A quiet, cozy cafe with reasonable prices. Different types of milk-based coffees and beers are available. Also you can order various pastries as well. The staff are welcoming and polite. It also has a good view to the street if you wanna enjoy the famous London atmosphere. Highly recommended.

On my recent visit to London and before catching my train home. I tried out the Worker's cafe. Once arriving you sit at a table to check out the menu and then a staff member takes your order . The menu is filled with a range of options some of this includes breakfast , Brunch , sandwiches , burgers , panini's , omelettes , salad and main meals and a range of hot and cold drinks including alcohol , but my visit was for breakfast. I had chosen my own breakfast and picked , Beans , fried egg , toast , sausages and bacon. To drink I had chosen a Smoothie called Tropical crush that consists of Passion fruit , papaya , mango and pineapple. The quality of the food and presentation was excellent. The waiting time was very short and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I really recommend to visit the Workers cafe as you will have a great experience.

Really good service! I ordered a latte and the avocado toast and it arrived quickly and was tasty. The outdoor seating is also great for people watching! Update: after coming here many more times, I can hands down recommend the chicken kebab as the tastiest dish on the menu!

Great spot that's kept itself relevant and reasonable as the area has changed. The food remains proper cafe style, but the portions are not overbearing and the prices are reasonable. The staff are all really friendly and hospitable, and know the locals/regulars and look out for them.

Amazing food and service. Lenka, the lovely waitress was super friendly and helped us with our orders, plus, she made an incredibly delicious oreo milkshake. They have a great selection of wraps and sandwiches plus if you haven't tried their Red Velvet Cake you are missing out! Pro Tip: The Snickers Cake is amazing. A must try for those with a sweet tooth! Yummy!

Went for a late breakfast on a busy Saturday afternoon and welcomed by friendly staff. The menu is very straight forward, serving many types of cooked breakfasts. I had the Classic which was delicious and came with a decent cup of coffee. Overall I thought the cafe had a nice atmosphere. Definitely going back for breakfast!

Good food. Always hot and quick. Does all your cafe basics. Staff are polite and prompt most of the time. Once you get to lunch time in the week the place is buzzing. Always busy. Prices aren't bad, not the cheapest but they do give generous portions I think. So you get your money's worth. Food is always good. A nice variety on their menu. Leaving off a star as sometimes they run out of some foods or now and again can be slow to serve. But I still recommend workers cafe.

Have worked around the corner from this place for over a year and only just discovered it about 2 weeks ago. Has become a firm favourite. Not had a single bad meal yet, all generously portioned at a very good price (even cheap for Islington). English breakfast is perfectly cooked, not overly greasy, great coffee too. Big plus for me is that drinks generally included in the set meals. Lovely quirky interior too. Kind of wish I hadn't found out about it as it's become a twice weekly "treat".

Decent Tuna Salad, tuna panini should be heated throughout so was a bit disappointed. Coffees were good and price was good for upper street coming at less than £13. Looks like they have updated the decor so its a bit more comfortable. Its probably not clear why this is called the workers cafe... suggest that the music is a bit out of place.. a bit more quiet music or no music would be better so people can chill out.

Their food is divine, you can tell all their food is fresh, the staff are friendly and welcoming and very eager to get your order. I would recommend the piggy panini! It's just lush and their cannolis........ oh my god! You will be addicted! My best friend says they serve the perfect Latte (I wouldn't know because I don't drink coffee) plenty to choose from.

I don't often find myself at that end of the high street these days, but am familiar with the Workers Cafe. It was always good for a caff brekkie, but Id not strayed further from the breakfast menu before. As it was almost lunchtime, I went for the chicken (shish) kebab with rice and salad and a proper stand-up cuppa Service was considerate, prompt and friendly - they are clearly upping their game and it was more like restaurant service than cafe - no complaints from me! The food was freshly cooked, the chicken tasty, tender and full of flavour. The rice was delicious! cooked the turkish way with butter. The salad of mixed leaves with some cucumber and tomato slices was fresh of good quality. I think I paid £6.95 for the lot, so good value for money too :-)

This is a good cafe on Upper Street, opposite Islington Town Hall. My salmon and scrambled egg on toast was very nice, and they do jasmine as well as plain and mint green teas. Used to be the Workers Cafe and has kept some of the old features. The decor is attractive with old local photos, a wall of colourful mirrors and pretty light shade arrangements.

Breakfast is the most important meal and they serve it all day. I just had pancakes with nuttela and banana at 7 p.m. They serve Japanese green tea instead of Chinese like most places do. As a bonus, you might see some celebs before their show in Islington Hall

Over the years I have used the cafe on many occasions seen changes in management and staff. 90% of time satisfied with food and service. Not a true 'workman's cafe' as its a bit posh compared to a proper 'gressy spoon'. But it's the food and service that counts not the name.
