Visited here the other night with a large group. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and managed to get all our orders correct. The food was mediocre just your standard Turkish. There was one guy who was very rude though. We asked for a takeaway container and he was just giving attitude for no reason and made a comment under his breath. Other than that was an okay meal.

Came here as a group of 5. We was invited in with very friendly staff from the beginning right up till the end of our meal. We felt comfortable throughout our time eating our meal and the staff always catered to our needs whenever required. Always helpful and available so a big plus to the customer service. Aesthetically the environment was nice and relaxing to be in and the seating arrangement allowed us all to sit comfortably. We was given a lovely salad with bread to open our appetites and it was very well made. We accompanied with a mixed starter which worked perfectly amongst our group. We all ordered a variety of mains but I went with the rib eye steak. The menu allows for a choice between rice or chips so I went with chips and was happy with the choice. The steak was cooked very well according to the requirements I provided and the side of chips and mushrooms complimented the steak very well. We ended finally with some baklava and Turkish to end off a perfect meal. The price to quality/food ratio was extremely good. Was pleasantly surprised with the final bill in comparison to the quality of food that was provided. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a nice meal with excellent staff service.

We came here on christmas day ‘21 and found the food very tasty and the service excellent. The warm ambience of the restaurant contrast the cold weather outside which was absolutely lovely! The price was very reasonable too. It was our first time trying out the Turkish dessert, Kamalpasa, and we love it! Will definitely come again soon! This was absolutely fantastic! Me and my husband have found our favourite Turkish restaurant in London. Every single dish was spot on. We've had many sarma baity's but Mangal has the best one so far. We also tried something called Ali Nazic which was Adana kebab on a bed of aubergine yogurt, super tasty! Thank you to the two waiters that hosted us. Excellent service and food. We are definitely coming back.

In a bougie bermondsey this is one place that still maintains it's character, it's affordable price and offers top class service. All the staff here (especially Zerthun) are super friendly, entertaining, diligent and hard working. They go the extra mile to offer tea and bread on the house, and the taste of their food is absolutely impeccable. This is one restaurant you'll think about long after you even leave London. I'm definitely going to be a regular. 5 stars and great job, Tower mangal!!

We’ve come here originally when it first opened and then always have takeaway and decided to pop in this evening. The food is absolutely fantastic and this is by far the best Turkish restaurant in the area. They are generous with salad and bread for the table when you first arrive and always give you a little desert when you finish. We had the Sarma lamb beyti it’s awesome service was amazing. Staff were very welcoming. One member even greeted me and shook my hand which was something different and unusual. Service and timing of the food came fast! From the moment that we walked through the door, Erdi and his wonderful staff made us feel like we were a part of their family. We sat down to a generous platter of salad and bread with delicious spreads, and ordered the Tower Special Two. This amazing variety platter fed our family of five and we still had leftovers. The taste of each succulent meat was juicy, flavorful, and well seasoned; it was difficult to decide which part of the meal was the best! Dessert was delicious, and the tea a perfect compliment to our experience. Do yourself a favor, eat the best meal in London while making friends with the nicest Turkish family around.

My first and probably only review. I have never walked into a place that treats you so well. The food portion is enough for 2 meals and the quality is just perfect. The chilli sauce is so well balanced i want to buy some to take home with me!

The service was absolutely top, couldn't fault it. As soon as we sat down, we had a HUGE complimentary salad, dips and bread. Then ordered a starter of feta in filo pastry, mixed shish kebab main and chicken kilander. All came very quickly and was delicious. The feta in filo came with loads if hummus and was the best thing I tasted of everything ordered. I had it in Athens recently and was just as good! The mixed shish came with loads of rice and buckwheat. The chicken kilander is awesome but so weird. It has a very rich tomato sauce, loads of chicken but also croutons that have basically been soaked in the sauce so make a weird (in a good way) creamy texture. All of it absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish it all so got it to take away, while we waited, we were also given complimentary tea and pudding.

Staff are so friendly and the place is so clean. I bought the platter £32 platter and asked the staff if it was enough for me and my two young boys and believe me this platter is enough for a family of 4. The portions were big and their desserts were lovely. Very spacious and plenty of seating. Will definitely come here again with the extended family.

Could never ever think such a classy Turkish restaurant existed in my neighborhood! Food is soooo authenticly delicious, we ordered mix kebabs and mix shish and woooow it tasted even better than the food I tasted in Istanbul. The staff were so welcoming and friendly they even provided a free mezze appetizer as soon as we sat in. The atmosphere was very inviting with Turkish music in the background! 100% recommended and sincere thanks to the staff and the owner who happened to be there and who hosted us himself with TLC!

Most friendly staff I have had serve me. They greet me at the door with a smile and make my son feel very welcome with a lolly. One time when I was waiting they even gave me a Turkish sweet. The food for the price is best, even my miss loves it and she very picky. I have had the tower special one which is meant for two people but I think it could feed 4 people and for a takeaway price of £23.95 that is great value for money as it tastes great as I food more expensive place it was not as good.

I just love it! The staff is extremely attentive, always with a smile on the face. When you sit down they bring you a huge salad platter, so tasty that you can't stop eating. The pitta bread is always warm and accompanied by 2 sauces. Take care, the red one is hot. As for the main food, it's always amazingly tasty, cooked on charcoal grill and they have lots of vegan options too.

I've been here a few times since it's opened up, the customer service has always been really good and friendly, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Which speaks volumes, usually after a while standard's drop, but not here. The food is really nice here, its very flavourful and the portion sizes are good. I am really glad that Tower Mangal is in our neck of the woods. No more trips to North London or East London for good Turkish food, it also helps that Towe Mangal is a much better option all round.

Newly opened family restaurant in the area. We loved everything about this place. I've been here 3 times, once to eat in and twice for takeaway. The food is nice here, but compared to other Turkish restaurants the portion sizes are really tiny. Never in my life have I eaten at a restaurant and left hungry. I would recommend to eat here if you're posh or want to show off or something. In response to the owner: That is not true because I went there for the first time to eat in for the lunch time offer you asked if I wanted to eat in or takeaway and the same twice after when I came to order takeaway, nor did I ever mention my love of aubergines to you. Nevertheless you still haven't explained why your portion sizes are so small. Even in the pictures that other customers have provided the portions are very tiny. I ate in before and the amount of rice you get served on a plate is minuscule, and is not filling at all. You only provide a generous helping of salad when eating in which has hardly any calories and will not fill you up at all.

Poor coronavirus protection measures, NO social distancing, packed restaurant! Come on guys, you have a good business, I've eaten there loads of times, I couldn't come in this time (Mon 24 Aug) as it all looked way too crowded and unsafe! Whilst I completely understand the difficulties all customer-facing businesses have suffered recently, and are coping with right now, you have a responsibility to protect your staff and customers from the virus too! As a regular customer I'm very disappointed that you are putting profits before customer welfare and safety! You need to stick to the rules for your own safety and for your customers safety too. Limit the numbers, distance the tables, protect your customers and staff! Coronavirus is on the increase in London again, and particularly in Southwark, don’t be the one's to fuel the fire with poor covid-safe standards, do your bit to protect your customers, your staff, and ultimately the wider community! You have a moral and legal duty-of-care to your customers and staff that you are not taking seriously enough. Regrettable I will not be coming back to eat at your restaurant until you put some proper and safe health & safety measures in to place.

Went this evening for a mixed doner which comes with a choice of bulgur or rice. I opted for bulgur. The meat tasted fresh and well seasoned. Complimentary salad and bread was a nice touch. The waiting staff were warm, friendly and very attentive, coming to check at intervals and asking if I wanted more bread or to check everything was OK. This was my first day in London. Long transfer from Russia to New York. By the end of the day I was hungry. In view of the ruble exchange rate, it is rather difficult to find for yourself something suitable in such an expensive city. I also needed wi fi to call my wife. Just as I walked past this restaurant, I found wi fi. January. I stand in the rain near this restaurant, talking with my wife in wats up. Already all wet. The manager of the restaurant comes out and invites you to stop by. Despite the prices, which are very low for London, but very high for Russia, I stopped by. The administrator (man) sat me down at the table. When the waiter came up, I chose the cheapest soup and salad. Immediately went to the toilet. As I returned - the salad is already on the table. the waiter comes up and asks: is it necessary to take out the ordered salad, since this one is at the expense of the establishment? I couldn’t understand anything for a long time, because I don’t understand English very well. They convinced me that it was free, I decided that I saved a lot. They brought out the soup. Ate. While talking with my wife via video, they brought me tea and sweets. I say that I did not order this. And they told me that this is also due to the institution. There was no limit to surprise! When the bill was made, only soup was required to be paid. I stopped the administrator, asked why such generosity. He said: no problem. Just unbelieveble. I was so moved, I can not describe. Thank you, Adminstrator! Thanks for the cool evening! I often remember you and tell everyone! I apologize for my English.

I popped in here thinking ill get a take away with a friend but we ended up eating in as we were welcomed with a smile by the lovely waiter. While sitting down deciding what we wanted to eat we were giving a plate of mixed salad and bread which were delightful. We then order our food we had the cheesless pizza with mince and it was delicious a slight kick but not to over powering. With our bread we were given a chilli sauce, this had my taste buds running the spicy kick and the delightful flavour complimented eachother so well and left your mouth with a nice slight tingle by far one of my faviroute chilli sauces

His recommendations within starters (including an amazing salad alongside a very tasty wafer thin pizza like dish), mains (mixed kebabs with rice accompanied by what looked like wheat cous cous), Turkish tea plus desserts was excellent too.
