VERY salty beef but okay too eat. I saved half to eat the next day and shortly after my belly was rumbling terribly 👀🥴 Quick and polite service. Would eat again but definitely not save for next day! A bit pricey !

Got a seat straight away for me and my partner. Very close to the train station, Super friendly staff and graciously put our left over food in a takeaway box. I ordered meat and chips, mixed chicken and lamb doner which tasted fantastic and my partner ordered a kofte and 2 drinks, the bill came to £25. They accepted card which is great. Provided free starter bread and sauce, the place was clean and tasty and lived up to its reputation, great big portion of food and didn't hassle or hustle the customer just pure great customer service with a free jelly dessert at the end. Really top notch, great Halal, turkish food. Super polite and great service and just over all had a great experience. Will definitely come again.

It was Bank Holiday weekend but unfortunately found myself at a loose end, plans fallen through but didn't want to waste the evening. So I popped over to Camden on me own to eat not planning any type of restaurant or cuisine. I thought I'd revisit Woody's. Believe it or not, I think the last time I was there was before the pandemic and I'm glad I visited. This is simply a decent, friendly eateries where the food is great, the value is noteworthy and the people are nice. They give you these complimentary mezzes of hummus, bread, olives etc. This is fantastic but be aware, it's easy to dive in and next thing you know, you're already full for the main dish!! I had the chicken sheesh, and it was tender and flavoursome. None of this hard, tasteless chicken you sometimes get in kebab shops that you have to drench in sauce to get any taste.. This was nice grilled chicken. Portions are big and I struggled to finish as I was stuffing my face with the hummus and bread!! Anyhow lesson learned for next time... I may skip lunch.

I've reviewed Woody's in Kilburn and this is the same! Delicious grills... This restaurant is a lot smaller and can get super busy being in Camden but once seated, you're good to go.

We were looking for a restaurant that did Greek cuisine, instead we opted for Turkish cuisine due to the time, all really excellent, appetizer full of sauces, olives and Turkish bread, the waitresses were very courteous and helpful, they also offered us black tea and a mini tasting of candied fruit with icing sugar at the end of the meal, to thank them we could not leave him a tip, I absolutely recommend it!!

Amazing and mouthwatering donner with the complementary chips to go with it, not also mentioning the salad is freshly served. I visit a few times a year when craving a hearty meal. They have an authentic seating area which is very original and unique. Atmosphere is always calm and never rushed. Only downside is the price is on the high side and that's without the drinks.

One of the best and most iconic places in Camden. Consistently good quality of food and service (and I really mean it, as I worked in hospitality many years myself) - which is reflected in how busy they always are. I have lived in the area for 3 years and I'm a huge fan of Woody's, for both a fast reliable takeaway and for hospitable dine-in. They have really great staff working there, always very efficient and kind! Last night I took my friends for a dinner in, and we were served by brilliant Geta - extremely helpful and efficient! She absolutely made our evening and deserves more recognition. Big thank you and we'll be back!

We were having a long afternoon drink across the road in the always entertaining Underworld, when someone suggested we pop out for a Kebab - next thing I know we are in the Woody Grill ordering a Shish. Not the best lamb on a skewer I've ever had but I was 'plastered' at the time and I would have eaten anything. Wrap was fine and the salad was as good as you get anywhere. I've been to the eat-in place they have in Kilburn in a much less alcoholic state and the food there is very good. I'll give that a review of its own. Still, as people say - "good and cheap" in Camden Town.

Can’t agree with negative reviews on here...and some seem uncharitable to overworked staff during what was a period when they were risking their lives while colleagues would have been on furlough. We get takeaway here probably once a month...we go and collect. Hygiene is top, food is fresh, and lovely friendly, energetic, enthusiastic staff. Thank you good people at Woody Grill, Camden. This was an excellent way to round off our day out in the park. For kebabs, this was second to none. We got rejected from all the local pubs because of the size of our group, but they made us feel welcome and we had a great time because of it.

I was taken by a friend and didn't quite know what to expect when I was told we were going to get a kebab. I was pleasantly surprised and the service was incredible. The place was full but we only had to wait a few minutes before getting a seat and there was bread on the table soon after. The manager seemed lovely with a constant smile on his face, topping up our bread basket and waving us goodbye as we walked out. The food was very reasonably priced and we got lots for our money. Wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back.

Really really good doner or shish. I always seem to end up this way as my bus is literally outside. It's always quite crowded which is a good sigh but this kebab place appears from the outside very new (it's not) and is very clean. The food is fresh and you wait a bit which is a good sign by me. I have been eating here for years and it has never disappointed me. The food is fresh, well prepared and plentiful! They are very generous here, giving you some lovely warm bread and dips to eat as soon as you sit down, even before they take your order which is welcoming. There is a seating area with table service, although it is a busy place so you may have to wait. With complementary 'Turkish Delights' to finish off your meal, this is a really great place to stop off at for lunch or dinner

I have had lots of kebabs before and nothing even comes close to this place. The amount of meat they put in your wrap is ridiculous and the sauce they put in it is unlike anything I've ever tried. Truly the greatest meal I've ever had for £5. If you are in Camden you have to go to this place. I still think about that wrap to this day.

I loved this restaurant even if I'm not a big fan of this kind of Oriental restaurants. The service is really really really fast. I've been there with a friend of mine and ten minutes after we were seating we already had our orders in front of us, accompanied by three or four kind of delicious sauces! I've ordered a piadina with veggies (the prices are really good compared with the quality of the food and the service offered) and it has filled me complete.

Expecting just the platter we were blown away by instantly being served a starter of pita bread and varied different sauces, after the pita was finished they instantly refilled it. This was definately a amazing first impression. The platter was served with a overly decent sized salad plate, and rice. I was amazed at how good the service was, making sure we had everything we needed and if everything was okay. After the meal we were able to get more pita bread and take the rest as a takeout. Without asking for it they gave us some Turkish tea, with complements. It was delicious. After that they finished off with Turkish sweets. All for £27.90!! This was WAY MORE than we asked me and I definately recommend coming here.

Very good indeed. The meet was tender and succulent and the wraps we had were all packed with flavor. Definitely not your average high street kebab house. Please don't think Woody Grill should be limited to being a pit stop on the way home after sinking some beers around Camden, I'd encourage you to come any time of day. Would of been a 5-star review if not for some weirdly passive-aggressive service.

Best shish kebab I've had in a long time! It was busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table. We got free warm bread and dips. The sauces were amazing, especially the tomato/chilli one. The staff in there are very polite and as soon as you sit down you are greeted with nice bread and dips to get those tastebuds going. I have come here many times and I am never dissapointed. It is very clean and has a nice chill atmosphere. The reason I have deducted 1 star is because is because some of the more simple dishes taste a little bland (namely a chicken burger). It is not bad but could do with a little more to get the flavours going. But I would suggest getting a shish dish or anything else rather than the simple dishes as they taste amazing and very filling. Portion size is great.

A favourite of mine for a pre-concert or pre-concert bite when visiting Camden Town. The kebabs use good quality chicken or lamb, I thoroughly recommend the lamb ribs. I would recommend you get the wrap rather than box meal, it is a lot easier to eat. Service is professional and on point, these guys clearly have experience in working late hours and dealing with drunk and unruly punters in a good way. As I'm not a fan of the kebab in general, this is about as higher praise as I can give for a kebab, the only thing I have experienced that would trump this are one or two of the middle eastern eateries found on Edgware Road.

Not my first visit at all. Love their food but they need to understand that not all night customers are drunk. They don't understand English very well and got my order wrong for the third time. Shame really because the food is brilliant but the staff are not so good. I will have to make a big decision if I want my order to be wrong again.

This is NOT permanently closed but has moved around the corner to 7-9 Kentish Town Road. Woody's serve undoubtedly the best kebabs in Camden Town and a range of daily stews served with rice or chips. Very friendly staff and high quality of food and general meal / restaurant presentation.

I love this place so much in comparison to other turkish places ive tried this has to be hands down the best donnor place ever, portions are huge and overwhelming, their fresh naan bread is delicious accompanied with their sauces, lamb shank is tasty, decor is decent (i tend to avoid places which are highly decorated where the food quality is low), have clean toilets visited kilburn branch many times and camden branch first time... highly recommended... it isn't cheap but for quality food why not pay a good price

Over-priced for what it is, but nice sandwich wraps for on the go, drinks are nasty as they suppose to be fresh but made in a fast juicer rather than a slow juicer so before you get it already you have lost half the nutrition.
