Reviews of Tian fu

Absolutely fantastic!! I had the pork belly (pictured) and my boyfriend had the Gong Boa Chicken with peanuts. Best Sichuan I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
A. O. S. V.
Good food, arrived lightning fast. The sauces had sank to the bottom so had to mix it around a bit. Cold noodles are the best I've had, could have used a little more spices in the dry wok.
H. J.
Food was testy and not greasy. Staff are friendly. We had a nice weekend dinner there.
A. L.
The spicy fried beef (not sure if this is the exact name) was SO tasty I’ve never had anything like it! The staff member were really nice and accommodating when we had 2 small children. Definitely would recommend
c.
Some of the best Sichuan food in London. Friendly, helpful staff. A great experience.
A. L.
Lovely place to visit with friends and family. We went there for hotpot and the place did not disappoint. In addition, lovely range of Szechuan dishes in the menu.
The place was clean and tidy, and the staff of the place are super friendly and attentive. Won’t disappoint, I recommend!
Z. M.
Love the prawn chow mein, my fave. Menu is enormous which does make one question how much of it is fresh. I’ve ate in and ordered takeaway. Prawn chowmein comes in preheated container with plastic paper you rip ontop, which shows it is not made to order - still does not effect quality. Some food is not a good as others. But overall satisfying. I go regularly. Kind staff.
P. J.
The place to be, when you are craving for some Sichuan cuisine. The food is rather consistent. You can come here for hot pot too. Delicious spicy food.
S. T.
Very tasty food. Good waitresses. Good service. They even gave us a take away plate free. It was 30 pence.

Absolutely awesome place to visit. Authentic dishes in a calm and clean environment. Good for groups too.
We have tried the spicy and chicken soup hot pot , ordered the weirdest items we could find on the list and loved every moment of cooking , anticipating and tasting . If your not keen on unusual foods I would recommend the tender beef , ham and chicken all delicious cooked in the soup .
Before we went there I have read the reviews, and have to say PEOPLE there is nothing wrong with the service ,stop being so sensitive! We have experienced just the right amount of attendance , all staff members friendly and helpful. Great experience with a moderate price point.
There is a wheelchair accessible entrance , however the toilet facilities are downstairs with no other access.
W. Y.
Very good and delicious food.
P. K. L.
Fresh but oily food and the prices are expensive for the area. The fish special we ordered while delicious it was far too oily and spicy than needed. Fish it’s grilled but pointless if basked in a heavy chilli oil soup. The seating is spacious and clean. Staff service was average and but the friendliness could be better. I didn’t feel as comfortable as I should considering spending money to eat. It will be my first and last visit.

A little gem situated right next door to Westfield Shopping Centre, the service was fantastic, the food yummy. Reasonably priced. Atmosphere was lovely, ideal enough to being a date or just out with friends and family.
A. G.
Delicious food. Service was not great as it was busy but this gem for authentic Szechuan cuisine is definitely a must try. Make a reservation otherwise it’s difficult to get a table as it’s very busy.
S. t.
The signature dishes are authentic, consistent and tasty! Fish in chilli oil, double cooked pork are your safe bet! It has a pretty good all you can eat hot pot buffet too at £20/head. Decor is the area to improve.
M. M.
Went to Tian Fu on Sunday evening, was not too busy, we got a table quickly. All waiters were chinese. I wanted table water, was served a bottle instead. Fair enough people doing business. Had sour spicy sichuan style soup. Tasted exactly like in china! Tumbs up for that!!! Prices bit dear. Won tong soup with 4 dumplings 4.20gbp?!?! Insane! I guess a good deal is hot pot, 20GBP per head, eat ad much ad u want, but I missed this offer. Will come back to try it out next time
A.
I always come and eat here when I visit Westfield.
I usually order hot pot but this time we were able to order a la carte menu. The good thing is they have pictures for most of the menu so you actually know what you're getting.
Taste and presentation are just ok. You get what you pay for.
P. R.
Fantastically authentic Sichuan cuisine. If you're not used to eating real Chinese food and real Chinese service this probably isn't the place for you. The steamed sea bass we had covered in tofu, bamboo, mountains of chilies and Sichuan peppercorns by the bucket load was marvelous. I'd certainly recommend it. I see a few reviews regarding the level of service, I'm afraid that's what makes it better!
A. “.
Authentic Szechuan cuisine. Very efficient service and staffs are friendly. They also do hot pot which is a great option for a cold winter night!
L. H.
Hearty, wholesome and value for money.
This is a true gem in what can sometimes be a very overcrowded and flat dining scene in Shepherds Bush.
Unassuming, it is almost out of sight between the Westfield Shopping Centre and Shepherds Bush Green.
We were greeted by possibly the happiest man on the planet, who showed us to our seat and made us feel incredibly welcome.
As we weren’t wanting a large meal, we shared Dim Sum and Crispy Duck. All food tasted fresh to order, with the distinct lack of Grease you tend to find in other Chinese restaurants in the area.
Crispy Duck was succulent, with a great homemade Hoisin Sauce on the side.
Best Part: the Price. Will become a favourite of mine!
S. T.
Nice place. Food is good apart from the ribs. The ribs was dry and hard. The chicken in bamboo shoots and chilli oil was nice. Good service nice people. Very busy for dinner.
H. K.
The food was absolutely delicious and everyone was so kind. The best duck in spicy sauce I've ever had! Can't recommend this place enough <3 Also, I'm on a gluten free and dairy free diet because of intolerances - no problems there either and I'm feeling great.
M. T.
Authentic si Chuan food at reasonable prices! The portions are huge and if you're feeling overwhelmed by the dishes on the menu, the friendly waiters will help you out! Will definitely be back to try more dishes
A. H.
Good quality hotpot, fresh ingredients and a nice atmosphere.
I would give 5* if the pints weren’t so overpriced.
P. W.
One of my absolute favourite Chinese restaurants in London. This is a Sithuan style restaurant and they do a great hot pot
M. W.
A bit hit-and-miss w the dishes — some things are top notch (水煮鱼), others a bit less so. But find the good dishes and you'll keep coming back. We do.
e. s.
When we first saw the restaurant we laughed and thought just another Chinees restaurant...but when we went for diner it was Amazing good. Our friend is indian but speaks mandarin and ordered some different dishes, legendary tofu, spicey slighes pork and sea baars. The fish was absolutly stunningly good. Keep up the good work and i will are you during my next visit!
K.
It's one of the only authentic and better Sichuan restaurants in London, according to some of my friends who are familiar and fond with the cuisine. Being a big fan of spice and chillis, they definitely exceeded my expectations and the food quality more than hit the mark with extensive use of Sichuan peppercorns throughout their dishes.
Unfortunately, it's the staff and customer service that left a bittersweet mental aftertaste. Specifically, they could've been a more personable and kind to us as we sensed they were getting agitated and losing their patience when a member of our group wasn't sure what she wanted (the place wasn't completely full during our visit). For this reason, we cannot easily recommend Tian fu for the overall experience but as far as the food is concerned, it's definitely up there.
D. N.
Excellent authentic Chinese food. Great portion size. Very friendly staff as well. I had a slow cooked pork belly dish and it literally melted in my mouth. Would definitely recommend!
C. G.
Great price and lots to chose from. I like coming here and there isn’t a rush to leave. Came at 20:30 on a Saturday and it was perfect. Happy to go back.
P. K.
Why do I keep finding Restaurants in this area which do not have a flat entrance or another way out. Would it be possible to get rid of the step as you come in? Why oh why do I always have to ask staff for the bill, not good customer service when I want to go.
P. S.
This place is very popular with Chinese customer because the food is quite authentic. They also offer all you can eat hot pot and overall service is fast and efficient. Not for everyone but if you like more authentic Chinese then I would recommend it!
P. M.
Really enjoyed my meal here and it was the most authentic Chinese food I have had outside of China.
P. C. B.
Nice place to have real chinese food. Good service and friendly staff. To say something I don't like, the decoration seems to be a bit old. Anyway: Recommended!
B.
Food and service was great! The dishes came quite fast, within 10minutes of ordering.
J. H.
I went many times there.Fantastic lamb with cumin seeds, service was very good, and house wine good. I was not impressed with sweet and sour chicken, but everything else was fantastic. Definitely, I will go back again. They have a new menu.
I went back a few times, but food is getting worse. Staff is very helpful as always
E. B.
It's rare to find shredded potatoes with vinegar at Chinese restaurants, so I was very excited to see it on the menu. A friend of mine from Beijing used to make them for me, and Tian Fu's were just as good as hers. The pork dumplings were also fantastic.
S. C.
I’ve gone three times now and never has it disappointed. Friendly staff who get you a table even if you haven’t made a reservation on a busy Saturday evening! The food is delicious and you leave a very happy customer.
M. F.
The food is just gorgeous and the service is amazing. Our waitress was more than happy to help and elevated the experience. She gave us an idea for the different flavour profiles (hot pot) to make sure we order the food that‘s right for us. Loved it!
V. Y.
Eaten here 3 times and it’s really good! I love their hot and sour soup and also their chicken dishes. Never disappoints :)
S. A.
Came for the hot pot buffet. Good food and service was prompt.
T. N.
Excellent and reasonably priced hot pot with real sichuan spices. 23£ per person AYCE gives you a great selection of ingredients and an authentic hot pot experience.
A. G. P. (.
I had fried squid with salt and pepper. Also diet coke. It cost around 13 pounds. I found the quantity to be very little and there was no rice with the food. Rice is a cheap supplement to add with these kind of food, thus no reason to add it for such a low quantity and high price. The food itself was good though.
B. C.
Expectacular what an explosion of flavour and fresh food
The waitress was out of this world the staff all very interactive and just can't wait to go back
J. “. B.
Nice surprise. Went here on a whim to discover a nice pretty authentic restaurant. Missed out on a hot pot. Will definitely go back to try it out!
R. K.
Giving the 3 star just for the amazing food, service was terrible! I booked a table for 6 two weeks ago and they provided a table for 4 when we got there. I can understand the business mind of making the most profit out of it , but it would be better to consider the customers that you will be losing!
A. K.
I had a lovely time here! We had a lovely waitress (Fan) who helped with condiments and made the hotpot experience amazing. Will definitely be coming back again :)
H. T.
Great hot pot, great service, just hope it can have more different ingredients.
K. P.
I visit this excellent restaurant many times because I like the good food that is exist in this place. The team is extraordianrillyremarkably friendly and qualified. The service is impressively quick. Needless to say, the food they serve is first-rate. I ate there many times and I was never disappointed. The expense is fair. I recommend this place to all my friends.
J. H.
Impressive introduction to Szechuan cuisine, thank you
D. H.
Always fantastic food. Very nice staff. Not a bad word to say, honestly my favourite Chinese restaurant in London
Z. V.
Probably the best Sichuan restaurant with authentic dishes I know in London. Staff is friendly and attentive.
M. L.
This is my default option for Chinese in Shepherd’s Bush. Extensive menu with excellent range and a variety of challenging options. This restaurant has been sporting the Hot pot way before the trend!
The restaurant has large lazy Susan round tables which is great for a social meal. Couples can take a window seat and watch the world go by.
Altogether a very traditional upmarket Chinese experience with Chinese clientele - speaks loudly for the food and service. Always an enjoyable establishment to take in some London culture! #Chinesefood #Chineseshepherdsbush #chineserestaurant
W. T.
A little disappointed. The item was described as stir fried, when it was deep fried, then stir fried. I was trying to stay away from all the fats.
But it was tasty.
S. B.
The food is wonderful and the service is great. It was great to get a table straight away on a Saturday evening! Will definitely eat here again.
D. K.
My chinese coworker recommended this place and i Love their food sooo much! I will visit again :)
A. O.
Covid safe take away experience. We ordered at the door with masks on and waited outside for 10min for our order to get ready. It's worth keeping the mask on while waiting as online order delivery cyclists come often to pick up they package. It can get crowded in front of the entrance during lunch and dinner times.
B. B.
Love this place and I am a regular here because the food is so good! Reasonable prices and generous portions of some very authentic Chinese dishes make this one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London. Staff are usually quite polite and will help with ordering if you need some advice. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and I recommend the hot pot if you are hungry! (lots of choices and unlimited rounds for £22.80pp)
F. J.
Consistently great sichuanese food (must have been there 20+ times by now). Try the hot pot or tuck into boiled beef with chili, green beans with pork and garlic or the dan dan noodles - you really can't go wrong with this underappreciated gem.
l. k.
Very interesting place. Took me by surprise. You are going to a Chinese restaurant but it doesn't taste like local restaurant. I have stopped eating Chinese food because it is sooo sweet. Loved the food here. Not sweet at all and the dishes are very different and full of flavour. Some are very spicy but amazing. Will be returning soon.
g. s.
Best Chinese Restaurant in West London. Have been coming here for ten years or so, always amazed at how good the food and service is. Great authentic dishes that are hard to find and a very dynamic menu.
J. L.
This is the first time eating Chinese food outside of Chinatown, and I was impressed. This is actually a Sichuan restaurant so I was a bit worried that their dishes would have been too hot for me. But actually the levels were manageable and all the dishes we ordered were pretty authentic. We got the chicken with bamboo appetizer, main dishes of braised pork, stir-fry prawns, this amazing bean dish and their soup-based noodles. Every single one was mouth-watering. Even when I was full I had to eat more, it was that good. They serve the rice in a big bowl (we were of four people) so it was an invitation to be gluttonous. The service completed the experience, they were very friendly and funny too. Definitely will be back.
P. D.
Very tasty authentic food. Extremely friendly service and value for money is also great. We had DimSum as a starter and the duck with mushrooms as a main course. They have also a decent wine list with reasonable prices. Definitely a good choice to visit the restaurant.
S. C.
Very good and authentic Sichuan food, from someone who knows Sichuan food. Really surprised us as we were expecting run of the mill Chinese food. As good or better than Barshu at a lower price and no crowds. We were there at lunch on New Years Day when nothing else was open, hoping for a bowl of Tan Tan noodles but alas, no noodles here so we ordered a full lunch and it was fabulous. Good Chinese style service (a bit brusque, not much niceties but efficient), no surprise. Clean and nice interiors. Good place for authentic Sichuan food if you don't want to schlep all the way to Central or East London for good Sichuan food.
M. Z.
Very good food at the restaurant. However only three stars since one of the waiters was very rude. We were one hour and a bit into our buffet and an elder waiter was hurrying us, saying people were waiting outside and asking wether he can take the food we ordered away?? It was 9pm and nobody was waiting outside when we left 20 minutes later. Extremely unacceptable service. It ruined our New Year’s Eve dinner. It was an older waiter, half bold, I am aware that some other reviews also mentioned this particular waiter’s behaviour. Keep away if the quality of service is important to you.
P. M.
This restaurant has a very interesting and varied menu that states it is szechuan in style but has some very traditional dishes and other tables had small gas stoves and were cooking bbq style almost. Some dishes are very spicy with lots of chillies so if you like it hot, this is the place for you.
B. Z.
Pros: Dishes here are delicious overall. They are authentic Chinese food, and the flavour is a bit sweet and less spicy.
Cons: The two words “Tian Fu” or 天府 means land of abundance and represents Sichuan, where is famous for its spicy food. However, most food here are not spicy enough. Secondly, the waiters (especially the one at the reception) can be rude sometimes, talking to us inappropriate jokes in Chinese.
A. J.
If you want westernized Chinese food you probably won't appreciate how good Tian fu is. It's an authentic family style food from sichuan and its just the best! My favorite Chinese restaurant in London!
E. H.
I ordered sweet and sour chicken and rice...it was absolutely delicious 🤤 Awesome service and everything , I will definitely be coming back 💖
A. E.
Absolutely great!. Went there for lunch and got a table for me and my husband in no time. The food was delicious, as spicy as indicated in the menu, and very flavorful. So far one of the best Chinese in London.
I. D.
Sichuan-specific restaurant located in the Shepard's Bush area with great food. I ate hot pot with mixed soup, half spicy and half pickled soup. The ingredients for hot pot were good and fresh, but unfortunately the mushroom and vegetable portions were a bit small. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are okay.
M. C.
Authentic Szechuan food. If you like chilli and pepper this place is for you. One of the great restaurants of Shepherds Bush
J. F.
Best place for hot pot so far... Service is good and price is much cheaper than the ones in chinatown
D. W.
Easily one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London. Best tasting sichuan food I've tried here.
D. B.
Great Chinese restaurant. I have been here with a friend of mine a few times and the food has always been very good. I have tried some new dishes that I wouldn't have thought of trying at more conventional Chinese restaurants. It is often busy which is a good sign. Would definitely recommend.
S. P.
Absolutely amazing food, great choice and the best service I have ever had in London! The staff is friendly and welcoming and absolutely happy to assist with any requests we had. It was a great evening and we will definately come back. Would recommend to family and friends.
A. L.
The hot pot option here is a set price which may be why the staff can be slow to bring out requested ingredients. We didn't always get what we selected, even though we asked several times. The meat could also do with being slightly thinner for quicker cooking more suitable to hot pot dinning.
The regular al la carte menu is decent with a good array of Northern Chinese food that is flavoursome. The prices are reasonable for the food you get and the service is mostly friendly.
M. H.
Dining with friends from overseas, they were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, a firm local favourite. Varied menu in the Sichuan style of Chinese cooking. Knowledgeable staff, food comes quickly.
S. Y.
Very helpful staff, reasonably priced. Subtle difference to the normal Chinese but all of the usual options are there.
We hadn't booked. No problem getting a table but within half an hour it was packed so it is worth booking ahead.
Good restaurant to meet up in.
A. M.
The food was wonderful, delicious and great for the price! However extreamly disappointed in the mannerism and professionalism of the staff!! I booked for 8 people in advance for mum's 50th birthday. Having arrived our server crammed us into a medium table next to a bigger empty table for 10. When asked if we could move to the empty table, we we're told that it was booked for 10 people without hesitation. Once our food came it was hard to eat and share as our table lacked the space, however still enjoyed the meal and company. Having stayed till they almost closed the booking for 10 never arrived which was quiet infuriating specially as the hassle to eat could've been avoided. Only 2 menu were given between the 8 and when the food we ordered couldn't fit on the table we could see the judgemental looks on the servers as they tried to clear dishes in a rush, some with still food on it. Delicious but rude.
R.
Service was ok but not exactly great. Ordered from the lunch menu and got a king prawn chow mein. Reasonable waiting time after ordering but was quite disappointed as it was very greasy! I literally held the plate at an angle to let the oil drip out of the noodles which also lacked flavour. For a restaurant which adds on service charge to your bill, you would have expected your drink to be served in a glass too! Received mine in its can!
f. g.
Authentic sichuan food. Chinese food good quality, good price. I recommend the hot pot with 2 soups, one spicy, and use the cabinet for the sauce that has to be made al gusto. The menu has lots of photos of the dishes so if if it is your first time it will be easy. The staff will suggest things to order also, they are quite friendly. The deserts are not a joke either. A gem of Shepherds Bush.
U. T.
I really liked the food and cosy atmosphere. Above all, however , i enjoyed service. The lady working there was so warm, friendly and helpful- it really made the place to stand out. I will definitely be coming back
N. V.
If you want dynamite Szechuan food that is completely authentic, come to this place. Dishes here are fresh and flavorful, and meat is super tender. Veggies are incredible and translucent. I can't say enough good things. Look at the photo!
K. M.
Great food. Spotty service. Terrible wine list. I should expand on this...now my go-to for Chinese food. My Chinese relatives like it a lot. Can’t beat the hot pot and you MUST have the boiled fish to say you have lived. BYOB (with corkage) is allowed, to make up for the dodgy wine offerings, but to be frank, just drink beer. Book early if you want this for Chinese New Year.
M. A.
Such a large variety of dishes, staff are really friendly, and I absolutely love their A27 chicken dish and E9 pork dish!
E. B.
What wonderful flavours! Fresh, tasty and definitely not afraid of spice. We ordered chilli aubergine and the eel glass noodle hotpot - both delicious. Will be returning!
Y. H.
Just want to say:"Thanks god, let me find this restaurant."
My friend and I went shopping in Westfield together, and saw this restaurant on the way.
Once we walked in, we had very warm welcome from the staff, they have their patient with us. There are very tasty traditional Chinese dishes with manager recommended, and about the hot pot I need to tell everyone that if you have the hot pot in here, you will keep coming back all the time, maybe you never try this before, trust me, you just find the new land.
after all, thank you for watch this review, and a secret I need to tell you, the head chef's father was the only chef that Chinese Chairman Deng hired. shhhhhhhhhh..
S. S.
vegetarian hot and sour soup & veg dry fried green beans are 💯
A. T.
Restaurant serving good northern Chinese cuisine and Lovely Chinese hotpot. Perfect for dinner after shopping in Westfield in the winter, enjoying your lovely piping hot steaming hot pot when you see envy in the eyes of the people passed by through the windows of the restaurant. Remember to ask to top up your gas when you pot look a bit sad....
A. R.
We recently moved to the area and couldn't resist giving this restaurant a try after seeing the delicious food through the windows.
We had the hotpot, which is the obvious choice and seems to be the speciality here. If you've never had Chinese hotpot, the idea is you cook the food yourself in broth simmering over a small gas stove on your table.
Both the spicy and fragrant broths were delicious and for a set price we were allowed to order as much of any foods to cook in it. The spicy Sichuan broth is full of pepper corns and chillies so be careful if you don't like your food too spicy.
As it was our first time we ordered a bit of everything, which included, meat, fish, vegetables and various kinds of offal that we couldn't quite identify, all heaped onto a large platter.
The staff were extremely polite, although a little slow to bring the bill. This is not a place to eat if you're in a rush, but it's a delicious and unique experience for a reasonable set price.
J. M.
Absolutely amazing food, great choice and the best service I have ever had in London! The staff is friendly and welcoming and absolutely happy to assist with any requests we had. It was a great evening and we will definately come back.
J. F.
Wonderful food, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The portions were quite generous. We were only sorry we were limited for time. Still now that we've found it we'll make sure to visit Shepards Bush especially..
L. Z.
Sichuan hot pot was very good @19.95 per person with unlimited re-fill of meat, fish, veg, etc. Friendly service. It's a must if you like real Sichuan food. It's nothing like the Kong Pao chicken from your local takeaway.
v. T.
Very tasty authentic Chinese food, used to come to this restaurant at least once a month with my friends. We all love the food so much and their hot pot are very good too
l.
Around shepherds Bush? Craving for Chinese? Don't look elsewhere, just go to Tian Fu and order a nice hotpot, you won't be disappointed by the food or the price. Fast service, plenty of space and huge variety of things to order, including the famous hot pot. For drinks, they have teas, beers, soft drinks and wine, but better avoid this last one since it's not great! We'll be back!
H. B.
What a fantastic place to come and eat. Lovely staff and friendly people. One waiter helped us through our very first hot pot by putting together his favourite sauce - highly recommended. Tsingtao is very good too!
A. H.
I really liked their dishes and customer service, fantastic area right next to my home. The staff members are always super friendly. Will come visit again.
H. W.
Nice food. Very different to what I am used to. A friend and I chose a menu where You literally cook your meal at your table. You choose a broth and choose the meat you want to eat. You place this in the broth and let it cook. Takes about 5 mins. Meat is very fresh and tender. You must order what you can eat they do let you know that you must not waste food. Or you can order food like chow mein, rice like any other resturant but we wanted to try something different. The broth needed a little more flavour though. I had a bowl where I added garlic paste and soy sauce with a little of the broth and would mix the meat, veg and seafood before eating. It did taste much better.
T. C.
Varied, interesting menu. Spacious room. Surprised by fresh and authentic ingredients. Had morning glory greens("tung choy?") in garlic sauce. Nice steamed fish that was a tad salty but very delicate and fresh tasting. Wonton in a fantastic broth!
Service warmed up to us once they knew we weren't trouble makers. Nice change from an English pub.
E. C.
This is not your average Chinese restaurant, it is very authentic and spicy Szechwan food. There is a huge menu but don't be fooled by the cheap prices- these dishes are huge and meant for sharing! Good for large groups who want to taste some different flavours
L. S.
Really authentic Chinese food!staff are very nice and helpful. If you are into Sichuan cuisine and hotpot, you will definitely like this restaurant.
M. H.
Sichuan style food, great choice, and well prepared. Always busy, and well patronised. This is authentic food made by chefs from Sichuan province. Helpful staff to run through menu options.
Note this is REAL Chinese food from this particular province, for those other reviewers who have not travelled outside of Europe or their own country then perhaps they should patronise the type of restaurant food that they are more familiar with?
As a regular customer it is difficult to understand the minds of certain people who have a limited experience of world travel, culture and global food styles.
N. X.
Whoever says the food is oily has clearly never traveled to China before. Service always great, friendly staff & food never disappoints. Food always makes me miss China .
L.
Honestly the hot pot is rather on the higher cost (£22.80) but its worth it! Not only because of the hot pot itself, which offers unlimited ingredients and you choose your broth (we are quite sensitive to spices, so we went for mild chicken broth); but also becaue of the older chinese man working there, he is just so kind and smiley and happy. He made our day. And that is everytime i go to Tian Fu. Cheers to you young soul!
E. C.
Extraordinary food. Doesn't look very promising when you arrive but the food was very authentic and amazing. Difficult menu to navigate and of course ordered to much. Would do it differently if I returned. But it was an experience but not for the faint hearted.
T. N.
Excellent food and very fast service. Prices are good especially for the portion sizes (I couldn't finish mine unfortunately). The staff were ever so friendly and I will be back.
S. S.
I used to live close to this place and regularly found myself in there 2-3 times a week. I have never tried the hot pot, couldn't quite get over the offal factor but I will try it one day. The dishes that I find the best are the boiled beef, boiled fish, ma po tofu, cumin lamb, tian fu special fish and the gong bao chicken. If you want a vegetable side the morning glory is exquisite. This place never fails to deliver. It went through a bit of a ropey patch a couple of years ago when the food and portions were not quite as good as they used to be, but I can safely say that Tian Fu is back to it's good old self! I can't recommend it enough if you want an authentic taste of Szechuan food.
P. C.
A little expensive for the hot pot but the food was amazing and the portion size was good. Very authentic and well-prepared. 10% service charge. The staff were very nice.
E. M.
Best Chinese food in the UK as far as I'm concerned. Szechuan cuisine...their speciality is hot pots and it seems that what the Chinese people eat here but it's not 100% my bag. We always have crispy squid. Which is not your average salt and pepper (be wary of dried chillies)...and is seriously amazing. Dung po pork knuckle....slow cooked pork in a sweet spicy sauce will bok choy round the edge. (this is probably in my top dishes in london) and green beans fried with pork mince and preserved vegetables......this stuff is to die for. Portions are big. The dishes are expensive but are designed to share. Eat here as much as you possibly can. It's incredible. Got to love regional chinese food. Yuuuuuuummmmm
D. C.
Great food, be adventurous with the menu and it won't disappoint. Complaints about service must be one offs (or crazy fussy people) as it's always been ok for us. Not so fast when it's really busy, but sit back and relax.
T. B. (.
Great menu and options. Very traditional Chinese food. If you are looking for authentic Chinese (not western Chinese) food then look no further! I would certainly go again and highly recommend this restaurant!
C. B.
Glorious sichuan food full of oily heat and aromatic sichuan peppercorns. The exterior of the building is a little off-putting, but the quality of the food matches if not exceeds that I've had elsewhere in the UK. Had a cold tripe dish (my first time eating tripe), melting tender white fish braised in oil and a truckload of dried chillies, moreish dan dan noodles, and fish-fragrant aubergine - one of my favourites. Keen to return to have their Ma Po Dofu, along with something else I've never been brave enough to try in other restaurants (maybe jellyfish!).
A. D.
Great food and fair prices. Well worth asking the staff for their recommendations!!! Sadly service charge doesn't go to staff though for some reason - otherwise 5 stars
A. K.
Every Asian person I know raves about the hotpot here. So I tried it with a friend who also loves spicy food
The food was good, well it looked good. But it was drenched in chillis. Normally that wouldn't bother me, as I like spicy flavourful food.
However my bowl was 1/3 oil, 1/3 chilli and 1/3 rice when I finished. The combination of oil + chilli made the meal as a whole unsatisfying.
It felt like the chilli was there to be conquered rather than enhancing the flavours.
L. M.
Excellent food with a huge menu to choose from. I'm pretty new to Szechuan food so i'm still working my way through the menu, I think i'll try one of the hot-pot's next time!
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Great Service, great food. I'll definately go back.
f. g.
Authentic sichuan food. Chinese food good quality, good price. I recommend the hot pot with 2 soups, one spicy, and use the cabinet for the sauce that has to be made al gusto. The menu has lots of photos of the dishes so if if it is your …
N. W.
Fantastic food with very large potions. Spicy but not so much that it mars the flavour. The hotpot is great too. Highly recommended
M. W.
Chillies hot Chinese restaurant. The fried long green bean is excellent. Crispy fried beef with chillies is also good. Portions are big. You can share among friends.

M. H.
Very fast service. My friends and I didn't have to wait for long for food to be served. Most dishes were good but I found them all a little too sweet to my taste.
Y. Z.

Y. E.
So good ! Everything was perfect and yummy !
C.
Great quality Sichuan cuisine, top service! Falls down a little on the bill.. £65 bill for what we’d have thought £40-45 was the fair price.
H. N.
Had a great time. Had a 3 hour hot pot session. They never rushed us out ever. Great experience. Good food, great selection.
K. H. N.
Nicely spiced dishes, tremendous Hot-Pot, worth trying the stuffs like eels and frog legs! Must go if you love Sichuan style cuisines.
K. D.

T. S.
I was impressed with the quality of takeaway food - will try more authentic options next time!
L. G.
A cosy place with Sichuan food, but unless you are familiar with the quisine, the dishes can very much be a hit or miss. The hot pot was nice, but expensive.
H. R.

A bit spicy for my boring tongue..but even that food was lovely, fresh, huge portions and lovely staff...also they were very well organized and food came fast .Def will go again.
t. t.
Authentic Chinese food ... loved the black fungus salad (I've never had anything like it, but was feeling adventurous), which felt like kelp to chew and crunch on but which was incredibly flavoured!
K. H.
Spicy and soft bowl dish is very nice. If I want to have spicy food, I will come back again.
A. K.
It is too expensive if you just want European style "Chinese" food but there is a selection of more traditional cuisine that you don't get many other places.
N. W.
Fantastic food with very large potions. Spicy but not so much that it mars the flavour. The hotpot is great too. Highly recommended
V.
I love everything about this Chinese restaurant, both staff and food are above reproach. Only cons: the old fashioned style of the overall restaurant... but whatever!
L. Y. s.

Szechuan style Chinese restaurant accompanied with superb taste of a bit hot Szechuan food. Good for family as well as with a group of friends to enjoy.
A. K.
very very interesting menu, for the intrepid, not cheap and amusingly crudely served, but definitely worth delving into. reassuringly patronised by large groups of native businessmen.
G. G.
Er, great food, be honest with you .
W. y. C.
Nice authentic chinese food but slow service and there seems to be young unexperienced waiters serving you.
G. L.
Thoroughly enjoyed the buffet hotpot here. Fresh ingredients, friendly service. £27 pp.
J. S.
Consistently good food and service. Not QUITE Szechuan levels of spice (it is very slightly tailored to European tastes) but enough to still be authentic.
J. F.
Love the food here, truly authentic Chinese cuisine, nice and spicy Szechuan
L. M.
For honest , this hot pot is the best store in my journey , but I must say it won't be better than hot pots in Taiwan .

(Translated) Originally, I wanted to give a 5-star praise. Their Sichuan cuisine is the most authentic I have ever eaten in London. It is no exaggeration to say that I have tasted home. But I removed one star because of the waiter, not because of poor service. On the contrary, the service quality and attitude are quite good. Except for one person, a half-bald waiter in a black shirt, I don't need you to give me directions when I order. Me and I are telling another waiter what I want to order, because my friend and I have not decided on a few dishes for some reasons, so he directly inserts the conversation between us, which is indeed more efficient. But as an adult and as a waiter without any basic qualities, I am curious whether his parents and teachers have taught him not to interrupt when others are talking. This makes me not very happy to eat this time.

(Translated) Tianfu Buyi is the most authentic Sichuan restaurant I have ever eaten in London. Their dishes can always explain my suffering in a foreign country from not being able to eat the spicy and spicy hometown flavor. His boiled fish is oily but not greasy. Just when it was served, the boiling hot oil and the aroma of dried chili and Chinese pepper came out, and it immediately increased the appetite. Mapo tofu, that kind of spicy and spicy food is good! There are also grilled fish. The ingredients are really sufficient. All kinds of dishes cover the top of the fish, and a large pot is served. When eating, candles are placed on the bottom to keep the food warm. It is really satisfying! Also, there are hot pot, which is self-service! Cheap and delicious. The clear soup base of the hot pot is thick chicken soup, and the spicy soup part is the hot and spicy oil boiled by his private secret method. That is fragrant, hemp! Recently, their family has produced a lot of new cuisines, such as taro chicken, Huoxiangyu and so on. Don’t miss this good Sichuan restaurant!
