Decent enough buffet - restaurant was not busy, but the staff were engaging and also bought over fresh grilled food directly to the table (platter of chicken tikka and lamb chops). We also had some fussy eaters in our party and they asked for fresh naan and kebabs and they chefs catered for them well. 1 star lost as felt kid options were limited for the price (really only chips and pasta). Generally found it to be clean, reasonable options available and food fresh.

Came all the way from liverpool and it was worth the journey. Customer service is phenomenal and the food is even better, credit goes to the chefs. I definitely recommend you try this place out. The manager, Fayyaz, treated us very well and made us feel welcome. One of the best buffets. Will come again.

Not been here for 2 years. The price of the buffet use to be on the window outside . Not any longer (£12 as I remember last time). So a bit of a shock when I went to pay. Now £18 per head. Poor choices for vegetarians. The couple of meat curries that I tried were very good though. Overall over priced.

They can be a wait at times especially at the beginning of service and as the places not huge, the range of dishes can be quite limited. That said it is probably easier with regard to having a group of people rather than feeling rushed out in some of the larger establishment. The only limiting factors tend to be the limited parking in the small car park behind the unit however you can normally get parking in streets around the placement but this is probably for those who know the area. The t is nice and seems to have a good range of desserts.

They have increased their price but the options are same, so the price increase doesn't justify itself. The staff is friendly, seating could have been more comfortable, the premises itself is clean. Sanam is a Traditional Asian (Pakistani) Restaurant serves Pakistani Breakfast called Halwa, Puri and channa Nashta, they also do buffet start at around 1pm on weekends with variety of Traditional Asian food, price range £9.95 Adult and £5.95 child (under the age of 10). Parking at rear of the restaurant which allows peace of mind 2 hours free parking. Wheel chair access at front and wheel chair lift access at rear entrance just opposite to the parking area. No reservation required unless going on a busy time period like weekend evenings.

This is the buffet restaurant at Stockport Road... although those who want order off the menu can do so. This is located on the ever busy stockport road south Manchester. .. so this place can get busy on weekends. We usually go to Nawaab's for a buffet if you fancy something slight different then it's ideal. Sanams is a one of the 1st curry brands in the north west and branches out from the famous Sanams on wilmslow road (curry mile) so you can can expect good quality food. The venue: The place is rather compact, but once you get your table and the food it isn't too bad. The choice on offer is not extensive but you do get a good choice of popular main dishes. No lamb chops though. The starters were good, enjoyed the kebab and chicken tikka. There is a good selection of none spicey food like pasta and cheese tomatoe pizza. I do have to admit you dont get a massive choice for the main... but they are lovely. The desserts again could to do with being better, especially as they have a separate sweets section selling mitai's etc. Could had done with some jalebi or russmalai on offer. The kids would like the ice cream, there were very small pieces of gulab jamun but one area where desserts were kept seem to entice no one... and looked out of place. Overall it is an average to good resturant, typical of buffet Pakistani Indian restaurant. The drinks choice could also do with more choice maybe some mocktails. More choices to the main buffet and I would have rated this place 5 star.

I would like to say thank you you to the team at Sanam Stockport road Manchester. We recently had a wedding event and I would like to say everything was really great. The decor around the hall, stage and especially the food. Everything was excellent and I couldn’t have asked for more as the hospitality and the yes mentality to everything at last minute request were honoured. Mr Hassan thanks for being a great representative for the company and being really generous and nice when at start we initially were sorting the different arrangements. Lastly I would like to say a big thank you to the main man Mr Shafiq who made all this possible. I appreciate all your efforts and yours teams for putting in the extra effort being a great host. I would highly recommend this place for wedding events as everything gets honoured.

All the food was great(Alhamdulillah), except for the deserts, the deserts' tastes could be improved, most were cold and had VERY little sugar BUT this shouldn't stop you from going there as the rest of the food was perfect. Also the staff delivered food to our tables VERY quickly. However, there was music playing in the backround(Which is haram), so if you are a strict Muslim family, I wouldn't recommend this place, other then that, once again, it was "First classed"

Generally buffet options are well stocked. However some items can get cold easily, such as pizzas and fish pakoras. Nearly all the chicken starters are very below average. They taste very plain and dry. It is terriable when they are just below warm temperature. Chicken biryani, chicken anchari and lamb curry dish are the most stand out dishes out of the selection. Did not try all deserts however felt the cakes were very dry sponge. Ice creams are just normal mass produced standard quality that you get anywhere else for this price point. Staff are generally efficient and attentive, however nothing beyond exceptional. All in all the price vs quality is fairly well matched. If your looking for an place that has standout quality food then this isn't the place for you. Average price , average food.

Shouldn't complain about the quality, you get what you pay for. Found it slightly greasy and fatty compared to another buffet place i frequent, but that place is more expensive too, salads were also not as fresh, but everything tasted authentic with the right spices for everyone's palate. Seating is nice enough and it does get busy. You have a la carte or buffet style as well.

Sanam was established in 1962, i have visited this place countless times. Best sweet and bakery products, very clean restaurant and have lots of choices to eat. Staff is well trained and very helpful. They do serve lahori nastha and they make fresh jalabis as well 😉. Good place for family gatherings. Out off all this what really impressed me, is the prayer room on upper level with prayer mats. They really deserve business. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Attended a pre-booked function at first floor, arrangement was good i.e stage set with sound equipment. Food provided was of good quality as well in relation to the amount charged. Administration was attentive. Parking was a bit tricky. Restaurant has parking at the back for 3 cars only. But there is Aldi at the back where you can park for 2 hours.

I went today with my child to sanam longsight. We had the 5pm buffet. First time ever here, i have to say all dishes were superb. Staff very friendly, fast working, proffesional & of course very respectfull. Cant wait to go again INSHALLAH. I'm quite surprised at some reviews. Sanam - to me & my family - is quite the epitome of a proper Indian / Pakistani eatery for a number of reasons. Firstly, it has been there for a good few decades. Secondly, it's food is actually quite superb cuisine - though unlike western food it can at times run foul of the vagaries of 'locum' chefs whose culinary skills are not commensurate with the exacting standards of their main chefs. Thirdly, they are one of the few restaurants that not only prepare & serve great cuisine but do the same with that most demanding of things - proper methai! This last of course really is a cultural institution & not necessarily amenable to the naive palate. Fourthly, their service is generally good. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because in my view it is incumbent on the Management to ensure absolute consistency & in this only are they lacking.

Had the buffet here which is ok for the price but not amazing. The choices are quite limited. It's not overly busy whenever we went so the food quantity is on the low side to avoid wasting it. The naan bread are made fresh but also this means you have to wait for them to be made and serves to your table. Desserts are also quite cheap. The cheapest multi buy icecream which needs to be combined with a gulab jaman for it to be worth putting on your plate.
