Reviews of The Goods In

Huge space four a place which offers brunch, and later in the afternoon massive sandwiches, flatbreads and other savouries. Bar offering all sorts of drinks and becomes a club in the evening with DJ. Really good addition to the Prestwich scene.
Lost a star as you ran out of chicken for the JFC.

Really delicious lunch! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I would definitely come again and enjoy the same meal.
Portion size is a bit on the smaller end for the price, but everything else was great.

I love the building and generally good vibe , great food and experience has overall been good. But slightly blighted by most recent experience with friends where we felt staff were a bit off hand and rude . It was a busy night so perhaps understandable, but we did also feel adding a service charge to drinks that are already quite expensive may put us off in future.

All Hallow's Eve, Storm Aiden, an early trip out (skipping breakfast), other choices full or not yet open so curiosity led us brunchwards to Heaton Park to try the latest from the team at All The Shapes.
Of the three doors, we found the right one on the third attempt after having to leave the car at Park Street car park and getting doused with Manchester liquid sunshine.
* Scan for Test and Trace. ✔️
* Masks for staff and punters. ✔️
* Sanitiser at the door. ✔️
* Tables well spaced. ✔️
The brunch menu caters for cocktails, coffees, carbs, carnivores and cakes.
The decor and seating is upcycled industrial warehouse, whilst comfortable struggles to heat the space on a cold, wet October.
The clientele is a good mix of young families, couples and seniors. All enjoying being part of the "up and coming Prestwich village" food scene.
Avos, chorizo, compotes, 'shrooms, veggie burgers and a full(ish) English don't quite hit the spot so we go to the foot of the menu and order bacon and sour dough from the sides and I opt for a poached egg on top.
We got what we ordered, so can't complain. I had three shards of crispy streaky and my daughter had four. Rude.
Yes, I'll be back but even without lockdown, I'll probably leave it until next year when the weather's warmer.

Great vegan breakfast and a must try with friendly staff and great lay out

I had a great meal here. The food was great but the thing that made the place stand out was the service. Jake served us all night and I can't speak highly enough of him.

Cute place! Made me an excellent off-menu vegan non-alcoholic French martini. Can't wait to go back!

Visited The Goods In earlier with friends & there's good & bad things about it. Firstly it's nice inside & has outside seating too. However the menu is quite misleading, as it only serves breakfast dishes up till 1pm. Flatbreads, sandwiches etc only available from 1 or 2pm. A bit strange really. Long waiting time for food, but it was quite tasty. I think it needs a rethink re : the way it operates. My friend hardly touched her food. Probably would only return for drinks.

The Goods In is a very welcome addition to the Prestwich bar and food scene - not least because of the location on the Heaton Park side of Prestwich. The menu is small, but good quality and very tasty. Their take on an english breakfast is especially good. Whether for brunch, an afternoon drink, dinner or evening drinks, it's a spacious and well thought-out concept that definitely deserves a visit. I'd recommend getting there earlier than planned as there was a fair wait for a table on the last Saturday night I visited. The Lervig House Party is a firm favourite and a very 'sessionable' IPA.

I've been here a few times recently. Great veggie options & if there's a dirty brownie in the counter...go for it!! 😋

Great space, good food and drink. Good if you've got kids. Booths are a good length for them to sleep. Good place for dogs too. Like, with their owners. Not just random street dogs, although they'd probably be welcome too.
C. C.
A great fusion bar with an excellent range of beers and good food too. A good place just to drop in and chill on a weekend afternoon. Would recommend.
A. V.
Excellent food. Spacious unrushed environment. Dog friendly too!

Went for brunch, great place. Food and coffee were great and the owners welcoming and service great. Child friendly. Will definitely be returning
D. E.
Great choice of non-alcoholic drinks, which I a total bonus for a designated driver. Great DJ on a Saturday night. Cool place

The vegan breakfast here is tremendous - the mushroom I had today was the best mushroom I’ve ever eaten, there’s this herby bean combo that comes on it that’s blown my mind and this sort of crispy, salty, fried potato nest that deserves its own separate review!! Big time flavours!! Also the Bloody Mary was fireeee 🔥🔥🔥

Went in for the first time today and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. We brought our German Shepherd and they were so good with her. Food was epic. Can't wait to go back

Fairly new bar in an old piano warehouse. Eclectic design with lovely food and drink. Staff super friendly. Even on a wet day it was vibrant.

Great new bar and food spot! I visited on a Sunday and we were greeted at the door and immediately found the place charming. We had our own bartender for the duration of being there, she made us feel welcome, was very friendly, helpful and engaging! They have an amazing selection of beers and cater for vegans, which is a win win in my book! Looking forward to going back asap.

Food really tasty & a good change from 'usual fare' Premises spacious and light, servers always happy to take your order & just enough choice for a light beer too.
Would definitely recommend (& do) if you're looking for a change.

Good food options, great atmosphere, fabulous drunk menu

Great food and fully recommend the Raspberry Wit beer. Lovely spacious venue inside and nice little open air space to the rear
D. E.
Great food, new menu recently so we got to try more tasty sandwiches. Pies are awesome too. Staff extremely friendly. This place has a very chilled vibe. Cannot wait till we go back soon.

Only open a month and I think it is the best bar in Prestwich, bringing new life and sparkle to a locality often ignored. The food is good, the beer is great and the service is excellent.

A wonderful hidden Gem just across the road from heaton Park met station. Sometimes you may have to wait outside for a little while before being able to get a table inside but believe me when I say its well worth the wait. The quirky decor reflects its former life as a warehouse. Beautiful, well prepared and presented food. Craft beers and amazing cocktails. Add to that the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff members and its a great night out. My fiance and I were there last night for our second visit and loved it even more. You will too.

An old MOT garage I believe and you could almost miss it going past but it is quirky and well decorated inside . Great cocktails and pale ales at decent prices. Prestwich has a new place to be .
C. F.
Good atmosphere. Service can be slow at first, but it's worth the wait. Like a socially distanced All The Shapes with a similar, relaxed, vibe. Draught beer is good although expect to pay Manchester centre prices. The snacks are tasty. Definitely recommended bar.
C. A.
Fab place! I enjoyed a coffee whilst I waited for my katsu chicken burger which I absolutely devoured in the car. I can't wait to try my doughnuts this afternoon. Great service and selection of food and drinks. I will definitely be back.
C. D.
Very attentive staff, good selection of drinks and food
S. R.
Amazing place, the friendliest staff, perfect beer, delicious food and just the nicest vibe. It's a pearl hidden in an unassuming old warehouse right next to Heaton Park. Strongly recommended.

This place is great. Just had coffee and cake but food looks good too.
Outside seating area

Good food & coffee, spacious venue. Great use of what i can only assume was a disused garage space.
K. T.
Lovely little café/bar opposite the park and hidden away from the road. Lovely, changing selection of food and drinks.
L. H.
Great new cafe bar in Prestwich. Good location right next to Heaton Park and the metro stop. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing beer selection. Definitely popping back again.
K. S.
Great new place in Prestwich. There's plenty of space inside and the food was really good. Perfect location right next to the park and dog friendly too. Can't wait to visit again!
S. B.
Love the place. Amazing food and drinks. Laid back, homely atmosphere. Friendly and lovely staff. Please be patient with the service as the staff are rushed off their feet.

I have visited the Goods Inn several times and once again I enjoyed my visit this morning. Change of menu which is menu is fab. Staff friendly and professional.
P. M.
Overall was slightly disappointed with our trip here, lots of potential but felt it was overpriced (particularly the beer) and the food was very bland (philly cheesesteak sandwich) and lacking flavour. Venue itself was nice though.
E. L.
Called in for drinks on our way to dinner, good drinks menu, superb service, definitely call again.
P. M.
Lovely, only had drinks and cake. My dogs were made welcome! Can't wait to try the food

Best English Brekky outside Manchester city centre hands down. Lovely staff. Spacious venue with great beers and snacks. They have a nice outdoor seating area.
Some more meaty food choices would be great.
