Went for lunch one Sunday. It was very quiet - only our table and one other was occupied. A member of our party has a shellfish allergy. The waiter requested allergies and endeavoured to ensure we were aware of what we could order. Unfortunately, they inforned us that they had a second fryer out of order which decreased the menu choice, as they used the working one for frying shellfish. I know it cannot be helped if equipment breaks, but as the menu choice was already small, that person had limited choice. The menu was also limited for the vegetarian among us. However, the food we did choose was nice. The downstairs toilet was absolutely freezing cold and was in need of a deep clean. The service was fine.

First thing that it was very cold and only a tiny fan heater and we were cold including the food after a short period of time. Food was nice but had to wait ages for staff to get payment done although they were friendly. Surprisingly no paella on the menu anymore.

The tables are barrels so really hard to sit underneath especially if you're tall like me, I couldn't reach food. The food itself was good especially the octopus but my partner had a steak that wasn't cooked to how he asked and also very fatty so I'd stick to the seafood.

The food is great and the atmosphere is perfect. I personally recommend tapas and sangria. Main dish tastes good but the portion of it is a bit small. In general, I really love this restaurant.

Service was exceptional from the young spanish waiver from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Food was cooked well but a little bland. Definitely worth trying, the chef may have been having an off day when we went in. Don't think we'd go back though.

Absolutely amazing food. We went for a bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were very attentive however as it was a bottomless brunch the staff weren't very forthcoming filling up your glass when it was empty. I'd definitely go back to have lunch or dinner with friends.

It was raining, and we were craving for Spanish food. All of the sudden we saw right in the corner this restaurant that made us feel in a real Spanish tasca. Nice service and delicious food. You cannot miss the amazing Cheesecake!!!

A perfectly serviceable tapas offering. Has a sister restaurant in Liverpool the restaurant looks the part, has a good ambience and the food is well presented. It's a good menu choice with a generous alcohol selection from wine to cocktails. Food wise, dishes ranged from really tasty chorizo to overcooked steak and pork cheek. Manchester does have a good selection of tapas places and this would be mid-table in terms of choice. Service was good and helpful and it's pretty good value for dinner.

This is possibly my favourite place to be in Manchester. It is a little piece of Spain, right in the middle of Deansgate. The tapas is not cheap, but IS delicious. The wine choice is exactly what you'd expect in a small bar in Seville. La Vina is small, but has several floors, so unless you turn up on a Friday night without a booking, you should be accommodated. They used to have live music nights, but not sure if this is still the case, and if they do, then these really are a treat. Can't recommend highly enough.

Food was really disappointing. Extremely over cooked pork belly, cold calamari. Advertised shell-off prawns and received shell-on. Table of 8 were seated next to the cold entrance in an empty restaurant. Service was lacklustre, I found myself looking around often for a waiter and there being no one in sight. Wouldn’t visit again, there are many restaurants in Manchester that trump this establishment on every front, food, service and value.

Lovely, friendly staff. Really nicely decorated. Great food 10/10, and very reasonably priced. Situated in a good location, not far from other bars, etc for afterwards. There is no nearby parking, nearest parking about 5 mins walk and we 3 hours came to £10.50.

Went in seeing as it was well rated on Google. Nice decor. The staff who showed us to our table and the person who served us were wonderful. The drinks list is really good, lots of variety and selection and we enjoyed our drinks. The food was average and nothing like the other Spanish tapas places we have been to which was a complete disappointment.

3 stars as its ok. Went on a Wednesday night which could have made a difference but can only review my experience. Thought the staff were pretty disinterested and we felt like we were a job that had to be done. Paella was really good and the rest of the food was good too. If you love Tapas then you won't be disappointed on this front. The atmosphere was lacking a but I think that was due to it being quiet and it being a Wednesday more than anything. It's a big place though so the atmosphere can get lost. Overall.. Didn't have a ad experience but didn't have a good one. Some upbeat friendly staff would have made all the difference.

Stopped for a quick bite after some shopping on Saturday afternoon, the place was full so we had a drink at the bar while we waited for a table. It took 20 minutes to get a at table for two , although there were a number of the bigger tables free, maybe they could ask people to share a bigger table rather the wait for a limited number of smaller tables to become free? But once seated the service was good.and our waitress was friendly and efficient, making sure we ordered enough. The food was good without being overly imaginative and portion sizes were good except for the Octopus leg, which was quite small but well cooked. Overall a nice restaurant, reasonably priced, and a great place for a drink and some good food while out shopping.

Really enjoyed the location and wine options. The food we had was all really nice too. One not is the olives are not as you'd except so I'd avoid those unless you're used to this type of bitter olive. And for £4 for 5/6 olives it's a little pricey! However, I will return as everything we ordered was very nice.

Had such a fantastic experience here. We showed up half hour early due to Google profile timings being wrong and yet they let us sit and have drinks and olives before the kitchen were even ready. Super lovely staff members. Wine was really great, a good dry selection that didn’t take away from the flavour of the food. The food was amazing. Their 3 tapas and a drink option is perfect for a small meal. We ordered 2 more dishes including chicken and fish options and all were honestly a delight to eat. Would 10000% recommend this place for a lunchtime snack AND dinner time indulgence.

Probably my favourite spanish tapas place in Manchester. Food is so good in great prices, everyday serving some different specials. Good drinks and coctails. Super friendly staff and nice interior. I love La Vina - genuinely think it's one of the most underrated places for a quick bite and drink in Manchester. When the building work is complete it will once again be a lovely little area to sit out in the sun and enjoy a proper glass of wine. The staff are all lovely without fail. They handled some 'characters' with absolute professionalism when I visited, and every time I am impressed by the quality of the food and wine.

Initial welcome was not very nice with waitress having an attitude for some reason. Seems to be very stuck up attitude here!! We proceeded to order and the food arrived reasonably quickly the bread was all burnt under the top pieces and luckily the waiter noticed my face and asked me if everything was ok, as soon as he saw the burnt bread he apologised and replaced it with some unburnt bread. Need 3/4 dishes per person, quite expensive for what you get in terms of portions, but tasted nice and made a good change.

My boyfriend and I went on our first date here almost 3 years ago and we have been back numerous times since. I actually think that La Vina is really underrated! The food is always really tasty and the atmosphere is relaxed but vibrant - quite typically Spanish. As its tapas, you do have to order quite a few dishes to get full, but I think it adds to the experience as you get a good variety. I'd definitely recommend it.

I took a new mancunian conquest on a date, I'm not from Manchester so picked this restaurant at random as we were wondering around. I'm so glad we stumbled on this place. We each picked 3 tapas and every one of them was superb. The highlights were the mechango chorizo from the special board and a pork dish. The food came fast and the staff were great; the restaurant was clean, cosy and interesting. I would 100 percent come back here and highly recommend the place, although sadly, it doesn't look like I'll be bringing my date back. NEXT.

Love this place. Ideal central location and a mere 5 minute walk from Victoria station. Great food, service is prompt, polite and the cost is reasonable for a city centre location. Make sure you book for the weekend, or you'll be lucky to get a table.

I must have walked past this restaurant hundreds of times, and often muttered, "We must try there one day". We'll today I finally popped in with my family for a lazy Sunday lunch. The staff were wonderfully friendly, and characteristically laid back. There was no rush from the waiters and we ordered an initial batch of tapas, then ordered another couple, and another couple etc. Tapas can be a real "hit and miss" affair in the UK, but all the dishes we ordered we're perfect; from the hearty patatas bravas y chorizo, to the tasty spinach croquettes, with their surprisingly spicy sauce. There was a pretty impressive list of Spanish wines to choose from , and the beer selection wasn't bad too. The only improvement I'd suggest would be more options for the kids. The waiter was extremely chatty, and at pains to make sure we relaxed and enjoyed the food. We'll definitely be back again soon.

Tables were very small for a tapas bar... portions were very small (even for tapas!) so you may need to order more part way through your meal and our pork belly wasn't rendered properly so it was chewy and fatty. Glad we tried it but I wouldn't go back.

If you want good Spanish food in a nice settings and ambiance, this is the place to go. If you want an even more authentic experience, I'd recommend El Rincon which is not too far away. And just totally avoid La Tasca, altogether. To review this place on its own, I really can't find any major faults with it. Definitely a recommend.

It's got all the dishes you'd expect from a tapas restaurant; potatas bravas, Spanish omelette, paella but also an extensive selection of cured meats and hams. I highly recommend the chorizo la sidra. I would suggest getting around 8 plates between two, this should be enough to sample the great menu and should be very filling!
