Reviews of V Rev Vegan Diner
S. M.
I just love this place!
The staff are very friendly, the food is great (the portions are pretty sizeable too) , and the cocktails are lovely.
I particularly like the cherry bomb cocktails and the hotdogs.
I’ve been countless times now and will definitely be back.
G. P.
I had the Kebabadook burger and shared the classic loaded fries (with special sauce) with my kids. It was all delicious, but the burger was the *best* I've ever had. Not just best vegan burger, best burger overall. And I've eaten a lot of burgers over the last 46 years. In fact, overall one of the tastiest meals I can remember having. Absolutely amazing.
Booked an hour ahead via the website (very easy) and so glad we did. The place filled up rapidly as soon as we arrived, and with the quality of the food, I'm not surprised. The staff were all really nice, and it's 10/10 from me.
T. M.
I absolutely loved it here. I've been on vacation in Manchester with some of my friends for a couple days, and I am the only vegan. They've been very considerate, trying to find places with vegan options. But none of them were that great, to be honest, I did not feel like I got my money's worth.
Here, I felt right at home in a small, back alley, cozy restaurant. I ordered a meal and this "milk"shake, and once they came out with this huge thing (and it subsequently tasting amazing), I knew I was going to give 5 stars.
Staff was friendly, the food was good, although not every item is going to blow your mind. But it certainly beats any of the restaurants with "vegan options", and there is a good variety of creative fast food meals, so you'll find something, and it'll be somewhere from "pretty enjoyable" (hot dogs) to "great" (Mac n Cheese) to "amazing" (Milkshakes)!
M. G.
I'm not vegan. I'm not fooled by 'fake' meats either. But.... This place is fantastic. The spicy chicken burger is delicious, crispy and peppery, lovely bun, great sauces, even enjoyed the pickles which I don't normally eat. The fries are nice.... But the best thing is the Special Sauce. It's amazing. They need to bottle it up and sell it. You'll want it on everything after trying it.
The wings are massive.... Seriously. And you get 5 of them. Bring an appetite with you.
B. O.
Wow! Food is absolutely outstanding the mac n cheese is hands down the best I've tasted in the 5 years I've been vegan. It would rival any non vegan version. The hot wings were outstanding as well. We had an absolute feast here the portions are so big, it'll be my 1st stop if I'm ever visiting Manchester again. Loved it!

Super cute little place that offers an all vegan menu. The dishes are fast-food inspired and I’m loving it because vegan restaurants tend to be more ”healthy-hipster” oriented so this was definitely a nice surprise! You do not have to be vegan to appreciate the food because everything is packed with flavor, colors, texture, you name it.
I had the Mac and Cheese and it made me want to move to Manchester… It was super creamy and cheesy. Their burgers were also delicious.
We did not have much time so no dessert for us sadly. The couple sitting next to us had ordered some cakes and they looked divine… Imagine the disappointment 🥺
I will definitely be back (when in Manchester)
R. R.
Delicious vegan junk food! Booking in advance is advised but lunchtime hours are usually quieter. I recommend the loaded chips and mac and cheese

I hadn't been to V-Rev since before the pandemic so was excited to be back. The food was great as always, really awesome vegan junk food that I think many meat eaters would enjoy too (my boyfriend included). The decor is really cool, and the staff are all friendly and attentive. Their kitchen is also nut-free which is great for me as I have a nut allergy and find it hard to eat at a lot of vegetarian/vegan restaurants.
R. S.
Food is sooo good!! Lots of good diner style options, I spent a fortune as wanted to try little bit of a few things. Staff were really lovely too and it's a fun quirky place. It's a definite must go if you're in Manchester vegan or not!
J. W.
This place is just vegan junk food. So much flavours on the burgers and the burrito wraps. All the food was fresh and hot when served. The atmosphere is similar to the 80’s. Clean and comfortable sitting. More tables downstairs.
A. A.
Delicious as always, very filling food. My only gripe is it is expensive and that prevents me from going as much as I'd like. Well worth a treat though.
E. T.
Came here on a recommendation of a fellow vegan and was just blown away by how DELICIOUS everything was. We got the burrito and the kebab fries which were both such so full of flavour - amazing! Also had a lovely chat with the staff who were happy to give their person recommendations on the food. Great pop/punk playlist on the go too!
C.
Loved it here! Food took a while but they offered us a free pint each because of the wait and I was in good company so no issue. Decent prices and extremely good food, imitates how I remember meat to taste almost perfectly! Also had good music in the background!
P. R.
First time at V Rev and it was fantastic. It was the first time trying out vegan food and I couldn't be happier.
I asked for advice from the waitress regarding what to start with as I have a stomach condition which limits what I eat. She was fantastic and very helpful. I didn't catch her name. I want to thank her very much for her kind words. The next time I am back in Manchester, V Rev will be the first place I visit.
Thank you. 10🌟
C. G.
My favourite vegan place in Manchester. Everything is amazing and the service is always perfect.
R. L.
Thank you so much for a lovely meal. We had two great burgers and the chips were delicious. Everyone was so accommodating of our toddler as well and helped us feel like we weren't being a nuisance! We can't wait to come back again
L. J.
Went here recently just for a drink and dessert and realised what a lack of choice there is. Nonetheless, the service was good. I wouldn't recommend the cheese cake. It tastes like uncooked cake batter (usually I love it, but not for a cheese cake).
When I've been before I've eaten mains which have always been good though.
R. C.
The folk at V Rev are so welcoming and they never fail to serve delicious vegan junk food which is not junk food actually because of fewer calories and no animal products at all. I adore this restaurant and try I go as often as I can with my spare time and when I have the cash. We need more restaurants of this calibre throughout the UK!
C. S.
We had the most amazing food, absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu. Super friendly and informative staff too!
S. D.
Deeeeeeelicious and delightful. A bit pricey but definitely worth it, was delicious and filling
S. M.
Finally a fast food for vegan, it was an amazing experience even if you are not vegan. Amazing sandwiches, the atmosphere is unique and the costumer survive is supreme, the gay taht served us it has been very gently with our questions. A really wide menu with a lot of dishes and choices, desserts are very recommended for a complete experience. It is also highly recommended as a different experience even for the junk food.
J. S.
V-Rev is one of my favourite places to be!! I go constantly and there isn’t one bad thing I can say about it. The food is absolutely amazing and the item names are really silly, it’s cute. One of my favourites was discontinued years ago and i never got to try it but it was called “Pestojam and earl”. That’s so cool. No one else would ever name a menu item after literally the best 90’s videogame duo. They also have a burger called “The Kebabadook” and I love that. The building design is so cozy and cool!!! There’s plenty of awesome local art and pop culture posters hung about. The music which plays throughout the building is also really good, lots of Alt bangers and plenty of other genres get spun too. Oh! And all of the staff are some of the most lovely people I’ve ever been blessed to meet, They all work together to make nice vibes and smooth operations! Service is great and they all feel like one big family. they’re all incredibly sweet. I love this place a lot please go if you’re ever in Manchester!!!

Really enjoyed our food here this evening. Oh my god, the menu is insane. Everything we saw come out looked incredible.
We settled for two hot dogs (the pizza one and a Christmas one) and they were both amazing.
I really enjoyed the experience. One thing I would say as some feedback was that it took a good 45 - 50 mins before we got our food.
K. M.
Been thinking of changing my eating habits for quite a while now and thought I’d try out this place for the first time… ordered the nacho man hotdog to take away & it was amazing. 5 out of 5, although I now have guacamole on my car seat 😂
J. D.
Excellent vegan food and lovely staff!
J. W.
The food is really tasty. Sometimes you couldn’t tell it’s vegan food. Cheese fries are fantastic, highly recommended! Staffs are friendly. If you go at busy hours, waiting time can be long.
I. G.
Lovely food and nice service. One of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been! We had burgers with (no)chicken patty and it was fresh and delicious. The only suggestion-menu should show drinks sizes but overall place is great!
m. b.
The best vegan food we have had in a long time. Great environment and staff and the music is just perfect. Thanks for the recommendation Will Gould!
C. P.
Highly highly recommend. The food is absolutely amazing, good portions and reasonable prices. I've visited a few times since the new location opened and the menu has changed a lot and some of my photos here are older! Only tried one cocktail (vegan white russian) and it was delicious. Always worth a visit in Manchester, some of the best vegan junk food!!!
h. b.
Mac and cheeze was amazing, great portion and flavour - on the lunch menu for £5. The burger was also full of flavour. Plenty of food options on the menu and reasonably priced. The staff were all very friendly and atmosphere was good. The only negative was that the milkshake machine was down! Good option for vegans ! Easy to find
M. S.
Fab 1st time experience at V-REV for myself and 7 work colleagues on a works lunch. The group was mostly non veggie, but happy to try going vegan for lunch. Helpful staff with dealing with the booking, and good service on the day. All the food went down really well with everyone, the menu is definitely a crowd pleaser. Everyone loved it. I'd have no hesitation in recommending V-REV to anyone, whatever their diets! Thankyou
Y.
I was finally able to try the food from this restaurants menu. Here is what I ordered: Barbecute Without The E with a 'chicken' patty (9.95), Whopper Way To Make a Living with a 'beef' patty (8.95) and Mac & Cheez (3.25). Totalling (GBP)£22.15.
We ordered and paid online at 14:45 and the food was ready to collect around 15:15.
The cost of the burgers ranged from £10-£9. Which is expensive for a burger when you compare it to Wholesome Junkies (£7-£8), a Whopper from Burger King (£4.50) or even the double Whopper (£5.50). Hence for putting 4 stars instead of 5.
The taste of the food made the price bearable. What I mean by this is you'll almost forget how much the burgers cost because the food is so flavorsome.
-The Mac&Cheez was creamy and delicious. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture to show here.
- The Whopper Way To Make a Living held an identical texture and taste to it's original counterpart. This was my favourite out of the two burgers I tried.
- The Barbecute Without The E was very filling but not all that great.
R. C.
Top notch vegan food. Ordered a 1 main and 3 sides between 2 people and barely finished. Reccomend the Nashville hot wings
U. Z.
the food was super delicious and the atmosphere was just amazing
J. E.
I originally reviewed this place as 4 stars after coming on a busy night, but after going again I defo think v rev deserves full marks. this time, we were served quickly (and this was a Saturday night!!), everything tasted amazing, and we had an amazing time. I would 100% recommend you come here!!
G. A.
This place is amazing. Their food is flavourful, varied and vegan. They have a great selection of cocktails including some non alcoholic ones, excellent hot chocolate and unbeatable milkshakes!
Not only their food is excellent, their staff wonderfully welcoming, and their prices very reasonable, but they also offer take out using compostable plastics, provide a carbon neutral service, and their toilets are gender inclusive!
V Rev should be a necessary stop for anyone visiting Manchester. I often find any excuse to go tomtje city almost exclusively to visit the restaurant. Will certainly visit again.
D. E.
Amazing Vegan junk food! Always a great visit to this restaurant with great service from the whole team 👍🏻
The food never disappoints, and lives up to his belly busting vegan junk food name 🍔🤤
P. W.
Blown away by the flavours! Definitely recommend getting loaded fries for £1 extra with your main, and make sure you save room for dessert. Very difficult to decide on the burger but went for the relatively simple (compared to the others on the menu!) Whopper Way To Make a Living, but this didn't mean flavour or satisfaction was compromised. Southwest Fries were ridiculously moreish with chipotle mayo and gooey cheese, and the peanut & cookie icecream was just gorgeous.
Recommend booking if you're heading there in peak times just in case.
Friendly staff and really clean and modern interiors
S. T.
Nice vegetarian food. Friendly staff. Very clean place. Was coming back after 4 years but honestly I missed the veggi Rip.
L. M.
Amazing burgers, delicious fries, and the frickles are fab. Absolutely love visiting V Rev whenever we’re in Manchester - it’s a real treat. We recently took our non vegan friends and they said these were some of the best burgers they’d ever eaten.
a. t. f. V.
Awesome! Lots of flavour and top notch food. It was our first visit and I was surprised at having so many choices. We had kebabadook, kevinbacon, buffalo the vampire slayer and yeah pizza real monster and brownies to share. Going again this morning for brunch to try the pancakes! I've also got my eye on the vegan lollies in the jars on the counter as you go in. And the staff were lovely, especially the young lady who served us wearing a red pokemon cap - Diana.
J. R.
Great Vegan food, really tasty and very filling.
Team are also great, really looked after us well
E. M.
This place is amazing! They serve delicious burgers at a reasonable price and the staff is extremely nice. We had a "beef" burger and a "chicken" burger and I wouldn't be able to tell which one was nicer, they were simply delicious! The espresso with whipped cream was also amazing. Oh and if you need another reason to visit this place, they add an optional 99p charge on your bill which is used to plant a fruit tree in order to compensate your meal... what are you waiting for? 😉
I. L.
Good burger, the loaded fries were an overkill though. Too much sauce for me to enjoy. The "chicken" burger I had was good but I'm not a big fan of meat and cheese substitutes so I probably won't be going back. The fake bacon really tasted like bacon so if you that's your thing, go for it!
I. P.
Visited for the first time today but definitely will be coming back. Loaded fries ( all I can say everyone need to try them) and ginger beer was so refreshing in this heat. I wish I could give one more star for the staff. Just amazing.
C. S.
Honestly one of the best meals I've had in Manchester. Was only walking by and went in. Looking forward to going back. 10/10 Food and great service 👍🏼
L. H.
Fries were amazing, good selection of drinks but I'm not a fan of meat substitutes could've done with a big slab of veg instead!! Nice to see that even though it's small the entrance is accessible and there's an accessible toilet downstairs via a lift.
T. N.
Staff are really helpful and nice, the vibe and setting is unique and fitting to the food , and the food is incredibly delicious even if you had no idea the place was Vegan i would still put this place against any American style burger place. Fully deserving of the five stars ! I highly recommend that mozerela sticks.
d.
Coming to V Rev is always a delightful experience, you can pick any item from the menu and it'll please anyone's taste. Their selection of burgers are to die for, I've tried nearly all of them and can hands down say they serve bedt burgers in Manchester.
The food is well priced and portion sizes are fair. The staff at V Rev are warm and welcoming. Visit V Rev before it's too late!
H.
This place never disappoints. Proper substantial junk food, but vegan. Some of the best vegan burgers I've ever had and certainly the best vegan mac and cheese I've had.
V. H.
Fabulous vegan diner, so spoiled for options it took me good 10 min to decide what I'll have but no regrets, I just wish I'd have room for the vegan dessert! Definitely recommended and my non-vegan boss enjoyed the food so much too, V Rev is doing it's thing right indeed <3
R. J.
Amazing food! I didn’t know vegan food could ever taste that good! Great atmosphere and service, too.
C. B.
I'm a meat eater but I often try eating vegan vegetarian. I honestly didn't know that vegan options could rival a nice fried chicken burger but V-Revs proved me wrong. The 'mozarella' sticks are absolutely to die for
R. M.
The mozzarella sticks are the best ever. Love the south west fries and the brownie sundae. Amazing place to go if you're wanting to try some vegan junk food, everything is delicious and so saucy. 😍🧁👑🤪
J. L.
My teenagers took me for mother's day and we all loved it. Half my family are veggie/Half meatatarians - but even the 8 and 9 year olds said it was brilliant. Loved the sides and I really am impressed with their own soya/wheat burgers - nice one! Eating vegan really stepped up a mark. Watch those hot and spicy sweet and sour strips - they have a kick and a half!
B. B.
Uuuu if you want to “sin” a little this place is ideal, judging by its size it’s the most crowded vegan place I’ve been, obviously it depends the time of the day u go.
The menu has all this indulgent fast food cruelty free I just wish they had fish and chips as I haven’t try any yet. The deserts could be improved, they just had two choices. I loved that the place is different, trendy, comfortable and the food was good, the attention is nice, all the staff is very friendly and approachable.
I wish I could eat all of the menu in a day lol. I had the home salad with chickn and the chkn tender.
They have alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks!
bon appetit!
H. S.
Good atmosphere. Nice food but if you picky he careful. Burgers are nice n flavoured chips are good too. Staff is very friendly. And advance reservations is recommended. I personally think the choice is limited to burgers (mainly) and I think they can improvise in menu.
J. L.
Excited to finally visit. Not your 'healthy vegan' choice, but overall a fun experience.
PROS:
Great to be able to eat ANYTHING on the menu as a vegan / vegetarian.
Meat eaters would like too.
Rich and tasty food.
Good range.
Mid range prices (around £11 - £15 per person depending choices)
Great fries.
Generous portions.
CONS:
Can be a wait to be seated even though you pretty much have to pre book.
Food can take a while after ordering.
A little too oily (we had 'chicken' & 'beef' burgers with plain and fully loaded chips).
Staff aren't particularly friendly and seem rushed.
VERDICT:
GREAT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR DECADENT, VEGAN 'JUNK' FOOD...skip lunch to be able to accommodate these belly busters at dinner lol.
Would have given 3.5 if able... Not quite a 4.
Free parking in the area only after 8pm.
Be prepared that it is dog friendly (with hall of fame picture wall to boot lol)
Great to visit. Fun food and decor. But would only go a few of times a year.
N. B.
I called in here for lunch mid week having wanted to check out some vegan eating places in the city. I really liked the welcoming laid back atmosphere, great music and decor. The food was fantastic, that kind of 'burger and dirty fries' that leave you totally satisfied and a little guilty cuisine. I had a V-Rev's take on a club sandwich and split the fries with my wife. The sandwich was one of the best club sandwiches I'd ever had, filling was packed full of taste and texture. Fries were delicious and plentiful. I loved the 'Doggo of the week' photos, which leads me to assume the place is Doggo friendly :-) Overall great experience, can and have recommended to my vegan and non-vegan friends alike (I'm not vegan btw). Can't wait to go back!
B. G.
The tastiest burgers and burritos I've eaten - and all vegan. Lovely outdoor tables in the Northern Quarter give this place a great continental vibe.
L. d. P.
Unreal. I literally can't say any more!
I searched "vegan" in the Manchester city area and saw here and thought cool, burgers, that will suit me. I was wowed at the menu length and once I got my food I was wowed with that too. Should I ever be in the area again I would 100% go back and try something else.
Who says vegan is just vegetables???
P. M.
Tremendous! Vegan paradise. Funky interior design and attracts a clientele to match. Be warned - portions are large, American-style so don't over order. Milkshakes way too sweet and the savoury pancakes are just regular with a couple of small rashers. Very good and fluffy, and you get four huge ones in the portion. Chicken wings were just bready seitan and nowhere near as convincing as Temple of Seitan or The Diner in London. Loaded tater tots with cheese sauce and guacamole were superb. The deep fried sourdough toastie was simply too oily, and I think next time I'd focus on burgers, hot dogs and mac and cheese in that great cheese sauce. It gets busy so highly recommend you book!
M. L.
Amazing place! Staff are really attentive and on it, and seemed happy to answer questions about the food.
I got the Kevin Baecon with fries, and then shared a side of chicken tenders. Very filling and satisfying food!
My only criticism is that the burger could have had more baecon in it since that was one of the main ingredients mentioned on the menu. Prices are okay, could be slightly cheaper to attract more students - but decent for a very occasional treat!
H. B.
Fantastic VEGAN diner; if you had wondered about giving up on animal products but it too sure if you could, here is an excellent place to start.
Located in the Northern Quarter, and looking every bit a 'diner' as you can imagine, the seats are comfy, and quite stylish. The artworks relevant and entertaining, decent sound system and good loos.
A good selection of classic diner food, burgers and hotdogs, mixed with fab milk shakes, and for the alcoholics amongst us, a good drinks menu. Prices are very reasonable for the location, for both food and drink.
We ordered a burger, a hotdog, some chilli, and fried battered pickles. I took exception to the pickles, they were cold and a bit soggy, and a really just a big stack of pickled gherkins. I'll be skipping those next time! The rest of the meal was delicious.
I have edited this review. As the management have finally given up on those silly plastic baskets. However, still on undersized plastic plates.
The staff attentive and very friendly. Food mostly good, drinks good. Cool place and not expensive. With proper plates, Its 5/5. It's not a massive place, and you might have to wait. But it will be well worth it.
O. B.
THIS PICTURE DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE - I had the chickn parm burger and it was some of the best vegan food I've ever had in my life.
The menu is absolutely huge as well so there is pretty much something for everyone.
It's slightly on the expensive side, but completely worth it for high quality fake meat vegan food.
I'm desperate to go back and try all the others!
R. A.
Meat eater here and I absolute loved Vrev. It's the vegan answer to the dirty burger joints like almost famous ect. Seriously good food! I went for Ranch Deveraux hotdog and it was dripping in BBQ and ranch sauce. Got the loaded fries as well, the kebab one were my favourite covered in a fake Donna , slaw, sriracha and ranch. I also tried the buffalo fries which were also great, they were swimming in this vegan cheese sauce, that tasted like Cheetos, and lathered in buffalo sauce
T.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, attentive service - my favourite place to eat in Manchester when I go, and I'm not even vegan/vegetarian!
The picture attached is the buffalo "chicken" salad, which I absolutely loved. The least disappointing salad I've ever had; I didn't feel hard done by for ordering a salad at all ;)
J. H.
Disclosure: I am a carnivore recently turned vegan (for now).
So great idea and wonderfully presented food. The 'chicken' (seitan) tenders were excellent.
The whopper and buffalo fries were gloopy (with the ridiculous amounts of sugary sauce) and tasted just awful. I'd drop the vegan bacon and think reduce the amount of cheese used.
Would go back and try the chicken burgers as the seitan pieces were really good.
D. J.
Damn good vegan burgers. My partner and I went for the first time for dinner and decided to share a chicken burger, a beef burger and poutine. The beef burger was out of this world delicious and would certainly impress both vegans and nonvegans. The chicken burger was good but the pieces of seitan are so big that it can be a bit much. The girl serving us was super friendly and efficient. I will certainly be visiting again.
V. F.
One of my fave vegan restaurants for sure. I'd probably recommend booking in advance as they were always full in their previous location, and even in a larger venue, they're just as popular!
The burgers are amazing. The Avocado chicken (seitan) burger is delicious, and I tried one of their beef burgers today and was absolutely stuffed by the end of it. Their loaded fries are super tasty.
I'm not vegan (or even vegetarian) but heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to take vegan/veggie/meaty friends out to a more casual, chilled diner. I took my mother there who hasn't really experienced modern vegan food, and it was a huge hit with her. My sister is vegan and she absolutely loved it, the mozzarella sticks were especially her favourite. They're dog friendly, and have a wall of fame of Polaroids of doggos that have visited.
A. K.
This place is perfect for your cruelty-free junk food craving! Never tried vegan mozzarella sticks before but they were very tasty! Loved the chick'n burgers too.
T. P.
Love the food, love the message, love the atmosphere.
One thing they could improve on is how long you have to wait for things (Not food! That's usually pretty quick). I'm talking paying up. It takes 20 minutes to get the attention of somebody, then they bring your Bill, come back 40 minutes later (exaggerating a little) to ask if you need the card machine, then 3 days (exaggerating a lot) after you finish, you can finally pay and leave.
The shakes are nice too.
A. S.
So...no...they don't serve meat... If you go here and complain because they don't, you are an idiot. That aside, the food is excellent and the selection of drinks is good too. I will be back (I am not a vegan), but the food is genuinely excellent and no I don't think they miss meat...
...not even bacon, no.
J. C.
Fantastic as always, friendly staff and excellent food. Had the donna chips kebab and it was amazing!
G. B.
This was such an unexpected treat, taken here because our friend is vegan only, I walked in not knowing what to expect and walked out with a hugely full belly and smile on my face.
The food is incredible with such flavours and after a strong recommendation from the waiter I had the Nacho Man Randy Savage and it was seriously good.
The one photo is not what I ordered but look how tasty it looks!!!
G.
Be sure to book! I went here completely unaware of how popular this place was on a Friday evening and we almost had to wait for an hour for a seat due to demand. In my eyes it's great to see this distinctly vegan resteraunt seeing so much business but I would still recommend making a reservation if you are wanting to visit. We had the best vegan burgers when we visited, fried seitan with fake bacon and fake cheese in between two donuts was an experience I will never forget! and the desserts! The brownie was really rich and just the right size to bring you to belt-pushing level before leaving while the ice-cream sandwhich was something i have been waiting for in a vegan dining experience and I was not disappointed at all! Would highly recommend to fellow vegans and non-vegans alike, either way your dining preferences lean this is still a tasty experience not to be missed.
C. D.
Great food, accommodating aswell as we turned up with no reservation and they had us a table in 10 minutes.
Quick service, we ordered and the food was also out in 10 minutes.
Staff super lovely and chatty. Clean well kept facilities, we will be returning. Would highly recommend the buffalo frys and mozzarella sticks.
M. C.
Delicious vegan fast food for low prices! The decor is a bit ~edgy~ but cosy at the same time. The service is fast and the staff is lovely and pay personal attention to customers.
K. M.
We ordered thru deliveroo, food came quickly and was amazing. Had the Nashville Hot, buffalo wings, loaded fries and a burger. Generously topped, homemade sauces were delicious. Definitely recommend, some of the best vegan food I've had.
D. B.
amazing vegan junk food. deffo worth booking at the weekend as so many people got turned away as too busy. great gluten free options and perfect kids menu too.

Amazing food that even my non-vegan Dad enjoyed! Also the £5 milkshakes are super filling! I'd always book a table though as we managed to get one without booking but watched loads of people have to be turned away (this was on a Thursday evening during half February term).
Y. G.
The staff are so lovely, the atmosphere extremely cool, and the food is great. My mum who has mobility issues came, and everything was super accessible and the waiters went out of their way to be helpful

As a committed meat eater (sorry vegans) I visited with a vegan colleague whilst away on business. The Whopper-but-not-really with the Beyond Burger patty was a revelation. Juicy, tasty, delicious - a really good burger on any basis.
Good beer too, and the non-dairy ice cream was excellent too.. Only the slightly dry cookie in the cookie-and-ice-cream dessert could be criticised, and it didn't let the meal down in any way.
Highly recommended!
J.
So good, 5/5, service, food, location and vibe!
C. H.
First time visit as part of a little vegan road trip to Manchester and I wasn't disappointed. As someone who eats predominantly a whole foods healthy plant based diet it's nice to have some vegan junk every now and then.
Great venue, furbished in a true fast food joint style, unhurried efficient service and good quality food at reasonable prices.
G. I.
Loved this place, I'm always sceptical about vegan food as it's not always the best but we absolutely loved the food here! The staff were great and it was all round a great experience
S. O.
So service is friendly and give 5 star but I feel the food has a way to go / the hotdog was layered in tomato and mustard a little too much / nachos are nice but were fried a little oily / we had the fake kebab I think again that needed work / burgers seem to be the better way to go here /.they use a little humour for chicken kebabs and meat add ons which is fun but may not hit the mark / they added 10 percent service nice if they had asked overall 43 pounds for two seemed up there / we both agreed that some small improvements would assist to five stars overall sorry would not rush back and it was half full on a Friday
J. B.
Everyone at our table enjoyed their food which tasted great, particularly for the non-vegans it was a nice surprise. The reason for my lower rating was it took just over an hour from sitting down to actually getting the food (and during the wait nobody asked if we wanted any additional drinks). Then the moment we finished our mains we were repeatedly asked if we wanted the bill (we ordered coffees), then advised (politely) that the table was reserved and we ideally needed to finish up. Always happy to move on if hanging around for no real reason but we were still drinking our coffees. I am aware if you book online you give 1.5 hours, and that is absolutely fine - but don't hassle customers for your slow service.
K. F.
Burger was good, fries were AMAZING but quite a big portion to have as a side to your burger (didn't think there was such a thing). Staff were very nice but unfortunately were extremely inattentive, which is a shame. Having to find your own menus, napkins, waiting ages for someone to even acknowledge your presence. She was talking to someone else whilst taking my order hence the error in my order.. Seriously bad service.
M. M.
Top notch vegan junk food. The food is really really reaaaally tasty, it comes in proper portions and for a good price. The food is not too greasy and just extraordinarily yummy. Even though it was super busy when I went too eat, the food is served really quickly and the staff is very kind. Keep up the good work!!!
B. M.
Amazing Vegan food right in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. V Rev offers a huge range of food for all preferences. From "beef"burgers and chikn burgers to loaded fries and mac and cheese, vegan lager and delicious milkshakes (with a host of milk options) you really couldn't ask for anything more if you're looking for a delicious, vegan treat.
K. P.
Great food and atmosphere. Every time I come to v rev I end up ordering way too much because it all looks so nice, I ended up eating so much I had to cancel bowling and go back the hotel instead haha. Friendly staff and not too expensive. It's right in the middle of Manchester so it's easy to get to by car, tram, train or walking. Would definitely recommend.
S. J.
Great vegan food. The menu is so varied. The service is friendly. The place is ace.
T. J.
Great vegan comfort food and friendly staff.
N. M. (.
I'm not a vegan, however, I hosted a guest who is and having seen it around I suggested it as a place to go eat, I wasn't disappointed.
The food was fantastic, staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. If you're a vegan or just want something different I highly recommend it, very filling and very unique dishes!
R. A.
Great service. Amazing food (plenty to choose from). Hands down the best vegan place I’ve ever been to. Will definitely return when I’m next in Manchester! Especially to try the milkshakes as sadly they had sold out. Definitely try the cheesecake - utterly to die for! 😍
D. “. E.
We had mac n cheese, 'chicken' burger and 'beef' burger. All very nice. Loved the dirty fries. Only negative was the cocktail. Looked and tasted like meths.
H. T.
Literally the BEST burger I've ever eaten. Amazing food and good service. I can't wait to go back here. Gluten free options too!
J. B.
Absolutely love this place! Staff were so so lovely and the food was incredible 🤤 and the milkshakes omggggg 😍 price is also reasonable for what you're getting!
M. L.
Great food (best vegan Mac and Cheese), great and super nice service and even great music selection!
T.
The greatest place! Absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend it. Great vibe from the place, and i loved the variety of music genres they played. Oh the food is just the besttt!!!
K. A.
If burgers/fries/shakes are your kinda thing it's definitely worth a visit! Booked a table inside for myself and my boyfriend and we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and the food was so good. We had a burger, hotdog, and shared some mac and cheese with some loaded fries too and we couldn't decide which was our favourite! They left this pregnant woman feeling satisfied after a great experience, will definitely come back again!
D. C.
Followed this place on IG for over two years despite living down South. Finally visited a couple of weekends ago during Manchester Punk Festival and did not disappoint! The best mac and "cheese" I've ever eaten.
S. S.
Absolutely amazing food and drinks. Staff were lovely and helpful. Recommended highly for food lovers be they vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters. You will love the food no matter what!
L. D.
Amazing place seated us right away the best mac and cheese I've ever can't wait to go again
K. L.
Managed to get a table given how busy they were. Service was really good, staff was very friendly and took the time to go through the menu and specials.
Ordered sandwich, fries, salad and mac and cheese. Bit too "vinegary" on the south west sauce and bit too much cheese on the fries for my liking! Overall was ok.
J. W.
Great vegan diner style food, the menu changes regularly and the portions are ample. Worth going out of your way to eat at.
D. H.
With the amount of highly oily, fatty and high sugar food. It manages to be less healthy than a lot of the meat equivalents it's trying to replace. Some of which taste okay, but others (the hot dogs especially) are unpleasant.
Vegan junk food can be had at tastier, healthier and cheaper, eg: Fat Annie's, seitans kebabs & wholesome junkies.
R. G. (. P.
Ok...what can I said..I'm not Vegan ..my girlfriend is..but this...was awesome! I love it so much , tasty fresh , and delicious! I will be back for sure .
H. W.
Loved all the food, boyfriend had the Kevin bacon burger and I had gluten free buffalo mac & cheese everything was delicious and so filling !!
K. A.
No one does vegan food quite like V Rev. Such great value for money and many different options — always friendly service, too.
T. S. o. R.
Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and great food especially the burgers and milkshakes which are unreal!
L. S.
Best burger I've ever had! Fantastic drawings and paintings, friendly staff and funny meal/drink names - absolutely recommend it. Great pale ale too!
N. G.
Has lots of nice vegan options but some of the dishes like mac and cheese are bland, the vegan chicken has a weird texture and the prices of dishes is quite pricey.
j. c.
As someone who's not even close to vegan and also, a very fussy eater. I can happily say that I couldn't recommend it enough here. The food was absolutely fantastic and their vegan mayo was better than the real thing. They also have really nice soft drinks, the cream soda was really nice and sweet
R. S.
Great Vegan restaurant in the heart of the Northern Quarter, their shakes are delicious! They do a really tasty beer-battered "fish" fillet 😁
S. H.
Don't go in here looking for "health food" because you're not going to find it! V Rev is junk food heaven for vegans and I usually enjoy my meals here (although they have become a little pricey since the move). Other than a few longer than average waits for food I've had many a great time here.
I would recommend the mac n cheese sticks or the deep fried pickles!
K. J.
Amazing Vegan junk food. Very tasty. Great prices.
L. K.
Saw mac and cheese on the board outside and had to stop in. Loved the mac n cheese and the buffalo chicken salad! Very funky smell but could be from vegan product, not entirely sure
J. T.
As a vegan of 8 years I really wanted to like this place but I was disappointed. The food itself was pretty good but the lack of plates was very frustrating and impractical. It’s very difficult to try to cut something up with a knife and fork when it arrives in a tiny styrofoam box. The drinks were extremely limited. We looked at the menu online and got excited for plant-based milkshakes but they were all out of stock, along with most of the other drinks. Water and orange juice weren’t even available. I ordered tea and for the price I was expecting a full tea pot but just received a small mug of hot water with a tea bag in. Decor and general atmosphere was nice.
M. B.
Superb food and a lovley atmosphere, staff are really helpful
T. G.
The best vegan restaurant there is, and as a guy who loves meat, i didn't miss it at all. I ate the hamburguer with french fries - awesome
P. C.
Lovely food, cooked fresh. Staff very friendly, chatty and helpful. Prices were good.
K.
Incredible vegan food and shakes. It's nice to have some delicious cruelty free "Junk" food available.
a.
Sooo good here!!!! We tried the seasonal pumpkin Mac n cheese! The vegan chicken wings are sooo good!!! Especially with the maple glaze! I love supporting fully vegan places :) can't wait to come back!
R. D.
Best vegan restaurant in the UK by far. Amazingly fast service from really nice staff, and the food is AMAZING. Have to undo some buttons on my jeans though.
S. B.
Great place. Went during pride so was extremely busy, although the menu was very much reduced and although we did have to wait a lot longer than usual (we were advised of this and it was full inside and out), the food was lovely and worth the wait. My daughter who can be quite fussy ate everything too which was surprising. Will definitely go again as the customer service was excellent, highly recommend 👌
A. G.
I always love me a v rev its like a addiction eveeything was superb stafg were amazing and accomaditing to my daughters nut allergy
Such nice food a amazing experience yet again cant wait to go back il be dreaming of that vegan mac and cheese until then
A. B.
Blimey, I can tell you now that we don’t get this kind of vegan eatery where we’re from! We came to Manchester for a weekend away and decided to visit V Rev diner. The loaded fries are heavenly, the burgers were so good and the service was really great. Waiting times for food were on the slow side but that’s to be expected for an independent restaurant on a busy Saturday night. We’ll definitely be coming back, but maybe ordering less as the portion sizes for the side dishes are pretty big! Eyes were bigger than our stomachs for sure, and we were really hungry when we came in! The side dishes filled us up alone and the burgers finished us off. So so good.
h. h.
As always, great vegan fast food.
Had the burrito for the first time, it was massive.
At the moment they have tables in the road that's been closed off along with neighbouring bars and restaurants, feels kind of European.
Think the menu has changed slightly from a year ago, but still good.
C. S.
Delicious greasy vegan junk food. Hard to decide what to order so ordered all 3 and this milkshake hits the spot..
A. W.
This place is a Mekka of vegan junk food. Never once had a bad meal and been coming back for a couple years now.
G. H.
Creatively named tasty vegan food, dog friendly, gender neutral bathrooms and super friendly staff! Vegan Mac n Cheese to die for 💜
M. B.
One of the best vegan places I have ever been too. The deserts are well worth a try
C. C.
Obsessed with this place. The food is incredible, the people are friendly. Fur friends are allowed. Reasonably priced and VEGAN. You can eat whatever you want off the menu!
D. (. D.
Best diner food ever, no contest! Don't let the v word put you off, this place will be the best "junk" food you'll ever have.
Z. W.
Visited with friends for drinks and food. We were a bit disappointed as we thought the drinks selection would be larger. As we weren’t super hungry, we ordered three sides to share - nachos (nice, large portion), seitan wings (definitely had better vegan chicken elsewhere) and a small mac and cheese (very coconutty, nothing special). The food didn’t blow us away but perhaps the mains are better, so would probably return to try them.
K. S.
Fantastic food, quick friendly service and at great prices. A must visit in northern quarter. Great for a gaggle of friends.
L. A.
Best vegan food ever. I wish I lived closer to eat it every week :) super friendly staff too.
m.
Incredible! Absolutely insanely good food and milkshakes (chocolate peanut butter shake pictured). VERY filling, you will over order so I reccommend bringing a box to take leftovers with you, I know I wish I had. I got the Kevin Bacon burger and the Cheez they put in is quite strong and rich so you may want to skip it. The "baecon" is very rich too, like a fatty smoky streaky bacon. The fried seitan is just beautiful and the chips are gorgeous, I got the pesto mayo ones.
A. K.
Stopped here for a light lunch, both got the side mac n cheese and fries and it was all delish. Probably the best vegan mac cheese we've had and we are pretty spoilt for choice down in London. Lovely staff.
T. H.
Well nice considering I've never eaten vegan before!! Deffo recommend the passion turn to the left for a drink
N. W.
Good service, good food, brilliant range of options and fun names for dishes, funky decor, gender neutral toilets and dog friendly (make sure you check out the wall of dog pics!)
C. M.
As a non-vegan, the food there is to die for.
Honestly one of the best restaurant/diners in Greater Manchester!
The staff are incredibly nice and I had a very nice conversation with one about IPAs.
I will always recommend this place when I get the chance!
A. H.
Came into town on a busy Friday evening and only had to wait 20-30 minutes for a table. They are limited to outdoor seating currently but don't let that put you off! The waiters and staff were welcoming and friendly. Amazing food, really great place to eat!
i. m.
Lovely food, great service and a great atmosphere. I can't find a fault, staff didn't rush you and were lovely and laid back
J. M.
Amazing food! Amazing Value! I had to check to make sure they’d charged us right it. Can’t wait to go back.
J. A.
Food was absolutely delicious 😍 Definitely worth coming here on Wednesday for free chicken wings!
S. M.
Awesome. Had the macatomi plaza burger and loaded fries. Best burger I've had in ages + 100% vegan. Good work!
L. P.
One of my favourite places in Manchester. Awesome food. Been going since it was on Oldham Street and always gets better, Went there for my first date with my boyfriend and used to pop in for coffee & cake often
J. H.
Fantastic food that doesn't cost the earth
M. D.
Incredible food and lovely staff. Easily our favourite place in Manchester
J. B.
Its ok, portions are a bit small for the price you pay, but it tasted ok, nothing special!
F.
The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere of the place is edgy and lovely! (They usually play good music too which is always a plus)
The food was impressive, I've been looking for a good vegan alternative place as I love burgers but never seem to get really good ones. Until now.
Give it a try if you want to try something new, and it's not only for vegans anyone can enjoy a good meal there for sure.
Would definitely recommend.
T. H.
Great food!!! YUM!
n.
Was taken here by my vegan friend who loves it, it did not disappoint but there is room for improvement for sure. The Mac n cheese wasn’t for me. Also on the overpriced side compared to similar vegan joints. Tasty but not spectacular. The decor is cute and simple!
M. B.
This is the absolute best vegan diner I've ever been to. Saitan chicken burger with loaded fries was just incredible, and the portions are HUGE. I'm sure I had a vegasm half way through eating. Sooooo good.
H. D.
Amazing Vegan food! Picked up takeout for my birthday, chickn burger, hotdog, wings & a birthday cake milkshake! Honestly the best I've had! Great service & friendly staff 10/10
N. B.
Great food, excellent customer service ! Will come again!!! I'm vegetarian but LOVE vegan food ! Definitely recommend !
M.
Really superb restaurant. Everything I've tried here has been highly impressive.
L.
Great vegan food. In fact it was just good food in general, I'm not a vegan and I enjoyed every bit
J. C.
Great selection of food and drinks. Very busy, due to it being a popular location in Manchester, so its advised to book ahead of time if there's more than one of you.
K. T.
Amazing, all the food me and my friends ate was incredible and I cant believe it's all vegan!
As a vegetarian I love my cheese, but this place always tempts me to convert 😋
M. S.
Friendly staff and plenty to choose from on their menu, and everything is so good! I would particularly recommend their milkshakes, they are divine.
I'd definitely recommend booking in advance though as they get pretty busy.
F. M. H. H.
Good mac n cheese.. Salad quite small. Nice busy atmosphere.
S. P.
No joke this place! The food is amazing, got the Not a crunch wrap last night it was so good and huge - had some leftover cold the day after and it was as delicious! Crispy fries even though it was delivered on bike, great crunchy mozz sticks and the mac and cheese is beautiful 😍 Need to eat instore soon. It is expensive but cruelty free takeaways tend to be and I think the quality of food makes it worth the treat!
J. T.
Great meal had here a few weeks back on a Saturday afternoon, always enjoy coming and enjoying the burgers!
J. R. R.
Baconnaise is amazing - how do they get it so bacony?! Sadly the Cookie milkshake was a bit too artificially sweet, but the burgers and fries are great.
R. M.
Best vegan “junk food” I’ve ever had - incredible burgers, mac and cheese, loaded fries, milkshakes....basically everything. I’m planning on trying everything on the menu. Also loved the photo wall. Don’t miss it if you’re vegan/vegetarian!
A. T.
Great experience with extra vegan cuisine. And the atmosphere was great, however the service was a little slow
R. S.
I liked it, great staff (it not a little hipster - then again what isn't these days?). Had the pizza burger which was amazing! Great selection of beers too. The missus had one of the hot dogs and wasn't too impressed...I guess it just depends on what your take is on vegan junk food, as I am a total slob 😂
Y. M.
This food has converted me, I could easily be vegan on this, and much tastier than the normal burgers with beef or chicken !!
M. S.
Awesome food and staff are great at what they do. They are excited to share their love of food with all customers. I've been Vegan for few months now and this was such a treat.
E. O.
Although I am not vegan, I loved their Johnny Nashville chicken burger and the Cookie Shake. They were so filling and tasty, and I'd love to try more of the menu. The staff were lovely and friendly, and made my visit a pleasant one. Thanks V Rev!
N. G.
We order the Barbecute without the E and the notorious D.O.G. Food was amazing! best burger I had by far. Service is great and super friendly. We also ordered the cookie sandwich, a bit disappointing, would pass next time and choose something else. Highly recommended vegan diner, will definitely go back again.
S. J.
Very nice food and friendly staff. Great place to sit in with lot of stuff on the walls to look at
R. T.
My favourite vegan place in town. Lovely burgers and hot dogs and best vegan desserts. It's a bit pricey but it's understandable since they're an independent restaurant, and it's totally worth it anyway. Highly recommend.
H.
Great burgers and fries. Friendly service and dog friendly . V REV is unconditionally recommended .
J. F.
Nice environment and great service. Food was very appealing and tasted nice. Will highly recommend.
J. L.
Tried a lot of vegan places in manc and they can be hit and miss but this place is just Insane quality. You can't tell it's vegan it just tastes like fantastic chicken and amazing burger. They do a brilliant job and the staff are lovely too. Can't wait to go back.
N.
V-Revs is the best vegan food in the area, great for everyone regardless of diet. The faux-milkshakes are definitley worth it.
Prices were decent and in-line with the area.
Wholesome Junkies, in the Arndale, come a close second.
A. Y.
Their food it’s AMAZING. The cheesecake it’s the best I ever had. Mac & Cheese it’s simple but super flavourful. I would suggest trying all their menu as you won’t be disappointed.
D. B.
We were lucky to get a table, not having booked. So is recommended at weekends. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. Portions were more than generous. Another warning, beware the salt cellars, Niagara falls has nothing on these in terms of flow. Good job I like my fries salty. Heartily recommended.
S.
Delicious. Note that there are no lightweight options here. Go hungry for tasty hearty food. Their home made melty cheeses are awesome.
o.
the food was amazing and the servers were so nice!
A. A.
This place is fabulous! There's a great laid back vibe with nice decor and appropriate music. The menu is incredibly exciting and offers many vegan options. When the food arrived, my companions and I were overwhelmed by the deliciousness of the food! It was so tasty we found ourselves wondering how it could be vegan - but it was! I will be recommending this place to everyone in Manchester I speak to!
M. W.
Really good food and great service. Only thing stopping it from being a 5* review is the fact that the peanut butter shake as a large was half the size of a vanilla shake as a large yet the two cost £5 each. Other than that, great diner with a lovely atmosphere.
J. N.
Great Vegan food, great staff, great atmosphere. make sure you book as this place is always booked up!
c. c.
Honestly I expected the worst because....vegan. But the food was actually really nice, the staff were friendly. The seating plan wasn't too cramped. The environment and colour scheme was unique. Nice place to bring friends or a date. I will say, to maybe not so much sauce on the fries or serve them on the side. But TBH I didn't ask, maybe they had that option. But really good for vegan food.
E. M.
Food was excellent and daring, as always, and the staff was lovely!
D. C. -. A.
Amaing variety of vegan food you would t even imagine it! My friend and I were impressed and really enjoyed it! Would defenetly go back!
P. W.
When you want a naught veggie or vegan burger or hot dog in Manchester-- this is the place. Only knocked off one star as it was tricky to contain my mess to the styrofoam box when dining in.
M. P.
Absolutely brilliant. Amazing vegan soul food. Would drive across the country for that again. Even if you weren't vegan, you'd be impressed. Staff are just as nice as the food too. We had the spicy fried "chicken" burger, Mac n "cheese" and the fried pickles. Perfection was achieved on these meals!
J. M.
The food was great and the service was even better! We were served by the manager, who helped us pick from the wide variety of options on the menu. No questions were a problem and we were even moved to more comfortable seating (as we were sat in the window) without us asking.
I had a barbecue burger, served with 'bacon', fried onions and slaw. And I was really impressed! It was very tasty. I'd safely say the best I've tasted. My girlfriend had a spicy 'chicken' burger and she loved hers. The chips were good too! We'll definitely be going back in the future.
A. B.
Great vegan american food! Some classics in there and the milkshakes are insanely huge! Defo recommend if you want hearty unconventional vegan food!
E. T.
Extremely surprised by how much I absolutely love this place. I am not vegan nor vegetarian however it was my vegetarian friends birthday and this is where she wanted to go. I was dubious see items on the menu that were supposed to be like chicken or beef or cheese as a lot of these fake style products I have tried in the past just taste wrong but I went for it. I had the southern friend chicken style dippers, and the chips cheese and gravy. I LOVED it and would happily have eaten a second plate of everything! Genuinely looking forward to going back in the future!!
A. M.
The food here is tasty, but very excessive and heavy. I feel like every dish has so many extra toppings that it’s a bit much - personally, I feel with this sort of food that ‘less is more’.
Still a nice meal and I can imagine anyone who’s strictly vegan would enjoy having so much choice.
s. c.
Far out weighed my expectations. Expected good but got great. Food was ace and full of flavour and the staff were very welcoming and friendly with good guidance on the menu. Although I'm not yet Vegan this definitely swayed me to show how much option there actually is. I don't usually leave reviews but this definitely deserved a huge👍. I will for certain visit again.
B. B.
Absolutely delicious vegan junk food. My partner and I have been regularly for the last year and the only time I felt slightly disappointed was the doughnut burger.
The service is always friendly and quick, the food awesome and the weekly specials are often worth a visit just to try that alone
L. E.
Best vegan junk food I have ever had. Incredible service and definitely coming back. A great selection and it's just nice to be able to go somewhere and be able to order anything from the menu without questioning if it is vegan or if they can make it vegan. The frozen wine was delicious and if you are vegan and in Manchester this place is a must. It can get really busy so be sure to book a table if you know you will go.
R.
Amazing food and amazing service! Book in advance for the weekend, they get full quickly!
M. T.
My favourite restaurant in Manny. Always delicious and the portions are huge and so filling. Amazing that it is all vegan, the mac and cheese is so creamy and the Pesto mayo is delicious. I can't get enough!!! Decor is also really funky and great tunes. Always book ahead though.
A.
Delicious wide variety of vegan junk food at a great price. I recommend the loaded fries (any style), you may walk out absolutely stuffed but indulging is so worth it since the food here is so yummy! Adorable decor + explicitly labelled gender neutral toilets are a plus here too.
S. J.
Very fast service! I booked in advance and got seen to no problem. I originally planned to have the loaded tater tots but I was a bit shocked that it's only served on the brunch menu (please make this a dinner side too!) A few of the drinks have changed too, maybe a menu update/redesign should be on the table? (The buffalo fries were also very spicy for me, so an updated spice rating for those super intolerant to spice would also be great!) So I opted for a doughnut burger, which was nice eaten altogether in big bites, not so much deconstructed! Also found the 'beef' was *way* better than the 'chicken'. The milkshakes were absolutely delicious though, impossible to tell that they're dairy free!
S. M.
As someone who is a meat eater, I can see why vegans love this spot, however I'm not a big fan myself. I found the food was more to do with "how much heat can we put in to mask the taste of the tofu" rather than finding what else it could be flavoured with. The Mac and cheese wasn't great, there wasn't alot of flavour, and the texture was off-putting, the cheese was more like a thick wallpapers paste rather than a sauce. The fries however were really lovely, the space itself was very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. My vegan friends and veggie girlfriend were very impressed with the spot and really enjoyed their meal. I'm sure we'll be back again, I might just stick to the fries next time :).
A. B.
As a non-vegan, like several others who have reviewed, I can honestly say in my experience the food is fantastic.
I chose the Kevin Bacon (seitan "chicken") burger and it was beyond my expectation. I've tried several meat and cheese alternatives which I did not enjoy but in this case I was blown away by the flavour and texture of the food.
Staff are friendly and attentive and although it isn't stated in the description, they do serve beers/ciders etc if interested.
Highly recommended!
s.
So good! I wish I lived in Manchester just to visit here. The best milkshake of my life. The playlist is also great and the staff and decor are spot on. Nothing but praise and can't wait to visit again. Took a non-vegan friend who was as enthusiastic as me about the experience.
D. N.
The food came in healthy portions and was very tasty, though the loaded fries were a bit heavy on the sauces for my liking. The staff are very friendly and the prices were decent so very good value for money. I would come here again when looking for somewhere vegan
D. C.
Best burger, fries and milkshake I've eaten in aaaaaages (vegan or otherwise). Really tasty and filling with good sized portions.. Food on other tables looked equally as good. Really welcoming, friendly, laid-back (as in "pleasantly relaxed", not "lazy"!) staff. Seemed very busy for early evening on a Wednesday. Recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.
C. M.
I ordered a burger there a few months ago (it was the Kevin Bacon) and it was so tasty I still haven't forgotten it. The fake chicken in particular was tender and well seasoned. The fries were also very good.To be fair every burger I've had since tasted bland in comparison.
J. G.
The staff were extremely friendly and managed to slot us in despite being extremely busy. However, I had the "donut have a cow, man" burger with the buffalo fries and despite swapping the burger bun from a donut to a standard brioche bun, I found the burger, along with the BBQ sauce inside of it to be overly sweet and the fries were extremely salty to the point I had a sore mouth and lips. The staff get a 5/5 although the food is what let it down for me.
V. W.
A great place for those who want to try Vegan 'junk' food. Very creative and fun menu. Delicious! However, if you are more of a fresh vegetable, lean protein kind of vegan, this might not be the place that you're looking for. Service is really great though.
S. K.
Great food and atmosphere, toilets accessible via lift, corridors are mostly decently wide, had an issue with the emergency cord in the bathroom and the lift but the staff were amazing and seemed to genuinly care!
m. a.
Tasty food, good portions and great staff
J. W.
Who said vegan food is boring? Prepare to binge in the best possible way.
H. A.
Food is amazing!!? I'm not vegan but if I could recreate that myself at home I wouldn't ever feel like I'm missing something from my diet!! Staff are lovely! Only criticism... Cocktails are £8 each! A little steep!

Great place great food. Service was a little slow, not really their fault, just not well organised. it was the busiest place on the street. Food was delicious and good portion sizes, reasonably priced. Took 3 non vegan friends/family with me and they all enjoyed it bar one(who I think was just being stubborn as he eat all his meal.) Would definitely use again and can see why it won best vegan restaurant of 2016.

This place is great. It is really weird to be able to go somewhere and choose anyrhing off the menu. The buffalo loaded chips are some of the best chips I've ever had. We've been a few times since we first came a couple of months ago. Love their mac n cheese.

My partner and I were visiting her sister in Manchester. Coming from Devon we don't have many vegan restaurants. We were introduced to V Rev by her sister and it was absolutely incredible. The decor of the restaurant is incredible, it's so much different to usual restaurants! It was refreshing and a great change of atmosphere! The menu was full of incredible sounding foods, I found it so hard to pick one! I decided to get a shake whilst we chose our food! My god... It was incredible, nice thick and full of flavour! One of the best shakes I have had. We decided to get to platters of fries and a burger each (I have a terrible memories, so the names have evaded me!) my burger had bacon and crispy onions with the most amazing sauce, was like a baconaise. The burgers themselves were so good, a burger packed with so many flavours, the bacon was nice crispy and some of the best fake bacon I have had! The Fries were incredible, light and crispy. I was blown away with how tasty everything was. Safe to say I left with a full stomach! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Manchester! I really want to go back soon to get more V Rev! I highly recommend this restaurant to vegans, vegetarians and even non vegan/veggies, as the food is absolutely delicious and everyone needs to try it!

A bit hit and miss. Some of the dishes are great (mac and cheese, fries, milkshakes, desserts) but others are too greasy and leave me feeling bloated (chicken burgers are stodgy, mozzarella sticks and frickles greasy). The service can be very slow and inattentive, even at less busy times.
The decor and vibe is always great just wish there was more consistent quality across the menu.
N. G.
This place is awesome! Fantastic vegan food in a cool restaurant in an awesome area of the city. The servers are lovely - more than happy to help and the food and drink options are to die for. If you reading this review deciding whether to go, just do it! ......seriously why are you still reading.......Just go already! I'll probably see you there!!!
K. C.
Booked over the phone and was even able to move the time earlier. Super accommodating to this change and to a seating a family of 5 plus two dogs.
Flawless service - the waitress remembered the dogs' names and brought them water and complementary baked treats. 5 star customer service! The likes of elite establishments worldwide. Very grateful and impressed.
Menu offers an endless array of fascinating meals and drinks. So many different ways to enjoy V-Rev... Hot chocolates... Milkshakes... Cakes... Cocktails or a 3-Course meal. Food was delicious and waiting staff were helpfully knowledgeable about each dish. Bill was competitively priced - the experience was delightful and worth more than what we paid.
Thank you V-Rev. Can't wait to come again!

I myself am not vegan, however, alot of my friends are. I come here to dine with them and I gave been a few times, it's a rather lovely establishment and I would recommend if you want to go here, book in as its always bustling. Their "chicken" burgers are very good and any of their loaded fries are brilliant, I usually get the buffalo ones, cause I really like the Frank's sauce, and they use it perfectly. The prices are decent and they have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages, I can also recommend the "milk" shakes
Very good indeed

Always look forward to visiting V Rev, and always ready to recommend it to both vegans and meat eaters. Amazing food and service!
A. Q.
How do they do it? It's amazing how similar the taste is to actual meat. The burger was excellent, the Mac and cheese delicious. Went two times during our stay in Liverpool and would definitely come back again. Yummy.
E. T.
The food is awesome, unhealthy filling diner food but all vegan! They do milkshakes and cocktails too. Didn't give 5 stars as the service is ridiculous. They're victims of their own success really and could do with a bigger venue. It's always packed to the brim and you wait hours for a table. So worth it though.
A. C.
NOW UPDATED TO 5 STAR AS THEY HAVE A PROPER FULL MENU AND IT'S BRILL. Food is really good, I would say that it would be better if there were a few more options to chose from. We had a couple of picky eaters with us but everyone managed to find something they liked. The staff were really nice and it's pretty good value for money.
We booked in advance so got straight in, it looked like there was a bit of a wait if you just turned up.
T. D.
Bloody lovely food. The best milkshake (oh lord it is worth the investment trust me), burgers and mac and cheese ever put in me mouth.
The price is something to not be feared as the vibe is sick and the service is super speedy... not to mention the mood duh.
J. B.
Great staff. Great food. Great drinks. Southwest of heaven burger is an absolute treat, and the Mac and cheese is incredible. Bit too much Kanye West on the sound system, but perhaps like the rest of us they're hoping he can start making good music again.
M. K.
Good effort on the range of vegan options available and what we had was nice enough. However - i cant help but feel this page is trying a bit too hard to do meatless meat. The"beef" and "chicken" burgers are a bit too dense and protein heavy. Good vegan food stands on its own and doesn't need to try to be meat to convince people. That said - it's the format the place is going for as a diner so i shouldn't be surprised.
C. R.
The place is a real treasure for vegan/vegetarian community. People flock from far to eat there, and for good reason.
The food is good, and their menu, once expansive has now been stripped down. It is leaner, but still strong.
All vegan, with a great vibe. LGBT+ inclusionary atmosphere.
Prices need balancing a little, but are acceptable.
They service at times is perfect, and at others is not the quickest. It is clear that they are always very busy and that being off their feet from day 1 has led to a few growing pains. I would not hold it against them.
I've taken numerous non-vegan people there, and have had varied receptions, yet always from good to great. All have been happy with the place.
H. P.
So this a very good vegan diner. Most of their burgers I think are on the expensive side at £14, but they are jaw breakers and you will be left full after eating them, so you get what you pay for which is a lot of burger. Both the seitan chicken and beefy patties were tasty and convincingly savory and the topping were excellent too. My one criticism is the buns are a little on the dry side. Emo ambiance with background music that will make you relive your teenage years. Friendly staff.
N. N.
As a meat eater trying to cut down on meat consumption. I personally didnt love it. The beef patty tasted fine but the actual burger wasnt great.
Also the prices are INSANE. The minimum youre gonna be paying for a burger alone is £9-13. The milkshakes are £4-6
Also theres no way youll be seated without a reservation.
This might be ideal for vegans but as a meat eater i didnt love it.
B.
First of all, the food was very nice. The fries were great and the cookie and cream shake was AMAZING. Pricing was fair, drinks were cheap, and the toilets were very clean. I have given 4 stars and not 5 for two reasons: the service was not good at all - we were not seated, we were not given cutlery and the bill was just placed on our table without a word before we had even asked for it. I'd have appreciated being told the total and asked how I'd like to pay. That said, the staff were all very friendly but in my opinion the music was too loud - I was unable to talk to my partner without shouting.
O. P.
The food is delicious and the staff are very happy and friendly.
J. M.
Really good food (for vegans, haha)! Nice atmosphere, pretty quickly served, not too much oppressive vibes you get from most vegan places. I'd recommend, especially the mac n cheese!
M. L.
Great burgers and sides. Ate far too much here because there were too many good choices. Would recommend the mac and cheese sticks. Would also recommend booking ahead as it can get busy. The staff were clearly very busy but made time to make sure everything was good and get feedback from us on new menu items. Can't wait to go back.
K.
First time going here with my best mate. She's vegan, I'm not. But I didn't miss meat at all. Lovely food. Wish I had space for dessert - would have loved to have tried them - I guess this means another visit!
N.
Always finish my plate here, even when I'm full. Can never get enough of the loaded chips! Love the music they play and the art. Never had a bad experience, 10/10 would recommend.
P. S.
Wow. The burgers here are absolutely amazing. I took a friend along with me who isn't vegan and he could not believe the beef patty wasn't made from meat. Excellent food guys. Well done.
D. L.
Before I start I want to say, I am usually a meat eater. I ordered the 'chickn', avocado and cool dressing burger. It was delicious! The loaded fries with avocado and southwest dressing were tasty too. However, I found the cheese not to my tasting, and the mozzarella sticks went mostly uneaten too. Great staff and would definitely go again.
P. M.
I’ve been to many vegan restaurants and coming from London I wasn’t too sure if I could trust it. But the food was PERFECT! I had the Oreo Milkshake and the Keenan & Kale. Talk about nostalgic! The restaurant looks great too, super modern and the service was GREAT. It’s pretty accessible too!
E. W.
Incredible, the new building is such an upgrade. Wasn't aware about reservations (as they didn't need them in the old building), but only had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The staff were so lovely. The food was amazing quality, I couldn't get enough. AND THE SMOOTHIES OH MY GOODNESS. I will be going here every time I visit Manchester.
M. V. H.
I can't tell you how amazing it is to go to a place and have the freedom to pick anything off a menu! I do wish they had more 'chicken' options though. This place is worth a try vegan or not. I recomend you get the buffalo fries. My only problem was that I wish I knew about the back seating area as that would have been preferable as my guest had anxiety issues.
M. K.
The most incredible vegan diner experience in the North. Forward thinking in flavour and restauranting.
K. o.
As a new vegan (only 6 weeks) this place came at a time where my wife and I were starting to get bored of vegan food. Then we came to V Rev. Awesome milkshakes, burgers were great and lovely fries. Like Almost Famous for people of a sound ecological mind!
C. P.
The beefy burgers are great but the chicken style burgers weren't to my friends taste due to it being quite a chewy texture so not very enjoyable. Wouldn't order that again. However the mozzarella sticks were very nice and would recommend.
A. L.
Amazing. The two of us turned up at lunchtime on a Sunday with no booking and got a table in about 40 minutes after enjoying a coffee Inn the window. The beyond burger was absolutely wonderful and so were the fries. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Manchester
C. O.
Really nice, top quality food and drinks, service bang on
G.
Great food, cute names. Quick staff. Cool drink options. Food was definitely shareable. Definitely a place for any vegan to try out and bring their meat eating friends
K. H.
We were really looking forward to this meal after a rather fruitlesw trawl around the xmas markets for vegan things. It did not disappoint! It was so lovely to have a whole menu to choose from and the food came really quickly. The staff were very friendly and the whole place had a nice vibe. We will defo be back!
M. W.
Am no vegan - but loved this place. Proper dirty fast food for the vegan / veggie in your life. Great concept, really we'll done. Full on diner style interior is a nice touch - metal soundtrack didn't even piss me off. Try it. Even if you're not in the club, might surprise you.
P.
The food was amazing, not somewhere you dress up for, it's a casual type of restaurant but their food is definitely good.
M. J.
I visited V Revs this week for the third time and found myself just as conflicted as after my first two visits. The food here is incredible - a day later we were both still talking about how incredible our burgers were. Manchester is lucky to have a place like V Revs serving such excellent vegan food. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and the menu is wide ranging and reasonably priced. However, the service has really let the place down on the three occasions when I have visited. On this visit, we had intended to stay for desert, but the service was so slow that we decided to leave and go elsewhere- despite there being around 5 members of staff in the area where we were sitting they appeared to be chatting to each other rather than working and it was very difficult to get anyone's attention. Our food was very slow in coming out, our drinks order was forgotten, we couldn't get anybody's attention to order desert and the waitresses didn't seem to know who was looking after which table which caused a bit of duplication and confusion. The couple next to us also had their order come out wrong. The staff we spoke to were all very personable and friendly, but the place seemed very disorganised which is such a shame as the food really is great. At the end of the day, I would still go again and hope that they are able to improve the service, and would still recommend the food to friends.
L. R.
Was made aware of this place ahead of our arrival to Manchester. When we arrived (mid afternoon Saturday) we were surprised to be told that they were fully booked until 8pm! So make sure you book ahead or have some flexibility. I see several poor reviews because of being turned away, but that is hardly their fault!
Luckily we could return the next day, and admittedly after a wait that was a little bit too long (about an hour!) Amazing amazing food arrived. The portions are generous and we ended up taking some away in a doggy bag!
TLDR: Long wait to get fantastic food, and it can be a faff to get a table, but we'll worth it when it arrived.
W. R.
Fantastic food! My goodness, absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised, it really is incredible! I recomend the loaded fries and the buffalo chicken sandwich with bacon. Wowzers! Deserves 6 stars, great beer too and great staff. I'll be going back!
A. L.
AMAZING food!!! Good value for money, lovely staff, and cute decor ❤️
M. A.
Surprisingly good! I’m not a vegan and I always find vegan options boring but this place did not dissapoint! Great vibe and staff are friendly but the food took too long. I liked the mac n cheese but not the chicken burger
C. S.
This place is amazing! The food is DELICIOUS. I'm a part time veggie, and the thought of no cheese always put me off... But this place has the best 'Mozzarella' sticks ive ever eaten! Such a chill vibe, good music and friendly staff :-) couldn't recommend enough and cant wait dir my next visit. Thanks V Revs!!
B. C.
Great atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff and most importantly super yummy vegan junk food!
D. N.
Just had dinner here and really enjoyed it. Super full now. Had the chicken burger with loaded poutine fries 🍟 yum 😋 the cookie and cream milkshake was also really good. Would recommend when you are looking for vegan unhealthy fast food, not when you are looking for something healthy.
R. C.
The burger I had was really nice, although the buffalo fries were so salty they made me wince.
Good service, really busy though so it's best to book a table! The staff managed to get us a table even though it was packed.
L. S.
Amazing vegan food! You can't get any better elsewhere (believe me I've looked) fairly fast service and the staff are absolutely lovely too! Definitely recommend! (Decor is pretty cool too)
R. D.
I loved this place so much I went twice in one day! Food was incredible, service was really friendly, and I left a very happy customer!
K. A.
First visited this place when it had recently opened - I was impressed with the feel, the service and the selection/quality of the food. Fast forward to recently and the atmosphere was near non existent, the service lifeless, the menu reduced and quality was down.
Prices remained the same though.
Tip: if they offer you to double up on a burger, do it, you might miss it otherwise.
A. P. Á.
I went twice to V-Rev and it was a 10. The place is lovely and the stuff as well. The food is just amzing; delicious and good portions. If I lived in Manchester I'd go every week. Very recommended 💞
R. B.
The food is ok, I had the Kevin Bacon with buffalo fries and mozzarella sticks. The cheese in the mozzarella sticks is very sickly, that coupled with the cheez on the fries was a bit much for me. The buffalo sauce was delicious though, without the added cheez I would have finished the lot! The chick'n in the burger was tasty, the baecon not so much.
The staff are lovely and make the place.
I. S.
Best vegan place in Manchester. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed and chill. Make sure to book as it is popular and tables get booked up fast. Don't h8 if you can't get a seat.
B. A.
The burgers taste great but they are too full. The sauce and fillings slop out the side and you have not proper plate so it gets messy and hard to eat. Still nice though. The shakes are amazing.
E.
Cheap vegan fast food. They're very creative with their burgers which makes them a cut above a standard vegan café; they have daily specials in addition to their set menu. I had the burger from the set menu that was chicken, cheese and peanut butter, and it was absolutely delicious. If I lived closer I'd go every day. One issue is that they were playing loud metal music which I know fits in with their alternative vibe but it's not what we wanted to listen to while we were eating. Also would prefer fries to tortilla chips
W. F.
I don't usually eat vegan food or go to vegan restaurants. But the whole meal was a very interesting experience. It's not that bad and tastes good. If you're new to V Rev I recommend the vegan chicken burger as your first vegan burger, before trying the vegan beef.
M. B.
The Whopper burger is lovely but the 'double double' size is not for the faint hearted. The loaded fries are awesome. Very friendly, helpful staff. Make sure you book as it's always busy.
C. H.
The new V Revs is awesome, I had heard they were having teething problems with there new premises but when I was there the other day, it was amazing! The staff were friendly, the artwork on the walls is awesome! And the food! Omg! Peanut Butter and Banana burger, words cannot describe that amazing taste combo! Highly recommend this place.
A. C.
So I went with my Vegan friends. Started off with a Milkshake, so delicious it didn't last 5 minutes. Main food arrives; was eating the loaded chips and thought "Wow this cheese is great", I was loving it. It wasn't until the end of the evening that I had the revelation it wasn't actual cheese, nor was it actual milk I was consuming. It tasted so good, didn't even get that sense of fakeness you had with quorn products back in late 2000s.
Tl:Dr thought I was eating non-vegan stuff like normal until I remembered I was in a specifically vegan restaurant
A. W.
Love V Rev. Went for lunch today and the food was amazing and incredibly filling. Still stuffed and will be skipping dinner! The buffalo loaded fries are lush. Also love the "chicken" burgers. I haven't taken my dog yet, but I also adore the fact that V Rev is dog friendly.
G. F.
Decent veggie fast food, good service
J. L.
I feel conflicted giving V Rev a three star review. On the one hand I love V Rev, and everything they stand for in terms of ethics. I love what they're trying to do with vegan food, and myself and my girlfriend go there a lot. Plus, the desserts are the best.
However, it's too hit and miss. While the food is nice, it too often comes out at luke warm temperature, and I can only think of one time out of the last seven visits when the food has come out hot.
Price is also an issue. As above, the food is nice, but when independent competitors are offering nice vegan food at a cheaper price, in premises which are just as big or bigger, paying nearly £9 for a burger, and expensive cost of extra fries, which I'm guessing come from frozen, is hard to stomach, although this hasn't necessarily put me off.
Now the staff. The manager and owner is great. The waiter Alex is also great. He always takes the time to say hello to us, talk to us and remembers our faces, which is always welcome. Generally, the staff have mostly been warm and welcoming. However, on a few occasions we've had 3 or 4 members of staff, rather than just one dedicated member of staff, see to our table, and they have often gotten confused as to where we are with our order because other staff have done other things, and this doesn't seem to have been communicated. Additionally, some things such as fetching a menu, which should take 30 seconds to a minute max, have taken 10 minutes, with staff disappearing. Recently, an employee brought the card machine for me to pay, which should have taken a minute. They ended up wandering off, and the next time I saw them they were changing a bin liner, so payment took 5 minutes.
All in all, I do love V Rev and myself and my girlfriend will keep frequenting in the hope it gets better and better, which I'm sure it will. But, I can't help but feel slightly disappointed every time I come away from it.
M. D.
Spacious, well decorated and lit floorplan allowing for an enjoyable dining experience. The menu - entirely vegan - will sooth even the most ardent "carnivore" with succulent seitan chicken and beef burgers. The traditional diner menu will satisfy all young and old. Highly recommend booking tables in advance as, due to it's warranted popularity, it's often fully booked.
I. J.
I've been here a lot, and the food is some of the best I've had in my entire life, period. The atmosphere is nice, though on busy days it can feel a bit claustrophobic, so I try to avoid that. Still, this place deserves all the praise it can get for offering such a great variety of delicious food and really friendly staff.
s. r.
The best vegan junk food. Topped fries are a must, sweet treats are always delicious, good drinks too. Staff are friendly and the service was pretty good considering it was super busy.
G. K.
Delicious! If you don't fancy animal products, but you like a good burger, this is the place for you.
Menu is very good. Not too many possitions, but every single one there is, is a cracker!
Lovely cheez on chips.
Top notch drinks.
A. G.
The new recipe for chicken burgers is amazing. The friendly staff are always more than happy to accommodate our cat at a window seat. Even non-vegans we've taken love the place.
N. R.
As a "plant based"-curious carnivore I'm happy to say that this was a v tasty experience. I have misgivings about veggie food aping meaty equivalents but the witty menu exceeded expectations in the form of the Whopper Flocka Flame double which was very tasty and was both texturally and visually very similar to a meaty equivalent from one of the high street burger places. The Buffalo Ranch loaded fries were a bit less successful, albeit still very tasty, being a bit heavy on bitter and vinegary flavours to my liking.
Overall though a very enjoyable experience not least due to v friendly and attentive, yet relaxed, waiting staff and equally friendly clientele (Are vegans friendlier as a group? Discuss).
Hope to return soon with my vegetarian wife who is rarely, if ever, presented with the option of choosing from a range of non-meaty burgers. Bravo V Rev!
D. A.
The staff know how to treat a customer, they are incredibly attentive and polite.
The food is ouyr of this world! Like I said to a waitor yesterday the perfect description for this place is it's a Vegan Almost Famous .
I will definitely be back :)
Thanks all staff at V-Rev
A. M.
My favourite place to eat in town. The Whopper Way to Make a Livin' with Buffalo fries haunt my dreams. They are, as I believe the kids say, 'peng ting'. Staff are friendly and it's got a great atmosphere and music. Plus nobody died for your food so that's good!
M. O. T. M.
first proper vegan meal ive had and it was lovely. "chicken" salad..
P. B.
Wow! Fantastic burger and loaded fries. Tasty or what!!
M. G.
Small and very busy. Best to book a table though we did get lucky as we just walked in. The food can take a while but is worth the wait. I wasn't too keen on the mac'n'cheeze but the not hot dogs are so good.
K. A.
The food is top is its class and proved that vegan food doesn't have to be "rabbit food"! The service is friendly and the atmosphere is trendy and cool. Overall definitely great value for money, will go again and will recommend!
B. H.
Had to prompt a server to take our order after being seated for about 30 minutes. Food was good but took around an hour to arrive, which for a couple burgers and a basket of fries was a bit disappointing.
As they're quite new I think they're just finding their feet, so I'll be back to sample the other menu items in the new year.
Couldn't fault the atmosphere and the friendly staff though.
E. W.
Went in for my first carb loaded vegan munching sesh with my fab friend who's on a vegan kick.
Always on the look out for V foods generally and as I'm new to the area, took the opportunity to pop by and get stuck in. As you can see from the pics, it went down a storm.
We were lucky with the last seat by the door so a bit squished in but that was fine.
Our waiter was a dude and helpful with the recommendations as we were having a hard time choosing from the extensive menu. Shared a half a special and half an elvis burger each. Glad i tried it but probabaly not as big a fan as hot banana and pickle as I thought?!
I'll try and engage my pudding stomach next time but no promises...
Took a fair while to get attention to get our bill and we were kinda left to it after the initial order was taken though so I'd appreciate a bit better service, but for my first visit I was stuffed and happy:)
K.
As a vegetarian I liked the concept and the quirkyness of the place. Wide range of cocktails which was good. The atmosphere was nice and staff were plesent could be more chatty and interative. The food was ok if youre just trying it out. I personally dont think its a place you go to eat often. Vegan meat is a hit and miss, this place in my opinion missed it.
a. c.
Always tasty food, reasonable wait time (although I usually go at busy periods). Prices are cheap when you consider going to a normal restaurant, they charge silly amounts for it to be veggie/vegan. I just wish they had a better drinks menu.
N. J.
Good, however very filling, vegan food! Staff is really nice but service is a bit slow. The mock meats are good - though the food can be really heavy. Decent beers available too.
c. j. c.
favorite place to eat in manchester. seriously. I stop by literally every time I'm in the city because this diner is so insanely good. their breakfast choices, lunch, dinner, the incredible milkshakes? if you think vegan food limits the variety to sandwiches and salad, try this diner
C. M.
First visit for my anniversary with my wife. Staff very nice, laid back and friendly. Food was totally a dream come true! While we have come a long way from nutloaf and vegetable lasagna with great vegetarian restaurants like Greens. Some of us just want to stick a big burger in our face, and not settle for the usual suspects like a bean burger. V archives this in spectacular fashion with a small but well prepared menu. Definitely my new favourite place to eat! The Buffalo Fries and Whoppa Flocka Flame double are a killer combination, and i would recommend them to anyone!!!
L. W.
Went out due to being forced more than anything else. Im not a vegan, but for someone that is i can only imagine its top quality.
Food actually surprised me a lot on how good it passed for the real deal, lots of choice and the mozzarella dippers tasted better than the real thing couldnt stop eating more of them.
S. H.
Great vegan food. I wish they still did the simples like a hot dog with ketchup mustard and crispy onion bits. And i wish they had popcorn chicken :-) and why don't the hotdogs come with chips but the burgers do? Buttermilk chicken is tasty but not quite up to Temple of Seitan standards :-)
Friendly people and staff and nice environment too. Gender neutral toilets as they all should be but there's been a broken toilet seat for months now. Also the staff are friendly and nice but don't seem amazing at being efficient and helpful. You often have to ask repeatedly to pay. They seem to always forget to give you cutlery then spend 3mins getting it for you while your food sits in front of you etc.
S. &. B. O.
Samantha and I just eat their Seitan burger. Best tasting healthy burger we've ever had. The reasonable price is a bonus. Good atmosphere and great food.
A. D.
Really enjoyed our meal there last night - was a really great burger and the staff were super friendly and great service. Would recommend for choice, food, staff and location. Thank you.
K. M.
Awesome 'dirty vegan' food combined with really good service
M. M.
Delicious vegan burgers and some top craft beers all for reasonable prices - what's not to love?
a. e.
Great restaurant, everything is vegan and all tastes lovely, has gluten free burgers too. Great atmosphere and all good is reasonably priced!
M. D.
A perfect place to discover new flavours as a non vegan. I was surprised by how similar it was to a traditionnal recipe (I had a Burger) tastewise and also how good it was. I would also advise to try the Ranch fries, that are really good and tasty.
As a non vegan, I recommand and look forward to going back here with my girlfriend.
C. A.
A good range of options at very fair prices: as someone who's been vegan their entire adult life, v rev lets me indulge in the kind of food I'd never even had before: loaded fries, tall shakes- it's truly a cheat meal kinda place!
My only critique is that there are way too many seats crammed in there. It can get very cosy very quickly. I'd also think it's fair to say the waiting staff are a bit too relaxed as well: it's taken me over 10 minutes just to get a glass of water, sometimes, and I've had to ask multiple times for cutterlry on more than one visit, sadly. Though I have to say, the staff are pleasant with that aside, if a bit quiet.
I'd also encourage them to get more desserts out in time for the lunch rush: most options don't come out until later in the day which is a shame if like me you try to go earlier to avoid how cramped it can be. If your vegan or interested in trying plant based fast food style items, I'd 10/10 reccomend.
J. D.
Nice atmosphere but we were sat in a corner room while it wasn't too busy so we felt a bit forgotten. Food was good, portion size good for what you pay, and choice of vegan-milks for their shakes as well
T. B.
Absolute GO TO place for any vegans in/visiting Manchester. Great on the go cheap meal. Probably been there 10 times this year, very consistent and the juice options are all amazing!
thanks
c. h.
Came here last week for the first time with a friend and I have to say what a great place this is, clean fantastic service form the young lady and really fun querky menu they have with a good few option.
We ordered 2 different style hotdogs with all the extras on top and 2 different style of fries again fully loaded with all the extras. I have to say the food was absoulty amazing, as someone who is not a fully fledged remember of the Vegan lifestyle as yet I could not tell the difference in taste, texture even the smells off the dog were spot on.
Let the owner before we left and congratulated him and wish himself and the rest of the staff all the success in the world.
We will definitely be back again. And even ifyiu are not a vegan or a vegy, trust me you want to eat here. It might just make you think twice.

Not great, but not terrible i guess. We ordered a hotdog and a burger and couldn't tell which was which when they arrived. They both consisted of slices of 'meat' on a barm cake, not really a burger and definitely not a hotdog by any description! Tasted ok-ish, a bit stodgy and bland... chips were nice. The restaurant itself was nice, good atmosphere, nice decor etc... But overall, disappointing. We don't plan to go again.

I had a burger that used sugared doughnuts as the burger bun! Amazing! Have eaten here more than 10 times and will continue to go back whenever I'm out and in the area. Great for curious nonvegans too!

Great food , great prices , lovely staff. What's not to like.

I'm not a vegan, but the food there was really good! My friend is vegan and allergic to onion, and they were really accommodating and made her something special. Would recommend for tasty meals and great service.

They offer an amazing variety of food. Tastes so good you won't believe it's vegan!!!
Service is excellent and the food arrived surprisingly fast!!

The best vegan fast food I've ever had! Crispy batter on the "chicken" wings and incredible vegan cheese...!!! Can't wait to go back.

Amazing place, lovely staff and incredible food.
My favourite has to be the Jerry Zinger, honestly if you're looking for a vegan fried chicken this is the place to go, it's phenomenal!!!

Absolutely amazing, the most delicious food ever.

Vegan American style diner. Amazing milkshakes. Love having so much choice.
C. D.
The best vegan diner around!! Simples....
J. M.
After a lot of raving from friends I made the trip. The food didn't really live up to the hype. But I definitely recommend their milkshakes. I would like to go and try out more food on the menu though.

Nice setting with good vegan food.

The food at V Rev is fantastic. My girlfriend and I ordered the "Barbecute without the 'E'" burger, which was nothing short of delicious.
It's incredibly liberating to visit a restaurant and be able to order absolutely anything off the menu. It's a shame that they had run out of desserts when we visited, because we would have loved to try one.
We will definitely be back to V Rev!

Where there isn't a bizarre attempt to have fake meat going on, things are very good. The fries are delicious and they have a great range of high quality bottles beers.
Food is mostly an authentic vegan equivalent of low quality fast food but without the cheap prices, complete with plastic American cheese and tinned hotdogs. Avoid the burgers unless you love eating soggy bread with a hint of vinegar.

This is one of my favourite Vegan restaurants around. I absolutely loved the food, the feel of the restaurant and the staff were incredible. Make sure to reach in good time because there's a wait (it's always packed) and they close the kitchen at 9. I had the Barbecute without the e, the jerry zinger and the buffalo fries (I had help 😂). This is a fantastic place and I'd come every time I'm in Manchester.
They also have no phone number but they're wonderfully active on Twitter and Instagram, so ask any questions there for a quick response!

It was a lovely place. Loved the atmosphere of the place. The staff were lovley.

The food was delicious I personally enjoy meat so it was something very different to what I would normally have, I thoroughly enjoyed the pesto chicken burger the flavours worked really well. The service was good except for one server, he was a little rude.

Amazing good, excellent collection of music playing, a fantastic fun experience

Honestly the best vegan place I’ve ever been to, would recommend the mac & cheez + chckn tenders. Reasonable prices for the portion sizes, service was also lovely + the interior was really cool.
Will *definitely* return when we’re next in manchester!

Amazing food and great service. The gent in there who serve is could not have been more helpful. V rev is a breath of fresh air for those who fancy something different. It was nice to see/hear that non vegans eat there too.

Lovely staff and food, the menu and ordering system didn't work.
A. H.
The food is incredible!! The atmosphere is chill! Can’t fault anything, will be hard not to go back every day for more! Definitely recommend the mozzarella sticks, I couldn’t get enough of them
T. H.
Good food! Burrito was unreal!
Friendly staff and they have a full wall of dog photos.. what's not to love!
C. L.
Food was great, well presented and fresh. Fries portion was on the small size. Service was really slow, especially given how small the place is and wait staff seemed generally bored.
H. P.
Delicious. Maybe a tad pricey for diner style food but worth it for the location and the quality of the food. If you're veggie/vegan or even just interested I'd definitely recommend!
F. R.
Amazing vegan junk food, I love this place! Plenty of seating. Gender neutral toilets ❤️ Good for a group meal out but also quick enough to visit in your lunch hour 😀
T. M.
Fantastic dining experience yet again! If you know you're going, try and book in advance. If not, have your order written down, because it can get really busy! Every item on the menu is delicious, so be adventurous~
A.
Amazing choice and amazing food. It's so nice to go into a restaurant and have a huge choice of options, as a vegan it comes few and far between! Love it!
A. B.
Mmmm, this place felt like a step back for me in trying to be a more conscious eater. I'm not veggie or vegan but I am trying to reduce my meat consumption and take more responsibility for what I eat and understanding what's in it. The food tasted ok, no way near as good as the real meat thing and no way near as good as a proper crafted veggie or vegan meal.
S. C.
This is a vibrant and bustling place to eat well made Vegan food. It gets very busy in the evenings so would recommend booking. They make great cocktails too.
H. S.
Amazing vegan restaurant in the Northern Quarter. As a vegan, i'm tired of falafel wraps. V rev has delicious food, friendly staff happy to chat to you and it's pet friendly too.I can't wait to go back here.
W. H.
Loved it! Squeezed us in with no reservation even though they were packed and booked up. The food was class and the service was great. Everyone was really pleasant and helpful. All in all a great experience.
Z. H.
Great selection of vegan grub at regular prices. Burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches. Open long hours. Usually pretty busy so worth booking ahead. Only complaint would be the amount chill and cheese you get with both the chips and the hotdogs. Bit stingy.
J. C.
Love the place. The food is amazing and imaginative. Would be 5 stars but there's several times I've not even been able to get in, so that's the only negative with it for me.
S. D.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Lovely food and lovely people :)
j. p.
Definitely coming back here. It's right up my street. The burgers aren't your usual cheap prices but it does taste good. It's not a massive place so a drive early or be ready to order take out.
T. H.
Wanted to love it, decor was great and lovely vibe, food wasn't so great. It was bland and with not great textures. The 'beef style' patty was as thinner than a pound coin and I couldn't detect its flavour. The Mac and cheese I am 90% sure was PVA glue mixed with nooch, very gloopy and not at all creamy. Also had a chicken style burger which was better flavour but the texture was spongy. I was told this was the best vegan place in Manchester, if that's true, poor Manc vegans. We didn't have any but the milkshakes looked amazing, would go back and try something other than the burgers to give it a second chance though.
D. M.
Staff were friendly but services was really slow, I wanted, so much for this amazing but it just wasn't and I was pretty disappointed.
The food was average at best but there were a lot of options so obviously I didn't get to try them all.
I would go back just to see what the other things taste like and it's fairly new so I don't want to judge too harshly as they may be adjusting.

Quite boring, trying to recreate an American Diner, the food didn't fulfil this remit really. It was pretty tasteless and really could have been so much more. Don't try to be a diner, show how GOOD vegan food can be. The Tea Time Collective in Hulme really had this spot on! Don't get me wrong, it was nice enough, just not really as good as I was expecting, Would breve thought the recent resurgence in 'hipster' penchant for trying to offer more artisan products. This just felt like it was out to make money, no offence, trying a bit too hard to be cool and forgetting to have the food, not the decor, do the talking. Sadly the a Northern Quarter's a bit too much like this generally these days, more concerned with looking good.

Have been going to V Rev for years (since they were in their old location), and the food is absolutely amazing! I cannot explain how good their Seitan Chcken is! The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, at a great price. Potentially my fav place in the world! My boyfriend is a meat eater and even he loves it! Smiles all round everytime! But PLEASE bring back the Satay Away! 🙏🏼
S. R.
Always love coming to V Rev. When you want dirty vegan junk food, it’s perfect. Loads of choice. Food tastes great. Lovely staff. It’s a bit expensive. But we’re talking NQ here. So it’s to be expected. Go vegan!!

Awesome vibe great food 😁

Very chilled, nice atmosphere. Great menu with simple selection of food, but super tasty. The loaded fries were a great addition.
I will be going back to try more every time I come up to manchester.

I absolutely love V Rev! Never had a bad meal there - prices are reasonable, menu very creative (the Fre Sha Voca Do burger made me chuckle) and staff friendly. Portions are ginormous. I would suggest to book a table as it is usually super busy. Always looking forward to go back there. 10/10.

Love it. Having only stopped eating meat a couple of years ago, this really really hits the spot.
F. M.
Amazing vegan options! the staff is super nice and friendly. I loved this place! It would be nice if the switched plastic straws for reusable ones.
N. F.
Lovely food especially the chocolate orange tart with salted caramel ice cream and everything 100% vegan. Friendly happy staff made our visit just perfect. Thank you. 🌻
K. H.
The best vegan restaurant around. You'll never find loaded fries that are as good anywhere. A great atmosphere, great staff and above all the tastiest food!
D. E.
Nice little independent place.
I was slightly disappointed with my burger but the coffee was absolutely delicious. I loved how there were lots of vegan things for sale. Would definitely go back
B. M.
Excellent vegan dining! The realest fake meat I've ever eaten. It was refreshing to have a whole menu of vegan options rather than just two or three.

Amazing vegan food, with so many great options. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Can't wait to go again.

I tried to think of some adjectives to describe this place but I couldn't. It was that good. If we didn't live in South West England we would be back every week. Amazing place, Incredible Food and lovely staff. Must visit in Manchester.

Not great. Vegan buttermilk chicken burger was like leather. Waiter brought wrong drinks and argued with us when we asked for them to be replaced with non alcoholic drinks.
