Great atmosphere. Trendy, relaxing and lay back atmosphere. There is a good selection of beers however there's no Guinness available. Lucky enough to be served by Zosia and Vicky. KUDOS to both

Absolutely fabulous service! I was served by Zosia who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Aware that I was at the venue ahead of an interview, Zosia went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. The latte was perfect, and the pastries to die for, and of course the service was second to none! Zosia is a natural with people and an asset to the team at Store Street Exchange MCR. Thank you!

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning of our stay. The staff are simply delightful, especially Grace and Lilly. Assortment of eggs, meats, breads, vegetables, yogurt, fruits and beverages (hot and cold). Very clean and food was delicious. All staff were helpful and friendly

Lovely restaurant and hats off to the staff who were fantastic when we came here for a birthday lunch. The menu for lunch however was a real let down. Its obvious that they don't really cater for the lunch crowds as we were the only ones here when we came during the week. When the restaurant is called Meat Exchange, I was expecting more than the option of a deli sandwich. Not to say the sandwich wasn't good, as it was. I was just expecting more options. I think they should either extend the lunch menu or just not open for lunch... dinner menu looked amazing... maybe just skip the lunch and wait for dinner. Other than that, no complaints from me

• Roasted corn-fed Goosnargh rotisserie half-chicken w/ grilled lemon wedge, concentrated chicken jus and a side of salad • Sweetcorn soup w/ rotisserie chicken, bacon bits, chives and toasted bread I was really looking forward to looking at how they prove their food provenance and traceability regarding the famed Goosnargh poultry from J&S, but the restaurant was unable to provide physical evidence, texture of the breast was dry and tough which was why I asked for evidence.

Being a tourist from the South I love seeing northern inspired dishes on the menu. Fancy a delicately prepared Bury black pudding sausage roll? All meat is high quality, locally sourced and prepared well (maybe a little on the overly-cooked side for some). The stand out ingredient was the melt in the mouth pork.

Strange place really. It's under a hotel and you really know that it's under a hotel, like they could've totally broken away from that. You have to walk past reception to get to the toilets. You can tell that most people in the restaurant are hotel guests. We ordered some pork scratching type things as nibbles. These came before our drinks. They were £5 and were basically like pork flavoured quavers. Puffs of air. Didn't get many. Starters we shared chicken wings. These were a nice decent portion and crispy, although the sauce was drizzled on top as opposed to them being tossed. Calamari. Chewy. It's very difficult to get calimari right to be honest but if in doubt leave them in the fryer for longer. Black pudding and apple sausage roll. The plate was enormous with two small pieces of sausage roll on. It was just black pudding in pastry with apple sauce. Mains we both had pork belly. I enjoyed this my partner didn't. There wasn't enough sauce. But let's face it, where can you go and get enough sauce!! Will chefs ever learn we like sauce!!! He thought was chewy and there was no crispy top which was true. I'm not so fussy. Dessert was the saving grace. A melt in the middle chocolate pudding with salted caramel ice cream. I was tempted to order another. Will I be going back? No.

Nice food and a nice sunny dining room. A bit lacking in atmosphere, as it's a big space and the acoustics are a bit echoey. The salads are really good, and it has a great selection of craft beer. The staff are lovely, and it's a nice place to sit and work in a great location for the train.

Cocktails were amazingly fresh and plenty of superb quality meal choices at not to steep a price given the location and ambiance. The staff worked tirelessly and gave good service. Speaking of service, an extra 10% is automatically added to your bill! Nevertheless we shall return to sample more of the menu.

We have really nice food there. We order the pie, grill broccoli, fishn Chip & lamp which all the dishes are tasty. Further is the dessert, ice cream with pineapple which the grill pineapple is really with the ice.

Bar snacks served here can be hit and miss. There's not a lot of bang for your buck and the quality can vary. Drink choice is basic. Bar is kept clean and tidy.

Top class service. Brilliant food. Do try their steaks. They are exquisitely made. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with the menu. They continuously asked whether we are enjoying the meal which made us feel well looked after. I would highly recommend this place. There's also very nice music running in the background And DONT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THEIR PUDDING!!!

Being a vacationer from the South I love seeing northern motivated dishes on the menu. Extravagant a gently pre-arranged Bury dark pudding hotdog roll? All meat is excellent, privately sourced and arranged well (perhaps somewhat on the excessively cooked side for a few). The stand apart fixing was the soften in the mouth pork.

Myself and my partner went for a Valentine’s Day meal, and found the set menu to have an excellent variety and very appealing. The food was well presented and cooked and offered the option to try new things. Staff were very friendly and attentive but not overbearing and left you to enjoy your meal. Overall we could not fault the service or food quality hence the 5 star review. Special mention for Kate who looked after us excellently for the evening .

Visited here for the first time after an afternoon at the theater. It was very quiet when we arrived which was good because all the other places we had tried had a long waiting list. It did get a little busier whilst we were there. I got a beefburger with hand cut chips and my friend got the blade of beef. The burger and chips was really tasty but the portion was quite small considering it was £16. Definately needed a bigger portion of chips as it didn't fill me up. My friend enjoyed the blade of beef, but again wasn't overwhelmed considering the high price. The staff were very friendly and asked us a few times if everything was ok. Good to try but don't think we will go back.

Breakfast is mediocre. Lunch and dinner are fantastic. Recommend the fish and chips, meat pies, the soups, the fish pie, chicken salad sandwich. Great beer selection both local and standard. Service is absolutely excellent. Expect to wait for food up to 40 minutes. Excellent food is worth waiting for.

We went on a Thursday so was really quiet as eat out to help out not on, and the place lacked the atmosphere. I had a steak which was OK - not great - had a tinge of a funny smell, which I thought was bbq smell at the time, but later that evening I felt really ill from it.

Received the wrong pie with my order, staff were very understanding and offering me a free drink which was nice. When the chicken and ham pie came it tasted really good but the filling chicken was shredded and not whole pieses, the crust was not crisp sadly. This may have been microwaved :/

Always a good meal in here and the staff are great. We even won a competition a few years ago to have the head chef come to our house to cook a meal where he made us some wonderful traditional Caribbean food which was such a treat! Nice open plan and spacious resturant with a good atmosphere.

Boasting a 'great range of beers' is perhaps pushing it a bit. Standard J. W. Lees situation that can be found anywhere. Elegant decor, with some comfortable seats. But impossible to face any direction without seeing a huge TV screen

The menu had a good selection, presentation probably needed working on (there was a few of us over 12) the food was actually pretty good.... Service was good, ATD, staff on the ball... Convenient and not a bad venue to meet being close to Manchester Piccadilly station. A bit pricey but it's spacious, comfortable with several different areas offering a bit of privacy. It's becoming a regular meeting point.
