A contemporary Indian which really elevates the traditional curry house experience to a special night out one. The venue is modern and slick. The service, attentive, friendly and efficient. But the five stars are confirmed once the food arrives. It opened originally as a vegetarian venue, and the quality and variety of the starters shows. I would definitely come back here just to have vegetarian small plates. We loved the farmers veggie selection, as well as the beetroot pate. We also tried the prawns which were something special. For mains, both chicken and lamb curries were superb. Meat moist and tender, spicing balanced and not too overpowering, rice flavoursome with the naan just to point. The wine list is small but gives reasonable options at different price points. We finished with a lemon sorbet which gave the perfect balance to an excellent meal. Well done to the team and look forward to discover this little gem to friends and family soon.

I’m not even sure where to start with this review. Soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Markus and his staff went above and beyond. Markus definitely has a massive passion for food and it shows. The menu makes you want to try everything. Really good varied choice of food. Stand out dish for me was the Desi Lamb it was fragrant and spiced perfectly. Already planning my next trip.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal here. The staff are very friendly and professional and make you feel very welcome, and the food is delicious. Everything about this place was amazing, the interior gave authentic vibes and the food combines traditional flavours with a twist presented in a beautiful way. Tasty, appealing food. Good service and yummy mocktails. We tried a lot of dishes and I can say that this is definitely a higher end Indian, not drowned in sauces, these dishes were well balanced, full of flavour and spiced well. Exceptional food, great service ,beautiful setting. We ate in one night had a take out on another, both occasions the food was outstanding and tasted the same! This restaurant is just amaaaaaazing, from the food to the service! 🥰 the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have just come back this evening after using my voucher from Groupon which was good value for money! So we spent roughly around £10-£15 each. The food was very tasty and value for money. Just sone asvice, I am a big eater but I think the 2 mains would be ample for 3 people. I would definitely recommend this place. I live in Oldham and even though it’s far, I have been 3 times because it’s worth it! ♥️♥️♥️

Absolutely lovely food and service, would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting, the food was delicious and flavourful with each item having its own unique taste. The chops, samosa chaat and fish pakora were the favourites from the starters and the bhuna and saag lamb main dishes were tasty and tender. Bought a groupon deal for afternoon tea for my sister. She couldn’t book it so I had to. She asked me to go with her. The afternoon tea was brilliant. Food was halal so we had the meat option. Extremely tasty, and loved the choices of food given. We don’t drink alcohol so we were given a choice of mocktails. Service was fab. Staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely go again. My sister loved it as much as I did, too.

This is the Real Deal - a fantastic Indian Restaurant which has genuine authentic Indian flavours and a smart, modern dining experience compared to most other "Indian" restaurants. The Chef, who clearly knows his stuff, has come up with some super delicious dishes with subtle and complex flavours that you rarely find elsewhere. We had a few dishes, vegetarian, a couple of chicken dishes, ranging from more classic to some of the newer creations and they were all excellent and worked very well together. If you can't find any specific favourites on the menu, just ask the staff and they're great at explaining similar dishes or if they have different names and pointing out new things to try. I'm definitely going to be a regular here to try out some of the other items on the menu and it's great to have a real gem like this in the heart of Didsbury - well worth a visit!

It's great to see that people are proud of what they do. The staff were very friendly and professional as well. We got the tapas menu which is new. Thrilled that I found this restaurant. Its menu is imaginative and different (as well as including all the usual Asian well known dishes). Staff were very courteous and we had a really lovely night. Tried 2 dishes that we had not tried before and they were so tasty. The coriander dip was delicious (best I've ever tasted) and the owner even went to the trouble of sending me home with a tub!. Such a nice place with an option of dining outside area.

Brilliant restaurant Went there for our first anniversary with our little butterfly. Soon as walked in was greeted with a warm welcome. There was enough space to even put the baby pram next to the table. We ordered papadums, chilli chicken, lamb chops, desi lamb curry and Haydrabadi lamb biryani. My bad didn't take any pictures because I promised my misses not using my phone on the date night 🙃. The presentation was amazing and the spices was very balanced. Loved every dish. Specially the chilli chicken was absolutely delicious. The service was very warm and friendly and the environment in the restaurant was very calm and relaxing. My family and I had a lovely time eating at Dhoom Dhaam. The decor was beautiful and the food was delicious. The dal makani was rich and creamy, the veg manchurian had the perfect blend of spice, the pani puri shots had an interesting take on the regular pani puris and the okra fry were nice and crispy. The owner, Markus, was so inviting and along with the staff, made the experience much more pleasurable. Would highly recommend to visit and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

Try it! We had the seafood platter, chicken saag, butter chicken, and lamb biryani. Every dish was really good, especially the biryani. We did have a small mistake when food was brought to us, but the customer service was amazing and the issue was corrected. This place is only round the corner from my parents', so the other day we got a takeaway from here, and it was fantastic. We had a mix of veggie and meat dishes, starters and mains, and I can't recommend enough, it really was very good. It also didn't take too long from when we ordered, to it being ready to collect (not that we were in a great rush)! Didsbury has some really good restaurants and takeaways, but these guys really are worth a look in, if you like Indian food.

We celebrated a family birthday here today. Gorgeous flavours and textures. The chef coped wonderfully with our differing dietary needs and palates. The staff looked after eight of us very well. Another point, worth mentioning (to me at least) , is that the toilets were spotless.

Fabulous restaurant. I'm not a vegetarian but if all vegetarian food was like this, I could easily convert. Now with not being vegetarian nor Indian I hadn't really a clue what to order. The manager is extremely customer focused and gave his recommendations, I was not disappointed. The food has lots of flavour and reasonably priced. I don't ordinarily recommend restaurants, but it would be remiss if I didn't on this restaurant as you would be missing out if you didn't try it. The staff are excellent, one of the waitresses was Carla, sadly I didn't get the names of the others. They were very polite and friendly and were more than happy to take time for a chat even though it was busy. To end this review I would sum up by saying, give it a go. Ask the manager for his recommendations if you are stuck with what to order.

Visited on Sunday afternoon. Lovely decor plus place but the thali's five of our guests ordered were totally bland in taste. The lamb dishes initially had the meat too tough were fine with replacement although far too salty. Dhoom Dhaam is a nice place but need to get the chef to do a much much better job including checking the food is right, prior to dishes leaving the kitchen! The potential they have is high but need to understand they have too many well established competitors who can make life difficult for their turnover, profits plus survival. Located at expensive Didsbury is no licence to succeed!

My partner and I came here today for the first time. What an amazing experience we had. The waitress and Anil were both very attentive and recommended us a selection of dishes from the menu, everything we had was made to perfection and tasted amazing. This is most definitely the best indian food that we have had. Now, the drinks selection. Again, wow. If you are a vegetarian/vegan and like Indian food then you can’t go wrong with Dhoom Dhaam, in fact if you enjoy Indian food at all then it is a must visit (I definitely didn’t feel like I was missing any meat). The restaurant is gorgeously inviting and the staff are attentive yet in the background. There is a stunning bar menu to enjoy with one of the delicious cocktails, I can highly recommend the bhindi kurkuri and the vegetable samosas. I could rave on and on about how delicious the food is but you simply have to go and try it. The food will say it all. I can’t wait to visit again.

Had been to restaurant today. Ambience 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Food taste 3/5 (ordered Bombay grilled sandwich bang on, choley masala good, daal wada not on the mark and pav bhaji no where to close to authentic) We were asked for feedback and to leave a feedback and so am I doing. After every food being served and asking how did we find it and to leave feedback isn’t nice as customers come there to enjoy the time together, ambience and meal as well but food isn’t their only criteria. So it’s good to leave customers alone after asking once for the taste and quality of food. And if customer gives you genuine feedback please take it positively and hear them out then explaining and giving various reasons for why it’s not tasting authentic. I do understand feedback is important for your business but shouldn’t be your only criteria, taste of food and other things need to be worked upon. After serving food and being pushy to offer replacement food whilst Customer doesn’t want it as they have lost interest needs be changed. Accept that customer didn’t like it and offer them partial or full discount or replacement food or nothing but don’t be pushy. Service charge being charged in general by all restaurants as an a compulsion is again forceful way to get gratuity. Customers should be asked and be given an option if they would like to pay or not and the percentage should be decided by customer. I wasn’t happy with the service as the first thing customer should be offered or asked is water but wasn’t. At the end of meal after choking with corriander seeds put in pav bhaji (not a right ingredient to put in pav bhaji) I had to ask for water. It’s not a complaint but a genuine feedback what I felt about food, service etc and it needs to be changed genuinely as it’s important to know what customers want and their preferences and likes and dislikes. Hopefully this feedback is taken positively as I have explicitly put what I felt but others might not feel the same so people reading feedback should go visit the restaurant and make their own decision.

Visited Dhoom Dhaam on opening night. Such a beautiful restaurant with lovely staff providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We had a few cocktails which were amazing. The bramble was my fave, but the negroni was a close second. I recommend the samosa and bhindi kurkuri, both recommended by the owner. We also had aloo ghobi, tikka paneer and butter naan. We were full of delicious food. The food is amazing and I can’t wait to visit again to try the dosa and the rest of the menu.
