Reviews of Zouk Tea Bar & Grill
B. B.
We went for the Sunday roast of a whole chicken with a platter of sharing vegetables. The gravy was the highlight, rich with a mild spicy flavour. This is such great value and with an Indian twist on a classic English roast, can't wait to eat it again!

Family of 5 visited here this evening!
Booked online
Ordered mojitos
Small glasses but drink v nice
Food was lovely
Ordered poppadoms starters mains and desserts
Samosas chaat was bit small
Karhais were smaller than standard restaurants too
Bit over priced
Worked out 200 for 5 of us
Service was lovely
Very good start to new year!
Didnt rush you
Were there for good 3 hours!
S. R.
The place looks really nice, the staff very friendly however the food wasnt anything to shout about, decent food not worth the price tags thats for sure. Its highly rated but the food is just average they could do so much better, bit dissapointed by the whole experience tbh.
W. M.
This is an exquisite dine in restaurant.
They serve amazing and tasty Indian & Pakistani Halal food. It was my first time ever to eat Indian or Pakistani food but it was extremely delicious.
The restaurant design is amazing, the staff is friendly.
What I did like most is that the owner of restaurant himself checks with guests how was the food, place, and also friendly and welcoming to the guests.
Definitely I will visit the restaurant again to try more main courses.
F. S.
I loved the customer service. All the staff were so friendly. We didn’t have to wait long for the food. The food was good but not amazing
H. C.
Good service. Enjoyed the Wagyu Sliders. jalfrezi. However the Lamb Shawarma was really greasy.
M. P.
I ordered a takeout chicken tikka masala with pilau rice and it was very yummy 😋
N. S.
Visited ZoukTea Bar & Grill after a few years, didnt really enjoy the food back then but i can say i was really impressed. It was really busy but the service was good, the food was served to us fairly quick. The Food was lovely, just perfect. Highly recommended. I would book online first as it can get busy.
I. P.
Lovely place. Food refreshingly good... I ordered a medium rare steak with cut chips and vegetables. Ambience on point. Genuinely satisfied 👍🏼📍
N. D.
The service was excellent, the staff were prompt and followed up to check that our meal and experience was good. The food was excellent. The lamb was incredible, I have genuinely not had lamb as good in a very long time.
Both meals we had were delicious and filling.
Would highly recommend!

The setting is lovely and the restaurant has a great atmosphere however food is 'okay' and is quite a busy place with hard to find parking outside (there is pay and display street parking but very tight) advise you come earlier than your reservation. Staff even though rushed off there feet are professional and very prompt.
S. P.
Food and hospitality on point as always! Big thanks for Helen for looking after us! See you soon.
G. L.
I've taken my work team there twice recently and both nights have been brilliant. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was amazing and prices reasonable. I'll definitely return again.
R. P.
The restaurant has a modern interior with good staff. The appetizers were delicious and i would definitely recommend the butter chicken.
K. A.
It's ok, above average I would say. Drinks are maybe a bit too expensive, mains were ok price. Starters tasted good, mains could do with a bit more flavour. Not much to else to say.
S. S.
Mainly paying for the nice atmosphere if you like a busy place, food is average
H. J.
Last went here a couple of years ago, the food is decent, good location, the portion sizes however are small compared to some other restaurants in the area. Liked the lamb chops.
M. L.
Been waiting for over a year for the return of their Lunch Tiffins, and now they are finally back! They’re as good as ever, two currys, some grilled chicken with rice and maybe the best Naan bread in the city, freshly prepared in their open kitchen. Will be having lunch here often from now on!
A. L.
Ocean platter was a disappointment, salmon steak must have shrunk during cooking got six prawns and a lot of calamari (small ones) presented on what looked like palm leaves with a possibly tamarind sauce and lemon. Expected more for £19.95. Dynamite prawns are not spicy. Paid over £200 for 5 adults and 4 children. Not really worth it considering quality and quantity of some 9f the food.
N. A.
Went for sunday brunch with an indian twist. Nice atmosphere and good food. Halal. Not 5 stars as not mind blowing!
T. A.
Food mediocre nothing special, helped by nice venue and seating as well as layout
D. C.
Best Indian food I've had in Manchester so far. Excellent naans and the curry I had (murgh salan) was excellent. I've had a lot of curries recently that haven't really tasted like curry but this one did. Really good service. Ignore the low rating on Google, this place gets 6 stars from me and we will definitely be back.
A. S.
Went there for work Christmas part and the food was amazing quick service and great staff.
A. C.
I went for a Valentine’s meal with my boyfriend; I’m not the biggest fan of Indian food to begin with but I wasn’t impressed with the lack of vegetarian/ vegan options on the set menu. We had cocktails which we had to ask for 3 times before they came. Customer service left little to be desired, they didn’t introduce themselves or ask how we were. And then when the bill came they added an extra £11 for service. Sorry to say I won’t be coming back.
D. F.
I don't understand how this place has received poor reviews... Went last night. The food is amazing... Never had Indian food as tasty as this and the prices are reasonable for a city centre location... Go, try, you won't be disappointed
F. Z.
We came when it was very busy, however it was easy to get a table. Ordering was a bit hard because the waiters were busy, however the food came quickly. The atmosphere is nice and the food is good, however lacks some authenticity.
K. B.
Coming from a regular indian/Asian cuisine lover, this place is banging. Ordered seekh kebabs, paneer tikka & chips through deliveroo and it was spot on. Would highly recommend despite the undeserving low rating on Google.
G. P.
Went for Sunday lunch with the family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We have a mixture of curries and their Sunday roast and all the dishes were given the thumbs up.
Reasonable beer selection which is always a plus and the service was friendly and efficient. It's a large modern venue so would be good for larger groups as well.

Tamara , who attended me and my friend's table at Zouk, was beyond fantastic. She was friendly, prompt, caring and knowledgeable. Also the food she recommended was great. Thank you Tamara!
J. K.
Visited Zouk's for the first time last with a couple of friends. The venue was recommended by my friend who attended last night. We had to queue briefly before being allowed in & met my the MaitreD & shown to our table. The venue externally and internally is very impressive and had high expectations. The menu is extensive and wanted to order the King Prawns but unable to do so as it was marinated in coriander seeds, hate coriander so opted for fried squid served with a saffron mayo. For my main I ordered the Lamb Latiki. Squid arrived, look very limp & lacklustre with a wedge of lemon & no mayo. My friend ordered the same, my other friend ordered the prawns ( which were charcoal on the outside) but my friend said was very good & not overcooked. My friend who ordered the calamari had already started eating when I realised our saffron mayo was missing (I had not started eating mine). I flagged 2 members of staff to explain & we waited, nothing. I then flagged another staff member, (later found out her name was Bucy, lovely girl) explained, she apologised ( which the other 2 hadn't). The mayo arrived & I can assure you firstly by sight & secondly by taste that this was not a saffron mayo. It looked & tasted like a synthetic Marie Rose sauce , vile! Neither one of us used it & when Bucy came to clear in, I informed her the calamari was overcooked, she apologised & asked if we'd like to see the Manager. I declined & asked it to be fed back.
The main however, was a different story, it was delicious! I ordered a side of mushroom rice & my friend who'd also ordered a curry, shared a peshwari naan. Loved the curry, tasty, creamy, ate the lot, & was stuffed. Portions were generous & the lamb was tender. We all enjoyed our main, my other friend ordered the seafood platter which he said was lovely. The drinks in the photo are a Passion Fruit Mojito, one alcoholic, the other non. I ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri 🍓

Have yourself some Indian Breakfast at Zouk
If you’re after brunch and want it with some Asian spices, head on to Zouk for some Indian Nashta (Breakfast). With plenty of seating and tall ceilings, it provides an airy venue that allows you to enjoy your meal in peace. They had classic RnB tracks on causing us to reminisce and they’ve also got a Shisha area outside for those who fancy it.
We tried out a couple of options;
\Bombay Baked Eggs [£9.95] - Baked eggs with potato and spinach in a curry-like sauce. The potato and spinach were delicious with a subtle, light and tasty flavour. It comes with 2 toasts even though it doesn’t mention this on the menu. This dish wasn’t overpowering and it feels like the right portion for a brunch
\Channa Puri [£8.95] - Because why would we say no to chickpeas and who says you can’t have curry for breakfast. This definitely was spicier than the eggs but wasn’t too intense. The puri is fried but not heavy at all.
Indian Kulcha Bread [£3.50] - We were intrigued and carbs are good for the winter, aren’t they? It was just like a different type of naan
To quench our thirst, we had;
\Fresh Orange Juice - Guess we weren’t in luck on our visit as the oranges weren’t to our liking leaving a weird aftertaste, but that’s the gamble with fresh orange juice
\Desi Chai - The perfect size but if you prefer to have your tea with your meal or after, it may be better to order it later or ask for it after. It had the right amount of cardamom (Elaichi) in it
There are a few other items that looked interesting, so we might have to pop back to give them a try and also the normal menu.
Recommended for: Indian, Brunch, Traditional
One Thing: Classic
Price: ££
Halal: Full menu

Food was really good great service even though there was 12 of us. All food came out fresh and at the sametime. I recommend trying out the Tava Lamb as a starter great dish. Also mains had the Lamb Lazziz which tasted amazing has to be in my top five curries. Great job guys will be returning.
S. C.
Zouk Tea Bar & Grill catered at our wedding in Manchester. We had the roast platter dinners and it was amazing! Narhisa was a pleasure to deal with prior to the event, communication was excellent, and we couldn't have been happier with the food. The service team on the day were friendly and professional throughout. Highly recommended!
D. E.
Had some great food here rice chicken masala dish and not forgetting the poppadoms we had with unusual chutney tray...not my cup of tea. Anyhow will come again.
Great service with a smile. Thanks
D. Y.
The starters and cocktails were good. However was extremely disappointed with the mains. The biryani didn’t wasn’t authentic at all and tasted more like Pulav.Expensive place as compared to the quality
C. L.
Great food, great service. We had a party of around 30 and they catered for us brilliantly. Definitely worth a visit. 👍
F. I.
Great place with a great atmosphere. Waiting times are not too long. The food quality is quite good. Their meats are tender and properly cooked. They have steak menus which I consider a bit expensive compared to other quality steakhouses. It's a good place for groups to share big platters.
L. C. B.
Food is nice. Although no indication on the menu Chicken 65 has LOTS of chilli in. Our mains were delicious!
N. D.
Been there two days ago with my mum and had an amazing time. Arrived around lunchtime and suprisingly they had lots of free tables so we got ours immediately. As this was our first time trying indian cuisine, we didn't know what are things on the menu like but our waiter was very nice and polite and explained everything. Food was served quickly and the look and taste of it were absolutely wonderful, same as the price for it. Will definitely come again! Thank you!
A. A.
Food is exquisite, the decorum is as palatable as the food, nevertheless the four star is due to slow service as my misus and I despite having a reservation waited at the door with no que for 7 minutes and then 10 minutes before our order was taken but inspite if this the food in particular the Lamb Briyani was exquisite - also easy parking outside is free after 6pm and prices very affordable for the quality
C. M.
The food was delicious - we had the platter for 4 - and the service was excellent.
A. S.
Nice atmosphere and the Indian food tasted very authentic
G. R.
Good quality food and attentive staff. Not the best Indian restaurant I've been too in all honesty. Quality is okay. Ordered the butter chicken and unfortunately was very sweet in taste. Again, not the best nor the worst.
B. B.
Enjoyed every minute of my time here, really good atmosphere, food are very good, try many dishes and happy with the quality food and services, highly appreciated.
a. d.
We went around 1pm, so it was widely and empty. Tiffin was fantastic and great value for money. Samosa chat was very well presented in a steel cocktail glass but it's difficult to eat from it and u should put it on the plate.
H. K.
The food was alright even though it was a bit on the higher side. Its a goof place to bring guests. Not what i would call authentic indian. still I haven't found many authentic Indian/Pakistani places to begin with in the UK because it won't cater to the western folk. So I'll add this place to the western indian cuisine which seems to be the norm in the Uk. Disappointing as an Asian looking for a taste close to home
R. G.
Food was amazing 10/10, only downside was my £12 cocktail being taken half way through finishing and the 2 nappies on the bathroom floor….
A. A.
Food was good. Considering the volume it was not so much expensive. They play good techno music but in the upper floor it's too loud and even difficult to talk with the person next to you. Also some staffs are not professional.
S. C.
The food was great, not up to Bradford Curry standards but that's a hard target to hit. Staff polite. The major downside was the front area absolutely reeked of weed. It don't care if people smoke it, I just don't want to smell it before and after I've eaten
S. S.
A jubilant & lovely establishment. It's laden with wonderful food, a beautiful atmosphere & with the esteemed music, adding a delicate touch to the atmosphere, it's rather a wonderful place to eat. The food is great. It's all halal. The price can add up, so make sure you count your choices. It's definitely well placed in a vibrant city, such as Manchester, so expect a fantastic street sense. Highly recommended 😊
H. R.
Great ambiance and authentic Pakistani food close to Manchester city centre! Huge portions, a platter for 2 (in the pic) can easily feed 4 hungry souls! So prices are fair. Service is top notch as well.
B. C.
Came here for my dad's birthday meal with my brothers. It was my first time and I would HIGHLY recommend!
The food was delicious and the portion sizes were ideal.
I also loved the cocktails; they don't hold back on the alcohol which is always a bonus!
The only issue for me is that the starters came at the same time as the main meals. I would have preferred starters and then main after. This might have been due to the fact that the restaurant was so busy.
K. M.
Really good food, good location, friendly service (but a little slow), make reservations because it's always full
K. N.
Very busy and chaotic but good food especially the pistachio cake woth Rose water buttercream. Delicious 😋
H. P.
ZTBG has an awesome buzz and ambience. The food I had was just great and the staff and service was courteous, atentative and prompt. I have no doubt that I would return to experience some more from their repoitoire of dishes.
Z. I.
Visited Zouks with a group of friends for an evening meal:
Decor: 3/5
Customer service: 4/5 - all waiters were smiling and were very helpful.
Pricing: 3/5
Food: 2/5
Drinks: 1/5
We got the mixed grill for starters which was very average the lamb chops was very burnt and no lamb on it at all.
The main course was very average going into weak no flavour or taste to the curries we had: tasted something like my 9 year old nephew made in his school cooking class.
The naans and the dessert were very nice.
But I wouldn't return back again.
V. W.
Amazing Christmas day meal. High quality food. Excellent service and amazing experience. Definitely recommend and will be going back again.
R. S.
By far the best shisha in Manchester. Cocktails are great too. Service can be a little slow when they're busy but they are always very courteous and communicative. Can't fault the food, just good quality South Asian affair.
P. M.
We were a family party of 15 sat upstairs. Last Saturday. Food and service was excellent. Had the £30 set menu and it was incredibly filling. Waiters were excellent as well as the host. Only thing that needs sorting is their air con unit as there was a lot of condensation forming around it and dripping however this was seen to as soon as we addressed it.
J. K.
It was a beautiful restaurant with Indian cuisines. Everywhere was well decorated and everything appealing. The food was good, I really enjoyed the mushroom rice and a sauce that's definitely got Zouk Special attached to its name as I can't remember what its called right now. However, you can't miss it in the menu and it's definitely worth a try. The mohitto's were delicious too. However the definition of steamed vegetables is literal because what you'll be served is steamed brocolli with stalks and whole unpeeled carrots. Unless you're down for things like that, don't ask for steamed veggies. I'll definitely go back again for the same thing I had. Would recommend.
J. W.
Delicious and amazing food. Friendly staffs too!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
C. S.
Food is fantastic for Sunday roast platter , generous on the meat and yorkies, really mean on the vegetables ( almost none) this was a platter for 2 ( 3 carrots !) Service terrible , half an hour wait after being seated , place gets a bit dirty due to rapid turn over of tables at £25 a Sunday dinner ( plus a self imposed service charge ) it feels more like a canteen than a dining experience , feedback given to front desk upon exit, didn't seem to care. Overpriced but tasty , worth a one off visit for thr gravy but not repeatable until they get their act together, guess they don't care too much because they're currently Busy .
A. M. G.
Fabulous excellent food and very friendly staff!! The best Indian restaurant I've ever been to in Europe:)!
E. C.
Great flavour, but very small amounts of curry.
T. M.
Great restaurant. Funky ambiance on a Saturday evening. Lovely fresh tasty Indian food - and they have separate vegan menu which is great. Staff very friendly and efficient. I’ll return.
P. T.
Really nice food ordered for take away on Boxing day , ready on time .Will have to visit and eat in soon
M. B. G.
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! 🔥🔥🔥
Very tasty food! Exceptionally good drinks! Excellent atmosphere! Lovely staff!
The amount of food you get compared with other similar places is beyond!! And for the friction of the price too! If you haven’t tried it yet don’t wait too long! You can thank me later 😏
A. M.
When the food arrived, my waiter slipped and spilled a curry all over me - soaking through my shirt and into my jeans. They are now permanently stained and it made the meal very uncomfortable. It was an accident and the waiter was apologetic, but I expected to receive some token of apology from the restaurant, however we had to pay the full bill plus a service charge which felt contemptuous.
The food itself was nice, but the experience has put me off going again. I know accidents happen but as a basic rule of customer service, this should have been handled differently.
Edit: Having returned to Zouk after contact with the manager, the food was excellent and service was a little slow but not bad. I'd go again.
A. A.
Nice food , outside seating , friendly staff shisha , good price
N.
Got the channa puri and it tasted just as good as I expected (and I have a high bar for good chana). The spices were great, and the Puri was soft. I got the chai later which was also really good!
I. A.
The lamb was nice but the rest was dry. And way too busy to enjoy.
h. b.
Delicious food and drinks. Staff are very attentive and provide great suggestions. Will be visiting again.
A. E.
Just popped in for a bite to eat while out in Manchester and I have to say I was amazed.
The service and food was out of this world.
Everyone had a huge smile on their faces but I'm not surprised when they are serving such beautiful food.
We will definitely be coming back and I would recommend anyone reading his does the same.
K. A.
The food was lovely and the service was great.
A. A.
Very tasty yummy food, very nice and clean place. A bit pricey but worth it. Dont miss trying chicken tikka massala., fascinating💕👌🏻
S. S.
In short,
Food: Nice, a little overpriced
Service: Ok, bit slow
Would visit again
Some of the more recent review had put me off booking, but I needn't have worried. Arrived 15mins before booking of 7:30pm on a Saturday, didn't have to queue, just told them the booking reference and I joined my friends already upstairs.
Food was nice, portions were good, a tiny bit overpriced, but nice decor and it was nice to be out again to be honest!
Service is a little slow, food could have been hotter, but all 5 of our dishes came out together, drinks service again a little on the slow side. If your having a good chat with your friends its not too bad a wait, would be annoying if you were starving though. Automatically adding the service charge to the bill is a little cheeky and they also didn't deduct the deposit. But when mentioned the waiter went to check was 5 mins or so and it was sorted.
Would visit again and recommend but would mention the above.
S. N.
The staff that work here all need a refresher in hospitality and good customer service. The food does make up for what the staff lack. I wouldn't go there again because of the lack of customer service, that's quite important to me.
-The guy at the reception was in his own world (short south asian male with glasses) - no hi, no welcome to Zouks, no pleasantries. He wasn't welcoming. They need better front of house staff who greet guests, make them feel welcome and seat them straight away like Etci Mehmet next door
-The guy who took the orders (spiky hair and tight plaid pants) was really rude. When we asked about items on the menu he was very dismissive, very animated when explaining things and he just looked like he wanted the whole experience to be over. Please get someone who actually sells the menu to diners rather than making us feel like a burden
-There only seemed to be one waitress clearing tables and bless her, she had her work cut out for her, she kept dropping cutlery and other diners even offered to help her out to which she politely declined. She was lovely, she took our payments even though she was really busy.
The food was lovely though, 10 out of 10 for that. The kitchen staff said Salam to us as we walked in, so that was very nice of them to make us feel at home. Food was nice but I wouldn't visit again, we went on a quiet afternoon and our table was kinda neglected, we had to ask for new cutlery, plates to be cleared away so I hate to see what it's like when it's busy.

Loved it, great food, lovely staff, cool place - highly recommend 👌
M. S.
We visited place today and food was ridiculous
We were 6 people and no one liked the food
We are from Lahore and we know how food prepared and presented
We felt that we have been robbed as it was also very expensive
Not for proper foody asian people. Sorry!!
T. V.
A very well organised place great food and brilliant service very well presented and maintained a great experience and excellent value for money
R. C.
At the first moment you come to that restaurant team give you a nice feeling. Very warm crew, it is a good restaurant to to go out with friends or with your date. delicious cooking, specialist chef de cuisine, comfortable price and generous service. Highly recommended.
S. R.
Decent food not mind blowing / authentic but nothing to fault either other than prices which is way over some other places which serve better tasting similar dishes. 3 stars for the staff who are pleasant and attentive.
M. F.
Great food. Good service. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We weren't rushed as you can be in similar restaurants. Star dropped for toilets upstairs too small.
A. A.
Service was great. There was always someone there to serve you. Mixed grill is the best thing to order, was on point. Luckily got a space right outside however when it’s busy you’ll need to scour for parking. 4 stars 👍🏽
N. B.
The food was good but expect long waiting time when you go on a weekend. Had to wait over 20 mins for the food to be ordered and then a further 30mins for the food to arrive. They cheekily added a service charge to the bill aswell but luckily it was optional. We always give extra money for the service but not when we don't receive any worth giving extra money for. The drinks were good!
T.
Really excellent. Great food, open kitchen, great atmosphere, great service! 10/10
Z. A.
Really nice spot in Mcr. The passion mojito is really good and the starters were beautiful. Poppadoms and pickle tray were really good and the lamb chops were the best I've had. The gun powder chips however were literally just chips with peri salt. Staff were really friendly and he even deducted the chips price from the bill as we were not happy with them. Overall would reccomend as its a nice clean place to go.
I. A.
Visited yesterday, just randomly walking around Manchester City Centre. Not bad at all. The starters were nice, especially Lamb chops. The Biryani was okay. The shwarma was nice. Not greasy or anything. But star of the show, our server 'Shekhar' he was so nice. I've given an extra star for him. He was polite, smiling and so hardworking. He constantly was on the move and it was evident. Such a star and great guy. When I asked his name and thanked him, his smile made my day!! Give him a pay rise!! ;)
Þ. G.
Best Pakistani / Indian restaurant I've ever visited. Very busy atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff. Great service and amazing food. A must for Indian food enthusiasts :-)
A. W.
Best food ever. First visit here in Feb 19 returned last night and was not disappointed. My wife had a few small plates I had lamb laziz and keema naan both were exceptional
N. H.
Don’t order apple shisha because you will get mint instead. Customer service is either really good or shocking. If you want lovely genuine customer service ask for Rajpal reddy Aleti or challa ChennaReddy. They were the only people who cared to make our experience nice and they had a good energy.
A.
Was really nice and will go again for the Sunday roast platter, however an option with normal gravy would be better as the spicy gravy ruins it slightly.
N. N.
We ordered food and shisha in the outdoor part of the restaurant. I was really disappointed with the food. The chicken was really dry the server forgot to bring the chips which accompany this dish.
S. T.
Drove into Manchester for the Sunday roast. Food and service was great - couldn't fault it.
However, the setting was unclean: previous food crumbs all over the table and chairs, floors were sticky and skirting boards full of dust. Would be 5* if this was addressed.
N. R.
We had takeaway since tables are full (Post lockdown crowd). Food is expensive for the quantity they provide. Ambience is good. Staff is very well behaved. Taste can be better. Overall it's a decent experience.
A. B.
The Xmas Lunch Tiffin was good value and very tasty. Nice decor and an open kitchen.
J. H.
Ate at Zouk Manchester this afternoon in very challenging weather conditions - high winds and heavy rain!!
The staff rose to the challenge, coped well and were polite and responsive in dealing with our issues; flying poppadom and overturned prosecco! The food was delicious. Will definitely return, hopefully in better weather
S. E.
Zook is absolutely amazing. The resaturant was fab for my mums birthday treat. The leg of lamb was gorgeous and the whole presention of the meal was perfect. I cannot wait to book in again and taste the curries on offer. The service was fab, atentive staff and just an all round great vibe in the restaurant.
10/10

The best Indian food in Manchester. wide variety with an authentic twist.

Ordered Lamb shank Biryani + Dumpukht & lemon rice ,, it took around half hour for the order to come(not bad timing),, finally when it arrived, we were given plate of Biryani & a pot of Dumpukht + a bowl of rice!! NO PLATES to eat in?? I waited a bit & finally had to ask a server “will i get any plates?” ,, got a plate eventually after asking ,,,,,, ALSO i was given a knife & fork but no spoon to put the rice &/or curry in the plate!! Again had to ask a server for spoon! Also there were no napkins given at the table! (Again we had to ask for these!!) ideally I would expect the servers to be better and make sure that they provide napkins along with cutlery & plates at table before the food!! !!
One more thing,, the knife and fork was given in a paper bag thing which had a note on it saying that these are cleaned and sealed in the paper-bag by staff but the paper bags were NOT actually sealed!

Food was nice , we ordered many mains which were all good but one came cold as if they reheated it on the microwave and did not check if it was all hot. service was good our waitress Halima did her best . I did not like that they added automatically 10%service charge and £0.99 donation to some charity ( carbon free). Even it was a very little amount of money but still they should ask before if we would like to donate .
Y. Q.
Other than the ridiculously long waiting time to get served, this is one of the top restaurants in town. Great for family and social gathering.
T. Z.
The food is alright, not as good as 2 years ago, but still acceptable.
Cocktails are terrible.
It's a shame to see this because it was one of my favorite places to go to.
L. O. B.
Nice place Lovely staff great food
7/10
Z. O. C.
Service and food serving is too slow, i have no idea why i had a business dinner there and did not feel very proud although my bill was not small. fairly expensive and long waiting time
O. P.
Went on a bad day where they were training waiting staff. The contemporary parts of the menu leave alot to be desired
J. A.
Great food great location and great staff, we came with no reservation on a Saturday no less and were seated almost immediately, my only complaint is it felt like we were being bussed out ASAP, not normal quick turnover, we literally were given our mains and starters at the same time.
t. z.
Amazing sunday roast .... we had roast platter few different choices chicken. Beef roast vegetables was very nice and order for kids chicken korma just been on time spoken waiter he said if come late sunday roast runs out very quick. they do alot quantity but busy restaurant so if you want sunday roast try to go early cant complain waiter adam amazing guy he just did he is best thanks adam thanks zouk chiefs amazing will be back soon

Yum. Lovely service. Clean. Classy
s.
Great service. We were fasting and they provided us with water, dates and fruit. The food was lovely and warm. They also offered us blankets due to eating outside. Would definitely recommend!
L. P.
I'm not a fan of Indian food but this is well cooked and in the "limit" of spicy for me. Good price as well for what you get.
S. B.
Great food at great prices
R. M.
Lovely set up and fantastic staff. I had the dynamite shrimp (which was to die for) and chicken shwarma (delish).
The only thing stopping it from getting 5 stars was that the very friendly service was a little slow, but our server did say that they were missing a number of staff. I would definitely come back!

I've been a number of times and always had really good food. It tasted fresh and some of the flavours were very intense. This is a more modern take on Indian food, most dishes having a twist on traditional ones.
It is more expensive than some other Indian places I've been to in Manchester. Though generally I think the quality makes up for it.
I have had some problems with the service. Once I booked a table only to arrive and be told it hadn't been booked into the system so had to wait.
I have also had the wrong dishes be brought out and offered to us for free, only to find they've still been on the bill.
A couple of times the servers weren't sure which dishes we had ordered and didn't know if we were getting starters or mains.
Generally nothing too bad, but overall and considering the price it needs to be much better.
M. W.
Such amazing food, and the wait staff were amazing and attentive too. We ordered 1 mini lamb sunday dinner and 1 zouk special karahi. The flavours were amazing, if I am honest we were so shocked, we just wanted to go and have an easy sunday lunch nothing special, however the way we were treated and the way the food was cooked made it feel special. Credit where credit is due, Zouk have also worked very hard to ensure a covid-safe dining experience without compromising on what they can offer.
c. c.
Great food but overall priced, not Great service , need to be cleaned more regularly and they keep you waiting to order
s. b.
Lovely Food.... Awesome Taste and nive ambience... Service is bit slow... But overall its good...!!
S. B.
As a regular customer, the food at Zouk is outstanding, worthy of 5*,. The waiting staff are good . However I often find that there are not enough waiting staff and they seem over stretched. Consequently, it often takes a long time to order and mistakes creep in with regard orders and billing. I would suggest the management invest in more staff, which would make for a better and more relaxed service
I. A.
Great service. Waited for a table downstairs for 45 minutes after our 9pm booking time. The food was okay, not worth the price or the 1 hour wait after ordering. Loved the naan, the mocktails were okay. The starters and mains weren't particularly tasty. The lamb karahi and the black pepper lamb was the same, the only difference was the black pepper sprinkled on top of the other dish. Chicken steak was a bit dry. The chicken shwarma was empty, have had a better shwarma from a local takeaway. We learnt that most dishes are pre-made as we requested no nuts in the dishes, but was not possible for most of them. The tandoori roti didn't arrive until after we all nearly finished the mains. Left the restaurant fairly disappointed in the food.
Z. A.
Tasty food, good portions size and prices and good service.
U. W.
Nice ambience, food taste as compare to price is ok .
A. B.
If you are here for drinks - great place. If you here for food - smelled great. But if you are here for shisha - not great, the flavour wasn't nice and they put to many coals on which burnt the flavour. And the staff seemed grumpy.
Put it had a nice ambiance and outdoor heaters which kept us warm
R. L.
Food was amazing and the atmosphere was buzzing, the service was hit and miss though. We (party of 4) managed to get a table straight away on a busy Friday night. Starters came and we had to ask for plates. There was a delay with drinks but at least the waitress was apologetic and we could see she was regularly chasing the bar. Biggest complaint and reason for one star less was timing of mains. Breads came out first then we received two of the four mains five minutes after. Had to chase the other two and by the time they came out the breads were cold. Asked to have them warmed again but waitress offered replacement. Waited but never arrived and in they end we had the breads removed from bill. Would go again but try a less busy day/time as I suspect it would be five star worthy then.
L. B.
Good place for a meal. Not too pricey, I would say average. I will point out that the bill comes with gratitude included and the waiters do not get the gratitude from the client. So you need to exclude the tip and pay the waiter in cash. In this way he/she can keep the tip. I thought this attitude was long gone in the UK, clearly not the case
a. f.
Starters were really good. We thought it's going to be be great experience but the main course (chicken steak) was bland and tasteless. The chips were too oily. Loved the mango lassi though. The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling. Good ambience.
N. M.
Can't fault the experience. Friendly staff and food was delicious. Arrived quickly and was fresh and warm
A. E.
Very good restaurant with friendly staff 100%
H. M.
Staff were very friendly, lovely atmosphere. Socially distanced tables too which were great, it was a busy Friday evening but they catered to all well. Food was lovely and the staff were constantly asking you if you needed anything etc. For you instagrammers its definitely a place to go.
J. W.
Great food can't fault it. Service is excellent staff are great. Only 2 reasons I'm giving this a 4 star and not 5 is because they take a tad too long making food & it is kinda pricey. But then again us northerners are kinda stingy so each to their own.
E. B.
Good food. Visited a dozen times.
This time round we ordered drinks after our starter. Prompted them 3 times but they did not arrive until after the bill.
They did take it off the bill when we stated we only wanted the drinks during food. But subsequently were rude.
Plus they charge 99p for a "carbon free table," which I would expect as standard.
S. M.
One of the best Indian food, let me correct that one of the best food places I've been to in Manchester, period. Great service, lovely clean environment. The happy workers with great customer service skills make it that much better. Thought the drinks were a bit overpriced however, every penny was worth it. This place is what food is all about. Exactly what I expected and came for will definitely be back again.
N. P.
This place is just something else and phenomenal service given. Food was so tasty and full of flavour.
A big thanks to the manager as he was so helpful as we had carpark issues and he went out of his way to help. Cannot wait to go back again soon.
C. D.
Got mixed feelings really, got there and asked to sit outside we got told to just go and get a seat outside anywhere, two staff were outside so smiled expecting them to seat us but they just smiled back. So we just Sat down but immediately felt a bit uncomfortable with a few dodgy looking groups of lads seated nearby smoking shesha.
We then got a menu offered to us for shesha by the stay we just passed, Didn't even realise that's what it was and didn't see a sign it anything so went back in and sat inside, much better with families sat around and couples.
Ordered our food and got it brought out by one of the waitresses but she accidently touched the rice in both pots with the palm of her hands because of how she was holding the pots and unfortunately her hands didn't appear to be very clean so that put me off really and on the back of the initial entry into the restaurant just disappointed me.
The food we had though was nice and came a bit too quick to be honest as it was pretty quiet so didn't really even get chance to touch my drink.
I did feel a bit watched by the staff because they were trying to be keen but it wasn't busy enough for them to be doing anything.
On a side note It might not bother some people but staff serving food in my eyes shouldn't really be covered in tattoos, piercings, dreadlocks etc because it just seems scruffy when your wanting a nice meal that's quite expensive, but that is just my opinion
Z.
Nice, Seek kebab had too much onion and there wasn't any deserts
G. T. A.
Visited last Saturday with a group of friends. The waiting for table wasnt too long despite the place being super busy. The food was below average especially Seafood Special; was tasty but not worth the money since there was very little of it. Naan with cheese was the only item on the menu which was worth the money. The place was crowded and music was very loud and there were some obligatory service charges and donation to charity of which we were not informed about but they were put on the bill nonetheless. I would probably avoid this place. Hugely overhyped.
N. B.
Went to zouk for our xmas works meal. Will have to say the place was absolutely packed out. We were a little worried at first, usually when somewhere is that busy it tends to have a negative impact on the meal. Will have to say this was not the case, it was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent, service was fantastic, the waiters even had time to find out about us all. This place comes highly recommended by the whole of myself and my team. If there were more than 5 stars to press I would have. They are an eastern restaurant with a difference, of your into the shisha smoking thing they have a special heated area for this which looked really nice. We will 100% be booking again!!!
s. m.
Went for breakfast here today. Was a bit mad with logistics of getting all the food out (9 of us and a few kids) but the employees were lovely. Food was great. So much food! Give yourself loads of time as it's not to be rushed. Nice place.
t. i. (.
Delicious meals, with a nice shisha parlour. Portions are just ok. Too many waiters hovering around.
A. K.
Nice place, ambiance was good, the lamb and chicken dishes were very nice, chicken tikka was soft and tender, chips were poor. Would i go again? Maybe but not for a while as i believe there are better restaurants out there and more value for money.
Z. A.
Nice food, nice atmosphere. Busy.
T. S.
Food was good but it depends what you order. Steer clear of the Western/egg-centric options at brunch and go straight for the curries. The "spiced beans" and tomatoes were both straight from a can... On the flip side, the lamb nihari was full of flavour and spicy as requested! The channa puri was also really flavourful. Service was pretty poor though, it took forever to bring the food (and the place was fairly empty) then they'd forgotten our bread. Extra bread was added onto the bill, and they were really rude when we (politely) challenged it...
J. D.
This spot is the one I always prefer. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The crew is very cordial and the cuisine they place on your table is so delicious. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this place. I highly recommend this place.
O. A. A.
Nice place with good food but very busy to the degree that the waiters were pushing us (two families) out the moment we finished the food in our plates! The music was very loud but understandably this is the trend in most places. Overall will recommend trying Zouk but I personally will not go back again.
L. P.
i was there last week and much as the place was busy the waitresses kept tipping on us. Thanks for recruiting those new waitresses, some of them i had not seen them in the last months. they really served with a warm smile especially the ' BLACK GIRL.'
Though you need to improve on your pace, because it seems you are under stuffed compared to the clients you have. Generally i loved the starters, they were so well set.
I recommend it fully and will be back soon.
T. A.
Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. It can get quite busy which means you'll have to queue if you haven't booked in advance but it's worth the wait. I travelled from Birmingham and it was well worth the trip. Would definitely recommend.
s. n.
Came yesterday with my friend, service was 10/10 (other than one man who told us to work out how much it would cost if we split the bill, and did have a pretty bad attitude), so I had no problem paying the £5.55 service charge.
Was in love with the decor however it was a bit cramped (customers squished into the entrance for dining and throughout the outdoor area). Where we were seated was warm and well sheltered if you were to come for a meal whilst it was raining.
We ordered lamb chops, samosa chaat, poppadoms, a pickle tray and mocktails for starters, although on the more expensive side, the starters were lovely.
However the mains were neither good nor bad, more on the average side. We had a lamb karahi, with pilau rice and tandoor roti. Could’ve done with a bit more flavour, wasn’t worth the price but was still edible.
Will definitely return for just starters and mocktails next time.
P. B.
We ate dinner here on our first night in Manchester. It was nice to be able to have good quality food and share time with family within walking distance of work. The staff was friendly the environment was lovely, I would love to eat dinner there again.
G. M.
Went for brunch.. some bits were good but felt a little overpriced. The Maharaja breakfast was good. My eggs Benedict first of all came with no egg which they rectified but the rest had gone soggy by the time I got it. The staff and manager were nice but the service was very slow.
Nihari lamb was nice but you have to order naan separately.
I think they could add fried starters to the menu ie samose or potato bajia???
Food was good so willing to try again. Think they may have had an off day today
A. A.
Good booking. Very welcoming.
Food quality is quite good and would recommend to others. Clean. I’d visit again
Areas of improvement: waiters customer service could do with improvement
H. S.
Food was good. Went for the grill option from the lunch time tiffin menu, it was presented well and tased good. The issue I had was with the mocktails I had ordered, after about 4 sips nothing was coming up through the straws no matter if I moved the straws or mixed it all around which was disappointing considering the price of the mocktail.
C. P.
Provided with a fine selection of dishes from a range of cuisines, from curries to steaks, I was very much satisfied with the selection I chose.
The houmous starter was tasty and the naan, carrot and cucumber sticks provided with it were fresh and crisp.
The butter chicken main was full of flavour and fresh, the accompanied egg fried rice resembled that of the freshest and most favoured restaurants. The Peshwari naan bread side was sweet and crisp.
All round I was definitely impressed, not just with the food quality; also with the pleasant service who made us feel comfortable and also the serene environment enclosed within such an exquisite city centre.
E. R.
Been here several times and will always return here. Never made reservations and at busy times only waited short time. Staff have been friendly and polite. I have always enjoyed the food . Never had anything to complain about. I would recommend to give this place a try at least once
F. T.
Been here a few times, the desi breakfast is why me and my wife go to be fair. First time we went, on point - service, atmosphere, interior design and food. Everything was amazing! The second time we went (roughly 8 months later) we ordered our desi breakfast - I ordered the maharaja breakfast with scrambled egg instead of fried and my wife ordered a vegetarian breakfast. 45 minutes passed and we were slightly concerned (and hangry). A waiter comes over and explains it's just on the way as I had to make the awkward eye contact to say "where's our food". Food came and my eggs were fried when I asked for them not to be. And my wife was given a bowl of keema (mincemeat) with an egg over the top of it - bear in mind she ordered a vegetarian breakfast as she's a vegetarian. We were irritated, lost appetite and decided to leave and we told our waiter to tell a manager we're leaving due to the service received. On our way to the door, I believe the manager's name was Ali who came over and was more than apologetic. I could see the disappointment in his eyes. He asked to make it up to us and I explained we've lost our appetite and no longer wish to eat. He asked if we were staying in Manchester, I explained we were for an extra night. He invited us back for dinner the same evening and told me that we had to come back so he could put things right. He rightfully explained that he can't allow us to leave dissatisfied and explained how customer service is the pinnacle of what he believes and drives in the business. We explained we may be back in the evening. We did turn up later in the evening and walked in. He remembered me straight away and we didn't need to take a seat to even wait, we were taken straight to a table and given some mocktaiks whilst we waited for our dinner. We ordered, he told us not to worry as this was on him. We explained we wouldn't let that happen, we weren't back for free food. We agreed that we'd pay what we were going to pay for our breakfast at the very least. We had our mains, sat back and had some tea - (desi tea is awesome here). I asked a waiter to call Ali over so I could settle my bill and we would be on our way, he asked us to wait a little while. After roughly 10 mins, bakhlava and cheesecake turned up at the table! - what a surprise and what a delicious selection of desserts. We had them, went to settle the bill and Ali wasn't having any of it. I felt extremely bad that we didn't get the opportunity to pay as it would've satisfied us as customers to pay, however he told me that he was extremely disappointed with this morning and he wanted to make it up to us. Ali is a credit to the business and certainly has customer satisfaction on his agenda. We will be coming back every single time we're in Manchester and we hope to see Ali again!
O. K.
The Food was tasty but we weren't satisfied with the service
S. M.
I visited mid 2020 as recommended by friends. Mouth watering food, service was spot on, the staff we’re very attentive and polite and the ambiance was very warm and relaxing! I’d Definitely recommend this place! I’m most definitely going back soon
H. S.
It gets 5 stars for the best service I have recieved anywhere. Full stop. From the phone to meeting Maria in person as well as the waiters and waitresses. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice place. Food is quite pricy though. But that is what you get when you go to a fine place like this. There ARE better places in Manchester for food taste and quality and they'd cost at worse half the price of the 80 or so quid I spent here with my wife and 2 kids. P.s the kids just ate from what we ordered so essentially it boils down to about about 30 quid a head (the kids had their own drinks). But I could spend 30-50 at, say Bukhara, Al-Maidah, Royal Nawaab, Manzil and about £26 at one of my favourites in Manchester, Apna Lahori Kebabish on Cheetham Hill Road. This way down the class scale of Zouk Tea Bar (though I got this feeling they were trying too hard at Zouk's to be like a five star restaurant, but they are not. It is in effect a glorified curry house.) Actually scratch my last point. I can only call it a glorified curry house because that is what I ordered. If I remember correctly they do full lambs and fine lobsters etc.. ranging from 50 to 250 quid so perhaps I ought to have ordered something fine before accusing them of not living up to the hype of being a 'proper' restaurant. Anyways not for me. Won't be coming again but only because I don't have the stomach or the budget for this pompous style of dining. I prefer rustic and back alley dining where service and presentation is not the be all and end all of the restaurant's aims. I do value service though and I got THAT in spades at Zouk's, so thank you for a wonderful evening.
C. L.
The restaurant itself is well presented and the biriyani was delicious with a nice portion sizes. Service was a bit slow for me though. The shisha bar is nice whatever the weather as you get heaters etc. It always seems packed though so you might have to wait a bit, the price of shisha is a bit cheaper than others however like most places you have to buy a drink or food as well which is where it gets expensive
N.
Great restaurant and awesome staff.
The only problem is that they are usually busy so I would recommend you to book a table before going as a walker and without booking.
They offer a outdoor area and you can have a nice drink while you are smoking shisha.
The food is awesome. Great variety.
G.
As great as the food is, I have to say the atmosphere is not always very welcoming. For example, it took nearly 15 minutes of us standing alone by the door before anybody noticed we were there and showed us to a table. I've been to this restaurant many times and always find I can't relax as the staff around me seem very pressured and stressed. Understandable when it is a busy time of course, however that hasn't always been the case. I do really rate the food though and that is why I have been back so many times.
A. R.
This place is just brilliant! The mix of flavors and ingredients from south asia and beyond is perfect, great place for a date night, meal with the family or a big one with friends all with friendly service as well, can't wait to go back!
A. M.
Went to try this place on Eid, Yummy halal desi food, Tava Lamb starter was really good, a must try for meat lovers. The service was not up to the mark and still they charged £10 for lazy service, probably couldn't handle lots of customers because of the Eid day but still can think about visiting again. Curries were served without serving spoons and bread. Also had to ask for spoons for biryani. Staff was trying to help but failed to impress. Kudos to the chef!
S. K.
Experience was okay, we, as a party of 2, came at a time when it wasn't that busy however we had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken and another 15 minutes waiting on the bill. The food was great as expected! Maybe need a waiter or two more!
T. U.
Visited on 12th July. Starter of tandoori mix was burnt and raw. Fried chicken you can make it better at home. Nehari was standard. Had to pay £ 8 service charge. Best was tandoori rotie loved it.
C.
Usually excellent, but last time I was there the waiter served us undercooked chicken and when told about it said "that is how it is supposed to be".
Sent it back, it came back burned.
Have not been back since. Will have to try when things get back to normal.
A. W.
Food was good and reasonably priced, the whole place looked aesthetically pleasing. However, the service was really lacking. Out table was ignored multiple times and were initially charged for things we did not order.
A. C.
Went here last night. Food was absolutely outstanding and incredibly well presented. Restaurant is very stylish and obviously trendy too. Didn't have any problems with service either, it seemed we had about 4 waiters at one point! Would heartily recommend.
f. g.
shisha took an hour to come.
Then when it came..we cancelled it and the iraqi waiter last night decided to be very surprised and sassy about it.
Italian waiter is very friendly and clear. Some of the other waiters really need to be more professional.
J. S.
Our party was greeted on arrival and we were invited to savour the atmosphere of the fiery, open-plan kitchen whilst waiting in the bar area.
We were then guided to our table- a beautifully presented semi-circular booth. Our waiter, Flavio, attended to us regularly and kept the supply of food and drink flowing.
Our main courses were delicious and the desserts delectable.
All in all our culinary experience was extremely satisfactory and beyond all reproach. We will most definitely be dining here in the near future.
A. C.
Oh Zouk, I love you, but why can't you sort out the service?
I requested waiter Flavio because I know from previous experience that he's a (the) great waiter. Unfortunately he wasn't working tonight. Nonetheless, on arrival, we were seated at one of the preferred booths, and promised great service regardless. It started well, with an attentive waiter taking our drinks and poppadom order quite quickly. It went downhill from there. We waited at least ten minutes for three drinks, at 6pm in an empty restaurant - the poppadoms came first. Grrr. We never saw 'original waiter guy' again. Another waiter wandered over and had to ask if we had ordered yet. What? You don't know? Starters and mains arrived and went fine, service-wise. Food was excellent as usual. I asked for some tap water - it came quickly in a bottle with the glasses with ice. But I had to pour it myself - why? These are the simple things to get right. I ordered some breakfast tea to finish, because I love the Jeeves and Jericho tea. Fortunately I could see what was going on and saw the waitress find the tin empty and go to the cupboard underneath for some PG Tips tea bags. I know they weren't going to check, inform or ask me if this was ok, so I got out of my seat to challenge this - I wasn't going to pay £2.95 for PG Tips. This is borderline dishonest.
I feel that the main issue is that instead of dedicating a waiter to look after a table, it's a free for all. I kid you not, we must have had six or eight different people at our table. Most of them have no idea about how to do table service properly, even the basics. And then a 10% service charge is added. Please Zouk, please stop doing that until you've sorted out these problems. I expect everyone who comes through the door resents this as much as I do. I know it's optional, but who feels bold enough to ask? Well, apart from me....
The service is so frustratingly bad that I might be inclined to say 'I'm never going to Zouk again'. But I will be going again because we love the food and atmosphere. I'll be asking for Flavio again and hoping that he's there, or that some of his skills have rubbed off on the others.
10 points to anyone who got to the end of this review :-P
H.
The atmosphere and setting of the place is amazing and beautiful (definitely a place to come and take some nice pictures at). However the food doesn't live up to the expectations. The currys served here are amazing but the other food options arent so great.
S. T.
Nice Tiffin's food served with a lot of bread
S. g.
So popped in here before venturing out in mcr the other night. Great out door but heated sheesh area. Then ventured inside wow the venue is a lot larger than it seems with lovely airy dining space and great views of the food. The staff were all helpful and friendly can’t wait to get to go in and try the food!!! They also have the great instagramable wall for great pics x
M. I.
Nice ambiance in the restaurant, the starters were nothing special as the chicken seemed over cooked but the spinach and chicken curry was tasty.
z.
Food was ok ordered a karahi didnt taste like a karahi to me though sweet and no spice really. However the seekh kebab was ok for our starters. And i think its pricey for the quality of food. Wont be visiting again im afraid alot more better restaurants in manchester .
D. R.
Good menu. Decent service from some staff but a little erratic from others. Not inexpensive but the quality on most food items is good a little varied on others.
Good variation of choice across food groups and ethnicities. Eat around the World in one restaurant.
P. F.
The food and restaurant were fantastic, probably one of the best I've been to.
However, everyone at my table noticed that the waitresses were treated horribly by the male members of staff - it made us very uncomfortable and put a downer on the night.
C. B.
Very good food. We had a table of 7 and unfortunately the starters came so apart 3 had finished theirs and the rest still waiting. That said on arrival it was knock out, staff quick to apologise and put things right, the mains all came together. I will certainly be going back as the food was lovely as were the staff, and the odd misshap can happen anywhere, and it's what's done about it that counts. Defo worth a visit.
B. S.
Love the ambiance. Food is great. Lovely staff too. Very lovely picture areas
T. M.
Regularly do large takeaway orders from Zouk for performers and artists doing gigs in Manchester, the food is always amazing and the staff handle my orders really well and have always got it bang on!! Highly recommend this place.
A. T.
The mains were ok, the starters were horrible. We got the mixed grill and masala fish. None of it tasted fresh and the fish was over cooked and dry. The staff were lovely, though organised poorly by the management (or lack of)
M. S.
Zouk is by far the best ambience, food freshness and quality, and reliable service in a restaurant I have experienced.
What marks Zouk out is the dedication of the ownership and chefs. It starts there - they are visible and approachable - and your experience is personal.
The kitchen is open and visible - reflecting the confidence and quality. The naan, salmon and ribs are out of this world. I would strongly recommend anyone in Manchester visits Zouk. I actually come all the way from London just for this!
L. A.
Nice shisha place away from the curry mile, food is food. The food is good but was really cold, asked for it to be re heated and the waiter insisted that it was warm went it came and I explained that it was too cold to eat. Still after reheating went cold quickly maybe it was the air conditioning. Price is ok.
B. K.
Food was not bad but the waiters felt an bit lost dont know if they new or what
B. V.
Food, drink, shisha were all really great, but getting in was a nightmare - we queued up behind 2 couples, no one from the staff even acknowledges you, nevermind gives any indication on how long the wait might be. Then a group of people who has just come (and definitely didn't have a reservation from the way they talked) skips the queue and demands being seated right away. Strange attitude there.
A. R.
Had King Prawn and baby spinach with rice and chicken lollipop..... Absolutely amazing food... Credit to the chef!!

One of the best curries you can get in central manchester. Slightly on the hotter side so bear in mind when ordering. Good selection of dishes and drinks available, staff knowledgable on gluten free elements of the menu.
There is plenty of space in zouk and I have never had a problem getting a decent table, although booking at weekends is probably a good idea.
Last, but by no means least, a special mention to Flavio. This veteran of the business was at first unusual to see in an Asian restaurant but was a breath of fresh air. His attention to detail was superb and he genuinely did elevate our dining experience at Zouk. An asset to the company.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Very well organised and welcoming restaurant. They provide generous portions and for affordable prices. I enjoyed the menu very much and the staff members were very attentive and informative. I recommend this place.

Had the lamb laziz, king prawns, and magaz (lamb brains). I can't say I'd get the lamb brains again. Reminded me of a chewy tofu. It wasn't bad, just not my style. Other dishes were awesome! Not spicy (I don't like much spice). The staff is super awesome, and to be honest, they look amazing!! (Not in a creepy way). I'll definitely be back!

I love it here, and have been lots of times. The food is usually very tasty and full of flavour.
At busy times the restaurant is buzzing but the meal is always successful.
I like the chicken livers best.
