Ordered for the very first time today. And the aroma sent a chilling nostalgia inside me. Absolutely worth it. A must visit place for every person who loves authentic Indian flavours.

Highly recommended! Absolutely scrumptious Punjabi food. Family owned and home style cooked food! Must have in Newcastle! We had Chole Bature, poori potatoes, onion bhaji (fresh and piping hot!), lassi and masala chai!

Ordered Punjabi lamb curry through just eat. They have mentioned it’s ‘homemade’ in their menu. Must say it was not only very delicious, it was very freshly made. Will order again and would really recommend their authentic homemade Punjabi lamb curry. Only problem was with the delivery as it was slightly late than the mentioned time. However, it was delivered by a very friendly person.

It's my first go to place whenever I crave for 'mummy ke hath ka khana'.In love with garma garam parathe ,I always choose to dine in and have them there.Love chole ,paneer and dal makhni as well.

Delicious food, and that sums it. As a punjabi living in Newcastle , Poppy's food struck right notes , tasted exactly what I wanted from a Punjabi takeaway. Brilliant timely service , cant appreciate more. Highly recommend to try Chole Bhature for breakfast.(Best Authentic Chole I have tasted ever since I came to Newcastle). Dal Makhani was pitch perfect. Will definitely give other dishes a try as well.

This place is really great. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, Indian food is awesome and some dishes like Panner and Gobi Parthaa are the best and curry and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

Had a takeaway from Poppy’s today. Chana Bhatura was great. Kadhi tasted very authentic as well, but I wish it didn’t have peas in it. Overall, definitely recommend Poppy’s for real Indian/Punjabi food!
