Great food at a very high level at a incredibly competitive price. The decoration and atmosphere of the restaurant is more like a odd run down cafeteria rather than a restaurant but this is offset by the amazing quality food. The Razor clams are to die for, honestly if your coming here please do yourself a favour and order them! Will definitely be returning quite regularly in the future

Was recommended this by a friend who lives in Manchester. At first I thought it was a new restaurant opened by BNOs as I know a lot have come over and ventured into the food business. Turns out its been there 5 years and my friend only recently discovered it 😂😅 Food was excellent, the beef brisket to die for and I will be returning again in the new year.

Very lovely place for Chinese food! The razor clamp, steamed scallop, lobster Yee mee and their milk tea are highly recommended. Six of us with two dishes of lobster only cost us approximately £200. Fast pace service, comfortable place. Will definitely come again.

A Chinese restaurant aimed at the Chinese community. It was pack in here today and people where getting turned away which isn't very Chinese. Had ho fun with beef in black bean sauce, morning glory and salt and pepper chicken wings. Really for 2 people. I thought it was very good. Just over £30. The kitchen had a jet engine to heat up the woks and that is how it should be.

The food in this restaurant is delicious and rich. And the price is very reasonable. Suitable for a family. The taste here is very similar to that of Hong Kong, which is reminiscent.

This is a regular lunch destination for authentic, tasty Cantonese cuisine. We had the XO mixed seafood with ho fun, brisket & wonton soup noodles and three roast meat. Everything was tasty as usual with decent portions for the price.

Authentic HK Style hawkers (daai Pai dong/大牌檔) cafe in Manchester where we've been visiting since they opened. Friendly staff. Food is great in big portion but can be very slow. Always busy which is why the food takes a while to come over but it's worth the wait. Make sure you book a table in advance even if it's on a weekday as the place is quite small, and always busy.

We had a bit of a mixed experience at this busy little Hong Kong diner. The waitress made it clear she expected us to have booked beforehand. She wasn't rude but she was quite abrupt and hurried us through our food ordering. The Fujian fried rice was delicious. However the morning glory was too salty and the fried noodles were soggy. The beef brisket soupy udon noodles was a bit bland. It's not amazing value for money considering the area and decor and maybe it would have been better if we had a bit more time to consider our dish choices. Will book ahead in future.

All you need to know is that uncle Roger would be happy with the 'Wok- Hei' here! So good, it was worth the 5 mile drive to eat here! Service is as authentic as you'd wish- hello, take order for drinks, take orders for food, leave you alone until you ask for the bill! I'm definitely a return customer! Mr Ho.

Big fan of the dine in menu but decided to go for a takeaway with the current restrictions. Food is restaurant quality. Made a Friday evening pick up order and was advised to come at a very reasonable 25 mins. Food was ready on arrival. Huge portions and well packaged with separation for crispy noodles and sauce. Well priced and all fresh. Roast meats are up with the best in Manchester. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this place for a meal with friends and family, love it here at Real Taste restaurant, genuine taste of Chinese food, Roasted Chinese BBQ Pork, Dry Fried Thin Noodles, my 2nd time here, it had been 8 months ago since I last visited this Chinese Restaurant, absolutely wonderful lunch, left with no regrets and full tummies, grateful for the lovely dishes we ordered, not only they look photogenic, but also tastes really nice to be truthful.

Replacing what used to be Wong Wong Cafe Bakery, this casual Chinese cafe serves similarly comforting unpretentious Cantonese food at very reasonable prices and huge portions. Their crispy pork belly is also one of the best I’ve ever tried in Manchester. I would recommend this place if you don’t want to venture into Chinatown.

My first visit to this Chinese restaurant. The place was busy. The food came out in good time. The food is average and our steamed Okra (ladyfingers) came out a little cold. My 2 star rating is for the food and another 2 star is for the parking convenience. Unlike Chinatown you will have to fork out extra for parking. You can park by the roadside. This place is open in the morning Unlike other Chinese restaurants. Fancy a Chinese for breakfast than you have found it.

Although the decor is fairly basic, the queues you can find outside the restaurant at peak times speaks volumes about the food served here. Good quality Chinese cuisine, but without the City Centre Chinatown prices. To add to the anticipation of your food, there is a large TV in the corner of the restaurant showing a Chinese channel dedicated to delicious cooking !

Real Taste - Just WoW - excellent, economically priced, generous portions, fresh, tasty, huge range authentic HK Cafe style Style food. An Oasis of excellent food on the Arterial Ashton Old Road Route into Manchester - nondescript exterior stuffed with sumptuous food inside. Packed with locals at the weekend, and often at other times too. This place rivals and indeed often betters its more polished rivals in the City Centre for Quality, Price and Service.

Really nice noodle soups from here. Got the wonton and beef brisket noodle soup, came to £9 and was a pretty big portion/bowl. Food was excellent, brisket was moist with a small coating of fat on it which was soft and tasted lovely, wontons were great quality too. Was better than most places in Chinatown for sure. Good value for money, friendly staff. Highly recommended!

First time trying here.... soooooooooo goooooooooood!!!!! We get take out from here. We ring it through and are usually only waiting around 20 minutes before we go to collect. Delivery is usually only around 30 mins. Staff are friendly. Kitchen is open so you can see what and how the food is cooked. Very clean. Always very busy which is a good sign. Honestly the best chinese food I've had out of China itself. Really fresh, not filled with additives or watered down. Great quality food and service always

Really like the food here. Hard to find good casual Cantonese dishes in the UK. Would definitely recommend.

It's decent with good price, but be specific when ordering delivery on the website. Squid comes in rings, not chunks, which is not my preference, and chow mein defaults to not crispy noodles (you have to specify if you want crispy). Website ordering could do with more options for specification instead of relying on the comments box at the end.

This place is great if you're looking for real Chinese food. The plus is that you can see the chefs cooking in front of you. It's rare to find a place that nice in the area. They're also opened every day (except on Wednesday). It's very nice the prices are good and I would definitely recommend.

Closed on Wednesdays which is rather unusual, and it also closes after 3 for breaks, just like Hong Kong. you have to visit on early weekends if you want to visit both the market action and this restaurant
