Exquisite food in a relaxed eclectic atmosphere. The staff were more than lovely although left us a little toward the end when it got busy. The food is the real hero here with a seasonal menu offering a really advanced palate of rich flavours.

Well presented and tasty food, first time I've had a Cod Kiev and it was delicious, the prices are decent and the atmospehere is very cozy. The burger was a bit basic and dry and even though there was barely anyone dining in at the time, the service was a bit slow with no seeming shortage of staff

We went for a birthday lunch & had a really lovely meal. We all went for the two course menu of starter & main. The food was delicious & portion size spot on. The birthday girl was also presented with a complimentary cocktail of her choice at the start & a birthday plate containing mini brownies topped with cinder toffee & raspberry purée at the end of the meal. All the staff were very pleasant & service was really good. The decor is lovely & there is a a relaxed atmosphere. Absolutely no complaints at all. Would definitely recommend.

First time visit. Food was excellent and enjoyed. Service at the start very attentive but towards the end felt we had to look for the staff. Unfortunately today coincided with some work on the roof and our table was covered in dust coming in through the light fitting. We moved ourselves to another table quickly. We had to find staff to pay our bill and we did explain why we had moved tables but they didn’t seem at all interested. Made a lasting impression on us won’t be returning.

Your run-of-the-mill review simply could not do this restaurant justice. A Sunday lunch for four became a supreme dining experience. I won't go on, beyond saying: anything you could ask about this restaurant, the answer is - it's incredibly good.

Great Restaurant! We came for our anniversary and got a lovely table and had the most attentive staff. The food was tasty and the wine was cold. We will definitely be back.

Had a lovely meal here for my mothers 70th Birthday. We managed to book the private dining room as we had our young children with us and it is difficult to keep them sat down for long periods of time. This meant they could leave the table without us worrying about them wondering off or disturbing other diners. The staff here were really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - most of us went for the Sunday Roast and everyone enjoyed their meals. There was a delay in our coffees at the end of the meal so we chased these up - the waiter came and apologised for this explained that there had been a confusion and removed the charge for the coffees from the bill - A nice gesture that was very much appreciated. We all enjoyed the experience - eating out with young children can be stressful, but we were made to feel welcome and will be returning again.

Decent Breakfast with very poor service. We came and sat down outside and waited for 15 mins unaware we had to order inside only due to it being so busy. the staff walked past 5-6 times and could of at least told us, or passed us a menu and told us we had to order at the bar Our drinks order never came until we reminded them. So we received our breakfast meal before we literally received our two cups of tea (that doesn't take long to make lets be honest) When the drinks came they'd forgotten 1 glass of water too that we ordered When the food came we didn't have cutlery and it took 5 mins for them to bring it, in which our food started to go cold When the tea came as asked for sugar (which should just come anyway) and got told there was none, went and asked again inside and there were small pots of sugar, confusing? The overall customer service was very very poor and probably some of the worst i've experienced. Fortunately the food was decent enough. probably a 4/5 Service a 1/5 Overall i thought 2/5 would be too harsh so went with a very low 3

I had this place in mind for months before deciding to visit here on a date night. We booked a table easily online (via their website) and the pictures there lived up to the real thing. The deco in this place is amazing to create the right atmosphere for any occasion.... Date night, drinks with friends at the weekend or during the week. The staff were very friendly and the food.... (30/5/21) Since our last review we have been to George's regularly - we can say that our experience has always been positive, the service has been outstanding and the food has been delicious. One of our go to places, without doubt. We'll done. (Previous review) We are frequent visitors to the restaurant and have been for many years. Today having visited for breakfast we were told that we would have to wait thirty minutes to be served because a party of thirty (30) were due to attend later. As we were only a party of two the chef didn't want to cook for us. Appalling conduct and explanation. We drove to Old Hall where we were immediately served; sat beside an open fire. Ryan do better.

What a lovely place! 6 of us had dinner here on Saturday evening. The food was delicious, however, please, please, please put more vegetables on the plate or on a side dish. I had the sea bream it was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delightful. Two had the shin beef they said the beef melted in the mouth one had pork chop and commented that it was perfect. The last two had the beef salad and they completely cleared their plates saying it was delicious and the pomegranate seeds really made the dish. Desserts were to die for. We are going back very soon. If there was more veg then you really would get what you paid for. I must say that, Ben, was a fabulous ambassador for your establishment he was attentive, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Had a fantastic evening out here for my wedding anniversary. My first time eating out of an evening since Covid started. The staff were friendly and efficient, the service was fantastic. I felt safe and relaxed and the food was absolutely divine. When they found out it was our anniversary, we even got some prosecco on the house, which was a very pleasant surprise. Overall it was a great night and I'd definitely recommend it.

Early Christmas menu for my birthday and it was very nice. Turkey dinner with all the trimming. Not rushed and the food was excellent. One of our party has gluten allergy but they didn't lose a stride almost everything was available. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Beware they serve Sticky Toffee Pudding so if you are lacking in willpower you might have a problem. Personally I can give it up anytime I want. Honestly! 😀

My wife and I went for Dinner at George's since we drive pass it everyday and it's always busy, which is a good sign. We have heard great reviews about the place and great news, they are true. In a nutshell: Nice atmosphere, lovely staff and great food. Staff are very attentive and the place is nice and cosy. Our experience Since we hadn't book a table in advance, we had to waiting in the bar, which was completely fine. We had a drink and chilled until the time the staff stated to comeback for our table. Ordered food. If I nitpicking: food could of arrived a bit quicker, was not a problem for us. Food: Amazing, enough said. Was a great night out with wife. If I had more free time, would be in there most weekends.

Used to be amazing and I would have given 4/5 stars but unfortunately seems to have gone downhill recently. I brought my Dad and Step Mother here recently with my wife and ordered the pate which used to be amazing and it arrived as a lump with a piece of toast - it felt like a rush job and wasn't the same level of professionalism we used to receive with this plate. The rest of the food came and it was much of the same, food was ok but without much thought about the presentation which made it feel like the chef's couldn't be bothered. Service was still good but unfortunately now won't be returning after we have spent many years dining here.

Booked a table for 8pm. On arrival was told the table had been let go as they only hold for 15min and the booking was 7.45. I accepted this as thought it must be my mistake. Managed to get seated at an outdoor table to the side, we were more than one household anyway. The guy who served us was friendly and service was good. Decided not to stay and eat as it was lashing it down. Checked my booking ....it was 8pm. Hope to return anyway.

Also repeated visits have had items regularly missing and on today's visit the soup wasn't as advertised which the front of house staff didn't know had been changed until they were serving it and we challenged it. So the front and back aren't talking but the front also don't actually know what is on the plate in front of them

The staff are great and the environment is good. But, sadly, the sunday morning breakfast I had (this is 4/5 weeks ago now) was poor. The sausages and mushrooms had been cooked a long time earlier (or they were defrosted after being cooked on another occasion). A bloomer loaf is not the same as a factory made white sliced loaf - astonished to have to point that out. The eggs had very pale yolks - either old or cheap (no joke intended). It wasn't cheap either. Sad also to have to do this here but there is no way of leaving private feedback on the website.

Busy bank holiday so service was challenged. The restaurant was delightful and in a very attractive location overlooking the canal. The food was delicious - when it finally arrived - and reasonably priced. Would recommend this as part of a lovely day out in a part of Manchester that is close to the city centre but really feels like an old Cheshire village!

Gorgeous restaurant! Came here for brunch on Saturday. They took our booking of 25 people, and we're so flexible and polite when we change it to 15 people with 10min notice, then 30 people showed up! We we're in their upstairs private areas. They have some really gorgeous different areas for different numbers of groups. But the whole restaurant is decorate in beautiful neutral tones, modern and comfortable. All the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Loved the eggs royal, bacon buttie(on brioche) and french toast. The staff were prefectly attentive to the needs of anyone in our boisterous group. Great level of detail in food, presentation and service. Would love to go back here for dinner but off to London already. I highly recommend this place.

I went there with my work coleagues on a christmass do. The evening was nice. No rain. We went inside the restaurant. Nice gentleman ask if we have reservation. Took us to our table. The atmosphare in the place was realy nice. It didnt take long before we were offered menus with drinks. They had a really good choice of wines. The starters was amazing. The Confeit duck i had, tasted like heaven. The main dish was good too. The desert. Ahh the desert was so nice. The entire evening was great. The young and charming waitress that was looking after us was nice. Its a realy nice place with good food and good personality. ill recomend and definitley will come back again.

Seems a nice bar. However they have no hand pump British beers which is a surprise. I tried to order and another chap was at the bar asking the same question. The barmaid said it was happening a lot. Maybe they are missing a trick. Not everyone likes gassy lager!

I love this place. Warm atmosphere, lovely and romantic, food is fantastic and the service is exemplary. I couldn't rate this place highly enough. By far my favorite Italian restaurant outside of the City Centre. clearly the other reviews didn't have the decency to air their grievance with the restaurant first which I am sure they would have been all than too happy to correct. In a lovely part of Worsley just outside of Monton. Unless you are driving or local is a bit of a pain to get to.
