it’s all plant based plastic which is amazing!
A. M. H.
One of the best burgers in town! Just love it there😊
J. G.
Friendly staff, good ethos and amazing food. Such a good menu that it's hard to select.
Never been a fan of mac n cheese but had to try because it's vegan and actually really rate it!
The burgers looked like a task to attack, as they are fully stacked and look amazing! But I took the aubergine burger in a bowl and it's so tasty! Fresh ingredients and great food.
R. A.
Excellent food. I got a Tex Mex burger, with Kentucky bites on the side and an Oreo Milkshake. Kentucky bites were very nicely flavoured with a bit of heat to them and had a very good texture. The Oreo shake was also delicious, and the Oreo flavour wasn't drowned out by the Almond (I think it was Almond Milk) base
Excellent place
E. S.
I loved the food and the vibe. The Oreo Vegan Shake was something else 😍. Friendly staff. I will go back. Thanks for having me!
M. O. L.
100% vegan menu, almost everything can be done gluten free. Everything is compostable. The staff was wonderful and the food fantastic.
A. V.
Sooo glad I found this place, my FAVE vegan burgers in London, the brisket burger has my heart. I'd also go back just for the crispy dippers and garlic mayo alone
T. C.
I’d rate these burgers as delicious. No doubt the beyond meat is great but these guys distinguish themselves from others by the mere fact that they actually complement the patty with the right mix of delicious goods.
The totes are yummy as are their choice of salads. I would however rather order take away than eat in purely because it’s more comfortable.
Staff is amiable and helpful!
L. H.
I've been vegetarian for 3 years now and this is hands down the best vegan food I have ever had. Travelled all the way from Scotland to try it and was not disappointed in the slightest. Super friendly staff, quick service and the food is rad. Their homemade burger sauce is to die for!! Can't recommend this place enough - thank you Vurger Co!
C. G.
If you want a great tasting burger with all the fixin's, this is a great place to come. They do really nice shakes too. It's a bit expensive but it's great to support a fully vegan business. The staff were very friendly and the service quick.
F. F. R.
Hungry at lunchtime, went to a couple of known vegan spots, but was annoyed at how expensive they are. Seems ridiculous to charge nearly £10 for a just a bean burger. Not that Vurger is much cheaper than others, but Mon-Thurs, think 12-4pm, you can get any burger, soft drink (Karma Cola!) and skin on fries for £10.
The burger was most tasty, lots of salad, delicious burger sauce and fantastic brioche bun. Chips were great and good portions.
Told staff that I enjoyed everything, but would have preferred a firmer burger. Staff were open and honest, informed me the different burgers had similar textures, and customers could request their patties to be cooked longer, for desired consistency. All their different patties contain healthy vegetable ingredients, nice to have a break from soy and seitan.
Also liked the fact they sold alcohol and if you wanted a shot of bourbon in your shake, only £2 extra.
I'll definitely go again.
A. B.
Delicious vegan burgers and snacks! 😋
A. A.
I had the Auburger and it was wonderful. Great also the sweet potato chips. We ate outside on the nice tables and we had a great time. We'll come back!
M. T.
I have read other reviews with negative comments and the owner's responses (which unfortunately aren't all that nice) but despite this, my friend (who is an omnivore) and I discovered this 100% vegan place accidentally but we're both more than happy that we did! The staff were great, smiley people and very helpful. The decor is minimalistic but beautiful. We enjoyed the scrumptious burgers, skin-on fries as well as mac and cheese. The vibe was relaxing. I'm sure I'll be back to try their milkshakes (probably with a shot of rum)!
R. S.
Great fried, a good Xmas burger and I like the app for ordering
F. B.
Okay, I'm glad that the verdict is pretty unanimous in agreeing that this place does delicious food and is great in general. But did you know that you can get lovely filling meals without the buns too now? They come in a little bowl and allow you to make even more room for sides like mac 'n' cheese, or a milkshake, or salad... :)
J. P.
Really good vegan fast food! I enjoyed crakling burger and tater tots!
L. E.
Good service and tasty food! It's a small venue but lovely decorated. The staff was friendly and we had a good time there. The food was good. The milkshakes are exceptional and I'm definitly coming back for those! Over all a good vegan fast food alternative with a small menu but that just makes it easier to decide.
L. W.
Really great selection of burgers and gluten free options available

New York Melt was very tasty! Buffalo Vurger was very good also, although there was a little too much chili in it for our taste. We also recommend the Ginger lemonade: its taste was fresh and not lame. Chips were nicely firm, and the mayo fit with them. All in all, very very delicious food!
C. D.
The food is just amazing. There isn't a really big terrace but there is plenty of space once they are allowed to reopen inside as well. My favourite place for a burger.
T. l.
Yummy but I took away half a star because it was really expensive for one burger and another half because the restaurant design wasn't intuitive enough for me to immediately spot the bin so I ended up handing my tray to the confused girls at the counter and only managing to see it ten seconds after. By then it was too late. For the record, I usually throw away my own food and dont give it to the people working in the restaurant.
T. M.
Amazing vegan burgers! And the dairy free Mac n cheese was better than the real deal
J. A.
Oh my word, being an omnivore, that's leaning towards the carnivore side, those burgers are delicious. The best part is how light it feels on your stomach and so you don't go into a food coma. Highly recommended if you want your taste buds tingling!!
B.
Variety at last! There aren't many burger joints that sell solely vegetable patties so this definitely wins on that front. I tried the Auburger with sweet potato fries and the mac and cheese. Burger was delicious and hit the spot. Fries were average, and the mac was disappointingly sloppy. I think the temple of seitan does better vegan mac, as the pasta here isn't mac shaped, rather it came as a rigatoni style pasta and the sauce tasted rather odd. It's quite over-priced considering its just vegetables, but the concept has a nice feel-good vegan vibe to it, and the service is pretty quick so I'll give it that.

#try #this Luv dem Excellent #rich #mix charming staff fantastic comestibles sauce products #banging #munch
B. S.
Absolutely a fantastic place for lunch or dinner. Love the concept of an all vegan burger place!! The burgers and sides are a great size and perfect when you're looking for your burger fix! The shakes are Definitly worth trying out, they are much lighter than the usual dairy equvalent so they work really well with a burger and side. Most other places do make you feel overly full and bloated but you don't here.
Cant wait to go back!
R. A.
Been here a few times and can never fault it
Food never takes long, tastes great and the staff are SO friendly
Do yourself a favour and get some of the crispy dippers. Even if you think you don't need them, just do it.
J. D.
The burgers we ordered had tasty and interesting flavour combinations, but had the typical vegetarian patty problem - mushy or falling apart. The buns were soft and fluffy. The sweet potato fries were nice, crunchy outside and soft inside. And most surprisingly, despite being vegetarian, it was a very filling meal!
S. L. S.
THIS PLACE IS HOW I IMAGINE MY HEAVEN AS A PLANT BASED EATER!
It's like the best burger you've ever tasted, but better!! (and it's meatless?!)
Oh and yeah, be really careful when ordering the Mac n' Cheese, IT'S DANGEROUSLY ADDICTIVE, SO good!! (u've been warned)
And If you haven't had a proper milkshake (if any) since you've gone Vegan or Dairy Free, well here is your chance... ;)
W. P.
Really tasty veg burgers that anyone can eat and enjoy. Desserts, wine & beer too.
R. B.
Really nice place for a quick vegan burger. They don't have so much variety but they have dairy free milkshake (omg the oreo one). The service was fast and friendly. I'll be coming back for sure. I need to try everything.
S. I.
The banana caramel milkshake was like liquid banoffee pie - incredibly sweet but really good, and the vegan cream tasted like a marshmallow. . I'd drink while its cold tho - once I'd got to the bottom that sweetness all got a bit chemical saccharine. I enjoyed the burger, they were super filling I had the aubergine one, which had a nice kick to it. I'm not a vegan or a vege but I would eat there again.
C. K. L.
We stumbled upon this little gem quite by accident. The prices are about right for the area, the atmosphere and staff were lovely and the food (most importantly) was delicious and much more filling than we expected. Although it is easier to find good vegan food these days, I still requires some effort to find truly satisfying experiences.
We ordered two buffalo Vurgers, 50/50 fries, alt Mac and cheese and a couple of Karma colas. All were great: my partner personally found the sour elements from her Vurger a bit strong for her, but we both agreed that it was great to see them trying something different and we plan to go back again. The fries (especially the sweet potato ones) were perfectly cooked and the Mac and cheese has a surprisingly delicate flavour which is a nice contrast to the stronger flavours of the Vurgers.
The crowd here were very diverse and friendly; we got into a short impromptu conversation with other customers while we were there. Everything here appears to be very well thought out: from the ecological impact of both sources and waste to the decor to the flavour elements of the Vurgers. I can highly recommend The Vurger Co. and can't wait for an excuse to try it again.
K. E.
I came here for my fiancée who told me it had great reviews, my last vegan burger was in Fresh on Spidina in Toronto and was hugely underwhelming. This was fantastic and I can not speak highly enough of this. I am not a vegan and do not usually enjoy eating out in Vegan restaurants however this was an experience I would gladly live again.
The burger was juicy and tasted amazing, the fries were great and the mac'n'cheese is wonderful. I had an amazing Oreo shake which was just creamy and chocolatey.
Burger Co is well worth a try Vegan or not.
T. S.
Amazing food. My first visit last night and I have to say I'll be going again. The burger was fresh and looked just like the photo. It had just the right amount of sauce and 'cheese'. I got in a right mess, but I didn't mind one bit as it tasted so good.
D. G.
Very friendly clean environment, with decent tasting vegan burgers. The milkshake is lush I had a banana and caramel one. A meal can be quite pricey (for burgers) but it's worth checking out.
E. L. B.
This place is my FAVE! There are lots of vegan burger places at the moment in London, especially east... and I’ve tried them all! But I can safely say this is my favourite. The burgers/buns are such a generous size, and the burger sauce is toooo good. The Mac’n’cheese is the best vegan mac I’ve ever tried, with just a little hint of truffle. The sweet potato fries are chunky and the portions are generous.
Vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters.... you need to try this place!
P. A.
I'm not a vegan but I really enjoyed the burger I had here. The brioche bun was indistinguishable from "normal" brioche, and the chips were delicious.
The actual restaurant is arranged totally bizarrely - half of it is just an empty space where seating should go, as queues build up quickly - don't go if you're starving because you might have to wait over 20 minutes like we did!!
Nobody will seat you or take your order - you just have to queue, wait for a seat and then order at the bar. They have electronic devices that buzz letting you know when your food is ready to collect.
L. F.
One of the best burgers I've had and I'm not even vegan (yet). £8.45p
Generous portion on the extra avo. Lovely staff.
Compostable cutlery is awesome, but silly not to have metal cutlery option for those eating in!
Also would love top bun toasted (not just bottom one) still a 5/5 from me which is rare! 😋
D.
Great food and pleasant service.
This was my first time eating a full vegan meal so I was sceptical as to whether I would enjoy the food here. I ended up being very pleased with the quality and taste of the food.
The staff behind the counter were very welcoming and answered lots of my meat eater questions patiently.
N. C.
Quite simply the best vegan junk food out there. If that wasn't enough, the milkshakes are to die for. I'm not a serious milkshake addict, but I could easily by two or three of these. It's never been rammed or too busy, so it's a pleasant place to stop and eat. Service is excellent from friendly staff.
S. S.
Huge meat lover me, but coming here I’m sold. I’m convinced that if you can make such splendid fast food from just plants there is absolutely no reason to use meat in fast food chains. Keep it for quality establishments only sourcing fine meats where animals are treated with respect. Love it.
H. S.
Excellent vegan burgers and fries that we got very quickly from deliveroo. Interesting mixes, quite big and very tasty! No boring bean patty here...!
Cautious about plastic waste and use recyclable containers.
Only wished we got the sauce for the fries!
A. P.
Went there because of Gaz Oakley's Youtube channel. The place is very cozy and homely, the staff explained everything we wanted in a very friendly manner. The prices were lower than we anticipated and we even got 15% student discount! The burgers were good, although I wasn't a fan of the consistency of the patty, but that's just personal preference. The homemade walnut-tomato pesto was delicious, but the ratio patty to pesto was a bit off. Less pesto on the burger and it would have been even more delicious!
We're also a big fan of the compostable everything.
We also ordered a Biscoff milkshake and damn, that was delicious. Nobody in the world can say that something doesn't taste bomb just because it's vegan. I'd have that milkshake over any other non-vegan shake. Well done!
D. S.
Solid enough but nothing to go too far out of your way for. Friendly staff though.
J. S.
A really good sized portion including the sides. A good selection of burgers too. However it's worth knowing their ethos around veggie/bean based patty's, not being a manufactured meat replacement mean the texture is relatively mushy. Their Kentucky fried mushroom peices are however spot on texture wise as a side (they're too stringy/tough in a burger to pull apart). The homemade chili mayo you can help yourself to was great with the sides. BUT the biggest issue with this place, that leads to a lower rating, is the lack of decent ventilation from the kitchen.... It stinks of fried oil and after eating in so will you, it's so bad that even your eyes start to water after too long. :(
L. D.
One of the best vegan burgers I have ever had, and the Oreo milkshake is mind-blowing too. They also use environment friendly cutlery and napkins which I am all for.
L. R.
Best vegan burger I've had in a while!! Loads of options, fast service. Will be coming back to try more soon🌱💖
I. A.
Such a great vegan place! Stumbled upon it by accident but so glad to have found it. A small menu but curated amount of food. Tried Kentucky bites and they were delicious. Perfect amount of flavour and spice!
s. h.
Proper veggie food attentive staff and decent portions too I'm always expecting the worse in a veggie restaurant and I was very pleasantly surprised unlike so many other very places that seem to think veggies don't eat much
z. k.
I can't even begin to describe how delicious the chocolate hazelnut milkshake with vegan whipped cream is. The option for a gluten free bun is amazing also. Almost perfect burgers. Friendly staff. Cannot fault.
A. G.
Nice place with a nice vibe. The staff were very helpful, but unfortunately the food was only so-so. We had one classic burger, which was only ok. The other dish we had was the auburger. The patty was good, but the burger itself fell apart very quickly.
p.
One of the best vegan burger places I'd say, lots popping up now days. Patties made of black beans, aubergine, shrooms etc - didn't see any seitan fake meat type stuff which makes a refreshing change imo. Big portions, and if you can't decide between sweet potato and the standard variety you can go for 50/50. They do gluten free bread also.
H. M.
Good sized tasty vegan burgers and sides. I couldn't even finish mine. Very pleased with the service as well. However, as it is a very small space it is a bit hard to find seating if you have more than 4 people in your group.
S. D.
Finally a vegan burger restaurant in East London we can be proud of! Been a couple of times and will definitely be back again soon. Fresh ingredients and great flavours, friendly and smooth service in a chilled atmosphere.
C. M.
So so so good!!! The Buffalo burger is the best burger and the mac n cheese 🤯. Service was excellent, super fast and staff were super friendly. Will be back for sure. Thank you! xxx
C. R.
Just had a wonderful home made vegan ice cream sandwiched in between two chocolate biscuits. Very nice. No problem to fill up my water bottle. Staff very good. Enjoyed my time here.
N. F.
Brilliant burgers. I’m not vegan, but I still order from here over other meat-based burger places in the area.
C. B.
We ate here when Avantgarde Vegan was promoting his special burger and I'm so glad we went - lots of yummy burger options and really appreciated the compostable packaging. The vibe is lovely, the staff is super nice and love the plant decor. 10/10 would recommend
E.
The food was delicious, but everything in the restaurant comes in disposable Vegware packaging. The justification is that it's compostable, but these products will not biodegrade in normal conditions - they are still landfill. They also require water and energy to be produced and transported in the first place. There's really no excuse for a company to be using single-use products, especially for things like cups, and cutlery (which are useless to cut a burger anyway), and trying to pass it off as an environmentally-friendly option.
T. S.
We had the classic burgers, pesto mac n cheese, skin on fries and sweet potato fries. It came to £28 - which for 2 people is ok for the area, but I was expecting something outstanding, which this wasn't. Both the skin on fries and the sweet potato fries were excellent and the best thing about the meal. The mac n cheese was maybe 6/10 - the pasta was too big, more like "giant penne and a cheese sauce with a bit of bit of pesto out a jar". Most disappointing were the burgers. I normally love a vege burger, and the all the elements here should have worked, but I think they put on way too much sauce, which killed it. The Pattie was average - could habe done with more crunch and been a bit crispier on the outside, but it was like biting into mashed potato made of beans... they are on the right track, but need to make some improvements to get 4 stars!
J. G.
Best burgers in London, not just for vegans. but a definite must visit for any vegans travelling to London. Great restaurant and great staff the owners are so friendly they go above and beyond to provide great service. Can't recommend enough.
S. T.
Lovely ‘fast’ food place with a committed vibe & tasty food & shakes.
S. L.
Amazing food selection, friendly staff and great vibe :)
M. J.
Literally never eaten a better burger, let alone vegan, in all my life. I live East and have literally tried everywhere you can imagine.
This place is LIFE ! and the staff are the best
J. C.
A great plant-based burger joint! Cheerful, small space for tasty burgers and sweet potato fries. Perfect for one-person and small groups up to 4. Good addition to the Shoreditch plant-based selections.
P. J.
The New York Melt vurger w 50/50 fries is sooo good! I'm not even vegan and say it's one of my fav "burgers" in town. Staff is always super nice, too!
K. A.
New Vegan joint in Shoreditch, just a stone's throw from the station. Homemade everything and super delicious. Pickles, cheese and mayo burgers, delicate Mac n Cheese and lush shakes. Seating, free cucumber water, very clean, very well looked after. Top marks, and I'm not even Vegan! Will be back.
Y. K.
Calling all vegans! You need this place in your life experience! The "burgers" vurgers are AWESOME and the shakes are out of this world!! And the staff here is so cool you wanna hang out with them while drinking vegan beer and wine!!
R. A.
Such good burgers and shakes. Could eat the skin on fries by themselves. Really love the atmosphere. One of my favourite vegan spots in Shoreditch.
T. D.
Hi, I just wanted to say everytime I come to your shoreditch branch I have such an amazing experience. And yesterday was no different!
Not only are you met with staff that are happy to serve and with a good knowledge of the menu. But the food was amazing (for some reason it feels like your portions are getting bigger 😂😂😂) and came piping hot 🔥 (which was very much welcomed seeing as winter feels like it's here already 😊).
I sincerely wish you guys every success in the future. Peace and blessings 🙏
J. B.
Great food, I'd recommend it to anyone, vegan or not!
J. E.
Vurger is an awesome vegan burger joint! Why? Because their vurgers are so good that you can honestly tell your meat eating friends that they will enjoy their vegan burgers as they have tons of flavours and will fill you up, instead of looking and tasting like processed hockey pucks.
My personal recommendations are the Classic Vurger and MLT. My friends who have tried the limited edition Caribbean Vurger said the Flavours are amazing but it's super filling so make sure that you are hungry before ordering this one.
M. W.
I went here to celebrate my birthday yesterday and honestly was the one of the best experiences I have ever had. The food was incredibly delicious, the staff went over and above to help and honestly is the best London Vegan restaurant by a MILE, trust me I eat a ton of vegan food everywhere and these guys are phenomenal!!
H. p.
Really good quick food. Would recommend the tater tots
R. M.
nice burgers, i enjoyed it,and if you are there than its a good option, but, i had better ones. the sauces are good. also, they use a lot of disposables dishes, which makes a lot of trash and that a shame.
s. t.
Great tasting vegan burger option. Does beyond "meat" as well as their own bean patty (which I prefer). Good shake and side options.
Z. E.
As always fab food and service. Took my dog he loved it and I really loved the Auburger❤
R.
Delicious burger and amazing milkshakes!
K. M.
Everything about here is great. Milkshakes are great. There is always a new burger on the menu. Staff are friendly and lighting great.
S. W.
I love the food. But annoyed because they stop taking order 15 mins before they even close. Almost turned me off going here. Haooed 3 times now.
A. J.
Literally the best vegan burgers in town, took my non vegan friends with me and they absolutely loved it, the space and staff are pretty cool too! Definitely will be returning.
A. O.
I was originally going to give it two stars but I'll give it one more shot before giving this place a "harsh" rating. 3 for now.
Ordered takeway just now and ate straight away. Got the MLT. The MLT was lukewarm(!) and the cheese was not melted.....
As for the vegan patty, so so. I'll be frank, NYC's vegetarian/vegan burger joints (serving for example the Impossible Foods burger) are better and feel and taste more like a "burger".
I'll try another one before making up my mind as to final rating...
E. E.
The 'chicken' vurger was incredible. A tad too tangy. But the chicken was very tasty. The bread was great too. The wait was a bit long for the vurger, especially considering it wasnt busy. And there isnt a lot of seating available.
A.
We got burgers from here and they were all amazing
M. C.
I had the classic burger with extra avocado and OMG, it's the best vegan burger in town. And I've tried almost all of them!! Must try, you won't be dissapointed.
S. C.
The mac and cheese here is amazing, love the shakes too. Staff are friendly and the portion sizes are good. Been many times and will be back again!
I. B.
Amazing, the best vegan burger I ever had. I was in a restaurant with my ‘meat eater’ boyfriend and he loved it as well. Bravo The Vurger Co, we will be back!!!!
M. M.
Clean, modern, well oganised place. Delicious burgers. Sweet potatoes fries yum yum! Paradise for vegans. Reasonable charges. (Cheaper than the average area food costs).
H. S.
Corn patty burger wasn’t very nice. It was really sticky and dense :( Cool place and really happy about their no waste policy. Lighting is really bright in the evening too hurts ur eyes a bit
E. K.
Good concept and simple vegan menu. It could’ve been a nice experience but my patty was spicy, despite requesting it not to be 🥵
S. P.
Great for anyone who wants to start or trying to be vegetarian. Plus it isn't salty like a lot of vegetarian food
C. W. M.
Kentucky Chicken Bites: MUST TRY!!!!
New York Melt: Best Beyond Meat burgers
Buffalo Vurger: Very big, very saucy, very nice
S. W.
Decent vegan burgers. Great shakes.
F. N.
Very tasty and beautifully packaged! Ordered the Big New York Home edition and I am super happy. Instructions were very simple to follow. It was a hit!
R. K.
The mexican burger was decent, but the slaw I had on the side wasn't good. It was liquidy and had a strange taste to a typical burger slaw i'd usually expect.
P. L.
Way over my expectations (even if it was take out) if I didn't know the burgers were vegan I wouldn't have know they had no meat.
H. P.
Best vegan experience of your life.... Literally words cannot describe
B. v. d. T.
One of the best vegan fastfood restaurants out there. Banging food, friendly staff and gooood vibes.
A. G.
This is my favourite fast food restaurant in London!! The burgers are ridiculously good, as are the milkshakes. Staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it.
K. S.
Had the New York style burger which was delicious! Full of flavour, lots of toppings but messy to eat!
F. M.
I liked the professional attitude of the staff and the food! I would just say that sometimes I feel the food fresher and the buns softer than other times... Please guys be constant in the quality!!
Thank you!!
L. P.
A very lovely place. Food is tasty.the staff is friendly. It was a bit tiny for the number of ppl there. I'd recommend although I think for veg it's a bit pricey.
T. D. (.
Superb food. Bit pricy but worth it for the amazing Oreo milkshake.
s. d.
Amazing burgers, great if you are veggie or vegan. A little pricey but I think with it
E.
Delicious burgers and friendly staff.
It might be hard to find a table as seating is quite limited and this seems to be a popular spot in the area. Also, my order took a while to arrive.
D. B.
Love this amazing vegan food, it’s almost too delicious. Nice relaxed atmosphere, the best vegan milkshakes ever.
M. C.
Seriously tasty burgers. Insane combination of flavours, one of the best vegan burger I've had.
W. E.
This is one that of the best burgers I've ever had!
L. C. G.
The vegan burgers were really tasty and the girl who served us was really friendly :))
R. M.
I am not Vegan but gave this place a go with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised! Good food and friendly staff. Not sure if I'll convert just yet.
E. R.
Great vegan burgers! Try the buffalo "chicken" one and see if you can tell the difference (I couldn't).
A. O.
By far the best bean burgers in London. I also like the fact you havent downsized them like everyone else in London. Hope they get even bigger in the future.
A.
Would definitely recommend this vegan restaurant ... Great customer service and atmosphere also the food is delicious.
I had the classic burger with mac and 'cheese' was so filling !!!
M.
Best burger I've ever had. Try the beyond meat patty. Milkshakes are astounding.
J. W.
Honestly the BEST burgers in London and the BEST service I’ve ever had, the food is amazing. I encourage everyone to check it out !!!
N. T.
Pesto Mac and cheese was super yummy, also had the Kentucky bite with BBQ sauce. Recommended place and pleasant staff.
L. L.
Nice restaurant, pay attention to vegan products down to the smallest detail (you can only pay with card, because the British pounds are not vegan)
The food was delicious, especially the sweet potato fries!
J. F.
Tasty veggie burgers. 👍
J. H.
Fantastic Vegan Burgers! A bit pricey but some of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
S. K.
My Kentucky bites were probably very nice but over cooked. Other people's food looked amazing though.
R. B.
Very happy. Good food.
The only negative thing I'd say is the drinks menu is on the expensive side
S. G.
Went there for the first time yesterday afternoon despite the cold and rain. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. The food and milkshake was delicious 😋
J. S.
Delicious food and very friendly staff ! Not vegan but really enjoyed the food nonetheless.
j. p.
Better than some other vegan spots but over priced. I paid £18 for a small can of beer, burger and chips.
A. V.
If you enjoy vegan food and are in London, you'd be doing yourself a great diservice not to come here and taste their delicious burgers!
K. l. P.
Very friendly staff, food felt over priced for what you get, but still pretty impressed by the new york style burger!
A. R.
Excellent food and friendly service, highly recommended.
S. K.
Please try shake! It's really amazing! All food is amazing!! Even if you're not vegetarian, it's worth to try!!

The burgers were not bad but the mac n cheese and biscoff shake were amazing!!
M. G.
The fries were amazing the burgers were okay

B. S.
Friendly staff, yummy burgers, even if you're a carnivore you won't miss the meat! Good playlist too!
M. J.
Great vegan burgers, nice staff and great thick shakes
F. L. M.
Really tasty vegan food, lovely staff and the milkshake I had was divine!
E. V.
I only give 3 stars because of the delay of food. We were advised it was 15 min delay but it took half an hour.
Nevertheless the food was amazing.
L. W.
Can't remember that place probably just popped in and went out
K. C.
Great experience. Thanks!
A. A.
so so.. their staff need to be friendlier and discrimate less.. for example they told us their ketchup and sauces had run out, but then immediately they gave some from their kitchen to other customers...
J. B.
Delicious vegan food!
B. B.
As a carnivore this place was not bad
Q. L.
Did not know it was vegeterian burger before coming into the place. But the taste is pretty good.
