Went to Zizzis with a couple of my old friends as we had heard great reviews about it. I am quite a picky eater so I ordered a beef meal. Can’t quite remember It now but I have attached a picture below. We had an amazing time. Courteous staff, prompt service and there were enough chairs to sit in.

My sister and I visited here before a show. She had a voucher from work that she wanted to use that allowed us to order from a set menu. The food was great, apart from the aranchini balls (they seemed a bit greasy). The service was also really good. The only bad thing was we were told at the end that we couldn't give a tip on our cards but we didn't have cash since noone (including them) is accepting cash anymore. We felt a bit bad but we were going to a theatre show and wouldn't have had time to go to a cash machine and come back. Definitely would go back here in the future.

We booked in advance, as soon as we entered they asked about any dietary restrictions/allergies that we might have. After disclosing my gluten sensitivity, they offered us a gluten free menu and an allergen folder. After ordering, they had an allergy alert on their kitchen screens, so that the chefs are aware. Overall, they were so understanding and meticulous about allergens. We ordered a GF Pure Pepperoni pizza and a standard Margherita. I would recommend them to all, they were extra delicious 😀 Keep it up, guys!

Staff were polite but not trained properly. I had to wait for reception . When I ordered , she came back after 5 min and said the dish is not available . So I had to order again . Stsrter and main course arrived together . OK but could be better .

Food was gorgeous but staff were sadly lacking, this could be because they were a bit stressed with the dortmund fans I don't know. Everything I tried to order was off the menu but we weren't told that when we sat down, we finished our mains and asked for a desert menu, 10 minutes later I asked again as it wasn't given to us the waitress then stood over us until we ordered, again what I wanted wasn't available, ordered 2 coffees but only 1 arrived, I'm not sure if it was the music too loud or the football fans distracting the staff but it was just off, however as I said at the start the food was fantastic.

1st time to zizzis for my girlfriend's BD. They noted all my requirements and were extremely kind and attentive, especially Laura who even joined in with the BD song. My only disappointment was my gfs dish was spicy even tho Laura did request it not to be but that was the chefs fault. No biggy as I got more food to eat!

We came here after a failed night of trying to celebrate our anniversary (original restaurant we booked for let us down, and the second one we went to spoke to us in a horrible manner). Coming here, the night was rescued. Gorgeous food as always, fast service and amazing service from the girls there. Super friendly and sweet. We go to zizzis in Stockport probably twice a month if not more. We decided to go to Picadilly Gardens this time and it wasn't the best. It was extremely busy and we only saw three front of house staff. I was given the wrong pizza and the server just said oh and looked at me with a blank expression. The dough from the pizza and garlic bread was awful. It was chewy and just broke apart. The bruschetta was not nice, the bread they used was soggy in the middle and horribly hard on the outside. I don't know whether it was just rushed because of how busy it was or if its usually like that. Either way we didn't really enjoy it. I felt for the servers as I know how stressful it can be when understaffed and I think management should look into it as it's not fair on them or the customers.

Really good pizza, and it was huge! Everyone i was with enjoyed their meal and the table service was great. We ate at lunch time but only one of us ordered from the lunch menu, that is great value though. I'll eat there again.

Lovely large venue on piccadilly. Friendly staff and massive pizza. Tried 2 different pizzas and both were lovely. They gave some complimentary snack whiles waiting, I didn't like the flavour of that. The pizza is massive but really stretched so you are prob eating the same quantity of dough as a standard pizza. Saturday early evening visit and after being seated and given menus, the drink order was taken and we we were asked if we were ready to order. We'd hardly had chance to look at the menu at this point. I always thought that Italian food was a social event, and not something to be rushed? The food was okay, I've had better Italian food and was a little put off by the seeming continual use of the "spicy", especially as I don't like spicy food, hence Italian being chosen. But the experience that really wasn't pleasant was the way a customer who was sat at the other end of the long table we were at, was spoken to after raising a complaint. It might be worth adding here, I work in a complaints team so this is an area I am familiar with. The manageress (I believe) was dismissive, and quite frankly in my opinion, rude. A customer said the meal they got wasn't what they expected, and the response was "nothing I can do, I can feed it back to head office, we serve it how we're told to..." The list of excuses and bite back went on. What ever happened to the basics of customer service? BTW The menu does not mention the meatballs being "deconstructed" as was suggested in response, in fact it states, and I quote.... "Oven-baked pork & wild garlic meatballs with smoky mozzarella and spinach, in a slow-roasted tomato sauce, spiced with chilli flakes." So I totally understand why the customer was complaining, what was presented to them was not what they'd expected when ordering. The manageress then proceeded to almost strop around the place, telling the other staff and a table sat behind us about the issue, and really not handling the complaint well at all. There were two or three very friendly staff members on duty that night, but I can honestly say witnessing this encounter I feel for the other team members working that evening. Send your staff on some basic complaint/objection handling training as some clearly need it.

I took my wife and my two sons hear and all of them are fussy eaters and as it was my birthday and i had the choice where to go I chose zizzi in Manchester ad we was on a djort brake and I glad yo say was 4 cllen plates after we had finished our meals including the 3 fussy eaters. My only thing is i want to know is how did they make the crispy pasta that they gave us with our finks ad it was very nice and ide love to be able to make it my self but I am giving it 21 out of ten for every thing and the staff the food was lovely

Nice on the house service with pasta crisps. I don't usually buy Margherita pizzas but I felt like having something simple and it was delicious. I also ordered a banana brownie sundae. Unfortunately I'll have to knock a star off due to the staff forgetting to bring my sundae and them being unaware of it. Unsure if this is due to their online ordering to the table service. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

Really happy we chose to eat here. The menu was much as you'd expect from a chain Italian place, but they clearly know how to cook what they offer to a very appreciable standard. We were seated quickly, our order taken and food arrived all in exceptionally good time. We chose some of the Zizzi fruit mocktails to drink which are very enjoyable fruity drinks. I chose a salmon dish, my partner ordered arancini and soup. Everything was well cooked and fresh and while presentation was not super beautiful each dish looked sumptuous and appetising. The general ambiance of the place was busy, but still relaxing, the open kitchen adding some ongoing liveliness to the room. Decorated much in line with a faux-italiano chiq in mute Mediterranean colours, it felt very comfortable. The staff were friendly and really helpful in getting our order to us exactly as we'd asked, having made some small variations, and attentive enough to make sure we were looked after without being imposing. Easy to get to in a heart of Manchester, this would make a great stop to add if your only visiting for a short while.

The restaurant is fine and so are the employees, but portions are too small given the price, and the taste wasn't that great. Some of the descriptions are misleading (e.g. no pesto on the bruschetta that states "pesto"??) and the pizza crust was not satisfactory for someone used to actual Italian cuisine.

The best meal out I've had for a while. Due to my chemo treatment my appetite hasn't been good but this was so tasty and the tomato and rocket salad was so refreshing, loved it!

Genuinely impressed - my husband had the salmon main, and I had two starters (arancini and the soup) with a side of smoked rosemary salt garlic bread to share. Everything arrived really quickly, and was absolutely fresh - the vegetables in my soup were tender and delicious, crammed with flavour. The arancini were light and crisp, gooey with mozzarella and the dip packed a punch. My husband's salmon came with fresh pea greens, fried potatoes, artichoke and loads of other tasty greens - he seriously thought about ordering another portion for dessert! He's currently helping himself to my passion fruit punch - well recommended if you're not into alcohol but want something a bit more sophisticated, this comes with a whole HEAP of sensation: the lime comes storming forwards, and slowly evolves into the warm, wide passion fruit puree, tailed quietly by the smoky aromatic rosemary. He DOES have a glass of Sicilian Summer to himself (which is delightfully zingy - still lemonade, orange, elderflower and apple, served with a mighty wedge of grapefruit) but apparently mine is too yummy to resist. The decor is rustic Italian charm, and the tables either solid wood, or good stone, and there's a PROPER coat stand - I was rather grateful for this, as the weather is slightly less than clement, and my hat was a bit damp. The open kitchen fragrances the place and provides its own entertainment - the whooshes of dishes flambéed, seeing all the interesting dishes coming out (what IS that fascinating kebab stand about?)... In short, highly recommended. Go. Go there and be joyous.

Food as always was of a high standard. Staff were bright and cheerful, used a tastecard code so the bill was halved . Did need to send the bill back to have the reduction despite mentioning it when we ordered. It was busy though and it was done with a smile. Wonder if a more reticent person would have been able to return the bill before paying? I would still recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Family enjoyed a meal here on a Monday night. Place wasn't too busy. Food tasty and decent size portions for the price. Drinks as usual in these places are over priced though. They also need to get the door to the restaurant fixed. Didn't close properly and was letting in cold air when the evening was a little chilly.

Only 4 stars because there needed to be a wider choice of menu. There is a vegan menu if asked for, not sure if there is a gluten free one but there should be information. The garlic bread was lovely, it came on a wooden platter. It looked like a very thin flat/pizza bread cut into wedge shaped pieces. I had a Lentil ragu with linguine it was very nice and slightly spicy. My husband enjoyed his meal too. The staff were lovely and very helpful. It had a nice atmosphere, was quite busy had a wait on food which the staff came and informed us of. The 🚻 toilets are downstairs. There is a very good spacious ♿ disabled toilet on the ground floor

The price was fair and the food came quickly, even though we were told it would be a 40 minute wait for food. My starter was luke warm and main cold, as was my wife's pizza but they were replaced quickly and with no fuss. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and had booked ahead which was good as they were turning people away when we arrived. We were seated in the downstairs area which was a lot quieter than the main ground floor area.

I came in for a quiet meal on my own today and felt extremely welcomed by the bonny lady with auburn hair tied up in a bun. Thank you for your attentiveness towards me. I am here at the restaurant as I write this review, no exaggeration, that was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. It is very busy and yet it came to me in under ten minutes. I thought it might not be so good because of how quick it came, but make no mistake... it was absolutely delicious. Service is very friendly too despite it being so busy. I am beyond satisfied. This is my second time being here as I had the duck about a week ago. It too, was scrumptious, made in a very tasty ragu. Keep up the great work.

Food was lovely, Slow service from the waiting staff; but im from london so I think my pace is much different. When our meal was finished the bill did not arrive for close to 10 minutes, I asked for it but was not heard as they'd already walked off. I think the staff should slow down and listen to the customers, I was then was handed a card reader with gravitas already engaged... Make gravitas an option unless the service is amazing. I still tipped but felt forced, and I hate that feeling of pressure.

The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful, we asked about the halal chicken and he clearly explained how the chicken is brought into the restaurant and which items on the menu are halal. Food arrived quickly and was fresh and delicious. 30% student discount currently which is also a bonus. Thank you Zizzi's for an amazing dining experience. Highly recommended for Italian cuisine.

I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars, but on this occasion I couldn't. I visited on Thursday evening with my friend. We both felt the restaurant was cold. We moved on a couple of occasions trying to find a warmer spot but it was still cold. We asked a couple of times about the heating/AC but the staff insisted that the AC was off. We could feel cold air blowing out pretty much everywhere. I had to wear my shawl throughout my meal and my pizza, though lovely, went very cold very quickly. That was disappointing. Other customers too were wearing scarves, coats etc because they complained about the temperature too. My chocolate pudding arrived cold and I had to send it back for another one which arrived warm. It was supposed to be hot. Zizzi - your food and service is lovely, but please sort out the heating so that I don't have to shiver and eat cold food again.

Zizzi is great!! I always enjoy my food at any of the restaurants. However for the past 4visits to the stockport, Manchester and Trafford Centre branches, I've always had to go find straws from another restaurant or bar because apparently they've run out of straws. I asked one of the managers in the Manchester branch today for it and I was told the same thing anyway I had to leave my guest at the table and go to macdonalds on market Street to get straws for our drink. With the current global situation (covid19), we must have straws. Its not right to drink from restaurants glasses with every other person's mouth over it

Hello, me, my partner and mother in law came to your restaurant today 7 may 2016, can I just say before we even ordered our food we fell in love with your restaurant, after walking around Manchester for what felt like hours looking for a place to eat with difficulty because we had our dog with us, with my partner asking if we could eat outside, one of your staff kindly said yes and that we could push two tables together to cater for the four of us, we asked if we could have some water for our dog and offered to pay of course, the gentleman very kindly brought us some water free of charge, we couldn't thank him enough, our food arrived very quickly and the waitress were very polite, we cant honestly fault the food, it were absolutely gorgeous along with the drinks. We visit this restaurant almost every time we're in Manchester. Polite and friendly staff who are very accomodating. Restaurant is quite spacious with stares leading to underground section that is well presented and you'll feel great dining there despite no natural light. Ambient is good, music is appropriate. I can say that the place is sorted, clean and tidy without any other odors then food. Food is well presented and at least average portioned. This restaurant welcomes children throughout the day and into the evening. Kids menu is available at a reasonable price and portions with colouring and occasional drawing competitions.

I had the Wild Boar Polpette and this was a dish that was as good as the menu suggested it would be. For a main course I had the Crab Cannelloni Al Forno and it was a disappointment the flavour was good but it had been over cooked and the the top of the cannelloni was dry and chrispy. The sweet that I had was good but spoilt by the main course. I would have to say that on this occasion the reputation was better than the experience. There was also someone that I can only assume was the manager prancing around the place like he owned the place but was dressed in a scruffy outfit compared with the rest of the staff. Not a place I will be rushing back to when there are so many other better places to eat in Manchester.

The spicy one looks small but it packed with chicken and mince and it quote densly packed. I also had some buttery mash. That was ok. The portion is enough for one or to share. The soft tail I had was a Very Berry. That was very nice, although could do without the plant that came with it. The Sicilian lemonade was a bit bland. The interior is nice although it sort of feels like the budget ran out halfway through. There are neat details, and then some walls that that look oddly plain in contrast. The paintings on the wall a nice feature. The location is a busy spot. It was quiet when I went but this place can get very busy. If you're a large group book ahead.
