Had a lovey meal at Taj Barming last night. Very impressed ! Great food and superb service - very clean with modern decor. about £90 inc tip and bottle of wine and 2 courses for 3 people - would highly recommend. We will definitely go back

Great Indian food, something I have known for a while with regular takeaways. However I was a little disappointed at the very poor selection of non alcoholic drinks, only coke. It's a personal thing, enjoying a good meal with a pleasant drink to accompany it, and drive home with a clear conscience.

Recently visited Taj Barming for celebrating family function. Food was awesome. However the attitude of people was not right. There was sense of uneasiness throughout our 1.5 hr dinner time in Taj Barming. After entering we wanted to settle for some time but the waiter was standing on our head to place the order. The moment we did our cake cutting again the person came and asked for order. The tone of language wasn’t good and it made us feel uncomfortable. And the music 😡😡😡 they were playing sad Gazals of Pankaj Udhas. I requested for change which he refused completely. For a happy moment who want to listen sad gazals. We asked to serve biryani later after finishing eating nan and gravy. We wanted to wat it hot. But again they refused to do the same. I needed salt and I called out in decent loud voice but the waiter again went ahead as if he didn’t heard. I had to go the reception to ask for salt. Overall it wasn’t a good experience. In front of us the management was paying good attention to local people. This made us feel even worse . With this kind of experience will never go again in person to dine in. The restaurant has amazing food but need to have some more hospitality to adapt to customer suggestions

We wanted some takeaways and phoned TajBarming. The service was excellent and we were able to collect the meal exactly when it was required. It's a long time since I have had such tasty Indian dishes - well presented and handed over by a very friendly "manager". Will definitely use this service again.

The poppadoms were very over done and the diet coke flat. The restaurant did replace and not charge, but the food was not as tasty as other similar restaurants and quite oily. The service was good and fairly quick. Probably wouldn't revisit.

So good to have an Indian restaurant back in Barming and the wait has been worth it. Kieron and his team provide superb customer service, food that melts in the mouth at price that is affordable. It will leave you booking your return visit as you’re paying the bill. My only recommendation for improvement is free ‘chocolate’ mints when they bring the bill out ;o)

Genuinely superb (Takeaway). Over the last couple of months, I have tried three Indian Takeaways (well, strictly speaking, two Indian and one Nepalese) and the Taj is WAY ahead of the other two. The service was great (whilst they do not appear to offer a delivery service the large bar area is a very pleasant place to wait) and my order was taken clearly and efficiently over the phone. However, it is the food that really made the difference. WOW, it really is brilliant. We ordered Chicken Shashlick and a Tandoori Mix, along with two sides of Sag Paneer and Mushrooms with coriander. The food was well spiced, flavoursome and extremely well cooked. A nice amount of charring on the tandoori chicken breast whilst the other elements of the mixed Tandoori all made their individual flavours known, successfully resisting the urge to taste “samey ” . The Sag Paneer was beautifully balanced with the spinach retaining its iron flavour and the slightly salty Paneer holding its own against the creamy and sweet sauce. Perfection. The mushroom dish appears to be a variation of a mushroom bhaji that I have had at other places but followed the trend of allowing the individual flavours to come through without the mushrooms ever feeling overwhelmed. The Chicken Shashlick came with big chunks of bell peppers (again nicely charred) and fresh tomato, all beautifully cooked and the chicken perfectly spiced. I will definitely be back and next time will take the 20min walk, to make sure I can fully appreciate the beautiful setting the the owner, Kiron, has created. It is a lovely, contemporary setting and I can’t wait to enjoy it properly. Brilliant.
