With it’s laid back, casual set up, it’s one of the cool places to go to where good food is guaranteed wherever you’re in the UK, in any given day of the week. The northern quarter branch didn’t disappoint. I always love their fried salmon dish and both of their goat curries. The portions are generous and the aromas are mouthwatering. The lady taking our orders even went out of her way to make us mint tea despite ordering hot drinks after dinner. We didn’t book ahead but was lucky enough to find a table straight away. Overall, a good experience and defines would visit again

Been here several times and loved it every time. We went for new years Eve and got the three courses and unlimited cocktails which was amazing. It only cost about £50 which you really can't beat at New year's. I've seen they also do a similar bottomless brunch deal which costs something like £30. The food was great, but the bottomless cocktails were even better. When we arrived, we got a cocktail brought straight to the table. Then, even though it was only table service, the waitress made sure she was taking our orders before we'd even finished our drinks. Really enjoy the music and atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and helpful, especially if you ask questions about the food etc. Would strongly recommend Turtle Bay.

Amazing food and cocktails. 100% recommend!!❤ I ordered the Mo Bay chicken but asked for the sauce to be a little spicier. The chef was very accommodating and the staff couldn't do enough for you. We were on bottomless brunch and in total had 6-7 drinks each (the service was fast)@ 1.30PM. Even though it was quiet, the vibes in the restaurant were still very good with an authentic feel. It is just perfect if you'd like somewhere to have a catch up with friends. I will be returning here very soon with my partner. Thank you for a great experience 😁

Been at Turtle Bay Northern quarter this Friday and had a blast. The drinks where amazing (especially the reggae rum punch and the passion martinis). My server was Rafa. Always very polite friendly and happy. For food I had the prawns as a starter and the Brown chicken as main dish. Absolutely divine! Congrats to the chefs. Great atmosphere, great selection of music. I’ll be back very soon for sure. Recommend 100%

came to Turtle Bay for bottomless brunch and had a great time. The honey bunny yard bird was AMAZING. the fried chicken paired with the sweet pancakes was delicious and the cream cheese on top was great. We ordered a bunch of different cocktails and they were yummy. I will say however that they seemed to be very weak and when I have visited before and not ordered bottomless brunch the drinks were quite strong. Also you don't really get to order more than 4 or 5 drinks because your server doesn't come by too often and you're only allowed 2 hours. I'm not sure if its worth the price for bottomless brunch considering their happy hour 2 for 1 offered, but its definitely worth coming for the food.

Good experience all round at this Turtle Bay location. Me and 3 other friends went for the famous bottomless brunch which lived up to all the hype. This is my second time at a Turtle Bay and this time I was able to get 7 cocktails on the deal, beating my previous record of 6 drinks. Food was good and I went for the smashed avocados on toast and opted for the extra bacon, definetly a good brunch meal and I was very satisfied. Service all round was exceptional and it was incredibly easy to order our drinks, there was very little time between drinks honestly so this is a testament to the speedy service! All round great experience, would reccomend!

When I first went to Turtle Bay I was blown away by the experience. Ive been a few times since and my tastes have definitely changed. Now the 2for1 cocktails are too sweet for me and I feel like I'm developing diabetes as I drain the glass. Still a good enough vibe though and I always like the food.

We chose here for bottomless brunch for a colleagues leaving drinks. A Tuesday afternoon the weather was bleak and after a few pull outs the day was looking ruined. In stepped Sarah! The lovely waitress who made our ordering easy and magical, she advised us on cocktails when we was unsure and the service was amazing between rounds. Bottomless brunch you cant argue with the price and value for money, I had the jerk wings and couldn't fault them. The curry goat was the only let down for me as I have had much better in local establishments and the meat was more like fat than meat but apart from that I will be back again and try something else. The atmosphere in the restraunt is brilliant and the staff add to the atmosphere and all were pleasant.

The food here is nicely prepared, tasty, and a good choice on the menu when 5 of us had a meal here. Sharing various starters was a good start to the evening; along with enjoying the 2 for 1 offer on cocktails. Main courses were served...again nicely prepared and very tasty. Just watch the bottle of nippy sauce on the table as its contents could require a swift pint of cold water! We downed a bottle of red wine - £20 for Malbec....and then ordered another bottle. Sadly our resident driver couldn't get the Cappuccino she wanted so resorted to diet coke. Wee note to restaurant- please ensure your coffee machine is in service until the last customer leaves. 1 star dropped for that reason. Our staff serving us seem to change mid-evening, but the guys left were pleasant. Would we go back? Ye- probably if we're back in Manchester.

Absolute shout out to Lauren from the bar staff, she immediately recognised that a 42 year old man was intimidating me and my 2 female friends, he said he was doing it because he thought we were 18 (we’re not but cmon). She reached out to us subtly with so much tact and grace and made us feel much more safe, unfortunately the bouncer did not match her energy. But we have really appreciated her service and hope she is a valued member of the team.

I’ve been several times before for drinks and it’s a great place for that! However, I wouldn’t come here again for a dinner. The Turtle Bay seemed to have lived up to its name because everything was slow and felt like it took forever. From getting the food served - it was a Sunday so not even that busy - to waiting to receive the bill to waiting for the card machine. Luckily, we weren’t in a great hurry and still had a pleasant time amongst ourselves.

One of the few Caribbean restaurants (including a Trini national dish - doubles- as opposed to only Jamaican food) in Manchester. As a Caribbean myself, the flavours are good although the textures of meals can be improved. There are more than one restaurant and it's not halal which is a real let down as there are so many halal enthusiasts in diverse Manchester. The service is quick and very friendly staff. The prices could be better. The vibe of the restaurant is right and nostalgic for a Caribbean person (especially the music).

Cocktails at £9 for one was a tad expensive I felt and partner had a mojito which wasn't the best. Tasted quite watery. The drinks took a bit of time to arrive, however, the restaurant was quite full. Drinks wise, I went for the 4 rum offer with ginger ale which was fantastic and meant I could share with the table. I also took note of the rums and will be buying a few for Christmas! The food was amazing! I had a goat curry which is a safe bet for me, something I would make at home but it tasted great. I tried the ribs and burger my daughter's ordered and the ribs were fantastic and recommended if you like smokey meat. All in all a good meal. We had drinks and meals for six which was around the £145 mark so not too bad for a night out in Manchester. I would definitely recommend a visit if you like Caribbean influenced food.

Bottomless brunch is a right laugh. Foods pretty good. The curry chips are absolutely insane, you must try them!! Then it's just a matter of sinking as many cocktails as you can in 2 hours. Savannah was our waitress and kept us well hydrated 😂 (we think we had 8 or 9 each). Probably something you should do on a Saturday rather than a Sunday like we did 😬

Came here on a Thursday evening, wasn't too busy however cocktails were taking 20 minutes so I'd suggest ordering a few at the same time. Wish the staff were more attentive, they were friendly enough but all stood round chatting and I seen a few tables have to go up to the bar to ask to be served at their table. Whereas my local Turtle Bay they are always walking round to check on tables, offer you more drinks etc.

It's obvious tye food is fast and mostly ready made ... For example I've had tye Mac and cheese before and they'd not made it properly... it was all watery like tye dry packets you get in a supermarket. etc however, the food is good and tye hot sauce is lovely. Nice looking place that offers various overpriced cocktails. Best to come here before 7pm when it is happy hour; you can get 2 of the same drink, all for the usual price of 1 (~£9). Some of the staff free pour the spirits which is a bonus. They take reservations, so you may have to move tables during your drinking session, like we had to, to give up some of your tables

Amazing place just avoid sitting near the bar, the lady bar tender is very angry and should find another job maybe somewhere where she can break things. She keeps on throwing bottles/glass in the bin so hard and scares the customer every other minute. I was supposed to be there on a date but she ruined the mood. I really hope someone from the place does read this and actually take an action cuz it was a horrible experience!

The food and drinks were absolutely stunning, and the interior looked really cool. My only complaint was that the music was loud enough so that you couldn't have a conversation with your company, and had to semi-scream to both them and the waitress. But it wasn't loud enough to hurt my ears or give me a headache. It was a Saturday evening, however, so it may be a bit more toned down during the week. Would definitely recommend to others, and go again when I have the chance!

One of a handful of the Caribbean cafés (counting a Trini public dish - copies instead of just Jamaican food) in Manchester. As a Caribbean myself, the flavors are acceptable albeit the surfaces of suppers can be improved. There are more than one café and it's not halal which is a genuine let down as there are such countless halal devotees in different Manchester. The help is speedy and amicable staff. The costs could be better. The energy of the café is correct and nostalgic for a Caribbean individual (particularly the music).

Food was good, as was the service but I didn't enjoy my visit as it was absolutely rammed to the point of being uncomfortable and excessively loud. I would have no issue with either of these things if it weren't for the fact it was billing itself as a dining experience suitable for works Christmas do's (the reason for our visit). It's either a drinking place with no dancefloor or a restaurant that's too crowded and loud to dine comfortably. Seems to me it needs to pick which type of venue it wants to be. I understand other places in the chain are split over two floors so the dining area is away from the bar which would be much better. As I say the food and service were good so I probably would go back for a lunch but never again of an evening.

I went without a reservation, and with a very short time-frame to eat, as I had somewhere to be that night. I was quite impressed by the speed at which I was served, and the friendliness of the staff. Staff The staff were absolutely amazing. I was promptly greeted at the entrance and given a seat near the kitchen. I was given adequate time to view the menu before my waitress came to take my order. I'm not used to this - normally they come rather quickly and repeatedly. The waitress was happy, helpful and friendly. She answered questions without hesitation and went out of the way to get me extras that I had requested. It was amazing service. Atmosphere The atmosphere is brilliant. The lights, the décor, the music - it all works very well for the style and taste of the restaurant. If you want a nicely atmospheric location, I would definitely recommend Turtle Bay. Prices/Value I was quite impressed by the prices, especially for such a large restaurant in it's location. At first I was a bit put off by the price of the drinks - but when my drink arrived, I understood why. You get value for money with these. I had the home-made pink lemonade. I came in a large 1 litre bottle. Food The food came quickly and was delicious. It was great portions sizes for the price I paid. It was fresh and I had no problems at all. Etc. You get a real tea towel type napkin here, along with a real steak knife. There are several hot sauces on the table, and others available upon request. The tables seem like they would be small if you ordered a large meal or had several people - I didn't do any of these things so it was fine for me.

Food wasn't really of a great quality. Ribs were dry and rest of the food was a bit of a let down. They also didn't have the strong beer or any craft beers in stock so we settled for a bottle of pinot rather than drinking the usual fizzy water larger stuff. The service was a bit hit and miss and not overly professional although the girl who served us was really lovely. I like the concept of the place and think that a few tweaks could sort out the nagging issues.

Great food as long as you don't select from the Jerk menu. The curries and Caribbean dishes are very tasty and we always enjoy them but I don't know how they can make the jerk dishes so tasteless. The jerk chicken and ribs taste as though the meat is boiled then just smothered in sauce from a bottle or trickled with a bland jerk gravy - a real embarrassment for a Caribbean restaurant. Sort the jerk out and all the food will be brilliant. The jerk ribs USED to be amazing! Good selection of bottled beers.

If I was going only for drinks, I'd give 4 stars. But the food left a lot to be desired. I tried the jerk pork belly, which was quite dry (the pork itself was cooked pretty well), and the jerk sauce wasn't anything to rave about. The rice and peas was quite bland too. The spicy pineapple ended being the best part of the dish. Again though, for drinks alone the place is excellent (especially when it's 2 for 1) and the service is excellent too.

Went for staff meal out and very impressed!. We were able to book for a table for 14 people on the day. Food was lovely and very tasty. Great service and atmosphere, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Love the internal decor, looks fab and ads to the overall experience 😀.

The food here is amazing! From the small dishes to the half-a-chicken, the food is spiced perfectly and is a unique flavour experience amongst restaurant chains. On top of that, a huge range of delicious cocktails can accompany your meal! You basically need to try it.

The place and staff are amazing it’s just a shame that the food isn’t a traditional Caribbean cuisine, it needs seasoning and do be afraid to use garlic. If you want to give people an authentic taste of the Caribbean add some spice. Apart from that it’s a lovely place.

The food was amazing, however the member of staff who served us said there would be a 20 minute wait, after waiting 20 minutes and seeing all the empty tables, I approached a waitress and asked if there were any free tables....her reply...."Yes, there are plenty of tables, where would you like to sit".....why did we have to wait??? Maybe some training is needed or more communication between the bar staff and waiter/waitresses.

I love the cocktails here and usually love the atmosphere. This last Saturday I ordered curried goat and it was awful. Just a lot of vegetables and hardly no meat. I was quiet disappointed really as I've eaten from here many times before.

Really nice food although the portions are small. 241 cocktails after 10pm which is a great bonus if your dining late, not much space at the bar area and if you aren't dining it can be troublesome to find a seat, even if the bar area is full and the dining area is empty you are still not permitted to sit at a table if you are not dining.

I think the long Island was a bit grim but there was a passionfruit orange one that was 👌👌 Food is also available but didn't eat there so can't help on that front.

What an unexpected surprise! We had lots of small plates of food, cocktails, and a fabulous 'rum board' (we had the second one up in the price range with bitter lemon mixer), all served to us at our bar stool table. I asked the bar person for advice on which rum board to choose and was grateful of their honesty when they admitted having no idea. Will definitely go back when we visit Manchester again.

Ordered the chicken curry, the portion was huge couldn't even finish it by myself, the waitress checked on us couple of times if the food was alright and if we need anything else which I always expect that from a good customer servise, coctails two for one was great as well although is was a bit watery, probably someone used warm glasses, there was an issue with the Irish coffees that we ordered because they couldn't put the cream on top but the waitress did apologized and took them of the bill. Definitely would recommend to visit there whether it's for food or just to have couple of drinks
