Really good service. The waitress was very attentive and offered us a box for our leftovers. The food portions were very good, especially the mixed grill. The food itself is a bit plain. The salmon could have done with a bit more seasoning. I would definitely revisit if I'm in the area

Service amazing! I would say the food quality is high ! Lots to choose from the menu ! Menu is easy to read our waiter explained everything as our son was asking questions! For a chain it does deliver ! Why 3 stars then ! I asked for a quite table in the corner or outside! The answer was no we are not using them ! Then right in front of me they filled them which was rude of the woman who said no ! Ethan a top waiter make sure you treat him well as good staff are hard to find !

Absolutely great place and fabulous staff. We were served by Elaine (apologies if I spelt that wrong) who was an top notch service! She had great banter looked after us all extremely well, made sure we were happy and made us laugh a few times. She even helped take a group photo of us all having our Christmas Dinner. This place is always one the best/favourites for a few years and it's always down ti great food good prices and excellent staff. Looks better now since its been refurbished! (as not had chance to go with covid and work) And some friends who couldn't come are already asking us in group chat when the next one is as they now want to come!

Fantastic dinner after a long drive, our server was amazing, very friendly and gave us plenty of time to order our food - she even gave us a coin so our boy could use the Chicken House 😃🐣 I had the Dirty Bird burger which was HUGE and delicious, my partner had chicken & ribs which looked incredible. Not forgetting the amazing salad bar - blue cheese sauce 😋😋

Not a great experience. The salad bar was not stocked, therefore limited choice. Tables and floor were dirty. Service was slow the food looked good but was rather bland.

Elaine was lovely - honest, open, friendly! She went above and beyond to let us know that there would be a fishcake delivery when we were disappointed that it wasn't in stock - she advised us to start on the salad bar and our starters first! Perfect advice! Then, when our food arrived, she arranged it nicely on the table and took photos of us and the food from different angles for us - including climbing up on a stool! The food was flavoursome and hot which is always a bonus. The salad was standard buffet style with great sauces, but the white bread rolls were perfectly firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Starters were average, but the fishcake and the cheese pastry were delicious! Beef burger was overdone unfortunately. Waffle dessert was a hearty portion and tasty - possibly a bit too sweet though! Appreciated the individual toilets and the cleanliness was decent. Overall, food surprised me after not going for years... Which means that my expectations were low!

Wonderful family meal, food was lovely fresh and tasty, not just your average pub grub you seem to get in some places. Staff was very friendly and polite. Made us feel very welcome. One team member to mention in particular was Sarah who went above and beyond to help us out with any questions we had with regards to the menu, and was fantastic with my children, what a lovely member of the staff team. Absolutely amazing experience, probably the best service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. A large group of us went there for my son’s first birthday. Earlier in the day I’d called to ask if my partner and I could arrive early to put up some balloons, to which they said we could just drop the decorations off early and they could set them up for us. Pleased to have one thing off our plate on a busy day, we gratefully accepted. When I arrived with my little boy I was blown away by the level of effort they’d put in, the table looked absolutely incredible, napkins folded into nice shapes, balloons in professional looking arrangements, the works. During the meal nothing was too much trouble. Elaine and Finlay served our table and were helpful and friendly at all times. Elaine was the person who did the table arrangement and she was just generally incredible the whole meal. Their great service really made my little boys birthday party extra special, would 100% recommend this Harvester for a special event.

Myself and my daughter had a lovely meal at The Harvester. The food was well cooked and hot. My daughter couldn't finish her meal and we were given a food box to bring it home. A lot of the items on the menu and salad bar weren't available but food was good. Salad bar is no longer self serve so you need to get a staff member to help you get the salad. I would've just given the restaurant a 3 star but our waitress, Katie was extremely friendly and nice so I gave the restaurant an extra star because of her. Katie was very polite and always had a smile on when serving us - thank you for the lovely service 😀

Visited the harvester at the lowery today (22.7.22) the staff are very well presented, pleasent and nothing was to much (was served by aimee) the food was very tasty and hot, the prices are competitive. My only one small issue was a can of brew dog was £5 which I think is very expensive considering you can buy 10 cans for £12 but I would still recommend this company

For no frills cheap meal for a family Harvester is an option, staff very friendly and helpful, meal came out quickly, even though it was busy at the time, mains meals were filling but my partners chicken was dry possibly overcooked, my belly pork was nice though, pudding were also hit and miss, my sponge pudding was very tasty, but again partners crumble was a light dusting of crumble and mushy fruit underneath, will come here again possibly when it's quieter

Really affordable and nice outside area. Had the chicken flatbread with the jacket potato. The sour cream had split but it was a 25 degree day so I won't let that affect the review. The free refills on the pop was a really good deal. Food did take around half an hour but it was a sunny day and the staff working were amazing about it all. Would recommend!

The Staff were very nice however we wasn't blown away with the food. Our meals were well presented however gammon was very salty and chips were dry and looked as though they had been rewarmed. We had to ask to be seated as there didn't appear to be anybody interested in showing us to a seat. Food also took a while to arrive.

The staff are excellent: friendly and very accommodating to my family's dietry requirements. Emanuel was exceptionally helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble: even turning the air conditioning down a few notches. Food is good and the desserts are even better. Good views as the sun sets over the Quays. Pretty good value even though prices are on the up (aren't they everywhere?) but Harvester often have offers on.

This is a typical English pub type restaurant (and by typical this is meant as a positive remark). The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that when compared against the likes of i.e. Miller and Carter the food (steak) is not exceptional but then again the price range is different. Certainly above average and the friendly staff help a lot to value the overall experience to a 4.

Had a lovely time celebrating Fathers day with my family yesterday at Harvesters,the staff were nice and friendly the food was lovely, well prepared as usual and the service was prompt as we got all our meals on time and even when I couldn't eat anymore Chloe gladly helped me package the rest of my meal to take home. We would like to Appreciate Chloe for taking care of Us ,she was brilliant and of course the Manager who attended to us at the entrance (sorry can't remember your name). We ate here before a show at The Lowry because it was cheap. Turned out it was super busy 'cause the footy was on too but the staff were great and served us quickly. Food was great, I had a huge chicken burger with chips and you get unlimited salad bowl with every main meal and unlimited soft drinks so excellent value for money. Would defo eat there again.

We used to visit here multiple times a month until the prices changed. £3 for a can of Coke is extortionate! The restaurant was fully booked as we expected, we were shown to our reserved table by a friendly staff member who promptly disappeared. We only ever saw two members of staff the entire time. Tables and floors were dirty, uncleared tables left full of plates for almost an hour, no highchairs, the food was greasy and cold, and the delays were long. The poor staff were overworked and trying to do five things at once, I don't blame them at all. The restaurant needs more staff and more organisation, especially on days that the bigger shows are on at the Lowry. We used to love this place but we were so so disappointed.

Since they closed the harvester local to me this is the first time I have been to another when having a leisurely day out. Food orders couldn’t be taken until after 12 midday, that was ok as already helped myself to the salad bar. Now that wasn’t bad but I like to have croutons with mine. Restaurant wasn’t that busy but anyone ordering food had at least a 40 minute wait which was a put off. Food was ok, but my partners was slightly over cooked on the gammon making harder to digest. The visit was a pleasant one as was visiting the makers market. The staff were friendly but looked like they were stressed which didn’t put me off my visit.

The delay in writing this post is shameful but I needed to share my experience of this place.....we showed up at 1900 to watch a show at the Lowry at 2000 so we were cutting it fine to eat (our jobs and traffic delayed us)...however, we informed the staff we were on a tight deadline for food and everyone from the front of house to server, Elaine, and kitchen staff managed to get us fed and on our way during peak time. The food was good, the salad bar a real bonus....but the staff by far makes this place! Elaine was aware of our deadline after Ethan at the door had relayed communication we were in a rush and kept us informed how long it would be and even insisted we mustn't rush eating when our food arrived. The team also had a great assistant, Emanuelle, who we were informed wasn't full time staff at the restaurant but his attention to detail was impressive. He was like a busy worker bee non stop clearing and taking food and drinks the whole time we were there. Now I know it's his job...but usually you see staff standing around chatting once in a while, but not once did I see him do this, he was always find himself things to do! Anyway,the reason for my post was a huge thank you for making a stressful start of our 1 night of the year night out a hell of a lot more enjoyable 😁

Food was average and we ordered from the set lunch menu - however the lemon sponge was not available and the other two options I don’t like. Would have been nice to have an alternative. The Starter I had was breaded mushrooms, which burnt my lip as I bit into it (hot watery substance from the mushrooms). The Classic burger I had however was very meaty and fresh. The salad bar was limited compared to other Harvesters I have been to and there was a lot browned lettuce. Disabled toilet had ‘used’ toilet paper on the floor which I found disgusting.

It's Friday lunch time and my second time here, attracted mainly by their free unlimited salad with every main dish. The restaurant is packed and manpower looks tight. Tired and overwhelmed staff rushing about. We had a bit of wait before Ethan managed to find us a nice table and quickly clean it up for us. Ethan is as busy as other staff but he tries his very best on everything, getting us the salad, and attending to other details. That's professionalism and deserve a good credit. I can see another staff (a tall big guy) look unhappy and try to avoid work. Maybe the restaurant management can look at why this staff is unhappy and help him sort things out. We spent less than £60 for three and it's good value. Good place for a family eat-out but maybe better to come on Monday to Thursday.

Quite a long wait for food to come, over 40 minutes. Both steaks were ordered medium rare, one was, the other was rare, I didn't want to wait any longer so ate what I could. The beef dripping sauce was nice

Update 16/12/2019 Just had to update this review. I've tried dozens of breakfast outlets over many months all over the city. For me, Harvester are my breakfast champions. Nothing beats them for value, professionalism, or ambience. You have to try a self designed breakfast at Harvester to believe it. Ace Place. Ace staff. Harvester for breakfast and most delighted with everything. Cleanliness, atmosphere, quality of shop fitting and furnishing, nothing dissapointing; even the all important staff measured up to their tasks. To the truckers in Trafford Park. This is the breakfast to boast about. Come with your tongues hanging out and leave with your bellies bursting; it's that good. Don't turn up like a tramp in your high viz vest. Show some dignity and smarten up, the place deserves it.

The place was empty, bar 2 tables, and cold. The staff were slow, and unenthusiastic, looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. The service was poor, as we received our food before our drinks and we didn't end up getting them until ready to leave. We only ordered a juice and a coffee. I found it overpriced for what it was, but the food was good, even though the portions small. I feel I'm being generous with 3 stars, but the place was clean, covid rules maintained and the food was good, hence the rating.

I haven't been to this place for over a year because the service used to be diabolical but this time I was with a friend who wanted to visit and I must say I was pleasantly surprised and had a nice experience. We were greeted by a lovely girl named sarah who showed us to a table within seconds of our arrival. Her service was outstanding she wasn't pushy but she was there when we needed her. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and assisted us with our choice of food. When the food arrived (chicken burger and fries) it was in some kind of tin bowl. Personally I am not a lover of food served on boards slates tins etc I just like my food on a plate. I explained this to Sarah and she quickly got a plate and transferred my food for me which was very helpful without making me feel like I was asking for the impossible. Sarah was friendly and chatty but not overbearing. On this occasion our visit was almost perfect, this was mainly due to the excellent service provided by Sarah she is a credit to this establishment

Experience didn't start well, lots of empty tables but we were asked to wait at the bar til they had a table free for us (we walked past three tables we could have used whilst walking to the bar). My friend then tried ordering a drink only to have the girl take his order and then walk off saying it's not her job. Waited around ten minutes and got a table for four, even though there were five of us, one of my friends had to grab his own chair from another table. We then had a lovely lady serve us, very chatty and friendly. An incident where some teenagers put their hands in most of the food at the salad bar, all the food had to be binned and fresh brought out. Food was very nice, and the lady made sure it was a quick process as we had booked cinema tickets.

The restaurant is bright and clean and the staff are very friendly and efficient, unfortunately they didn't see us waiting to be seated so I had to go and ask. The alcoholic drinks are expensive but they do great deals on refillable coffees and soft drinks. The salad bar was well stocked and fresh with plenty of sauces and bread rolls. I had the 83 combo which is half a rack of ribs, a half chicken with gravy and I changed to skin on fries. The ribs were delicious but I wasn't keen on the flavour on the chicken which was a little bit drier than I like. Hubby had a bacon and cheese burger, he had all the salad and sauce left off, with fries. He said that it was the best burger he'd eaten in a long time and ate every bite. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get and we will be back!

I won't bore you with the menu as it follows the standard Harvester menu that can be found on their website. This branch is located in the front area of the Lowry Outlet Mall and so is ideal for those visiting the theatre or cinema. It can become very busy indeed and service suffers during those times but, if you tell staff that you are needing to be done by a certain time, they will tell you which items are quickest on the menu and you get the feeling that they are trying to help. The food quality is adequate to good. It is never going to be a fine dining experience, of course and it may fall slightly short of the nearby Beefeater at the Quay House but it is slightly better than the average I have experienced in Harvesters in the UK. Overall, it's not bad value and the service issue, whilst needing addressing perhaps, is only going to be as you would like if you actually tell the staff what you would like. The Americans have this down to an art so maybe we should, when visiting an restaurant chain (albeit a British one) at a mall before going to the movies, take just one more page out of their book.
