M. G.I had a day off with my partner today and decided to pop into wagamama for a quick bite.
I'm so glad we did. Firstly, the menu is 50% plant based. There is literally a vegan dish available for every meat dish, and you can really taste how much work has gone into making each dish mimic its meat counterpart.
For starters, I got the vegan chilli 'squid' (lightly battered pulled king oyster mushrooms. shichimi. sticky dipping sauce with fresh chilli+ coriander) now one of the things I really miss since becoming vegan (nearly three years ago) is fish but this dish totally has the same tough, chewy feel of squid. The batter is lovely and light and no sign of excess oil, just beautifully crisp.
My partner got the sticky vegan 'ribs' (mushroom + soya protein ‘ribs’. sweet + spicy sticky sauce. sesame seeds. spring onion) and again the dish has the chewy, tender meat feel to it and the marinade was delicately rich, not over powering at all or sickly.
For the main, I got no duck donburi (shredded seitan + shiitake mushrooms in a cherry hoisin sauce. edamame beans. kimchee. coconut + sriracha vegan ‘egg’ made in collaboration with gaz oakley. cucumber. spring onion. chillies. coriander. sesame seeds. Brown rice). It is a full-on dish, and everything gels together so well, just the right portion of each, so nothing over powers the other. Even the vegan egg was surprisingly good and very clever, just a bit on the soft side, but that's forgiven as it is made from coconut.
My partner got the teriyaki vegan 'chicken’ ramen (seasoned soya protein in a spicy teriyaki sauce. udon noodles. sweetcorn. bok choi. chilli sambal paste. spring onion. chilli. coriander. chilli oil. vegetable broth) the soya protein tasted rich but a bit chewy, almost like pork. My partner enjoyed every part of this dish apart from the udon noodles, which there was a lot of.
For dessert, I got the banana katsu (banana in crispy panko breadcrumbs. miso caramel ice cream. Toffee sauce) absolutely divine, you must try!
My partner had the chocolate orange cake (flourless chocolate orange cake. Miso caramel ice cream) reluctantly shared a bit with me and said he could eat another, so that pretty speaks for itself, lol.
For drinks we ordered the ginger 'no-jito' really fresh and spicy and helped cleanse the pallet after each dish and of course we got the mandatory glass of water.
The service was ace and super friendly, with great insight from the staff into the different dishes and giving recommendations 👍🏼
I asked if they did cooking classes, which unfortunately they don't, but it was recommended I have a look on YouTube and search wagamama Steve, and guess what...that's exactly what I'm going to do .

N.The best firecracker prawns I've ever had, I asked for them to be extra spicy and the chef delivered. Customer service was perfect everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to go back.
E. C.The Tantanmen Beef Brisket Ramen is amazing!! I get it every time. I usually get the spicy broth but for those who don't like spicy food I'm sure the regular broth is just as fantastic. The Kimchi is really well made and compliments all the other flavors so well.

Just went yesterday (Jan 2022), better sized meals, very impressed!
D. A.I have been on Wagamama on Tuesday and it is not supposed to the busiest day of the week. There was no queue and we had the possibly to sit quickly. The selection of menu was limited as we were not able to order some juices that were out of stock. The meals not being halal offered limited choices , mainly between vegetarian option and some dishes with salmon. We ordered three dishes and got served after 12/15 mins . The food was good and we opted for the dessert. At this stage I order a reika coconut ice cream but got served with a different variety of ice cream , I found a piece of hard plastic of the size of 1 and a half cm in the ice cream and called the manager to take the adequate steps.
He apologized and offered us a new dish of ice cream , I further escalated the issue by completing a complaint form.
This is the second time I am going there and everytime I l have found some issues.

Good value but not the cheapest with hard bench seats and had a few minor service issues.
(Mix up and wait over asking for gluten free menu. Dificulty reading the very small print on menu items. Learnt that the bold numbers next to the energy values is the price with no £ symbol. Mistakenly tried to order a starter, but they only do sides as the food arrives when its ready. Missed request for a drink refill. Tried paying online via table number but gave up as unpreppared it was going to ask for online banking username. Paid via old fashioned card in the end.)

We were looked after by Rafael who was very friendly and attentive, service was quick and efficient. Will deffo be coming back and would 100% recommend. Nothing negetive to say!

The chain has revised its vegan and vegetarian options by dedicating an entire sub-menu, don't forget to ask for it if its not offered. Great variety of choice of Asian inspired dishes. The place is often busy (evenings when I've been), seating is good inside or out in my opinion. Relaxed atmosphere with a genuine desire from staff to make you feel welcome.
M. B.I have never been here before and wow this was just amazing.
To start with they had a separate vegan menu which was so appetizing. I had a most delicious green juice drink. The sides of cauliflower and tempura vegetables were delicious and so fresh and very hot. We were Sat right next to the kitchen and could see everything that was going on.
I had a tofu ramen for my main which was tasty and spicy.
My partner had skewers and duck for his main.
We were both full after and I have never had a better vegan meal. Thank you

The quality of the food was really superior to other Asian restaurants and along with the service and restaurant decor it must be one of my favs now! If unsure about the food the servers will explain and ask questions to to ensure you get your choices right! - been again and the service was excellent and the food is just wonderful. Issue with later starter coming however they redeemed themselves. So five out of five again!
D. T.It was my wife's birthday and we decided to go to wagamama. We ordered beer and in food I ordered Teppanyaki Noodles but with Chicken and wife ordered Teppanyaki Noodles with Salmon. We ordered a starter too which was Gyoza stuffed chicken. We ordered some baby food which was really in very good quantity, it was Mini Ramen. Food was delicious and good quantity. The food is amazing and got it in 10 mins, nearly just the cooking time. The teppanyaki with salmon was very good, fresh and delicious.
Gyōzas very tasty and refreshing with the ginger soy sauce. Also added a bit of chili oil to make them a bit spicy and they were perfect.
Staff just forgot an order that was asked and gave 2 glasses of water after almost 10 mins but friendly though. Would recommend for fast lunch. Very busy after 13:00
P.Service was fab and the restaurant is clean and modern but we weren't over impressed with the food. Me and my wife thought our meal was a little bland and both children left their meals. Perhaps we ordered poorly but i will give it another try as I've always enjoyed the food at the Manchester centre restaurant.
L. B.Fabulous food, excellent value for money and Vegan food too. There is plenty of choice on the menu from different meats to vegetarian and a fabulous Vegan Menu. Drinks are good specially the energy green juice. Only drawback it gets busy and often a long wait to get seated. They have no introduced a dish inspired by great Vegan uTuber chef, Gaz Oakley. You will spot his inspired dish with the Vegan egg.
J.Have been here *multiple* times. It never disappoints! The staff are friendly and quick! The waiting time for food is very shirt, and the quality of the food is normally brilliant! As somebody who has came here atleast 3 times a year since 2019, I can say that it is one of the best places in the food court! The only con is that there is almost always a queue, so that should be sorted out. Apart from that, it is brilliant!

M. M.Strangely enough, this wagamama produces a slightly better food dishes than other branches. When it's busy, it is definitely busy! Orders can be delayed but staff are friendly.
J. F.It was not a great start to the night out. Once seated (just after 7pm) the order was taken not too long after. Normally the service is quite quick, even at busy periods, but today no drinks or food had arrived after 25 minutes. A quick word with the manager and the waitress was back to retake the order. Apparently original had been lost. It was nearly 55 minutes before we had all the food and drink on the table. At the his point we had a visit from the manager, who picked up the tab, and a new waiter, Dennis, who took care of us after that. Food was good, as always. Five stars awarded because food was great and we were looked after once the problem had occurred.

The staff brought us the menu and there was a QR code where you can make your payment. We ordered stir fried Yaki Soba and Beef Brisket bowl. Both dishes were delicious, however, the Yaki Soba was slightly overcooked. The dishes did not arrive at the same time. We had a dish arrived about 10 minutes after. Overall, we walked away happy.

Our server was very kind and helpful and the manager (who has to take my order because of my allergies) was also very reassuring that she'll do her best to prevent and cross-contamination. The food was delicious and beautifully presented as always. My friends also loved it and are planning to bring their family as well. I just wish that our tip went to our server and not shared between everyone else.

The food is fantastic- fresh, tasty and if you have personal preferences they are happy to prepare it for you just the way you like it.
The reason why i leave 4 starts is because this time we made an order of the same dish but for some reason the ingredients, the colour and the taste of ine of them was different.
Other than that all else was fantastic.
Please try the glass noddles with the misso vegetables they taste out of this world.

The wait to be served was a little while but the waiter, Bico, was apologetic and took our order quickly. Once ordered, the food arrived very quickly which was impressive. The food was absolutely delicious. No complaints at all. Once we had finished, Bico came over to ask about the food and was so polite, friendly and chatty. Definitely made our experience more enjoyable having a friendly waiter. Will definitely be returning here!

Great option of drinks too and the peach tea and must try I'd say.
The location is great as you are surrounded by other restaurants and the atmosphere is great too. The price is not exactly cheap but then again it not very different to other places around it.

T. J.Fantastic fresh food, reasonably priced for what you get and the quality. Service is great and the decor is fantastic. 4 out of 5 mainly because my last visit we were seated upstairs without being asked do we mind. Upstairs you cannot watch the chefs at work, the atmosphere is pants and you're easily forgotten about. Pointless seating in my opinion but some may prefer the quieter area. Always tip the staff, they work incredibly hard and know lots about the food.

M. R.I used to like Wagamama when they served a huge bowl of rice with fried tofu. I was very disappointed when this option disappeared from the menu, but then from about one year ago they have expanded their menu to include mild dishes which are very tasty and I love. I don't appreciate spicy or hot food and not having a mild option was a negative for me, now there is plenty of choice and I love this chain again.

A. P.It was our first time visiting his particular Wagamama and the first time my wife had ever visited one. The food was a usual excellent standard and the staff were very friendly and happy to offer recommendations to my wife who was a bit lost with the menu.
The only detractors for me is that the queue line can get very long outside and if you're seated outside near that line it isn't a great experience eating your food whilst 20+ people gawp at you, it can also start getting very expensive with appetisers and extras with your meal despite the "quick bite value" vibe which Wagamama gives off.

The customer service was outstanding, a lovely lady explained the menu to us, she was very confident and seemed to personally know the menu very well. She even recommended some things for us, as I was new to Japanese cuisine I found this very helpful.
We had a really good evening there, my missus loves the place and I think we'll definitely have to pay it another visit!! Thank you for having us, we'll see you again soon 😁
