Love this little place, situated in the big market in Newcastle. You can get bus or metro into town and the restaurant is less than five minutes away. The staff are lovely friendly and welcoming. It is clean and tidy and very nicely decorated. The toilet is nice and clean. The food is really really nice and well worth the money and have been here many a time and will definitely be back, in fact over due visit now😊 I have already recommended to my friends and family x

Fantastic Greek meal, we was greeted with very friendly staff. I explained I didn't want chips and that was no problem so we both had the mixed grill I with rice he had with chips. Everything tasted delicious. Especially the sausage I'm informed my husband ate them both to save me from ruining my diet!!

We had booked a table for 5pm to get food before a gig. I was so pleased to see my favourite Kleftiko on the menu and had that. The lamb was lovely and tender. It came with plenty veg. I had a glass of house red which was also nice.

But it's very good at being what it is and doing what it does, which is fantastic food at a very reasonable price. If you're looking for value for money in the centre of Newcastle, you'd struggle to do better than this place. We will be back

This is the most authentic Greek restaurant in the city centre - the food is lovely and the menu diverse but traditional. The service here was great, food excellent and I love the decor of the restaurant, makes me feel as though I'm in Greece. Highly recommend.

Definitely recommending this place for a great dinner! I've been here twice with groups of 10 - 15 people and every time we had an amazing time. The second time we came was on a Saturday night when it was quite busy and the time of waiting was over an hour long just to take the order, but they had live music and a great atmosphere, so we enjoyed ourselves!

The mixed grill or what I call a death by meat is simply insane! Tasty, fresh and the portions are massive! Hallumi fries are the best I ever had! Honestly, best Greek in town. Unusually the delivery food is as incredible as in the restaurant.

Had a lovely girlie night here last night. The staff were so lovely, helpful and attentive. Eva was our main waitress she was so lovely, telling us it was no trouble when 2 of the party were nearly an hour late. We had a really good laugh with her, and the food was just wonderful. I had lunch here today and the food was great and the service was friendly. We had an incident where I ordered from a discounted menu but the waiter thought I ordered from the main menu. The bill was changed by the management/owner but I hope he does not think less of his waiter. The friendly service from his waiter is one of the reasons I will return soon.

I went there for a team lunch. We were the only guests throughout our visit, which worried me somewhat. We all had a main course each being it lunchtime, mine was the mixed grill. The food was decent, but as I have not had Greek food for a long time, I had nothing to compare it to. My other guests were pretty happy with theirs. The annoying thing was that when the bill came, for just over £70 for 5 people, and I gave my card, the person who was working there told me only then that they could not accept card payments as the machine was not working. Luckily I had just enough cash otherwise it would have meant to then go to get some. It would have been much better if we had been told before so then we could have gone in between ordering and waiting for our food.

Strongly reccomend. The food is of excellent quality, we had the mezze and every dish we are was great. Strongly suggest having the mezze dish, as choosing from the menu is otherwise hard work, and the extra cost is well worth it. Service was quick and staff were polite and friendly. Excellent atmosphere, and tables were well spaced to allow social distancing, even on busier nights. Will most certainly return!

I liked the look of the restaurant on-line but have coeliacs disease so need to eat gluten free which I haven't done at a Greek restaurant before. I emailed Karl who emailed me straight back to reassure me he could cater for me. Well I went tonight! Karl say down with me and went through the menu and I had a wonderful meal served within fifteen minutes. I would recommend this restaurant for the friendly, helpful staff who go the extra mile and for the lovely food. When I come back to Newcastle this is where I'm eating!

Pleasant restaurant with live Greek music 🎶. The Greek lady who served us was very pleasant and very friendly, helping us with our order. Didn't wait too long for our food. We ordered the mezze which is a platter of starters and a platter of mains in little portions. There is plenty of food, more than you can eat!. Such an amazing place with awesome staff! We have found this tavern accidentally, through the live greek romantic music becoming outside. The food was really tasty and had huuuge portions. Our real Greek waitress was so lovely, she shared with us a true smile from the first seconds of our visit there and even helped to find cash machine after finnished the dinner. Then we didn't need to ask for pack take away rest of our food cause she just pack it up for us... This is the place where you can feel a real greek culture - the respect for food and people with so true smile on the face in same time. Greetings!

(Translated) Greek tavern located in Bigg Market, a lively area, full of bars, restaurants and pubs. Very authentic atmosphere, with live music and a correct menu with reasonable prices. We decided on a Greek side salad; There are two sizes, the one that appears in starters, at 7.10 pounds, and the one that appears in garnishes, at 3.50 pounds, smaller of course, but already quite generous. For main courses, we opted for pork gyros with feta sauce and vegetarian moussaka. With four Greek Mythos beers the bill totaled 42.30 pounds (50 euros) for two people. A very good experience; Very pleasant live music throughout the dinner, very friendly waiters and very abundant dishes. Nos decidimos por una ensalada griega de guarnición; hay dos tamaños, la que figura en entrantes, a 7,10 libras, y la que figura en guarniciones, a 3,50 libras, más pequeña lógicamente, pero ya bastante generosa. Como platos principales, optamos por gyros de cerdo con salsa de feta y moussaka vegetariana. Con cuatro cervezas griegas Mythos la cuenta sumó 42,30 libras (50 euros) para dos personas. Una muy buena experiencia; música en directo muy agradable durante toda la cena, camareros muy simpáticos y platos abundantísimos.
