To start with. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. We were told from the beginning it will be a 30 minute wait for food. Which was expected because it’s a busy Sunday tea time. Food was delivered hot and extremely delicious. Wasn’t badgered constantly about how the food tasted unlike some restaurants - massive bonus to the hardworking staff members. Always a pleasure to come to this site.

Really nice little place , I had one of the platters was very nice massive portion size would easily feed two people . Was disappointed that the Sunday roast had ran out by 4 in the afternoon well most of the meats for it . Had a 50 minute wait for the food aswell , the staff seemed lovely but also very disinterested at the same time

Kids menu is great value, adults a bit pricier and not particularly overwhelming. Service was good and the bottomless sugar free drink option was a lovely addition. Lots of seating and car parking spaces. Would definitely go back with the kids but not without.

Didn't book ahead however not a problem service was good . Starter arrived in good time however there was no availability of alcohol free drinks except for the usual lagers. Had tap water which was delivered warm and no ice available. Ordered rib eye steak which I was eventually told was not available so caused a delay. The lamb chops substitute was luckily very good.

My husband had the mixed grill, I had a rump steak. Every part of the meal was delicious, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his, eating every last bit, I absolutely loved mine, I'm not a great fan of chips, but the ones here are gorgeous. We were slightly let down by the desserts, we had the ice cream sundaes, they weren't the greatest, expensive for what they were. The restaurant was clean and the staff were all very friendly and polite. I highly recommend a visit here.

It was OK I guess... We went for a chat and a lunch. Good was adequate but nothing special, service average, etc - a bit like a Weatherspoons but more expensive! I'll go again as its convenient for a quick bite but wouldn't bother if it was for anything halfway special. I recall this place being much better. Everything seems to have slipped...

I love this place, its so straight forward, comfortable and welcoming. My dad and I regularly visit when we've spent time across the road in the cemetery. There's loads of free parking, it doesn't matter if you're staying at the hotel or not and the food prices are as you'd expect. I would definitely recommend a visit, even if its just a little pit stop. It's only a breath away from the M60 anticlockwise.

Food was ok .... I ordered a chicken burger which was a bit dry and bland. The real downer was the fact that even though the first thing I checked when ordering was if the dessert which I wanted to try was available. I was told that it is but when I finished my main course I found out the dessert is not available as they were missing some ingredients 🥲 The lad who served me with an alternative was polite and apologetic.

Budget restuarant with a reasonable menu recently re opened. If busy expect to wait, had a friendly waitress who seemed to care and tried hard to serve you. Other staff including manager gossiping nearby about other staff did not make the evening enjoyable. Garlic prawn starter was excellent. Steak was cooked just right, but a bit chewy in mixed grill, presentation not the best. Small portion of chips. On second night of stay at hotel next door had Paprika chicken bit dry but tasted ok. Sundaes where OK too.

Stayed at Premier Inn next door in stormy weather so ate here both evening and breakfast. Couldn't fault my sirloin steak. Was busy but our waitress Jane worked very very quickly and efficiently. Only criticism is that the menu offers few healthy options unfortunately. Breakfast was really good with varied selection both hot and cold. No decaff coffee. If you are staying over, there is a meal deal of two course evening meal, drink and breakfast. This was advertised on the back of the breakfast menu!!! We missed out on that as only checked the dining menu. Could have saved just £20!!! Not pleased about that.

Good choice of cereals and fruit although they could do with a dairy free yogurt option. Really nice leisurely breakfast with my toddler. Lovely accommodating staff. We will return.

Visited again on 7th December Another good meal. Xmas and lots of email offers made it busy, so staff had difficulty keeping up. No house white, house red 11% not 13% stated on the menu, steak not quite as good as usual, however still very good value for money, especially taking their offers into account. Also visited for Sunday lunch, but there was no chicken (Brexit?). So we ordered the festive meal again instead. This time different starters - good - we both had steak and the meat quality was back to its normal high standard. The restaurant was not as busy and service was good. Suggested an adults only section as noisy infants disrupted our meal. We have another booking for 30th December, but may have to cancel if Covid runs out of control again. ================= Trading again post lockdown. Went for a late lunch. Food good, service improved. Had chicken wings (excellent) and fish. Slight muddle about the wine list, but provided with a decent bottle of SA Chenin Blanc not on any list without paying extra. Reservation confirmation arrived ten minutes after we did, but the restaurant had it. Prices have suffered a little inflation. Very good Covid safety. ====== Two more visits, one good, the other OK, but three bookings cancelled or messed up. The first was understandbly due to staff unfortunately getting Covid, but the other two were caused by the online booking website accepting reservations for times when the restaurant is now closed due to reduced hours. Whitbread HQ needs to sort itself out. ======= Visited again mid August, mainly because Whitbread keep sending VERY generous offers. Another two very good meals although my partner's Sunday lunch was enough to feed a family. Staffing problems appear to have eased and service was good. One disappointment, real ale was off, however it is difficult to keep well during the heatwaves. Booking and billing still fragile, but this is an HQ problem.

Had a great experience today & we are so pleased the buffet is back (I'm a big eater). The staff adhered to covid guidelines and I was happy to see that they had signage on the door stating that they would still appreciate it if we wore masks to protect their staff and each other. The staff were busy and performed their roles well, nothing was too much trouble and they seemed happy. The food was great as always and there was plenty of it and things were clean and stocked up well. 1st time we have used this beefeater but I wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Stayed at the Premier Inn next door but frequented the Beefeater on all 4 days of my visit. Service was always good, food of a decent standard, although breakfast chef should remove items from the pass when they've been sat under the heat lamps for far too long, as it made some parts of the breakfast inedible. Of particular note and worthy of recognition - Natasha & Josh always gave great service, Natasha always with a cheeky smile. Thank you both. We will be back.

Amazing 100%! I go here almost every day on my lunch break and sometimes even treat myself to fish and chips. I was meant to make this review ages ago but been so busy. It's always been such an escape from my job. The staff are so lovely and the place is super quick. Isabella and Michelle (I hope I spelt that right lol) have also been so kind and are such hard workers creating such a welcoming environment. All the team have been amazing and hope they all get a raise. Definitely recommend to anyone! X

It's always super clean in here. Although we didn't have food, it did look delicious. The staff are polite and friendly. The only downside, they don't do slices of cake or muffins, which would have been nice to have with our coffees.

Been here a couple of times for breakfast and evening dinner. Parking is good. Depending on the day, the staff can be hit or miss... some are super nice and others can be abrupt and miserable.

Food was amazing but the service wasn't all that good. We where seated at the far end and slightly around a corner not to far from the toilets. This made it difficult to alert any of the servers when needed. One poor girl was run of her feet going from table to table as the others stood around talking to the main guy at the door. If he wasn't talking he was on his phone. I know if wasn't super busy but keeping an eye out on the tables would be good. Also no one came to check on us to see if we where good and if we needed anything. Twice I had to get up and walk up to alert them that we had finished and wanted the next corse. At the end of the meal my loyalty card wasn't scanned and I asked what do I do. Was told there I nothing they can do now and to call customer service. I can't fault the food but service sucked big time.

Called into Christie Field's Beefeater today for dinner and wow what an excellent time we had. First of all the car park is free for 3 hours just register your car registration at the reception where you enter the pub. All the staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was lovely especially the chicken Mahiney curry. I would definitely recommend people going to this pub for drinks and food.

Bit disappointed on this visit . Been many times before as its close to friends house... Visiting with 2 visually impaired older people .. Got seated quickly.. Took ages to be served.. Its only 4.50 pm and not too busy... Then the waitress who was very friendly was still chewing food in her mouth while asking for our order.. I know this as she bent down to my seated level as she asked ... Food took a while to come out.. Soup was not homemade... Tomato . Not difficult.. My guest enjoyed their steak . Chicken for ceasar salad was delicious.. Salad was rubbish .. Croutons??? Bit of dried up stale toast chucked on top?? "it was a birthday meal.. Otherwise I would have complained .

Went three for a funeral wake at lunchtime food was ok off from lunch menu. The regular meals looked good off the full menu might try there on an other occasion. Service was a bit slow but there was a lot of us. The waitresses was very good. Parking there was £2 for two hours which I thought was a bit cheeky since we were having a meal there.

We all had a good chat and catch up and even though we were the last to leave, the staff were very accomodating and did not rush us to finish our drinks. Excellent service! The black lady who served us was really nice and friendly. she was quick and had a cheerful smile on all the time. One of the best table service I've received in a while (and I go out to eat on a daily basis)! even the manager had a lovely smile on everytime we saw him. Used for breakfast and early evening meal during stay at the Premier Inn. All staff very friendly and efficient apart from one female manager that was rude to me on one day. I'd used a preloaded discount card the day before and when I tried to use it the next day she said they weren't accepted there. When I explained that I'd used it the day before she basically called me a liar and said no it wasn't, I've never seen those cards. It's not my fault she isn't aware of what cards are accepted and what aren't. Didn't even get an apology when she got it to work.. As I said all other staff we dealt with were spot on with their attitude and service especially during these difficult times. The manager should lead by example.

I went here recently with my family for a pre Christmas meal. There was 10 of us in total. The atmosphere was lovely and the table and facilities were all very clean. Our waiter, ashley i think is his name, he was lovely, polite and attentive. He even took a group photo for us. The food was delivered fast and our drinks were always filled. The only downside was the food. One of the group had to send back the soup because it was cold and my main seemed a bit rushed and under-done . However i put this down to the busy festive period and the fact the place was full. I would go back again. Overall a great night out

That said, Wetherspoon's Can match all of those things for less than half the price. The real test of customer service is when something goes wrong and how fast and efficiently the business recovers the situation and makes it right. This particular branch of Beefeater past that particular test with flying colours. Something has gone wrong and a buffet that had been ordered for a funeral party had not been prepared when we arrived. However Darren, who I believe is the duty manager, jumped into action and sorted itwithin 10 minutes. A terrific response and deserving of the highest praise to all the staff involved. I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue for any occasion. Keep up the good work

I've stayed here with work alot & it's a real split between evening & morning service. Most evenings the staff are great & the food is ok (for a pub). However the morning staff are consistently awful - and God help you should you choose to have your breakfast towards the end of service! They take everything away a least 30mins before & make an issue out of anything you want.

As a chain, no ribeye, no fillet (or not in a condition to serve), says an awful lot about what tends to go out of the kitchen. Went for the surf and turf option (not worth £4 for 3 prawns); asked for rare, came more medium than rare. Was the last plate out with a gap of two minutes, the other 9 at the table all wondered if they'd forgotten my order. Not the only steak on the table either. Close to work, so may come again.

Came here to have dinner with family members staying at the adjacent Premier Inn The Christies Field Beefeater is fairly nicely decorated, with nooks and booths and so on. This is a good thing, because it gives a modicum of privacy as it seems to be a favoured spot for meetings and after work get-togethers for denizens of the surrounding business park. The food is acceptable, if a little pricey for what it is. Although it was not particularly busy when we were there, the service we received varied from rushed and surly to friendly but slow.
