Reviews of Tinseltown

I can't believe this place still exist..
Used to go here back in the day.
The place does need a bit of a revamp.. But the staff where so friendly.
Also was a bit nervous as they didn't really have anything in place foara Covid.. e.g. No temperature checks! The staff didn't have any mask on!
No screen inbetwen seating.!!!!!!!
.
Luckly I did have all the stuff I needed in my bag to protect me and my family.
One thing for sure I wasn't disappointed with the food.. Very tasty.. Nice and hot. The hotdog and fat chips with the garlic mayo. Yummy!!!!
Just nice and simple....
Lastly our server was so polite and friendly, he was fantastic and he was really busy.
A.
Cajun wings are the best! Milkshakes are really good too but please bring back the monday Tuesday wednesday deals you used to do!
A. D.
I called today to make an order and the gentleman Anouar pointed me to the website for extra discounts on the food! His recommendations were perfect and the website was easy to use. Will be a regular visit for me now.
A. J.
Good for late night food. Vast menu with excellent milk shakes as well.
Service can be a bit slow during busy hours, but worth it especially as quite large and generally had tables available.
V. T.
Food lovely, staff really friendly and helpful. My only issue is the toilets are so so bad, they really need refurbishing. They are clean but because they look so run down they feel unclean and they smelt of poo.
Q. C.
Great experience amazing customer service and such a polite manager. Delicious BBQ burger and Skittles milkshake with the option to take whatever you don’t finish home (very helpful)

Came here for dessert after a meal out elsewhere. It's an old place that's located in a basement. It could do with some updating but nevertheless it's comfortable and spacious. It was a bit warm though, you could feel the heat as soon as you got in. Service and staff were friendly and good and we were served quick. The desserts were delicious!
I. B.
Amazing food and ambience. Absolutely loved the Piri Piri burger!
S. M.
Best lunchtime service ever - I am a regular Tinseltown eater, usually evenings when it's hustling and bustling but that day me my family came at lunch time mid week after my younger sisters graduation. Brother Anouer / Algerian man was so welcoming and helpful. His a smiley character, his efforts all was appreciated by me and my family. Should I mention the freebies 🤫Thank you Tinseltown for giving us a very wonderful experience.

What a throwback! Been back after years and the food is on point and service even better. Big shout out to the the superstar Manager Anwar who brings an incredible energy to the place. Great milkshake from Hillary too..Tinseltown is lucky to have people like this! Won’t leave it another few years and will be back very soon. #footsapp

Great food, great service and the Ambassador shake is amazing. Big burgers, loaded fries, a great place to go with friends and colleagues.

The milkshakes are amazing!
I’ve been going to Tinseltown for milkshakes for years.
I’ve previously been for food, but it’s pretty poor and there are much better alternatives.
However, the chocolate bar milkshakes are consistently good. You cannot go wrong with the snickers, Oreo, Ferrero Rocher. I think there used to be more options in the past but the chocolate bar selection at present is decent enough.
They should really open some milkshake bars across london.

Impulsive trip at 9.30pm! Funky decor and attentive staff! The Hallomi fries were mouth-watering and cooked to perfection, it seemed expensive for a starter at £6 or so but when I saw the portion size and quality of the food it was reasonable! I could of added a side and eaten it as a main! The hotdogs were meaty and delicious and the homemade slaw was everything I craved! It was actually quite quiet when we went and the tables were positioned spaciously. My meal came to about £18 but there’s always deals on for example 20% for students on a Thursday and other deals throughout the week. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but it’s London!
N. C.
We came on a Friday afternoon for lunch and were able to get the weekday lunch deal. For £7.99, you get a main, one side, one dip and a drink (shakes are a separate category and will cost you a bit more). I got the cloudy lemonade and OMG garlic chicken wrap with the burger dipping sauce and homemade coleslaw. The lemonade and chicken wrap were delicious, though I did forget to ask about removing the red onions, as I’m not a fan of raw onions. The coleslaw had tons of red onions, which I didn’t know, and some pieces were not sliced thinly enough, making it very overpowering. The burger dipping sauce was so-so. It seemed to be mayonnaise mixed with other mystery sauces. Not bad, but I preferred the garlic mayo sauce in my wrap, so I didn’t use the dip much. My husband liked dipping his fries in it, though.
The place was a little dark and quite green—literally, and the music did not evoke the atmosphere of an American diner, but it was unique and funky. Also, I noticed that there were vegan options, so it’s nice to know of a place where I can take my vegan friends.
N. M.
My wife and I visited during lunch on a Friday, expecting it to be busy. However, there were very few people here. As a result service was very good and our food came in good time (I’m not sure how it is during busier periods).
We both got the lunch deal, which is essentially a free drink with your meal. I think it represents pretty good value, as I got a burger/fries and milkshake for £10.
The milkshake was very tasty and is certainly recommended. The food itself was of a good standard, though not earth shattering in it’s quality.
You can eat in or get take away.
One negative: a kitchen porter brought trolleys of produce through the eating area on several occasions. The atmosphere isn’t exactly classic Americana already, but this intrusion was quite noisy (and surely not standard practice for restaurants).
N. Q.
The milkshakes were amazing, the burger was bland and tough and the loaded fries were in the middle. If you're going for shakes I would recommend otherwise I would suggest to be careful about the burgers.
L. Y.
Haven’t come here in awhile but its just as good as when i first went! Excellent service to.
a.
Food is decent though a little less flavorful than I thought. Ambiance really needs a update it felt a bit seedy
B. Z.
Attentive and nice staff, let us know about all the offers they had on for the day. They are not stingy with the cheese 😍. Went on a Monday around 6.30pm so there weren't many people so it was great spot to catch up with friends and the prices won't scare you👍
W.
A group of us went to Tinseltown and found the service to be a little on the poor side. Waiters/ waitresses were not visible most of the time and we'd have to get up to find someone often. I had the barbecue chicken burger and Oreo milk shake which were both actually pretty decent. My friends however didn't enjoy their food. The vanilla milkshake in particular was worse than that of McDonalds. Portion sizes are generally good and prices average, not too cheap nor expensive. What this place has going for it is that it is open till late and is halal. Maybe a visit once in 5 years is OK, otherwise nothing special.
S. A.
For once the place wasn't busy, the service was also a lot better than my past recent experience in the place. As for the food, albeit slightly expensive the food is amazing, especially all the new options they have added to the menu.
M.
I went to Tinseltown to Celebrate my 2 yr anniversary with my partner and the manager Anouar and his team have been absolutely Fantastic, the loaded chips with bacon, OMMMMGGGGGG with spring onion, the presentation was 10/10, everything was 100% certified, TINSELTOWN (FARRINGDON), Keep up the fabulous work as always. 🔥🔥🔥👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
S. N.
Undoubtedly the best Halal burger in town. The place is underground so might not get cellular signals. Try the beef variety to get the true experience. The staff is really friendly and the place is open till late
M. N.
Must try in London. One of my favorite burger restaurants in London, very delicious burgers, affordable price and great customer service. On the other hand, all meals served is Halal which makes it supreme option to choose from while your in central London.
E.
They serve the best milkshakes, my favourite is the white kinder beuno! Farringdon was the first tinsel town to be opened in London. Closes at 4am, and serves American diner type food, burgers chips, shakes etc. After midnight I got a take away and this took ages to recieve due to the queue on a Saturday night.
T. R. G.
Not as consistent as it once was. One a good night they can have very enjoyable food and amazing milkshakes.
On an off night, be prepared for a long wait and service which isn't great.
The milkshakes are phenomenal and make for a great takeaway treat.
Reservations not required, which can leave you waiting outside for a while until a table is empty on a busy night.
K. H.
Always a treat eating here! I don't think there's been a day or occasion were they have actually let us down? Big statement but definitely fits with this establishment. Food has always been consistently tasty, fresh & delicious with good sized portions.
j. s.
Good clean fast service with tasty food
A. M.
Tinseltown is ok. Not great, not Terrible... It's ok.
Their food is ok, the beef is less so but chicken is good. Definitely go for chicken when you get there. They do decent desserts.
Pictured is a peanut butter milkshake extra thick... Which is absolutely delicious. My favourite item to get from them.
The service and staff is normally very good. Staff are friendly etc. The price is also ok for what you.
M. M.
Excellent customer service & price is reasonable too. Ferrero rocher milkshake is to die for. One of the best Halal eatery in London
I. A.
Nice experience, Cajun chicken zilla . Peach 🍑 smoothly 😋
I do not recommend the waffle, it is very hard!
A. C.
Surprisingly enjoyable place! Huge portions. Hahal. Good milkshakes
P. A.
Nice ambience, good staff, great food- and served till late. Tinseltown is one of London's best late night restaurant. It's an alcohol-free zone and yes sometimes you like a glass of Pimm's with your chicken wings but it's really refreshing to come across a place where you can just have old style milkshakes ( which are absolutely delectable, btw) .
Oh and added bonus is the security at the entrance. How they make sure that the restaurant stays a safe space for everybody even at wee hours !
F. F.
it was good and I visited third time just bcoz I like the taste
V. L.
Milkshakes are amazing, burgers are decent but not great.
I. r.
Card only no cash only open till 3am used to be 24 hour.
Food 10/10 very nice but quite expensive
H. M.
Can't fault it. Friendly staff. Chill atmosphere and great food.
A. A.
New improved menu is excellent, Usual spot for me been coming for years. Great customer service as usual
M. K.
Tasty burgers, chicken wings and milkshakes. All kept in American style of late 70s
q. k.
I feel famous when I go to this HALAL american restaurant.
I used to go here a decade ago, in my uni days and the burgers, chips, butterfly chicken and shakes were always on point. No doubt about it. Stupendous!
P.S. We always got free lollipops at the end of the meal!
A.
Very sad about that place, nice location and service but the meat.... please get real ground beef !!! Milkshake was good tho
A. S.
Very good food and a very cute place. Great that is open at night, a tat bit hard to find though. There was a que outside when we arrived but had a wait only a minute or so to get in. Couldnt pay with scottish money though which was a bit of a bummer. Staff apologized many Times though and were super friendly. They took a lot of Time to show is the way to the nearest bus stop while it very busy, so that was very kind!
R. B.
Awesome food love this place
E. A.
Nice milkshakes but need to wait for them to actually defrost for an hour before you can drink them.
Z. 9.
Amazing customer service from Anouar. Very polite and respectful definitely deserves a pay rise/promotion
p. a.
I really like the restaurant it's nice and friendly
F. E.
Very friendly staff, food was on point. It's located downstairs and they were open for Covid. Located downstairs makes it a more quieter joint. For someone who hates people, I enjoyed it here. Clean and comfortable. You feel like you're disconnected with the world as there are no windows to see other or for others to see you. I personally like that.
F. H.
All I can say is loud loud loouudd😋😋😋🤩
f. l.
It's been around for a long time and is still one of the best halal burger and milkshake places. Its a pity the one in Ealing Broadway closed but this one and the one in Bayswater are still definitely worth a visit.
m. a.
the burger and fries were really good , service was good , place was clean
k. a.
I don't come here often but when I do, they never dissapoint! I recommend the burgers, the other stuff on the menu can be hit or miss...
L. B.
Lovely think Milkshake and large turkey hot dogs😋
C. L.
Tasty food, wide range, shakes proper
S. C.
It was a really nice time with Anouar who serves us, as we ordered waffles and there were really good.
Really nice staff also the waitress Christina. ☺️
T. F.
Good burgers for a reasonable price, not tried any of their other diner-like food (hot dogs, buffalo wings, waffles, shakes, etc). The ambience is a bit dour, being in a basement. Dimly lit, but not in the good ambient sense of the word, and the place, although not dirty, does feel as if it could do with a bit of sprucing up. Service is slow, even when not busy. Some other diners were visibly annoyed by this. It is not a bad place to go for a reasonable meal for a reasonable price, but you can't help feel it could be so much better without putting too much effort into it.
R. Ε. U.
I've been coming to this place on and off for a couple of years...mainly getting take away. Food is good. But the milkshakes are the BEST...the strawberry milk shake I LOVE and drive from SE London to get it. It's amazing. 😍 wish they did bigger sizes. 😊 anyway...there is a dude that works there. He is amazing...so friendly and provides excellent customer service. But don't know how name. Slim with an accent. He is awsome hes been there for years. Security team are polite and professional. Try the milk shakes. All different flavours...massive selection.
P. Z.
Asked for cheeseburger with extra cheese but got only one slice of cheese :-(
Very good burger love the burger dip
k. C.
amazing waffles and staff nice but its not fast in there
E.
Went during lunch time. The food took too long to arrive (even when we ordered only 2 chicken burgers)
Thankfully it wasn't full.
The songs were quite and I could hear my friend but the it was someone's birthday and the staff brought in a milkshake and made the music SO LOUD and must have forgotten to put it down again.
The food was good as always. Would visit again for sure!!
J. F.
There was a 30 min wait for food because the kitchen were super busy with delivery drivers, not a big deal though.
k. l.
Definition of a cheat day
Milkshakes and wings
I can understand why body builders visit this place as they offer to put protein in the milkshakes
M. T.
I love the Oreo milkshake and wings here, I've been coming here on and off for years. As much as I love the food and drinks, it is not very child or disability friendly. You have to go down stairs and has no lift and no staff upstairs to ask for help. Also there's no free parking at all, with people often getting tickets on their cars. It's not somewhere where you can go in and out.
N. S.
It started at the front door when we were asked to wait outside for 10 minutes in the cold for a table. Before we were let in only 2 people had left. When we got downstairs to the restaurant there were many empty tables available, so why we were kept outside was beyond me. Then the service was slow once seated and the chicken wings were dry. The milkshakes were good as usual but everything else lacked.
O. B.
Amazing food, amazing shake. BBQ crispy chicken wrap with jerk bbq and Oreo milkshake. Defo recommend.
Note to management- need the place updated for sure!
M. M.
Once known as the go to place for a late night fast food hit, this particular Tinseltown doesn’t have the same reputation any more. Partly because the menu hasn’t changed with the times enough and partly because it is overpriced for what it is. The food won’t disappoint, but neither will it excite. If you’re in the area and looking for some typical diner food then give it a whirl. You can’t go wrong with the Oreo milkshake either. Service is fine. Decor and ambience starting to become dated. But if there’s a group of you looking for a place where most of you will find something you’ll enjoy to eat and you’re nearby then you’ll be ok.
B.
Amazing food, fast service. Try the Ambassador Milkshake!!
D. N.
Shockingly this was my first time in ANY Tinseltown. I'm rating it 4* because my friend said this Tinseltown was comparably a good one and to be fair the service from all staff was decent. But comparing it to other American food joints for me, the food just wasn't that great. Overcooked chicken wings and an overrated VIP Ferrero rocher milkshake. Just get a plain Oreo. Also the place is cold
s. s.
Was OK menus have incorrect pricing
It defo needs a decor uplift
Those behind the counter were friendly
N. A.
Visited at 1:30 am, so was not packed but decently full. Upon entering the restaurant, given a small table to sit whilst they had 3 booths free. The rest of the booths were filled with couples also but the waiter told us we couldn’t sit in it as we were only a couple. After trying to keep the tables free for a potential party of 4+ he then sat us there after our starters! Service isn’t that great and food used to be way better before they changed the menu. They no longer offer a salad for the mains and in attempt to update the menu have unfortunately lost some of the best tasting food items.
Z. I.
Very nice food. I had the cajun chicken burger. Very succulent. Fries were nice and crispy. Also had a taste of the cajun wings and they were oh so delicious. Top marks. Quite a good pricing strategy for the lunchtime crowd. Main with side and drink or shake for a tenner. Nice.
M. M.
Never let down by the choice I've made. Always friendly service from all the branches. Farringdon is most frequented over the years with friends or family. Lamb chops amazing, burgers, steaks all fab. Quick service every time and of course the milkshakes are awesome. Am a fan of the food and the comfortable surroundings.
J. D.
We have been going here for years just for their late night milkshakes and we cannot fault it!
This time we decided to eat in and it was a very good experience and as always desert was delicious.
Staff were wonderful as usual
M. G.
This place used to be really good. But over the years it's really gone down hill. The food is overpriced for what it is. They've altered the menu and taken off many good things. The deco is outdated and the seat I sat on was ripped. There were flies we had to keep swatting away from the food. The manager said they were fruit flies from their delivery. Food was okay
S. W.
Great place. You go in and down some stairs to an underground gem. Good food. The milkshakes are second to none! Friendly staff charged my phone and helped me get a taxi because buses weren't running. So glad I went. A great London memory.
Q. S.
The burger patty is just so low quality its like cooked from frozen or its quorn beef its definitely not fresh cooked beef which you'd get at your local kebab shop. chips nice but milkshakes and desserts are the best. Other food also very average, owners need to improve on food quality urgently.
a. r.
It's a pretty decent place to eat I guess, would've given 5 stars if the waitresses were more engaging and bothered to take our order after seating us instead of leaving us waiting. Don't keep a hungry man waiting.
A. S.
The place that time forgot. I imagine it was amazing once. But now it's in need of a lick of paint and some love. The food was tasty but not substantial enough for the price tag. There was obnoxiously loud Spanish music and, aside from the celebrity pictures on the wall, no Tinseltown theme. A generous 3 stars.
T. B.
The prices are cheap here and they are open for long hours but the food is not all that in my opinion. Don't really like eating here but other people seem to love the food. The interior could also be improved with better lighting and a different colour scheme.
S.
When we entered it was very casual, got welcomed by the bar staff, straight away we got a table, we ordered milk shakes and nachos and platter to share, we wait quite a bit for the food but it was worth, milkshake finish in just a second! Overall good place do have casual dinner!
A. A.
It's a good place to get a late night food, good food, I would suggest you trying halumi cheese burger as it was one of my favourite, I normally avoid friday to Saturday as it's busy but that's just my preference as I try to avoid any busy and crowded places, the store is looking a little dated as it's been the way it is for decades. Overall it's got a good atmosphere, good food with friendly staff, although the staff keep changing frequently but not sure why, it would be nice to go and see the same faces sometimes. Drinks at this place should of been bottomless or a little cheaper in my opinion,
My usual time I go there is about 3-4 am.
If you haven't tried it I think you should,
Chow...😎
P.
Always nice food from here, ate in once and the rest of the time I've had takeaway. I'm usually put off by takeaway but it's not much different here. Milkshakes are lovely and the majority of the staff are pleasant.
A. M.
It's great when its not heaving and you have to queue.
Right now its take away only which is ideal for a cheeky drive home.
F. H. S.
This is one of my favourite american restaurants in London. I love going back for burgers and milkshake. Love the Beef Inferno burger with Ferrero Rocher shake. YUM. There's loads of places to sit and the staff are incredibly friendly. 5 stars for customer service.
M. F.
Good foodand hood environment
C. W.
My favourite place for milk shakes and absolute favourite is the banana and peanut butter milk shake. Loads of other mixes but some just sound good by name and doesn't live up to expectations like the Eaton Mess Sundae which had hardly any strawberries.
L. S.
Food is always superb. It's always a massive me so go hungry! They're omg garlic mayo is the best sauce I've ever had. Everything o have ever ordered there as well as my friends has always been delicious
J. K.
Great Food, Amazing Customer Service and very good atmosphere. The manager was very nice and the staff looked very happy. Would recommend cheesy chips and bacon with the cheeseburger; absolutely spectacular! Kudos to Tinsletown, I'll soon be back!
J. S.
I love the food here, big portions and hot waffles any time of the day.
Coming for a late night drive into the city this is worth stopping off at.
Shame they got rid of the lamb chops there were my favourite.
But found a new favourite the all american Hot dog with the crispy onion rings and peri peri sauce.
A.
Amazing place! The service here is excellent. They are always cheerful and welcoming. Not only that, the food is here amazing, there is a wide variety of starters, burgers and milkshakes. I will come here again.
S. D. L.
The staff were REALLY helpful and pleasant. It's a bit basic looking from what I remember but the food is tasty and affordable. It's child friendly which was we needed. Would definitely go again.
W. A.
Went for the usual run of the mill single burger with gherkins. With Sweet Chilli sauce & the fries of course. Left the best to last, the milkshakes!!!! Little disappointed they ran out of Bounty, how could they??? But had to go for my other fave which is Daim. For me, a shake to die for. With the top notch burger so full of flavour & the shake. Am I in heaven or what. All halal friendly, so much variety & so much to try. Just a shame I have a little tummy. Go on give it a try, you'll luv it.
S. H.
My cousins and I come here all the time for an American diner style meal. The food is pricey but very filling.
Alhamdulillah, it's also halal so no need to worry about what meat to order on the menu. Quite a variety of chicken, beef and lamb. They got fries, burgers, wings, lamb chops, all kinds of sizes and flavours of milk shakes, smoothies and soft drinks. I'm not really about salads. They also got different flavours of dips.
Meat can some with a meal or on its own.
If you come here late, you might have to wait in the queue outside until they have a table but the whole party must be there. If you want to sit on busy nights, you have to order food. You can always takeaway food or desserts but you have to physically go there to order and pay first. Opening hours are great, usually until 4am or 5am.
It gets quite packed after Taraweeh during Ramadan.
Unfortunately, there's no parking so you have to be dropped off or park a street or two away then walk the rest of the way.
There's no all-you-can-eat options but water is free and refillable in jugs or glasses.
Groups can pay separately with either cash or card. Each dining customer gets a free lollipop at the end.
For birthdays, they play that famous 50 cent song when they're bringing over the cake. There's no live music but music videos constantly playing on the various screens dotted around the place.
J. E.
It's a little bit hard to spot unless you know where it is, it's an underground venue. The milkshakes are all you should go here for. They're good, if a tiny bit on the pricey side. The food is terrible though, really greasy and bland American slop that is definitely way too expensive for what it is. There's also no phone signal down there whatsoever.
K. S.
Strange location ticked away but lots of seating. Great service and food.
3. K.
Ohhhhhh how I miss going to tinseltown back in the days! COVID-19 got me reminiscing!!
Always consistent with the food my fav dish has always been the chicken zilla with cheesy fries. Would highly recommend going here and shout out to the friendly security who are always there!
C. B.
A bit flat these days and seems to have lost some of its charm. Still got the burly security outside making you feel you're going into a dodgy nightclub in the East End. However, food is great if you like that kind of stuff. Giving this 4 stars cause it's a nice place to relax and chat, and it's open till 4:30AM!!
L.
My first time here and I loved it! The food we had were amazing, especially the mixed wings platter and the arizona hot dog, and the service was great even though there's no service charge included in the bill.
S. C.
The food was ok but the milkshakes were fantastic! It's a bit hard to find this place and you wouldn't know about it unless you were looking for it but the shakes really are the best I've had this side of the Atlantic.
I'd suggest avoiding the beef-bacon unless dietary requirements prevent you from eating the real stuff.
T.
This place never lets down. Food is good and service is quick.
A tip for late night munchers...you will be met with a queue in the weekend as it gets really busy.
Theyre burgers r good and u get good value for your money too. Left feeling satisfied!
R. B.
There are so many American-style restaurants in London, but this place is definitely one of the most visited. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. Their milkshakes are out of this world. Just go and try them.
A. M.
Staff was nice place overall was OK
I ordered the grilled chicken burger which was very dry had to put in extra ketchup to push it down..
Desert was good and quite decent serving !
Not highly recommended but you can try just like another resturant...but from what i think the price they charge for burger is not worth the quality or burger!!
Y. H.
Not bad for a late munch! Wish the milkshake prices were cheaper

Firstly the security here are AWFUL. Absolutely terrible.
For starters the first time I came here at around midnight they made me wait in the cold for 5-10 minutes saying there wasn't space. Then when I get in I see that there's only 2 or 3 other tables with people sitting (I.e. The whole place was empty).
On my third attendance they were quite rude and not understanding at all and they really do start off your experience on a bad note.
However the service INSIDE the restaurant is generally okay..if you're sitting in atleast.
For takeaways, the fact that they have only one till and that they can get quite busy at night meant that at one point there were seven groups of customers in the queue for this one till and it can be a wait of half an hour just to get your order in.
The food itself is a hit or a miss - I personally prefer the golders green tinsel town which is much more consistent with its quality of food. This includes mains and desserts.
A. K.
The staff are very hit and miss and so is the food. Unfortunately it has gone down in quality over the years. Even the decor needs updating. Best to come here for the desserts especially the milkshakes. Otherwise everything else is average food.
K. M.
Great desserts and always good service, will be back soon!
S. R.
Love their burgers and steaks. A pity they have closed down a few shop, hence we had to visit the one in London, and hope they can open again in Watford after the town centre had a massive face-lift.
S. F.
On the plus side the menu is massive, prices are on the cheap side and got the widest range of shakes i've seen in London.
However the restaurant looks like its stuck in the wrong era, its in a basement and has an almost 90s nightclub feel to it as you walk into it, in bad need of a total makeover if its going to survive in an area full of great places to eat, and unfortunately the food quality isnt good enough to make up for the decor.
If its going to last another few years, it needs a shake up (milkshake pun unintentional!)
A. R.
Decent food for a decent price. Always parking outside working hours, would recommend.
P. F.
Enjoyed it there. Nice wings, nice BBQ sauce and nice milkshake. order and pay at the till, no issues. Would go again.
k. h.
Great american diner look however the seating area is not good if its only two of you
the food is okay but the best thing are their desserts and milkshakes.
The service is very fast I like the decor of hollywood stars pictures around the restaurant with a man (i think is the owner) is edited in every photo.
K. O.
Really friendly staff! Food was great!
S. U.
Happily will go here everytime to eat, the strips are just satisfying to eat along with all the other side dishes. The menu has a great selection which is why I have visited this place multiple times. It's happy food
B. M.
The chicken wings are delicious. Also the hot chicken wraps.
I like the food in Tinseltown and I'll continue visiting the place almost every two weeks.
I don't like the green sofas, the leather material doesn't create cosy atmosphere.
A.
We went at a time when it wasn't super busy, and I'd have to agree with some of the other remarks. The food is definitely overpriced for what it is. I only had a salad, thinking it would be the healthiest option, but it was completely drenched in sauce and just inedible.
I've not tried the milkshakes, so I can't comment on that, but it's not a place I can see myself going back to.
S. S.
The decor here is appalling and not at all appealing how the food is lovely.
K. T.
i am giving the restaurant 3.5 stars, as a long time customer (every friday) at farrgingdon branch. I was disappointed to the service I received today, as the milkshakes was not thick and when I enquired about it then the lady was rude and stated that the machine was broken and it would be the same if they have to do it again. I had no problem with the machine being broken as it happens with machine, I don't like they don't warn the customer they will not be getting a thick shake that they paid for. Additionally, they don't offer the customers refunds when the restaurants is the wrong, this is the second time, this has happened
I will continue to get my milkshakes from a different branch closer to my area, as the manager and staff are lovely people. But I will not go back to Farringdon, unless they offer me a refund for this milk and cookie they called a milkshake
S. B.
I come to this place regularly as I work close by. Staff are always great. Food is decent quality and it's open till 4 am.
It does look a little run down though
D. H.
Hello all
I have to share this as I just feel personally that this place is just (FANTASTIC) I have taken my 2 young children here who are 4 & 6 !! We have visited on a few acasions and the staff have been just superb........the manger has always greeted me and and my family with a great smile ear to ear and his presents is most welcoming.
The staff pay attention to the children and it helps us as a mum and dad to be able to relax a little bit more.
I would recommend Tinseltown to every one married engaged single old young if your looking for a place to chill and get away from it all this is the place to be. Oh and the milk shake (OREOS GO NUTS) is the one to pick I love it.
So to sum up if you ain't been there then you must go don't even think about it just go be part of the experience for your self.
5 🌟 ain't enough should be like 50 🌟

Amazing Amazing Amazing we tried chiken grill burger and beef cheese burger with chiken wings and strips everything was soo perfect and specially their biscoff shake is mind blowing
H. B.
I really enjoy the service and food I receive from this branch of tinseltown.
Excellent food and kind staff. The only con is that at times it gets quite busy so it can sometime take a while to get the staff's attention. Furthermore, sometimes I feel the place is understaffed but the staff that are there do an impeccable job.
M. B.
Great food friendly service recommended for diner food
N. S.
It started at the front door when we were asked to wait outside for 10 minutes in the cold for a table. Before we were let in only 2 people had left. When we got downstairs to the restaurant there were many empty tables available, so why we …
I. M.
Staff always look stressed but the food is spot on.
Amazing milkshakes, my favourite is Mango!
D. J.
I love the food here. It's a nice quiet place to eat. Kids food is good too. Amazing milkshakes
A. K.
Late night meal pretty basic. Plac needs a revamp seen it the same for the last 10 years or more
T.
This place never lets down. Food is good and service is quick.
A tip for late night munchers...you will be met with a queue in the weekend as …
G. K.
I get a warm fuzzy feeling every time I come here. Spectacular milkshakes that we sipped after many an epic night out. Really friendly staff and a great vibe.
N. A.
Visited at 1:30 am, so was not packed but decently full. Upon entering the restaurant, given a small table to sit whilst they had 3 booths free. The rest of the booths were filled with couples also but the waiter told us we couldn’t sit in …
C. B.
A bit flat these days and seems to have lost some of its charm. Still got the burly security outside making you feel you're going into a dodgy nightclub in the East End. However, food is great if you like that kind of stuff. Giving this 4 stars cause it's a nice place to relax and chat, and it's open till 4:30AM!!
w. k.
Great environment for any occasion! Great selection on food and desserts. Prices are decent and staff are welcoming.
a. M.
Food is always great , but a shame we wouldn't sit in , can't wait form restaurants to open again. 😀
F. K.
They do an amazing Nutella milkshake. Food and desserts are lovely
m. a.
A bit over priced and they got my order wrong but corrected it and I got to keep the wrong food so can't complain.
Staff were really nice it's a but of a hidden gem. It's halal too.
Only issue is the stairs not so good for a buggy.
C. P.
Staff very friendly and helpful, the food is nice, but the selection seems to be a lot smaller since the last time I visited, don't know if they've changed owners, but menu is now halal which suits my wife as she won't eat at a establishment if there is a chance her food is prepared with same utensils as used on pork dishes, personally I miss the old menu, still a very nice friendly place.
S.
Nice to go back again usually go to the one near Oxford Street but that one is permanently closed. But the service was perfect as always.
B. B.
I really love their burgers, there is no comparison with any others. The desserts are amazing too.
j. m.
Always loved Tinseltown but since trying their wings I haven't been back. It put me off. Burgers and hotdogs are great though and the the place to go if you want a milkshake.
ت. ا.
Nice and convenient with late opening times and decent food.
U. 7.
Great children's menus and awesome deserts. Star off because the veggie burgers suck - mashed up pea and carrot burgers don't cut it, Haloumi / mushrooms would work better
D. A.
A tasty American style diner that does a very well priced lunch menu. The burgers are of good enough quality and they fill the hole, Situated in a basement the decor is a bit shabby and outdated but for the price it's fine, The milkshakes are the best bit about Tinseltown, ferrero Roche or the Reeces Penut Butter Cup milshakes are crazy good. I would probably find this place a bit pricey for the quality in the evening but definitely worth going there for a lunch
M. B. (.
Great shakes, awful burgers.
very disappointed by the low cost low quality ingredients in the burgers. What i expected was a fresh tasty patty, but instead the burgers were lukewarm and tasted as if they had been cooked from frozen.
M. B.
Fast service and a great host
E. R. M.
The only thing going for Tinsel Town is that it is open until 4am. The food is all frozen, deep fried, bland choices. It's in the basement. Staff are friendly. Would only go here if everything else is closed.
I. S.
This is a go to for late night shakes in London. It might not be the sleekest diner in London, but post midnight it’s one of the best options out there.
T. H.
I loved everything about this place. It's just the perfect place to have a casual night out with friends and family and the food was simply amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves eating out and have fun! So lively!
Z. D. J.
The food was fab, although the service wasn't the best. Also going in the first point of contact is their bouncers and they are not the friendliest. Other than that the food is great!!! And great price's.
T. G.
Tinseltown is central and open really late, which are its main attractive features. A great place to go for an indoor, sit-down meal or snack if you've been out on the town, but nothing particularly special on the food or atmosphere front.
C.
The service was great as well as the food. This place makes you want to leave tips. They even give out lollipops afterwards. I recommend this place!!!
S. A.
If you are into milkshakes and burgers (like Sam Carter in Stargate), Tinseltown is a place to visit. They serve the best milkshakes, and the food is fantastic esp. because the servings are sized a l'americaine. The staff are very friendly too. The place is clean. Tinseltown (Portland St) is conviently located too. If you want tasty food and an American diner experience, Tinseltown is the place to go.
D. D.
Open all night - draws a strange crowd out for milkshakes and halal burgers with "beef bacon". Bit expensive, but you won't find a similar experience at 2 in the morning in this part of town.
S. U.
Very consistently good. Great service and food. Decor could do with a slight upgrade however
I. K.
Wish the milkshake was still 4.50, now it's £5 for Kinder Bueno, Ferrero Rocher. Oreo is £4.75 tho. Best milkshakes around
J. P.
Perfect.
Don burger and BBQ burger were juicy and tasted amazing, chips were great too.
Quick preparation, and amazing customer service.
G. U.
I've been to all of the London Tinseltowns and this one is by far the best one. Usually not packed with people, service is ok and food/milkshakes are awesome.
M.
-Interior felt kinda old fashioned
- Food was kinda good
-Desert options great but when me and my mates recieved the ice cream, on top was warm
-Decent pricing but overpriced drinks (so got tap water
- Staff and services were below average
In conclusion I would go back only for the deserts
g.
Huge burger with fries, then a delicious cheesecake. What's this? (no, not instant diabetes, although on second thought it might be it) Tinseltown! And köszönöm szépen to the nicest Hungarian waitress ever.
S. A.
Brilliant! Burger was on point
A. B.
24 hour restaurant that serves American style food and great milkshakes. You cannot park nearby without a resident permit though and you will get a parking ticket if you do.
I. M.
Staff always look stressed but the food is spot on.
Amazing milkshakes, my favourite is Mango!
G. K.
I get a warm fuzzy feeling every time I come here. Spectacular milkshakes that we sipped after many an epic night out. Really friendly staff and a great vibe.
D. S.
Great place to get food after hours because everything else is closed but I got a double cheeseburger and I couldn't finish because it didn't taste or look like beef
C.
Very strange place upon entering, but once you're there the workers are so relaxed and cheerful. The whole setting is very relaxing!
The food is a little pricey but it is an experience!
R. U.
The best milkshakes around - haven't been to another place that could match their standards. With regard to the food, reasonably priced and good.
J. M.
Great when you’re craving dirty burger, fries and a milkshake at 3am after a night out. Not the best restaurant in the world, but it serves its purpose well.
E. O.
Great food and decent vibes
A. U.
This is the best place ever. the food here is sooo goood and such good value for money. its open till 4am for some late night munchies and the staff are always helpful and the manager tony is so nice
L. R.
I ate here last week and it's a very nice and comfortable place to eat early or very late the staff are fab and friendly very attentive. There shakes are to Die for and halloumi fries.
D. Z.
Great place with brilliant food but place is getting tired looking, needs some updating/renewing.
B. A.
Overall very nice decor and food quality. The chips that came with burger meal was quite small however this place is all about the burgers and they were great
s.
Incredible milkshakes- good luck deciding on your order! Worth the queue (that is almost always present). The food however is nothing too great.
A. F.
Tinseltown is one of my favourite dessert places in London! If I've ever had a meal in Tinseltown the food has always been yummy and been "american sized". The best bit however are the choices of desserts from the ice creams to the milkshakes. It's hard to pick as you are spoilt by the variety! The first time I went was for my birthday and my cousins got me my very own tinseltown trophey and special birthday message played in the resturant so it is the perfect place to cut a cake!
J. G.
The Milkshakes are pretty amazing but I don't think the food is anything to shout about. It's nice but doesn't scream "take me back".
R. A.
Sub standard food. Burger prices are over inflated considering their not even gourmet burgers. Offer for lunch isn't bad. But in terms of taste it isn't the greatest
U. B.
Me and my boyfriend enjoyed the food very much. Quality burgers! The manager was very sweet!
D. A.
Even though it was really late in the evening, staff were extremely friendly and prompt.
EDIT: Apologies i didn't mean to say that the food was really late in my first edit... i meant it was quite late in the evening :). FOOD WAS PROMPT!!
E. A.
Do you love sweets? Come here
A. A.
Nice place recommend the other branches more though.
D. J.
I love the food here. It's a nice quiet place to eat. Kids food is good too. Amazing milkshakes
H. D.
American food in london, what a great idea. A friend of mine had a birthday party here and i must say i was pleasently surpised, with the quality of the food and the service. i highly recomend this to anyone who feels like a change in scenery
A. S.
Perfect casual date location, the burgers and fries are on the lighter side of London's burger joints. The milkshakes though, are amazing and thoroughly filling.
N.
Not the best burgers - they tend to be a bit flat, but if you're in the area for lunch between Mon-Thu, grab their lunchtime offer which includes a main and side. Comes to £6-7.
A. N.
It's open late, so that's good. The food isn't up to much and the service is hit and miss (terrible first time I went, not bad yesterday) but it is open late. So. That's good.
s. r.
Their food is so yummy
R. K.
The place was empty due to Covid 19. Food was ok, menu was a bit light with limited options.
Z. M.
Great customer service from anouar 👍🏼
R.
It took a little while to get served food was good milkshakes were quite big so I'm happy the meat in my burger was well done
S. B.
Food is poor standard thankfully the milkshakes are delightful. Overpriced for the quality. Will not be eating here again. And the under ground location is just poor.
F. S.
Good Halal food. Amazing milkshakes. And has vegi options too. About a 5 mins walk to City university of London.
S. R.
Good food. Great service. Burgers are just yum. Amazing shakes especially the strawberry.
H. J.
It was a nice environment, polite staff, right price and good service. Food was also good.. however the plate was stinking.. wasn't washed properly. Otherwise 5*
L. R.
Love love love Tinsel town there food is always perfect an the staff brilliant no matter what time of night it is they are on the ball it's 1 of my fav places to eat esp as it's Halal
M. M.
Nothing special, no parking available in the area it gas become pay and display at any time, milkshakes are good food is rubbish and tasteless would rather go dixy or pfc
D. S.
An okay place, with nice burgers. Deserts also look pretty decent, but the interior could use some refreshing.
H. A.
This place is great because their dessert is very nice and also they close very late.
The shop itself has a very good vibe inside
D. G. d. M.
It's good for what it is. No pretensions, just a classic American Diner atmosphere.
"Family friendly", with no alcohol on the menu.
D. M.
Great place, super sweet
m. V.
Liked the food, staff was nice and helpful. Only minus would be that after all the hard eating you can't ask for a beer :).
M. P.
Decent food at a very fair price!
Thought it was going to be an outdated, run down place, but was veryvhappy to be wrong.
Good value for money.
M. A.
Brilliant customer service. Absolutely amazing atmosphere and the food is always good but a bit on the pricey side but its well worth it. Halal foods is another plus.
T.
Attentive customer service, I had an issue with my order but they were quick to rectify it. Food is also halal which is also great.
R. N.
Definitely my favourite American diner in London very close to my workplace. Very good food and value for money.
S. R.
Amazing food & Service, definitely recommend the Burgers and VIP shakes... Absolutely the best in town!!
M. V.
food prepared fast and presented well, maybe a bit overpriced
w. k.
Great environment for any occasion! Great selection on food and desserts. Prices are decent and staff are welcoming.
L. W.
Great burgers and shakes open until 3AM in a 50ies decor.
C.
Burger meat quality like a wetherspoons so I was expecting something better for this place. Good desserts and shakes.
F. V.
The bomb dig-ah-dee! This where me and my husband always come to eat after a long night. I have never taste such a delicious butger!
D. R.
All American diner! Excellent milkshakes. Not suitable if you’re watching the calories
D. W.
Good place to visit if in the city and need somewhere to eat late at night. The quality of the food and building isn't what it once was hence the 3 stars.
S. M.
Staff are nice but this tinsletown is downstairs in a basement, it's dark and you get almost no phone reception so waiting for 10-15mins for a burger is a boring activity!
P.
Food was nice just the waitress forgot to process my order but eventually i ate and was happy
w. w.
Its a nice place polite staff and prices are reasonable. Also food is good not great but good for the price you pay
A. K.
Late night meal pretty basic. Plac needs a revamp seen it the same for the last 10 years or more
M. D.
Bit expensive. Milkshakes are good. ZERO parking at any time unless you’re a resident
D. P.
Good place to eat late into the night but they've took steak off the menu
s. s.
Food was good, from order to receiving food is good. The staff attentiveness could be a bit more as getting to the stage of ordering food took some time
T.
Try the nachos and milkshakes they are the best in town. Don't buy anything else unfortunately, not had good time with burgers unfortunately.
T. A.
Amazing burgers and wings!
O. F. S.
American restaurant offers halal food. Good discounts within week. Delicious and good people.
J. S.
The bbq wings are so nice and the skittle milkshake is mind blowing.
T. T. M.
The desserts were limited and the prices are ridiculous for what's being served. The staff are pleasant.
K. M.
Lovely place with lovely food. Great choice of selection. Only issue, it's in basement and therefore no phone reception.
O. A.
Milkshakes to die for. Perfect Peri wings, killer burgers and some serious onion rings. Highly recommended
A. A.
Nice atmosphere. Foods good.
They have the Tuesday special offer on again
N. A.
A great place to go to and enjoy burgers and shakes. Always buzzing at the weekend. Watch out for parking restrictions.
J. H.
Nice food but the prices seem to be going up every year while the portions get smaller 🤦🏼♂️
T. L.
The food was ok very short staffed I do prefer the tinsel town in St. John street it is the best out of the 3 in London
M. S.
Milkshakes are pricey and size is relatively small. That having been said, milkshake tasted good
A. S.
Tasty food. Nice selection of desserts. The waffles are quite big. better for sharing.
j. s.
Amazing food and staff. Very friendly place and lots of pictures to look at.
J. A. L.
A good place to get food out of hours, parking is ace during off peak and it's off the busy roads
G. S. M.
Great place for aa. Burger Wing's and milkshakes
N. D.
I like Tinsel, good shakes and burgers. Semi lively atmosphere, staff are helpful but sometimes a little slow.
S. K.
The food has much improved in the last couple of years. Burger quality is much better now!
M. K.
Lovely late night snack. Milkshake for take away no queue.
T. B. 2.
Food changed my life but the music was dead.Do they have accommodation as I want to move in? Definitely recommend the chicken burger🤙🏻
K. S.
Perhaps one of the best shakes in the city. Beware of the burger portions though, they are big big but tasty
S. A.
Food was amazing.
C.
Milk shakes are amazing here, the food is OK. Decent place to go with friends or on a casual date.
E. F.
Nice food, venue had better ambience when I went regularly in late 90s and noughties. Worth a visit.
D.
Hmmmm it was a weird experience. Felt like it was in the basement of a night club... could do with a decorator cos the insides were falling apart...food was alright
B. O.
Food is amazing, just wish prices were a little lower, but thats to be expected in central london
K. S.
Visited here a few times and have recieved good service, the wait is not too long and their milkshakes are delicious, but a bit pricey for the size.
B. S.
Lovely milkshakes and nice food great atmosphere too, staff were professional
S. Z.
Great food a quick bite. Burgers were fine. Great milkshakes!
S. S.
One of the few halal joints in central, the american theme and decor is welcomed.
H. V.
The deserts are what makes this place so good. They are delicious. Service is a bit slow though
A. O.
Has been the spot since 2003!! Milkshakes are dope, food is tasty and vibes are great
H. L.
Cheap food for Central London but the service could be a little better considering they are close to Farringdon and the level of service has to be superior, in my opinion
D. A.
Love the food in here, but service is super slow but they’re still some good staff in here
J. S.
Nice staff, nice-ish food, good ferrero richer milkshake, service is good. Just a bit greasy
s. r.
Nice food, reasonable prices and good customer service
f. a.
Wow I used to love their food but not anymore. Maybe just stick to their milk shakes.
G. R.
Like all other places there only doing click and collect at the moment
A. B.
Good burgers, the place isnt my vibe so 4 stars
J. X.
Milkshake was great and worth the trip. Burger and wings were not, little portions and little quality for the price
D. W.
Best milkshakes ever. Nice service great decor and good ambience.
J. M.
Everything very average. Nice enough staff, tasty enough food, nothing too expensive, a bit dingy on the inside.
B. M.
Milk shakes are always on point!! Can't fault them. Food is decent.
B. P.
Food okay nothing special. Milkshakes are great though. Service soso
H. R.
Food is OK, nothing to shout about. A little bit on the pricey side for what your paying for.
J.
Great shakes and deserts , microwaved food avoid. Service isnt the best.
m. h.
great food .great customer service .The burgers are yummy and affordable and they give a great portion
J.
Good food. Had a major issue getting them to accept an American bank card even though they're an American restaurant.
N. C.
No other place does milkshakes the way Tinseltown do it. Best place to get your milkshakes
F. M.
Double Don beef burger is the best. Oreo shake is good too.
D. B.
The place to go for decent shakes and takeaway service. Otherwise typical garish american diner style.
J. F.
Top burger joint, with a great cheap lunch menu. The milkshakes are awesome
S. D.
Decent food for a decent price but the milkshakes are fantastic!
u. k.
One of my favourite place for quick bite in Farringdon.
A. J.
Food variety is good, took a while to come but tasted good
A. A.
Still great customer service but quality of food has gone down a fair bit
D. R.
Amazing food and staff were helpful and friendly
D. P.
Food & customer service was AMAZING. Me & my friend were definitely treated nicely
A. H.
Good cheap food in the heart of London. Service can be a little slow if busy though
C. &. D.
Great food, always great to grad a meal after a night out.
g. w. w.
Small restaurant but very popular late at night. Food that fills you up especially milkshakes
A. A.

M. A.
Good food and great staff.
J. T. H. 8.
Best shake in town no shop is beating a Oreo milkshake like this! Amazing
L. R.
Good value for money for a quick meal with friends but decor was outdated.
F.
My only question is, y aint u been here yet? This place is the lick. Them milkshakes is crack. N its halal too.
A. M.
It's a classic American diner, nice range of milkshakes, but the menu is fairly expensive for a diner.
N. P.
Decent tasting milkshakes but should add custom shakes and better food
A. A.
My favorite restaurant. I will go there forever. #inlove
M. P.
Not a five star place, but the food was good ( buffalo wings and burgers) and the service is fast.
A. R.
Decent for a 3am meal decent burgers for those munchies
R. M.

O. M.
Food was tasty, the places needs a touch of modernisation
S. M.
Burgers are still good... But the decor needs a refresh
e.
Staff Are nice but aren't strict on load obnoxious party's of people in the vuilding
S. R. T. C.
Haven't got any vegan options, as the rest of the family and friends were Halal meet eater's.
R. P.
Lovely food and friendly staff place looks clean.
T. S.
Much thinking must be applied when choosing from a delicious range of burgers and deserts. Be prepared to be challenged and amazed by this place.
y. y.
It's a great place to have desserts plus they close at 4am
