Great service and great food. I had the t-bone which was great and the mrs had the sirloin, tried a bit of hers and yes it tasted better than mine 🤣 but both were still fabulous. We also got some of the ribs which were absolutely amazing never had ribs like that before highly recommended if you go. Shout out to Asif a great guy who made us as comfortable as he could for a great dining experience. Keep up the great work 👍🏾

Well impressed with the ambiance, the ribs were off the charts complemented with the perfect bbq sauce, The Angus burger well still wondering why I paid extra for cheese a bit annoying but the brioche was welcomed, the burger size and taste 8/10 which is pretty high loved it, it’s a shame they use frozen steak cut chips, it would have been great to have some freshly cut triple cooked chips…. But no, as for the service…..needs to improve had no check back on my table, even had to ask the the waiter to bring me more water when my glass was near empty and then I’ve got a pay a service charge for this? This should be completely voluntary not mandatory! Bonus they had Encona my favourite sauce.

The manager was accommodating enough for us to have a post mother's day celebration without any reservations.The food especially the meats (the 16 oz T-bone, 10 oz sirloin, ribs and the Aberdeen Angus burger) were all amazingly succulent and cooked the way we liked it also including the grilled halloumi cheese salad. The soup of the day which was creamy mushroom soup was a bit bland, not tasting much of any mushrooms with an overpowering cream. The caramelised onions were a bit burnt as it tasted bitter and not sweet as it was supposed to. They got over zealous staffs very eager in taking our plates away despite of us not finished with our food yet.I found it very awkward with staff standing a meter away from our table, I guess that was the perk of not having an advanced booking as our table was just in front of the pass through kitchen window, we could have stayed longer and try out (for the 1st time) their non alcoholic cocktails... Rump N Ribs Steakhouse is not suitable for people using wheelchair and mums and dads with kids using prams, as wheelchairs and prams are not allowed inside the restaurant as clearly posted on their main entrance.

Absolutely Loved my visit to Rump N Ribs Steakhouse. We visited on a Friday evening and it was very busy. Luckily we were given a table so I would definitely recommend booking next time. FANTASTIC FOOD - Enjoyed the Ribs as starter and steaks were cooked perfectly! Even the sides and the mushroom sauce was full of flavour. Although it had some chewy bits, the ribs were very tender and flavourful. The T-Bone was just right, juicy and tender and the mushroom sauce complemented it well. The prawns were great and the overall service excellent. We were promptly seated and served. Highly recommended.

By far one of the best steakhouse restaurants there is in the UK. The bbq ribs are so tender, flavoursome and I don’t particularly go for bbq sauce dishes but these ribs tasted unreal! The creamy mash and mushroom sauce completed the meal. Recommend you try this place. The man at the door made us all laugh and feel very welcome even after the Liverpool jokes. He managed to get us a table considering they were busy, we didn’t wait long neither. Would definitely come again soon. :)

Delicious halal food, great service, amazing iftaar experience! Asif and team did a fantastic job, it was our first time here and the restaurant was fully booked. They were so pleasant and attentive throughout and the food was timed to perfection. We were even offered samosas, dates, water and spring rolls to break my fast. Such a nice touch. My wife ordered the fillet steak which was cooked (medium rare) to perfection - best we've seen outside of Dubai. I had the ribs which everyone else seemed to order too - now I know why! Absolutely unreal. The wings were delicious and had a different sauce than the ribs, almost cajun style. Drinks were great (I had the tropic punch mock tail). Portion sizes really good. Cannot recommend it enough!!!

The manager was friendly as well! i ordered soup for starter the famous ribs for main. i couldn’t finish the ribs because the portion were so big. they served 4 ribs per portion. i was starving at that time but still couldn’t finish it. i suggest you guys to order it as starter and get something else for main. the ribs were tasty! and i love the passion fruit mojito. this place is totally recommended 👍🏼

Wanted to try a different steakhouse so came here whilst in Deansgate. I assumed everything would come as a pack i.e. steak with a side of veg and mash etc. but had no clue that everything had to be paid for separately which was a change for me. Decided to get a side of vegetables and chips. The ribs were very nice though and came off softly from the bone.

I've been to Rump n Ribs when it used to be on Oxford Street, and the new place is really nice. Nice decor and next to Akbars. The food we had tasted good, but was let down by poor quality. The buffalo wings had lots of feathers left on them. So many black shrivelled hairs that we had to pull off which ruined the experience, even though the taste was good. The ribs were on point, but we asked for a medium cooked steak, and got it well done. The steak tasted good as did the sauce, but it was tougher because it had been overcooked. The mocktail was nice, but quite sweet. No staff asked how the meal was too, which was a shame, but don't think I'll be going back.

Best steak I've ever had, the fillet was extremely juicy and the sirloin was tender. Definitely worth getting the T-bone steak. A little pricy but worth the visit on a special occasion.

Food was god dam amazing and the kitchen was immaculate. really really happy with the service which was on hand but not fussy and in your face every minute. Manager Asif was so hot on everything, spotting every last detail and putting it in it’s place. We just happened upon this place so we were extra thrilled. The flavours on my plate were top tier and I could tell my cut of meat was cooked EXACTLY how I asked. Service here, despite being fully booked, was very welcoming and polite. The staff are on hand to recommend whatever food suits your taste, not just the most expensive item on the menu. In terms of cleanliness, I have no complaints. Rump N Ribs scream 5 star hygiene and they're taking every precaution with regads to Covid 19. Overall, definitely worth a second visit!

Myself and 3 friends arrived at around 8pm with no booking on a Monday (parking is a nightmare but this isn’t really the restaurants fault), the restaurant was probably at around 50% capacity. The manager, who I have a strong feeling might also be the owner of the business, advised us that they are fully booked. I then mentioned we should go to Akbars next door but he was quick to say if we stood around for 10 minutes and another table didn’t show up, he would let us have the table. I had a strong feeling there was no other table and he proceeded to seat us, can see this is a common theme from the other reviews, not so sure why they do this. Safe to say only one table of around 8 or so people came in after us and we didn’t see anyone come in til we left an hour later. Now I understand that the waiter may make recommendations, as they should, but the manager intervened and literally started telling us what to order rather than us deciding for ourselves, quite peculiar in my opinion! I had to intervene and tell him that half of the things he has made the waiter add to the order, we DID NOT WANT. Furthermore, the majority of steakhouses, 95%+, at least include 1 or 2 sides in the price alongside a sauce, sad to say, sided where around £2.50-£3 extra which sets you back another £6 per person. Toro’s Steakhouse, a popular eatery offer a nice cut of meat, 2 sides, 1 sauce, presented as a sizzler for a fraction of the price that you find a steak on its own here. We where told the food would take 30 minutes, so one of us stepped outside to make a call, one went to fetch something from the car and another went to the bathroom. Literally 10 minutes later, the manager said the food was coming out and to call my friends to tell them to return, he then came back literally 2 minutes later and said that they need to return as soon as possible, almost in a threatening demeanour, didn’t you tell us the food will be at least half an hour???? I really felt on edge here, if the food is going to take 10 minutes, why tell us 15? Have you not done this before? As for the food, it was decent grub, exactly as described on the menu and lived up to the hype. It was flavoursome, cooked, seasoned and presented well, hate off to the chefs who prepared it. The Prawns that I opted for where also fresh, cooked perfectly and presented well. Its very concerning when an establishment actually has good food but the management is quite poor. From what I could gather, the staff wouldn’t engage in any conversation due to the fear that even I could sense coming from the manager, in fear they would say the wrong thing. We also tried the Passion Fruit Mojito and Pina Colada which where nothing special. Overall, the food was definitely on the better side of the spectrum but the environment was borderline gloomy.

First, those leaving one star based exclusively on the purported rudeness of the manager are artificially intelligent zombies whose closest human interaction is probably automated. They listen to a lift all day which tells them: “doors closing,” “doors opening.” Hence why they no longer understand that some members of the human species can be eccentric. The manager might not be my cup of tea either, but he is far better than most robots I come across. Second, how people can misinterpret the manager’s, albeit strong recommendations to amount to coercion just goes to show they lack testicular fortitude to stand their ground. Third, although I am not fan of bbq stuff in restaurants; but the ribs here were tender and off the bone. The T-Bone I had was chewy yet tasty. Portion sizes were reasonable to big. The complimentary cokes (not the drug) was a nice gesture. Fourth, the meal was fulfilling. The only thing that was a bit of a letdown was the Mojitos. They tasted like Asda Smart Price juice. I would definitely recommend this place. But don’t complain if you can’t be asked to turn up on time for your booking. If your wives are too busy applying more foundation than was present for the twin towers, then don’t expect courtesy to be reciprocated. People generally have booking times for a reason. If you’re a desi and think you can rock up at Indian Summer Time, you need to consider whose the one lacking etiquette. Lastly, allow enough time for parking. Manchester’s infrastructure is whack in that respect. You park in Pindi and walk to the restaurant.

The quality here is impressive. The best ribs I've tasted. The service is good and the prices aren't too high. I have had ribs in three continents and these are the best so far. If I could give more stars I would do it. Beware of the portions as they are big. If you don't have a big appetite, my advice is to go with the starters.

Just the steak was £19 which is fine but no sides included which was annoying but you even get charged £1.50 for the sauce! To top it all off was the 10% service charge! Finally, a halal steakhouse that cooks steak to perfection and sources it's meat the right way! Perfectly cooked to our asking/liking. The service was swift (we went early, around 5pm) and the food was nothing less than 10/10. I would definitely return. It is pricey, but for good reason. More than happy to pay for this kind of standards/deliciousness (menu available on their website with clear pricing). There is limited on street parking available, beware of city centre prices though.

Great Restaurant with great food and service! Had my first meal in Manchester here with my friends and we all truly enjoyed the meal. A must try is their famous buffalo ribs. The meat was tender and the sauce tasted great without overpowering the meat. The portion of the ribs was pretty generous for 1-2 pax. However if you would like to just have a taste of it, they have buffalo ribs for starters (1-3 pieces) Steak was done perfectly too however the plating wasn’t impressive as we had to order the sides separately. Recommended to Muslim Travellers as this Restaurant is Certified Halal.

Amazingly delicious steak cooked to perfection. The pairing with creamy mushroom sauce was amazing. Cozy environment with comfortable seating. Perfect for an intimate date or large hangouts. Attended with family early evening so seated straight way. The kids menu is very poor compared to the likes of Bella Italia or Pizza Express doesn’t include any starters or drinks for example the chicken nuggets were no different then picking it up from a local takeaway. We had rips and grilled lamp chops which was nice but extra for sides and portions small. Service was nothing spectacular with added service charge. I don’t understand why restaurants add service charge. I thought it was part of their job to serve the customers.

One of the best halal places in Manchester if you are craving meat! Their buffalo wings are a must try! The service is very professional and friendly. They don't have a dessert menu but they do have dessert! Just ask the waiter/waitress when you finish you meal. When I went they had chocolate lava cake with ice cream and a mango cheesecake. The cheesecake was soo nice guys! 5 star place and location. They have recently moved from their old location in St Peters Square near the central library. They location is now near the museum of science and industry next to Akbar's (Next to Sapporo Teppanyaki) I wish they made the place bigger since it is so popular but that's neither here or there. Me and my boyfriend visited on a busy Friday night around 10.15 and they managed to find us a table. It's best to book a table if you have a larger group. I trust that it's truly halal as they don't even serve alcohol. They so have a great mocktail selection tho

The restaurant set up and food presentation were acceptable but what matters most is the food quality which isn't. The burger was a lil bit dry and had lots of herbs and spices which made it taste like kebab sandwich. I ordered a medium-well ribeye and was disappointed to received it well done! The streak was spot on my piece was a Fillet 9oz medium rare, if you don’t have your steak at a medium rare you’re not eating it at it’s maximum potential. We got the combo platter for 2 the ribs were finger licking good the sauce on the ribs was so nice, the prawns were nice with the marinate they had on them, I wasn’t feeling a wing didn’t try them but the bread with goat cheese wasn’t for me the cheese was a strong sour milk kind of flavour the texture was like wet not really a big fan of that tbh. The steak cut chips as a side were too oily the potato content was there and the size but they were too oily for my liking. Service was good as expected food came out pretty fast, just make a reservation to make sure they have availability because they do be booked.

I enjoy my steak medium rare, I did quiz them if they can pull off black and blue expecting them to look at me puzzled but they were totally confident they could do it. Already being somewhat skeptical I settled for medium rare and it was spot on! Seasoning on the steak itself was lacking for my liking but I'd much rather a well cooked steak than a well seasoned one. Plus the sauces are pretty good (I know it's injustice to the meat though...) Not usually an avid fan of ribs but they were superb, fell off the bone and into my mouth in seconds! Fairly priced for a steakhouse too. You're looking at £35pp if you go for a shared starter, one of the more expensive steaks and a drink. Staff were abit awkward, felt a little rushed at times but is what it is. Wouldn't stop me going again by any means.

The team at Rump n Ribs are professional, friendly and offer a great level of service. We enjoy our meal every time we go over (we've been several times and go at least every month or two). The only place that we can say competes with Rump n Ribs is Meat & Co in Westfield, London. However, the prices are higher than Rump n Ribs and from Leeds it is too far; other than that, nothing comes close. If you're into your steaks and know how you like it cooked properly, Rump n Ribs is definitely the best place to go.

Food was good, but overpriced for what you get. Everything is an extra, the mains are just the selected meat without any side dishes or sauces. This is clear on the menu but can easily add £5 to each main dish. Service was rushed no time between starters and main, plates cleared almost immediately. Bill brought straight after without being requested which included a 10% gratuity, we were not asked if we would like anything else. The rushed service really ruined the experience for us as we hadn't seen each other in a year, and would have liked more time to catch up. If you want to be herded in and out quickly this is the restaurant for you, otherwise I'd give it a miss.

Asif the boss-man, is way more than a man of his word - He suggested the ribs as starters would be the best ribs I ever tasted and boy was he right, the tastiest hugest ribs I’ve ever had. Then for the main I couldn’t decide whether to go for a medium steak or medium rare- And his expertise in this speciality suggested that if I wanted a medium rare steak that I should go for the fillet whereas if I wanted just medium to go for the sirloin. What a fabulous meal all in. He is a fabulous character and is a master of his craft, ensuring all his customers feel very special. The craziest and most incredible part of the evening was that I asked his advice on where we could go afterwards for a few jars. He suggested that we’d be best off just going to the pub next door and bearing in mind it was typical Manny weather pouring it down / this was another welcome suggestion. So we paid the bill and Asif took us over the road the this pub and actually paid for a round of drinks for us. Absolutely incredible customer service from Asif and all his staff. We will definitely be back here again on my next visit to the amazing city of Manchester. Best steaks ever. Thank you so much for a brilliant evening.

Was really enjoying my time at Rump N Ribs. The food was nice and the service was...let's just say they were fast. Just barely finishing the last bite and putting my knife and fork down, the waiter asked us had we finished, when we said yes, he quickly took our plates and then asked us if we wanted anything else, when we said no, he went away and promptly returned back with our bill which we never asked for, as we still had our drinks to finish. They kept checking up on us to see if we were ready to leave. I can understand that if we were sat there for over 2 hours they would want us to leave, but we were only in there for 50min! Being attentive is one thing but rushing customers is not how you do things especially if you don't want to alienate new customers. They didn't give us time to enjoy the food and the atmosphere.

Food came within 15-20mins, which is pretty much standard. Cooked to absolute perfection. Medium well. Very little pink, and soft meat on both sides of the bone. Service, quality and ambience of restaurant, impeccable. Told the manager to open up in Leicester as the steak was brilliant. It put the T on the Bone!

Visited at lunch yesterday and had a fairly nice experience. My husband ordered a meat steak and I went for the sea bass dish. The steak was cooked well (medium rare as requested) and it came with pepper sauce and fried onions. The sea bass was over fried and tasted quite oily and crunchy around the sides, expected it to be more flakey with less of the grease. Quite shocked by the price for a side of chunky chips (£2.50!)for such a little amount. There was a huge amount of mash too which was not finished. We also ordered a starter of chicken wings, felt a bit robbed (3 pieces for 7.50!) They tasted nice. All in all a decent experience. The service wasn't outstanding, but we didn't leave feeling neglected either. Probably wouldn't go here again, don't think they've got the flavours quite right just yet. The sauces didn't really anything to the dish tbh. Value for money? probably not.

We went there yesterday with our 3 young children. Felt that the manager was a bit too in your face, he was literally forcing us to order the ribs at the start. Then for mains we ordered a T bone steak and RnR burger, to which he said no don't order the burger as it is too big to finish. I'm all for a bit of friendly sales tactics etc, but he was almost dictating what to order and got in a mood when i cancelled the ribs. Food itself was average, steak didn't have much taste and the burger was ok, best bit about it was the BBQ shredded chicken in it. Feel it was overpriced and to add a cheeky 10% service charge on the bill was quite deceptive. We decided not to pay the service charge as we didn't appreciate the service given.

Fantastic place. I ordered the buffalo ribs which went down an abode lite treat. The ribs were cooked perfectly, tender and moist. The buffalo sauce complemented the wings perfectly. For mains I got the T-bone steak, medium rare with peppercorn sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce had just the right amount of heat in it. The mocktail was delicious. A nice cool non-alcoholic fruit punch. The staff were very friendly and helped us with our decisions. Phenomenal... The only thing really to have is their classic ribs. You know it's perfect when the meat just slips off the bone. Service was excellent, the manager made great rapport with our group. Caveat, I was there on a Tuesday night and they may not have had the A-team on staff. Service was poor with staff being pushy and a bit forgetful. There were pretty significant delays between some of the orders being brought to the table and getting the bill was a small challenge. The steak was good, although there are many steakhouses in Manchester that cost the same and are better (see CAU). The small selection of Mock-tails looked good although i didn't have one.

Made a trip to Rump'n'Ribs with my sisters who are very fussy eaters. We ordered the Prime Chicken Breast and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and probably the most fresh cooked food I have ate. Miss the old place. The food was okay. One of my ribs was very stale. As If it was put on my plate from an old batch. I really wanted to send it back but since I was with my mrs she didn't let me as she 'didn't want to cause a fuss' she's always that way inclined. I'm gutted as my previous reviews have always been glowing regarding this place. The thing that topped it off was the service charge. I don't mind paying IF I have great service. But if I have to get the waitress to clean the bottom of the table AFTER we are seated to prevent chilli sauce sticking to my shoes and clothes I certainly don't validate that as great service. No one came round to ask how the food was granted we were placed in the corner and all you could feel was a cold draft, but it's still courtesy to make sure your diners are okay. When I enquired whether the service charge was voluntary or not the girl pretended not to understand the question. She said I'll get my manager. Being of Mongolian descent had nothing to do with the language barrier as we communicated just fine prior to this question. Of course I didn't want the manager over especially as I promised my wife I wouldn't complain. Being a good husband I bit my tongue, paid the service charge (although Martin Lewis states I don't have to if I feel it was below par) and went to Black Panther that night. It's a shame because the manager is a great guy and so is the food. But I'm a great believer in feedback and hopefully things can improve after this visit.

Having read a lot of positive reviews of rump n ribs we thought we'd give it a try, and ultimately we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is very traditionally decorated, and is definitely winter place - roaring fires, muted lighting and a sense that you're eating a steak in a nice environment. The steak is excellent, beautifully cooked and very good portions. I got the 18 oz cote de boeuf medium rare and it was so succulent and the beef was so tasty and the sauce peppercorn my goodness it complimented it well! The fries and the mash potato were great, and my friend who got the ribs tasted amazing, might I add how I love that the meat just rips of the bone and melts in my mouth. They provided us with a complimentary desert, which was a nice surprise and the service was excellent waiters making sure to provide serviettes as it does get messy eating the sauce drenched wings and ribs. In terms of cost, a meal for four here is not cheap (so be prepared), but it is worth it for the quality meat and also the atmosphere.

Once we got in we were greeted by the manager asif, absolutely lovely guy, outstanding customer service, really looked after us. He recommended the bbq ribs there were absolutely delicious, not too sweet that it was sickening and really tender. The t bone and sirloin was perfectly cooked to the way we ordered and beautifully presented. All in all one of the best all round steak houses I've ever been too. Asif customer service made our nights. I would highly reccomened. 10/10

Fantastic tasty food. I was recommended the ribs by the manager and im glad I took his recommendation on board and ordered the ribs. The ribs are something that is totally different form what i have had before. The taste is amazing and very much different and i would say thats 100% how the ribs should tate like. The staff are very helpful and quick service. The price is a bit high but fir the taste and quality of the food is well worth it. Very nice setup and decor of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend to others if they want to try a different taste of a steak or ribs.

Excellent Service and Ambiance. The Cote De Boeuf steak looked good but had no flavour. The balsamic drizzle on top does nothing for me. They should take some ideas from the experts at Kassap in Liverpool and add some high quality steak rub to give the meat some flavour that’ll surely have customers returning often. The Ribs starter was amazing and on point. I should’ve ordered the Ribs Entrée had I know better.
